Dipping Sauce

Bardon (Baldr) (ft. David and Q)

Summary:

Chick-pit-A was having an eatting challenge. David and Q decided to take it on while piggyback on Bardon, who was interested as well.

"No way!" David jumped up from his seat. Lazing around in Union Lounge area, the sudden news peaked his interest.

He scrolled through his phone as Q approached him.

"What's up?" Q asked, floating up his friend's level, Eros peered into David's phone.

"Chick-Pit-A is having a special collab!" David said, "Look!" He pointed at the social media post.

"Get a chance to win a limited edition Figurine Action Hero and tickets to the movie by purchasing the nugget bucket..."

"No, not that," David butted in, "Look, they're having a new special limited dipping sauce challenge!"

Immediately, Q grabbrd David's phone to take a closer look at the post. He flew away from his friend who, was frantically trying to get his phone back.

"Hey! They say, if you could find the golden packet of the dipping sauce, and post it with #DippingSauce, we have a chance to win 10,000 e-coins!" Q said excitedly.

"Well, yeah," David replied, " That's what I am trying to go for."

Floating around, Q flapped his wings. He gave a smirk, with a giggle he teased, "You probably need to go through a hundred of chicken nuggets to even find the golden packet! " laughing, Q stopped when he suddenly bumped into someone. The force knocked him onto the floor, his hands lets go of David's phone.

In that moment, a robotic hand reached out. Catching the phone, before it could hit the floor.

"Oh! That's was close!" Bardon said, he held on to the phone.

Q landed in the floor with a thud.

"Oh Hey!" David greeted Bardon, "Thanks for saving my phone. I don't know what am I going to do without it!"

"Haha, it's nothing," Bardon gave a cheerful replied.

Before Bardon hand the phone back to David, he took a look at the screen. He notice the Chick-Pit-A poster. Immediately, his eyes lit up.

"Are you guys also interested in Chick-Pit-A's limited chicken nugget event too?!" A bright smile plastered on Bardon's face.

"Errr... Yeah!" David said, a little shaken from Bardon's sudden enthusiasm. Taking his phone back, David continued, " We're thinking about getting the nuggets."

"Oh man! You have no idea how much I want to win that Action hero figurine!" Bardon exclaimed. His voice became louder as he grew passionate, earning a few looks from other Espers in the lounge.

"Gosh, you don't have to be so loud," Q covered his ears. He floated back up to David's level and continued, "and besides, we're not going for-"

"Hey, Q! Mind coming here for a sec?" David said, cutting Q off before dragging his friend to the side.

Whispering to Q's ear, David said, "Bardon's pretty into the chicken nugget challenge. If we work together, there's higher the chance we can get the golden packet! Plus, Bardon's got a big appetite. He can finish all the nuggets for us!"

"You're right!" Q whispered back in realisation.

Both turned back to Bardon again, who, eagerly looked at Q and David. The latter spoke, "Say, Bardon, we are interested in the Chicken nugget challenge too!"

"er... Yeah!" Q nodded.

"Really? That's awesome!" Bardon said.

"Let's team up!" David suggested, "So we can get as much nuggets as possible!"

Q whispered to David, "Are we really teaming up?"

"Duh, the more nuggets you buy the more dipping sauce they are going to give out. All we need to do is let Bardon eat everything, and we just need to find the Golden packet."

Q giggled and nodded his head.

"Oh, that's a great tactic!" Bardon said, completely oblivious to David's plan, "We can split the prize!"

"No, no, no," Q shook this head, "it's fine, you can keep the prize. We just want to try out Chick-pit-A's special limited Chicken nuggets, " he gave David a wink.

A little taken back by the generous offer, Bardon scratched his head, but shook off the doubt in his mind.

"Wow, you guys... Okay! Let's do the challenge after our missions are done!" he exclaimed with excitement.

"Sure! Just make sure you don't have any last minute dispatches." David laughed.

Having to agree on a time, the trio went to the nearest Chick-pit-A to purchase their fill after their schedules were done. As Bardon happily headed back to the Headquarters upfront, Q whispers into David's ears, "Hey, we sure bought a lot. Don't you think this is too much?"

Looking at the bags of food, David reassured Q with a confident smile, "Well, we don't have to eat all of it, all we have to do is to find the Golden dipping sauce."

"That's true..." Q replied.

They finally arrived at the cafeteria as Bardon began to unpack the food. Q took out his phone and began to record.

"hello guys, me and David are going going to try out the Chick-pit-A's chicken Nugget challenge!" he said.

"Are you guys ready?" Bardon asked.

"Yeah!" David replied.

Not long, Bardon was wolfing down on the chicken nuggets.

In the meantime, both Q and David grew desperate trying to find special sauce packet. They rummaged through the bags, but so far, didn't find anything.

"There's too many bags, it's like finding a needle in a haystack, " Q piped up.

"Since we bought so many, there's got to be a least one around here." David said.

"Oh hey!" another voice greeted. The two Esper turned their heads and saw Discboom walking towards their table. She had just entered the cateria, and was surprised to see the number of bags on the table. She said," I see you guys are taking on Chick-pit-A's food challenge."

"We sure are!" David replied.

"Oh man!" Bardon's voice echo through the room.

Immediately, the three turned their heads, and saw Bardon holding a dipping sauce packet.

"I can't believe it!" he exclaimed, "I got the Golden packet!"

David and Q gave each other a look before stumbling their way towards the blond, who was about to take a picture.

"w-wait!" David said.

"Huh?" Bardon questioned.

"Erm... You got the Golden packet!" David stuttered.

"Yeah, I can't believe my luck! Not only can I get tickets and the figurine, but 10,000 e-coins too!"

"Yeah about that..." Q pipped up feeling nervous.

"What's wrong?" Bardon asked.

"Well... We were just thinking," David tried to put it delicately, "if we could split the prize?"

The table went silent. Bardon looked back at David with a surprised expression. "But didn't you say you don't want the prize?" he asked.

"ah... About that... Erm... I think we took too much of what we bargain for with the nuggets, so we think it is fair if we split the prize." Q said.

"But I don't see you guys eatting anything." Discboom commented. Crossing her arms, she eyed at the two Espers, knowing full well they are always up to something no good.

"Well, if you really want to have the prize so badly, you should eat your share. You know, teamwork." she suggested.

"That's fair," Bardon nodded.

There was a look of horror on Eros and Jason's faces as they look at the stacks of food that were waiting to be consumed.

"D-do we really need to finish everything?" David asked.

"If you buy it, you must finish it. We don't tolerate wasted food." Discboom replied, "Do you want me to ask Drew to come over?"

Both Espers shook their heads. With a heavy heart and swallowing the lump in their thoarts, they began to wolf down on the nuggets.

"Wow," Lucas looked at Bardon on the following day, as he showed everyone the tickets, "You actually went with the Chick-pit-A's chicken nugget challenge..." Lucas said, genuinly surprised to see how his friend was able to finished the amount of food he bought.

"and," Bardon took a box out from his bag, "I also won this!" he showed Apollo the limited edition figurine.

"Whoa!" Lucas exclaimed,"No wonder you are determined!"

"But," he continued, "What about David and Q? Didn't they joined you for the challenge?"

"They both have to tap out midway, so I get to keep all the prizes," Bardon said, " I also got the Golden dipping sauce."

"No way!" Lucas exclaimed once again, "Man, you are really at a wining streak! How much did you get?!"

"10,000 e-coins, but I gave half of it to Discboom for helping me with the socials" Bardon said and gave a bright smile.

"Wait, Discboom helped you? Why don't you ask Q and David?" Lucas held a perplexed look.

"They headed straight to the medic ops," Bardon said, "I feel a little bad making them eat everything, so I thought I should treat them lunch, as Discoom recommended."

On cue, the door to the lounge opened. David dragged his sluggish feet into the room along with Q, who doesn't look too lively, fluttering from behind.

"Guys!" Bardon shouted, "I got you guys Chick-pit-A for lunch!"

David approached Bardon. However, after hearing the Esper mentioning about food, David's face went pale and meek. He placed a hand over his mouth preventing himself from showing the unholy sight of him gagging. While Q shook his head and went for the door with David following suit.

"That's werid..." Bardon commented.

"Must have ate too much chicken nuggets," Lucas laughed, "But don't you feel unwell after eatting that much?"

Looking at Lucas, Bardon simply answered, "I feel just fine."

Different vein but i really do love the thought that all of Saiki's friends have Esper abilities in one way or another. But *none of them know*

Nendou being a dead source sort of deal, where mental abilities don't work on him, hence why Telepathy specifically doesnt work.

Teruhashi's is moreso on the ability of persuasion. She's beautiful and nothing can top that. That is not her Esper ability. But her ability to drive hundreds, near thousands of people towards her side is near uncanny. It's a very minor form of mind control where she's just pushing to have people listen. I do feel like her's is special in the case that she needs to verbalize it to feel that it works, otherwise nothing happens. Its subconsciously not going to work if she never says it out loud.

Hairo's is pyrokenesis in a minor sense. Man is a furnace, nuff said.

I want Kaidou's to be illusions. You have no idea how bad i want his to be illusions. The only downside is that it only works on *him* so far. He can't get other people to see what he sees because he has no idea how to project that. I think it'd be hilarious if it actually does work on Saiki but Saiki has no idea cause he believes he's picking it up from Kaidou's imagination. Yes it is not the insane power Kaidou thought it was, but it can still be used!

Kuboyasu having a sixth sense is like an innate danger ability. He feels that stuff. He knows when bad things are gonna happen but the power to change it isn't really up to him. He knows when it can happen around him, but that doesnt mean he can stop it.

Chiyo is harder to find an ability for. But i think what would fit Chiyo the most is one that involves touch and relationships. Not romantic, just her level of love and adoration for the person. The ability to match emotions with another. If one is feeling stressed but Chiyo is calm, a touch and gentle words can easily get them down to her level. The same is the opposite though. If she's stressed and touches someone. They start to steadily get stressed. I jist thknk it's neat!!!

Mera is defo a more than one type of esper. Hardier than the average human, huge amount of durability and stamina. And i do think she has a minor case of telekinesis if only for that one scene with her glasses shattering. And even then, it only comes out when she's feeling particularly silly, otherwise it ain't happening.

Saiko seems fun, cause in my mind he's probably the only one who never uses his ability, but i love the thought of like misty steps. The ability to just walk in air for a few feet, not quite flight but no other comparison to it other than flight.

And of course there's the other psychikers.

I think Akechi is the only one allowed to be a normal human. Keeps his and Kusuo's story the same and really pushes how he can still keep up and beat mostly all of them.

Aiura can't tell cause Aura isnt the same as power telling. If not Toritsuka's aura would have been a ghost and not a giant dick.

and the Ghosts can't tell cause it seems normal amongst how humans work *now*

I’m so thankful that @lemonade-squid alerted me that the cast of ESPer Mami (エスパー魔美) appears in the new Doraemon (ドラえもん) video game, Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story (ドラえもんのどら焼き屋さん物語). It turned out to be available on Nintendo’s Switch, which I happen to have, so I’ve been playing it all weekend and having a lot of fun. It’s a work simulation game but it kind of reminds me of computer games from my childhood like SimCity 2000 or SimTower.

yup. not fun, definitely dont recommend it. i have all kinds of stories i could share about the hauntings. ive already shared the story about laundry room that would lock itself with me inside and the washing machines water would turn red and id hear aggressive banging against the glass from inside the machine to the point id think the glass would shatter. it never did though.

but yeah, ive experienced a lot of weird shite back at my old place.

I’m always interested in the fact that so few people talk about the weirdest aspect of ESPer Mami (エスパー魔美)—the fact that the dad consistently uses his daughter as a live nude model for his art. I can never quite wrap my head around how fucking weird that is.

So when I found out that Mami and her father appear in this new Doraemon (ドラえもん) video game, I was curious if there would be any reference to the dad’s art and thus this weird fact, even if obliquely. And indeed, the facility the ESPer Mami cast request for the shop is an art gallery, presumably because he’s an artist…
