Sea Glass Quilts

A style of art quilting, pioneered by Exhausted Octopus online. A class is available online! She has made at least 79 of this style of quilt as per her website.

Characterized by: rounded shapes, scraps of color, raw edge machine applique, gradient sorting.

The pebbles puff out some & no secondary quilting is needed because you free motion quilt the pebbles onto the quilt sandwich to secure them.

Sea glass usually has frosted or tinted colors but here we see an exuberant use of saturated color.
