Preservation. Tradition. Perseverance. The mantra of Euna’s family. Her family had once been large— the ones related to her by blood, atleast.
She remembered faint memories of her mother, her grandmother and grandfather and half a dozen cousins, aunts, uncles, laughing around a fire and eating roasted venison. Her mother’s father would tell stories of ghastly white creatures lurking in the mountains and caves, waiting for naughty children to be alone. Euna would cling to her cousin, half crying and screaming and giggling— she couldn’t even remember her cousin’s name anymore.
She couldn’t remember their faces, none of them. When she really focused her mind, their visages were like streaky paintings, a collage of colors faded and damaged and the only thing that stuck were her mother’s blue eyes. Sometimes she would dream and see her family again, but they would all be withered and bones protruding, their eyes a sickly blue glow. Nothing like her mother’s— something dangerous. She usually awoke in a cold sweat and in need of a swim.
Her papa, her father, was the only one left related to her by blood in her tribe. His hair, once deep brown, was now starkened white with age, his beard long and braided. He used a femur bone of an elk mended with a cedar branch as a cane, his left leg lame since the day they lost almost everyone.
The earth had opened and swallowed them whole, shaking with deathly tremors. Their homes collapsed in on them, the ones who hadn’t fell into the crevices in the ground. Euna and her father had been away from camp that day, swimming near the lake miles away. They came back to destruction of everything they knew— and all traces of any of their family had been destroyed by the quake. It was as if they never existed, and their camp was long abandoned. The earth gives, as it takes away.
She was young then, mayhaps too young to even know what happened. Her mind did her a favor by stowing away those memories— they’re too painful to remember.
She swam to quell the pain, ever aching and nipping at her heels. Tightening her seal fur cloak, her bare feet dipped into the water. The transformation was a swift feat for her now, as easy as changing one’s clothes, she slipped into the skin of her seal form, gliding through the water. She felt at home here, as if this was where she was meant to be. She swam past the schools of trout, chomping a few for a quick snack– rainbow trout were her favorite next to salmon and red fish. She was supposed to be on patrol, but patrol meant there was some leader, some sort of organization within their ranks. The Free Folk had no laws, no one to tell them what they should and shouldn’t do and the strongest were the ones that usually prevailed.
They weren’t even meant to be patrolling for crows that day– they could care less about the kneelers beyond the wall, they could do as they liked. Euna’s tribe had been in a few skirmishes with the neighboring free folk that dwelled past the Haunted Woods.
One of the crows screamed about an ambush– as if it was anything like that, they were just walking through, Euna swimming in the stream near the trail. Lifting her head from the water, she smelled the heady scent of the invading tribe. They had been aiming to shoot one of Euna’s companions– and landed on a crow instead.
Euna had held her knife to many throats, crow and free folk alike— but none interested her like this purple eyed fellow. She could feel his presence, smelling of ash and brimstone, underlying with musk and sandalwood. It reminded her of a smell she couldn’t quite place. The warmth that emanated off of him wasn’t normal and she wondered if he had a second layer of fat to keep warm like she did as a seal– upon second inspection, that couldn’t be true. He was a skinny waif of a man.
‘Aemond’. A silly name, with a proper way of speaking and a gemmed eye. Odd man indeed.
She strung him along, “You don’t belong with those crows do you?” she asked, “You’re more fancy, primmed n’ proper.”
He snorted, “I wouldn’t say I’m primmed and proper. But yes, I don’t truly belong to them.”
“Where are you from then?” she asked as they meandered through the snow laden woods, their feet crunching aloft the frost.
“The South.”
“Everything beyond the wall is the south to us, crow. Be more specific.”
“King’s Landing.” he responded, his voice a bit clipped.
Euna shrugged her shoulders, “Never heard of it.”
This elicited something of a laughing snort from the crow, “You don’t know much, do you, wildling?”
“In terms of you kneeler’s way of life, I ‘spose not. I heard that you all think of women lesser and her value is measured by what old lord’s seed she spawned from, and which old lord she is wedded to. Seems all a bit barbaric to me.”
“Hm.” Aemond hummed.
“You don’t talk much? Seems you’re a bit upset you got bested by a wildling savage woman, huh?”
“No. Not so much that you’re a woman or a wildling. I think I’m more ‘upset’ as you say, that I got bested by a pipsqueak. I thought wildlings were supposed to be tall. You’re hardly taller than my child nephew and niece.”
Euna’s brow furrowed, “You aren’t a solid brick, neither, crow. You’ve got a waist like a svelte little ermine,” she giggled, tugging him along further, “Too tall for an ermine, maybe a marten or polecat.”
“Gods– the punishment doesn’t seem to cease, does it? I’ve gotten captured by the mouthiest wildling in the entirety of the North.”
“Haven’t met many, have you? If you think I’m mouthy, you’re in for a surprise once we get to my camp.”
They walked for the better part of a day, Euna prattling on about various things and Aemond being mostly silent– with a few well timed quips and jabs here and there.
The wind picked up, the smell of salt and brine wafting along with the breeze. They neared a valley hugged by two cliffsides, which bordered the sea. It was a bit icy beyond, shards of glaciers floating in crystal clear waters. Below the surface were expanses of kelp forests, wafting against the tide. The valley led through to a village with quite a few buildings– most were small, home-sized, and there was a large one in the center, lit with a few animal bone sconces. Coastal caves were lining the walls of the cliffs, some lit emitting from within them.
The village came alive with people– husbands and wives welcoming home their significant others, children gathering at the feet of the warriors, and oldened parents checking in on their kin. It was all a sign of warmth, of community. Something about it made Aemond feel homesick– almost.
“Ah, Euna!” an older man bellowed. He was tall and broad with a grizzled brown beard, speckled with white, “See you caught yourself a crow, huh? Something to add to your collection of shiny things?” he clapped her on the shoulder with the force that almost sent her toppling.
“Yup– ain’t no regular stinky crow, either. He’s surely one of those fancy lords– he doesn’t speak like other crows. Mine’s got some decorum– and an odd eye like me.”
The man came forward, scratching at his beard. He observed Aemond up and down– he was at least a head taller than the scorned prince. “What’s your name, crow?”
“Aemond.” he answered, his mouth pressed into a thin line.
“Chieftan Cailean,” the broad man responded, “You’d best listen to Euna, since you’re seemin’ apart of her horde now, eh? Small she may be, but you might wake up with your balls sliced off. Ain’t no exaggeration either, seen it happen.”
“All due respect to the small one, but I am no one’s possession.” Aemond responded quickly, his voice dripping with venom. His lip was curled in slight disgust at the insinuation.
Cailean put his hands up, “I ain’t got no jurisdiction over what Euna does with her stockpile, that’s all her. But, when I hear you screamin’ and moanin’ about your lost nads, don’t say that Cailean didn’t warn you.”
Euna huffed, “Mouthy crow, don’t need you spewing stuff at my papa when we get there,” she cut a piece of leather from her tunic and wrapped it around his mouth, to which he looked absolutely livid about, “Too noisy.”
Cailean laughed– a deep, clamoring noise, “You’ve done it now, crow.”
Euna led them to a smaller hut near the shore, pushing in the driftwood door. The aroma of sea air was strong in this particular part of the village, mingling with the smell of burning sage and incense. “Papa?” she murmured, “I’m back.”
“Euna? Dear girl, c’mere,” an old voice called, “I’m at the sea door.”
Walking further into the home, it was quite cozy– a small fire pit was in the center of the main room, filtering out through a hole in the ceiling, as well as some smaller horizontal filters on the siding of the roof. It was decorated with dozens of shells and some of the finest pearls that Aemond’s ever seen– not even anything from Driftmark rivaled the quality of the pearls strung up on the walls of the house. Dried seaweed hung in the windows, which were shrouded by nearly transparent stretched pieces of leather or pelt– likely from some livestock animal, a lamb or goat. Leading on further into the abode, they stopped at the round entrance to some sort of tunnel– Aemond remembered seeing this house pushed to the back of one of the cliff walls.
An older man was standing there– he was balding, his once brown hair receding into a wispy white, his beard tied into a braid with a pearl inlaid cord. His left leg was crippled and twisted at a wrong angle, but the injury didn’t appear to be new– it was old, the skin set taut like forged steel. Against the wall was a gnarled cane, carved from cedar and a femur bone of an elk. There were images carved into the cedar, the red core of the wood eking out against the sullen brown– it was depictions of seals weaving and bobbing through a kelp forest. The man turned towards them both, raising his brow. One of his eyes was a milky white, a jagged scar going down it.
Euna felt Aemond shift slightly as he looked at her father, his eye zeroing in on his scar– the old man stared back with the same intensity. “I caught a crow, papa,” she hummed, breaking the slight tension, “He’s got a fancy eye– or two, ‘spose.”
“You got a name, boy?” her father asked, stepping a bit closer and observing him further. His eyes crinkled at the edges as he grinned, “Ah, been too mouthy, then? Euna’s got you stopped up from talkin’. Should be feeling lucky that it’s just temporary and she ain’t taken your tongue. You can call me Atohi.”
Aemond grunted in response, glaring daggers at Euna, who reached up and took out the leather from his mouth. “Aemond. Your daughter is a little beast.”
“Heard that one many times before, you ain’t the first, nay be the last to tell me I got a creature for a child,” Atohi shrugged his shoulders, “Hungry there, Aemond? Got some fish cakes baking.”
The last thing Aemond wanted to do was to feel like a guest rather than a prisoner, which he was. The friendliness of everyone was unnerving to him– their words didn’t seem to be laced with venom or ulterior motive, as far as he could tell. He wanted to refuse– but his stomach growled, and the last seven moons on gruel at Castle Black made it hard to. He clenched his jaw, “I suppose I could eat.”
“Ah, good man. Seems he’s smarter than other crows– it's rude to refuse food.”
Euna turned to Aemond, cutting through the leather cord binding his hands together, “Let you stretch your wings a bit, you won’t run, will you?”
The scorned prince glared at the wildling woman, his nostrils flaring. He looked at the Catspaw dagger still on her hip– he should grab it and slaughter the both of them and leave– but where would he go? Castle Black was a hell on its own, and he’d likely be marked as craven for returning alive after his brothers had been slain. Lord Commander Fir has had it out for him ever since he arrived, the old bastard likely spinning the tale of the scorned Targaryen prince was a coward and ran away from battle.
Gritting his teeth, he nodded, “What sort of fish is in the cakes?”
Atohi clapped Aemond on the back, leading him towards the larger room once more, “That’d be some red fish, you ever have red fish, son?” he poked at the ashes in the fireplace, turning his cane and hooking a stone grate, revealing the fishcakes within. They were being baked below the surface of the fire in a subterranean oven.
Aemond shook his head, glancing around. Euna was nowhere to be found– she slipped away as soon as she’d cut his bindings. He didn’t hear her leave, the driftwood door in front of them hadn’t been opened.
“Euna is always popping in and out, hope you weren’t too keen on speaking to her soon. She’ll be back in a bit.”
“Hm,” he snorted, sitting down in front of the fire on a log carved chair, “I need a reprieve from that hellion.”
“You’ll get used to it,” Atohi said, rolling up one of the lambskin window shades, letting the smoke ventilate further, “You kneelers seem to have a way of thinkin’ you can tame women– ain’t no tamin’ that one, you’ll die trying.”
This particular window was facing the sea, the waves rolling and waning, splashing against the cliffside near them. A gray and white seal was dancing through the tide.

Maha Sudarshana Mantra
Om Shreem Hreem Kleem Krishnaaya Govindaaya Gopeejana Vallabhaya Paraya Param Purushaaya Paramathman Para Karma Manthtra Yanthra Tanthra Oushadha Visha Aabichara Astra Shastra Samhara Samhara Mrithiyur Mochaya Mochaya Om Namo Bhagavathey Maha Sudarshanaya Om Preem Reem Rum Deepthrey Jwala Pareethaya Sarwa Digkchobhanakaraye Karaeya Hum Phat Para Bhrahmaney Param Jyothish Swaha Om Namo Bhagavathey Sudarshanaya Om Namo Bhagvathey Maha Sudarshanaya Maha Chakraya Maha Jwaalaya Sarva Roga Prashamanaya Karma Bandha Vimochanaya Paadaathimastha Paryanthan Vaada Janitha Rogaan Pitha Janitha Rogaan Shlesma Janitha Rogaan Daathusankalikoth Bhava Naanaa Vikaara Rogaan Nasaya Nasaya Prasamaya Prasamaya
The meaning of the mantra goes like this, “O Lord Krishna, you protect the universe, and you control it. You are the supreme power, and you are the beloved of the gopikas. Oh Lord, protect me from every evil power. You who has the entire world in his hands. You who holds the Sudarshana Chakra and destroys every injustice, I surrender myself to you.”
Vishnu´s hand with Sudarshana Chakra by Dhanu Andluri Sudarshana Chakra The Sudarshana Chakra (सुदर्शन चक्र) is a spinning, disk-like weapon literally meaning "disk of auspicious vision," having 108 serrated edges used by the Hindu god [Vishnu]. The Sudarshana Chakra is generally portrayed on the right rear hand of the four hands of Vishnu, who also holds a shankha (conch shell), [Gada] (mace) and a padma (lotus). While in the Rigveda the Chakra was "[Vishnu]'s" symbol as the wheel of time, by the late period Sudarshana Chakra emerged as an ayudhapurusha (anthropomorphic form), as a fierce form of Vishnu, used for the destruction of an enemy. In Tamil, the Sudarshana Chakra is also known as Chakkrath Azhwar (translated as Ring/Circlet of God).

Destruction of Daksha Yagna
Destruction of Daksha Yagna explores the repercussions of ego and the wrath of the divine. This story explains the greatness of Lord Shiva and how unrighteousness is always punished. People who mock Lord Shiva as dirty or uncivilized don't understand his glory. Most people know this story but many don't know why Lord Vishnu had to fight for Daksha. I have also gathered background for this. Let us remember the story of Destruction of Daksha yagna.
Tumblr media
The Daksha Yagna was a grand ritual organized by Daksha Prajapati, the father of Sati, the first wife of Lord Shiva. Daksha, driven by his inflated ego, invited all the gods and goddesses to his grand ceremony, excluding Lord Shiva, whom he held in disdain. This omission set in motion a chain of events that would shake the cosmos.
When confronted by Sati about Her husband’s absence, Daksha had openly ridiculed Shiva as an uncouth, ill- deserving and uncivilised personality. Devi Sati could not take the insults about Her husband and thus produced Yogic Fire and ended Herself. As Nandi informed Lord Shiva of the tragedy, the latter threw a few of His hairs against a mountain in a heightened rage and the energy created thus broke the mountain into two parts; one half of it produced Virabhadra and another Bhadrakali whom Shiva instructed for the destruction of Daksha Yagna, Daksha and whoever else attended the Yagna too. Virabhadra appeared at the site of the Yagna instantly along with a huge army of Shivaganas including Dakini, Bhairava and Kapalini while Bhadrakali entered the Place with the nine incarnations of Bhagavati like Katatyani. As Daksha got terrified of the consequences of the situation, he took refuge at Maha Vishnu who expressed His helplessness and reprimanded Daksha for his foolishness in provoking his own daughter to take away Her life. Lord Vishnu Himself attended the Daksha Yagna and several Devatas too. Vishnu had to fight Virabhadra and his army. It was rather ironical that this happened. A celestial voice confirmed that Virabhadra was invincible but meanwhile several Devas too were killed and Lord Vishnu too desisted from the battle. Virabhadra severed Daksha’s head and threw it in the ‘Agnikunda’ (Fire pit) and returned to Rudra Deva. The irony of Lord Vishnu’s fighting Virabhadra to defend Himself and the Devas many of whom were all killed and He himself had to be defensive had a background; indeed Lord Vishnu was aware of this. A King called Kushva and Sage Dadhichi were good friends earlier but the ego (Ahamkara) of each other turned out to be mighty enemies. Kushva prayed to Lord Vishnu and Dadhichi looked to Lord Shiva for help. Lord Vishnu was pleased with Kushva’s penance and agreed to punish Sage Dadhichi and even used Sudarshana Chakra which proved futile, as Dadhichi was fortified with several years of devotion and Sacrifice along with constant ‘Japa’ (meditation) of Mritunjaya Mantra under the guidance of Sukracharya. Finally, Dadhichi condoned Kushva but did not excuse Lord Vishnu and his Deities and gave the curse that they would all be turned as ash in a fight with Lord Shiva’s part- incarnation (Virabhadra). Eventually, Lord Brahma approached Maha Deva to pardon and revive the lives of Lord Vishnu and Devas who were burnt in the battle with Virabhadra. A sobered and ever merciful Shiva conceded to the prayers of Brahma that not only Lord Vishnu be pardoned but those Devas who were burnt off in the cross fire with Virabhadra be revived but also allow a revitalized Daksha Prajapati with life by placing the Yagna’s Goat- head on to Daksha’s severed head thrown out by Virabhadra in the Fire pit and thus Daksha had a Goat- head thereafter. The ever grateful Daksha begged of Maha Deva for his pardon and prayed to Him with great sincerity and devotion everafter. He then performed a Yagna again with Maha Deva on the High Seat and with all the Devas to receive their blessings!
Neither Lord Shiva was able to save Raavana Nor Lord Vishnu was able to save Daksha even though they were great devotees. The important thing here is to understand that Dharma is of paramount importance. No God will save the wicked.
Har Har Mahadev 🙏🙏

WHAT IS ROLE OF KETU IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY AND HOW DOES IT BEHAVE IN DIFFERENT HOUSES
In vedic astrology although we consider Ketu as a planet but it actually do not have its physical form. So it is also called as Chaya graha / shadow planet.
Unlike rahu, ketu do not believe in materialistic pleasure and is not a greedy planet. Since Ketu is a headless planet so it takes time in its realization and so the person feels detached under its influence.
The other reason for ketu not liking materialistic pleasure and taste anything is because the sense of taste and pleasure can be felt by the interpretation of our brain and ketu donot have head.
This is the reason when Ketu is active or a person is influenced by ketu, native actually seek and prefer solitude. Native quite loves to being alone, and remember that self-isolation is not loneliness, it just means you are taking time for yourself between regular social interactions.
A SEED GROWS WITH NO SOUND BUT A TREE FALLS WITH HUGE NOISE. DESTRUCTION HAS NOISE BUT CREATION IS QUIET. THIS IS THE POWER OF SILENCE AND THAT IS WHAT KETU IS.
Being alone is an important part of self-development. It allows you to get to know yourself. Through solitary pursuits, you learn more about yourself and reflect on your experiences.
In other words Ketu helps a person in his transformation as he in his isolation period goes thru a self-realization period which impart a lot of understand and knowledge to attend a personal change.

Cradle Fanfic (Waybound spoilers)
Since this has spoilers I’m going to put it under a read-more. I posted this in the Discord a week or two ago, and have made a couple of minor edits since then.
Striding North of Cradle
—————————————
Northstrider looked inward. The memories he had received just moments before troubled him. He had known, of course, what his original goals were — and he had told Lindon his own mantra, days before the Silent King was killed and the current uneasy balance between Monarchs and Dreadgods started to collapse.
Look for a solution to the Dreadgods. Research, plot, calculate, simulate. Obtain the assistance of those who have power to solve the problem, or do it yourself. But do not cross them. They will take everything from you given the excuse.
Those weren't his exact words to the boy, but those were his guiding thoughts ever since he had reached Archlord. As a Sage, he only became more angry as he began to learn how powerful, and thus complacent, the Abidan were.
When he became a Monarch, he had somehow deluded himself into thinking he had not joined his enemy in complacency. His philosophy remained as it was, but he never admitted that he had become part of the problem. The Dreadgods were monsters, and Northstrider defended the people from them. All except his enemies, who would put a sword in his back given the chance.
Even when he had helped Tiberian Arelius, a trusted ally, he was stabbed in the back. Not by Tiberian, but alongside him, which was almost worse. When fighting the Weeping Dragon to protect the Arelius Monarch’s people, he left himself open to Reigan Shen, who initially assisted just long enough to gain a provisional measure of trust. Then, as the Dreadgod began to prepare its legendary dragon's breath, Shen used his mastery over space to maneuver both Tiberian and Northstrider into its range. Northstrider came to in the middle of the ocean, sensing a Monarch's Remnant getting packed away in a voidspace. Shen immediately left, and too weak to defend the continent, Northstrider floated and sensed the Dragon scour its surface.
He was right not to trust the other Monarchs. They were just as complacent as him in letting the Dreadgods destroy and feed, and did nothing to find a way to stop them. They took every chance to kill their enemies...just like he did himself.
With his old memories came a glimpse of his old mindset and perspective. That was what really made him look at himself, and he was disgusted by what he saw. Northstrider had truly ignored his own hunger and greed, and its effect on the populace. While he took care of the outcasts and supported the Beast King in doing so as well, he was a large reason behind those people losing their homes in the first place. One-fifth of the reason, if only hunger aura and the Dreadgods were considered.
It was time to ascend. People were dying every second that the Dreadgods fed. Of course, that meant it would be easy for even Heralds and Sages to take what they wanted, but that was only for the lucky one or two whose own lands were not under attack. Most were either defending allies or trying to recover from their own near-destruction in the wake of the Wandering Titan and the Bleeding Phoenix. Northstrider's own charges, kept away from the disasters in pocket worlds, would be well-equipped to take advantage of the situation. And he would be able to defend many of the reeling and vulnerable locations from attack by scavengers.
As he began to think about reasons he should stay on the planet, the Empty Ghost spoke. Northstrider was half-convinced to leave, half-threatened, and soon he found himself in the Way. He drifted in irritation and contemplation, but the currents of reality soon became too buffeting to ignore. This was not entirely surprising, as Fate had been exceptionally hard to read recently, but it was discouraging. It was hard to maintain any sort of course as the deep-blue surroundings pulled him in every direction.
Once he reached a less-turbulent fork in the Way, Northstrider clenched his fist. As much as he disliked Lindon, he knew he could trust the boy to take care of his researchers and other charges. But he would likely kill Reigan Shen without giving Northstrider the chance to do it himself. And with the world being so far from the Way right now, it was likely that billions would suffer from new threats almost equal to the Dreadgods in danger, back when they were as weak as individual Monarchs.
It was too late now. He had already left, and in doing so had taken a portion of the burden of hunger aura from the world. Even more, he was no longer burdened by ongoing responsibilities. He could find new monsters to fight, new sources of strength to draw from, and in his void space he had a Dream Well holding his prototype addition to the oracle codex.
In time, he would have his own Presence, without having to serve the Abidan. As much as he admitted to himself that he had been just as arrogant and dismissive as them, he did not want to be the servant who bowed again. He would reach to gain authority here in the Way, and at the first planet he dropped off at he would recoup his spiritual strength. And then...he would wander, he supposed. And look for opponents such as the dragons, who oppressed and killed at their convenience.
As he had this thought, the currents of the Way became turbulent again and spat him out into a starry area of stable space. Northstrider quickly scanned the area and noticed a planet nearby about the size of Cradle, but made of gas. There was no star close by, but several hundred spots on the planet glowed brightly.
They illuminated two orbiting rings, one made of several city-sized rocks, and the other of vast sheets of metal, a few miles thick and thousands of miles across. He sensed a few million people living nearby in these sheets of metal. These were in turn surrounded by small floating metal boxes, like fleas.
And now that he focused, he sensed a distress signal, clearly attempting to reach out to the Way but not getting through. It was being suppressed so it only sounded in this reality, and the turbulence in the Way’s currents likely meant the signal would be too distorted to parse anyway. It was going off at multiple points across the entire metal-composed ring, so it took Northstrider a few moments to sense its cause.
On the other side of the planet, a tyrant was slicing the city-sheets in half. Killing thousands as the innards of each city was exposed to space and the surrounding regions were shaken by each rupture, but not completely obliterating them. Taking it apart, piece by piece, savoring the destruction.
Like a dragon.
Northstrider rolled his neck. One of his regrets on Cradle was that with all his power, he could only kill weaker dragons and merely push back the true monsters such as Sesh, Shen, or the Dreadgods. He had never experienced a total victory over a challenging opponent since his advancement to Monarch. Here, sensing his new opponent, he could see they only had a little more than the power of a peak Herald. In his weakened state he could potentially deal with them without damaging the cities nearby. Best of all, because the Abidan couldn't hear this world, he didn't have to look over his shoulder while doing so.
Northstrider smiled as he kicked off of empty space. If it was so easy to find opponents such as this, that he could kill without worry or regret, he would enjoy his departure from Cradle.

Identification: RTE-09
Known as: RTE / Ratty / Rat
Pronouns: They / them
Affiliation: Decepticon
Vehicle form: Space shuttle
Height (root mode): 36 ft
Function: Scavenger
Voice claim: None currently
RTE-09, usually known as simply RTE, is a loud, snarky Decepticon who's always more interested in wreaking destruction than following orders (their mantra is essentially "you didn't say it was an order"). They take the deception part of their allegiance a bit too literally, as RTE is constantly wiggling through loopholes and manipulating other bots in order to do whatever they want-- something they only get away with due to their effectiveness as a 'con. RTE truly is an intelligent bot, only somewhat held back by their short fuse and constant desire for chaos.
Despite their exterior, though, RTE has a significant softness in their spark for bots they're dedicated to. RTE is fiercely loyal when they choose to be, even if a bot is on the other side of the war. But first and foremost RTE is a master of havoc and cunning with, as Blitzwing aptly puts it, "no chill whatsoever." They're untameable, swearing constantly, barking their opinions at anybody, and always looking for a fight, maybe even with Megatron himself, just for fun. RTE just loves being a Decepticon.
RTE's designation as a scavenger puts them in the war's most dangerous lines, especially during the Quintesson war; RTE returns to the battlefield after the fighting has ended, searching for any still-useful parts and any tech left behind by the enemy. This makes them an obvious target for any cleanup crews and RTE has seen many of their own battles. It's a perk of the job and they wouldn't have it any other way!
The Decepti-Rat doesn't have much opinion of humans; they're largely indifferent to Earth, and not exactly a fan, but if you handed them a particularly chaotic human RTE would be quite entertained. They can respect any creature with as much feral energy as their own!
RTE is closest to their conjunx endura, Blitzwing; the only bot they follow as leader, Starscream; their Creature™ sibling, Shockwave; their third wheel in chaos, Astrotrain; and their best friend, for an Autobot, Bumblebee.
Although RTE is a space shuttle, they're not only smaller than most 'cons, but lighter as well! They're built with a very light frame and picking them up is, well, like holding a couple of grapes.
This works out particularly well because the more RTE likes you, the more time they spend as a shoulder creature. It's also great for scaring other bots to carry around a Decepticon almost as big as you are like they're nothing. Starscream especially enjoys taking advantage of this. (unfortunately it doesn't work with Bumblebee. RTE is still twice his size. yes they have tried. no it did not work out. RTE carries Bee around instead!)
RTE's design is largely inspired by Protogens and the Endeavor space shuttle, though no specific model is used for them. The idea came from shuttle aircraft carriers, hence why RTE is such a shoulder rat to Blitzwing :]
Their design makes them unique among Transformers, particularly their vehicle mode, as unlike the average bot their faceplate remains the nose of the shuttle. Yes, the shuttle can OwO.
RTE does have some struggles with their vehicle mode, particularly getting airborne from the ground, and will usually transform midair instead of dealing with the hassle. Blitzwing often throws them as a boost, just to be funny, and further confuse every bot in the vicinity.
The scavenger's main weaponry is the seeker missile case on their back; while they don't necessarily have precision aim, the spark-tracking missiles do just fine. And if there's collateral, well, who is RTE to complain about more chaos! They can also use the rocket boosters in their pedes and "tail" in close combat.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The mech swiveled its head quickly to the threat, narrowly dodging the incoming barrage of sharp lead with the intention to end its pilot’s struggling. The red hot thrusters screamed to life as an orange glow emanated from them, pushing the kilotons of metal through the water around the watch point. One more. One more. One more. Spark’s mutterings to itself was a chant, a plea, a mantra, a cry. She flipped a button which rocketed her mech towards the enemy mech, two makeshift shotguns that were only makeshift in creation, but just as deadly as a real one. Spark’s mech then yanked upwards towards the stars in the sky as it re-orientated itself to face the enemy mech. Laser wave missile launchers whirred to life as it finished its reloading process. Spark’s user interface beeped as a notification turned from red to green. Now. One more. The laser wave missiles launched, a flurry of beautiful light that could cleave an unaware mech into two. The enemy mech was no slouch though, they were among the pantheon of pilots that had a shot to graduate to S tier. The only obstacle was Spark. And Spark’s only obstacle to A tier was this enemy mech. Such is the life of a competitor in the Nest Program. The enemy mech blasted to the left with blue roaring jet engines propelling the enemy away from the missiles. Water splashed into the air around the robot as it began to make evasive maneuvers. They were skilled, Spark would admit that much. But not that skilled. The payload of lasers found their mark, staggering the enemy mech letting gravity do the work to tumble it into the mud. One more. Spark jetted forward, laser pistols warming up in the mech’s hands as it approached its target. One more. The mech, Doll’s Truth, raised the pistols and began to rapidly fire blue lasers at the downed mech. The damage quickly began to stack up, pieces of the enemy mech becoming hot shrapnel as it was torn apart by Spark’s barrage. One more. Spark’s user interface pinged green again as the laser wave missiles were reloaded with another satisfying kachunk sound. One more. The command center was busy and bustling as it always has been. Brown soda stains littered the galaxy themed carpet, crowds of people were watching their favorites fall in battle or steal victory on giant monitors that hung from the ceiling. And beneath the command center was a different type of busy. There was those who entered the Nest Program to prove themselves, to label themselves as the best pilot, first by self reflection then by ranking. Then there are those who wished to create mechs as a recreational activity. A train model with use and purpose that others could enjoy with you. To feel the power of a kiloton metal vehicle blast around corners and fire payloads of death to a desired spot was something unmatched. Then there’s Spark. Recreation turned into drive, which turned into its Purpose. A doll needed one. A Purpose. Immortal beings that didn’t deserve happiness, but still desired it. A Purpose could deliver that, even if only briefly.
Spark’s mech rocketed into the garages under the floating citadel of that was the command center, a place of operation for the Nest Program. Their garage unit for post fight debriefing was A10. Spark set up a nav point, making an exaggerated sigh when the reception got spotty delaying the instruction to come through quick enough for Spark’s taste. Spark’s mech was the victor in its last promotion fight, the one to raise to A Rank. Where pilots were deadly and only the best of the best stuck around to see it through to the end. As Spark’s mech entered the space, Spark could see some figures on the disembark platform standing where Spark would park its mech. In the other space of the garage hung a torn apart mech, Spark’s opponent. Spark felt a bit bad, but it easily could have been the reverse. The unsaid mutual agreement that destruction was the price for that swelling feeling of victory. The cockpit depressurized, Spark’s user interface beeping through its processes. Spark didn’t need to breathe due to the benefits of being a combat doll, but getting hit with twenty two units cubed of vacuum wasn’t at the top of Spark’s to do list either. With the sound of rubber deflating, the seal of the cockpit breaking, Spark helped the door push open, further ruining the hydraulics of the automatic process. A lady dressed in a business suit held a clip board didn’t notice Spark approach her. She was writing something down when her eyes twinkled with recognition, hearing Spark’s steps. “Pilot Combat Doll, Spark. Mech name, Doll’s Truth. You have promoted to A Rank, sign here,” The lady didn’t bother explaining it to Spark. The doll already knew the run down. Each rank had their own legal team and requiring acknowledgment for your inability to sue them in case any physical harm to your being was always required for each team. Spark almost signed Sicilia’s name from habit. The fighter has been up front for a while, it was only a whim that thrusted Spark back into the world of mech fighting. Spark signed its name and gave the pen back to the woman. The woman took out a neatly closed envelop with a clean wax stamp keeping it tightly shut. “Congratulations Combat Doll, Spark. We look forward to see your progress,” The woman’s tone was professional and light. She has probably said those same words thousands, if not millions of times. Wait. That can’t be right. Not millions. A Rank was hard to get into. There was no forgiveness for a lose streak. You could be sent back to the bottom of B Rank if got careless. No. This was genuine. Spark bowed its head to the woman, “The pleasure is mine,” The woman nodded at Spark and handed the doll the envelope. Without another word, the woman pivoted on her toes and walked away, loud steps as heels met metal floors. Spark opened up the envelope and saw something it knew was coming but still never expected. An unassuming red and black ribbon with a large crimson A at the top of it. A small tag attached explaining the purpose of the ribbon. “For achieving A Rank in Ranked Single”. Spark’s Purpose planted a smile across Spark’s lips, the fulfilling feeling of progress. But the Purpose quickly reminded its doll of what the truth was. “S Rank. Give it more,”

Negative Thoughts and Astrology Why Are You Getting
Negative Thoughts and Astrology can provide insights into the potential reasons for negative thoughts, but it's important to remember that it's not a definitive diagnosis. Your personal experiences, upbringing, and life circumstances also play a significant role. Our minds are like expansive landscapes, filled with thoughts that shape how we perceive and navigate the world. While uplifting thoughts can inspire and energize us, negative ones often leave us feeling overwhelmed or distressed.

If you're struggling with persistent negative thoughts, know that you're not alone. These thoughts can arise from a variety of factors, such as external circumstances, personal experiences, and even cosmic influences. Vedic astrology, with its deep understanding of planetary energies and their impact on our lives, offers valuable insights into the root causes of negative thinking. In this blog, we will explore the astrological reasons behind negative thoughts and uncover how cosmic forces may influence their presence in our lives.
Here are some astrological factors that might contribute to negative thoughts:
1. Planetary Influences:
Saturn: Saturn is often associated with fear, anxiety, and limitations. If Saturn is prominently placed in your birth chart, it might contribute to negative thinking patterns.
Mars: A poorly placed Mars can lead to anger, frustration, and impulsive behavior, which can manifest as negative thoughts.
Pluto: Pluto is associated with transformation, power, and destruction. If Pluto is prominent in your chart, it might lead to feelings of insecurity, fear, or control issues, which can contribute to negative thinking.
In astrology, negative thoughts or mental distress can often be linked to specific planetary placements, transits, and influences on the mind and emotions. Here are a few key astrological reasons why someone may experience negative thoughts: Let me tell You
1. Moon's Condition
The Moon sign, or Rashi, in your birth chart represents your emotions and mental state. The position of the Moon sign can influence your thought patterns and emotional responses. A challenging Moon sign placement may contribute to recurring negative thoughts. Vedic astrology provides insights into how to balance and harness the positive aspects of your Moon sign to counteract negative tendencies.
The Moon governs the mind and emotions. If the Moon is weak (debilitated, in an enemy sign, or afflicted by malefic planets like Saturn, Rahu, or Ketu), it can lead to emotional instability, anxiety, and negative thinking.
Moon in the 6th, 8th, or 12th house: These houses can cause mental stress, overthinking, and pessimistic thoughts.
Aspected by malefics (Saturn, Mars, Rahu): This can create mental disturbances or mood swings, making it hard to maintain positivity.

2. Mercury's Affliction
Mercury represents intellect, communication, and rational thinking. If Mercury is afflicted (by malefic planets like Rahu, Ketu, or Mars), it can lead to confusion, over-analysis, or negative thought patterns.
Mercury in retrograde or under stress can cause anxiety, worry, or mental agitation.
3. Rahu's Influence
Rahu is known for creating illusions, fears, and obsessions. If Rahu is negatively influencing the Moon, Mercury, or the ascendant (first house), it can result in irrational fears, obsessive thoughts, or mental unrest.
Rahu in the 8th or 12th house can intensify feelings of paranoia, confusion, or pessimism.
4. Saturn's Impact
Saturn is a planet of discipline and restrictions. However, when poorly placed or transiting certain sensitive points in the chart, it can cause excessive worry, depression, and a sense of hopelessness.
Sade Sati (Saturn transiting over the Moon) is a well-known astrological phase associated with mental challenges, fear, and doubt.
youtube
5. Ketu's Role
Ketu represents detachment and confusion. When Ketu influences the Moon or Mercury, it can create scattered thoughts, feelings of purposelessness, and negative thinking.
Ketu in the 1st or 7th house can cause a sense of mental disconnect or dissatisfaction.
6. Mars and Anger
Mars represents aggression, and when afflicted, it can result in frustration, impulsivity, and anger. This can lead to negative or destructive thoughts.
Mars in the 8th house or conjunction with Saturn or Rahu may intensify inner conflict and irritability.
7. 12th House Influence
The 12th house in astrology governs isolation, loss, and subconscious fears. If the 12th house or its lord is afflicted, it can bring hidden anxieties, negative dreams, and subconscious fears that result in negative thoughts.

8. Dasha and Transit Periods
Negative thoughts may emerge during challenging planetary dashas (periods) or transits of malefic planets. For example, a Rahu or Saturn dasha may bring periods of mental stress and doubts.
9. Weak or Afflicted Lagna (Ascendant)
If the Lagna (ascendant) or its lord is weak or influenced by malefic planets, a person might struggle with self-esteem, optimism, or positivity. Read More
2. House Placements:
Sixth House: The sixth house is associated with health, service, and enemies. If planets associated with negativity, such as Saturn or Mars, are placed in this house, it might contribute to negative thoughts and feelings.
Eighth House: The eighth house is associated with transformation, regeneration, and hidden resources. If planets associated with negativity are placed here, it might lead to feelings of fear, insecurity, or obsession.
Twelfth House: The twelfth house is associated with hidden enemies, losses, and spiritual growth. If planets associated with negativity are placed here, it might contribute to feelings of isolation, self-doubt, or victimhood.
3. Nakshatras (Lunar Mansions):
Certain Nakshatras: Some Nakshatras, such as Magha and Mula, are associated with challenges, obstacles, and karmic lessons. If you are born under these Nakshatras, you might be more prone to negative thinking.
4. Aspects:
Negative Aspects: Negative aspects between planets in your birth chart can also contribute to negative thinking. For example, a square or opposition between Saturn and Mars can lead to feelings of anger, frustration, and self-doubt.

"Mastering Strategy: The Enduring Brilliance of Sun Tzu's 'The Art of War'"
Tumblr media
"The Art of War" by Sun Tzu stands as a timeless masterpiece in the realm of military strategy and has transcended its origins in ancient China to become a revered guide for success in various domains. Dating back to the 5th century BCE, Sun Tzu's treatise has not only influenced military tactics but has also found applications in business, leadership, and diplomacy. The title, "The Art of War," serves as an alluring invitation into the world of strategic wisdom, where Sun Tzu imparts his profound insights on warfare and the strategic mindset.
Sun Tzu's treatise comprises thirteen chapters, each a strategic gem that encapsulates the essence of successful warfare. The title echoes the overarching theme—the approach to war as an art form, requiring not only brute force but also a nuanced understanding of the psychological, logistical, and strategic dimensions of conflict. Sun Tzu's teachings are framed within the context of deception, adaptability, and the ability to understand and exploit the vulnerabilities of both enemies and oneself.
The treatise begins with the famous assertion that "All warfare is based on deception." The title, "The Art of War," encapsulates this fundamental premise, emphasizing the nuanced, strategic thinking required to achieve victory. Sun Tzu's emphasis on intelligence, reconnaissance, and the understanding of the enemy's mindset forms the foundation of his strategic philosophy. The title becomes a gateway to a world where war is not just about battles but about outthinking and outmaneuvering the opponent.
One of the enduring qualities of "The Art of War" is its adaptability to different contexts. The title serves as a beacon for leaders and strategists across diverse fields who seek to navigate the complexities of competition and conflict. Sun Tzu's teachings on the importance of knowing oneself and knowing the enemy resonate as universal principles applicable to corporate boardrooms, political negotiations, and personal development. The title becomes a mantra for those who understand that strategic thinking is not confined to the battlefield but is a crucial aspect of success in any endeavor.
Sun Tzu's strategic brilliance is evident in his emphasis on winning without fighting. The title encapsulates this paradoxical approach to war, where the ultimate triumph lies not in the bloodshed of battle but in the ability to secure victory through strategic maneuvers and psychological advantage. The treatise becomes a guide for leaders seeking to minimize conflict and maximize success through shrewd decision-making and calculated actions.
"The Art of War" is not a glorification of war but a pragmatic guide to achieving objectives efficiently and effectively. The title encapsulates the dichotomy of war as both a destructive force and a disciplined art form. Sun Tzu's emphasis on planning, adaptability, and the exploitation of opportunities resonates through the pages, making the title a symbol of strategic acumen that transcends time and cultural boundaries.
In conclusion, "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu is a masterpiece that continues to shape the understanding of strategy and warfare. The title, with its enigmatic simplicity, beckons readers into a world of strategic wisdom, where the artistry of war lies in the meticulous planning, insightful adaptation, and the ability to achieve objectives without unnecessary conflict. Sun Tzu's treatise remains a testament to the enduring relevance of strategic thinking, making the title not just an invitation to study military tactics but an exploration of the timeless principles that govern success in the art of war and beyond.

Oh Goddess Durga, please protect us from all kinds of fear. Oh omnipotent Durga, I pray to you.
Oh Goddess, when you are pleased, remove all ailments and when you are angry, destroy everything that a person desires for. However, those who come to you for sanctuary never have to confront any casastrophy. Instead, such people secure enough merit to provide shelter to others.
Whoever listens to the story of the Goddess during the great Puja that is organised in the winters succeeds in overcoming all obstacles and is blessed wealth and progeny.
Oh Goddess, bless me with good fortune, good health, good looks, success and fame. Oh Vaishnavi, you are the very basis for the world. You have mesmerized the World. When you are pleased with some one you ensure his salvation from the cycle of life and death.
Oh Goddess, you who are known by the names of Mangala, Kali, Bhadra Kali, Kapalinee, Durge, Kshama, Shivaa, Dhatri, Swahaa, Swadha, I pray to you.’
Benefit : Durga Maa protects her devotee from all the evils & mishappenings and stays in his favour in every aspect of life.

Thus, it is said that the mantras are a method to connect to one’s innerself. Chanting of the Durga mantras continuously affects the chanter and the listener both symbolically. The effectiveness of these mantras is said to depend on the mental discipline involved and its correct recitation. These are words with great power, and have the potential to help solve one’s issues and relax his mind. Mantras to Goddess Durga are famous in Hinduism and are very effective for creating positive change in one’s life. However, the mantras are most effective when recited in the following ways as mentioned below.

Then, the idol or photo of deity should be placed on a clean platform where one wants to worship Her.
The deity should be worshipped with Roli (red colored powdered or red sandal), Flowers, Balepatra and Kumkum (vermillion).
Goddess Durga is, hence, a multi-dimensional Goddess, with many personas, many names, and many facets and through all her forms, She is the embodiment of sacrifice, purity, knowledge, salvation, truth and self-realization.
So, by chanting the healing Durga mantras daily, all the mental, physical and economic problems of our life would be eliminated and Goddess Durga would protect us against all types of harm with compassion.

A Newbie Guide to DPS
HALO~
I make this newbie guide in the hopes that it helps new players. The in game tutorial is...adequate, but it leaves out the nuance of playing with others. So in addition to general info I have added an etiquette guide
Suggestions welcome! But please remember that this is meant to be a general beginners guide, so I won't get into all the specifics.
Everything under the cut!
Now some people might say the DPS have it easy, and to be fair, we don't lead the charge or bring our buddies back from the dead [most of us]. But do you really think the Tank and the Healer want to do a 30 minute dungeon run? Or want to try and man a cannon while enemies keep punching them in the back of the head? They get to focus on what they are doing, because we are doing everything else!
The DPS Club is the most diverse of the job groups, so we will not be covering a lot of the class specifics [though I will point out unique traits if relevant]. For simplicity, we'll stick with group names: the close range fighters aka Melee [MNK, SAM, DRG, RPR, NIN], the long ranged fighters aka Ranged [BRD, MCH, DNC] and the magic users aka Caster [SMN, BLM, RDM]
THE RULES OF THE DPS CLUB
1. Don't Die
You can command the most destructive magics in all the world, but it won't mean much if you've been surrounded by enemies that can and will, take you out in a few hits. Luckily that's what the Tank is for! So you can freely beat the enemies heads in without worry! BUT, remember the Tank can't actually block all the damage, they just direct it. You still need to be avoiding Area of Effect moves [AOE], and generally trying not to stand right on top of the Tank, as some of the attacks can go through the Tank and hit you. This is called Cleave, and is why Tanks will typically point the boss away from the party.
For the Melee this is the part where you must learn to dance. A conscientious Tank will try to group the mobs in a way that keeps you safe, but sometimes that's just not how the dice rolls. So keep one eye on your Tank and the other on the ground lol
Ranged can literally run in circles while attacking from a distance so there's no shortage of mobility here lmao But if you're spinning like top into all the AOE's and then get Cleaved then you need to adjust your arc.
Yes, this means you too Casters. I know you guys have to stand still to attack, but if you die before you can pull off your spell it won't matter :'> One thing that can help is a little trick called slide-casting! When you are casting a spell, there is a half-second or so just before it is unleashed, where you can move, and the spell will still cast! This will take some practice to get a feel for it, but is great for especially hectic fights. At the very least: check that your health is full, that you are not in a Venn diagram of death, and that the healer isn't occupied with keeping someone else alive!
All DPS [except BLM] also have a self-Healing move [Melee & Ranged: Second Wind, RDM: Vercure, SMN: Physick], and the Melee have an additional heal called Blood Bath, which heals you as you do damage. DNC also has a party wide heal called Curing Waltz.
Some DPS also have skills that will increase the potency of healing moves for themselves and the party [MNK: Mantra, BRD: Nature's Minne], meaning you can use them before a strong attack is coming, or simply before you use your own healing move, to help you and the party recover more HP.
At this time only one DPS has a status curing skill. BRDs can use the skill Wardens Paean to remove a curable debuff from themselves or another party member.
Quite a few DPS also have their own Mitigation skill similar to the Tanks. Some only reduce damage for the user [MNK: Riddle of Earth, NIN: Shade Shift, SAM: Third Eye, BLM: Manaward, SMN: Radiant Aegis], while others will be party wide so long as they are within range [RPR: Arcane Circle, BRD: Troubadour, DNC: Shield Samba, MCH: Tactician, RDM: Magick Barrier]. Additionally, the Melee DPS have a Role Skill called Feint which reduces the amount of damage the target does to the party.
Remember, nothing is a bigger DPS loss than dying!
2. Control the Battlefield
The Tank is the leader, and they will be doing their best to make sure everything in the room is focused on them. But if things start to get crazy or if extra factors come into the fray, that's when you need to step in!
When you are facing groups of enemies [which is most of the time], you want to be using your AOE skills primarily. The Tank will also be doing this in order to keep the enemy focused on them. This makes it so the party can make a clean sweep of the enemies faster and move on to the next pull quicker! Once you get down to two or one enemies, you can start focusing on attacking one at a time.
Occasionally ranged enemies can put a damper on the AOE attack strategy though, as they tend to hang back from the rest of the group. Sometimes a skilled Tank can find a way to force them to come in closer, but if not, look to DPS these enemies down first!
If the Tank misses an enemy and it targets you, do not panic! Bring it to the Tank. Grab that random Coblyn and wave it in the Tank's face until they take it from you!
If the Tank misses an enemy, and you see one go directly for the Healer, go kick it in the face! You must get its attention on you, and away from the Healer. Then, you guessed it, bring it to the Tank!
If the Tank goes down, the enemies will divide their attention on you and your Healer. This is because their enmity [or aggro] is based on two things: who is doing the most damage, or who is generating the most enmity, and they really hate the Healers regen moves. Do your best to take the heat off your Healer and stay alive while they get the Tank back up!
Some bosses will summon extra enemies to the battle to fight you. The additional enemies [Adds] should be quickly eliminated. They typically will not have a lot of health, and will only serve to annoy and harry your party while trying to kill the boss if left alone. Sometimes extra adds will disappear when the boss dies but not always.
Melee and Ranged, you also have a couple skills that you can use to either Stun or Interrupt enemies from doing certain attacks. These are indicated by the Progress Bar, showing that the attack is charging up. The normal progress bar indicates an attack that can be stopped by Stunning the enemy [IF they can be stunned, some are impervious]. Melee can do this with the skill Leg Sweep. The flashing progress bar indicates that the attack can be Interrupted. Ranged can do this with the skill Head Graze. Remember that Stun and Interrupt are not interchangeable! Enemies who have been stunned multiple times will become impervious to it, and Bosses cannot be Stunned at all.
Extra mechanics like flipping switches and shooting cannons and so on during the battle- that's up to us! The Tank needs to keep the enemies focused on them and the Healer needs to focus on keeping all of you alive. So if the boss needs to get shot with a cannonball in order to stop it's big party-wiping attack, its up to the DPS to get it going! [This seems to be slowly getting phased out in Main Scenario, but is still present in a fair amount of optional dungeons, so it's still good to keep in mind]
3. Maximize Your Damage
You've dodged all the enemies attacks and and made sure your party is safe, now its time to turn to your enemies and do what you do best- melt those motherfuckers HP bars!
Now! This is much too large and diverse a topic for the DPS Club to really get into the nitty-gritty of it for each class, so I encourage you all to look up guides for the specific class you are interested in. Finding a training dummy in the game to test things out on to get a feeling of the class's rhythm will help too! But most importantly, READ YOUR TOOL TIPS! Hovering your mouse over them will give a detailed description of each skill. Some general tips for everyone:
Pay Attention to Your Combos! Any attack move you can do that is a part of a combo [the skill description will say it has a "Combo Action" with another skill] will do more damage if you do it in the correct order of the combo. These are also visually indicated when you start with your first attack skill, the next in the combo will have a flashing dashed line moving around the icon.
Always be Using Your Off-Global Cool Down Skills! What does that even mean, WELL, those combo moves I just mentioned? They all recharge at the same time, meaning they all have the same "Cool Down" [CD] timer or Global Cool Down [GCD]. But you'll get extra attacks that have their own CD, that are independent of your usual combo moves. This means that if you can use one of those moves to attack in between the time you are waiting for your next combo move to be available. So use those whenever possible! [if you ever read a guide and it talks about "weaving" skills, this is what they mean]
Always be Using Your Damage Over Time Skills! These are skills that then inflict a form of status or de-buff on your enemies that will cause a small amount of damage to the enemy, repeatedly, for a small amount of time. Also known as DOTs. Most of these are a single attack that affect one target, with a few exceptions: BLM and RPR- which have both a single target and Area of Effect [AOE] DOTs, MCH and NIN- which only have a AOE DOTs [NIN is ground targeted one], and BRD- which has two single target DOTs. DNC, SMN, and RDM are the only DPS that have no DOT moves as of Endwalker. HOWEVER this is best utilized on Bosses, unless you have one of the rare AOE DOT's it's a DPS loss to try an place a DOT on every single enemy. Just focus on AOE attacks for crowds otherwise.
Always be Buffing Your Damage! All DPS have the ability to either temporarily increase their damage, or increase the speed of which they attack. Many of them also get party wide versions of these skills. There are some that you may want to use strategically [such as selecting another DPS for a single target one], but for the most part use these as frequently as you can.
And for each group, here are some extra things to consider so you can up your game:
Melee- For the most part you guys want to be paying attention to how your combos work, and where you are striking the enemy from. All the Melees have a basic 1-2-3 combo, and as you get more moves, you might either get another combo set, or have your original combo make a branching point. Again read your skill info, feel it out. In most cases for these branching combos, the final skill in a set will do more damage based on if you strike from the Flank, or from the Rear. These are called Positionals. To try and explain simply: the open space on a targeted enemy circle is the Rear, and the lined spaces on either side of the Rear [up until the little notch] are the Flanks. Those are your sweet spots, dance between them!
Ranged- This is a strange spot because MCH honestly is very similar mechanics wise to the Melee group: it has a combo and relies fully on damage, but it does not have to worry about Positionals at all. On the other hand, damage for BRD and DNC is more "Random Number Generated" [RNG] based. This makes it a bit hard to make a consistent damage output, but that's okay, because you guys get to buff yourself and your pals with song and dance! DNC, always be dancing to provide attack buffs. BRDs, keep in mind that your Songs do not stack with the Songs or other BRDs, so try to pick a different Song from the other BRD to max out those damage buffs!
Casters- For you guys the importance is mostly on learning the rhythm of your magic, and making sure you position yourself well. Ideally you want to be familiar enough with the battles so that you don't have to move, and you can keep spamming spells all day. This is particularly important for BLM, as they are the least mobile of the three. Remember the slide casting trick mentioned earlier! It will take a little practice but it's very worth it. For RMD, remember that your sword skills are always more powerful if they are used when you have some magic built up!
4. The Limit Break
The battle has raged and you've got your enemy on the ropes, it's time to finish them off! It's time. To. LIMIT BREAK!!!
If you're new to Final Fantasy, a Limit Break [or LB] is generally a strong move used by a character to do a lot of damage. If you are the DPS at least. This is a multi-sectioned bar that fills gradually as the party attacks, and a Limit Break can only be used if at least one of the sections is full. For most encounters you might only get one or two sections, but many bosses will get three. The more sections full when you use the attack, the stronger it will be.
And most critically, the Limit Break is party shared [not the case in most FF games], which means if one player uses it, it has been used for everyone else too. This is why it's important for the LB to be used strategically, particularly for higher level dungeons/trials/raids.
On top of that, the LB move changes depending on your DPS Type, and how many bars are full. The Limit Break Three [or LB3] in particular is the strongest and it's attack animation is unique for every single DPS class. But the inherent way the LB attacks function is the same for each group:
Melee- a single target, hard hitting attack
Ranged- a line AOE that will hit multiple enemies
Casters- a circle AOE that will hit multiple enemies
As a general rule the Melee DPS is the one who uses the LB attack on a Boss. This is not favoritism, but rather because the Melee LB attacks do the most damage to a single target. So when you are fighting a single enemy, the party will expect the Melee to use the LB. You could do this at the start of the fight if the bars are full, or wait near the end to finish the boss with it if you prefer. If there are no Melee DPS in the party: the next most powerful LB attacks belong to the Ranged group, then the Casters.
As you get more familiar with fights, you will note there may be exceptions to the Melee LB Rule! Sometimes it's more strategic to do a Ranged LB on a certain phase of the fight. Or maybe you guys are fighting some mobs and it will save time if a Caster uses an LB on them so you can move along. There can also be situational exceptions where you don't want the DPS to LB at all! If a raid isn't going well, you might save the LB3 so that the Healer can use it instead for a full party raise! And there are a couple instances where the Tank might need an LB3 to shield the party from a boss attack that may otherwise wipe the group.
General DPS Etiquette
Dungeons & General Tips
If you notice the Tank run into battle without their Tank stance, remind them to put it on! A lot of times the game will turn off their stance when they enter a new duty and they might forget to stance up again because of it.
On a similar note, remember how you are in the field, the name of the enemies you attack change color when they are aggressive towards you? You can use that cue to spot when the Tank has successfully engaged all the enemies, making it safe for you to attack after with no worry of repercussion!
Leave the AOE attacks for the enemy groups. When you face a single enemy or a Boss, use your single target attacks. They are much stronger than your AOEs, so they are worth more in the long run when you fight a single target.
When the enemy is doing a visible AOE move, usually visible on the ground and in orange, that area is dangerous only when it is orange. Yes, even if the attack animation is still going. So you can move back into that into that space immediately after it stops being indicated on the ground! More time for attacking! [There are like...maybe two exceptions to this in main game lol you'll remember when they happen. The party will likely warn you even!]
Ranged guys! You have a really fun move called Peloton that makes everyone in your party run faster [when you're not in combat]. Everybody likes it when you use this :D
Ranged and Casters, be mindful of your position relative to your Healer. Their heal moves only go out so far, so if you're on the other end of the battlefield, they won't be able to hit you with their AOE Heal Skills!
SMN and RDM, you guys are in the unique position of being able to Resurrect [Rez/Res] fallen players like your Healers can! For SMN this is called Resurrect and for RDM it is Verraise. This can be extremely helpful if the Healer has already used their Swiftcast to Res someone else or is otherwise occupied. Or dead. RDM specifically, is able to spam this skill quickly by virtue of its Dual Cast mechanic. You can use a fast spell [like jolt], and then be able to cast Verraise again instantly!
BRDs don't forget about Wardens Paean! Like the Healers Esuna skill it picks one status to remove at random, but unlike Esuna the cool down is much longer. Since the healer will likely prioritize themselves or the Tank first, if the whole party has been hit with a status effect, a good bet is to use it on yourself or the other DPS! Or maybe if the Tank has multiple status effects on them, use it on them so the Healer has one less thing to worry about!
Every so often you'll encounter a Boss that is charging a party wiping attack. For the most part [again some of the older side content is not up to date with the new indicators] you can tell this is happening when a completely different looking progress bar appears on the screen. It typically has a silver frame and fills up at snails pace compared to the usual one. This is the DPS check and it is your time to shine! Usually the Boss themselves is not the target in this case, but something else on the field. Whatever it is, it's your job to crank up the damage and turn it to dust before it does the same to you!
If you ever see a player get marked by another player with an icon [they are by default a white icon hovering over the character, either a number or a shape] usually this is to indicate this player knows the fight very well, and to follow them! This is often used in more chaotic trials or if the party has wiped a few times, to help the newer players know where to go to avoid dying. Not all players know how to do this though [or there's not enough time], and they might just start jumping in place on the safe spot, so look for that too! XD
DO NOT run in front of the tank, wait for them to pull the aggro first. Despite what the Duty Support/Trust systems would suggest, DPS do not lead the charge, because you would die in 5 seconds. This doesn't happen in those settings because the Tank is programmed to be glued to your ass. Please wait for your Tank!
DO NOT PULL FOR THE TANK. I know it seems like I am the same point twice, but I am this time referring to purposefully running ahead of the tank to pull enemies back to them. Please do not do this. How many enemies are being fought at one time is a decision that must be balanced between the skills and comfort level of the Tank and the Healer. You should not be deciding this for them!
Raids
When you are in a Normal Raid, the party becomes an 8 player team, and for the most part the same rules apply as when you're in a Dungeon or Trial. Even the use of the LB. But when you are in an Alliance raid, you are joined by two additional 8 player teams. This makes battles chaotic and fun, so there are some extra things to keep in mind:
Any party buffs you have or can give to other players will not be given to the other Alliances, they will only reach your own Alliance. This includes AOE Healing.
HOWEVER, players of other Alliances can be healed or rezzed if directly targeted when using the skill.
The LB is shared only with your Alliance. This means each alliance will have its own LB bar. Typically it is in the Raids that you want to keep an eye on how your team is doing before using the LB. If half your party is down, consider letting a Healer do it. But if you're the last man, may as well go for it!
For the most part Raids [at least not the regular difficulty ones] do not have DPS specific mechanics to watch out for like they have for Tanks and Healers. But the Raids are very diverse and many of them have unique mechanics, plenty of which may require the DPS to handle. And there are lots of online tutorials on dungeons and raids to help you make sense of them!
NOW GO! AND DEMOLISH YOUR ENEMIES >:3c

Worship Maa Katyayani - Maha Lakshmi on the 6th day of Navaratri
Tumblr media
🌹 Worship Maa Katyayani - Maha Lakshmi on the 6th day of Navaratri 🌹
The 6th day of Navaratri festival is dedicated to Maa Katyayani, the 6th Avtar of Goddess Durga. Once there was a great sage named Katya and it was his wish that Maa Durga be born his daughter. He practiced austere penance for several years to please the Gods. The trinity of Gods - Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva - got enraged and they designed Goddess Durga, who was an end result of the abilities of all deities. Since she was born to Katya, she was called Katyayani.
Maa Katyayani has 3 eyes and 4 hands. She holds a sword in Her one left-hand and a lotus in another. The other 2 hands respectively show protecting and allowing actions. If you make vow of fasting and worshipping her, she would bless you with the husband you have wished and prayed for. If a lady's marriage is getting delayed due to one or the other reason, she may worship Maa Katyayani to remove obstacles that may be causing delays in her marriage.
Maa also blesses you with better health and wealth. By worshipping Maa Katyayani, you may develop great strength to fight all disease, sorrows and fears. In order to destruct the sins accumulated over your several lives, you should religiously worship Maa Katyayani.
Katyayani is the daughter of Sage Katyayan , he worshiped Ambika to grant protection from all evil forces to the society . Pleased by his tireless penance and oblations to fire / homa , the Goddess appeared and asked him to ask for a boon . Katyayan replied if you'll be born as my daughter and protect the world from Asuras it will be his greatest fortune. The Devi smiled and gave him his desired boon.
Goddess Katyayani is non other than Mahishasura Mardini , the slayer of buffalo demon who terrorised even Bramha , Vishnu and Shiva . Katyayani is a ferocious warrior form of Goddess whose name itself terrorises the negative forces . She's ferocious but compassionate at heart .
🍀. Spiritual Significance :
Katyayani is the spiritual fire in a human being who takes down the six enemies of Kama ( lust ) , Krodha ( anger ) , Lobha ( greed ) , Moha ( attraction ) , Mada ( pride ) and Matsarya ( jealousy ) , Mahishasura is a unified form of these enemies hence he can only be slayed by the Divine consciousness which is Mother Katyayani . She holds the chandrahaasa sword , which destroys negativity and grants meditative mind.
Katyayani is the great power of transformation, who transforms compulsions into positive actions . She refines the inner nature of a spiritual aspirant and makes him / her fearless to go deeper into the spiritual depths of their own self .
🌻. Mantra and other Facts : Recite the below-mentioned Mantras to get the blessing from the almighty Maa Katyayani.
ॐ देवी कात्यायन्यै नमः॥ Om Devi Katyayanyai Namah॥
या देवी सर्वभू‍तेषु माँ कात्यायनी रूपेण संस्थिता।
नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥
Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshu Ma Katyayani Rupena Samsthita। Namastasyai Namastasyai Namastasyai Namo Namah॥
Goddess Katyayani is one of the violent Devi in the nine goddesses of Navratri. At the same time, she shows mercy upon devotees and blesses the devotees with affection and fulfils all their wishes. That is why it is believed that from Gopis of Mathura to Maa Sita and Princess Rukmani have worshipped Maa Katyayani for her blessings.
