Welcome to Shortie's Joel Miller masterlist! Below is a mix of pre and post outbreak stories, most are 18+. Thank you for reading❤️
The Way We Were [complete]: You worked for Joel and Tommy a few months before the outbreak. When the outbreak happens, you and Joel get stuck traveling the country and keeping each other safe. Neither of you spoke about the feelings you had for one another pre-outbreak, and in a post-apocalyptic world, it seems like survival should be your only focus. But feelings can't be ignored forever.
Look What We've Become [complete - sequel to TWWW]: You are tasked with taking a young girl back to her family while trying to salvage your relationship with Joel after certain events cause the biggest strain either of you have ever had to face.
I'll Be Home for Christmas [on-going]: Having just caught your fiancé cheating on you, you decide to come back home from the big city to Austin for the month of December to try to figure out your next step. You had no idea you would be getting more than you bargained for with the handsome single dad who built your parents' house.
Somewhere to Run [complete]: You move to a small town in the middle of Texas to escape your past and start over. You don't expect to fall for the town's handsome sheriff.
I Know Who You Are [complete]: A fall on patrol causes you to lose your long term memory, forgetting the identities of your friends and loved ones. You have to learn all over again how to survive in a post-apocalyptic world, and you learn things about yourself along the way.
Roommates [complete]: Your roommate, Maria, introduces you to her boyfriend's brother. You hit it off immediately, but when you find out the true nature of his profession, you both decide to remain just friends. But once the four of you eventually move in together, things get... complicated.
Swept Away [complete]: Detached, closed off, and hardened by failed relationships (romantic and otherwise), hotel mogul Joel Miller is looking to expand his empire to an exclusive tropical island off the coast of Fiji. The problem is, he's not the only one looking to stake his claim in the tropics. The owner of the island, a family man first and foremost, invites all the bidders to the island for a month long retreat to help him decide which mogul will be crowned the winner. And to make himself look more appealing, Joel hires you to accompany him as his significant other. But it's strictly business... right?
Swept Away: Season Two [coming soon]: Your return to the island for the grand opening of The Parador: Fiji holds even more drama than the first visit. Desire, love, heartbreak, mystery, and luxury await your stay.
Evergreen [complete]: Two unlikely strangers meet and bond over a shared trauma. But what happens when the lines unexpectedly blur and they're both overcome with guilt? Will they allow themselves to love again, or will they choose to drown in their grief?
I hate when you're right: After a heated argument with Joel, you finally convince him to leave Jackson so you could explore a store for new clothes, and what happens could change your life forever.
Have a Good Night: Every week like clockwork, the same devastatingly handsome man comes into the grocery store where you work to buy flowers. It's not until he asks you out when you realize the flowers aren't for his wife or girlfriend.
Night Shift: It was a relatively quiet night in the emergency room until a handsome contractor gets admitted and adds some excitement to your life.
Hard to Handle: One year after Joel cheats on you and gets someone else pregnant, you run into him for the first time.
Five Senses: You catch Joel sneaking off to do something in the middle of the night and curiosity gets the best of you.
A Deeper Purpose: Living in Jackson during the apocalypse doesn't do anything to curb your desire to have a child. The problem is, most of the men in town are unavailable... except for one.
-> Love at First Sight: Joel helps you through your delivery.
-> A Deeper Meaning: Now that your daughter is born, Joel is itching for another but you are still feeling a little discouraged with the way your body looks. He quickly puts an end to those feelings.
Come Fly with Me: You and Joel have fun in the cockpit.
Something Unexpected: It's been ten years since you lived in Texas, and of course the first week back, you run into a familiar face from your past.
First Impressions: When your heater breaks in the dead of winter, you get more than you bargained for when Joel Miller arrives to fix it.
Flinched: The day after Sarah died, he flinched.
Palm Trees: Sometimes love can be found unexpectedly in the aisle of Home Depot's Christmas displays.
A Christmas Miracle: Years of tension after a failed hook-up attempt with Joel boil over at your office Christmas party, but not in the way you expect.
Sweater Weather: A famous popstar's Christmas Eve concert brings an unexpected love into your life.

Thoughts on what happens after the Truman Show
He changes his name as soon as he knows that people can change names. Anything to distance himself from the show
At first, reporters and psychologists swarm him at every opportunity but he won't respond. He won't say anything to them. Until years and years later when he tells everyone what it was really like.
He's constantly surprised by things. How small and distant the moon looks. The strange nonchalance of an unscripted conversation. Food from different cultures. How the weather changes gradually instead of just switching on and off.
When he first saw CCTV cameras everywhere, he started to think it was all an elaborate trick until it was explained to him what they were actually for. Even so... sometimes he wonders.
Everyone knows his name which is extremely jarring
He lives with Sylvia and she tries to help integrate him into the real world. It's a difficult journey, but eventually he makes it.
He's astounded by the sheer depth of freedom he has. He can walk down that path he hasn't been down before. He can travel wherever he wants. The whole world is at his fingertips.
He becomes an explorer and tries his best to reach every part of the world. He's still scared of open water, but there's something about the sailing that comforts him, in a way. There's so much open, free space
Truman doesn't watch TV. He tried but it resulted in a very bad panic attack
Panic attacks are not that uncommon
Sometimes he has to check if the people he's talking to have earpieces or not just to reassure himself
There's so much music out there that isn't classical?!
He likes how everyone dresses differently to each other.
He finally gets to go to Fiji!

Hey. It's @reaux07. If you remember my last angry history rant on Paul Robeson, I'm back for Part 2. This time? King Leopold II and his relationship to the Congo. I just finished writing a 5-page, single-spaced essay on this for class, so I'll do my best to summarize in bullet points this time rather than chunky paragraphs. This will still be long though, as a warning, but it's a necessary read. Please let me get through this, because y'all know this hurts to write.
Trigger warnings for... just about everything typically associated with mass colonization (e.g. rape, murder, torture, etc.). Tiktok below as a brief introduction first:
King Leopold II of Belgium, due to his personal unpopularity and lack of love from his parents, had low self-esteem. As his father had already made 50 attempts to colonize foreign lands to no avail, Leopold felt the only way to uplift both himself and his country was to take take control of his own colony.
He checked Sarawak, the New Hebrides, the Fiji Islands, and the Philippines. Nothing. But what was left? The Congo.
How did he learn of the Congo? Leopold hired Henry Morton Stanley, a famous Welsh explorer of the time, to cross Africa from east to west, walking and canoeing 7,000 miles.
Upon the Congo's discovery, Leopold turned his palace into a luxury hotel for the delegates of a new conference to discuss Africa's colonization, supervising every detail. He successfully lied to the major powers of Europe, making claims of charitable and philanthropic aims, and that there would be free trade amongst the African colonies. (And yes, he did give every single attendee a painting of his face... Because he could.)
Meanwhile, back in the Congo, Stanley (the explorer I just mentioned) used bribes and trickery to provide official treaties with the various chiefs of the land in case Leopold ever needed legal proof of land ownership. (Ex of said trickery: One report noted that a village assumed "the white man controlled the sun.")
In 1891 and 1892, Leopold released decrees stating that both vacant land and produce of the forests exclusively belonged to Belgium and that natives could only harvest for the state.
Enforcing Leopold’s rule were 16,000 Africans equipped with modern Belgian-made automatic rifles.
Outing Attempt #1: One African American man, George Washington Williams, during his trip compiled a report to be sent to the American secretary of state. In this letter, Williams remembers bets being taken on who could shoot the native people in the head first, among other instances of vile treatment. While the document never made it back to Williams’ home country, it was eventually found in Europe where he later died.
By this point, the Congo was actually ruining Leopold’s finances and he was growing desperate. But to his surprise, he happened to pick the one spot where rubber grew in abundance, just as the demand for cars and bicycles rose internationally, John Dunlop, a Scottish veteran, having just invented the first pneumatic tire.
Because of this, rubber-prominent areas were the targets of mass exploitation and punishment if daily and weekly rubber quotas were not met.
Missionaries began to write not just to one another, but back home in disgust of these aforementioned “punishments,” one man’s writings put in missionary magazines and national newspapers in Europe. These punishments included rape, tying people up to trees, cutting off men's heads and genitals to be displayed along the fences of Congolese villages, cutting women’s breasts off, and most notably...
Attempt #2: The world, if only momentarily, saw BASKETS after BASKETS of right hands that had been cut off as proof that each of the cartridges given to the Africans had been fired and killed one of their own people. These hands were then smoked for preservation and brought back to their officers.
What did Leopold do once this information came out alongside photos of child mutilation? Acknowledge the abuses and moved on almost immediately.
In Europe, the rubber was processed in a city called Antwerp, ironically named after a mythological giant who also cut off hands. To this day, the connection between such a name and Belgian history has not been made by the general public as countless documents by the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs are kept secret to maintain an image of untouched royalty.
One commissioner in charge of a district in Congo, Leon Fievez, produced one ton of rubber a day, boasting of 1,000 people killed, 162 villages destroyed, burning gardens and plantations so people would starve, and having “only” used 3,000 cartridges. He was nicknamed the “Devil of the Equator” and rightly so.
Attempt #3: One day, a man named Charles Stokes, a British trader working for the Germans, entered the picture. Stokes was arrested for trading in state territory, despite those former claims of free trade, and sentenced to death. Leopold was forced to pay compensation to both Britain and Germany for his death, both countries now increasingly aware of the Congo’s dark reality.
To cover it up, Leopold made claims of the Congo opening up to new companies. Let's be real: His men were on the boards of all these new companies and he took 50% of the profits.
In particular were these "concession companies" where the "hostage system" was set up. Agencies, with official hostage licenses authorizing such, would take the wives of rubber collectors for up to 15 days until the quota was met.
On the 15th day, the men of the Congo either got their wives back or faced further punishment, often death. For the agents, the 15th day meant it was time to calculate commissions, and for the king? It was proof that this new hostage system worked.
These abusive concession companies lasted over 10 years until formal competition arose in South America and Asia.
Attempt #4: Then came Edmund Dene Morel, a half-French, self-taught shipping clerk turned investigative journalist who wrote in The Speaker of the abuses faced by the Congolese, backed up by evidence, not just speculations.
Due to Morel’s growing specialization in West African affairs, he was able to not only send out 15,000 brochures and 3,700 letters in six months after his move to Wales, but start his own newspaper, West African Mail.
By 1903, Roger Casement, an ally to Morel’s cause, spent two months traveling the upper Congo, recording African testimonies. He, too, realized that missionaries were key witnesses and went to visit Joseph Clark (a missionary of 20 years) for 17 days.
Through these reports, which grew to 50 pages in length, Casement and Morel were able to solidify Belgium as perpetuating the worst colonial system Africa had ever known. Punishments included Africans performing public incest for the colonists' entertainment, decapitation, women being stabbed with wooden spikes up their vaginas, and one woman tied up to a tree and slashed straight in half from her left shoulder through her abdomen and out the other side.
The West African Mail even reported on a part of Congo no one knew existed, private property within private property called the “Crown Domain” on the other side of Lake Tumba, which gained 231 million euros alone, all sent directly to King Leopold II. Crown Domain was 10x 5)3 size of Belgium.
Founded by Morel, Liverpool became the headquarters of a coalition called the Congo Reform Association. He also published a book called Red Rubber (1906). I think you’ll find the cover particularly striking! Check out the hand in the bottom right corner being weighed against King Leopold II on the left.
Leopold obviously not having this, commissioned a number of books and monthly magazines to clear up the mess. This didn't work. Obviously.
He even tried to send his own international commission to control what the Congolese said in 1904, to no avail. This was due to a missionary named John Harris who had taken the accounts of various people in the area and sent them back to Morel.
In one particularly heartbreaking moment, a chief brought to Leopold’s judges 110 twigs for each of the entire villages, not just people, killed by the Belgian state, naming every last one.
By the time they returned to Europe, the governor-general committed suicide and, upon being asked, Harris suggested Leopold should be sent to the gallows by the relatively new International Court of Justice.
The commission's report vindicated Casement and Morel. Leopold had tricked no one. EVERYONE in Belgium was calling him out.
Leopold ordered all of the Congo State Records to be burned.
In 1908, the Congo became a Belgian colony, not longer Leopold’s personal property. The state still made claims of "civilizing" the Africans after Leopold's death though, utilizing the leftover mineral exploitation industry with no guilt.
At least during his funeral, which he was denied of having privately, the entire city booed his body <3 well deserved. By this point, he had become Europe’s most hated man of the time.
And in case you were wondering, Casement and Morel were both accused to pro-German sympathies during WWI and executed.
I would like to add more detail but I think I’ve hit a character limit. Just know that Congo’s population was cut in HALF, in some places as much as 60-90%. Villages after villages were burned, as shown through so many soldiers’ and missionaries’ journals. This was a genocide of over 10 MILLION PEOPLE y’all. Hearing this story was truly SICKENING, but here’s the BBC 4 documentary we watched for class for more: Congo: White King, Red Rubber, and Black Death.
What truly gets me is just how OTHER colonizers were calling this man out after finding out the full truth… For me, that feels like extra proof of how truly messed up this was if THEY were disturbed too.
And what feels truly insidious was how Leopold made sure to institutionalize all of his wrongdoings and was so… obviously knowing about every wrongdoing, I mean writing in letters to make sure no one else found out. Please…
Linking my angry history rant on Paul Robeson from last semester here.
Happy Black History Month.

Chapter 4
The asshole kept showing up without warning. Sometimes under the pretense of spending time with Harlan. Other times he'd blow in like a storm, mess with her and leave just as quickly. Seemingly making it his mission to make her job as hard as possible, living to torment her.
Y/N felt she was constantly under his wicked gaze. He annoyed her beyond measure, but there were strange feelings underneath it that she refused to explore. Pushing them down every time he touched her. When his fingers would caress her arms, tickle her sides, play with her hair. His warm palms resting on her back, brushing against her thighs, massaging her shoulders. His hands always found their way to her body.
Honeyed promises flowed out of his mouth, trying to entice her. How he knew people, could introduce her and get her into places she'd never have the chance to without him. Jumpstart her career, make her a hot commodity.
Ransom would offer to buy her things; cars, clothing, jewelry. Take her shopping at the most luxurious and sought after shops and boutiques. Book a trip for two on a private plane to Bora Bora, Fiji, or St. John's. Painting pictures of sunshine, secluded beaches, yachting, bikinis, massages, and drinking champagne in a hot tub as they'd watch the sunset over the ocean.
When Y/N would rebuff his advances, he would become petulant. Doing petty things such as stealing from the kitchen or insulting the food in front of his grandfather. The cycle kept repeating. Ransom's words would go from soft and sensual to explicit to threatening. Every rejection and returned threat only seemed to encourage him. He would not be deterred.
---------------
Another Sunday, another awful family dinner. Tonight's atmosphere was already full of tension. Ransom's smug presence causing all hackles up and on high alert. Y/N wondered if so much rottenness in the air may spoil the food. It certainly made her lose her own appetite.
As Y/N brought out the main course, the group were in the middle of bragging about where they each were spending the holidays. Trying to outdo the other with the fun and lavish time they would be having.
Fran helped place the plates in front of them. It could have been actual ghosts serving them for all they noticed. Not even aware of the food under their noses until Y/N began speaking.
“Tonight we have prime rib with garlic and herb butter. Potato cream with caramelized leeks and brown butter brussel sprouts. And for our vegan guests, I prepared grilled cauliflower steaks with cilantro crema. Sweet potato wedges and rosemary seasoned roasted brussel sprouts. Please enjoy.”
Ransom looked up at Y/N through his long eyelashes. “This isn't cooked,” he complained, smirking.
Gritting her teeth, Y/N explained the prime rib was cooked appropriately to bring out the best flavor and tenderness. When he continued to poke at it with his fork, she offered to throw it back in for him. He smiled and handed over his plate, remarking that a real chef would know what they were doing.
Walking back into the kitchen, she reminded herself that murder was wrong. Quickly heating up the piece of meat, she threw it back on the plate, resisting the urge to spit on it.
Ransom accepted his returned meal with a grin. He held up a finger for her to wait as he cut out a chunk and took a bite. “Wow, this is dry as hell. And the gravy is burnt. What am I supposed to do with this?”
Go fuck yourself with a flaming cactus.
Y/N gave her apologies with a smile. Asking him if he would prefer the alternate meal that his aunt and cousin had because there were extras. He made a face but didn't make further demands.
Linda called to her before she could escape. “Y/N, dear. As I'm sure you are aware, we are all family here, including the staff.” Her lips pressed in a firm line, corners barely upturned, making heavy eye contact with Y/N. “And as a family, I'm sure you can agree we should be able to be honest with one another. It pains me to say this, but facial piercings are trashy and you should really consider removing that garbage from your pretty face.”
Y/N stood there, speechless at the gall of this woman.
“I couldn’t disagree more. It’s a sign of her independence and individuality. How dare you try to oppress her.” Joni reached for Y/N’s hand, which luckily was out of her reach.
Eyes momentarily narrowed at her sister-in-law, Linda sighed and raised her hands in defeat. “Well if she wants to look like whore, then I can't help her.”
Not to be outdone, Ransom pulled the attention back to himself. Noisily making a mess of his potatoes, letting them fall off his spoon and splatter around like it was the worst thing he's ever seen. “This is disgusting, flavorless baby food.”
Meg scoffed, “You’re being an asshole.”
“Shut up, teen bop and eat your tofu.”
The arguing continued as Y/N slipped away to the shelter of the kitchen. Fran was waiting for her, having heard everything. “It's amazing how they phrase straight up insults as being helpful, isn't it? I felt so valued as a family member when she told me last week that a show she watches has a monkey butler and I should watch it and take notes.”
Y/N shook her head in disbelief, “These people.”
“Just wait. You haven’t seen half of what they are capable of yet.”
The pair carried out dessert; burgundy pears with whipped lemon cream cheese. The family seemed delighted, save for one scowling face.
Ransom speared the fruit with his fork, picking it up and twirling it. “What is this gooey blob? It looks like a tumor?”
“Takes one to know one,” Meg snorted, covering her mouth in embarrassment at the noise.
Joni caught Y/N’s arm as she walked by. Holding her in place as she gave hair and makeup tips. Explaining to her like a child, about how she should dress and carry herself. “I’d be willing to sell you my last season's fashions at a small discount, but we’d have to let them out of course.” Her head was thrown back with the force of her laugh.
“Bah,” Richard jeered. His flushed face reflected the copious amount of alcohol he had consumed. “Nobody wants your hippy-dippy fashions.” His unfocused eyes moved to Y/N. “Don’t you change a thing. Your body was made for the male gaze. More to grab on to. Show it off however you want. Or leave more to the imagination. However you are feeling, darling is A-OK.” He winked at her, then stretched his arms up, faking a yawn. Jiggling the money clip in his right hand to make sure it was seen.
This guy is literally waving his money around. Ew. Just ew ew ew.
Walt started shouting at Richard about hitting on the help. Citing his sisters honor and respect. Things he most likely had no idea the meaning of.
Only then did Harlan put a stop to the fighting. Not allowing illspeak of his daughter.
Y/N couldn't get out of the room fast enough.
---------------
After she assumed the Thrombey horde filed out. Y/N turned on her playlist and began washing the large pile of dishes. Her breath hitched as a strong pair of arms wrapped around her from behind.
He smelled her hair, then whispered in ear, “I can't stop thinking about how your lips would feel against mine.” Ransom chuckled at her attempt to shrug him off. “Come on, Killer, you're too pretty to be working this hard. Let me take you out, get a few drinks in ya to loosen up.”
“Hard pass.”
Ransom rubbed circles on her stomach. “I get it, you think you're too beneath me to date, well don’t worry about that. I see people below my status all the time. How can I deny them when they come so willingly, and often. You’ll find, I’m always up for a good time.”
Y/N growled. “I just want to do my job and go home. Not be hassled by some arrogant playboy. I want no part of whatever validation you get from this cat and mouse game. Now get your paws off of me.”
He felt her stiffen as his hands began to move up her torso. “So tense. Come on, you need some serious stress relief, especially after dealing with my piece of shit family. Let me help you.”
Trapped in his arms, she did her best to ignore the tingling his skilled hands caused as he felt her up. Not give him the satisfaction of a reaction. Willing her breath to remain calm and her heart to stop beating so fast.
“Your nipples are so hard, what’s that about then?” Ransom took the half cleaned plate out of her hand, “Just admit you want me.” He licked her ear, smiling at the quiet squeak she made. He knew he could make this little mouse scream. “This body is begging me for attention.” Placing a kiss to her neck, assured in his success, he continued, “Just give in. I promise I'll make you feel so good.”
After a deep exhale, Y/N got her wits about her. “I wouldn’t want to risk catching the mountain of STDs you’re carrying.” He pulled away at her words, so she turned to face him. Looking him up and down with disdain. “You're not as hot as you think you are. Fifteen years ago maybe, but at your age the cocky fuckboy act isn’t cute, it's pathetic.”
He snarled and threw the dish in the sink, breaking it. Once his retreating figure was out of sight, she breathed a sigh of relief.
Murder wasn’t looking so bad.

10 years ago today, is the day when I got my second tumblr blog Kyoto16. That day, 10 years ago I approached the end of my soft grunge era. Over the past few months, after the discovery of the rap I liked, (it was the first time in my life i was listening to rap on repeat) I had gained a few extra points of interest on my aesthetic variety scale. Then, suddenly I started to become increasingly tired of the never ending feed stream of Lana and skins and pastel goth gore with sad quotes accompanied by Joy division’s „disorder” that I was being fed on all of my social media. And that fade filter everywhere you look. I was fed up and bored of everything in my life, and now I was even bored of my own aesthetic. Depressing. At some point, not long into my aestheticless lifestyle I saw Macintosh plus album cover on YouTube with the Japanese lettering that I still don’t know what means and the random white Roman statue, and somewhat of an 80s background, and I was like ok cool, this is weird , this feels fresh and I clicked. Then after listening I liked. Then after I liked i started to re listen in the background as I was entering and exploring the hole of this newfound aesthetic land. After hours spent watching vapourware cyber visuals : the spinning backgroundless PCs , the Arizona + Fiji bottle, the lowpoly game hands with guns, the young yung lean and aloe armour SoundCloud beats I decided that I’ll make my own blog honouring this aesthetical experience of 2010s. So I did it. Kyoto16 became the only anonymous routing of my new found interests; half repost half OG post. I spent hours a day searching for the new content. Like a lunatic + fanatic. I shared it with the passion of well payed researchers and met some friends or at least mutual reposters who still follow me on IG now and like my posts along my way. For a short but significant chunk of my life that was me and that was real. Then it stopped. I don’t remember why but months later I just stopped using it suddenly. I think it was around the time I moved to the uk and found myself hanging out with teen chav girls who preferred real human connection over a big bottle of strongbow cider and illegal cigs from Romania instead of the net world. Things end. This blog is my blog passion project 2. Someone used a name passionproject2 so I guess passionproject1 is the best replacement, first passion project since I turned adult #namaste

It pains me to say this, but facial piercings are trashy and you should really consider removing that garbage from your pretty face.”
Elizabeth stood there, speechless at the gall of this woman.
“I couldn’t disagree more. It’s a sign of her independence and individuality. How dare you try to oppress her.” Joni reached for Elizabeth’s hand, which luckily was out of her reach.
The arguing continued as Elizabeth slipped away to the shelter of the kitchen. Fran was waiting for her, having heard everything. “It's amazing how they phrase straight up insults as being helpful, isn't it? I felt so valued as a family member when she told me last week that a show she watches has a monkey butler and I should watch it and take notes.”
Elizabeth shook her head in disbelief, “These people.”
Joni caught Elizabeth’s arm as she walked by.
“Nobody wants your hippy-dippy fashions.” His unfocused eyes moved to Elizabeth.
Elizabeth couldn't get out of the room fast enough.
---------------
After she assumed the Thrombey horde filed out. Elizabeth turned on her playlist and began washing the large pile of dishes.
Elizabeth growled.
After a deep exhale, Elizabeth got her wits about her.

Exploring the vibrant worlds of the Gujarati, Bhojpuri, and Marathi film industries.
Among the oldest and biggest cinema industries around the globe is found in India. A public screening of an Indian movie occurred at the beginning of 1913. It was called Raja Harischandra. Finding someone to play female characters at the time was quite difficult. It has only recently been questioned whether the middle and lower classes still associate acting with a decline in virtue, female chastity, and credibility.
Gujarati Film Industry
Among the important regional and popular film industries in Indian cinema is Gujarati Cinema. The business has reached its best point over the past ten years thanks to sane and competent directors who have won the audiences' high praise. The movies have original stories, excellent acting, beautiful music, and a wide range of genres, including Family, Tragedy, Comedy, Mystery, Sports, Sci-Fi, Historical Drama, Action, and Relationship.
At the 64th National Film Awards, the movie "Wrong Side Raju" won the National Film Award for Best Motion Picture in Gujarati. The next film, "Reva," took up the 66th National Film Award for Best Motion Picture in Gujarati.
The Gujarati film industry's most admirable quality is that it consistently embraces Bollywood stars who are not Gujarati (Bollywood). Amitabh Bachchan, a Bollywood celebrity, and Jaya Bachchan both had cameo appearances in "Carry On Kesar."
The Gujarati film sector has produced numerous films filmed outside of India, demonstrating the sector's rapid expansion. The industry supports artistic filmmaking and its promotion across various media.
More than 8 crore Gujaratis and a global audience have been reached by Gujarati cinema thanks to innovation and art over the years. Gujaratis are wealthy, and the Gujarati movie business will soon reach new heights of development. There are several Gujarati actors in Bollywood as well.
Bhojpuri Film Industry
In recent years, Bhojpuri cinema has seen a significant evolution. This has enticed numerous prominent Bollywood actors to join the Bhojpuri film industry.
Bhojpuri film was fighting for its life and was on the verge of extinction until lately. However, the collaborative effort of the Bhojpuri film industry's creators, directors, and producers brought the sector back to life by turning it profitable once more.
Bhojpuri cinema has established a niche today, and its popularity on the international market has skyrocketed. There is a worldwide audience for Bhojpuri films, not just in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. The Indian diaspora living in Brazil, Fiji, South Africa, Guyana, Suriname, Mozambique, and Trinidad & Tobago enjoys watching Bhojpuri films. To know more about this in detail you can log into our Bhojpuri film industry app.
Marathi Film Industry
The Marathi film industry has continuously produced works of art. The business has developed a reputation for being content-centric and important thanks to movies like Fandry, Court, and Kaasav. A few years ago, the phenomenal box office success of Marathi films like Sairat, Natsamrat, and Lai Bhaari gave the impression that the industry was prosperous. But, the reality of Marathi cinema's box office performance could be better. 2019 witnessed 11 weeks where three or more Marathi films were released on the same day, which is unusual in an industry where even a solo movie struggles to maintain at the box office. This gives these movies no chance at the box office.
The Marathi movie business has its work cut out for it as the pandemic effect on the box office fades over time, and the box office throughout languages starts to rebound. It must address some fundamental structural issues for more sustained success at the box office. To know more about this in detail, you can log into our Marathi film industry app.
Bollywood is acknowledged as having the biggest global film production sector. In all, 2961 films were made in India, including 1602 features in 2012. India offers some of the lowest prices in the planet for movie tickets.

Exploring local markets is a great way to discover fresh produce and regional specialties. Sustainable Tourism Practices As tourism grows in the South Pacific, the importance of sustainability becomes increasingly evident. Travelers are encouraged to participate in sustainable practices to help preserve the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the islands. Many islands are implementing eco-friendly initiatives, such as promoting responsible tourism and protecting marine environments. In Fiji, several resorts have adopted sustainable practices, including using solar energy, reducing plastic waste, and supporting local communities through fair trade. Engaging in volunteer tourism allows visitors to contribute positively to local communities and ecosystems. Organizations often seek help with environmental conservation projects, such as coral reef restoration and wildlife protection. Travelers can also support local economies by choosing locally-owned accommodations, dining at family-run restaurants, and purchasing handmade crafts from local artisans. Conclusion The South Pacific islands are a treasure trove of natural beauty, rich cultural experiences, and unforgettable adventures. From the warm hospitality of the locals to the stunning landscapes that captivate the heart, these islands offer something for every traveler.
