ten stages of a Muslim believer ♡
"Surely, men who submit themselves to God and women who submit themselves to Him, and believing men and believing women, and obedient men and obedient women and truthful men and truthful women, and men steadfast in their faith and steadfast women, and men who are humble and women who are humble, and men who give alms and women who give alms, and men who fast and women who fast, and men who guard their chastity and women who guard their chastity, and men who remember Allah much and women who remember Him — Allah has prepared for all of them forgiveness and a great reward" (33:36)
if you think about this quote, you might see that these 10 attributes actually lead on from each other. they're almost like different stages one after the other that ultimately lead to a complete devotion to Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ and a way of living. for example:
submission to 'submit' means to accept. so submitting requires one to accept the truth of Allah through reason and common sense. for example, you look around in the world and think - 'there is definitely a Creator who made all of this'. it's common sense. so you submit yourself to Allah.
believe this submission leads to the belief in Allah. to believe, you combine your emotions and feelings with reason. you're not just accepting that there is a God, you truly believe in Him.
obey your belief in God then leads you to obey Him. He is your Lord. you've submitted, you believe and now you're attracted towards your Creator and you love Him and want to please Him. so you obey His commands.
be truthful obeying Him now means that you take on certain attributes, honesty being one of them. you face trials and tribulations but remain honest. you tell the truth even when it's hard.
be patient the trials and tribulations that you face in this life now give you sabr, a beautiful realisation that you're free from the love of wordly things and instead, understand that this life is a temporary abode. so you're patient and take hardship on for His sake as you wait for the great reward of the true life, the true home. Jannah.
be humble however, through these trials and through patience, you still remain humble. you understand that as humans, we are weak and Allah is completely perfect and have humility in prayer and are free from arrogance in your heart towards other people.
give charity being patient and humble now make you realise that you should be selfless and give to others, share your blessings with those who are less fortunate than you
fast this is also a sacrifice, a greater sacrifice than just giving money. you sacrifice your needs - food and water - to attain righteousness, be more conscious of the blessings He provides and for a reminder of those less fortunate than us. that comes with being humble and patient.
be chaste a believer also guards themselves to block out any access to sin, are morally pure in all ways - physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually chaste and pure. this also comes with submitting, believing, obeying, patience, humility and selfless acts as they make you more righteous, and in turn, make you want to be chaste
remember God through having these attributes and making these actions, you remember Allah through it all. you praise Him, you do it for His sake. not to show other people, but are so engrossed in his Bounty that you remember Him with all that you do. everything reminds you of Him. there's nothing that doesn't remind you of Him.
#opened the Qur'an to this quote today and really needed it and thought about it and knew i had to make a post on it#excited to Qur'an journal more and interpret and analyse more and journal my thoughts :')#islam#muslim#sabrgirl#ramadan#religion#prayers#allah#islamic#quran#muslims#dua#salah#salat#God#zikr

I think maybe the saddest thing about extremely religious people is that they genuinely believe that you’ll go to hell if you don’t accept their Lord. I mean this mostly about Muslims, I can’t speak much for Christianity
I was raised in a Muslim country. In the schools there all Muslim students had to attend Islamic studies classes, while the non-Muslim students had moral science classes.
Aside from Islamic history and theology, one of the first things that I was taught that really stuck to me, was that people who rejected the word of Allah would be sent to Jahannam (Hell). Those who were ignorant of the True Religion would be spared but anyone who had heard the Truth of Allah and didn’t accept it? They would go to hell. My teacher even said that in this day and age, with access to the internet, no one has the excuse of being ignorant now.
It terrified me. What about my friends? My school had Hindus and Christian galore. What about them? They were good people. Were they going to hell? Couldn’t I help them? One of my other Muslim friends actually started sobbing about it. “Rem.. I don’t- I don’t want my friends to go to Hell, Rem”
We were Seven. Years. Old.
No kid deserves that
And as I’ve grown older I’ve only seen more of it. And I feel heartbroken. These are people that truly believe in their faith and within that belief they’re taking the most moral action they are capable of taking. They don’t want people to go to hell. They want people to go to heaven. They are so fearful of their Lord that they’re willing to be the bad guy in this life to see you next to them in Jannah (Heaven). They believe that. With their entire hearts and it crushes me every single time.
I think about it every time my mother talks about modesty. I think about it every time my father reminds me about prayer. Everytime one of the elder relatives reminds us kids to read the Quran.
I think about it every time I remember that I told my sister that I was terrified that one day she wouldn’t keep my sexuality a secret because she believed it would be the morally correct thing to tell my parents and she couldn’t look at me and say that it wouldn’t happen.
And I’m never going to be able to hate them for it, because I’ll know in my heart that they’re doing what they’re doing with the best of intentions even if it fucking kills me and every damn time I think about it it makes me burst into tears

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem.
Indeed, the Qur'an is filled with verses that offer deep solace and hope, promising that Allah, in His infinite wisdom and mercy, will alleviate our sorrows and transform our hardships into ease. Allah assures us that He is ever-watchful, and nothing in our lives escapes His notice.
"فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا. إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا" "So, truly, with hardship comes ease. Truly, with hardship comes ease." Quran 94:5-6
This verse is a divine reminder that after every trial, relief is not just promised once but twice. Your current difficulties, no matter how heavy, will eventually give way to ease and joy. Allah Himself has guaranteed it.
Furthermore, the Qur'an reminds us to stay patient and steadfast:
"يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اصْبِرُوا وَصَابِرُوا وَرَابِطُوا وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ" "O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah that you may be successful." Quran 3:200
Patience and reliance upon Allah are keys to success, both in this world and in the hereafter. The people of Jannah are those who bear their trials with faith and patience, knowing that Allah is with them through every hardship.
Moreover, Allah promises that those who trust in Him will never be abandoned:
"وَمَن يََوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ" "And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him." Quran 65:3
Trust in Allah means acknowledging that even in the depths of our pain, He is our Protector, and He will take care of our affairs, both in this life and the next. Your struggles will not be in vain if you keep your heart tied to Allah and His guidance.
Finally, for the believers who endure, Allah gives a beautiful glad tiding:
"إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتُ الْفِرْدَوْسِ نُزُلًا" "Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds – they will have the Gardens of Al-Firdaus as a lodging." Quran 18:107
Yes, you will meet the people of Jannah, insha'Allah, both in this world through righteous companionship and eternally in the hereafter, where your sorrows will vanish, and you will experience endless joy. Allah's promise is true, and His mercy encompasses everything.
Your pain, your patience, and your trust in Allah will lead you to a brighter future, one that may even surpass your expectations. Allah has a plan for you, and His plans are far greater than anything we can imagine. Never give up hope, for you are in the care of the Most Merciful.

Take care of your heart
Take care of your soul.
And take care of your overall self.
If not, then who will? How will you ever live this life properly or even get to build your jannah? When will you is the real question? When was the last time you even reflected and asked yourself what you are doing and sat with the buried pain you are living by? Maybe this is the tone we need to hear to wake up and grind. We can't continue to sugarcoat our lives, make excuses and feel sorry for ourselves. This is just a cycle we are repeating and assuming the life we are living is ok when literally it's the complete opposite. With this lifestyle, we are sabotaging all the good Allah blessed us with and taking them for granted. We have to be grateful and educate ourselves about our faiths/ourselves and this overall life we are living.
There's no time and it's sad how we are able to waste it all over one or two things as if we know for sure our time is promised. Sometimes this can be exactly why we keep getting tested. I call these tests a calling to quit these ignorant habits and do better. All it takes is that one positive thought, feeling, intention then action to influence the next actions that will help us do better. Just remembe, it's always that ONE step that will fill your pages with great stories...
The mercy of Allah is so vast. He continues to aid us through our messiness, continues to forgive us and is always there no matter how distant we can get from him and our shortcomings.

First tie your camel, then trust in Allah.
Anas bin Malik narrated that a man said: "O Messenger of Allah! Shall I tie it and rely(upon Allah), or leave it loose and rely(upon Allah)?" He said: "Tie it and rely(upon Allah)."
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2517
It teaches us the importance of putting full effort into whatever we're doing, but at the same time, we must have 100% faith in Allah. Both are needed to be successful in whatever we do. Your life's journey and power reside in you. If you make no efforts to better yourself no changes will be made. Take positive action in your life to get what you want.
God only helps those who help themselves. . . . #ramadan#islam#hijab#promo#allah#quran#malaysia#islamicquotes#islamic#ramadanmubarak#makkah#eidmubarak#ummah#allahuakbar#quranverses#madinah#character#islamicreminders#reminder#islamicreminder#sunnah#subhanallah#madina#quranquotes#ramadanmubarak🌙#jannah#islamicposts#muhammad#camel#islamicpost

As salam alaikum. I am truly in need of advice. I’m in a situation which two of my siblings have become kuffar. Both stating they don’t believe. They’re also in relationship with western males. This upsets my family and I a lot. My mom takes it the worst and going through a lot of stress. She has tried to talk to them almost every day and we make dua. They are brainwashed with liberalism and don’t want to take our advice. I feel like a hypocrite myself because I also went through that stage although never made it public to my family. I did find Islam again though. What can I do in these times for Allah to answer my prayers? I really want my duas to be answered and for them to come out of their filthy state and become Muslim. I don’t want my mom hurting anymore. I feel so bad.. please make dua for us. I feel helpless and worried.
وعليكم السلام
Never stop praying for them, and never stop advising them that if they die in this state, they will be among the people of Jahnm,
God forbid. You should always remind them that life may end quickly and what they will do after death if they remain in this state. Send them words from some of the scholars who were the reason for your return as well.
Tell them that by returning and repenting, Allah will forgive them for everything they have done.
Try to know why they got into this situation. If it was the same reason that happened to you, then it is easy to give them answers so that they will come back.
Always send them videos of scholars talking about religion and faith, even if they ignore them. Talk to them gently and kindly, and tell them that you are afraid for them and that you want to be together in Jannah.

Allah calls Himself Ash-Shaheed— The All-and-Ever Witnessing— on 18 occasions in the Quran. Ash-Shaheed is the witness whose sight no one can escape. He is the One with full knowledge of all matters, witnessing the apparent and hidden, anywhere, any time. Ash-Shaheed is the witness and observer of all creation, thoughts, and actions, and the ultimate witness on the Day of Judgment!
The Witness, the Testifier, the Certifier
Shaheed comes from the root sheen-haa-daal, which points to three main meanings. The first meaning is “to bear witness.” The second meaning is to offer testimony, and the third is to have knowledge of something.
This root appears 160 times in the Quran in nine derived forms. Examples of these forms include yashhadu (“to testify”), ashhidoo (“to take witness”), shahaadati (“the seen”) and shuhadaa (“witnesses, martyrs”).
Shaheed refers to Allah’s awareness of everything; He hears every sound, loud and quiet, and sees the small and the large. In addition, He is the One who will testify for or against His servants for their deeds.
Ash-Shaheed Himself says:
Say: What thing is the greatest witness? Say: Allah is shaheed between you and I; this Qur’an has been revealed to me that I may warn therewith – you and whomsoever it may reach. [Quran, 6:19]
Allah is Witness over all things. [Quran, 58: 6] Allah is sufficient as Witness. [Quran, 4: 79]
Allah (Himself) is Witness that there is no god save Him. And the angels and the people of knowledge (too are witnesses). [Quran, 3:18]
A Scene of the Souls
When Allah created Adam, He wiped Adam’s back and every person that He will create from him until the Day of Resurrection fell out from his back. [At-Tirmidhi and Al-Haakim] Allah stated that He brought the descendants of Adam out of their fathers’ loins, and they testified against themselves that Allah is their Lord and King and that there is no deity worthy of worship except Him. Allah then said,(and made them testify as to themselves (saying): “Am I not your Lord” They said: “Yes!”) [Tafseer ibn Katheer]
This was your first testimony and it means we will have no excuse on the Day of Judgement!
It will be said to a man from the people of the Fire on the Day of Resurrection, “If you owned all that is on the earth, would you pay it as ransom’ He will reply, `Yes.’ Allah will say, `I ordered you with what is less than that, when you were still in Adam’s loins, that is, associate none with Me (in worship). You insisted that you associate with Me (in worship).” [Tafseer ibn Katheer]
How Can You Live By This Name?
1. Say the sahahda, live the shahada. The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: Man shahida an la ilaha illallah dakhala al-jannah – Whoever witnesses that there is no god but Allah alone enters Paradise.[Saheeh Muslim]. Your testimony of faith in Allah is something you not only utter, but must live by. When you say I bear witness there is no god but Allah it means that in your talk and actions, in your house or outside you show that you love Allah more than anyone else, you accept Him as your Creator, Master and Ruler of the universe, that you worship Him alone in all matters and not your desires or others’ directions. Next time when you say the shahada in your prayer, reflect upon the meaning. Increase in saying la ilaha illallah to renew your emaan!
2. Trust in Ash-Shaheed. Ash-Shaheed says in this beautiful soothing ayah: So wait patiently for your Lord’s decree, for surely you are in Our sight. [Quran, 52: 48] Rest assured that any unjust treatment by the hands of others you go through, slander, gossip or abuse, Ash-Shaheed is your Witness and you will get justice.
3. Remember that you are a servant. It’s sometimes easy to shout at your family or children inside the house, or even oppress someone when you are in a position of authority over them. Remind yourself in each situation, wherever you are, whoever you talk to, whatever position you have, that you are a servant of Allah. Ash-Shaheed is witnessing every step you take and will you to account. Use this tip: when you are about to do something wrong, look up at the sky and imagine Ash-Shaheed watching you!
4. Don’t make your limbs testify against you.Use your tongue for speech beloved by Ash-Shaheed, your eyes to read the Quran, your limbs to pray to Him as they will all testify as what you used them for! The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: I was amazed at how a servant will dispute with his Lord on the Day of Resurrection. He will say, “My Lord, did You not promise me that you would not treat me unjustly” Allah will say, “Yes.” The man will say, “I will not accept any witness against me except from myself.” Allah will say, “Is it not sufficient that I and the angels, the noble scribes, are witnesses” These words will be repeated several times, then a seal will be placed over his mouth and his organs (or limbs) will speak about what he used to do. Then he will say, “Away with you! It was only for your sake that I was arguing!”)” [Muslim and An-Nasa’i]
5. Always stand up for the truth. Always stand up for the truth in your testimonies, even if it is against yourself! Sometimes it is hard to admit a mistake, or testifying for the truth might even endanger you, but know this characteristic is one of true honour of a believer, which earns you not just a place in Paradise, but a place of honour! And those who are in their testimonies upright and those who [carefully] maintain their prayer: they will be in gardens, honoured. [Quran, 70:33-35]
Wallahu ta’alaa ‘alem.
O Allah, Ash-Shaheed, we know that You witness all things. Guide us to live by the shahada and make us utter the testimony of faith on our deathbed. Help us remember that You are witnessing us, and make this awareness an inspiration for us to increase our good deeds. Make us always stand up for the truth and join us with the prophets and shuhadaa in the highest Paradise, ameen!

I have been studying the Quran for years, but I didn't realize the importance of reading Seerah alongside it. I always thought that I would find the time to read a book on Seerah or watch a series by some ustadh on YouTube. However, I am doing what's important, which is reading and understanding the Quran as it's meant to be. So, I gave secondary importance to the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
I never had tears in my eyes hearing about the Prophet SAW, nor the desire to go to Madinah to visit him, or to be buried in Madinah so that I could be near him or see him in a dream. I could never feel all this or relate to it.
Yes, I heard lectures, felt compassion, and love for a while, but then got over those feelings and thought that maybe this is it. This is all I should be doing.
But then, Nemrah Ahmad launched her course, and like a die-hard fan of hers, I knew I was missing out on something, so I enrolled in it. Still, my thoughts remained the same: that reading and learning Seerah are additional things I would be doing. I didn't give it much importance as my entire focus was on the Quran and Ahadith.
So, I got the course, I opened the first lesson, and I started reading. And boy oh boy, did NA just drop a bomb over my head? She said, “You love to read and understand the Quran, you pray five times a day, you have a relationship with Allah, you want to go to Makkah and Madinah to seek forgiveness. You give Zakat, Sadaqat, and even stay away from sins.
So you believe that in doing so, you have enough faith to enter Jannah. Right? But it is not. It’s like taking an exam, answering all the questions correctly, giving your 100% in the test, but forgetting to write your roll number on the answer sheet. Will this make you pass your exam? No! Because there is a condition to having faith, which was told to us by the Prophet himself (SAW) years ago: "None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his parents, his children, and all of mankind.”
So, you’re telling me that if I’m reading the Quran, praying all my five Salah, doing Tasbeeh, staying away from Haram, giving Sadaqa and Zakat, but I do not have love for the Prophet (SAW) in my heart more than my parents, my children, and all of mankind, that means I have no faith?
And how can I have his love in my heart more than for the entire mankind without reading about him? Without hearing his stories? Without learning what he was like and what he did for us?
And that’s where Seerah comes in 🥹
I don’t think I will ever be able to consider Seerah as something extra now. It is a part of our Deen, our Ilm, and we must learn it as it deserves to be learned because we can only love the Prophet (SAW) when we learn about his life and the sacrifices he made for us. This is why reading Seerah should be a part of our daily lives, just like the Quran and Salah.

"Don’t Just Marry – Marry for Jannah: A Journey Together in Faith"
In Islam, marriage is more than a mere contract; it is a sacred bond that should lead both spouses closer to Allah, helping each other in matters of the deen. Allah commands us in the Qur’an:
"And among His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them, and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed, in that are signs for a people who give thought."
(Surah Ar-Rum, 30:21)
This tranquility is only achieved when both partners strive to follow Allah’s commandments, live according to the Sunnah, and adhere to the understanding of the righteous Salaf (the early generations of Islam). Marrying a person who merely carries the label of "Muslim" without true understanding or commitment to their deen can lead to neglect of the true purpose of worship.
True worship is not just about performing acts like prayer, fasting, and Zakat in a robotic manner without understanding, intention, or sincerity.** The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, "Indeed, actions are [judged] by intentions, and every person will receive what they intended..." (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 1).
Why Marry a Practicing Muslim:
- Prayer: Your spouse should not only pray, but know the purpose and khushu’ (humility and concentration) behind each salah.
- Fasting: They should fast with understanding, striving to attain taqwa (God-consciousness) as Allah mentions in the Qur’an:
"O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous." (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:183)
- Zakat: It’s not enough to give Zakat. They must know its rulings and how it purifies wealth, fulfilling Allah’s command with sincerity:
"Take from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them to increase, and invoke [Allah's blessings] upon them..." (Surah At-Tawbah, 9:103)
- Hajj and Umrah: The desire to complete these pillars of Islam with the right understanding, not out of mere tradition, is a sign of yearning for Allah’s pleasure.
Avoiding Ignorance in Marriage:
The Salaf emphasized the importance of knowledge and acting upon it. Marriage to someone who only performs outward acts of worship but lacks understanding can result in neglecting the essence of the deen. Such an attitude risks turning into the mindset of “monkey see, monkey do,” blindly following rituals without heart or purpose.
Marry with Purpose:
Marriage should be a partnership where both spouses help each other through the trials of life and strive to reach Jannah together. As Allah commands:
"And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression."
(Surah Al-Ma'idah, 5:2)
Your spouse should be the one to hold your hand, **not only through the joys of this world but also through the challenges**, reminding each other to remain firm on the path of Allah. Aim for a spouse who **pushes you closer to Allah**, and in return, you do the same for them.
"Don’t just marry for the sake of it – marry with the goal of supporting each other through the thicks and thins of this dunya until you meet in Jannah, bi’ithnillah."

The videos I've seen from Palestine are haunting. And the sheer ignorance of my country is soul crushing. I've been educating myself every day about the history of how this all began and the more I learn, the angrier I am. I haven't eaten in days because the rage and sickness I feel in the pit of my stomach won't let me. I physically can't swallow without choking. My hands are shaking and my eyes are sore. I feel like I'm going insane. I'm doing everything I can but it never feels like enough. It's on my mind 24/7. My family and friends are worried about me and tell me to stop looking into things but I don't know how to go on living normally in a world like this. I know it seems like I'm virtue signalling and asking for sympathy but I'm not. This is just the situation I'm in and I wanted to ask you, how do you go on living? What stops you from falling into a pit of insanity amid all of this?
i'm sorry you're suffering so badly. i hope you can achieve peace, a sense of clarity, and rest. may Allah end your suffering and bring you joy and eternial happiness in the akhirah, ameen.
to be completely honest with you i don't know how to keep living. i really don't. i've hardly eaten, i can't focus, i've been crying nonstop for weeks. waking up every morning to face another day in this world feels like torture, and nothing seems worthwhile anymore. and the only thing that is keeping me alive is the fact that if i kill myself, i'll go to hell. in a way i feel as though that is a mercy from God, but also a test. i believe that everything that is happening right now is a test from God, and the strongest people with the faith that things will be better in the end will achieve the most rewards in the afterlife. i don't know if you're religious, but i still hope you get rewarded immensely for your care.
i'm not a good muslim. i don't practice well enough, i don't learn as much as i should, and i'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to my religion. but it's the only thing keeping me going at this point. the promise that you simply being a good person is valuable enough to get you sent to eternal happiness is what helps me through the day. i feel as though i'm already in a pit of insanity, but the one thing keeping me grounded is knowing that one day i'll be free and i will see all of my people in jannah.
but i know religion isn't for everyone. and that's okay. i hope you can take comfort in seeing how the world is changing, because palestine will be free. things are turning, people are opening their eyes, and although many won't be able to live to see it, palestine will be free. we can feel it, we can see it, we can hear it. most of the world is on our side, and it's only a matter of time before palestine is freed and we can go home. and the fight won't stop there. we need to liberate everyone. we need to help all indiginous people everywhere. there is always going to be another struggle, and we MUST do our part to fight back against the oppressors. the world is never going to be perfect, but we must strive to make it that way as much as we can.
anon i'm sorry you're going through such a hardship right now. i hope you will find a moment of peace and eat or drink something soon. again, i don't know if you're religious but i find that clinging onto a sort of hope for the future, whether that be religion or anything else, is one of the many things that can help someone cope. i pray you find peace, and i pray that i'll see you in jannah, amongst millions of others who are standing up for palestine today.
i'm sorry if this was of no help. please find some time to take a sip of water, wash your face, and breathe. you'll be okay. the world will be okay, i promise.
#anon i'm sorry if you're not religious. the answer to your question for me is quite literally religion.#but i know that religion is not and will not help everyone#so i hope you can find some rest soon. and take comfort in knowing that palestine will be free one day. soon inshallah.

Hold on for not much more remains ~
Oh you who believe,
Hold on to your Islam, hold on to your tawhid, hold on to your iman.
For verily relief is near.
Allah will eventually open His doors of mercy upon you and me.
After many tears, many nights yearning and pleading with your Lord you will one day taste the fruits of your supplications.
For Allah will never take leave of His faithful servants. He will answer the call of the caller.
Even if you fall, even if you grow tired, you must not lose hope nor despair.
Our Lord is Al Kareem and Al Ghafoor. You have to find your way back to Him and He will never let you down in your times of difficulty.
Oh Lord, forgive us if we ever lose hope.
This path, although filled with many thrones, its beautiful fragrance remains. Despite the pain we have endured our wounds are decorated with roses that grow.
May Allah not cause our hearts to deviate. May He grant us thabat through every hardship, through every struggle, through every physical and emotional pain. May Allah open His doors of Mercy upon us all. May He answer the supplications of the sincere callers. May He grant a way out for all those who desire a way.
Never lose hope, oh you who believe in Allah and the last day. Never lose hope, oh you who tread on this difficult path. Jannah is a promise for those who believe, despite everything, despite the pain and sadness, Jannah is a promise. So hold firm, hold firm with all your might on to the rope of Allah because this life is test to see who amongst us are from the truthful.

The comming of Dajjal and the descension of Isa a.s. (Jesus)
An-Nawwas bin Sam`an (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) mentioned Dajjal, one morning, as something despised but also alarming, until we thought that he was in the stand of date-palm trees. When we came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) in the evening, he saw that (fear) in us, and said: 'What is the matter with you?' We said: 'O Messenger of Allah, you mentioned Dajjal this morning, and you spoke of him as something despised but also alarming, until we thought that he was in the stand of date-palm trees.' He said: 'There are things that I fear more for you than the Dajjal.
If he appears while I am with you, I will defend you against him. But if he appears after I die, then everyone of you is his own defender. Allah is the One Who remains after me to guide every Muslim. Dajjal will be a young man with very curly hair with one eye protruding (with which he cannot see). I compare (his appearance) to that of Al-`Uzza bin Qatan. He who amongst you survives to see him, should recite over him the opening Ayat of Surat Al-Kahf (i.e., Surat 18: Verses 1-8). He will appear on the way between Syria and Iraq and will spread mischief right and left. O slaves of Allah! Remain adhered to the truth.''
We asked: "O Messenger of Allah! How long will he stay on the earth?'' He said, "For forty days. One day will be like a year, one day like a month, one day like a week and the rest of the days will be like your days.'' We said: "O Messenger of Allah! Will one day's Salat (prayer) suffice for the Salat of that day which will be equal to one year?'' Thereupon he said, "No, but you must make an estimate of time and then offer Salat.'' We said: "O Messenger of Allah! How quickly will he walk upon the earth?'' Thereupon he said, "Like cloud driven by the wind (i.e., very quickly). He will come to the people and call them to his obedience and they will affirm their faith in him and respond to him. He will then give command to the sky and it will send its rain upon the earth and he will then send his command to the earth and it will grow vegetation. Then in the evening their pasturing animals will come to them with their humps very high and their udders full of milk and their flanks stretched.
He will then come to another people and invite them, but they will reject him and he will leave them, in barren lands and without any goods and chattels! He would then walk through the waste land and say to it: `Bring forth your treasures', and the treasures will come out and follow him like swarms of bees. He will then call a person brimming with youth and strike him with the sword and cut him into two pieces and make these pieces lie at a distance, which is generally between the archer and his target. He will then call that young man and he will come forward, laughing, with his face gleaming out of joy; and it will be at this very time that Allah will send `Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) who will descend at the white minaret in the eastern side of Damascus, wearing two garments lightly dyed and placing his hands on the wings of two angels. When he will lower his head, there would fall drops of water from his head, and when he will raise it up, drops like pearls would scatter from it. Every disbeliever who will find his (i.e., `Isa's) smell will die and his smell will reach as far as he will be able to see. He will then search for Dajjal until he will catch hold of him at the gate of Ludd (village near Jerusalem), and will kill him. Then the people, whom Allah will have protected, will come to `Isa son of Maryam, and he will wipe their faces and will inform them of their ranks in Jannah, and it will be under such conditions that Allah will reveal to `Isa these words: `I have brought forth from amongst my slaves such people against whom none will be able to fight, so take these people safely to the mountain (Tur).'
And then Allah will send Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Gog and Magog people) and they will sworn down from every slope. The first of them will pass the Lake Tabariyah (near the Dead Sea in Palestine) and drink all its water. And when the last of them will pass, he will say: `There was once water there.'
Prophet `Isa (ﷺ) and his companions will then be so much hard-pressed that the head of an ox will be dearer to them than one hundred dinar, and `Isa along with his companions, will make supplication to Allah, Who will send insects which will attack their (Ya'juj and Ma'juj people) neck until they all will perish like a single person. Prophet, `Isa and his companions will then come down and they will not find in the earth as much space as a single span which would not be filled with their corpses and their stench. Prophet `Isa and his companions will then again beseech Allah, Who will send birds whose necks will be like those of Bactrian camels, and they will carry them and throw them where Allah will desire. Then Allah will send down rain which will spare no house in the city or in the countryside. It would wash away the earth until it appears like a mirror. Then the earth will be told to bring forth its fruit and restore its blessings; and as a result of this, there will grow such a big pomegranate that a group of people will eat from it and seek shelter under its skin. Milk will be so blessed that the milk of one she-camel will suffice for a large company and the cow will give so much milk, that it will suffice for a whole tribe. The sheep will give so much milk that the whole family will be able to drink out of that, and at that time Allah will send a pleasant wind which will soothe people even under their armpits, and will take the life of every Muslim and true believer, and only the wicked will survive. They will commit adultery in public like donkeys, and upon them will come the Hour.

ISLAM 101: Basic Islamic Phrases: Part 4
Islamic Terms
Hijra: To migrate. This term refers firstly to the great migration of the Muslims in the year 622 from the hostile city of Mecca, which was controlled by idol-worshippers, to the safer city of Madinah (then called Yathrib) where Islam could exist freely. The Islamic calendar begins with the Hijra as the first year.
'Ibadah: This term is often translated as “worship” but it is not a correct translation. The word worship in English just means praying and bowing, like worshipping in a church. But the term 'Ibadah literally means “service” and it comes from the root word, “to serve.” When we say that Islam considers all life to be 'Ibadah, we mean that our whole life should be lived in the service of Allah. We are here to serve Allah. In Islam, any good deed, action or thought, even just holding a steady job or smiling at someone is considered doing 'Ibadah for Allah.
Iblees: Satan
Iftar: The meal you eat after sunset in Ramadan. Suhoor is the light breakfast before first light in the morning during Ramadan.
Ilm: Knowledge
Imam: Literally: leader. Although most Muslims take this term in the sense of a leader of the prayers, it does apply to the group leader outside of prayer as well. An Imam must be elected by the Muslims or at least accepted by them if he is appointed from outside. If the community rejects him, then he cannot be the Imam.
Eman: (Eemaan) Belief or faith. The root word of Eman is Amuna. It implies three meanings: 1) to believe, 2) to confirm that belief in your heart, and 3) to feel safe. Eman is what makes a person a Muslim. Often spelled “Iman”.
Ihsaan: Usually translated as “goodness”. The Prophet (p) defined it as knowing that Allah is watching you even though you don’t see Him.
Injeel: The Gospel of Prophet 'Esa (Jesus). The New Testament of the Bible is not the Gospel of Jesus. The New Testament was written by a lot of different authors well after Jesus went up to the heavens, and it contains stories about Prophet 'Esa, but it is not 'Esa’s message. The present New Testament was assembled three hundred years after the time of Prophet 'Esa by a group of white men on a Greek Island who voted on what their “holy” book should contain. Most of the votes were hotly debated! The Roman emperor who ordered them to do it then told all Christians to accept this new compilation of writings. All other Christian writings were ordered to be destroyed. The New Testament contains four books called Gospels: (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John). Hundreds more “Gospels” from other authors were burned. A few such as the Gospel of Barnabas and Thomas have survived. The Gospel of Jesus was never written down and is lost.
Insha'llah: If Allah wills something to happen only then will it happen.
Iqamah: The second call to prayer just before the actual prayer begins.
Islam: A submission to God. To surrender to Allah and find peace. To submit oneself TOTALLY to the lord.
Jahannam: Hell.
Jam'a: Together, in a group.
Jannah: Paradise, Heaven. It literally means “the Garden.”
Jibra'il: The angel that brought Allah’s revelation to the Prophet. Allah is so powerful and majestic that it is beneath him to reveal Himself to humans. We are like an ant next to a star in comparison to Allah. He sends the angels to do these small jobs, though He doesn’t need them. In English his name is Gabriel.
Jihad: A struggle
Jinn: These are another type of creature Allah created. They are invisible to us but they can see us. They were made from fire elements and thus are pure energy. They are not like ghosts or weird monsters. They can influence your thoughts, encourage you to do wrong, and whisper fears into your mind. They can be good or bad. The good jinn leave us alone. The bad ones, who are also called Shayateen, or Devils, want to destroy you. Astrologers and fortune tellers get their “predictions” and “readings"from them. Jinn spy on the Angels and learn secrets about the future, then they whisper it into the minds of the fortune tellers. Jinn live, die and have families like us but they exist on another plane altogether. The Prophets could control the Jinn but none of us ordinary people can. Although we believe Jinn can possess a human body, Islam teaches that it’s not very common. Don’t believe every “Jinn story” Muslim immigrants will tell you about their aunt or second cousin’s brother. Most of it will be superstitious stories that are culturally based.
Jumu'ah: The Friday Prayer in which all Muslims gather to hear a sermon called a Khutba. It’s time is in place of the Zuhr Salah, usually somewhere between 12 pm and 2 pm. It is mandatory on all men to attend. It is optional for women. The Prophet said if you miss three Jumu'ahs in a row then hypocrisy will start to enter your heart.
Kafir: People who conceal the Truth and actively plot against Islam. Usually we say the easier English word “unbeliever.” The plural is Kuffar. (Unbelievers.) The noun (unbelief) is Kufr.
Khalifah: This word means Steward, Manager or Care-taker. Allah made humans to be the Khalifah of the earth. In other words, we were given the earth as a trust to take care of. We shouldn’t ruin it or pollute it. The head of the Muslim Ummah is also called a Khalifah because he is to take care of the Muslim community. Muslims are supposed to elect a Khalifah, but there hasn’t been a world-wide Khalifah for a long time.
Khatib: The person who gives the Khutbah, or Friday sermon. The preacher during Friday services.
Kitabullah: The Book of Allah. (The Qur'an.) The word Kitab means book.
Mahr: The money (or whatever else) that the man has to give to a woman in order to marry her. It is called the marriage-gift and a woman can ask for whatever she wants. If it is money, it can be deferred and paid gradually over time. The husband can never take it away for any reason.
Malik ul Mawt: The Angel of Death.
Masjid: Literally means, “the place of bowing.” This is the name for a Muslim prayer hall or commonly known as Mosque.
Madhhab: This means, “School of Thought.” In Islam we have the Qur'an, the example of the Prophet and the sayings and guidance of the Prophet’s companions. Through the centuries, various Muslim scholars have tried to make those teachings easier for Muslims to live by through organizing them, talking about them and trying to use those tools to find answers to questions where those first three sources are quiet.
Of course different opinions developed between different scholars and some people chose to follow one scholar or the other. Those differences in ideas about how to follow Islamic rules are called “Schools of Thought.” There are 4 main schools today. Some people say you have to “follow” one of those schools to be a Muslim, but this is not true. You have to follow Islamic teachings but you don’t have to put some label on yourself. Each of the four schools is named after the scholar who founded or inspired it. The four are: Maliki, Hanafi, Hanbali, Shaf'i. The books and writings of the schools are a good source of information about the particulars of Islam, but our real label is, “I am a Muslim, and only a Muslim.” The Hanafi and Shaf'i schools are considered the easiest school and the Hanbali is considered the hardest in terms of social and personal rules. But they are all right in their own way and it is recommended to follow one in order to safe guard ones self from following ones own desires although it is not obligatory it is recommended.
Mecca: (Also spelled Makkah). A city in Arabia founded thousands of years ago by Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham). At that time it was called “Becca.” Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was born there in the year 570.
Medina: (Also spelled Madinah). A city about 200 miles north of Mecca. The Prophet established the Islamic community there. He passed away there and is buried there.
Mu'adhan: The person who does the call for prayer.
Mujahid: A person who does Jihad or holy war.
Mu'min: A person with Iman(faith). A true believer.
Mus-haf: The Arabic text of the Qur'an. “Brother, hand me a Mus-haf.” (Qur'an with the Arabic in it).
Mushrik: A person who commits Shirk (making partners with Allah). Usually an idol-worshipper. A Hindu would be considered a Mushrik because they bow down to many idols and statues.
Muslim: A person who surrendered to Allah and is working at finding peace.
Nabi: This term means Prophet.
Nafs: This is often translated as “soul” but it really means “the self,” i.e. “You and only you.”
Naar: The fire (of Hell).
Nikkah: The Islamic wedding ceremony.
Niyyah: Intention

They will say, 'O Allah! (Save) our brothers (for they) used to pray with us, fast with us and also do good deeds with us.' Allah will say, 'Go and take out (of Hell) anyone in whose heart you find faith equal to the weight of one (gold) Dinar.' Allah will forbid the Fire to burn the faces of those sinners. They will go to them and find some of them in Hell (Fire) up to their feet, and some up to the middle of their legs. So they will take out those whom they will recognize and then they will return, and Allah will say (to them), 'Go and take out (of Hell) anyone in whose heart you find faith equal to the weight of one half Dinar.' They will take out whomever they will recognize and return, and then Allah will say, 'Go and take out (of Hell) anyone in whose heart you find faith equal to the weight of an atom (or a smallest ant), and so they will take out all those whom they will recognize."
Sahih al-Bukhari 7439

Powerful Tips for the Last 10 Nights of Ramadan
1. Do not let your ‘performance’ until now affect your last 10 days. The moment of forgiveness could be today or anytime in the coming days! It is not all lost! If you sincerely wish it could have been better - Chin up and get ready to make it your best yet! Start with a positive, sincere intention!
2. Today, take a little time to read the Tafseer of Surah al-Qadr to understand what actually happens this night! You will feel its power & greatness so much more!
3. Do not wait for the 27th Night to give it your “all". The entire last 10 days should be your target. Stay up each night! Would you want to miss Laylatul Qadr even “by chance"?
4. Do not fall into any innovations/celebrations any masjid or culture might try to promote. Follow the Sunnah! The Prophet (sallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) guided us simply: “Whoever stays up and prays on Laylat al-Qadr out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.”
5. Memorize and keep asking the dua’ taught by Rasulullah (sallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam): Allaahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibb al-‘afwa fa’affu ‘anni (O Allaah, You are forgiving and You love forgiveness, so forgive me).
6. Prepare a short dua’ list. Remember this is as awesome as it ever gets for a servant of Allah! The Night of Qadr, of Destiny! Consciously pick each and everything you crucially wish for in this dunya, in your deen, family, and in your aakhirah! Don’t forget to include the brothers and sisters around the world who are suffering and in grief!
7. Take brief naps during the day, if possible. Keep your stomach light and sleep as soon as you have prayed ‘isha. Do not delay! After a brief nap, refresh yourself and get ready for worship.
8. Don’t neglect your family! Rasulullah made it a point to wake up his wives throughout these nights! And yes, your children are not too young to stay up some part of the night - if they can be allowed to play video games or watch TV, they can be inspired to be up atleast for sometime! Prepare them, make them excited, plan some activities for them to do!
9. Look the Part: The way we dress and prepare has a big effect on our psychology. Wear your best, perfume yourself, and feel the energy!
10. Choose a spot, whether in the Masjid or in your home, where you can have peace and solitude. Keep your mushaf, praying mat, and water at hand so that you are not distracted by constantly getting up for this or that.
11. IMP: This is not the night to tweet pics or update FB statuses about how amazing the night is and how you are feeling & worshipping Allah! Let that be a secret between you & your Rabb! So switch off those phones, wifi, laptops and computers. Disconnect with the world, and connect with al-‘Afuww!
12. If you find yourself feeling sleepy, vary your acts of worship. Alternate between qiyaam, heartfelt dua’a, reading the Qur’an. Do not spend the night listening to lectures or recitations. Or do it only for a short while when you feel the sleep coming on!
13. Patience is the Key: The last 10 days might be tiring. You might still have work or school. This is the time to bear all that hardship, and keep firm sabr. Think how Allah has blessed you with this tremendous opportunity that might NEVER come again in your life again. If you knew for sure that this was your last day, if you knew certainly that Jannah was up for grabs, wouldn’t you sprint for it no matter what it takes?
14. This is most important: Keep husn adh-dhann bi Allah (good expectations from Allah). When you ask, remember you are asking the Most Generous King. If you hope for the best, He will give you the best. Don’t hold back. Trust in Him, pour out your heart in front of Him, and let no doubt, no barrier, no evil thoughts keep you away from ar-Rahman, ar-Raheem!

“Why would Allah forgive me when I have done so-and-so in life. What good is my tawbah at this point?"
Sometimes the regret of our sins make us believe that our tawbah and supplications have no worth in the Sight of Allah ta'ala.
But reflect the life of Prophet Adam 'alayhis-salaam. He lived in Jannah in pure happiness and total tranquillity. He had absolutely everything he ever wanted, and faced no hardship of any kind.
If any normal person who experienced all these extraordinary comforts of life, and then had everything snatched away — all those ease and tranquillity — he would have easily fallen into despair and lost all hope.
Iblis himself despaired, but Prophet Adam didn’t. As soon as he slipped, he immediately turned to Allah:
🌟 ❛Our Rabb, we have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers.❜ [Surah al-A’raf 7 : 23]
🌟 ❛And his Rabb pardoned him.❜ [Surah al-Baqarah 2 : 37]
Prophet Adam didn't let his guilt make him feel unworthy to turn back and call upon Allah. Yes, he took ownership of his mistake, but you know what he didn't take ownership of? — The Forgiveness and Mercy of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Our circumstances will always change. We ourselves change. From a moment of weakness and disobedience, to a moment of taqwa and obedience, and to the next. We change, but Allah doesn't. He subhanahu wa ta'ala remains Al-Ghafoor, Ar-Rahim. And He is Al-Mujeeb, the One Who Responds.
Take ownership of our misdeeds, but don't project our weaknesses and flaws upon Allah. Once we've made sincere tawbah and moved away from that sin, we must place our trust in His Forgiveness and Mercy, or else we'll remain pegged down and won't be able to progress in our faith.
Iblis despairs of Allah, and made things worst. Prophet Adam sought forgiveness from Allah, and made things better — he focused on what was beneficial.
