You Can’t Pack Your Sister!
*Dizzy and Celia packing for a school trip*
Evie: Make sure you pack all the necessities
Celia: We will! *Picks up baby Mal from her crib*
Dizzy: What are you doing?
Celia: *Smiles and places Mal in the suitcase* Well she did say pack the necessities. I’m not leaving her for a whole week.
Dizzy: Well that is true. But won’t they notice she’s gone?
Celia: Leave that to me *Grabs a baby doll and places it in the crib* There that’ll work I’m a genius.
Dizzy: Okay that works you are a genius
Celia: Told you so
*Later*
Evie: Where is my baby!
Celia: I don’t know what you’re talking about she’s right there.
Evie: *Holds up the doll* This is not a baby!
Dizzy: Are you sure?
Baby Mal: *Moves around in the suitcase she’s packed in*
Evie: *Eyes widen* Is my baby in your suitcase!
Celia: What no! We would never do something like that!
Evie: *Opens Dizzy’s suitcase* Oh look at that I found a baby in your suitcase
Dizzy: What? How did she get in there? I knew my suitcase felt heavier.
Evie: *Picks up baby Mal and throws the doll at them* Uh huh you must think I’m stupid. Your sister is not luggage! How many times do I have to tell you! You can’t pack your sister!
Dizzy and Celia: Dang it!
Bonus:
*A few weeks earlier*

Imagine this, when the Isle was created and Wonderland was closed up, colourful hair became a rare and hated thing, associated with villains. The Charming and Rose mothers decided to dye their hair (Ella dyed her hair black from blue, Aurora dyed her hair blonde from pink) together, deciding to do it during play dates between Chad and Audrey when they had the kids.
And as Chad and Audrey, as they grew older, they noticed what their moms were doing.
Chad didn't really like his hair all that much, it made him feel weird, and Audrey was basically the only kid who didn't bully him for it.
So the two of them went to their moms, and there was still some blonde left, so they dyed Chad and Audrey's hair blonde.
Chad loved it, and soon everyone had forgotten about his hair. Hell, he only remembered because of the photos his parents kept in their room.
So this kept going, Chad joined in on the sessions while Audrey would occasionally pop in when she felt like having fun.
It was great, until Chad and Audrey were ten, and Chloe was born, with the softest baby blue curls following later.
And Chad HATED IT... at first.
As Chloe grew, and refused to colour her hair, he kinda started to like it. He'd help her match her clothes to her hair, and he played with it, and he would tell her she was pretty.
The VKs had just come to Auradon by the time Chloe was also starting school, and the younger kids who heard of the VKs thought it was cool. And it was cool, and Chad was kinda jealous that Chloe had a better relationship with her hair than he did.
After a while, Ella and Aurora stopped dyeing their hair as well, and Audrey dyed her hair to match her mom, and Christopher dyed streaks in his hair like he did when he was younger to match Ella.
And Chad HATED IT AGAIN and stayed blonde. This boy has been hiding every part of his life up to this point, his hair colour, his sexuality, his love for arts and NOW EVERYONE WAS COOL WITH IT WHEN THEY WEREN'T BEFORE AND IT HURTS.
But one day he was sitting at college with Doug in his room. Doug was drawing up a budget for Chad (because it was an extra project for him, Chad couldn't care less about the money he a was spending), and the hair dye gets brought up, and Cahd pauses.
He looks to Doug, who had dyed his hair blue at some point for Evie and still had a few stray blue patches at his tips, and he sighs, looking into the mirror where a few baby blue curls are pushing past his roots.
And he tells Doug to leave it, he wants to try something new.
It'd make Chloe and his mom happy to see it at least once, and the worst that could happen is he looks ugly.
So why not try his natual hair again.

Castle Audio's HighSchool HC's
(Poll Winner!!!!)
Highschool Claire was definitely the hot jock that everyone wanted but no one could get. She would spend a lot of her time studying or she was at lacrosse/hockey practice so outside of those and pack activities there wasn't much seeing her. Because of her dedication she became captain of both teams her senior year.
Highschool Beth was an absolute party animal of a jock. Her grades were ok but she only put in what was required for her to pass by. When she wasn't also at lacrosse practice she could be found either at some house party or in the theater costume department. To most people's surprise she only had one short relationship (despite her being a known flirt) that was broken off shortly after her mom died.
Highschool Knight was awful at school and only passed thanks to Evie's genorouse tutoring. They ran track and took a break during the winter. They tried their best to stay under the radar especially after Claire and Beth graduated. But no matter how much they kept to themselves they were still always found sitting off to the side during Evie's cheer practices waiting for her to finish
Highschool Seer was the type of person who was never at class but still somehow managed to get straight A's. Because of frequent migraines and other magic related issues they were regularly absent. When they were present however you would commonly find them in the schools art classrooms sketching and painting, they were commonly described by their teachers as an "Artistic Visionary"
Highschool Ranger was apart of a lot of clubs especially ones that involved a lot of fundraising. Not only were they in student government, but they were also in the school nature appreciation club and on the yearbook committee. They loved organizing bake sales and would spend their summers at a local summer camp alongside their friend Isaiah.
Highschool Evie was not only a cheerleader but also participated heavily in her high schools tutoring program. She was a little shy as a freshman which earned her some unwanted attention but was surprised when one day the bullying just stopped. It almost seemed like the bullies were afraid of her for some reason. She never did find out why but Knight also seemed to redirect the conversation if it was ever brought up.
Highschool Rose was always very quiet and well read. She tended to keep to herself and always had her nose in some kind of literature. She was a "pleasure to have in class" according to her teachers and fell in love with english and writing based courses. When she wasn't at school she spent a lot of her time working or studying.
Highschool Abigail was the type of student that was taken to a seperate room to take tests because she had a difficult time focusing but she had great grades and loved to learn. She did morning announcements for her school and tried to establish a cryptid club (but it never became official). She didn't have many in school friends and was unfortunately picked on throughout most of highschool but in her senior year she found a great online community and started her podcast.
Highschool Bud was an average student but they were the type of person to be "friends" with everyone. They didn't have any close friends but they always had a place to sit at lunch and people to talk to just no one to really know them beyond basic friendship. They did also have a great relationship with their english teacher and would often spend their lunch or free period's in said teacher's classroom
Highschool Chloe was the kind popular girl that everyone wanted to be friends with who also had great grades. She was on her schools swim and debate teams and always ready to help when one of her friends needed someone. She graduated salutatorian and is still to this day a little peeved about coming in second
Highschool Dewdrop was an incredible swimmer on their schools team but they unfortunately had to drop the sport their senior year due to their chronic pain becoming harder to deal with. With all the new free time they put all their time into their studies and fell in love with biology and the other sciences

So basically everyone acknowledges that Mal is a fae/demigod.
Some people I've seen think Jay is half-genie since they never mentioned un-genie-fying Jafar.
Only once in the books did they mention that Evie was a witch 'cause her mom is and I think in specific fanfiction.
But absolutely no one here is talking about the fact that Carlos is British.

this is so different from the other posts i do but fuck it. descendants 4: rise of red review, spoilers ofc, we still boycott disney's ass, pirate this movie like uma and her crew ate the intro of this movie instead of watching this from disney+
keep reading if youve seen it or dont care about spoilers but tldr: if you havent seen it and see this as a spin off movie instead of a 4th installment, i say go watch it. its basically how i feel about the 2024 mean girls movie, im just here for certain characters, dynamics and songs, and a bit of the actual plot, its fun but definitely not for everyone, i liked parts of the movie/plots tho
okay honestly overall, despite the fucking terrible rushed ass ending, i still honestly enjoyed a lot of aspects of this movie.
songs, generally i liked. yeah its all pop-y but yk, none of them were unbearable, i loop red, whats my name (red vers.) and love aint it what about it
the editing was. a choice at times. like it will cut at the most random moments and when red was being transported and fell from that. pipe. thing in the castle it was so. disney channel editing core LIKE OKAY I KNOWW OFC IT IS but grahhhhhHH
the cg was good, direction was. also a choice at times. idk how to explain it but it felt like every scene was being directed like a music video and not like a MOVIE esp the lighting oh my god idk what it is but its so GLOWY AND WEIRDD
the characters themselves, i love the main cast, red, chloe, ella, bridget, etc. were all cool. IM A FIRM RED/CHLOE SHIPPER THEY ARE GIRLFRIENDS IDC and i also liked the dynamic they have with their past moms it was nice
oh yeah i dont mind how they wrote mal, evie, jay, and ben outta the story, i mean they gotta explain their absence yk. and i loved the carlos tribute, you can tell china was genuinely not acting in that tribute scene.
the vks were. okay. i dont mind that literally every villain/princess/disney protag goes to high school. this whole series basically feature length fanfiction anyway, idc personally about that. its weird URSULAS SISTER was the main antagonist. like i get having a completely new villain aside from the vks parents or something but. ursulas. sister??? besides you could tell me shes ursula and ill believe you.
its nice seeing filipino prince charming thats it thats all i gotta say RAHHH PHILIPPINES BABYYY 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 MY MANS GOT THAT 'PINO RIZZ OKAYYY
the plot was actually fun, but yeah I WISH WE COULDVE SEEN CASTLECOMING WE WERE ROBBED OF THAT i knew when red and chloe got the book there was like 10 minutes left in the film but cmonn we couldve had Morgie, I DONT KNOW somehow freeing the rest of the vks and them STEALING THE POCKETWATCH AND RED AND CHLOE HAVING TO GET IT BACK, GET ANOTHER 30 MINUTES IN THE FILM MAYBE, ANOTHER ACTION SEQUENCE, CASTLECOMING. but its finee im sure theres a fanfiction in the works somewhere that has that exact premise because thats what fanfic is for babyyyy
imagine. during the dance chloe and red are scrambling to find the watch, they see the vks, they find bridget crying because her best friend isnt there, she thinks ella bailed on her, they have to find the watch but, they gotta make her feel better right? red comforts her while chloe chases after them to find the watch, ella comes to the dance late after deciding, fuck my stepmom, get your hands dirty parallels, something something, the four of them all stopping the vks together, THEN they travel back.
i should just write a fix it fic for this movie at this point damnn i impressed myself
but yeah the ending does leave a lot of plot holes, if bridget didnt change from the past WHO DID, if Red even CONSIDERED a VK in this timeline? if not then WHO IS IT?? IS IT CHLOE?? its hella rushed, its ass, but i guess we'll find out in the 5th movie ig
also i thought they were totally setting it up for Ella to be the one that humiliated Bridget in the past, like the "I saw through her" in Love Ain't It we NEVER GOT ANY CLOSURE FROM THAT WHAT HAPPENED?? sighhh its okay its fine
i see this movie as a spin off movie rather than a 4th installment of the universe because it pretty much is, like its basically its OWN universe with the lack of the og cast and new characters. i unofficially coin it as the "Descendants: Redverse" because it just makes more sense
so many questions, mainly WHY, but yeah, still liked it, would rewatch. certain. parts of it. but honestly? a 7/10. leaning towards a 7.5
is this a recommendation? not sure, depending on who you are you could totally love this film or hate it, i say give it a chance and completely ignore the busted ass ending <3
anyways KENDRICKKK FANFIC WRITERSSSSSS- DROP SOME MORE CHARMINGHEARTS FANFICS/D4 FIX IT FICSSS. AND MY LIFE, IS YOURRSSSS

More questions about Evie? Ask and you shall receive!
Al and baby Evie. What would that look like? Does he dote on the baby, leave her to Nel, try (and fail) support the demon spawn he brought into the world? Basically, would he be a good father, and does he carry the burden equally?
Honestly, I think Nel would make a pretty great mom seeing as she basically raised Grace from birth, and Grace turned out fine! Nel does seem to have a nasty habit of raising agents of chaos, though. Maybe it wasn't actually Al's fault 🤔
Presuming, once again, that Al was alive for this, does he keep up with his habits? Does being responsible for a child who might cry a lot at night put him at a higher risk of being caught missing, and cut down on the murder time? Or who knows, maybe morals kicked in, and the thought of being caught and leaving Nel alone with a kid was a line not even he would cross (he's a murderer, not a monster).
And what was baby Evie like!!! Quiet baby? Loud baby? A nightmare in private, but an angel in public? She seems like the type to need constant attention.
There have also been a lot of hints that Evie is Violent. Did Nel do a good job instilling fear of the law into her? Or did Evie inherit her father's "hobbies," too?
What about his powers? Is there anything inherent about them that Evie might get? Or would she have needed Al's guidance in order to use her abilities. And if Al was alive, would he have taught her?
Does she have actual friends? I know that Nel is a loner and Al doesn't really care if his "friends" lived or died, but does Evie have any genuine human connection - outside of her arch nemesis ofc (don't tell her I said that). Like a bitch pack or a best friend who roam the school tormenting everyone they meet. Just as a treat.
Also, Roxy: what's her story? Is she a young Nel with a new look and (hopefully) no nicotine addiction? Does she get to have friends?
Let me know if I should break these asks up more in the future to avoid the wall-of-text problem! Once again, don’t feel pressured to answer any of the questions if you don’t want to or if it’s spoiler territory. Take care of yourself! Don't get lost or stolen!!!
YIPPEEEE!!! For pride month I am answering a yummy ask about one of my favorite evil lesbians.
In the little thought-world-brainrot-center I've created for Evie, Alastor isn't exactly around to know about her let alone interact with her. If he WAS around, I mean, he'd try his best to make sure the kid doesn't hurt herself since she is an extension of himself and he appreciates that, but I don't see him being the best dad. Emotional comfort? He doesn't do that. Teaching her to dissect things? Now that he can do!
I actually jokingly refer to an alt timeline in which Nel gets pregnant as "the good ending" because it's the only thing that would stop Alastor's charitable side hobbies in their tracks. Not because he has a change of heart- he just literally cannot find the time for it, and he knows Nel would cave his skull in if she caught him. He'd maybe try sneaking out one (one) night and then the ginger sits up in bed from a dead sleep and just says "fuck. no."...he gets right back in and doesn't sneak out again until Evie is older.
Evie was a pretty good baby! She didn't become an odd little cretin til she could walk, because then baby girl decided she wanted to play in the knife drawer.
She is violent in a way, but she actually takes more after Nel's brand than Alastor's. As weird as she is, and as sweetly as she threatens people, she doesn't resort to violence unless you've fucked with her or someone she cares about. It's that same sort of momma bear mauling-style that Nel has combined with Alastor's lack of remorse/excitement. It's not like she's killed anyone though, or even seriously maimed anyone. She has the capability, but not the urge. I know I jokingly call her an evil lesbian, but she's not actually evil. Just a menace.
I actually have always played around with the idea of Miss Genevieve being very spiritually attuned! I know that the supernatural takes a backseat role in my fic (for now anyway, that'll fucking change soon enough) so for Evie's story, I wanted it to play a much larger role. She's the kind of kid to look at someone and go "March 15th, 1933" and then skip away like it's nothing. Nel got used to it really, really fast. There's more than just her and Evie living in their house, after all. If Al was around, I don't know if he could have helped? I write him as someone who is aware but perhaps not the most integrated into the paranormal world (while alive). He'd definitely find it funny that Evie is though.
Evie has friends, but not close friends. Her story is hard to explain without spoiling my fic so all I can say is that she isn't a loner, but is incredibly lonely at times. Most of her relationships are shallow since she doesn't let others in. While her weird, chaotic nature isn't a front at all, she does rely on it to keep others at arms length if they get too close. She's incredibly popular with people she doesn't know well to the point that she has sort of created a little clique for herself. They don't really see beyond what she shows them. For those she's "closer" to who see her oddities, she uses those oddities and back-handed comments to keep them from getting close. Only Nel and Grace (and eventually Roxxy) are let in.
Roxy my beloved. She's much more than just another Nelly; she actually leans a little opposite to Nel, she's a slacker and usually gets in trouble pretty constantly. She's got a lot of anger from family expectations but she reacted to those expectations completely differently than Miss Penelope did. Roxxy actually has more close friends than Evie. Nobody would really see it unless they saw how fake Evie is with people (Husk would have a field day with that girl).
Thank youuuu for all the questions and I'm sorry it took me a while to answer them!

my descendants dr!
Tumblr media
𓆷 ━━━ background info ━━━ 𓆷
firstly i haven't even watched descendants until last year when my friend forced me to and i absolutely fell in love with it
my favorite movie is def the second one, but my ranking goes two, three, then one. uma's crew brings exactly what it needed and i love them so much
in general my favorite character is evie i love her <3 mwah the older sister figure i never knew i needed
𓆷 ━━━━ about me ━━━━━ 𓆷
my name is raye fitzherbert and i am the child of rapunzel and eugene!
we are 18/19 and auradon is a university instead of a prep/high school
ben and i are basically like siblings as our parents are very close - unfortunately auradon believes we're arranged to be married since we are so close
i have a cat named sunny and she is an actual ray of sunshine i love her so much
here she is :)
Tumblr media
i don't have any siblings, which is why ben and i are so close since we're only children
my wardrobe consists of a lot of yellow + lavender + light blue combos
i have a dagger that i have on me at all times just in case and know how to sword fight/use it
i look more like my dad but i have my moms eyes and freckles :)
𓆷 ━━━━━ extra details about my home + auradon ━━━━━━ 𓆷
while there are dorms in auradon, i do not have a roommate right now but i can request one if i want
in my home castle my room is up in the tower and is full of artistic doodles from my mom and i and its a lavender and sunny aesthetic
lots of purple and yellow if that makes sense (yellow is my favorite color even in my cr so it makes sense for me)
speaking of yellow my dorm at auradon is more yellow than lavender because its my favorite color :)
there's a lot of majors but i have no idea what i want to major in yet so i'm still figuring it all out
we actually use magic in auradon! i think magic is so central and our parents definitely passed their magic onto us so we get to use it
also in carona we have a lantern ceremony for my birthday and it is so beautiful i get emotional every time
so we celebrate my birthday and the day my mom was found, there's other festivals as well to celebrate things like harvest and fall <3
𓆷 ━━━━ timeline ━━━━━ 𓆷
i am shifting to the first movie, specifically the day that the vks are coming to auradon!
i love to meet people and experience all of that so i get to meet the vks with ben and help show them around
nothing really changes in the first movie, mal doesn't drug ben because that was wild but ben definitely has had a crush on mal for a while now
i convinced him to propose his vk plan <3
in the second movie i also go to the isle with ben and we both get kidnapped!
i made a tiktok about this but i literally follow him and wind up being taken as well- oops
but hey thats where i meet uma's crew!
and harry but thats not important rn-
third movie i'm with jane for her birthday and meet up with everyone in the woods like in the movie
so yeah other than that its like super close to the movies
i can't wait for after the third movie though timeline was because it's going to be so fun with all the villain kids in auradon with us
especially uma's crew <3 i love uma so much i respect the hell out of her
𓆷 ━━━ relationships ━━━━ 𓆷
as i already said, ben and i are basically siblings auradon doesn't agree rn smh
we speak to each other in french when we don't want others to know what we're saying
also as stated before ben has a HUGE crush on mal
because we've been doing research on the isle so he could propose his idea to his parents
anway
i'm really good friends with jane and my friend sol :) idk if they're on tumblr but they are my shifting best friend and we script each other into our drs so we can meet
anyway sol is chad's twin and they're cinderella and prince charming's kids
her and chad are very close as siblings, brains and beauty frfr
i haven't met any of the vks yet but i hope to be really good friends with them :)
especially evie and uma's crew
but like i'm excited to meet everyone
lets talk about harry hook
i like to script scenarios so if you're not into that feel free to ignore this! i like to jot the ideas down so it finally leaves my head
sooooo harry has a little crush
that's the best way to explain it
so while ben has a crush on mal, harry has a little crush on a certain princess and doesn't think it'll ever happen until the press interview said princess where they state that ben and her are more like siblings not arranged lovers
so yeah :) descendants two is going to be fun
audrey doesn't like me or mal
she thinks i'm in the way of her families plan for her to be queen but i'm literally like go! take him! i don't want ben!
but he has eyes on mal so she doesn't like that either
other than that i'm very close with my parents and ben's parents
also gil and i are going to be best friends. i haven't met him yet but that's my goal because he also speaks french and is so naturally funny
𓆷 ━━━━ extras ━━━━━ 𓆷
in this dr we do still sing and dance which is so fun
my dance partner usually was ben, but after the vks arrived it turns into jay
jay gives older brother vibes idk he makes me feel safe
there's a ton of balls as well where we dress up and wear our crowns since a lot of us are princesses/princes
here's my crown :) its like a mini version of my moms crown but in my mind its more stylized to fit the yellow/lavendar theme i have
Tumblr media
i think that's everything i can think of- if anyone has any questions i'd love to answer them!
i love talking about my drs and this one is so special to me because the world is so amazing and i love the music so much
also if you have a descendants dr please tell me about them!

“Hey Doc?” Jess slid up beside you at the nurses station where you were reviewing charts. “That one kid from Boston is here for the trial? She’s that special case?”
“Oh right,” you said. “God, thank you for reminding me. Swear I’d lose my head if it wasn’t attached this week, I’m just all over the map.”
You’d been scrambling for weeks to get everything in place for the first clinical trial the hospital was facilitating since the COVID-19 pandemic. You hadn’t fully realized just how much the pandemic had taken out of you before that, just how much had changed.
It was like you’d been in total crisis mode for a year, all the time. It had damn near fried your brain. You basically lived at the hospital. When you were home, you slept in the garage, where Joel had set up a cot and TV and a loveseat, too afraid of getting him or Evie sick to go in the house. You smiled at your husband and daughter through glass, wanting more than anything to just touch them. The second everyone was vaccinated, Joel held you for hours, clinging to you like a man at sea clings to a life raft.
It was so hard, now, to do anything normal. Your mind kept scattering, trying to find the crisis that needed solving first before it could do anything like planning or building things out. Arranging the trial had been an uphill slog.
“What’s this kid’s name again?” You asked.
“Ellie,” she replied. “She’s a character, I think you’ll like her.”
Jess knocked once on the door to the hospital room and opened it. Inside was a small girl, maybe 12, playing a video game on the TV. Something where she was shooting zombies. You smiled a little. She paused it.
“Hi Ellie,” Jess smiled. “I wanted to introduce you to Dr. Miller, she’s going to be running your trial and the lead doctor on your case.”
“Hi Ellie,” you smiled. She looked you up and down.
“Hi,” she said. “So you’re the one who’s going to go poking around with my blood and junk?”
“Yup,” you popped the p. “We’re going to run some tests, steal as much blood of yours as we can to feed the vampires in the basement, and then hopefully get you so that you’re not coming in and dealing with people like me quite so much. Sound good?”
She considered you seriously.
“You really think you can make a difference?” She asked. “Because going to the hospital all the time is kind of bullshit.”
You laughed a little.
“Yeah, that must get old real quick,” you said. “And it’s probably not fun having to give up your blood and stuff all the time, huh?”
“Yeah, that part really sucks,” she slumped back in her pillows.
You frowned, getting the sense that she wanted to say something else.
“Want to tell me all the stuff that sucks about it?” You asked, coming and sitting on the edge of her bed. “I might be able to help.”
“Can you help find me parents who will deal with taking me to the hospital all the time if this doesn’t work?” She asked. “Because I’m pretty sure having a broken kid is a deal breaker when the people who want to adopt someone start shopping around.”
Your heart broke a little in that moment. Her face was hard, her small chin jutting out defiantly, but she was hurting. You knew she was.
“Well if they wouldn’t take care of you when you’re not feeling well, they’re not the kinds of parents you’d want anyway,” you said.
“How would you know?” She muttered.
“I don’t have parents either,” you shrugged. She looked at you, skeptical. “And not just because I’m old. I never had parents, my dad left before I was born and my mom left two months after she had me. It sucks, I get it.
“But trust me, there are a lot of parents I see in here who are good and a lot who aren’t. And the not good ones? It’s better to have no parents than them,” you said. “So really, you just have built in protection. Immunity from the extra crappy parents.”
She laughed once.
“Maybe I should keep the screwed up blood then,” she said.
“Nah, think we’ll fix that,” you said. “Make sure you’re all set and ready to take it easy once you’re a grown up. Just give all the potential parents a really tough questionnaire. See if you can trip them up. You seem smart, I think you can weed them out with enough practice. OK?”
“OK,” she half smiled at you.
The rest of the day went by and your mind kept drifting back to Ellie. You grabbed Jess on her way down to the cafeteria.
“Hey,” you said quickly. “Ellie, where is she staying while she’s here for the trial?”
“One of the group homes,” she said. “It’s not ideal but it’s the only arrangement we could come up with and the trial would be really good for her…”
You nodded slowly and thanked her before ducking outside and calling Joel.
“Hey Baby,” he answered. You were almost surprised. His contracting business had picked up quite a bit in recent years and he spent most of his days running from job site to job site to manage progress. He couldn’t always answer the phone on the job.
“I know you’re busy so I’ll make it quick,” you said. “How would you feel about becoming foster parents?”
Tuesday, October 5, 2021
You got your third daughter for your 43rd birthday.
Jess had helped speed you and Joel through the process to get approved to take her home, Sarah almost strangely OK with you dismantling her old room to make it something Ellie would like, excited about getting her new sister.
You’d given Ellie your tablet one day during lunch, letting her go on Amazon and pick out bedding and decorations for her room. You’d had to transfer care for her to another doctor - though she still got to stick with the trial - but it was worth it.
She and Joel became such fast friends it almost made your head spin. You introduced the two one day when he came by to meet you for lunch. Ellie was playing her zombie game and he asked if he could join in.
“Don’t want you dragging my stats down,” she said.
“Think I can keep up,” he replied. She looked skeptical but handed him the second controller, anyway. Joel, you were happy to say, did surprisingly well. He even tallied more kills than Ellie did.
“No way,” she said. “We’re trading controllers, mine doesn’t work right.”
“Tellin’ ya,” he said. “Nothin’ to do with the controller and everything to do with how you handle the scenario…”
He traded controllers anyway. He bested her a second time, shrugging with a slight smile.
“You dick!” She laughed. He laughed back.
When you left the room he put his hands in his back pockets and sighed.
“Can’t let her go to a group home,” he said. “Just throw her in the car and bring ‘er home, fuck the rules.”
You kissed him, not sure you’d ever loved him more.
“Oh cool, you didn’t say you had a pool!” She ran to the sliding glass door, pressing her nose against it before looking back at you. “Can you teach me to swim?”
“Sure,” you smiled. “Might be a little cold to now but…”
“Think I can handle it,” she replied.
You showed her around the house, introduced her to Evie, left her to settle into her room and sat next to Joel on the couch.
“Happy birthday, Baby,” he kissed your temple. “Been a good one?”
“Oh cool!” Ellie stuck her head into the hall. “There’s a freaking telescope in here?”
She ran back into her room.
You smiled.
“Pretty damn good.”

Tuesday, August 29, 2023
Joel wasn’t exactly thrilled to get a call from Ellie’s school when they’d barely been back a week.
“Mr. Miller,” the woman on the phone said. “I’m afraid we couldn’t reach your wife but Ellie has been fighting at school…”
“On my way,” he replied, yelling instructions to Tommy as he jogged to his truck.
He wasn’t quite sure what to do here. Sarah and Evie had hardly been scrappy girls. Sure, they had some behavioral issues here and there - Evie got into the bad habit of sneaking out of the house her senior year of high school, something that worried both you and Joel to no end.
But neither of them had ever thrown a punch.
At least, as far as he knew.
Ellie, strangely, was more like him than either of his biological daughters. He saw it when she played her video games, the way she got worked up and invested in them. He saw it when she noticed some kind of injustice and stomped off to try to handle it herself, resorting almost immediately to physical solutions instead of trying to talk it out. Joel understood her better than you did.
But even though Ellie was on the scrappy side, he doubted she’d have started hitting someone unless she had a damn good reason. He just needed to figure out what it was.
You pulled into the parking lot behind him, parking alongside his truck.
“Hey Baby,” he pulled you in for a quick kiss. “They said they couldn’t reach you.”
“Yeah, I was closing when they called,” you replied. “I got the message only a few minutes later and just got changed and ran over… There has to be a reason, right? I mean, Ellie is Ellie but she wouldn’t hit someone without a damn good reason.”
He smiled a little at you.
“Told you lately that I fuckin’ love you?” He asked. “Because I fuckin’ love you.”
You led the way into the building, beelining for the administration offices. Joel recognized the look in your eyes. It was the look you got when something had pissed you off and you were going to fix it, come hell or high water.
It was a look that had made you advance at the hospital, knowing exactly when to use your tenacity to go after something you thought needed to change, knowing exactly how to go about it to make it happen. Whether it was making nice with the right people or going scorched earth, you always seemed to find the right way to navigate it.
Joel almost felt sorry for the staff as you walked into the office. He knew your scorched earth look when he saw it.
“Hi,” you said. “We’re the Millers, Ellie Williams’ parents. We were told she was here?”
“Of course,” the woman led the two of you back to a counselor’s office.
Ellie was sitting in the corner, arms crossed, her eye black. She looked pissed, like she was on the verge of tears.
“Oh Baby Girl,” Joel went and dropped to his knee in front of her, taking his face in his hand. “Who hit you?”
“Stupid girl,” she muttered.
“Mr. and Mrs. Miller,” the counselor smiled tightly. “I’m afraid we have a problem here.”
“Yes,” you said, not taking the woman’s outstretched hand. “I’m afraid we do. Is there a reason my daughter clearly hasn’t been to the nurse’s office? She doesn’t have an ice pack for her eye, who knows what other injuries she might have…”
“Well, the girl Ellie hit is in the nurse’s office now,” the woman responded, defensive. “We can send Ellie down after…”
“No need,” you replied. “She’ll be coming home with us until we can establish whether or not your school can provide competent care for our child.”
“Well, your child hit another student,” she said. “In front of several teachers. She threw the first punch. The first several, actually…”
“She started it!” Ellie yelled. You gave her a look and she sat back in her chair, muttering. “Well, she did….”
“Did you talk to this other girl?” You asked the counselor, eyebrows raised. “Or did you just blame my child because she’s newer to the district and in foster care?”
“I can assure you, Ellie’s status had nothing to do…”
“Ellie,” you turned to her. “Why did you hit the other girl?”
She looked at you for a second before looking to Joel, her eyes pleading.
“Come on, Baby Girl,” he said. “You have to tell us what happened or we can’t help you.”
“It… it involves bad words,” she glanced at the counselor.
“You can say them,” Joel said, looking at the counselor too, all but daring her to try to tell him otherwise.
Ellie sighed.
“She called my friend Riley a dyke,” she looked to the floor. “Said she was going to burn in hell…”
“And that’s when you hit her?” You asked, voice calm.
“No,” Ellie looked up. “Then she said that she wanted to kill all the dykes to send them to hell faster. Then I hit her.”
Joel felt his blood get hot. Didn’t matter that it was toward another teenager, Joel wanted someone to hurt. He glanced to you, your jaw squared, and you looked back toward the counselor.
“So you just let children in your school use genocidal language toward other students?” You asked.
“Mrs. Miller…”
“It’s Dr. Miller, actually,” you cut her off. “Since you apparently didn’t bother to look in Ellie’s file and see what her foster mother does for a living, I’ll fill you in. I’m the chief of pediatric surgery for the largest hospital system in Austin which means I know every single social worker in the county. I’ve treated the children of some of the most powerful people in the state because they seek me out. I am more than willing to call in every single favor that I have - which I promise is a lot - and leverage every single cent I own to personally destroy you and everyone in this district who allows such behavior to run unchecked. I will orchestrate a PR nightmare so thorough you won’t recover for years. You will have to beg Ronald McDonald for a job slinging fries by the time I’m done with you, do you understand me?”
The woman glanced at Joel who just shrugged. He wasn’t about to help her. She was lucky she was dealing with you, you were just threatening her livelihood. He was tempted to threaten her life.
“If you want to keep your job,” you said. “You’re going to investigate this incident as thoroughly as possible. You are going to remove that other girl from this school before she hurts anyone else. You are going to institute new training procedures so your faculty and staff know how to handle incidents with LGBTQ students because, apparently, that needs some improvement around here. Think you can handle that?”
“I’ll discuss it with the principal,” her eyes were a little wide. Joel smirked.
“Good,” you replied. “I’ll be in touch to follow up. In the mean time, I’m going to take Ellie home as an excused absence to make sure she receives appropriate medical attention for injuries she received while under your care. I’ll also be reaching out to my attorney to make sure any and all liability in this case is appropriately considered.”
You stood up and Ellie stood up with you. You put your arm around her.
“Come on,” you said. “We’re going home.”
Ellie pressed herself against your side and gave you a quick hug before she climbed in Joel’s car.
“For the record,” Joel said. “Not sure I’ve ever wanted to fuck you more than when you were chewing out that counselor.”
“Good to know I can still turn you on,” you teased before you sighed. “So, Ellie’s friend…”
“Always kinda figured,” he shrugged. “She’ll tell us when she’s ready.”
“Yeah,” you said. “See you at home?”
He kissed you.
“Hopefully more than see you.”
That night at dinner, Ellie only picked at her food, moving it around on her plate.
“We’re not mad at you, Baby Girl,” Joel said, looking at her. “You know that, right?”
She sighed.
“I know.”
“Want to talk about anything?” You asked.
“You called me your daughter,” she said.
Joel looked at you for a moment.
“Well yeah,” Joel shrugged. “That’s how we think of you. We can use another word if you’d rather but…”
“OK but if I’m your daughter why haven’t you tried to adopt me?” She asked, looking between you. “I mean, if you just don’t want to…”
“Oh Baby Girl,” Joel leaned in closer to her. “Do you want us to adopt you? Because we just didn’t want to do anything that you weren’t askin’ for. We’d love nothing more than to adopt you.”
“Really?” She asked.
“Of course!” You smiled. “What, you think we let just any ol’ gremlin come in here? Just the special ones.”
She smiled a little at that.
“Cool.”
You started the paperwork in the morning.
Saturday, October 7, 2023
Joel had been looking for a good reason to take all his girls camping and your birthday seemed to be a good a reason as any.
Sarah came with Brandon and Carson, who was now five. Evie was happy for an excuse to get away from college after a bad breakup with her girlfriend. Ellie was just excited to get to spend more time with her sisters. Even Tommy came with his wife, Maria. Just when they’d started to expect him to never settle down, he met the perfect woman. Unlike Joel, he wasted no time in locking her down, a fact he loved to rub in.
And Joel? He was just happy to have all his favorite people under one roof.
He’d rented a cabin big enough that you and him would have some space - since he fully intended on making you cum until you couldn’t see straight - and grabbed steak and hot dogs and enough junk food to feed a small army.
Sarah still lit her marshmallows on fire for Smores but Joel caught her stealing some of Brandon’s less burned ones when they were all around the campfire one night. He took Carson and Ellie down to the lake and taught them both how to fish while you and Sarah stayed back at the cabin to chat, the two of you still the best of friends decades after he’d first hired you to be her nanny. He made the mistake of letting you pick the hike one day and he paid the price when Evie - who’d always been clumsy - twisted her ankle. Joel had to carry her back to camp, you cursing yourself for not packing more first aid supplies in your hiking bag. Ellie set up her telescope in a clearing and spent hours looking at the stars, far enough from the city lights that she was in awe of them.
“Good birthday?” Joel asked as you climbed into bed beside him the last night there.
“Perfect birthday,” you kissed him.
His hands drifted to your breast and you smiled against his mouth.
“Some things never change, do they?” You teased.
“You stop wantin’ it and I’ll stop doin’ it,” he replied, sliding a hand over your body to your leg, hitching it over his hip.
“You know me so well.”
He undressed you slowly, taking his time touching you everywhere he knew you loved his fingers to linger. When you tugged his pants down, you took his length in your hand, working him up and down for a moment, before you took him in your mouth, so hot and wet he had to stop himself from moaning too loud. You sucked him slowly, working your way down his thick shaft until you were nearly choking on him before going back up again, moving harder and faster each time, your tongue pressing against the thick vein that ran on the underside of him.
“Fuck, Baby,” he groaned. “Tryin’ to make me cum before I’m even inside you?”
You choked out something that sounded like a ‘no’ from around his cock and he groaned.
“You get just another minute of that,” he said, straining to keep his composure. “Want to cum inside your pussy, not your mouth.”
Just when he felt like he couldn’t take anymore, he grabbed your hair and pulled you off him, panting for breath. You wiped your mouth.
“Here I thought you liked that,” you whispered.
“More than liked it,” he muttered, grabbing your hips and yanking you toward him with a quiet yelp followed by a giggle. “Gonna have to do something to make sure you keep bein’ that good to me…”
He dipped his fingers into you, making you groan. He smiled.
“This wet just from suckin’ me off?” He breathed. You moaned in response. “Fucking hell, you really are the perfect woman…”
He added another finger and leaned down, taking your clit into his mouth, sucking and licking you while his fingers opened you until you came so hard it felt like you might snap off his fingers.
Joel slipped his fingers from you and ran them over his cock, using your wetness to make him slick enough to enter you. He notched his head against you and settled between your legs, pressing into you in one firm, demanding stroke.
“Fuck,” you panted, your back arching. “So full…”
“Love you full of me,” he said, grinding himself against you before pulling back and pushing into you again.
Your arms went around his neck as he picked up the pace, pressing his cock all the way into you with each stroke. You pushed yourself up off the bed and he smiled, kissing you as he helped you to straddle his lap while he was still inside you. He held you close while you rose and fell over him, thrusting up to meet you with every firm stroke. Your breasts bounced with the force of it, your head tilted back in pleasure as he sucked and licked his way up and down your throat.
“Joel,” you breathed. “Want to cum with you. So close…”
“Fuck Baby,” he groaned as you moved harder, faster, angling your hips so his stomach pressed into your clit while his head caught on the spot inside you that made you moan. He liked to think of that spot as his place in you, where he’d been made to reach and satisfy. Never did he feel as complete as when he was inside you, making you cum around him.
“Joel,” you gasped as you started to cum again, clinging to him with your whole body. He thrust into you once more before filling you.
“Love you so much,” he kissed you, your body pressed tight against his own. “Fuck, I love you.”
When things went back to the normal routine after the camping trip, Joel printed off a picture that Sarah had taken on her phone during the hike. It was just before Evie had twisted her ankle and everyone was smiling, the frame filled with the faces of everyone Joel had ever loved.
He wrote on the back of the picture, as though he’d ever forget who any of you were to him: “My girls + Carson, Me, Tommy, Maria and Brandon - October, 2023.”
You worked until after seven that night. Joel made dinner - nothing like what you could do but you kissed him like you thought it was a gourmet meal all the same - and Ellie was out with her friend Riley.
“Anything you in the mood for this evening?” He asked, pouring you another glass of wine.
“Nothing in particular,” you smiled. “Oh, we could watch When Harry Met Sally! Such fantastic fall vibes…”
“I think I can handle that,” he smiled a little.
“I mean, it is your favorite movie,” you smiled back. “I’ll clean up if you want to get it queued up?”
He found the movie on the Apple TV and was about to set it to play when he glanced at the record player in the corner. You’d painted little purple flowers along one side of it. They’d faded and chipped a bit since but he still loved those little flowers, a physical representation of you. He lit the candle on the coffee table - lavender scented, one of your favorites. He pulled out Slowhand and set it to play Wonderful Tonight just as he heard the water cut off in the kitchen. You laughed, leaning in the doorway to the living room.
“Clapton, hm?” You asked, eyebrows raised.
“Well, when the song stops bein’ true, I’ll stop playin’ it,” he held his hand out to you. You smiled hugely and took it, tucking yourself against him. He held you close, swaying in time to the music, the smell of lavender on the air.
You stretched up to kiss him as the song ended and Joel turned the record player off before settling in beside you on the couch, glass of wine in hand.
“I think our little ‘how we met video’ for this movie would be fun,” you said during the opening credits. “Me, a college girl with a crush…”
“Me, an old man who was practically head over heels for you from first sight,” he said.
You laughed.
“Think we’ve made a pretty good go of it though,” you looked up at him through your eyelashes.
He smiled and kissed your forehead, surrounded by your warmth, the signs of the children you’d raised with him, and the smell of lavender.
“Wouldn’t change a damn thing.”
A/N: Thank you so much for reading this overly long exercise in "What would happen if?" I like to think this version of Doc and Joel are living in Austin right now, happy with their girls.
Thanks for being here, thanks for sticking with it, thanks for being a part of this. Love you all!

My problem with Mal Bertha from Disney Descendants
Tumblr media
I know that probably nobody is gonna read this but idc.
I think enough time has pass, so it's time to have this conversation. Mal is the worst character from all the franchise (ik this might upset some people since she is the protagonist but she's is a horrible person and that has to be acknowledged)
This is going to be based in the movies, books and the mini series
Also I want to make clear that this is not against Dove Cameron(that's gonna be for another post) . With that being said let's start.
1) She's a bully
This is the most obvious reason and it makes me mad that she got away with it.
During the book and movies she bullied Evie, Carlos, Uma, Mad Maddy and Jane
in the first book she basically ruined Evie's life just because The Evil Queen didn't invite her to Evie's sixth birthday. First made her mother (Maleficent) put under home arrest Evie and her mom for literally 10 years and when the girl finally get the courage to get out of her house thinking that everything is forgotten, Mal tried to killed her multiple times
Mal literally locked Evie in Cruella's closed during Carlos's party knowing that they were traps in there and she could have been extremely injured (that was actually her plan but luckily Carlos saved Evie)
And that's not even the worst, because Mal was also planing on using Evie to get Maleficent's scepter back by letting her grab the scepter and get the same curse that maleficent gave to Aurora (fall sleep for 100 years).
And mentioning Carlos's party I need to add that kinda threatened him to make the party just so she could have her "revenge". It's important also to mention that Carlos didn't wanted to make the party because that would have caused him problems with his mom.
And the worst about this is that they both ending being her friends like nothing happened and being Mal's minions for the rest of their lifes
And some people in the fandom dare to call Evie "a bad friend" In the last to movies just because she stand up to Mal.
Maddy and Uma are kind of the same but in different ways
Because Mal was bestfriends with both but then betrayed them and humiliated then like the Judas she is.
(But Evie is the bad friend?)
With Maddy she literally threw lye on her, completely ruining her hair, forcing her to change her hair from purple to aqua green just because Mal felt like she should be the only purple hair girl on the Isle.
As I said Uma was a similar case because Mal also ruined her hair by throwing a bucket of shrimps on her, leaving the stink on her hair forever and then maked fun of her because of that calling her "shrimpy"
NO WONDER WHY THEY BOTH HATE HER
Jane was an insecure girl with no friends that was constantly bullied for her looks and Mal literally used that in her favor, manipulating her by using every single one of her insecurities against her.
And at the end she just had to say "I'm sorry" and everything was forgotten and she literally received no consequences. (And in some cases like Maddy and Uma' s she didn't even apologize)
And to finish this point I just want to mention that she was abusive to Ben and ALL AURADON KNEW IT, because Audrey in "Audrey's royal return mentions Mal's two attempts at spelling Ben. The first one is understandable to think that she knew that something was wrong with Ben and that she probably drugged him (which she did)
But how did she knew about the second one?
The only answer is that someone must have tell her about that and also that Mal run away to the isle opening the barrier and putting Auradon in danger and also causing Ben's (The king) kidnap
which mean that probably everyone in the kingdom knew about it AND DID NOTHING, not even Ben's parents, like why do you let your son get married with someone who is constantly putting him in danger?
And talking about the wedding and Mal being a bully just imagine the reaction of all of those children when they saw that their bully was gonna be their Queen. Life sucks!
2) she's a liar/ manipulator that victimize herself
If I could describe Mal in one word would be selfish because most of the time she only thinks about herself and what would be the best for her not minding if she affects others in the way.
I already mentioned how she manipulated Jane in the first movie
But now let's talk about the second movie
Basically this whole movie was her playing the victim when everything was technically her fault
Ben calling her out by ILLEGALLY using her magic and then her victimizing herself by playing the Jughead Jones "I don't fit in" card
Her running away indirectly causing Ben's kidnap and Uma's scape
Literally if she had just talk to Ben about how she felt instead of lying and using her magic to make everything easier for her, everything could have been avoided.
The third movie is when Mal selfishness and manipulative behavior is more noticeable
Let's star with Audrey becoming the villian in consequence for Mal giving Ben the love potion causing Ben not only dumping Audrey but also humiliating her in from of the whole school, so I'm sorry but she had every right to be mad at Mal.
Then, her wanting to close the barrier forever leaving all that innocent children to die in hunger and poverty just because she didn't wanna risk her perfect life in Auradon is just pure selfishness. Literally everyone else in the room thought that was a drastic solution.
To make it even worse she just lied to everyone for the rest of the movie.
She lied to Evie saying that was theirs idea and later when she gets caught she just plays the victim once again by saying she didn't have a choice and also confirming her selfishness by saying "I did it for us" NOT THE KINGDOM and even Evie's says that she did it for herself.
And do not forget how she lied to Uma, Harry and Gil by promising them that she was going to take all of the children from the isle to Auradon (even though she knew that that was never gonna happen) only for make them help her to defeat Audrey.
And in my opinion destroying the barrier was she stupidest decision ever made. The villains will try to get revenge.
But this is just my opinion.
Next I will be writing about my problem with the saga in general and I'll try to fix it. Follow me if you want to read it

Fic request: Evelyn introduces her parents to Caleb and kid Philip.
Evelyn's Parents
"Caleb, there's no need to worry," Evelyn voiced softly to her boyfriend as they, along with his gremlin little brother, arrived at a front door. "My parents are gonna love you."
"How can you be so sure, Evie?" Caleb asked his girlfriend nervously, chewing on his lip while wringing his hands.
Meeting Evelyn's mother and father for the first time was a tense situation for the teen, as his biggest worry was them learning about his previous work as a witch hunter.
Evelyn could sense this as she smiled supportingly, taking hold of his worried hand and squeezing it gently.
"Well, for starters, I love you, silly," she giggled lightly as she continued.
"And also because there's so much more to you than your past, Caleb. You're a person who chose kindess and change despite the witch hating environment you were raised in."
She starts to rub circles in his palm with her right thumb.
"If I'm capable of seeing that, I'm certain my parents will too."
'Her smile was so infectious...' Caleb thought as he felt his worry slowly melt away with her tender touch.
He sent Evie a smile of his own and nodded. "You're right."
Meanwhile, Little Pip stuck out his tongue in utter disgust as he watched the two teenagers display their dumb lovey-doveyness in front of him, making gag noises.
Caleb chuckled at this while Evelyn gave a playful roll of her golden eyes at the small brunette boy before knocking on the door.
When Mr. And Miss. Clawthorne answer, Evelyn is extremely elated to see them.
"Mom! Dad!" she exclaimed, joyfully hugging both her parents.
"Witchlet!" Both Mr. And Miss. Clawthorne exclaim in sync as they return their daughter's affection.
"How's our lovely little girl doing?" Mr. Clawthorne asked with a chuckle, ruffling Evelyn's wild red hair.
"I'm doing just fine, dad," she answered.
Miss. Clawthorne soon took notice of the boys beside her daughter. "Oh, sweetheart, is this the company you were talking about inviting over for dinner?"
Evelyn gleefully nodded. "Mm-hmm." She took a breath. "Mom, dad, this is my boyfriend, Caleb Wittebane. He's the best thing since diced bread."
Caleb sends Evelyn's parents a shy and kind smile, offering his hand for them to shake.
"Hello, Mr. And Miss. Clawthorne. It's a pleasure to meet you both."
"It's a pleasure to meet you too, Caleb," Mr. Clawthorne said with a smile, shaking his hand.
"Evelyn's told us all about you," Miss. Clawthorne states, shaking his hand right after while smiling. "It's a great honor to be meeting another fellow carver."
Caleb's eyes immediately lit up when he heard that. "Wait, you both carve?" He gasped.
Both parents nod. "It's what the Clawthornes are most known for," Mr. Clawthorne reveals with a chuckle.
"Yup! We're pros in the Palisman making game," Evelyn adds with a grin.
"If you're ever comfortable sharing your work, we'd love to see it someday," Miss. Clawthorne told him gently.
"I would be honored!" Caleb beamed, brimming with joy.
Sharing a common interest with his girlfriend's parents was something he felt extremely happy about.
Philip proceeds to LOUDLY clear his throat, feeling totally ignored.
"Oh!" Evelyn went, almost forgetting. "Mom, dad, this is Philip. He's Caleb's baby brother--"
"Little brother," Philip corrected her with a huff.
He's not a baby.
Evelyn, along with her parents and Caleb, chuckled as she continued introducing him.
"He's basically a baby griffin with really sharp razor claws and fire axe breath."
"I'm NOT a baby!" He protested once again with a stomp of his foot, which made the teens and adults laugh at his cuteness a second time.
"Why don't we all head inside?" Miss Clawthorne suggested with a light hum as her husband and everyone else followed her inside.
"The dinner I made is almost done baking in the oven."
"See, goldilocks?" Evelyn whispers to Caleb, playfully elbowing his shoulder. "My name and dad totally like you. You're a natural at being likeable."
She winks.
This caused Caleb to chuckle at her as he smiled, slight blush on his cheeks.

descendants dr (rs with other vks)
Mal: so were basically kinda similar from the personality type (in my cr as well tbh haha if you put out the social anxiety and shit) so we clash sometimes but were like sisters and she sometimes thinks im naïve and tries to take advantage of me (like with the love spell thing e.g. or the whole wand plan in general) but I look right through that and she respects that lmao doesn’t stop her from trying tho.
Evie: she and i are good friends but like her and mal are a bit closer bcs they got to know each other earlier but were kinda like a trio (evie and I bond a lot over that we both like auradon opposite to mal in the first 2 movies). Also we both share the love for like clothes and taking the time to look put together iykwim?
Carlos: hes like a little brother to me, we all know Cruella treats him like a slave and my mom ignores me completely so we bond over that and also idk he just reminds me of my sibling lmao
Jay: idk before the movies happen were kinda friends of friends aka we know each other bcs my friends are also friends with him (sounds a bit mean now that I say it out loud) like we still get along and stuff but were not like friends yk? I don’t really like the womanizer thing he has going on (I find it childish haha sorry not sorry) and he doesn’t really like that im ‘stuck up and hate fun’ (his words not mine). once were through all that shit we grow closer together tho.
Uma: she used to be friends with mal and when mal and her fell out she by extension started to hate me and everyone else bcs we didn’t drop mal for her (I know a person like that in rl and believe me its not fun) I tried to stay friendly with her bcs friends are hard to come across on the isle but she just completely cut me off and ignored me
Harry: used to have a crush on me which is also why hes so keen on slicing ben open lmao he was a bit creepy like too straight forward and wouldn’t take no for an answer (idk he just strikes me as the type tbh)

Summer of Like // Farleigh Start x OC (2)
I’ve always known that Saltburn was huge - Venetia had never even tried to pretend that she wasn’t insanely rich and lived in basically a castle - but I didn’t understand just how huge it was until I’m standing in front of it, travel bag in hand as the driver slows to a stop in front of the massive oak doors.
“Jesus, V…” I say, eyes locked on the monstrous house. Suddenly I feel very small, and wish that I’d just stuck to my guns and fought harder to go home. I don’t know this place - nor do I know these people, outside of Venetia. But I’m already here, so I swallow my nerves and get out of the car when the driver opens the door. I almost reach back into the car to grab my bags before Venetia stops me.
“Don’t worry about those, the footmen will bring them up.” She says, grabbing my hand and tugging me towards the house. “You have to meet everyone, and I’ll show you around - I asked Mum to tell the maids to set you up in the room across the hall from mine, so we’ll be close.” Excitement exudes from her like sweat, and it’s a little infectious - I find myself grinning as we bound up the front steps together.
The massive doors open, revealing a stoic looking man in a butler’s uniform. “Venetia. Welcome home.”
“Yes, hello Duncan.” Venetia chirps. “So wonderful to see you again - how have you been?” She asks, still holding my hand. “Oh- this is my friend, Evie- I don’t know if Mum told you that she was coming along-”
The butler - Duncan - nods. “Yes of course, all the staff was informed - welcome as well, Miss Evelyn.”
The use of my full name - and the formal ‘Miss’ attached make the feeling that I don’t belong here even stronger. “Oh, um, thank you. You don’t have to bother with that ‘Miss’ stuff - just Evie is fine.”
Duncan nods again, just as stiffly as before. “Of course.” He steps just outside of the frame of the doors, and sweeps an arm forward, silently welcoming us in. Hands still clasped with mine, Venetia leads me inside with a smile.
The inside of the house is just as lavish as the outside, though I don’t have much time to take it all in as Venetia tugs me along. There’s too much to see - portraits and sculptures and rare books and antique furniture, all interspersed with the kind of clutter that you could find in any home. It’s a little jarring but I don’t give it too much thought, too busy being pulled along by Venetia.
“Mum and Dad are likely in the library.” She says. “I really think Mum will be so glad to meet you, she’s always gone on about how anyone I want to bring back here is more than welcome - she’ll be so excited.”
I feel out of place here, sure, but I’ve never seen Venetia so happy. I think I was right in assuming that she was a little jealous of her brother bringing home a new friend every summer - and maybe a little pressured to do the same, if what she’s saying about her mom is true. I’m happy to be here for her, if nothing else, and that feeling is enough to force the strangeness of being at Saltburn aside.
It turns out the library isn’t much of a library at all, as Venetia slows to a stop in what seems to be more of a living room than a study. A large couch takes up the center of the room, facing a TV against the wall. Sprawled on the couch is an elegant woman with long blonde hair, and the kind of face you’d find in a magazine. I can see bits of Venetia in her face - the sharpness of her cheekbones, the slope of her nose. Venetia’s mother.
Next to her, a woman smokes a cigarette, dressed head to toe in black. Her bright red hair and heavy eye makeup seem almost like a mask for the rest of her face, her style distracting anyone from looking too close. The way she sits on the couch, perched all the way at the edge, makes me think that she also might be like me - a guest.
In the back of the room, perched at a table by one of the windows, an older man leafs through a newspaper, reading glasses perched on his nose. I can see some of Venetia in him too - the way he purses his lips as he reads, how his foot gently swings back and forth where he’s crossed his legs.
Venetia’s mother is the first to notice our arrival, leaping up from the sofa with outstretched arms. “Oh, Venetia darling, you’re home!”
Venetia drops my hand in favor of hugging her mother. I stand to the side as they embrace, and the other woman on the couch smiles at me. I return the gesture.
“And you’ve brought a friend, oh how lovely!” Venetia’s mother turns to me. “I’m Elspeth, you must be Evelyn…” Her gaze sweeps down, and then back up to my face. “Venetia neglected to mention how beautiful you are, my…” She runs a hand along the side of my head, sweeping up one of the shorter curls that frame my face. “What beautiful hair… and you’re so gorgeously tan, darling, what are you?”
It takes me a moment to register exactly what she’s asking, and for a moment I simply look at her. “My family’s Italian.” I say. “Well- American, but Italian.”
“That explains it then - Italian, how romantic.” She says. “Before I met James, one of my girlfriends was Italian - I was a lesbian for a while, you know - Sofia, her name was. Gorgeous, gorgeous woman. Bit of a gambling problem but oh, how pretty.”
She retreats back to the sofa, taking her place in the middle of the cushions again, but not sprawling this time. Elspeth pats the spaces on either side of her and smiles. “Come sit down, my sweets, there’s so much catching up we have to do - oh, Evelyn this is a dear friend of mine, Pamela, who’s been staying with us for a while, and that there is my husband James, doing the crossword.”
At the mention of his name, James looks up from his paper. “Does anyone have a six letter word for ‘poor’?”
“Six letter word for poor…” Elspeth muses.
“Poor’s only got four letters.” Pamela chimes in, cigarette smoke hovering in a haze around her head.
I trade a look with Venetia, and she stifles a grin as she plops down on the sofa next to her mother.
“In need?” I offer aloud. It’s technically two words but six letters…
I watch as James pencils in the letters from the couch. “In need, yes that works perfectly.” He says. “Thank you, erm…” He trails off as he looks up from his page at me.
“Evelyn.” Elspeth adds.
“Evelyn, yes.” He says. “Clever, that.” He peers over the top of his glasses at me, silently assessing for a moment, and then smiles. “How splendid that Venetia brought a friend along.”
I smile at him before Elspeth steals my attention again, a gentle hand coming to rest on my thigh. “And where in America are you from, my dear?”
“New York.” I say. “Brooklyn.”
Over her mother’s shoulder I watch Venetia mouth ‘New Yawk’ with a teasing grin.
“Oh, yes, I’ve been to the city once or twice - Manhattan, mostly, - but I’ve heard that Brooklyn is full of creatives.” Elspeth says.
“Um,” I can’t help but think of my friends from NYU, who thought it was a great idea to name their band Chlamydiot. “Yeah.”
“Evie’s family’s got mafia ties.” Venetia chimes in, pulling a cigarette from the box that lives in her pocket and tucking it between her lips. My own lips fall into a thin line. I’d known Venetia was going to bring it up at some point, it’s her favorite party trick of mine-
“Oh really?” Elspeth/s eyebrows shoot upward, and she looks excitedly towards Pamela. “Now that’s something - like your Russian billionaire, Pamela, isn’t that right? Except, the Russian mafia, of course.”
“Yes, I think that’s right.” Pamela says. She pauses. “Though I’m not quite sure what the Russian word for mafia is…”
Elspeth turns back towards me, with a large smile. “Tell me more about that, darling!”
“It’s not - we’re not in the mafia.” I say, a little embarrassed under all the sudden attention. I glance towards Venetia, and she smiles, proud, like she’s showing off a prized pony. “My grandfather, on my mom’s side, was, uh - he was the head of the Giordano family, but then he got assassinated in his living room and the Giordano family got absorbed into the Barbieri family.”
“In the living room, you say?” James perks up from his crossword. “And is the house still-?”
“My parents still live in that house, yeah.” I say.
“How ghastly!” Elspeth says, in a tone that seems to say she doesn’t think it’s ghastly at all, but rather exciting.
I glance again at Venetia, but her focus is locked on her mother, absorbing every reaction she gives as she puffs on her cigarette. I’d had a hunch that she asked me here to show off to her family, to say ‘look, I do have friends’, but this confirms it. I’m not surprised, nor am I upset - to be friends with Venetia Catton is to be an accessory, but a loved accessory at that. Right now, I am her favorite pair of Louboutin heels, and in return, I will get to experience what it’s like to be part of her, to be here at Saltburn, to get a taste of this lavish life she leads.
And I am fine with that.

-Unlike her mother, Sofía was blessed on her fifth birthday with a magical gift, joining the rest of the Madrigal family. Sofía has the gift of light, meaning she can create, cease & manipulate it, making her the family’s real life miracle candle. Theater Kid HC's
Have some headcanons for my theater kid babies! @artzychic27 @imsparky2002
As the class name may suggest, they all have a passion for theater, fitting since they’re the homeroom class of the school’s theater teacher. They’re always involved in the school’s drama productions, whether as crew or cast members. As a result, they’re all pretty close to Jean and Mylene.
Keep it well in mind, the only nickname Dorothy is okay with being addressed by is “Dot”. Heed this warning if you value your life, call her “Dotty” and she will make you suffer.
Due to the hectic current state of Paris, Ayesha leads the class in meditation sessions to help them manage their stress. It’s helped keep the akumatization rate of their class down, more so than some other classes. Ayesha also serves as the class therapist, listening whenever someone needs a shoulder to cry on.
Soo-Yeon is the unquestioned dad of the class, and takes his role very seriously. He keeps spare snacks and first aid supplies in his backpack and keeps track of everyone during class outings, and also provides pretty good advice in difficult situations. He also just has dad vibes.
Candace is the Class Mom to See-Yeon’s Class Dad (They may or may not have small secret crushes on each other, but no matter). She keeps tabs on everyone, making sure they’re safe, and helping them stay on track with their assignments. She also keeps a list of everyone’s triggers on hand at all times.
Jesse is without a doubt the baby of the class, and everyone is extremely protective of him, helping him to stay calm and happy. If anyone upsets him, they will pay dearly. (The same goes for his besties, Mylene and Jean, who both went feral on an asshole who pushed him into a panic attack. It was terrifying.)
Anais often gets way too wrapped up in her projects and school work due to pressure from their parents and doesn’t get near as much rest as it should. Her classmates can tell when they’ve pulled an all-nighter and make sure it gets proper rest and eats any missed meals.
Margo loves to use her talent for DIY to make all sorts of little accessories and presents for her friends. It’s her love language, the giving of gifts and she lights up when she sees how much they love what she makes!
The combination of Eri’s overly dramatic and formal manner of speaking and her tendency to slip into her native Japanese can at times make her difficult to understand, but her classmates have mastered interpreting what she says and relaying it to others.
When an akuma attack occurs, their number one priority is staying together and keeping everyone safe. They do a head count every few minutes and have several protocols to keep everyone calm.
Candace, Staci and Margo are all on the cheer squad together, and sort of form a benevolent, non-antagonistic version of the Plastics, (Jean actually calls them “The Nice Heathers”) in a way. Candace is kind of like end-of-movie Regina, channeling her frustrations into cheer but still a nice person. Staci is a much snarkier Gretchen, she knows a LOT but doesn’t use it against people, and Margo is basically a sweetheart, Karen, but like, with a brain.
Brecken cares enormously for animals of all shapes and sizes, hence him frequently volunteering at the animal shelter one of his moms manages and his desire to be a veterinarian. He also frequently takes care of injured animals and has even snuck them into the school on more than one occasion, with the help of Kim.
Everyone in the class ships Brecken/Evie and Jesse/Anthony, and had a very difficult time keeping it on the down low, and threw class parties when each couple got together. Both couples were embarrassed but also touched.
The class worries a lot about Mona, not necessarily because of her handicap but because their head is always in the clouds and they’re rarely paying full attention. They all like to check in on her throughout the day and pull them back to earth so they don’t accidentally roll down the stairs.
Roxie has a very high number of detentions due to getting into fights defending their friends. They just find it difficult to hold their temper when someone they care about is being threatened.
Mme. Winters is one of the biggest Mama Bears in the entire faculty. She is extremely proud of her students and their work, and will not tolerate any disrespect. She keeps fidgets on hand for Jesse and Anais, makes sure Brecken has the help he needs, has bandages on hand for Soo-Yeon and Aggie, etc. This also extends to other classes, she does NOT tolerate bullying of any kind. (Even Chloé is scared of her)

Let's Get High and Play Truth or Dare
Setting: Yvette's Place Time: Just after the Winter Event Featuring: Beverly, Edgar (@edgarwayne), Yvette (@callofthxvoid), and Nathan (@ghostsbrokenbyfairytales)
Summary: In an attempt to cross something off Beverly's list and have a little fun, the group got together at Yvette's to get a little high and goof off. Waiting for the "cookies" to kick in, Bev had then suggested that they should play a little truth or dare so she could mark off two things at once... Chaos definitely ensued for everyone involved and certain realizations were made. It made for one unforgettable event.
Edgar: It was impossible to sit still in Yvette's living room. While the smell of cookies was enticing, and his friend promised wine to help ease the nerves, Edgar paced around the room. It was probably going to be fine. Totally fine. But he'd never done anything like this before and it was nervewracking. Hell, even bringing the bag of weed to work so he could give it to Yvette after hours left Edgar fingering his inhaler throughout the day. This was for Bev, he reminded himself. Technically for himself too, to help with the winter aches, but putting his friend first made it a little easier.
Beverly: Beverly watched Edgar pace and clasped her hands in her lap as they waited. This was all so strange. Cursing and skinny dipping was one thing, but she had always been told such nightmares about any kind of drug. She knew parts of what she was told were lies and she really seemed so confident before this but now she was here. It was really happening. As glad as she was to be doing this with friends, she was nervous too. “Edgar, you’re going to make me dizzy,” she said with a laugh, giving a glance to Nathan then back to Edgar. “Does anyone know how many we’re supposed to eat? Can you be allergic? I— I have questions here.” She really was breaking bad and it was all so strange.
Yvette: Yvette was used to being the wild child in any group that she was in. She was the rebel in her family, the free spirit in her college friend group, and the slightly eccentric mom at the PTA meetings, when those had still been a part of her life. "I made the cookies less potent than I would have if I was baking for an experienced group," she said in response to Bev's question, setting down the large plate of baked goods on the coffee table. "I still wouldn't advice having too many at once though. Eat one, wait for it to kick in, and go from there." She directed her gaze between her three companions for the evening. "Can I get you guys anything else?"
Nathan: nathan was half tempted to pull edgar down next to him while he watched him pace the room, he'd seen him this nervous for only a few different reasons but trying an edible wasn't one. "yeah basically what she already said, just take the one for now and if you think you can take a second one cause you're not feeling the first one... don't listen to that little voice. trust me." he chuckled and remembered back when he still lived in vegas, how weed was the drug he started with and spiraled from there so to say he was also a little nervous was an understatement.
Edgar: Edgar gave everyone an apologetic look as he forced himself to sit down. He took a cookie and stared at it, as if hoping it would contain the answers to all his questions. "How....how do you know when it's 'kicked in'? How long does that take?" Hesitantly he took a bite out of it, mulling the flavor. It tasted normal, perhaps a little bitter but overall just like a regular cookie. "So um...what do we do while we wait for it?" He looked back up to Yvette. "And maybe that glass of wine. Just to....take the edge off a little. Thank you though, Evie, for making these." His tone and expression was sincere.
Beverly: Beverly locked arms with Edgar as he sat down with them. She couldn’t help it, she was nervous, and he was in the same boat as her it seemed. She picked up a cookie after him and waited just a moment for the answer to his question from Nathan or Yvette. She honestly was confused about that too. Letting out a breath, she glanced up at the ceiling. She wasn’t sure what exactly she was looking for, but she knew how good it felt to distance herself from her parents, her upbringing, and her ex-fiancé. So, she took a bite, humming at the interesting flavor. “Well,” she said, covering her mouth as she chewed and swallowed. “In the spirit of doing teenage things, we could play truth or dare? That might be fun? It would take an extra one off my list too.” “Mmm! Yes. Wine. That’ll help with the game too maybe. Thank you.” She needed to feel something a little familiar. “That wouldn’t affect the high in any way, would it?”
Yvette: Yvette let out a soft 'ah!' before disappearing into the kitchen to fetch the wine. "Keep talking, I'm still listening!" she called out from the other room, picking up the bottle of wine, a bottle of water, and four glasses before heading back into the living room. "I'm up for playing Truth or Dare if you are. God, that brings me back to high school. My friends and I used to give some mean dares to each other." Setting the bottles and glasses down, she picked up a cookie and dropped down horizontally into her armchair, throwing her legs over the armrest as she bit into the cookie. "Hmm, you could get crossfaded," she explained in response to Beverly's question. "But if you only have a glass for nerves then you should be fine."
Nathan: the mention of wine made nathan tense up slightly, sure he wanted to drink and with anyone else a glass would be fine but he knew himself and decided it was best not to. “i’ll stick to water and the cookies for myself,” he said chuckling as he picked one up. taking a bite the taste was all too familiar, throwing an arm around the back of the couch to stop himself from doing any pda with edgar. “oh trust me you’ll know when it’s kicked in, the affects aren’t major but you’ll still be able to tell.” his eyebrow raised at the mention of truth or dare, giving a small shrug. “i’m down to play too, don’t think i’ve played since high school like yvette,” he said chuckling again. “i’m not good with coming up with shit on the spot so if i give anything stupid you’ve been warned already.”
Nathan: Feeling Nathan tense up beside him Edgar reached to squeeze his knee. "Well, we know who were the cool kids in this room," he teased lightly. "I've never played. Are we...supposed to spin a bottle or do we just pick someone?" He took another bite of the cookie, this time a larger portion, before taking a sip of the wine, forcing his shoulders to relax. It certainly helped to wash out the weird aftertaste of the cookie.
Beverly: Beverly giggled. “I was actually pretty popular in high school at least… Not that it means much because here I am, but I was prom queen my senior year.” Popular was definitely different than cool, however, that was overtly obvious at the moment. “It wouldn’t be a real game of truth or dare with mean and stupid dares so I expect the best out of both of you.” She took another bite of her cookie and nodded at Yvette’s advice, taking a nice sip of wine. One glass would probably be just fine. “As far as I know, we can go around clockwise or spin a bottle! However you both played in high school.”
Yvette: Yvette had another bite of her cookie. "Oh, I have every intention of giving you the authentic experience," she grinned, glancing at Bev before directing her attention to Nathan. "Don't worry, you're in good company. I'll be sticking to the water and cookies myself. At least for now." Partially it was because she didn't want Nathan to feel weird about not drinking, and partially it was because she felt responsible for making sure that Edgar and Bev were alright, given that it was their first time. "So, the way I usually played was that whoever did the Truth or Dare got to pick the next person. But I'm the host, so I'm going to get us started." She polished off her cookie. "Bev, Truth or Dare?"
Beverly: Beverly wasn't nervous at all... Well, maybe a little but she was sure that was a part of the fun. And at least she had both Nathan and Yvette to look after her. Somehow, that made it all easier. "Mmm! Okay! I like that." She finished off her first cookie, believing it wouldn't be her first, but here she was. "Oh! Me? I guess that does make sense... I'll say truth. Ease myself in."
Yvette: Yvette shifted in the armchair, leaning forward and tucking her legs underneath herself, head resting in the palm of her hand as she considered what to ask Bev. "Okay, I've got one," she said eventually, grinning at her friend. "What's going on with you and Mr. Blonde Ranger?"
Beverly: Beverly sipped from her wine, feeling a little more comfortable as time went on.... Though that all changed back very quickly as the truth question came out. "Oh-- Um, Elijah?" She asked, as if she didn't already know. She swallowed hard. "We made a snowman at the ice skating party? He's a great partner there." She didn't quite understand saying the full truth here.
Edgar: Edgar rolled his eyes at Bev. "Are we doing a penalty for a bullshit answer?" He looked pointedly at his friend before finishing the last of his cookie.
Yvette: Yvette had similarly rolled her eyes at the exact same time as Edgar. "I wasn't going to, but I feel like we have to if it's that much of a bullshit answer, right?" she agreed, looking back at Edgar. "As the one who suggested it, I nominate you as the distributor of the penalty."
Edgar: Oh god, he wasn't expecting to be in charge of penalties. Like Edgar said, he wasn't exactly the cool kid growing up, he'd never played games like this. Frantically he thought through Bev's bucket list. Oh. That could work. With slightly tinged cheeks he said with as much confidence as he could muster "strip penalty."
Beverly: Beverly wasn't at all expecting there to be a punishment. She thought it worked because she was saying something mostly true. Her eyes went back and forth between all three of them, furrowing her brows. "Oh, come on, it was mostly true." But now her attention was all on Edgar's punishment. "Edgar!" She said, stunned. "I-- how much do I have to strip here? Do I have to do a little dance? Then say the whole truth or whatever? Or can I just say the whole truth now." She had questions and red cheeks.
Edgar: Edgar's eyes widenned as so many questions went his way. Shit, it's not like he really thought it through. "Um....you just take off one piece of clothing unless you give the real answer. Right?" He looked desperately to Nathan and Yvette, feeling completely out of his league.
Nathan: nathan looked between the two and back at edgar, holding a hand up in defense. “the only stripping that happened when i played truth or dare was when it was on the dare, yvette’s gonna have to confirm that one not me.”
Yvette: Yvette considered the situation before delivering her judgement with the same gravitas as if she were handing down a sentence at trial. "Yes, you can choose between losing one item of clothing or telling the whole truth," she concluded. "Think of the stripping as a... Chicken tax. It's the tax you pay if you want to be a chicken and not answer properly."
Beverly: Raising a brow, Beverly let out a breath and nodded. "Fineeee," she said, pulling her shirt over her head. It wasn't much of a problem to be in a bra when she just went skinny dipping with the guy she was answering about. "He's incredibly hot and funny and he could pound me into my headboard until I see God..." She took a sip of her wine after that joke. "On a serious note, I have a giant crush on him."
Edgar: Edgar's own brows shot up, face warming up not only at what Bev said but also at her still stripping. God, why did he suggest this? He cleared out his throat. "We're all rooting for you Bevvie. Now pick someone."
Beverly: Edgar's reaction was the highlight of the punishment. She just wished she wasn't so cold all the time. Smiling, she tilted her head at Edgar. "Thank you. Trying my best but my brain is a mess... Edgar. Truth or dare."
Edgar: He blinked, surprised Bev picked him next. "Um...truth?"
Beverly: Bev smiled to herself, doing her best to think of something challenging. "What's a secret you've never told anyone?"
Edgar: His brows furrowed in thought. What was a secret he's never told anyone? Well...wasn't really a secret per se but it's not like he really shared it either. "Well, uh, out there," he gestures to the 'rest of the world,' "I'm....really stupidly rich. Like the sole heir to an estate rich. I had most of the money put into real estate and stocks to keep it going, plus I donate quite a bit into charities. But. Uh, yeah. I guess you could say I come from a line of aristocrats." He shrugged. "Anyway, Nathan, truth or dare."
Nathan: "uhh," well that was sure as hell a lot to process, keeping his gaze on the water bottle in his hand. "i guess continue the pattern and give me a truth?"
Edgar: When Nathan didn't meet his gaze Edgar tried to not let it bother him. Did...did that secret unnerve the other man. He tried to swallow, his mouth starting to feel a bit dry. He downed the rest of his wine. "What made you realize you were bi?"
Nathan: nathans gaze shifted from the water bottle to edgars legs, moving his arm from the couch to around his shoulder and gave it a squeeze. "i.. don't actually know." he chuckled and finally looked up at him and only him. "kind of a cop out response i know but i genuinely don't remember what made me realize, i just know i've always liked men and women so."
Edgar: Edgar pouted at that reply. "Is that strip worthy? That feels strip worthy." Still, he smiled at the shoulder squeeze, anxiety clearing up.
Nathan: he rolled his eyes playfully and shrugged, "i figured it would be." he chuckled and moved his arm for a moment, taking his shirt off quickly and putting it in his lap as he put the arm wrapped back around his shoulder. "so yvette, truth or dare?
Yvette: Yvette shifted in the armchair, looking completely at ease in spite of the now two shirtless people in the room, before glancing over at Nathan when he addressed her. "Well, someone has to be the one to break the streak here," she started, reaching for a glass to pour herself some water. "Dare."
Nathan: well shit, now he’s gotta think of a dare. “uh,” nathan didn’t think that far ahead as he scoured the files in his brain for a dare that wouldn’t be inappropriate, “i dare you too…” he glanced at edgar now, “help me out?”
Edgar: Edgar raised his brows, not knowing why Nathan was looking to him for suggesetions. Let alone being put on the spot, his mind was drawing complete blanks. He absently wondered if he was starting to 'feel' the cookie. Shit, what were normal teenager dares? "Uh...make out with Bev?"
Beverly: Beverly was just happy the attention was off her for a moment. It was so cute to see Edgar and Nathan together. She sat in anticipation for the dare and finished her wine, only for her eyes to get big. She swallowed her wine down hard. “I’m sorry?” She said, her cheeks burning bright red. Well that escalated quickly again for her.
Edgar: Edgar's eyes only managed to get wider as his panicked suggestion caught up with him. "I-if that's okay? Fuck I don't know. You're asking the guy that's never played this!" He held up his hands in self-defense, face red.
Yvette: Yvette glanced between the people in front of her before shrugging. "Well, I do have a boyfriend, but seeing as he recently got into a fight with a movie star for sleeping with his fiancé, I think I'm allowed a pass," she reasoned, seeming quite calm about the whole thing. "I'm okay with it if you're okay with it." She looked at Bev with a questioning expression.
Beverly: Beverly was confused how she was so calm about this compared to her. Then again, maybe Yvette hadn’t had intrusive thoughts about this like she had. Shaking her head from the thought, Bev shrugged, pretending to suddenly be calm. “I’m fine, it’s only a dare,” she said, holding her hands in her lap politely. “All you. Whatever you wanna do.”
Yvette: Yvette smiled, glancing over at Edgar and Nathan before getting up from the armchair and stepping closer, using one arm to support herself against the back of the couch. With her other hand, she gently tucked a strand of hair behind Bev's ear before cupping her cheek. "Remember, you can pull away at any time and I won't be offended," she said, before leaning in to kiss her.
Edgar: Edgar felt the strong need to look away, turning instead to glance at Nathan. He felt like his face was on fire, though the cookie may have had a part in it.
Beverly: Beverly's eyes were only on Yvette as she got up moved closer, only glancing to see where her arm was at the moment. She blinked, her cheeks bright and warm as her hair was tucked behind ear then leaned into her palm. "Yeah. Yeah of course," she stated softly, closing her eyes as the gap closed and she was left to gently touch Yvette arm to stay steady.
Edgar: Just to remind the women they were still there, Edgar politely cleared his throat as he filled his glass with water. "So uh...your turn to pick someone Evie. By the way, I'm starting to feel....tingly? Is that a thing?"
Yvette: Yvette kissed Beverly softly, slowly deepening the kiss as her hand moved from her friend's cheek to the back of her neck, until she heard Edgar clear his throat. Pulling back, she smiled at Bev before turning to look at her other best friend. "It was your idea," she quipped back, picking up her glass of water and sitting back down in the armchair. "But tingly is good. Tingly means you're getting there. Which I guess is as a good a time as any to say: Eddie, truth or dare?"
Edgar: "I don't even know why it was my idea," he whined. "Daaa-truth." A dare from Yvette was terrifying and she nearly got it out of him.
Beverly: Beverly sighed softly into her friend's lips, her mind becoming mush for the moment until Yvette pulled back. She was smiling and it was definitely not a conscious effort. For a moment, she was processing then nodded to her friends. "I think-- I think I like both? Both. Both is good," she giggled, definitely feeling tingly and high herself. "Now that was a kiss, everyone. That's how it's done."
Yvette: Yvette glanced at Bev and offered her a playful wink. "Hey, anytime, that's what friends are for," she commented with a grin, before looking back at Edgar. "Chicken, but okay. Hmm..." Leaning forward, she broke a cookie in half and sat back down, nibbling at it as she pondered. She had a thought, but that one seemed a little too mean even for her. "What's the worst date you've ever been on?"
Edgar: He suddenly burst into laughter at the wink, surprise coloring his features as he covered his mouth. "Sorry. Sorry. I just - all this time I pushed for you two to get boyfriends. Never considered the other option." His laughter spilled past his hand. Okay, so maybe he was feeling the weed now. It took him a while to calm down before he blinked back at Yvette, trying to remember the question. "Oh, right. Uh, oh! God, I know. It was back in college. One of the first real dates I'd ever been on, which okay, it was the early 2000s so I'll give the guy some slack. But anyway, I was so excited, trying to think up all the different things we could do, places we could go. Instead we just walked to the chippy down the road from campus. When he told me that was the plan I burst out laughing thinking he was teasing me. I mean, that's where everyone goes for lunch, why would he choose that for a date. But nope, he was totally serious. Even got mad at me for laughing." It took him a moment to realize his friends were staring at him. "Oh oh right, a chippy's a...kind of like a taco truck, but for fish and chips." Edgar tilted his head at the other half of the cookie on the plate. "Can....I take it? Is that okay?"
Nathan: nathan stared at edgar for a moment, blinking a few times as it all processed. "that... really? there's literally so much he could've done and he chose that?" he shook his head, he didn't think he was the romantic type most the time but he would've done more than that. he chuckled as he shook his head then looked at the cookie, "oh that's fine with me if no one else wants it." he said taking a sip of his water.
Edgar: Edgar took the cookie half, shrugging. "Shocker we didn't date long. Alright Bevvie, your turn. Truth or Dare?"
Beverly: "Mmm, why are some men so--" Beverly glanced at the ceiling then shrugged. "--Bland?" Either way, it brought a smile to her face that Nathan wouldn't give Edgar the bare minimum. She sat up in her seat, preparing herself this time. "I have to try it at least once. Dare."
Edgar: Edgar pouted slightly at that. "Hey, we're not bland. Well....okay, he's not bland" he points to Nathan. Actually, he was glad Bev picked dare. For anyone else it would have been silly, but he had the perfect one for her. "Say every single swear word you can think of loud and proud." He bit into the cookie with a smile.
Beverly: "That's why I say some. You both are exceptions." Beverly brought her knees up to her chest, being that she was a little cold at this point. "Oh, you know I have never said every single one," she said, sighing. "Fuck, shit, piss, ass, asshole, whore, dick..." She furrowed her brows, "Did... Did I get them all? I don't even know at this point." She was also just blushing. It was very much not her.
Edgar: Edgar shook his head with a smile. "Aw c'mon Bevvie, you can think of more than that. And louder. Like you mean it."
Beverly: Beverly frowned, letting out a very deep breath. "Damn. Bastard. Bitch. That's a good one. Goddamn! Son of a bitch... oh! This is bullshit. Motherfucker. Bloody Hell." she said that one with a smirk at Edgar. "Twat? Yeah? Yeah... I guess that leaves the big C?" That one bugged her the most. "Mmm, cunt. There. I think that's it now." It was like they had all just been stored like files in her brain.
Edgar: His smile grew into a grin. "Think that covers all of them. Your turn to pick someone."
Beverly: She was just about a tomato, but hey, that was a fourth one done here... She was making major progress. With a smug smile, she turned. "Nathan. Truth or dare?"
Nathan: nathan was a bit zoned out when he heard his name, looking behind edgar’s head at beverly. “truth, only cause i don’t want to move.”
Beverly: Beverly took a moment to think and then it came to her. Might as well cause a little havoc. “What are your true honest feelings for our dear husband, Edgar?”
Edgar: Edgar quickly looked over at Nathan. "Y-you can strip if you're more comfortable. I won't be upset."
Nathan: he paused for a moment, slowly looking at edgar with a smile and gave the smallest of shrugs. “that one day i wanna make him my actual husband. that he makes me the happiest i’ve ever been with anyone i’ve ever been with before and i don’t want to lose that feeling. ever. that he’s the smartest most kindest and understanding man who makes me want to be a better person. i don’t think i’ve ever loved and trusted someone the way i do edgar, he makes it so easy.” nathan chuckled and to break up the sappy with a joke that wasn’t really a joke but still more truth, “and he’s great in bed so that’s a plus.” he smirked at him but that quickly changed into a grin.
Edgar: He tried his best to blink back tears as he stared at Nathan in shock. His throat felt tight as he tried to say something, anything until a strangled laugh escaped him at Nathan's last comment. "Really? That's how you end it?" Wiping at his face with one hand, he put down the glass of water before fully turning back to Nathan, grabbing his face, and pulling him into a kiss. Nothing extreme, but enough to tell Nathan what he thought of all that.
Nathan: he laughed when edgar did, ending it like that on purpose because if the tears he already knew were gonna form. “couldn’t help myself, it’s not like i was lying.” clearly he wasn’t gonna go into details that’s for him and edgar to know about. the kiss was unexpected but he gladly kissed back, still not used to any form of pda with edgar because of figuring out where the others comfort level was at. pulling away with a smile he let his fingers run through the back of his hair then looked at yvette, “alright miss principal, truth or dare?”
Yvette: Yvette watched the whole scene unfolding between Nathan and Edgar with a big, dorky smile on her face, occasionally glancing at Bev to see if she was having a similar reaction to it. After the kiss, she held her cookie half between her lips before clapping. "Damn, that's some real sappy shit, but it works for both of you," she commented, holding the cookie again and taking a bite out of it. "Hmmm... Well, you all have been honest, or at least most of you, so I'll go with truth this time."
Nathan: nathan rolled his eyes playfully at her, his cheeks turning a very light shade of pink. he was used to being sappy to edgar privately but not in front of people. “alright truth then,” he paused for a second to think this time trying not to use edgar as a cop out (sorry bev), “what’s a secret you’ve never told anyone?”
Yvette: Yvette tilted her head to the side as she considered Nathan's question. A few options sprang to mind, but every time she thought that she knew what to say, she remembered that she had already told that particular secret to someone—usually someone in this room, or... Reggie... "I'm still in love with my husband," she blurted out, before slamming her hand in front of her mouth. "I mean... My ex-husband. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy he's happy, and I'm happy in my relationship, and I want to move on, but..." She shrugged. "You don't just say those vows to someone and then forget about them. I meant them, and there's a part of me that probably always will."
Nathan: “shit.” nathan mumbled when yvette spilled that secret and felt a little bad about asking that specific question now. he looked at the other two unsure of what to say, those two knew her better than he did anyway and felt it was best to let one of them take the reigns on saying something.
Beverly: Beverly swallowed hard, overwhelmed a little with her answer and what precisely to say. At least she had corrected herself quickly, right? She gave the other girl a smile. "I don't think there's anything wrong with that," Bev stated softly, holding her hands in her lap. "When you make those vows, it's a promise. A deep dedication to someone..." She started and then shrugged. "You lose a piece of yourself when you leave something serious like that. It becomes part of your history and always will be. It's okay to love someone and want the best for them but know they served their purpose in your life and now you're in a new chapter."
Edgar: Quietly Edgar got off the couch and walked behind the armchair Yvette was sitting on so he could place his chin on her head and give her the best of a hug as he could in such an awkward position. "Your feelings are normal Evie. I'm glad you both have your own happiness now and I hope it stays that way. You know, a part of me still cares about Christian, and I can admit he doesn't even deserve it. We can't help it when someone's been in our life for a long time; it's hard to erase the past." Hoping to elevate the mood a bit he added, "I'll take that dare now."
Yvette: Yvette wondered idly if she would have confessed that if she hadn't been high. A part of her felt like stripping would have been preferable, but another part of her was almost relieved to have said it out loud, her whole being feeling lighter for the secret being out there. Reaching up, she gave Edgar's arm a brief squeeze before smiling at everyone in the room. "Thank you all," she said softly, before letting out a short laugh. "Okay, I think it goes without saying that everything said here never leaves this room." Glancing up at Edgar, she had a mischievous look in her eyes as she tilted her head to the side. "Hmm, a good dare for Eddie... Well, I would dare you to make out with Nathan to get you back, but where's the fun in that?"
Edgar: Edgar rolled his eyes, letting go of Yvette to stand up straight and cross his arms. "Oh c'mon, that's barely a dare...minus the publicness of it. But I'm probably high enough it wouldn't even bother me. I agree to one dare and that's the best you guys give me?" Was he going to regret that? Probably.
Yvette: Yvette laughed and shrugged. "Okay, but remember, you asked for it," she replied. "There is a Truth or Dare classic that we haven't done yet. Prank calls." She look at Edgar. "Edgar, I dare you to prank call... Hmm... Marco. Or you can forfeit, but you know the rules if you do."
Edgar: He blinked in surprise. "Oh um, okay. But....can I get help? I think the cookies are really hitting. My mind is completely blank." Thinking about it, he raised his hands and looked at them in surprise. "Huh. The pain is pretty much gone too. Still stiff...but I don't really feel the usual aches."
Nathan: “you can prank call him and just tell some random ass story and then hang up before he can say anything? it’d be funny if he asks you about it next time and you can just pretend you don’t know what he’s talking about.” nathan suggested.
Beverly: "I actually think that's a great idea," Beverly said, holding in some laughter. For some reason, she found it all very funny. "We could all play along with it at that point."
Edgar: Edgar looked down at Yvette, brows raised. She was the final voice on this.
Yvette: Yvette nodded. "The council has decreed it shall be so!" And then, with a grin, she gently nudged Edgar in the direction of her landline.
Edgar: Edgar picked up the phone, about to punch in the number, when he blinked and looked over his shoulder. "Do you know Marco's number?"
Yvette: Yvette did know Marco's number. However, Yvette had currently forgotten what Marco's number was, although she did remember that she had it written down somewhere. "Uhm... OH!" Getting to her feet, she held her hands out to steady herself, a brief 'woah' escaping her lips before she managed to scramble to her desk. Flipping through a notebook, she found the page with all of the staff members' landlines and brought it over to Edgar. "Ironically, I think it was Marco's idea that I keep this. Bet he's gonna regret that."
Edgar: He snickered as Yvette needed to steady herself. Guess even the experienced were feeling it. Edgar took the notebook and squinted in concentration as he input the numbers. He was still struggling to come up with a 'random ass story,' and didn't have any more time to dwell on it as the line picked up. "Marco, hi, did you know that tongues have unique prints?" He swallowed, trying to ignore the dryness in his mouth. "I wonder if that ever comes up at crime scenes. Like the investigators try to find tongue prints or they see some wet spots and figure they should collect the print just in case. Since they're so unique I wonder why there isn't a tongue print database. Dentists could probably keep track of it. They could solve crimes so easily like that...assuming it's something that even comes up that often. Although I wonder if multiple licks ruins the pattern and doesn't overlap like fingerprints since it's not a dry surface." At this point he was purely rambling, between being nervous, the weed, and genuinely not knowing what the hell he was supposed to be doing. As his ramble came to a lull Edgar's entire face lit up at what Marco said on the other line. "R-right. Of course. Have a good night Marco. See you on Monday." He hung up the receiver and let out a sigh, shoulders slumping. "That....was humiliating." Well, he wasn't even the one keeping a bucket list but now Edgar could say he prank called someone.
Nathan: nathan walked up to edgar and wrapped his arms around his waist from behind and put his chin on his shoulder. "that was i think the most randomest thing you've ever said where did that even come from?" he chuckled and shook his head a bit. "does this mean it's my turn?"
Edgar: He shook his ow head, though smiled at the hug. "I panicked. It was the first thing I could think of. I think technically it's Bev's turn." Edgar turned around to press a kiss to Nathan's cheek before nudging him back to the couch. "Truth or dare Bev?"
Beverly: Beverly had giggled plenty as Edgar went on and on. It was just great to see him doing something so silly. She hadn’t at all realized she hadn’t gone in a while. “Hmm? Me?” She asked, dazed but bubbly. “Mmm, I don’t think I want to move. So truth.”
Edgar: Edgar hummed in thought as he got comfortable on the couch, moving to sit against Nathan. "What is the most embarrassing thing you've ever experienced?"
Beverly: “The most embarrassing thing you’ve— i’ve ever experienced,” she mused, squinting her eyes as she searched through all her memories. “Oh! Okay. I hate this one. So, it’s kind of a thing in Utah to make out near the church? Or the temple on special occasions, see… And it was my first anniversary with Spencer— my ex-fiancé— and we decided to go because we were all hyped up on soda and emotions.” She paused, drawing in a deep breath so she wouldn’t start laughing early. “It started off all clumsy and terrible but then we were all serious and heavy and gross.” She shivered. “Anyway, one of my brothers was doing temple ordinances and he see’s the back of Spence’s car as he leaves. So he tries to get in the backseat… He opened the door to us and just cue the screaming from all parties.” She giggled to herself. “We couldn’t look at each other directly for almost a month.”
Edgar: Edgar shook his head in disbelief. "The same Bevvie who got caught skinny dipping says her most embarrassing moment is her brother finding her making out with her boyfriend. You're something else."
Beverly: “I was with a hot guy! I honestly thought that was gonna stay between him and I,” Beverly said, giggling still. “My brother seeing his sister like that was the WORST.”
Elijah: He let out his own laugh. "You keep saying how hot he is, I feel like I need to see him now."
Beverly: “Have I said that a lot? That doesn’t sound like me, sir.” She shrugged. “He’s a ranger, shouldn’t be hard to find.”
Nathan: “pffft, that’s it?” nathan chuckled while he was sat on the couch next to edgar again and let him get comfortable against him before wrapping his arm around his shoulder.
Edgar: Edgar turned to look at Nathan brows raised. "I'd say truth or dare but you Mr. Dawson haven't done a single dare." Was he being a little defensive for Bev's sake? Maybe. But it was a bonus to also rile up Nathan.
Beverly: “Yeah! What do you mean that’s it, mister sir I hadn’t even said all the curse words until tonight.” Beverly shook her head, much like a disappointed teacher. “Should I just give him a truth then? Since he’s not very much too daring?”
Nathan: “i mean it’s tame compared to some of the shit i’ve done embarrassing myself. it was supposed to be a compliment, came out funny my bad.” nathan chuckled and shook his head. “i was gonna pick dare anyway.” he teased knowing he can’t use the excuse of not moving though the only reason he had was because he was being clingy.
Edgar: Edgar grinned over to Bev, knowing they won. "It's all yours Bev. Gotta get back at him for the 'that's it.'"
Nathan: nathan raised an eyebrow. “yeah bev, do your worst.”
Beverly: “I don’t know if you’re ready for my worst,” Beverly teased, glancing up at the ceiling. Now she had something to prove. She tried to think of her list for something spicy and finally, there it was. “I dare you to give our dear friend Edgar a lap dance,” she stated proudly, smirking at the both of them.
Edgar: Edgar looked between Bev and Nathan, face growing darker by the second. "Y-you can always strip if that's....easier."
Beverly: “That will also count,” Beverly added, still smiling.
Nathan: nathan stared at bev and blinked a few times then back at edgar, his own cheeks flushing pink. "i uh," he chuckled a bit rubbed the back of his neck, "strip like.. just how we've been doing or strip like... ya know."
Edgar: Edgar's face grew even brighter. "I-I mean, either...or."
Beverly: Beverly smiled more politely now. She'd have mercy. "You don't have to do it here, there's a perfectly good bedroom over there. I'll give you five whole minutes."
Nathan: he debated for a while, the idea was enticing he had to admit but he wasn't sure he could do it without liquid courage and he was swearing that off in a matter of days. "i'm just gonna." nathan unbuckled his pants and sat up some, pulling them down and off before sitting back down in his boxers. "sorry." he mumbled to edgar and wrapped an arm back around his shoulder.
Edgar: Even so he couldn't help the way he stared as Nathan took off his pants. Damn. Maybe he'd have to ask for a private show later then. "R-right. So...I think it's Evie's turn."
Yvette: Yvette's only response to watching Nathan take off his pants was to raise her eyebrows and then look over at Edgar. "Eddie, if I haven't told you congratulations yet, then congratulations," she teased, before dropping back down into her armchair. She considered the two options before shrugging. "Fuck it, why not end with a bang? Dare."
Edgar: At the tease Edgar's face lit up. He was well aware of how lucky he was. Perhaps too lucky. Still he cheered as Yvette opted for a dare. He kept his fingers crossed Nathan picked a good one to end the game on.
Nathan: nathan thought long and hard about a dare (it was me googling) for yvette and finally decided on one that felt okay enough. “i dare you to eat a raw onion like an apple.” he said with an innocent smile.
Yvette: Yvette stared at him in disbelief. "Evil. Diabolical. And after I invited you into my home and everything." Still, she stood up and carefully made her way into the kitchen, coming back out with an entire onion. "Am I at least allowed to peel it first?"
Nathan: nathan tapped his chin in thought. "you know what? since you're not the reason i'm in my boxers right now i'll let you peel it."
Edgar: Edgar rolled his eyes. "You say that like you have a problem being half naked."
Nathan: "i do when there's two other people here that don't normally see me in my underwear so ha.
Yvette: "Whelp, guess there goes the idea of doing a sexy fireman calendar," Yvette teased as she focused on peeling the onion—which was taking a lot more effort than usual due to her state. "Nathan doesn't want to be half naked in front of anyone who isn't Eddie." When she had peeled about half the onion, she shrugged and figured that was good enough for now, before biting into it and immediately grimacing. "Oh, yuuuuuck," she mumbled, her eyes watering from the onion. Covering her mouth, she glanced up at Nathan. "Permission to spit this out?"
Edgar: Though Yvette wasn't drinking Edgar still poured a small amount of wine and got up to hand her the glass. Water was not going to wash out that taste. He sent Nathan a look as if warning him to not be mean.
Beverly: “We tried our best,” Beverly replied softly, watching as Yvette peeled the onion. It was interesting and she was very transfixed on it. She visibly winced as the other took a bite and stuck out her tongue. As soon as the initial grossness went away, she only laughed at the situation, calling out without even thinking, “spitters are quitters, Yvette!“
Nathan: nathan felt his cheeks warm slightly at the tease but glanced over at edgar when she asked for permission, catching the look (he's in my head doing that shrek face. you know the one? please tell me you know the one.) and despite laughing at what beverly had said, he nodded. "i don't want to sleep on the couch tonight so permission granted, unless the spitters are quitters thing gets ya going."
Yvette: As soon as she was granted permission, Yvette rushed to the trashcan and spit out the chunk of onion she had bitten off, before walking back and taking the glass of wine from Edgar. "Bev, you know damn well that sentence doesn't apply to this situation," she quipped back, before gulping down most of the wine in the glass. "There are plenty of situations I'm not a quitter in if you catch my drift." She winked, but it turned into more of a wince at the aftertaste of onion. "Well. That sure was a way to wrap things up."
Edgar: Edgar turned red at the suggestion, shaking his head. "Not something I ever needed to know, thanks Evie." He bent down to grab Nathan's clothes, holding them up for the other. "Thanks for hosting all this. It was actually pretty fun."
Beverly: Beverly was already in the middle of putting her shirt back on as she hugged each of her friends close. "Thank you all... This would've been impossible without you and I just-- love you all so much." She had plenty marked off the list now and she really had never felt better.
