Welles' monologue at the Chartres Cathedral in F for Fake is one of the most disquieting thoughtful and beautifully profound things ever put to cinema
"Our works in stone, in paint, in print, are spared, some of them, for a few decades or a millennium or two, but everything must finally fall in war, or wear away into the ultimate and universal ash - the triumphs, the frauds, the treasures and the fakes. A fact of life: we're going to die. "Be of good heart," cry the dead artists out of the living past. "Our songs will all be silenced, but what of it? Go on singing." Maybe a man's name doesn't matter all that much."

F for Fake Orson Welles France/Iran/West Germany, 1973 ★★★★★ There are a few "documentaries" featuring Welles talking about his own work. I'd love to watch him talk about this one: how did he get to the story, how did the whole thing start, what happened when all the twists and turns just kept popping up, and more. What a mind boggling experience that must've been.

New Transformers movie has Unicron.
I got bored so I edited Orson's voice to sound like Unicron in F For Fake for the Chartres clip.
Unicron was Orson Welles' last acting role.

As an aside, watch F For Fake, it's a very good movie.

The Weekly Gravy #206
And the first rude sketch that the world had seen was joy to his mighty heart,’till the Devil whispered behind the leaves, ‘It’s pretty, but is it Art?’ F for Fake (1973*) – **** F for Fake presents itself as the story of two fakers – one irrepressible and unapologetic, one covert and ultimately contrite – told by a charlatan. The former, Elmyr de Hory, was an aspiring painter whose greatest…

F for Fake was really good but I gotta be honest I didn't realize Orson Wells lived til 1985. In my head he lived in like 1942 forever
