Hey in fairness they had an influence on the entire industry! Some of it was terrible, like seungri being involved in burning sun, but also top is an incredible rapper (try doom dada), gd spoke out against industry standards Constantly (try his anti-mama rap at mama in like 2013), and taeyang broke ground with eyes nose lips. They were really of their time, and you did need to be there to experience their power, influence and incredible stage presence. Also, fantastic baby slaps.
Taeyang has a great voice, that's true. I might listen to whatever solos he has.
But I was initially asking about the music catalogue, and I got my answer.

Hi! I'm sure everyone tells you this, but I absolutely love your writing. Seeing your new posts always brightens my day :) It's a silly request, but could I ask for the elves reacting to a reader who's a Starfleet officer/from the Star Trek universe? TYSM and sorry if this isn't what you usually do
Thank you for your kind words, anon! It always brightens my day to hear that this blog brings people joy ♡
As for your request: People who’ve seen my main blog will know I’m a Trekkie, so I couldn’t let this classic fandom crossover slide haha! I’ve turned Reader into a Vulcan working as a Starfleet officer who ends up in Middle-Earth by accident (damned transporter interference…)
Enjoy the read and – of course – live long and prosper!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
・゚✧ Arwen.
Arwen is probably one of the best inhabitants of Middle-Earth to run into if you’re stranded in an unknown place. Whether you get beamed into Rivendell or to the riverbends of the Bruinen, the Elven lady is quick on her feet and recognises you as someone in need of help – especially when others speak of you with great suspicion. “Do not listen to their words. They have no meaning where my heart is concerned.”
Arwen is kind and curious, making it increasingly hard for you to follow the Prime Directive. She must not know about your starship, but of course it is senseless to try and hide your worries from her attentive gaze. Though she might not know of your dilemma exactly, she promises to help you find your way back home and always wants to make sure you’re comfortable in this strange world, being openly affectionate and sometimes even touchy with you – until she sensed that holding hands meant a bit more to you than an Elf… ♡
.
・゚✧ Elrond.
The Lord of Rivendell, Elrond, works almost as logically as a Vulcan, which impresses you. He is a master of knowledge and a lore expert with a vast collection of literature at his disposal. I like the idea that maybe the Prime Directive would not even concern him because he has heard of star-faring people but always considered them legends, until he met you.
Not only is Elrond an intelligent conversationalist – he is also the most considerate and kind host you could have wished for. He respects your drive for finding a solution to your problem but also endows you with comfortable quarters to retreat into, as well as a vegetarian menu to eat. To further help you clear your mind, he’d invite you to a session of harp playing. The music is soothing, not too different from your Vulcan lute – and yet entirely new – fascinating!
.
・゚✧ Galadriel.
The Lady of Light knows of your presence in Middle-Earth even before you yourself do. She immediately senses that something is off and delights when she finally gets to meet you. “How nice to have a face to the stranger on our earthly shores,” she’d whisper in your head. Her fascination with you is intense and maybe even scaring you a bit. However, logic suggests you have nothing to fear of her.
Galadriel’s resources and ancient knowledge, as well as the futility of upholding the Prime Directive, make the search for a way back to your ship easy. Before you go, however, Galadriel would ask you to join her telepathic palace – which you agree to. Her mind meld is more powerful than any you have ever performed before. It gives you a glimpse into her internal lights that are eons olds and yet young and beautiful. To remember it, Galadriel would give you a strand of her legendary hair as a parting gift ♡
.
・゚✧ Haldir.
Honestly? Haldir running into a Vulcan might be the funniest combination in this post – the stone faces would be off the charts! At first, the beautiful Elf and his ability to hide his emotions (minus his thinly veiled contempt) would fascinate you, as well as his matter-of-factly duty of keeping you out of Lothlórien. Maybe you’d point out, “It would seem we are both simply following our orders.” – “Indeed.”
However, you can be just as silent and stubborn as Haldir, so the two of you would probably spend an entire night just staring each other down, until he has had enough and finally escorts you to his Lady to make you her problem instead of yours. It is obvious to him that you do not belong here, so his sense of duty makes him care for you – which he would never admit to, of course!
.
・゚✧ Legolas.
Initially, Legolas would think of you as a fellow Elf lost in Mirkwood, which is good for the Prime Directive but bad for someone as untalented with lying as you. Eventually, you’ll informed him of your suspicion that the two of you belonged to entirely different species. He would ask you about your body then, as well as your workplace and perhaps your family. But after the friendly ‘getting to know you phase’, Legolas knows your weaknesses and will try to mess with you – in a playful and non-hostile but all-too Human way, testing your patience and logic alike.
That said, he will do what he can to help you get back to your world and ask many questions about it. “What is it like? To fare the stars as if they were islands in an ocean? What does the moon look like up close? Oh, there is no moon in your world? There hasn’t always been one here, either. Look that way… up, silly, not at me! You see it…?” ♡
Tumblr media
By the way: The young Romulan warrior Elnor, a main character from Star Trek: Picard, has an Elvish name according to the showrunners. One meaning of “el” (as in the names of Elrond and Elros, for example) is star, and “nor” means run. In both Sindarin and Quenya, dear Elnor’s name roughly translates to “Star Trek”!
Being candid and brash, a skilled fighter and absolute sweetheart, I think he’d get along splendidly with dear Legolas, for example...

The clock above the fireplace read 11:35pm. 25 minutes until midnight. They had exactly 25 minutes to consummate their marriage.
Hermione wondered how the ministry would know if her shiny new husband didn't come inside her.
She drank more champagne.
“It doesn't have to be painful.” Malfoy said, staring above her head at the wall, seeming eager to over analyze the wallpaper, “There are ways for it to be.” He took a deep breath. “Enjoyable.”
“I’ve had sex before.” Hermione said.
“You have?” His voice was a touch surprised.
Hermione narrowed her eyes.
“Loads of times.” Hermione scoffed (three times, to be specific, and it had been almost a year since the last time) “I’m an expert.”
Malfoy had the audacity to look relieved. “Good.” He said, “I’m glad you’ve had pleasurable experiences. When — when, we, consummate — ”
“Fuck.” Hermione said at the same time as him.
“— fuck,” Malfoy practically hissed, “Just. Just think of them.”
Hermione nodded. “Right.” She said, “Sure.” He was staring at her. Waiting for something; her permission, perhaps. “You can think about other people, too.”
The first time she’d had sex, Harry had been soft, if not a little too gentle. In the tent, surrounded by darkness and the ever present promise of death, their fumbling hands had met. It hadn’t been painful, but it hadn’t been overly pleasant, either. It just had been them.
The second time she’d had sex, Ron had been eager to please her, but it had felt off. Like a sneeze that wouldn’t come, like an itch just below her reach — overall, it had been unremarkable and unfortunately for her and Ron’s budding romance, a little unsettling.
The third, and subsequently final time, Hermione had decided that she needed to stop having sex with immediate members of her very small friend group, and Seamus Finnigan had been happy to oblige her.
In the middle, he’d gotten a leg cramp and accidentally headbutted her.
She’d gotten a bloody nose, and Seamus still wasn’t able to make eye contact with her without cringing.
Then, the marriage law had been announced, and Hermione had been too swept up in writing motions and testifying in court to worry about the elusiveness of her own sex life.
“Did you ever think you’d get married?” Hermione asked to rupture the silence that had stretched on for a bit too long. It seemed like a fitting question to ask, given their predicament. “I was never sure.”
Malfoy smiled and Hermione felt her stomach twist. This would all be much easier if he wasn't so handsome. “It was never my choice.” He said, “I always knew I’d marry someone my father chose for me. Perhaps that’s why I accepted all this — the lack of choice, that is something I’m familiar with.”
“You, however, fought to the bitter end.” He continued, “very valiantly, I might add. As is your nature.”
“It didn't work.” Hermione said softly. Admitting defeat to Draco Malfoy never seemed possible before — but now? It felt almost inescapable, the partnership that was materializing between them. Like the golden thread of fate was tightening around their wrists.
“You’ll figure out a way to make them suffer.”
“Not my nature,” Hermione said, finishing her glass of champagne, “That’s yours.”
The clock read 11:40pm. It seemed they could no longer avoid fate.
“If we don’t consummate,” Malfoy was saying, voice sounding far away, “And the punishment is a fine, I can pay it. I won’t pretend I’m not above bribery, either. I — we — have a lot of money. Perhaps we could buy the Minister an island? Do you think he’d like that?”
“Harry said the punishment was prison time.”
“Hm.”
Hermione stood from her chair by the fire and smoothed the nightgown over her legs, fingers trembling slightly. “Thank you,” She said, “For offering to pay a fine for me. And for hypothetically bribing the minister of magic with an island. But I think — I think this is just unavoidable. We’ll be okay.”
He smiled again, soft like the fuzzy clouds at sunrise. Hermione had never really noticed how his smile changed his entire face. “Yes,” he said, watching as she moved across the room, “We’ll be just fine.”
She lay down on the bed, closer to him now then she had been in years. The last time they’d touched had been when he’d clutched her shoulders the day of the trials, fingers tight around her flesh. When he’d apologized to her in that dimly lit hallway, tears tracking down his cheeks, uncaring of who saw.
Hermione found dwelling on the past did no one any good, but for once, she was glad he’d done so; if only for the growth that accompanied him with the passage of time.
Glad, that if this was going to happen, she would face the future with this version of Draco Malfoy.
Malfoy shifted, looming above her, his fingers finding the strap of her nightgown, twisting the fabrics softly before firmly pressing his hands on either side of her body. The mattress refused to creak, the only sound in the room their soft breaths.
“On or off?”
He waited politely for her answer, but his hands betrayed his tension, clutching almost angrily at the sheets, in danger of ripping them. Rich people, Hermione thought, could afford to rip their sheets. They could simply buy new ones.
“On.” Hermione said in a thick voice.
“On.” Malfoy agreed. “I’m going to touch you now.”
“Yes.” Hermione wished she was someone brighter, someone like Ginny or even Lavender. If they’d been assigned Malfoy, the room wouldn’t feel so thick and heavy. They’d be able to smile — they wouldn’t be frozen beneath him, skin as rigid as the bones underneath. “Alright.”
“You’re so much smaller up close.” Malfoy murmured, surprising both of them. “From afar, it’s easy to convince myself you’re a titan, towering above us mortals. But here, I think it’s undeniable.”
“I was taller when we were kids.” Was the response Hermione decided to give him. “Do you remember? I used to be taller than Harry.”
“I remember.” His thumb was rubbing circles against the top of her thigh. Just touching the skin, nothing scandalous, but Hermione felt a bit like a puritan seeing ankles for the first time.
“Do you think our child will be tall?” She asked, “Like you are?”
His touch faltered for a bit, a crack appearing in his perfect facade. For a moment, his eyes were bright, hungry. Then, he resumed his lazy touch, fingers slowly tracing down her legs, beneath her nightgown.
“I hope they inherit all your goodness.” Malfoy said roughly, “And they inherit all my height.”
Hermione had never thought about being a mother, never considered that a possibility — she certainly had never expected to become a parent with Draco Malfoy. But a life with Harry had inadvertently prepared Hermione to adapt to her environment, like those frogs that change genders.
“I’ll need to stretch you a bit.” Malfoy was saying, sliding down her body. Hermione wondered when she should start calling him Draco. Surely, soon, with the home he'd seemed to have made for himself between her thighs. “Please, just try to relax.”
“Right.”
His hot breath on her center was the only warning Hermione received before he was licking her, tongue twisting its way inside her cunt, thumb lazily rubbing her clit. She was wet, not an embarrassing amount, but not enough for him to grunt his approval, the vibration sending a shudder skittering up her spine.
“Oh,” she gasped, hips squirming against his hold, “Wha — what are you doing?”
“Shh,” he hushed her, words mumbled against her cunt, “It’s rude to interrupt.”
Then, he closed his lips around her clit and sucked, his sloppy noises filling the room. Distantly, Hermione heard someone babbling, broken cries and unfinished sentences — it took a moment to realize that voice was her own. Heat, like fire, like a dragon, spread across her body.
He was pressing her to his face, fingers digging into her flesh; each time she withered away from his tongue, his lips, even his teeth, his grip tightened, an arm pressed against the flesh of her stomach.
Finally, finally, finally, she felt one his fingers slip across her folds, sliding through the wetness. Malfoy’s fingers were so much thicker than her own, entering her with a bluntness she wasn’t accustomed to, twisting her open. Fucking her slowly, with no clear intention of quickening his pace.
“After the war,” Malfoy said, licking up her cunt with leisure, “When we were at school, I wanted to be near you every second. It was like waking up and realizing I could actually see the sun.”
She remembered, even now, through her trembling limbs, how he’d looked at her during their 8th year. It hadn’t been a predator's gaze, but one of blatant observation. Like he was truly seeing her for the first time; finally allowing himself to look.
“What a gift it is.” He murmured against her, a second finger sliding to join the first, a pleasant burn beginning to overtake Hermione, bubbling over the surface, spreading across her flesh, “The privilege to bask in your warmth.”
He devoured her until she came with a wail, on an exhale, head tossed back. Hermione twisted and twisted and twisted away, but his hold was firm. It hadn’t been like that with the others, rarely, it had even been like that with herself.
“Will that be enough?” She sniffed.
He pulled his cock out for her to see.
“Three fingers, then.” Hermione said, voice unsteady.
It was 11:53pm by the time he’d stretched her to his liking.
“Hermione.”
Hermione jerked at the use of her first name. “Yes?” She hiccuped.
He squinted up at her, hair falling over his eyes. He really looked like a stupid fairytale prince, even now, with his face glistening, wet with her, it was completely unfair. “Think of someone else. It’ll help this part.”
To her credit, Hermione tried to follow his directions.
Visions of Harry’s eyes morphed into gray, Ron’s arms around her torso tightened, the way she imagined he would clutch her to his chest — Seamus’s moans grew deeper, like his voice.
It seemed all roads led back to Draco Malfoy, and Hermione was too tired to contemplate the importance of that realization.
Earlier, he’d called her valiant. Brave. Said it was part of her nature, woven into her bones. If she had nothing left, she’d still have her bravery. Perhaps, it was time to use the courage everyone insisted she possessed.
“I’m not thinking of anyone else.”
Malfoy looked like someone had shot him. “What?”
“I’m not thinking of anyone else.” Hermione repeated loudly. Maybe he had a minor head cold and was having difficulty hearing her, “I’m thinking about you.”
“But I told you to think of the others.”
Hermione rolled her eyes.
“I’m not a dog.” Hermione scoffed. “I don’t blindly follow your orders.”
She ignored the way he smiled at her.
She felt him then, between her legs. Warm and heavy, a weight on her thigh, a promise for what was to come. “I’m,” Malfoy looked upset, angrier than before with the sheets, “I’m sorry that this happened. That it’s me.”
“I’m not.” The orgasms had loosened her limbs, a crack across a frozen pond; speaking to him seemed easier now, less world shattering. “I’m glad it’s you. I’ve fucked both my friends, it’s only natural that I’d carry on to my enemies next.”
“You think I'm your enemy?”
“No,” She sighed, “I think you’re my husband.”
“Say that again.”
“Husband.” She repeated. “You are my husband.”
“And you are my wife.”
Earlier cowardice forgotten, Hermione smiled up at him, all teeth. Malfoy blinked, like someone had turned on the lights. “ I’ve thought about you fucking me before.” She said softly, “Have you thought about me?”
Malfoy groaned, like he was in pain. “Constantly,” he said. “An agonizing amount. It’s time for me to fuck a baby into you. I’ll fill you up, alright? Will you let me?”
Hermione managed a confident nod.
The feel of all of him, tossed her head back.
Unfair, completely unfair, that this experience belonged to him, when already so many parts of her were his, too. His ownership over her mind had been a subtle acquisition, but this new feeling, the one burning through her, seemed to happen all at once.
“Such a good girl,” Malfoy grunted, “allowing me between your thighs.”
Then, he began to move, and the entire world seemed to tilt off axis.
Everything seemed to melt away, all that remained was Draco, the drag of his cock inside her.
She weakly clutched his arm when his fingers slid to her clit again, rubbing slow, agonizing circles. He smiled at the tears that stuck to her eyelashes, and it was a little mean.
“I won’t last,” he managed to say, “come on my cock, that’s a good girl, let me feel it.”
She felt when he came inside of her, heat spreading across her stomach. Winced slightly, when he kept fucking her, soft thrusts, fucking his cum deeper inside her.
“Have to make it stick.” He slurred.
“We can try again.” Hermione sighed, finally allowing her fingers to drag through his hair. Soft, softer than she thought it’d be — felt him twitch inside of her when she spoke. Wondered if her voice alone had the power to bring him to his knees.
“Has no one ever made you come before?” He hummed, “Does that job only belong to your husband?”
“You’ve never had a job in your life.”
She felt his smile against her skin. “Then I’ll need lots of practice.”

˗ˏˋ  SORA SOLO DEBUT ALBUM !  ‘ 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 ’ ♡ ˚◞
april 4th 2022 angelico ent released CHERRY SORA of VIVID’s breakout debut album. the debut was considered the most anticipated and most successful solo debut of the year , with her title track TIE A CHERRY being a smash hit. every track on the album was written and produced by SORA alongside production partner DAYNA under their duo production name SODA. with tracks XAI and VELVET made with ex group mate and well known industry producer BLU. the title track was promoted alongside her intro for the album RAW ! and the b side RED MIND. the quality of production on each track is a characteristic which SODA and BLU have become known for.
-ˏˋ  ABOUT ! 𝐑𝐀𝐖 & 𝐓𝐈𝐄 𝐀 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘. ♡ ˚◞
the intro track RAW opens the album with fierceness. although it may be the shortest of the tracks it still leaves an impact with its message “i just wanna be raw” as the opening track it lets the listener know who sora is as an artist; raw. which ties in perfectly with her title track TIE A CHERRY
the title track TIE A CHERRY is a song that displays sora unapologetic individualism and self-love: not only praising herself visually but also as an artist as she boldly claims that there is no one beating her. the track is written by sora but produced by vivid subunit soda. it builds an atmosphere of freedom with a musical blend of hip-hop and bass to create a fun and engaging sound that leaves the listener feeling good and wanting to shake ass along to it. the instrumental is impressive, to say the least. with catchy filtered vocals and harmonies to exciting synths that compliment the songs bouncy and hard hitting 808’s and bass on the bottom end.
˗ˏˋ  ABOUT !  ‘ 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 ’ ♡ ˚◞
CHERRY is a hip-hop-centered album that showcases sora’s multiple skills along with her expert lyricism. lee manages to mix her powerful raps with sharp digs which we see in BITCHY and NOT FRIENDLY with her signature effortlessly cool yet hard-hitting style , along side her soulful introspective track BETTER which explores how sora hopes that a lover feels better having given up on their relationship suddenly . another slower and sensitive vocal driven track is MY PROBLEM which speaks on a codependent relationship that was almost doomed from the start. tracks such as NEED TO KNOW and XAI mix both her vocals and rap perfectly with a subtle sex appeal and swag. sora herself explained she wanted the album to embody herself ; fun - seen in RED MIND- and sexy- seen in VELVET- with a hint of seriousness as she explores herself.
we see this serious side in the outro FUN GIRL. it is a stripped one take track where sora is playing the guitar and singing about how she struggles to view herself as someone worth love but also acknowledges that she shouldn’t internalize rejection and understanding that it’s could also come from the other persons flaws and not purely her own. her confidence may come across as cocky and undesirable due to societies expectations of woman. she has faced backlash in korean media for being openly feminist and speaking out of gender equality. lee ends the album repeating “life’s unfair’’. this sentiment reflects the overall message of the album, life is hard yet it’s fun. as her melody and lyrics highlight what a painful reality it is.it as a deeply raw and honest track that exposes sora’s inner most worries and thoughts.
there are multiple tracks that are definite anthems and fun listens as well as sexier tracks , every single one deserves just as much attention as the next. soras authentic style and fun energy that she brings on her debut album cannot go unnoticed. with her being album to create this on her debut it definitely definitely provides a framework for her upcoming releases leaving us all excited for what’s to come.

˗ˏˋ  ERA HIGHLIGHTS !  ‘ 𝐓𝐈𝐄 𝐀 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 ! ’ ♡ ˚◞
𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 ! got a lot of praise for it’s musicality and lyricism. with critics saying it was an album to be remembered and aspired to by future generations.
𝐓𝐈𝐄 𝐀 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 mv got 20 million views in 24 hours which is almost double the views DAYNA received on her debut
SORA did a special promotional solo press concert where she performed every track
𝐓𝐈𝐄 𝐀 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 received 5 music show wins in its 3 weeks of promotion which is beyond impressive for a debut single.
at her first win other VIVID members came out and celebrated with her just like they did for DAYNA the year before ! sora was crying as the members mainly sang along and did the choreography. SISI and LEO picked her up during the bridge as she rapped along and wiped her tears. it was a fun and emotional moment that went viral
SORA’S visuals and aesthetic for the era was a hit not only among brites but among the general public as well. her skunk hair sparked a trend amongst idols that hair with many sporting the look later on. although she was not the first to wear it, she definitely popularized it.
a clip of sora and her back up dancer arin tweaking and sling ass during an encore went viral with good and bad reviews. fans were happy to see sora happy and couldn’t deny her skills but others called it tasteless and trashy labeling her as a whore. she didn’t care lmao.
speculation about who her tracks were about was a huge talking point with many noticing how fin was featured less on her instagram in recent months.
sora filmed multiple Vtalk episodes during her promotions which aired weekly on the groups youtube. it documented silly backstage moments and rehearsals. the other members also recorded some clips when they came to watch her performances. because she was on her own her personality was able to shine more and fans posted clips and edits on social media which gained a lot of attention from non fans.
a total of 4 music videos were released for the tracks on the album : TIE A CHERRY , RED MIND , NOT FRIENDLY and NEED TO KNOW.
TIE A CHERRY﹙ insp ﹚﹙ insp ﹚ ﹙ insp ﹚ RED MIND ﹙ ⠀ mv insp ⠀ ﹚ NOT FRIENDLY ﹙ ⠀mv insp ⠀ ﹚ ﹙ ⠀mv insp⠀ ﹚ NEED TO KNOW ﹙ ⠀ mv insp ⠀ ﹚
overall it was a fun and insanely successful debut and our girl ate the entire era up and shook up the industry. sora lee world domination babyyyy

The 388-page report featured 32 recommendations on how transgender care should be conducted within NHS England. It incorrectly claims that there is “no good evidence” supporting transgender care and calls for restrictions on trans care for individuals under the age of 18, although it does not advocate for an outright ban. The report endorses the idea that being transgender may be caused by anxiety, depression, and OCD issues, despite the American Psychological Association, the largest psychological association in the world, rebutting this as lacking evidence. It also claims that transgender individuals can be “influenced” into being trans, a nod to the discredited theory of social contagion and rapid onset gender dysphoria, rejected by over 60 mental health organizations. Lastly, it seemingly endorses restrictions on transgender people under the age of 25, stating that they should not be allowed to progress into adult care clinics. To support these recommendations, the report was released alongside “reviews” of the evidence surrounding transgender care, using these reviews to assert that there is "no good evidence" for gender-affirming care. A closer inspection of the reviews released alongside the Cass report reveals that 101 out of 103 studies on gender-affirming care were dismissed for not being of "sufficiently high quality," based on the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale—a subjective scale criticized for its flaws and potential unreliability due to a high risk of bias. This critique is particularly significant given the contentious political nature of the subject and connections between reviewers, Cass, and anti-trans organizations.
[...]
Immediately after the release of the Cass Review, experts in transgender healthcare from around the world voiced their opposition to its findings. Dr. Portia Predny, Vice President of the Australian Professional Association for Trans Health, criticized the findings and recommendations as “at odds with the current evidence base, expert consensus, and the majority of clinical guidelines worldwide.” Similarly, a statement from the Professional Association for Transgender Health Aotearoa condemned the review, noting, “The Review commissioned several systematic reviews into gender-affirming care by the University of York, but appears to have ignored a significant number of studies demonstrating the benefits of gender-affirming care. In one review, 101 out of 103 studies were dismissed.” It is important to note that gender affirming care saves lives, and there is plenty of evidence to show for it. Numerous studies have demonstrated that gender-affirming care significantly reduces suicidality, with some showing a decrease in suicidality by up to 73%. A review compiled by Cornell University, which compiled over 50 journal articles on the topic, shows the efficacy of transgender care. These findings were echoed recently in an article published by the Journal of Adolescent Health, which found that puberty blockers dramatically lowered depression and anxiety. All of these studies and more have led to The Lancet, a medical journal with international acclaim, to publish a letter stating that gender affirming care is lifesaving preventative care. The largest and most influential medical organizations support trans care. A recent and historic policy resolution passed overwhelmingly by the American Psychological Association, the largest psychological organization in the world, states that gender affirming care is a medical necessity and that being trans is not “caused” by things like autism and PTSD.

Long covid has meant seeing lots of doctors, lots of times. I've met some amazing people. Doctors with empathy and curiosity. A long covid clinic doctor started our appointment but just telling me, "you're not crazy" and I burst into tears. A pulmonologist assured me that even if he couldn't figure out what was happening to me, he wouldn't let me leave his care until he'd exhausted his options and he felt he knew where to refer me next.
But seeing so many people, I can't help but have experiences that hurt. I've joined the chronic illness community; the invisible illness community. Long covid is new, poorly understood, and has the fun addition of having a political toxicity attached to it.
A bad doctor's appointment really stings. It holds onto me. It haunts me. Sometimes, it makes me angry. Why am I not being heard? Why am I being treated like my disease isn't real. Why is this doctor making recommendations that I couldn't possibly physically accomplish? I explained my physical limitations. They're real. I know that they're real.
It brings back all of the doubt that i already carry under the surface. Maybe I'm being dramatic. Is long covid even really a thing? Am I making this up? Maybe I just need to try harder. Have I tried yoga? Positive thinking?
Sometimes, it's small and inconsiderate things. Recommendations that ignore physical or financial circumstances that i just talked about in that same appointment. Test results read in snide tones alongside the "normal" range.
Sometimes, it's big and brash things. Recommendations of surgeries or programs that are extreme or inappropriate. Making me fight for my medical care.
Being sick is exhausting. Having long covid is exhausting. Having some kind of medical appointment nearly every week is exhausting. I live in a rural area and have to drive about an hour to reach any of these doctors. I don't want to feel like the expert on my disease when I go to the doctor. I'm tired. I have nightmares about hospitals. I want to at least know that when I give everything I have to be in that doctor's office, they will believe that I'm sick.
ENT 2021: No one really knows what's causing taste and smell changes in long covid, so there's not much I could really do for you. If it's really hard to live with food tasting like trash, I could sever your olfactory nerve. Then you shouldn't smell or taste anything. Maybe that's better? Although, if long covid is actually neurological, that might not actually help you at all!
Nutritionist 2021: Maybe try (insert very expensive home delivery food service).
GP 2021: Are you really, really sure you want to remove your IUD? Your insurance probably won't pay for another one for a while. The ultrasound showed it was still in the right place, so I can't imagine it's what's causing you any problems.
A Different Nutritionist 2022: I think you should sign up for an online eating disorder program. It's not long covid specific, so it'll mostly be group therapy with people with traditional eating disorders, but I'm just not sure how much I can help you.
Orthopedist 2023: You wrote "long covid" under preexisting conditions. What is that? I've never heard of it.
Speech Therapy 2024: Breathe out saying "e" for as long as you can....Hmmm, that was 4 seconds. You know the normal average for that is 20 seconds.

ur like the local vanessa+vanny expert so i hope u dont mind a question. (of like, your take on this i mean.)
so i was replaying help wanted 1 and realized like, were playing as vanessa right? and the general consensus is that the strange mask is vanessas. but we get the mask in a gift box? from beating corn maze w the purple key? which doesnt make sense to me. cause wouldnt that be finding it? its got a unique area and everything with the cellar which feels important.
if it had been a result of a mask-making minigame i could see it implying that vanessa made it, and seemingly she(or someone?) says “i made it myself” so like. SOMEONE made it and spoke to glitchtrap abt it.
i kinda like it as a system ness thing, losing time and whatnot, because sb vanessa has seemingly no awareness of vanny, but of course i highly doubt thats canon. which makes me think it may literally be a continuity error due to security breach getting chopped up to make the release date :/
BUT ANYWAYS WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS!!! sorry this was very long. i enjoy vanessa shes very fucked up… and i like to overthink little details. anyways yeah thats all <3
oooh interesting query! Also interesting that I am an expert, apparently. Lol
Umm, I always took it as the mask being a silly loredrop? Like, it’d make less sense if there was a minigame MAKING the mask because it’s vanny’s, why would faz ent make a minigame for a character who isn’t a mascot yk? things get complicated since we play as her.
I like the idea of it being evidence for system ness tho, hehehe

I recently looked through various oc and au of SoOpp, which surprised me extremely and, moreover, inspired me. I really wanted to do something similar, so here is my family of solar opposites!
Tumblr media
I also created my own ENT. I think I'm going to make a little comic if anyone gets interested. But here's a brief overview of these guys:
The team of shlorpian #87 went into outer space in search of an uninhabited planet. Soon the team was overtaken by silver cops and two crew members (a defender and Pupa expert) were detained and sent to a space prison. The remaining Schlorpians were able to escape, but their Pupa was severely damaged. The leader of the team, Ashwa, decided to make an emergency landing on planet Earth. They landed in Australia, in Murwillumbah, New South Wales. They collapsed almost directly into the courtyard of the Powell family, consisting of two sisters.
The family was not so surprised because... And why should they?
The girls have an extremely difficult financial situation, because their parents died a little less than three years ago.
Without describing everything in detail, in the end, two families from different worlds began to coexist together, despite the many differences in appearance and behavior.
I would not call these guys solar opposites, but rather... Onion grief.
