may i have some headcanons? S/O is a big big fan of "strange" animals, specifically bugs and fish, and enjoys going on hikes and swimming to find different species. how would the skeletons react? for ut papyrus, us bros, uf sans, sfp papyrus, fsr papyrus, and fsg papyrus, please! (can you tell i really like the papyri lmao)

if the above is too long of a prompt, how would the above skeletons react to an S/O who has bug terrariums?

I love bugs and have known to catch moths and spiders when my family is too scared of them(I've also caught and released mice but that's a story for another time). Also, the Papyri are the best, they're just so cute, no matter the AU 🤭.

Papyrus : Oh! So you want him to go bonkers! He can deal with fish(after all, he's best friend with one), he can deal with cats and dogs and everything else, but bugs? Why's it got to be bugs? You can gently push him into a weird-animal-loving perspective by showing him the pretty moths and playful lizards, but good luck getting him to hold a spider or a millipede.

Cobalt : Woah, those are so cool! Can he hold one? He seems interested at first... until he feels their little legs trailing up his bones. With all of those tiny feet speeding up his arm and latching onto him for balance, Blue is instantly disinterested. He'll love them from afar.

Honey : He likes taking you places to go find said animals, even if he naps in the car the whole time. Hey, Y/N, go place a bug on his chest. Cue the loud screeching followed by falling out of the car.

Red : Surprisingly, he's more into it than you, which is odd because usually he only acts like it even though he's scared of his shadow half of the time. He points out lizards that were too quick for your eye, camouflaged bugs hiding in trees, and the odd fish out in the water.

Rus : Lizards, insects, spiders?! You're almost perfect for him! Even though he's usually too lazy to pick his fatass up off his bed or the couch- if you tell him you're going hunting for little guys, he's on your heels. He wants to go, please? His hands grab your shirt everytime he notices you going near the door while holding a small container. Where are you going, s/o? He's wants to come too.

Pup + Coffee : Unless it has four legs and is fluffy, Pup wants nothing to do with it. I'm sorry, but he's not the best fit for this one, and neither is Coffee. Coffee is more willing to let your stickbug hang out on his finger, but Pup freaks out at the sight of a ladybug or a butterfly. For someone who's supposed to be your scary guard dog, Pup sure is a wuss.

As for the terrariums, almost all of them would be chill with them. Until you ask where Fluffy the tarantula went, the sound of a skeleton freaking out over your 8-legged friend being somewhere in the house. Whether the worry is for themselves or the spider, that's for you to figure out.

Skellie's have a S/O that four months into the relationship reveals that they have the power to of doors. The ability to go through one door an exit out another as long as they know what the doors look like. They don't use it to invade the privacy of others but they're always just awkward about telling people. How skellies react?

Sans: so sounds like a shortcut, but linked only to doors? Sounds like SO must be a secret mage. Sans wonders if they may have some sort of cloaking or metamorphic ability too. Ghost mage can be a pretty good bet for this set of powers. He’s geeking out over SOs possible heritage now

Papyrus: that’s so cool! So like, just any door, really?? Any door? Do they have to fit through the door for it to work, or does the door have to be light enough to push open. What if the door is locked?? He wants to test this out now!

Star: what if he put a door in his itembox and you step through? Can you finally see the inside of an item box that every one is so curious about? Thankfully honey, who is well versed in the disaster that is putting two bags of holding together in dnd is there to put an end to that idea. One must never trust item boxes.

Honey: you should never pick random doors your remember unless you’re absolutely positively certain that door is the same. You think he’s being overprotective, but he’s not! Honey is sure that there could be dire consequences to the door being damaged! Dnd taught him so!

Mal: oh cool, so you could potentially go to the grocery store any time as long as you remember what the door looks like? Now mal has started sending you pictures of the fronts of stores when he’s feeling too lazy to pick something up himself lol

Cash: what happens when you stand one foot in one door and one foot out the other? And what if someone else stuck their arm through it too at the same time? That would make a marvelous prank you know~

Lord: oh! Well that’s convenient! Do you loose energy doing this, or does it feel just like walking through doors. Are you sure you aren’t a mage? It’s rare but they do pop up randomly sometimes. Maybe you have a great great great (couple more greats) ancestor who was a monster or mage

Mutt: cool, but don’t think it’ll let you run from him, but don’t take it too much for granted. You never know what’s waiting on the other side of the door. Mutt just wants you to be safe.

Wine: he’s taking you to the doctors to get yourself tested. After all, being a mage means different physical requirements when it comes to nutrition, medicine, and even sleep. If you’ve been living as a normal human this whole time, you must be awfully tired all the time

Coffee: what does it look like? The limbo between doors? Do you see the void? He saw his mums notes once that wine keeps close to his chest, and coffee thinks that must be the closest thing to what she researched

so naturally he threatens reader about it until he realizes and understands that papyrus never came thru the machine with him.

if his brother is still in a bad place, then he shall suffer as well.

i think of horror of the quiet kid in the back of the class who fsr always has snacks and never gets caught

his speech is verbally patchy. like, its spaced out as if he has to think about each word he says before saying it.

but, the more comfortable he is, the more he'll try to talk.

he may not be able to show it verbally, but bro is super smart.

while he is interested in stars, he absolutely loves gardening and botany

so if/when he gets a garden he tells reader how to grow really nice shi for no reason at all

on really bad says he'll sit outside in bare gardening dirt (its actually really nice, ive done this once or twice myself) and just bathe in the sun for the rest of the afternoon

since he has a garden, his response is to never let those plump and beautiful veggies go to waste

so he uses them in dinners!

especially when he figured out that okra grows really well in the sun-

one of his favorite things to grow are fruit bearing trees and strawberries.

since i want the fic to have a timeline of at least 3 years, reader gifts axe an apple tree from a plant store they found

speaking of, you guys go plant shopping a lot!

you think about re-shaping the backyard together a lot so the crew can spend more time outside

and with him around renovations are quick to do, even when it gets a bit expensive.

other times you guys will buy small succulents and saplings to put around the house, hoping and praying that the others wont trash them before they grow beautifully.

i head cannon axe to always have some kind of snack in his pockets.

bare chips, skittles he forgot to eat weeks ago, or even a whole ass sandwich in a ziplock which is absolutely funny to me

but his left pockets are where the best snacks are

because he remembers that side the most, and therefore restocks it more often.

other times he'll take you to the corner store if you're feeling the munchies and he doesn't have the snack you want

and if you try to pay, his bills are already on the counter by the time you even think of it.

bro doesn't care what food combos there are, axe will try to eat just about anything

which means you mix shi up like you would at school and dare him to eat it.

and he does, straight face and everything. bro would prolly lick his teeth after too 💀

he plays lil pranks on you, as its natural in his sansnicticityism, so you'll find spicy Mexican candies in random places of your room

other times he'll fuck around and shift some parts of your bedroom to see if youd noticed

Creations AU for example: Born from me having dumb funny ideas like making Bonnie a stoner, or Freddy a literal prostitute and the Night guard a stone faced bad ass who reacts near emotionlessly/weird no matter what bullshit is in front of him.

Shit like that gives way to a LOT of stupid interactions/comedy. Is if objectively funny? Idk. But it makes me laugh.

Fannon Fan cannon ideas I like from a writing perspective. Not exactly a cannon/theory one lmfao can't stress that enough.

Glamrock Freddy being Michael/Josh in Creations instance, Mikebot, William murdering to try and resurrect his children, Golden Freddy being crying child. Those are just some examples of fannon ideas/theories I liked enough to run with.

I mostly focus on CHARACTER based AUs just cause I like writing CHARACTERS not character concepts.... Multiverse Mayhem is a character concept thing, but I'm not ready to write that yet, and it's way more "Character based" when it comes to how it's actually IMPLIMENTED

But you can do em with random concepts too most UNDERTALE AUs I know are more IDEA based than character based:

The laziest/my least favorite/fun trope lmfao but a lot of people like that one. it's SUPER hard to make interesting At least to me but my opinions are ass so you can throw em out. X'D but if you're a good writer you can make nearly anything work.

Evil character A is the good guy and Good guy is the bad guy. They swap outfits and MAYBE their backstory's are swapped? Idk there's no consistent rules to this AU idea. Somehow we ended up with the reverse of what was there in cannon. I've only seen it done in a fun way when it's like REALLY detailed Reverse Falls I found interesting for example. Underswap is lazy af and we can all admit we only like the skelebros. I virtually ONLY like them when they're accessories to other AUs/playing off other Sans and Papyrus but that's just me....

There's also "What if x plot point from cannon was changed"

Like uhh, you know. A character NEARLY dies in cannon but ACTUALLY dies in this AU.

@james-p-sullivan wrote a fic about that with Four Swords where Vio dies at the fire temple.

That still has one chapter left that i am waiting eagerly for. X'D

Basically AUs like this are "Cannon divergence." I think is what they're called???

Because if you know the characters really well you can make em react to whatever divergence in cannon in great ways.

Four Swords Returns for example is a sequel with midquel elements.

Midquel: You add scenes where they COULD have fit in cannon or you flesh out scenes mentioned but not seen.

I made FSR: Because I didn't like the ending we were given.

And if you hate an ending: Make a sequel. It's fun.

This is the last doodle I managed to draw this month. The heat for the past few days was horrible and I couldn’t muster any strength to draw (and my arms got stuck to the desk which made lines look shitty). Underfell!Papyrus, aka Edge, can be exacting and proud, though his bombastic personality belies his insecurities. FellSwap!Papyrus, or Rus, doesn't mind going with the flow, and will talk his way into and out of a lot. The latter will be useful in keeping things cohesive, without forcing him to be the glue. Edge isn't used to the ruthless precision of Tara's barbs, and she isn't used to someone repeatedly getting into her face to challenge her. While Rus will be thrown by her go-getter attitude at first, he admires this punk bartender. He thinks Edge can be hilarious to listen and tease, and appreciates the occasional verbal (or magical) curveballs. He can come off as a troublemaker to Tara and infuriating to Edge, but both of them respect the tenacity he displays.]

[It sounds like it's already a pretty full house, but you do nothing to clutter it. In all actuality, you make it more of a home. Each of them have their own reasons to be interested in your bright, sassy, caring self, but what they can all agree on is how much they owe you. Tara won't sugarcoat or baby him for this, but Rus is good at including him in things because he's like his brother in some ways. When Edge figures out when Tara isn't being malicious with her snark, they start bantering at each other while you snicker into something sweet she whipped up for you. Rus likes to join you to watch. It's interesting how the three of them show their concern for you and each other, how different and yet very similar they can all be. When you catch Rus helping Tara with her small garden, her sneaking a few bucks into Edge's pocket, and Edge kidnapping Rus' entire wardrobe for a wash, you know they've all come to an understanding.]
