Day #5: Pomefiore Halloween Costumes

Hocus Pocus!

You managed to catch Epel's attention when you watched "Hocus Pocus" with him, the boy loving the cozy Halloween comedy. When Epel proposed being witches to Vil and showed him a reference picture of the three sisters, Vil was disgusted by their lack of beauty. Luckily, Rook stood up and mentioned that the great Vil was able to do anything, like transform the ugly into something magnificent. Once Rook said that, Vil locked himself in his room and began designing the costumes, slaving over them and making them all by hand.

Epel Facts Part 37: Epel and Deuce (pt4)

As Epel and Deuce discuss blastcycles together during White Rabbit Fes and Grim observes, "They're in their own lil' world…"

(Their conversations seem to be describing vintage yankee fashion, and in the game guide Deuce is said to have a yankee influence. With Epel described as a “countryside juvenile delinquent” in the guide, both characters seem to have preferences for that aesthetic.)

(Epel even wonders if he might receive some of Deuce's old clothes in a voice line. Ace and Deuce's shared love for blastcycles also ties in to motorcycles often being associated with yankees.)

Epel says, "You'd never see a modded blastcycle back in Harveston" and "Bad kids and blastcycles were just something out of comics or TV shows. But then I started looking around on the internet. And I was shocked to find all that stuff was real! I was totally enamored," and one of his dreams was to "cruise around on blastcycles with my pals wearing matching leather jackets!"

(During the event he says that the White Rabbit Fes, with its matching outfits and "running wild," is just what he had always dreamed about: "Sure, there won't be blastcycles, and these costumes don't exactly scream 'bad boy.' But we're up against the toughest dudes in town!")

This explains Epel being enamored with Deuce before they met: Epel says he heard about a particularly troublesome person in Clock Town named "Cold One Duke," with whom he was "obsessed" when he was in middle school.

By the end of the event this revealed to have actually been "Cauldron Deuce," but Deuce denies it, and Epel never realizes that he is actually friends with his former idol.

Deuce says that he never imagined that Epel had “a hot-blooded streak” like his own, offering to introduce Epel to a talented embroiderer.

Deuce and Epel’s shared interest in fashion is touched upon throughout the game, with Deuce getting Epel a cap with a patch on it for his birthday, Epel gifting Lilia with a jacket with an embroidered tiger (that matches a jacket Epel himself owns) and Epel and Deuce shopping together for Trey’s birthday present: they get him a hat, after regrettably vetoing styles with spiked studs and embroidered flames that went over the gift budget.

Epel says that he is actually disappointed by Deuce's hometown, saying that he had "figured the town would be awash in modded blastcycles, with delinquents getting into fights all over the place."

Silver says Epel must have been hoping for a chance to protect his friends but Ortho observes, "I'm not sure protecting us was the first thing on Epel Felmier's mind..."

SR Epel Felmier - Rabbit Costume Voice Lines

Summon Line: I'm so excited to go to my first ever city festival with folks from school! I'm gonna have so much fun today!

Groooovy!!: That race sure was fun! Felt awesome making those jerks lose.

Home Idle 1: Deuce-kun and I have the same kind of tastes. Ah, I wonder if he still has any old clothes he used to wear. I might be able to wear them if I get it tailored to my size.

Home Idle 2: The Queendom of Roses really loves their gardening, so they sell all sorts of plant bulbs and seeds. I definitely prefer plants that'll grow fruit, though.

Home Idle 3: I like rabbits, so I don't really mind dressing up like a white rabbit, but... Couldn't we have done something about all these ruffles and ribbons?

Home Idle - Login: There's so many people and stores here, so Clock Town is hopping like crazy. To me, this must be what an actual city feels like, I guess?

Home Idle - Groovy: What, does the scone I bought look tasty? Then, how about we split it in two and share it? The bigger half is gonna be mine, though.

Summary:

New month, new worries and pains in the ass to deal with. That includes Adriana being automatically put on Vil's team for Eurovision meets Coachella a continent-wide singing and dance competition alongside Epel in order to repay him for the room and board in his dorm. He claims that's the only way she can repay him for she has some gifts that even she isn't aware of...despite thinking that he is full of it.

As the day of the competition draws closer and closer, Adriana must contest with: a deranged cult leader, a sexist creep, personal relationship drama, strife between team members, a new job, and pulling Vil out from his self destructive spiral before it's too late. On the plus side, at least she gains new friends, including one she starts to fall for.

Extra Notes: This is an AU where Night Raven's a university, so all of the NRC and RSA characters are 18+.

01. HAUNTED MANSION !

the alluring moon shined brightly over two bodies preparing to enter a run-down house which was supposedly "haunted".

"well.. uh would you like to go first?" you ask with the apparent fear in you voice. the house was filled with dust and cobwebs around, not to mention that this was located in an obscure forest!

"sure, i promise no matter what i'll protect you!" they said with a gleaming smile on their face. that really eased you.

locking hands, you both went into the house with hearts full of courage.

as you entered, the darkness and dust became more discernable. spotting some insects aswell. you both walked forward, using your phones as flashlights to view the hallways clearly.

creaking floorboards and slight whispers were all heard throughout the house, regardless, you continued on. "ahaha.. uh this is really really creepy." you commented, attempting to make small talk to distract yourself from the interior of the house.

until—

"who are you to enter my abode, you are unwelcome here!"

whatthefuck— you both quickly ran out, still hand in hand.

both of you, panting after running quickly from whatever the both of you just heard. "could we not do this again." you said, "definitely, never again." as he replied.

"though, i wasn't able to protect you.." they said, scratching their head. you placed your hand on his cheek, quickly giving him a small kiss.

"i don't care about that, i was able to be with you and that's enough" you said with a smile, leaving them red and flustered.

both of you left once more hand in hand, laughing and promising to never do that again.

02. TRICK OR TREATING !

a childish tradition most would say, but you don't care. as you were able to have fun and spend time with your lover!

asking fellow peers if they had candy while in costume just lit up your face, while also asking on doors for candy.

while walking home after trick or treating, you've been eating some of your favorite candy you've gotten until you sadly ran out.

"hey, do you still have [candy name]? i ran out, if you don't mind giving me some..?" you asked with your most innocent face, hoping they'd give you some.

they sighed and laughed, "of course i do, i'd be willing to give some if it's for you." they replied with the most charming smile. "just don't eat too much, it might make you sick." pouting, you replied, "im not a child! of course i'd know not to eat too much."

both of you laughed, you really admired their smiling face. they were simply perfect.

03. MATCHING COSTUMES !

4:37 pm, the sun had started to set and it seeped through the windows of your room. you tried on your [costume of choice], and it fit perfectly!

you and your beloved were invited to a costume party, and you both decided on matching costumes. you were [desired costume] and they were [desired costume], it was really cute!

once you were done fixing yourself up, you headed onto your beloved's place.

knocking on their door, you see them open it and, oh my god— they look so bewitching, and amazing, and perfect! you couldn't keep your eyes off them, they were just too much for your heart! but, your staring has gotten noticeable, raising questions.

"you look amazed, how do you think?" they asked. while you were just enthralled with how they looked! "you look really good!" as you responded with a smile on their face.

they stepped out and both of you headed to the party. "you look really nice too, y'know. you've just captured my heart once more." they hummed, while you were startled a bit. "ah, really?" you questioned as they reaffirmed what they said.

"yes you do! now let's go, i want them to see how you look!" they said while dragging you faster. you were really lucky to have such a loving partner.

Drama club mishap

Story: Costume mishap at the nrc drama club

A/n: I submitted this fic for a grade and it got a 98💀💀💀💀💀💀

The group of friends were sitting in a circle in the courtyard, limbs stretched out on the plush grass as they nervously waited for an email stating their costumes for the annual school play had come in, hoping they would fit correctly. Epel left out a huff, followed by the sound of his thick southern accent, "You know, I thought they said that we would get the costumes around three, It's already four now. "

"Just be patient, Epel. I'm sure they'll be sent out soon. " Jack said in a low tone of voice, trying to make his lavender headed friend didn't do anything too brash this time to avoid embarrassment, he definitely didn't want a rerun of what happened the previous year.

"Why do you even care anyway? Don't tell me you actually enjoy doing this. " Ace asked mockingly, not taking his attention from tapping away on his phone. "No I don't enjoy it, I just don't want to have another one of Vil's lectures because my costumes haven't come in yet. " Epel grumbled.

"Touche, " Ace said before opening his mouth again "Oh yeah, Sebek, bro, why are you here too? I thought you had a job to protect Malleus or somethin'? " The ginger questioned him, eyebrow slightly raised. "Well yes I do have a very important job of being a retainer to the great Malleus! But it just so happens that Master Lilia enjoys these plays and wanted me to participate this year. I tried to reason against it but he insisted obstinately. " Sebek sighed, threading a hand through his mint green hair.

A loud ping then rings out from a phone, another member of the group wakes up from his nap rather startled "Huh? Where am I? " He questions, Navy blue hair stuck slightly to his forehead from accumulated sweat. "Chill out, Juice, It was just a notification from your phone. Speaking of that you should probably check it. " Deuce grabbed his phone, Accidentally dropping it on the ground from his hands being clammy but quickly picking it up again and typing in his passcode.

He looked at the notification at the top of his phone, a email from the schools drama club director, Mr crewel. Giving them a notice to come and pick up their costumes for the play. "Guys, The costumes are done! " Deuce yells in excitement.

The group gets up and walks through the familiar hallways of the school until they reached the brown double doors leading to the theatre. They walked around to behind the stage where they saw Mr crewel, His assistant, Mr Kang and a few other students in the play, recognizing the one near the boxes of clothes as Lilia Vanrouge, Sebeks grandfather and mentor.

"Master Lilia! We have arrived to pick up our stage costumes. " Sebek announces loudly, Lilia turned around giving a wide smile, receiving his sharp canine teeth. "Hello son! I was just about to check with Mr crewel if you had shown up yet to retrieve your costumes. " Lilia turned around again, picking up a large cardboard box and shoving it in Sebeks hands "Now, Go try them on! " He insists. The five boys walk back into the dressing area to unbox their costumes.

"Geez, I can't wait to finally see em'. " Epel says "Me too. " Jack agrees. Sebek opens the box slowly, getting ready to see normal outfits, but they got something most unexpected instead. Inside the box was five, sparkling outfits, some two pieces and some in a piece, mostly in silver but with accent colours. One in a bright red, a blinding yellow, a darker blue shade, a electric lime green and a dusty purple.

Epel gasped, "What in tarnation are those things? " He exclaims in shock, Sebek eyes also widened in disbelief, Ace only chuckled. "Well come on men, we need to try on our outfits. " Epel glared but picked up his garment, trying to remain unflappable but ultimately failing. They retreated back to the dressing rooms for a short moment before stepping out in their outfits.

Shimmering stones and glitter shine from the lights pointing down in the dressing rooms, Deuce looks at himself in the mirror and says to his friends "Well I guess that we're rather adaptable. " trying to make the mood less disappointing but suddenly, a shout comes from behind them. "Hey? What are you doing with our outfits? " One of them asks, the boys turn around and are met with the faces of their female actresses, Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy and Yeri.

It then dawned on the boys that Lilia had fortunately grabbed the wrong boxes unknowingly. Ace started laughing "I got scared for a second that you were going to make us really wear these dresses! " He wipes a tear from the corner of his eye, Epel and Jack let out a breath of relief simultaneously, Deuce chucked slightly and Sebek stood there. But alas a crisis was avoided.
