2023 art summary, for comparison

For the masterpiece of the year, I never actually posted it (and don't intend to at the moment) but it was my best work of the year by a long shot. The amount of time and detail I put into really stands out for me personally.

The rest of them will be named, talked about and linked under the cut :)

January - Evil art style challenge - I honestly did not draw much at all that month so that is pretty much all I had for January! It is still a work I like, especially for having been on one layer.

February - personal project concept work - Another one I spent a lot of time and detail on and is one of my favourites personally!! I think it was after this though that I made the decision to stop posting these ones (the personal project work, anyway - that's art for me!)

March - Mailcat Ibex Mast fanart - DUDE I REMEMBER THIS ONE. I was struck with such a vivid vision I had to do this and it remains my best work of that month, even with all the iterator drawings I did. Like I love those pieces yes but they do Not match up to this one.

April - Far Shore and Moss Fields - This was another slow month for me in terms of art, and this isn't my favorite piece ever, but I learned some things from it still... so we good with it.

May - Phoenix Iterator drawing - Art that didn't get posted for a while but one of my favorites out of that bunch of drawings. It probably was a debate between the Chasing Wind art and the Phoenix piece but idk I started working on the art summary a while ago and I can't remember lol

June - Pearlcat Ibex fanart - surprise ! An Ibexcord exclusive piece! There was a moment in Ibex's video where he did a jump over a cyan lizard and idk I was taken over by a vision (how does this keep happening)

July - Eden mass attack - This took the most stress out of every piece on here surely. Mostly due to tech issues. But yeah I was fighting for my life trying to get this piece done and posted because of said tech issues. Like I don't think I said it at the time but I had only minutes to get this one off of a permanently dying laptop or else I would have lost the file. ENOUGH ABOUT TECH ISSUES THO what about the actual art. Okay I LOVED HOW THIS TURNED OUT ACTUALLY. The scale and the detail and getting to include so many characters aaaa it's just. probably the best of my mass attacks for the year anyway this has been a paragraph, ONTO THE NEXT ONE

August - Milk - HOW DID THIS BLOW UP SO MUCH ???? It is not only my best work out of August aside from the masterpiece of the year but also my best performing work ever ?? That's so insane to me. But anyway yeah this is another case of being possessed by visions or smtn I don't know, but I was kinda speedrunning it after getting sick lol

September - Loop strawpage art - Oh here it comes. This is the month where the many ISAT arts start loll. I mean I wasn't particularly happy with most of it in this month bc well. I was only starting out. but I COOKED with this one specifically. The concept and execution I lovee this one it's just. YEAH.

October - It's going to be okay - oh man I already said that there's a lot of ISAT arts and man I was doing so well this month, it was so hard to pick one specific piece for this one. Imagine they are all here in spirit PLEASEE there are so many good ones this month -> Around the clock, at the end of everything, Websiffrin, the road of trials, Sweater Forever

November - Hourglass - okay I had my high with the ISAT art, now it slows down a lot. This is probably the best piece for a while, or at least in my head it is. I know I did a lot of Moons and there is other art but this is where I started feeling less satisfied with my art again.

December - Where we started - Yeahhh the art block was strong this month. I had projects I wanted to do but just. could not. It took me a while to get back to a point where I could draw again and be okay with what I was making. I'm still not as satisfied as I'd like to be, but I'm at a point where I can do things, and this piece was one of the better ones.

ANYWAY!! I'd say it's been a good year, art-wise. FIXATION GAINED. and that has resulted in a LOTTT of art lol. Also I worked on my projects a bit (would like to make more progress on them next year though !!)

xingyue child after all the trauma (tm)

Xingyue child buying/sharing lunch with yanqing bc the stupid kid used all his money for swords again and didn't buy food. Despite knowing probably that if they keep feeding him he'll keep wasting all his money on swords rather than starving once or twice and then learning his lesson.

(They probably get any money spent back from jing yuan but don't tell yanqing)

Xingyue child adjusting yanqings age like a slider depending on who asks and what will get them the most benefit out of it. Wanna go to some sort of amusement park? He's 9 so he only pays half. Wanna watch a martial arts movie? He's 14 actually so old enough. Wanna get out of trouble quickly? "Sir, i'm just the attendant of jing yuans young son. You'll have to take any complaints to his father."

(They might get in trouble with jing yuan for this, but they're rather scolded by their "uncle" than a stranger)

Xingyue childs first priority being bailu, second priority yanqing. If something, anything, goes wrong, they'll pick up bailu, (and yanqing, if necessary) then make a run for either the artisanship commission or divination commission.

(Then they'll wait any danger out on a rooftop or in the forge until jing yuan or yanqing come pick them up)

Xingyue child playing with bailu. Neither of them really needs to pretend that they're younger than they actually are, but they will. Both are over 18 technically. Neither is fully grown. Both will absolutely throw a temper tantrum if only to throw off suspicion. Then they'll shit-talk about the preceptors.

(Included but not limited to: playing in yanqings room when he isn't there, playing in jing yuans room when yanqing IS there, playing in the study when jing yuan isn't there.)

Xingyue child trying to fight (and defeat) dan heng, ultimately getting defeated without dan heng making a single attack. Man's just dodging while xingyue child exhausts themself and ultimately falls on their face. Decides that dan heng is mean and will never fight him again (until the next opportunity arises) pouting all day afterwards.

(Jing yuan says he could at least block them. Dan heng claims that would be unfair, considering he's much stronger than them. Jing yuan sighs, dan heng is as stubborn as dan feng)

Xingyue child insisting on calling blade "yingxing" or "dad". That's a problem(tm), kafka never had to fix blade that often, not even during/after the story quest on the luofu.

(Because no one wants to leave the child alone with blade, even though he hasn't done anything to the child and it's unlikely that he will)

Xingyue child most likely picking up smithing (and tinkering) like yingxing and so they try to. Create. But they want blade to show them how, look at what they made, how is it etc. Nobody wants that, least of all blade, but the moment dan heng says he doesn't want it, blade will willingly go, if only to upset dan heng.

(Dan heng will be forced to go as well, to make sure "our child is okay. I mean, your child. I mean, my- no- their child. The child of dan feng and yingxing." Cue beet-red dan heng)

Bonus: xingyue child happily working in the forge, concentrating so hard on whatever they're making. Meanwhile, blade making out with dan heng, occasionally stopping mid-kiss to tell xingyue "you're doing great, keep it up." "Careful with that part, it can be difficult. You'll know what i mean" "just a bit more... [xingyue], heat the metal up a bit more.". Also, pushing his fingers into dan hengs mouth, to make sure he doesn't close it.

(If xingyue child noticed any of that (most likely not) they didn't let it show)

Also, cue blade abruptly stopping when he hears xingyue child call out "done!" Then runs over excitedly. Blade pretends nothing happened. Dan heng pretends the forge is too hot.

Day 4: يقبرني Ya'aburnee (Arabic)

A way to declare your hope that your loved one will outlive you, as it would be unbearable to Live without them.

(Continuation from Day 1: Saudade Entry)

That night after sending the paper plane Neji dreamed about her. There was few different scenes that flashed behind his eyes but there was one he remembered vividly. Probably because it was something that really happened. 

It was the day of the infamous Konohagakure Middle School Brawl. Tenten was known around town for being a hardass. Well, not really a hard ass but she liked to fight. After being bullied for years for being an outsider. She got fed up and slapped the shit out of one of her bullies.  From about 4th grade and on, this made her target. She ended up fighting all the time.

Her parents enrolled her into martial arts classes to help mitigate some of her anger. That’s where she and Neji meet. The winter between junior and senior year of elementary school. They became fast friends eventually attending middle school together. 

Fast forward to the third year in middle school. She had calmed down a bit and it helped that Neji and Lee were there to reign her in and keep her out of trouble-most of the time. Which was a tall task because a lot of people just didn't like her. 

On this day in particular. It just so happened to be a school festival day.  It was packed and raining on and off the entire time. Neji was in the student council office retrieving some supplies.  The door bursts open. 

“Neji Ni-san, it's Tenten. Lee needs to come right now. There out back by the tennis courts “ 

Neji dropped what he was doing. He brushed passed hinata and started running down the hall to head outside as fast as his feet would carry him. When finally did make it out back. The crowd was so thick that he knew he was gonna have a hard time getting thru. But moved as swiftly as he could. 

That's when he saw them. Lee held on to both her hands trying to keep her attention. Naruto stood right next to body blocking her.  Neji ran over to them out of breath. 

“Tenten, are you okay? What's going on” he checked to see if she was injured. 

“I'm fine. I just need to go talk to someone for a second. Lee won't let me go”

Neji was confused. 

“I'm pretty sure she didn't mention it but we've been having some issues with some of Technical Middle School kids. We found them beating up and robbing some freshmen. Turned out they were low level Anbu gang members.  They’ve been taunting us all day”  said Naruto 

“Okay then, let me take you home”  she looked at Lee  “Lee, can you let Iruka Sensei know that i’m taking Tenten home. If he asks, she's not feeling well. 

“Here, take my bike. It’ll be faster” Naruto tossed, his keys into Neji. “It's blue and orange with a frog lock. “Yelled the blonde as he and Lee rushed off to go find Iruka Sensei.

“Come on Tenten” Neji grab her hand and begin pulling her through the crowd. “Were you planning on telling me any of this”

“No, I didn't want you worrying about me” 

“I'm always worry about you. Especially when I’m not around. You do reckless things” 

Tenten scuffed 

“I’m sorry to disappoint you then if that's the case. But what was I supposed to do? Let the those kids get stomped out”

She had a point

“You did the right thing. But what's been happening today?” 

“They been trying to lure me into fighting all day. I'm not sure, how many members are here. But their leader Temari is definitely here. Her second in command I think, his name is Kankuro. He rolled up on me earlier. But Lee scared him off. 

“So what’s your plan?  Did you plan to fight them all by yourself”

“Yeah, if that's how it's gotta be then that's how it's gotta be”

Neji remembers how much that reveal hurt him.

“This is a suicide mission. Are you trying to die?” 

Tenten halted, standing her ground. But I didn't answer him.  And when she didn't answer he continued.

“I don't want you to die”

Tenten flinched, and fear flashed through her eyes and Neji let go. She took a deep breath and stood really tall. 

“Of course not. I just don't want to be scared anymore” 

He hadn't expecting those words out of her mouth. Tenten always seemed so fearless. She was the swing and ask questions later type. That's why Neji had vowed to always protect her.  He really didn't know who he was without her. 

“How does putting your life in danger fix that? I am seriously trying to understand” 

She pondered his words while looking around. 

“I'm not sure it does. If I give them what they want. They'll go away.  I can take solace in knowing that I'm not a coward” 

Tenten was one of the bravest and kindness people he knew. She was a lot of things but a coward, never.

“I understand but I'm still taking you home. We’ll come up with a better solution. "Neji reaches out, to grab her hand again so they continue moving.

But a loud scream echoed behind them. They both swiftly turned around. Somebody had punched Naruto in the back of his head. Two other people started running at him.

Neji went to grab her but missed. Tenten ran across the school yard and kicked one of the attackers right in their back. 

Neji found himself running right behind her and grabbing the second attacker by his shirt and judo flipping him. 

Tenten helped Naruto up and a group of guys and girls with bats, chains and started running at them.  All hell broke was about the brakes loose. The rain started picking up, making visibility almost impossible. 

Neji was sure that were going to die that day.  Neji made peace with it because at the very least they were together. He wants it any other way. Through some what Neji couldn't only assume was divine intervention, they all survived. 

 Lee’s broke one of his legs. Naruto broke his hand and a few broken ribs. Tenten tore her.  A Achilles tendon and few broken ribs. Loving her had brought really hard lessons and Neji the scars to prove it.  But he wouldn't have had it any other way.

I've been brainrotting a rarepair/crackship the past couple of days. I fear it's terminal.. I can not get Scott Smajor/Technoblade out of my HEAD!! Despite this, I still can not think of a ship name for them. The funniest one I can think of is Majorblade. Thus, that's the one I'm going with.

First and foremost, thank u for looking at my autism fueled insanity! This is yours now.

Scott and Techno have a pretty strong dymanic going for them. When you first see them together, you'd, probably, think the far larger piglin brute would be the most bloodthirsty of the two. While correct (blood for the blood god and all that), it's Scott, who's the most vicious during battle. It does not matter if the battle in question is one fought by words or swords - Scott will try to come out on top. Unless, of course, it's one of his friends, then Techno would likely have to step in so Scott doesn't do his classic move of suicide.

When the two of them train together, it is insanely gay. Sure, it's artful, and it's like a classical oil painting from one of the great masters unfolding in real time. But I can not stress enough how homoerotic it is. There is strong queer tension between the two of them. This is an undeniable fact, and i refuse to accept criticism otherwise.

I think a pretty well accepted headcanon is that Scott Is Magical. In my daydreams of gay block men, I expand upon this. To me, It is a love language of Scott to use his abilities on you / for you. Magic takes a lot! It takes a lot of time, will, commitment, energy, and all that good shit. Most importantly, it takes a lot out of the caster - large bouts of magic inturn makes the user temporarily weaker. To willingly put yourself at a disadvantage in a universe where Things Try To Kill You, Often is a level of trust and love that is hard to properly put into words.

Despite this, Scott takes the time to painstakingly add enchantments to Technos items. There is, of course, enchanting tables and books, and then there is a master of their craft. It is like comparing a microwave meal of Mac and Cheese to a homemade five cheese Mac and cheese that's baked in the oven with bread crumbs on top. They're both Mac and cheese but ones definitely fuckin better.

I feel like Scott would intentionally add extra protection to Techno's fighting gear - add enchantments that enhance Techno's strengths while also trying to cover his weaknesses. For example, if Techno often leaves his sides unprotected during a rampage, Scott adds extra protection in those spots, so Techno is overall better protected.

For context, I'm a Bedrock Minecraft player. My piglin knowledge comes from primarily Bedrock. Okay? Okay.

Everyone knows that Piglins adore gold. They snort, chuff, wag their ears, and rush after gold once it's dropped. I like to imagine that it's very much a love language for piglins and piglin hybrids to exchange or generally gift gold to those they love and care for. Basically - Scott has an overwhelming amount of gold jewelry and items from Techno. He cherishes them all, recognizing it for what it is.

I have a personal headcanon that giving a piglin or a piglin hybrid a block of pure, overworld, gold is the same as a marriage proposal. I think it's really funny to imagine Techno giving Scott one of these blocks and Scott to be like. "Ah yes, this is a big gold thing. Thank you!" And Techno being like "??? :( babe...." The same could apply to Scott's habit of giving lovers Poppies. Scott giving Techno, not just one, but an entire stack of poppies only for Techno to say thanks. It leads to another moment of "??? :( babe...."

Hey, Ukrainian follower here. Big fan of your goyuu works, they are delightful 😊. A bit weird to introduce myself like that especially with such sensitive topic I'd like to bring on here, but I couldn't help myself when I stumbled upon this weird interaction between you and the anonymous person, who wrote that hell of a text about being against Russians on ao3 and you being anti-censorship regardless of what is discussed (at least that what I've got from it, correct me If, I'm wrong), then scrolled to the post about Ficbook just to understand the context. While both of you went really harsh on each other, I think it does bring an interesting perspective on that matter in general. See, I'm a little bit torn between "ban privileged russians from everywhere" and "no content should be banned, if we want to live in a democratic world". I try to be open-minded towards civilians in Russia, even if sometimes it's a very hard thing to do, because I can speak Russian and I see pro-war channels on Telegram cheering on bombing children cancer hospital with thousands of comments supporting that, even among younger generations (and no, those are NOT bots unfortunately and it's honestly heartbreaking). I kinda see what that person tried to convey in your anon requests - that basically every Russian content creator is essentially a thief (?) or pro-war supporter, thus should not be allowed to have a platform, which is a big stretch in my opinion. On the other hand, I fail to understand and completely agree with your anti-censorship point, too, because Russia is a country that build itself historically on a imperialistic basis, culturally appropriate and conquer indigenous peoples culture and traditions of Central Asia and Far-East. So, essentially, it's not really Russians, who are silenced, nor their culture, but people who are still fighting for their independence: Crimean Tatars, Chechens, Belarussians, Ukrainians included. We should not support a state, that basically has the permission from the whole world to do such awful things and I personally think it's okay to separate yourself from it by any means necessary. Another problem with censorship is that by now even the most liberal anti-war Russians are no longer active, oppression got to the point where the entire topic about Russian invasion in multiple countries is no longer discussed and now it's just silence. My Russian moots are no longer in contact with me or acting like nothing is happening anymore. They chose to keep on living their ordinary life, while soldiers of their country bombing my hometown every day, but I am not allowed to mute/block/censor it, because any form of censorship is bad? It's really hard to judge from far away, and I get it, but the nuisances in such matters are really important. It's a shame, really, that we live in such times, where authoritarian states are now more common and have more support each day, but it's important to not lose our heads and empathy towards struggles of the real people. I have no ill-feelings towards Russian civilians, who just want to share their art and fanfiction on whatever existing platform, but for me it got to the point of no return I'm afraid, and I don't feel anything towards those people at all. Russian language with each passing day associates with more violence and misery and it's really frustrating or more like a reality check, when not all people think that way. Honestly, I experienced a catharsis while writing this, so If you're still reading it, I just want to thank you for your time and patience to read another monstrosity of a text from your random reader. Regardless of your stance, I respect your work and admiration for art and creativity. I hope your inner kindness towards people will last much longer, than mine, unfortunately, did. Honestly, I have no idea where that other anon came from or how they found me. They're 100% certainly not one of my followers, and the post they were talking about is a reblog essentially informing people that Ficbook has been banned in Russia and that Wattpad has been banned in Turkey. The other anon apparently took issue with the final reblog encouraging Russians to migrate to Ao3. They also helpfully came back and showed that it's not that they care about queer people or the sanctity of Ao3 or whatever.

My personal feelings toward Russia as a state is the same as yours, though I'm geographically and culturally too removed from the situation to be affected the way you are. And I am genuinely sorry about the horrific things you're going through, for what it's worth.

You're allowed to mute or block or entirely avoid anything you don't want to see; that's not censorship in any sense. A person enforcing their personal boundaries and ensuring their comfort does not amount to censorship in any way. Similarly, if you were to create a fanfiction archive and disallow Russians or Russian-language works, that would also be well within your rights.

State censorship is a different beast, regardless of who's the target. I live in a country where that's rampant, and while it's not to the extent of, say, China, it's still pretty bad and getting worse, so I have been seeing my entire life what happens when the government is allowed to censor things for the apparent moral good. It's not the privileged majority that gets fucked over, it's the marginalized, always: women, queer people, racial minorities, etc.

I will always be staunchly against state censorship regardless of the country and the target. That's all.

A few months ago, if someone had told you that you'd be watching your lover on trial for murder, you probably would have backed out. Closed yourself off from the world, made sure you didn't look at anyone for too long. No flirty glances, no casual waves.

The case had hit the newspapers hard. The premise was irresistible, a love triangle between a married couple and a younger woman. It spiralled out of control, the husband flew off the handle, killed the other woman's father. Maybe he'd been abusive, maybe he was just getting in the way. The facts were all but irrelevant.

You watched it play out, character by character, in the paper, since you couldn't risk going to the courtroom. Of course, you couldn't travel anywhere either, you could be called upon to testify at any time.

Music played over the radio you kept in the living room, some recent-ish Pink song.

When someone said count your blessings now, 'fore they're long gone...

You tapped your foot, sighing as you flicked through the pages. Maybe there was some solace in the fact that Aaron looked so goddamn good in these paparazzi shots of him walking to and from the courthouse. In most of them, he was trying to block his face with a folder, but there were a few of him scowling at the camera, mouth set in a hard line, his gaze piercing.

He still existed, you thought. Even if it had been a while since you'd seen each other, he must still exist. It wasn't all just a dream.

Derek Morgan had taken the stand, one of his co-workers. So had Spencer Reid, a sweet-looking boy who had been plainly nervous to talk in front of so many people. They'd shown the jury crime scene photos.

It shouldn't be taking this long. You had a plan. Why wasn't it working?

Three weeks earlier

Haley stopped by your house again on her way back from the police station. She looked frantic as she stood at your front door.

"You have to discredit me. You have to tell the police that I'm just his crazy ex-wife and I'll make up anything to get the house in the divorce. I don't know, just, just... Just tell them anything, I'm so sorry," She turned quickly on her heel.

"Haley," You called. "That won't work. I'm not meant to know anything about you, or it would prove that I knew you and Aaron better than I said I did."

She walked slowly back to your door.

"I can't let him go to jail," She said, eyes filling with tears. "I meant to trip him up, not throw him under the bus."

"I know," You said sympathetically, reaching for her arm. "C'mon, come inside. We can talk."

She exhaled shakily, nodding.

You gestured for her to take a seat on the couch while you brewed some tea.

"I can't do it, and you can't go back on your statement, so you'll just have to tell Aaron to fight hard, to say all of those things about you."

She nodded. "I shouldn't stay. I don't know if they're having us followed, or wire-tapped, or..."

You nodded. "That's okay. Can you stay for another minute? I just want to say something."

"Sure," She replied.

You sat beside her on the couch. "I really appreciate you coming and talking to me. Not just now, but earlier, too. We have to look out for each other, and I know how my relationship with him looks."

"I was just so worried. I was thinking that if there was any chance I was right, I was so worried about whoever the daughter was. I was panicking thinking that he might be pressuring some... teenager..."

You shook your head quickly. "You know it's not like that, right? I'm younger than him, but not by that much. I'm an adult. I still live, well... lived, with my dad, but that was my choice."

She nodded. "I'm so sorry I've made this so difficult. I wish you could testify against me. I deserve it."

"No, Haley," You reassured her. "If that had been the situation, it would have been the right thing to go to the police and share your suspicions. Maybe not implicating Aaron so much, but nobody's perfect."

She reached for your hand, holding it gently in her own.

"He's difficult, you know? I love him, but he's a difficult man to love. I want to make sure you know what you're getting into."

You nodded for her to continue.

"He's away on cases a lot. He's terrible at guessing how you're really feeling, considering he's a profiler. I guess it's because he's not even around enough to get to know your tells. Maybe it'll be different for you, but he doesn't want kids, doesn't want to retire early. He's terrible at talking about his feelings. A lot of the time it seems like you're in love with a ghost."

You squeezed her hand. "I'll be okay. I don't know if it's serious. Well, I mean, I guess it's complicated, but I don't know if he really wants to be with me. I get the feeling we'll probably see each other once or twice after the trial, but after that..."

She shook her head. "I don't think so. But we'll see."

A small smile grew on her face. "But if he was going to fall in love with anyone, I'm glad it's you. You remind me of him."

Your nose crinkled. "That could be a good thing or a very bad thing."

She cupped your cheek softly, running her thumb over your cheekbone. "It's a good thing, trust me. You've got the same strength he does. You'll need it."

"Aaron," Haley called, chasing after the long-legged man. "Can we talk?"

Onlookers watched as this domestic spectacle unfolded.

"No," He replied sternly. "I have nothing to say to you."

"Please? Just five minutes, and I'll never talk to you again."

"No," He repeated, not slowing his pace.

"Aaron Tobias Edward Hotchner, I am still your wife, and so help me God, you will stop for a moment and listen to me."

That stopped him in his tracks, although a hot flush blossomed up his neck. It was an angry red, a seething hue.

"Counsellor, could we use your office for a moment?" Hotch spat through gritted teeth. "It seems my ex-wife has something urgent to tell me."

The other man nodded, quickly unlocking the room. "Would you like a witness in the room?"

Haley shook her head quickly. "Please, Aaron. Just us. One last time."

Aaron sighed and shook his head at the attorney. "No, we'll be fine. Please, make it quick, Haley, this is our lunch break."

The door closed behind them, and Aaron immediately walked over to the window on the other side of the room, staring out at the street below. Haley stayed near the door, leaving some distance between them.

"I made a stupid mistake," She said softly. "And I'm sorry. But we need to end this, neither of us can afford it. And it looks bad for both of us, yelling at each other, airing the dirty laundry of our marriage."

"You might recall it was not my idea," Hotch said, his voice measured. That was the true sign of his anger.

"I know. And I don't need you to forgive me. But I need you to discredit me. Don't call me names, don't tell them about the condoms, just spin a story about my motive. I'm the only witness. If my argument falls apart, there's no case."

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Because she told me to. I wanted her to do it, to throw me under the bus, but she's smart, and she realized that would make it worse. So you need to do it."

He visibly softened, crossing his arms over his chest as he rested his back against the wall.

"So what's your motive?"

"I want the house, I want you to lose your job, I'm a vindictive, attention-seeking whore. Whatever sells it. Whatever ends this."

"So I should tell the truth?" Aaron spat. "How inventive. Fuck you."

Haley recoiled. "You're being cruel. That's not going to help you. For once in your life, I'm asking you to be less emotional. Then we can finish this. Be logical. Be the agent. Hold it over me."

She turned away before he could see the tears in her eyes. "I'm just asking you to hate me in a different cadence. I know you can do it."

She opened the door and stepped out, walking over to the bathroom to freshen up.

This wasn't their first argument, but it might be their last. She slipped off her wedding ring and her engagement ring, dropping them into her purse.

"Damn it, Aaron," She whispered, pressing her palms into the cool countertop, avoiding her reflection in the mirror.

After the lunch break, Aaron returned to the courtroom with renewed energy. At first, it seemed like it might just be that he'd eaten a hearty sandwich, but it soon became clear that he'd gained a second wind.

He noticed that the press gallery had emptied out almost completely, with only a handful of reporters from local papers remaining.

He was almost sad that there'd be a reduced audience to watch him tear Haley to shreds.

"Your Honour, the defendant would like to make a brief statement."

"Go ahead, Agent Hotchner."

Aaron stood quickly and made his way to the floor, nodding to the judge before facing the jury.

"I would like to remind everyone of the central question of this case. This is not a trial about whether I was a good husband, or whether my marriage was typical or healthy. It is a trial about whether I entered the residence intending to kill the suspect, and therefore, whether this was a murder, or a tragic but inevitable consequence of my line of work," He paused to take a breath, pleased to see that the jury was more attentive than they had been an hour ago.

"By now, you know my argument, and the argument of the prosecution. I would like to point out that Mrs. Hotchner is the only person who has raised questions about my relationship with the suspect's daughter. You've seen evidence that I met her once, and that meeting was purely professional. Mrs. Hotchner and I are in the midst of a divorce, and it's advantageous for her to suggest that I had some sort of murderous intent when I killed the victim. She would be able to gain a substantial amount of my assets, including the house we owned. I believe this is why she is yet to sign the divorce papers, as she would no longer be the automatic inheritor of my assets if I was to be convicted."

He surveyed the jury again. This was going over their heads.

"Additionally, I would like to remind you that the victim is the primary suspect in a serial homicide investigation. This didn't give me the right to shoot him, but he was a suspect before anything else. I knew him, many years ago, but it had been years since we'd spoken."

"In short," He said, taking a deep breath. "Mrs. Hotchner would be the sole financial beneficiary if I was convicted before she signs the divorce papers. She would get the house and my savings. I would call the jury's attention to this fact, in the hopes that we might all resolve this sooner rather than later."

The judge nodded. "Acceptable. The jury is advised to consider this statement."

One of Aaron's lawyers nodded, and started to speak. "And I would add that Mr. Hotchner works as an FBI agent, and plays a key role in preventing violent crimes. The sooner he's able to get back to work, the better."

The judge looked over at one of Aaron's less talkative lawyers.

"Are you the divorce attorney representing Mr. Hotchner?"

"Yes, Your Honour."

"Is it true that the divorce proceedings have stalled due to Mrs. Hotchner's hesitancy to sign the documents?"

"Yes, Your Honour."

The judge turned to the other side of the courtroom.

"Is this a fair statement? Is Mrs. Hotchner's divorce attorney present?"

"Yes, Your Honour, it is a fair statement. I'm not the divorce attorney, but Mrs. Hotchner has been waiting for the trial to be resolved before the divorce is finalized," Haley's lawyer said.

Haley nodded.

Aaron breathed a sigh of relief.

"Finally," You breathed. "Fuck, Aaron, it's been so long..."

"You have to be quiet," He said softly. "The walls are thin."

He propped you up on the stately wooden desk in the court library, spreading your legs so he could kiss your inner thighs and pull your underwear aside, tracing his tongue over your slit.

"Don't tease me," You cried. "I need you."

"Needy girl," He cooed sympathetically. "Been too long, hmm?"

"Shut up," You whined. "Please just fuck me with your tongue."

He didn't hesitate, slipping two fingers into you, curling his fingers while he sucked at your clit, pressing his nose into your pubic bone.

You clamped one of your hands over your mouth, eyes rolling back in your head. Legal papers were stuck to the back of your thighs. You didn't care.

He pressed his fingers into you, seeking out the sensitive spot that would make your legs shake. With his other hand, he rubbed circles over your clit. While he did, he ran his tongue over any of the skin he could reach, licking at your wetness.

"I'm going to-" You pressed your hand back over your mouth quickly, just in time to stop a moan from slipping out.

Your legs clenched around his head, and he didn't resist it. While you rode your high, he closed his eyes, enjoying the feeling of you around him.

Once you settled down, he crawled up your body, kissing your cheek, nipping your earlobe.

"The sex is good, hmm? It's better when you know that I fucking killed someone for you?"

Your eyes snapped open, and you gasped for air. You looked around your bedroom frantically, finding it empty. Frazzled, you dropped your head back into your pillow, closing your eyes.

"Aaron," You said softly, your voice melting into a whine as your eyes filled with tears. "I need you."

You whispered the words into the cold white wall.

"Don't leave me," You whispered. "I'm never going to love someone like I loved you."

If you squeezed your eyes shut, you could almost slip back into the dream. You could almost pretend to hear a car coming to a stop outside your house. Almost.

hie I've just been sitting here thinking about harutaka fighting I know the whole "I knew i was gonna die and didn't tell you" is prime material for them to fight But I like to think about like Long term how they deal with little inevitable conflicts Bc those are gonna happen when you wanna spend your life by someone's side I feel like Haruka's reaction is most often just To immediately apologize He wants to fix things He doesn't want anyone to be upset So he slaps a bandaid over it! Takane however Needs to experience her feelings even if they suck She needs to get mad She needs to get sad (and try to cover up that sadness with angry outburts) I think there's times Haruka apologizes to try and soothe a conflict and she gets upset because it's really not his fault and she wishes he'd get mad instead! I think eventually they kinda learn Takane needs her moment to run through her feelings and just because she's crying screaming punching a pillow doesn't mean it's personal And Haruka needs to learn that sometimes it's okay if things feel bad for a bit, it's better to talk things through than to bury them under panicked pacification. A tense afternoon isn't going to undo their pile of happy memories. Honestly I wanna see Haruka try to get mad about something. Restaurant got his order wrong or something. And Takane's just there like yeah!! Tell them!!! And he immediately deflates when he has their attention (also if this characterization is a little off I apologize!! I hadn't touched kagepro in a while and have just recently gotten sucked back into the hyperfixation but haven't freshly gone through all the material yet. I'm slowly making my way through it again I just really enjoy your blog asjshffj)

YEAH EXACTLY U GET IT SO WELL especially with takane wishing haruka would get mad. they run through emotions differently, takane gets mad/explodes because she cares about something so much, so haruka not matching her energy when she gets like that makes her feel like he doesn't care.

i think that could be a good way for them to learn how things work, like if takane told him its like you dont even care and haruka had the chance to say OF COURSE he cares. how could he not???!!!

"This is, by far, the weirdest thing that has ever happened to us."

There's a small murmur amongst the people crowded by the TV, all watching the poll live. Grian truly isn't sure whether its agreement or dissent. They've had some experiences.

This definitely does rank up there as one of the weird ones, though. 100 percent.

"I'm honestly still mad I lost," Jimmy mutters. Grian snorts. As if. You went up against Scott, Timmy. Not a chance. "What! It's true. Don't laugh at me, Grian."

"We put up a good fight," Tango assures him- everyone? Everyone seems to accept it. "Those eight just put up a better one. Or campaigned harder? Could be both."

And I fear for our souls if Cleo wins."

Pearl snickers. From in the back, someone else pipes up.

"I think you all are underestimating someone," Wilbur says with a smile. "It's a shame I didn't have to go up against Quackity this round, but alas. It means poor Mr. Hills has to deal with him alone. My yin is a formidable opponent." He covers a small smile with a gloved hand. "I know that from experience. Very intimate experience."

"Oooh, yeah. And your side of the people will probably be supporting him, too..." Pearl grins. "Nah. No chance. I believe in our viewers. We're gonna have a Hermitsweep on our hands soon enough!"

Wilbur flips her off. She bursts into guffawing laughter.

"Well, okay! I see your point." She slumps over Grian, enjoying how the smaller man yelps at her weight. "What about you, G? You rooting for Scar? I mean, the people love him and his abs. His scitties. And a sidekick has to support his hero, am I right?"

"I still haven't gotten the sidekick clothes off him, Pearl. Not a sidekick yet." He shakes his head. "And anyway, there's only one person I'd support."

He snaps his fingers, and the TV explodes into static, faint flickers of purple glimmering in the grey. The room erupts into protests as the broadcast is cut off.

"Five diamonds per person if you want me to turn it back on, people!" Grian says gleefully. "All proceeds go to the most worthwhile campaign of all!"

A grin splits his face. "Mumbo for Mayor."

And sorry I didn't think about fighting back. It's very important in a country that arrests protestors for trans women to go out and protest and then get put in men's prisons where they are intentionally used as sex slaves to help keep male prisoners more well behaved.

How do you think people fought before? Do you think black people or queer people stood still while things were happening? Yes, it sucks that authoritarian governments try to stop the opposition by any means they deem necessary, but I assure you, a lot of big political issues were affected by normal people, like you and me, fighting even though they knew (and know) that fighting back was/is dangerous. Attacking anyone that tries to be positive does jack shit, wallowing in self-pity does jack shit as well.

It isn’t worth your right to live. And it really sucks to elect a right-wing asshole. But that’s why people have been telling you time and time again to log off, take care of yourself and find community. If you don’t look for help you won’t get better.

As I said before, my country was affected by US imperialism (think about a US backed dictatorship), and people fought back. A few right-wing assholes were elected as well, people fought back. People are fighting back even now, with a more progressive government— because protesting for a better life if not a one time thing. It sucks that fighting back endangers protesters, but it is the right thing to do, fighting back against fascism is always the right thing to do. If you personally can’t protest, find ways to help people and help yourself.

Find a community that will help you be safe, seek help for suicidal ideation, if you need seek help for alcoholism, but just know that whatever it is that you’re doing right now won’t help (as I said, been there done that).

We have areas in the United States and we have areas elsewhere and he said something makes sense we can make a whole bunch of vehicles there and we can make them elsewhere and pump them through there if we had to we don't really want to but if we had to go ahead and start taking them over they're going to put in for approval there are several Arizona Texas and the max are not interested and there people need vehicles too. There are other plants and they're just sitting idle and yeah if they freeze they're going to get ruined and they plan on freezing it as this guy Tommy f and these guys are fighting a lot. I'm going to become progressive and son has kind of a project he's getting help with and then have a couple and one of them is Bradley GT and Brad should be embarrassed to make of it and he sits there and says I'm an idiot and they've got an addiction and they're getting broken of it so he's got this Bradley GT idea and it's working there's a lot of people who are making the shell, it's just different from the other and they're making the kit for Volkswagens and there's a ton of them okay some people are trying to make Ferrari and stuff like that but they don't really care for it this is going along pretty quickly, there are probably 5, 000 Bradley GTS out in the area a day and driving around doing stuff going places and they say it like this it's what else people do we get things done. And they're just driving around but people are starting to make them and they're racing them. They're a couple times that came close to Fontana they're a couple race tracks that opened up to them couple times out in California for actual races the results are secret no Mac Daddy won he's actually the race and Ben Arnold was embarrassed and I couldn't believe it he couldn't believe it I could we have other news and stuff but it's kind of working on his project and then go ahead and start making the shell. There's a whole bunch of stuff going on the neck is going to be a problem day after tomorrow putting that on my list of things to do. There's probably 20 manufacturers of the kit and that's for GT1 and 2 and the first one looks different and the second one looks different most kind of adhered to the original design there's a couple that looks stupid and it sees two idiots and it doesn't perform well and really nobody buys theirs. Third cheesman has one it's almost the same down to a millimeter the only difference is their tail end but the vortex is still there and it's the same. Volkswagen went with a front wheel drive no still rear engine and people say no it's not and it's not and it is front-wheel drive and still hauls ass. Out of the 20 there's one that's selling about 3,000 an hour and it's picking up speed. It's a carbon panel and a frame comes with it it's not much of a frame but it is structural. The whole kit excluding the chassis drivetrain tires wheels rims engine goes for a 5200 and that's a decent price out here it takes tons of effort for these guys to get out of bed and they mold the panels and it's pretty quick out of the carbon the interior panels are simple like they should be the dash is not complicated but looks real cool and it's not a bad vehicle if it were real okay they haven't started it yet but they all have their ideas and their designs everybody's waiting for it to come out and then they have that thumb up their ass and it feels good it's a pain and more shortly

Shinobu

You and Shinobu had been dating for a while and she still had yet to see what you really looked like. Not that it mattered to her what you looked like but she was curious. Why were you hiding your face? Do you think you're ugly? Do you have scars on your face? She never mentioned it to you and she knew that when you were ready you would take it off. One day when you and Shinobu were training together and she cut your mask in half by accident. Your mask fell to the ground as you stood there dumbfounded. She immediately dropped her sword and ran up to you to make sure you were okay. She cupped your face and looked into your eyes. She smiled at you "You are absolutely gorgeous darling!" She said before she went to go pick her blade up

Kyojuro

He was curious about what you looked like. He didn't ask you about it because he was scared he was going to hurt your feelings so he just waited for you to take it off. Now Kyojuro doesn't like training with you. He's scared he's going to hurt you but sometimes if the master requests it there's no escaping it. One day the master requested you try out a new technique you had developed on Kyjuro. When Kyojuro went to block your attack he accidentally swung his sword too hard and cut your mask off. For a second he thought he had cut your face. So he ran over to you and made sure you were okay. His attack stunned you a bit so you had fallen to the ground. You looked up at him. You had a scar that went from your forehead all the way down to your cheek that wasn't from the hit you just endured it looked more like a scar from a demon. Kyojuro kissed your cheek. "I'm glad you're alright dear. I think we've done enough training let's go home."

Akaza

Akaza didn't really care what you looked like. He loves you for you not what you look like. Despite Akaza loving to fight people, he would prefer not to train against you. He knows you are strong but he knows that he's most likely stronger than you and he doesn't want to hurt you. But sometimes if you want to try out your blood demon art or if Muzan gives you blood and you've gotten stronger he'll train against you. He'll just go easy on you. One time in particular he had sliced your mask in half during a fight. He didn't acknowledge it much he just said. "Are you okay?" When you nodded he smiled at you and said. "Your gorgeous" then he went to take a fighting stance.

Douma

He really wanted to see what you looked like. He asked about it a lot "when can I see what you look like darlinggg we have been dating for a whole year" You promised him you would show him one day and he didn't like that answer but he got used to you giving him that answer. He trains against you sometimes. He's not worried about hurting you because he is extremely gentle with you during fights. But one day he cut your mask in half with his fan. (You swear that he did it on purpose) He took one look at you and ran up to you and smothered you in kisses. He thought you were the most beautiful demon he had ever seen in his life.
