WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THE TROUSERS??!?!!?!?

sorry. uh. I'm kind of losing it over these silly goofy background goobers. I recently rewatched Headless and am thinking about them a lot. I want to know more about them, about what they know, about whatever is going on with Trevor, about how the promotional photos implied that they had a cult.

a moment that's stuck with me since I rewatched Headless was a bit in one of the commercials, the one for the half baked bakery. when Eugene replies to Trevor saying that he wasn't believing in himself with "yeah, great call. we weren't either!" and Trevor just kinda. idk how to describe it, but it's a change from what we've seen from him every other time. if we believe that Trevor is 14, it's really cruel to tell a kid that you don't believe in them. so that's a thing.

a thing from one of the other commercials- the popcorn tea shoppe. you can see Ramona mouthing the lines as Trevor says them, and I also don't know how to describe that, but there's something in her expression that just seems a bit... off

idk. maybe I'm overthinking these background characters. maybe they're just normal guys. or maybe there's something else going on under it all.

I’m very curious: what’s going on with the Trousers and Trevor Trinkets? Because in the first episode, Trevor starts off saying he’s 15, but then says 14 and then 13. Ichabod seems to realize Trevor does not look the age he claims to be, and Max backs him up on this statement. But the rest of the town seems to think otherwise (although in the bloopers, Gabe does accidentally say ‘he’s 40 Ichabod’ instead of ‘he’s 14 Ichabod’). And in the promos, the Trousers’ acting school was implied to be a cover up for a cult. That has me wondering…did Eugene and Ramona steal Trevor’s youth with magic somehow? Maybe sacrificed years of his life for his (and their) success? Or maybe they brainwashed him to think he’s at least 15 years younger than he actually is? And then somehow brainwashed the town into going along with that? Or…or…is he Benjamin Buttoning?
