Howl & Sophie Triptych, Made for Desert Bus for Hope 2022

These measure about 17.5 x 30.5 and across the 3 are made up of about 1582 pieces. Again, foundational paper pieced design by myself.

I wanted to capture three moments in Howl and Sophie's love story all visually framed similarly against the blue sky.

This one was a really maddening project haha, I'm not certain why I decided to go so small, it was a lot of hand sewing and going insane. I also took soooo few progress photos this year.

I still love how Howl's jacket turned out in the first one.

I've been watching so much Batman the Animated Series. They try very hard to make him spooky™️ and I'm loving it so I designed a quilt square based on the end credit image!

Just a “quick” pop up project, since I decided what I was going to make for my in-laws for Christmas. Quilter Holiday table runner and matching placemats. Here’s the 3 primary blocks for the table runner, and each placemat will probably just be a large “gift” block.

The bow block is my first ever Foundation Paper Piecing block, and it was a lot of fun. It’s by LoverOfLifeDesigns on Etsy, and aside from some confusing color numbering, it was an easy to follow pattern. I cut the size in half since the block as-designed was 16”.

The gift box blocks are a simple self design block built off the backs of every holiday box block I saw on Pinterest.

Luckily,I had all this fabric in house, though I accidentally used a shirting cotton for the white, hence the unfortunate translucency.

I designed this fpp pattern based on the dragon the cover and the next step is to figure out how to piece the sun around him!

Here's another quilt I made for Desert Bus for Hope, this would've been 2021's contribution.

I love Labyrinth so much, so why not make a quilt of the movie poster?

Here are some stats for the Labyrinth Quilt:

Measured roughly 37 x 54.5 inches, about 1600 individual pieces, I believe the smallest one was slightly smaller than a cm. I ended up hand sewing a lot of the crystal ball portion. Also no black was used in the quilt, the dark values were a deep espresso brown.

In retrospect I wish I quilted it better, but meh, what's a girl to do? I still love this one to bits. I should post so of the making of pics too hehe.
