something about this scene from ep 42 was very enticing to my kremy centric brain. at first it seems like he’s being extremely selfish and self important and refusing to listen to his friends about not fighting, but really I think it’s about kremy being SO utterly confident within his abilities to smooth talk his way out of anything that in his mind, he’s saving his friends.

Brennan is evil. Like man is making moves this episode. So much sinister setup, so much things paying off.

Steel has got to stop coming to them and start being like "i need you to come here immediately." whenever she needs them to wait, the most chaotic shit pops off.

The Wizard Silence has captured the Great Bullfrog and is using them as a weapon. The Grenoe (sp?) are being kidnapped and branded as traitors (which, uh, you stole their Spirit and took their kids, who betrayed who?).

Steel wants Suvi to ask them to help the war effort. She will be very lucky if Ame doesn't burn a lot of shit down immediately and join the Witches against the Citadel frankly.

I guess we're probably headed back into Suvi has a bad ole time territory right quick. Suvi being like "I will never suffer a consequence" feels very big, "1 day til retirement" kind of foreshadowing. Brennan is about to kill that dog, the dog being the good time Suvi is having right now.

If Eursulon and Ame don't do a bunch of very public crimes in the next 20 minutes, let alone the next 3 days, I'd be VERY SURPRISED. The question is, where is Suvi going to go from here? She's already done a very minor treason.

Oh and that moment of Suvi trying to tell herself a story so she doesn't have to actively lie and then Brennan hooking that into the Justification Machine analogy was so GOOD. OMG.

Tiger Dan clapping his hands to hinder Ron’s mental breakdown is an add-on courtesy of the anime crew. In the manga, Lily’s accusation has rattled him, but there isn’t a full-blown incident where he’d break down. It comes later when he and Toto find the picture frame.

But in these frames we can see that Ron is struggling to maintain his composure to halt the onslaught of memories flooding his brain.

If not for Tiger Dan clapping his hands to control the situation, hence declaring that Ron is innocent until proven guilty using his lawyerly know-how, Ron would break right there and then in spite of Toto vehemently defending his best friend from Lily’s hurtful words.

man this scene was so fucking raw. putting SPECIALZ over it was so perfect -- this is the culmination of everything that happened in the arc. think about it in conjunction with the opening movie. play them side-by-side, with all the people that yuuji lost in that subway station walking beside him, and tell me this doesn't hit so fucking hard. the symbolism here is SO PEAK TOO. the massive crater, the black hole, the void in the city, the slow cuts to every destroyed building and corpse. the way yuuji's eyes gleam red while he's begging to die. calling himself a murderer. the literal blood on his hands and the way he can't stop clawing at the asphalt. this performance and this scene were so incredible, i've been wrecked for HOURS. the jjk team really fucking outdid themselves here
