Here are some hcs of ghoul Joshua... I don't care how un-canon the 'Joushua is/turning into a ghoul' theory, it goes so hard

Like every day when he redoes his bandages, he has to face the fact he's literally rotting. When he speaks, he notices his voice growing raspier until there comes a day he can no longer recognize it. He cannot escape from the fact he's changing to something less human and godly every day.

And he's not the only one to notice these changes. The deadhorses definitely notice that there's something different about him. However, they're all too afraid to confront him directly, so they whisper among themselves. Daniel tries to confront Joshua, but Joshua just stonewalls because he still hasn't come to terms with it

As icing on the Cake, during his time in the legion, he gained the radiation that turned him into a ghoul, so he's forever tainted by the legion and the consequences of his actions, soul and body for however long he's forced to live
