No. The Night of the Long Knives purge was orchestrated because the German military feared being supplanted by the SA and Hitler wanted to win them to his side. Rohm's homosexuality was an excuse, and he would have been purged regardless of his sexual orientation.

So I’ve heard. Interesting revision of history.

Röhm was executed because Hitler was a paranoid lunatic and because Röhm was a homosexual. He and Hitler were buddy buddy enough that he reportedly hesitated to issue the order to execute Röhm, and Röhm responded to the order in defiance, demanding Hitler kill him with his own hand if that was what he truly wanted. His demand was ignored and the SS shot him themselves.

It’s one of those stories that’s interesting from a historian standpoint, but it’s best to leave it as it is in an age where people deny the Holocaust even happened. I will say that the Nazi party was largely not comprised of homosexuals since they put most queers in extermination camps. It’s just a bizarre claim, not much different than claiming the Nazi party was full of Jews. I’m sure there were homosexuals who played along out of self-preservation, but it certainly wasn’t common. Röhm was proof of one thing if nothing else, even homosexuals Hitler pardoned at one point were not to be tolerated by the mid to late 30s. Saying that he was executed for being fat is a tad absurd if nothing else just because he was about the same body type as Hitler.

He was executed just shy of a year after this photo was taken, that wasn’t the problem. Röhm was likely killed because he only referred to Hitler by first name, or by “Adi”, rather than his title. There were rumors circulating that Hitler was a homosexual and having an affair with Röhm. Those rumors are the reason Röhm was executed. Were the rumors true? Doesn’t really matter. As I said, no reason to waste time forming headcanons on genocidal freaks who died almost a century ago.

Either way, weird revisionism to assert it was done because he was fat. The Nazis didn’t have a huge interest in executing people for being a bit chubby as long as they were white, heterosexual, cisgendered, Catholics. With a favoring to aryans of course.

✧₊⁺ So before you say that he couldn't be gay because he was the leader of a nazi party ask yourself that question ''If a white person says their black does it make them black?''.

I think the answer to that question is pretty simple.

So as we know there are a lot of gay people that are closed about their sexuality and are homophobic - we can simply refer to this act as ''internalized homophobia''.

Lets start of with what Ernst Hanfstaengl, one of the member's of Hitler's inner circle wrote about him:

''I felt Hitler was a case of a man who was neither fish, flesh nor fowl, neither fully homosexual nor fully heterosexual... I had formed the firm conviction that he was impotent, the repressed, masturbating type."

Hitler also turned down many advances that came from women, for example he rejected Leni Riefenstahl, a filmmaker.

It's also quite interesting how the women he had/ or was said to have romantic relationship mostly died because of suicide or ''unknown cases''.

Now moving to (for me) the most interesting aspect:

His relationship with Ernst Rohm.

Ernst was Adolf's closest friend, one of the few people that could call him by his name. Hitler supported him during the Rohm scandla in 1931-1932 when Munchener Post disclosed Ernst homosexuality. According to the historian Andrew Wackerfuss Hitler had no personal discomfort with homosexuality, but that he found it convenient politically to instrumentalise homophobia to justify the 1934 Night of the Long Knives.

Herman Rauschning 

Hermann Rauschning claimed to have seen in Hitler's First World War military record an item concerning a court-martial that found Hitler guilty of pederastic practices with an officer. Rauschning also claimed that in Munich, Hitler was found guilty of a violation of Paragraph 175, which dealt with pederasty. No evidence of either of these two charges has been found.

Alcohol is a drug and drugs are really useful for state control. Brave New World had soma, and Russia had vodka, which was cheaply made and real accessible. Originally peasants made this, but then the Tsar monopolized it for 400 years. Thus there was state-sanctioned alcoholism for the peasants, who in their serfdom, turned to alcohol for escape. It lines the state's pockets, and keeps the workers from revolting. The original Leninist communist movement was a prohibitionist one, and they did make reforms. Until Stalin came along, put the factories in control of the state, named it "the People's Vodka," and started to sell it. Russia is still healing from centuries of alcoholism. This information is basically summarized from Kraut, a YouTuber, who made a really great video about "How Vodka ruined Russia."

My headcanon is that because of his history, Commie is genetically predisposed to alcoholism. Also due to the brutality of the 20th century and the stuff Communist states have gone through, my headcanon is also that Commie was a victim of child abuse. As such, he is seen using alcohol to escape his problems (as shown in Centricide, when he forlornly looks upon a photo of the Extremists while drinking.) Commie does want to break out of his alcoholism, so is idealistic about the future. But realistically, would a state give up control of their people through drugs? Would a state give up the very profitable business of selling to addicts?

Authright is a real reader of Nietzsche, who famously said, "Nowhere else have alcohol and Christianity – the two great European narcotics – been abused with greater depravity." A lot of N*zi ideology is built on a very anti-semitic view of Nietzsche's philosophy. Nietzsche himself was not anti-semitic (in fact, he broke off with Richard Wagner, who he viewed as a father-figure at the time, precisely because he wanted to y'know, still have Jewish friends). However, Nietzsche's sister was very anti-semitic and published/edited most of his writings after his death. N*zis latched onto this and the whole ubermensch idea. Nietzsche recognized early on that alcohol is a dulling agent and makes people less engaged with the world, which to him is not ubermensch behaviour. N*zi believes this.

However, what N*zi believes in more is exceptionalism. That is, people in power are allowed to do whatever they want in the interest of the state. This makes N*zism as an ideology is inherently incoherent. It allows for double-standards and the incomprehensible racial ideology. N*zis were actually dumbfounded when faced with people of colour with state privileges, such as officials with Jewish ancestry. To further their political goals, the right would also take advantage of marginalized groups who have the same beliefs against their own interests (Homonationalism). As soon as these political goals are achieved, however, Homonationalism will be dropped just as fast as H*tler dropped Ernst Rohm.

Basically, Authright will do drugs if a Daddy/Mommy/Xaddy tells him to. Commie is an alcoholic, and the state says alcohol is okay. Absolute obedience to a hierarchy is more important to the Authoritarians than the moral implications or real societal effects of drugs.

I've been following this whole clusterfuck (I'm new to tiktok so this is my first one of these) and it is genuinely so sad, tbh.

Like, aside from being an extremely obvious grift (even Blair White would tell her she's laying it on too thick), you can actually see the real pain she's going through. She really thought she'd be welcomed with open arms, but she wasn't.

She's genuinely alone. The right won't accept her and send her a steady stream of bigotry and hate. The left is just laughing at her. The trans community has fully disowned her and spend time slowly dissecting how she fucked up. And she deserves most of it (not the bigotry and right wing hate, obvi, but the rest absolutely). It's the consequences of her own actions.

It's a perfect illustration of how there are no "good ones" to conservatives. We're all queers. We're all trannies. We're all fags and dykes and degenerate scum. She's going to go in the camps with us if the time comes.

Remember, just because someone is from a marginalized group doesn't mean they'll act in the best interest of that group.

I watched this and was surprised the popularity of LGBT in Belin during the 1920 & 30s

It's a fascinating documentary about the history of Eldorado club, how it and acceptance of LGBT changed due to the nazis. How hitlers righthand man Ernst Rohm was himself gay and accepted by hitler until it was used against him and his fate was death by the SS.

Why is it, 100 years on and still there is homphobic attitudes across the world.

They say humanity is going backwards. Maybe it is!
