ソフトウェア開発における「人名のテクニック」パターン一覧
Claude向け人名+テクニック一覧(t_wadaさんのTDDなど) - くらげになりたい。
@t_wada

RFID turnover container recycling management platform
In the medium- and long-term planning of global energy conservation and carbon emission reduction, the smart logistics field is experiencing a transformation of packaging containers from cartons to reused recycling boxes. The recycling of turnover containers has become an inevitable trend in the future. The replacement of folding plastic boxes is expected to reduce costs and save 98,000 carbon boxes each year.
However, due to the high loss, long circulation cycle, and waste of turnover resources in the use of recycling turnover containers, the turnover container asset management platform established introduces RFID technology to reduce management costs, avoid large-scale loss of turnover containers, and improve operating efficiency to better meet customer management needs.
The RFID turnover container recycling management platform plans three functional modules: label coding, data collection, and system application, and conducts efficient management and precise monitoring of the entire process of turnover containers from identification to monitoring.
After actual calculations in operation, after RFID turnover boxes replace cartons, the cost of cartons can be saved by 513,000 yuan per year, the packaging efficiency can be increased by 50%, and carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced by 2 tons. This not only brings significant economic value, but also creates positive social value. It is expected to bring more project benefits in the future.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once again, congratulations to Shanghai Inlay Link Inc. for being included in the 2024 "IoT Star" annual list! Inlaylink has set a new example for the industry with its profound technical strength and innovative spirit in the fields of RFID and the Internet of Things. We look forward to more innovative achievements and breakthroughs from Inlaylink in the future!

Scam Inc. (Economist) Edgar met Rita on LinkedIn. He worked for a Canadian software company, she was from Singapore and was with a large consultancy. They were just friends, but they chatted online all the time. One day Rita offered to teach him how to trade crypto. With her help, he made good money. So he raised his stake. However, after Edgar tried to cash out, it became clear that the crypto-trading site was a fake and that he had lost $78,000. Rita, it turned out, was a trafficked Filipina held prisoner in a compound in Myanmar. In their different ways, Edgar and Rita were both victims of “pig-butchering”, the most lucrative scam in a global industry that steals over $500bn a year from victims all around the world. Pig-butchering, or sha zhu pan, is Chinese criminal slang. First the scammers build a sty, with fake social-media profiles. Then they pick the pig, by identifying a target; raise the pig, by spending weeks or months building trust; cut the pig, by tempting them to invest; and butcher the pig by squeezing “every last drop of juice” from them, their family and friends. The industry is growing fast. The UN says that in 2023 the industry employed just under 250,000 people in Cambodia and Myanmar; another estimate puts the number of workers worldwide at 1.5m. Online scamming compares in size and scope to the illegal drug industry. Except that in many ways it is worse. One reason is that everyone becomes a potential target simply by going about their lives. Another reason scamming is worse than drugs is that the industry is often beyond the reach of the law.
Canadians had been feeling gloomy about their country. Trump changed that. (CSM) For over 30 years, the proportion of Canadians stating they were very proud to be Canadian hardly changed. About three-quarters said so. Last year, however, that proportion dipped considerably. Just 53% of Canadians polled reported being very proud of their national identity. Many experts put the drop down to the price of housing, the cost of living, and postpandemic fallout. The sense of anger, frustration, discontent, and divisiveness in the face of economic malaise has swept through Canada, as it has in many Western democracies. But then President Donald Trump threatened tariffs, and economists said a trade war with the United States could put Canada in recession. Hundreds of thousands of jobs are on the line. Mr. Trump has repeatedly said over the past month that Canada should become the 51st U.S. state. Now Canadians are angry. At hockey and basketball games last weekend, fans booed while “The Star-Spangled Banner” was performed. When “O Canada” came next, they cheered wildly. Canadians have taken the opportunity to push a “buy local” campaign. “There’s this newly found pride in who we are as a country and as a culture,” says Srabana Dasgupta, an associate professor at the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia.
Aid recall (Washington Post) The Trump administration’s abrupt decision to repatriate the U.S. Agency for International Development’s overseas workforce has thrust the agency’s global staff into chaos and despair, as workers scramble to uproot their lives and brace for what they fear will be a shutdown of all American aid missions in 30 days. In interviews, USAID staffers said Tuesday’s recall order has sent them racing to make temporary housing arrangements back in the United States, identify new day cares or schools for their children, and plan for a future in which, as many now believe is inevitable, they are left unemployed. These employees, some assigned to dangerous “hardship” posts, are attempting to navigate that process with little information from the Trump administration and while many are locked out of all agency computer systems. “You find yourself in a foreign country, in all likelihood a place you moved to despite the terrorism or security risks, and you’re being treated as if you’re somehow an enemy of the state,” one USAID official told The Washington Post. “That’s not even the worst of it. You know that your career matters far less than the lives of those you were trying to help, and … a lot of them are going to die without American aid.”
ICC vows to continue 'providing justice' (BBC) The International Criminal Court (ICC) has vowed to continue its judicial work after President Donald Trump signed an order to impose sanctions on its staff. In his first term, Trump sanctioned ICC officials who were investigating whether the US committed war crimes in Afghanistan. These were then lifted under President Joe Biden. This time, Trump accused the court of "illegitimate and baseless actions", referring to an arrest warrant for Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over alleged war crimes in Gaza, which Israel denies. The ICC also issued a warrant for a Hamas commander. The order follows Netanyahu's visit to the White House, in which he gifted Trump a golden pager, a reference to the deadly detonation operation in Lebanon in September.
Tariffs and Tightening Controls Threaten a Way of Life on the Border (NYT) The banks of the Rio Grande bristle with concertina wire. At intervals, Texas National Guardsmen and other troops sent by President Trump stand guard over the border. And several times a week, the sheriff of Maverick County, Texas, drives back and forth over an international bridge—to do his dry cleaning. “I get my hair cut in Mexico too,” the sheriff, Tom Schmerber, said during a recent trip as he hauled a garbage bag filled with his dirty uniforms. Those chores are the kinds of routine, international economic transactions that people on the border have long taken for granted—and that people far from the border, especially those making policy in Washington, D.C., rarely consider. And they are threatened by tightening controls that are already hampering crossings for many would-be consumers, investors and business interests in Mexico and the United States.
Panama rejects U.S. claim it dropped canal fees after Rubio visit (Washington Post) President José Raúl Mulino on Thursday denied a claim by the Trump administration that the Central American country had agreed to eliminate tolls for U.S. government ships using the Panama Canal, in an apparent setback to U.S. diplomatic efforts. “I am very taken aback by yesterday’s news release from the State Department,” Mulino said during his weekly news conference. “They are making important statements from the entity that controls U.S. foreign affairs based on a falsehood, and that’s intolerable.” President Donald Trump’s administration had portrayed Panama as a quick victory in its efforts to more strongly assert U.S. presence in the hemisphere. Just days ago, Secretary of State Marco Rubio visited Panama on his first official trip and pressed its government to reduce Chinese influence in the country. Mulino subsequently said he would not renew an agreement to participate in China’s signature foreign infrastructure program, the Belt and Road initiative.
New law in Brazil is making students put away their smartphones at school (AP) Brazilian students returned to class this week with a new task: staying away from their smartphones as a new law restricting their use in schools took effect. President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva signed a bill in January limiting smartphone access at schools, in line with a trend seen in the U.S. and Europe. It applies to public and private schools, and applies to classrooms and the halls. Phones are still allowed for educational purposes, with the teacher’s permission, and when needed for the student’s accessibility and health. Schools can set their own guidelines, such as whether students can keep phones in backpacks or store them in lockers or designated baskets. Before the federal law, most of Brazil’s 26 states had already applied some restrictions to phone use in schools. As of 2023, nearly two-thirds of Brazilian schools had some limitations, with 28% banning them entirely.
UK demands access to Apple users' encrypted data (BBC) The UK government has demanded to be able to access encrypted data stored by Apple users worldwide in its cloud service. Currently only the Apple account holder can access data stored in this way—the tech giant itself cannot view it. Privacy International called it an "unprecedented attack" on the private data of individuals. The demand applies to all content stored using what Apple calls "Advanced Data Protection" (ADP). This uses something called end-to-end encryption, where only the account holder can access the data stored. Apple has previously said it would pull encryption services like ADP from the UK market rather than comply with such government demands—telling Parliament it would "never build a back door" in its products. No Western government has yet been successful in attempts to force big tech firms like Apple to break their encryption. The US government has previously asked for this, but Apple has pointedly refused.
The swarm of earthquakes shaking Santorini prompts Greece to declare an emergency (AP) Greece’s government declared a state of emergency on Santorini on Thursday after hundreds of undersea earthquakes shook the resort island for nearly a week. The ministry of civil protection’s announcement will provide authorities faster access to state resources. It follows a magnitude 5.2 tremor—the most powerful recorded since activity started on Jan. 31—that struck late Wednesday. Despite causing minimal damage, the earthquake activity has prompted an exodus of thousands of residents and seasonal workers, mostly evacuating to the Greek mainland by ferry.
Iran supreme leader says US talks ‘not intelligent, wise or honorable,’ upending push to negotiation (AP) Iran’s supreme leader said Friday that negotiations with America “are not intelligent, wise or honorable” after President Donald Trump floated nuclear talks with Tehran. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also suggested that “there should be no negotiations with such a government,” but stopped short of issuing a direct order not to engage with Washington. Khamenei’s remarks upend months of signals from Tehran to the United States that it wanted to negotiate over its rapidly advancing nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of crushing economic sanctions worth billions of dollars. What happens next remains unclear, particularly as reformist President Masoud Pezeshkian campaigned on and promised as recently as Thursday entering into a dialogue with the West.
Trump’s Gaza Plan Reflects Broader Push for Annexation of Palestinian Land (NYT) President Trump’s statements on Tuesday about an American takeover of the Gaza Strip and displacing millions of Palestinians were immediately dismissed by many as reckless and half-baked pronouncements, a provocative threat that Mr. Trump was unlikely to enforce. At the same time, his comments are the latest example of how government officials on the right in both the United States and Israel now speak publicly about a shared goal: the takeover of Palestinian land. Mr. Trump’s election has newly emboldened right-wing ministers in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, and some of Mr. Trump’s own appointees, to speak publicly about Israel’s right to fully take over the West Bank. “It’s the most right-wing government that we’ve ever had in Israel—and there never was a U.S. administration that shared these views to this extent, either,” said Itamar Rabinovich, a former Israeli ambassador to Washington. Days after Mr. Trump’s election, Bezalel Smotrich, Israel’s finance minister, whom Mr. Netanyahu has given broad authority over the West Bank, said Mr. Trump’s return to the White House meant that “the year 2025 will, with God’s help, be the year of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria,” using the biblical name for the territory that makes up the West Bank.
Corporate book piracy (Ars Technica) New emails unsealed in a copyright case lodged by authors against Meta revealed that the company trained its AI models on oodles of pirated books. New evidence shows that Meta torrented 81.7 terabytes of data across many shadow libraries of books, lacking the decency to pay off the people whose intellectual property would be chucked into the AI training dataset. That’s on top of 80.6 terabytes of data they torrented from LibGen. Several of the emails contain sentiments from engineers such as “Torrenting from a corporate laptop doesn’t feel right.” Well, that’s up to the courts but, yeah, that ordinarily is not the kind of thing one does from corporate gear.

Quality of Education
I believe that well-prepared graduates are the best ambassadors for any university, and that their successes in their careers will speak volumes for the university’s high quality of education. Therefore, it is of great importance to develop students that are well prepared to become future leaders in technology and society. A distinguished school must have evolving graduate and undergraduate curricula that are malleable to emerging new innovations and equip their students with the necessary knowledge and experience in state-of-the-art technologies. Integrating core foundational areas with new technologies and innovations in coherent curricula will help prepare students to handle new problems and applications that will arise in the future. It is crucial to offer strong courses that provide students with the necessary tools to solve complicated and interdisciplinary problems and challenges. Continually improving the curricula will allow any school to further distinguish itself as a provider of quality education that produces able graduates who are ready to contribute and lead in the society of tomorrow.

NASA’s Webb Telescope Improves Simulation Software - Technology Org

NASA’s Webb Telescope Improves Simulation Software - Technology Org
The James Webb Space Telescope truly explores the unknown, displaying stunning images of previously unseen corners of the universe only possible because of the telescope’s 21-foot segmented mirror that unfurled and assembled itself in space.
The James Webb Space Telescope captures a tightly bound pair of actively forming stars, known as Herbig-Haro 46/47, in high-resolution near-infrared light. Image credit: NASA
Decades of testing went into the materials, design, and processes needed to develop the largest telescope in space. However, the whole project was too complex to test on the ground, at scale, at minus 400 degrees Fahrenheit, and in other space-like conditions.
Instead, engineers relied on software simulations to understand how the telescope would behave under different in-space conditions, and that work has helped advance the whole field of integrated computer modeling.
The Ansys Zemax OpticStudio software package, pictured here in a demo of James Webb Space Telescope mirror modeling, was equipped with new capabilities and features due to being used in the observatory’s development. Image credit: Ansys Inc.
“We pushed everything, all the simulation, just as hard as it would go,” said Erin Elliott, an optical engineer at Ansys, Inc., which makes Ansys Zemax OpticStudio, one of the design software suites used to develop hardware and software for the Webb telescope.
Simulation technology has improved dramatically over the last two decades because of increased computing power and new ways of accessing offsite computing power as a cloud service. But additional improvements trace back directly to Webb’s development.
.Elliott used OpticStudio to support the Webb telescope while working for NASA contractors, beginning in the early 2000s, before starting work in 2015 for Zemax, which was bought in 2021 by Ansys Inc, which is headquartered in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.
In the early days, Elliott said, Zemax tweaked its software for the Webb telescope effort. “They made some specific changes for us at the time having to do with handling the coordinate systems of the segments,” she said, referring to the 18 hexagonal segments that make up the telescope’s primary mirror.
Elliott also recalled talking to Zemax leadership numerous times about the need for the software to communicate better with other Microsoft Windows programs.
The company introduced an API, or application programming interface, for OpticStudio, which enables the suite to work with other programs and allows for further customization. There were plenty of reasons to add that technology but Webb demands were likely significant among them, Elliott said.

Joseph Howard, an optical engineer at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, where Webb and its science instrument module were assembled, noted that using several modeling packages helped drive innovation in the field.
“It’s important to have multiple software companies out there that can help you not only for cross-checking the modeling, but because they make each other better through competition,” he said.
In addition to improvements made to OpticStudio during Webb telescope development, the company in 2021 introduced the Structural, Thermal, Analysis, and Results (STAR) module, which benefited from the knowledge Elliott gained working on the NASA project.
The first six flight-ready James Webb Space Telescope primary mirror segments are prepped to begin final cryogenic testing at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. Image credit: NASA
When a mirror or lens changes shape due to temperature swings, the optics move. Much of the OpticStudio modeling was completed in smaller pieces — engineers would run a thermal simulation independently and add that data to the next optical model, generating more data for the next run.
The STAR module incorporates analyses from other simulation software directly into OpticStudio optical models — an efficiency applicable to telescope and aerospace designs. This feature is also increasingly important for autonomous vehicles, cell phone lenses, and other optics working in tough environments.
Future telescopes and other spacecraft are likely to involve elements of the Webb design. More will travel in segments that must self-assemble in space, and the development of the increasingly complicated robotics and optics will rely on improved modeling software.
“When we built Webb, we knew we couldn’t fully test it on the ground prior to flight, so we depended a whole lot upon modeling and doing analysis to get ready for flight,” Howard said. “The next great observatory will be even more dependent on modeling software.”
Meanwhile, designers of more earthly technologies are already seeing the benefits of an improved OpticStudio, using it to design precision endoscopes, a thermal imager to detect COVID-19 exposures in a crowd, augmented reality displays and headsets, a laser thruster technology for nanosatellites, and, of course, more telescopes.
Elliott also noted that the Webb telescope project trained the next cohort of telescope and optical device builders – those designing and using the telescope’s technological spinoffs.
“The people who built the Hubble Space Telescope were leading the Webb Telescope,” she said. “And now the younger engineers who cut our teeth on this project and learned from it are becoming the group of people who will build the next structures.”
Elliott maintains that the project “was worth it alone for training this huge cohort of young engineers and releasing them into high-tech fields.”
