Hi I turned my fave car with all my fave things into a TFsona. This is Countersteer. He/him. Genderfluid, but like, fast (gender(liquid?))
The bodykit is a combination of the Rocket Bunny duraflex + AMUSE kit for the 350Z. He has a sick Voltex GT wing. Rear-mounted turbo. Standard VQ. 4 titanium pipes//X pattern system. I was planning to switch his wheels to BBS or Enkei but I was too lazy to draw them. He sports the colour Nissan Sunset Orange. No decals on his body yet, but pretty sure he'd get some.
I love him

Best Wheels and Fitment Options for the Toyota GR-86 / Subaru BRZ
The GR-86 is quite possibly one of the best looking vehicles to come from Toyota since the late 90’s. Each curve and each line feels purposefully placed and well executed. Even the factory wheels are better than 90% of factory wheels on the streets today. However, as we add suspension, aero, and begin the hunt for mechanical grip, it becomes immediately clear that an upgrade on all four corners is the next logical step. The question then becomes, what fitment should you go with?
Lucky for you, we are intimately familiar with the GR-86. Understanding everything from the CANBUS system limitations to the pesky RTV oil pan issues, so wheels should be no problem. Right? Well that depends. We’ll observe three very different styles of fitment and recommend a feasible wheel. Your tire choice, which we will leave completely up to you, will determine your mechanical grip, your fender modification requirement, and the overall final fit and finish of your 86. However, we have to start with what comes factory. The GR-86 has a few wheel options, but the size reference we will go with is 18×7.5 +48 with a 5×100 bolt pattern. While the bolt pattern alone with limit you tremendously, we can all agree that the factory wheel specs are… ‘Mid’ at best.
If you’re looking for something a bit wider than factory, without having to modify your fenders or worry about your fender liners, going up 1 inch in width and down 13mm in offset is the way forward. The Rotiform DTM, starting at under $1400 per set is a perfect candidate for this fitment style, sporting an 18×8.5 +35 spec and a silver finish will be sure to add a bit more style to an otherwise factory GR86, plus you can rest easy knowing you have the history and reputation of Rotiform keeping you safe. If that’s a bit out of budget, no worries, we have countless budget options in this very fitment to get you right.
 Rotiform R170 DTM | 18×8.5 +35 (Part #R1701885F3+35)
If you want fitment so flush, there’s no dip from fender to wheel face, we recommend 18×9 +40. Flush fitment often requires some trimming of the fender wells and often times, the final result is so worth it. To achieve this look, we recommend the Volk ZE40, but if that’s out of budget, the Enkei PF05 is also a sure fit for those looking to add some dimension to their GR86 without breaking the bank.
Volk Racing ZE40 | 18×9 +40 (Part #WKZW40DA)
Enkei RPF1 | 18×9 +40 (Part #504-890-8040GM)
While those looking for battle stance (less wheel, more tire) would opt for 17” wheels, the dimensions as far as width and offset are the same as they are with the 18’s. For this crowd, we recommend 17×9 +35 to +45 with minor trimming. However, if you want a little poke, keep the diameter at 18” and go with a set of SSR GTX01’s in 18×9.5 +40, add some 200 treadwear tires, and enjoy the pass.

 Magnesium Wheel
Magnesium Wheels: A Game Changer in the Automotive Industry
Magnesium wheels are renowned for their lightweight construction, exceptional damping capacity, and impressive specific strength. Typically manufactured through casting and forging processes, these wheels have an average density that is 150% lower than that of aluminum. This unique attribute makes them highly sought after in the racing car segment. Magnesium is extensively utilized in various automotive applications, including seat frames, transmission casings, lock bodies, and airbag housings, thanks to its abundant availability.
Market Insights
The magnesium wheel market was valued at over $20.1 billion in 2019, with projections indicating a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.8% over the next decade. This growth is primarily driven by the increasing demand for racing vehicles and lightweight automobiles. The rise of light electric rickshaws and other lightweight transportation options is expected to further propel market demand. In 2018 alone, global sales of magnesium wheels exceeded 39 million units, a figure anticipated to increase by 1.4 times during the forecast period.
Drivers and Challenges in the Magnesium Wheel Market
The magnesium wheel market is experiencing significant expansion, fueled by the automotive industry's shift towards green mobility solutions. The growing popularity of electric vehicles (EVs) and lightweight transport options is driving the demand for high-quality components, positioning magnesium wheels as a preferred choice.
However, despite their advantages, magnesium wheels are not typically favored for heavy-duty applications. The competition from alternative materials, particularly aluminum, presents a substantial challenge for industry players.
Regional Market Overview
In 2018, the Asia-Pacific region emerged as the leader in magnesium wheel sales, accounting for over 42% of the global market share. The rising sales of two- and three-wheeled vehicles in China and India have created a favorable environment for manufacturers. Additionally, the gradual transition from conventional vehicles to electric models is fostering market growth for magnesium wheel companies. India and China dominate both global sales and production, housing the highest concentration of manufacturers and contract manufacturers.
Western Europe follows closely behind in the magnesium wheel market, with the majority of sales concentrated in the EU-5 countries. This region also exports products to Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and the Middle East and Africa (MEA).

Jamaican II V8
The Jamaican was developed as a fiberglass body that could be fitted to the chassis of inexpensive secondhand British sports cars of the era, including the Triumph TR3, TR4, the MGA, or the (big) Austin-Healeys.
The sleek styling ensured the kit was a success, but the company was inundated with requests for a more American version, that could accommodate a large V8 and the subsequent increase in power.
As a result of these requests Fiberfab developed a new steel chassis and a new Jamaican body that was both wider and longer. This new chassis could comfortably accommodate most V8s then in production, and an alternative form of the new body was developed that could fit over a VW Beetle chassis for those who wanted to build one on the cheap.
It’s not known exactly how many examples of the Jamaican II V8 were sold, they’re now the most valuable and sought after of the Jamaican variants, and they offer performance on-par with many American V8 production cars.
The car you see here is a Fiberfab Jamaican II V8 that’s said to have been built in 1983. It’s powered by a 5.7 liter Chevrolet V8 which is paired with a Turbo-Hydramatic three-speed automatic transmission. The fiberglass bodywork is finished in red, it has black vinyl and cloth upholstery, and it’s equipped with chrome side mirrors, 15” Enkei wheels shod with 235/60 Mastercraft Avenger G/T tires, and a push-button AM/FM radio. The interior of the car is spartan but relatively well equipped by the standards the kit car world. The Chevrolet V8 is topped by a four-barrel Quadrajet carburetor and the car independent suspension front and back, consisting of a combination of Chevrolet and Ford parts.
