He feels something.

Archie looks up in Hau's direction from his Sharpedo, who has looked that way as well. He can't deny the little tug in his gut he feels when he meets someone possessed of divine power, and he knows his closest bondmate has felt it as well. This particular divine aura, it feels Alolan as well--ah, yes, Tapu Koko, a Legendary with whom he himself is acquainted. Interesting. The electric bird warrior never told him they had a chosen one.

His Sharpedo can't come onto land, but he can swim alongside Archie as he speedwalks toward the distant figure he sensed. He's more than a little salty at the fact that he can't walk faster than he swims in his Kyogre form.

"Hey, kid!" he calls out, not waiting to get even closer in his impatience to learn more about this individual with the mysterious powers. Hau most definitely isn't a kid anymore, but Archie is pushing fifty--everyone younger than thirty is a kid to him.

As he gets closer, he sees the detail of Hau's face and recognizes him--Hala's grandson, of whom the old Kahuna must be proud. Figures. Greatness must run in the family.

"Hala's grandkid, eh? You really are a special one. You've got a certain Aura 'bout you. Couldn't help but notice."

He doesn't have his husband Maxie's discretion, and Maxie might have scolded him for it if he were here--but he's not, so Archie just gives Hau a broad grin like he's meeting an old friend. His Sharpedo doesn't have that subtlety either, lunging out of the water and letting out a cry in greeting. It's a friendly gesture, but if Hau's a landlubber, he realizes how terrifying it must look to have a six foot tall shark lunging out of the water at him.

"Down, Jaws!" Archie commands, and the shark floats still in the water. Then he smiles back at Hau.

"Sorry 'bout that. He can sense it too. Made him terribly excited."

I am so hype for the I Don't Want To Be A Magical Girl animatic pilot @kianamaiart is in the process of making right now. Something just clicked in my brain where I had to make an elaborate piece of fanart with these amazing character designs the second I saw them, so I took the opportunity to sit down and finally learn Clip Studio Paint properly. Logo was made by kianamaiart and julietran.jpg on instagram. I just cropped out the solid background color for this fan poster to give it some extra flair. Kiana, you're a phenomenal artist and person and I can't wait to see what you've got in store with this project. I hope you like this as much as I enjoyed making it. :)

anyone else thinking about effie spending 24 years watching haymitch completely fall apart. effie, who met haymitch by accident, who knows exactly what kind of person he is, who sees him every year on his birthday for 24 years and each year he’s drunker, each year he’s angrier, each year he’s faster to give up. and then they get katniss and peeta. peeta, who is kind and open and understanding, who refuses to give up on haymitch. and katniss, who is so much like haymitch at 16 that it hurts. and over the few days they’re together, effie watches haymitch come back to life. watches him try. watches him have hope. and then they get to keep not one but both of those kids. they get to come home. and then, less then a year later, effie pulls haymitch’s name at the reaping.
