I get why it happened but I really do think we missed a trick when low(ish)-power consumer electronics switched from AA/AAA/C/D/CR2032/CR1616/LR44/whatever batteries to bespoke lithium packs and USB charging ports. Why couldn't we live in a world where interchangeable, rechargeable cells became dominant instead. (e.g. eneloops, etc.)
I don't wanna have to scour eBay and Amazon and so on looking for replacement parts when my devices stop holding a charge; I wanna get that shit from the grocery store.

Me 🇭: Mmmmm! These trio of Mickey D's we're pretty damn good! I've already tried these three meals 🍔🍟🍦😋, with the "Quarter Pounder" was so juicy as the "Big Mac" (which I also tried that, too) before! And you know what, I remember ordering two Quarter Pounders at the McDo 🇵🇭 for the price of one! 🍔🍔😋 His purchasing Duracell batteries for his XBOX ONE controller, on the other hand, sounds a decent choice. However, he should it buy a long-lasting "Rechargeable" batteries (like my "Eneloop"), instead. Just saying. 🔋🎮😊 Nonetheless, I could imagined that I'm playing XBOX games with him, while we're munching our Mickey D's! Yum-yum! 😁

My mom gave me a quarter pounder hamburger and fries from McDonald’s.
Plus a Duracell batteries for my XBOX ONE controller. I wish I had a Duracell charger so I don’t get more batteries…

My 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ Review w/ my Panasonic Eneloop AA Batteries - Part 18 (Recorded Video and Photos) [Oct 18, 2021]
Hi, here’s Part 18 of my 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ Gamepad w/ my Panasonic Eneloop AA Batteries.🎮🔋🔋
Okay, so do you remember when I said that there's one device that I want to try out and I'll keep as a secret? Well, here it is.
So in today's part, I'm testing out my legit Eneloop AA batteries through my recent (and malfunction) 8bitdo gamepad and see will it work.🎮🔋
But before that, how's my 8bitdo gamepad going?
Ans: Well, despite I put parentheses, my recent 8bitdo gamepad is still sick after my Macros map test gone wrong.🤒 At first glance when I turn on my gamepad after a rest for hours it works just fine. But while I was in the middle of playing online the malfunction problem still effects on my gamepad. Usually when I pressed the select button my entire control freezes, including two analog sticks. So, I have to leave my online game and testing buttons one more time at the gamepad-tester website. Weirdly enough, when I press the heart button all of the buttons and analogs are now functional as usual. Well...Sometimes. But bottom-line, my recent 8bitdo gamepad is still sick. I'm having a hard time playing online with my malfunction controller; so much so, that I need to buy another one. 😔 Or in this case, a better one than the successor. So yeah, that's my update about my malfunction 8bitdo gamepad.
If you didn't saw my 8bitdo SN30Pro+ gamepad's malfunction problem, then please [CLICK ME!].
Alright, let's move on to my recent part.
*But before that, I want YOU… Yes, you, which you’re reading my description. I want you to watch my recorded video first 📹📲 (as an observation) before you read the rest of my reaction experience. Hope you’re watching…
So without further ado, let’s get started:
My experience:
• As you saw in my recorded video I removed the battery pack and replaced it with my two legit Eneloop AA batteries. So from the looks of these batteries, they're quite fit and snug well. This is something that you've already seen on your Xbox wireless controllers, when the battery pack is not working you could always use two AA batteries. Anyway, I tested at the gamepad-tester website for response buttons with my AA batteries equipped and it seems just fine as before. (Although my 8bitdo gamepad itself is still not okay.) Unlike my 8bitdo's battery pack included from my recent gamepad, the Eneloop batteries deliver a long-lasting power until it needs to recharge, despite the rechargeable act. I'm not sure how long will it takes for my 8bitdo gamepad's gameplay with my Eneloop batteries equipped but as long as forever then there'll be (a) long haul gameplay for me.
BTW: Did you see the extra light from that first part? That's my USB led ring light w/ stand. Yup, I've purchased that item without doing a reviewing it because I need it for some shed light at the front.
1st & 2nd Image(s):↓

• Here's what it looks like when I equip my Eneloop AA batteries onto my 8bitdo gamepad. My paper dolls say that they look quite matched. Mmm... I guess so. 🙂
Overall:
• This is a perfect match between my 8bitdo gamepad and my legit Eneloop AA batteries. I mean, my included battery pack is okay, about "20 play hours with 4 hour charging time" according to their official website, but replaced with my AA Eneloop batteries are much longer playtime.🕛⬆️🔋
• Unfortunately, as I already mentioned before, my recent 8bitdo gamepad had a serious malfunction problem from my stupidity test. Well... I wouldn't say "stupidity" but you get the point. 😟*Sigh* 😔 But hey since I have my backup bucks on my wallet I could earn a little more until I get my hands on the new "8bitdo Pro 2" gamepad. And once I get the Pro 2 gamepad then I'll be doing a final part for my 8bitdo SN30 Pro gamepad and that is the mobile phone connectivity with my Honor 8C smartphone.🎮📲
Well, that's all for now. And If you want to see my previous related 8bitdo item(s), then I’ll provide some links down below:↓

PSA: rechargeable batteries
Sitting here marvelling at the fact I’ve had my little Zenith radio playing at low volume, continuously, for well over a week, on six of Panasonic’s Eneloop rechargeable “AA”s. I leave this 1963 Zenith Royal 755LK Deluxe on continuously, at low volume, on my nightstand. Before I got it, someone replaced the original “six C cell” battery holder with a six AA holder. After over three years of using and recharging, I have to say these batteries continue to amaze me.

This is the last working Zenith I am allowing myself to keep. It’s an amazing sounding radio, and can blast if you want it to. Leather case, hand stitched. Chromed metal grille. Made in 1963, it’s a testament to how things were made.
It plays tuned to my home transmitter, at 1340AM, whatever I’ve decided to put on “repeat” for the night, usually something by Brian Eno, either the first side of Discrete Music, or the two albums with Harold Budd. Other times some old-fashioned “hearts of space” type music, like Marcy Hamm’s “Z”. Depends on my mood and what I’ve had to deal with. lulz.
Point of Post, old man...get! to! the! point!
I have to applaud Panasonic for the whole Eneloop concept. Gone are the days of buying AA, C, and D...you just have AA now, and SLEEVES they slip into, or that enclose them, which take the space of the old C and D batteries. Genius system, if the AAs have as much juice/power as the Ds and Cs, and well, YES...YES THEY DO!
So: some of the old big Zenith Trans Oceanics used a total of ten D cells to run. It played for months on end without having to buy more, but it WEIGHED another ten pounds when the batteries were all installed.
These Eneloop things charge in 5 hours with an old “energizer” wallwart charger I bought years ago. But one charge lasts and lasts, and they can be charged thousands of times, before they show wear.
So if you gotta use batteries, use Eneloops. The idea of being able to eliminate literally dead weight in old fashioned D cells, your radio just got lighter, your big flashlight just got lighter.
Initial investment is not all that big a layout of cash, considering how long they last, and how well they work. I literally counted up how many batteries I use regularly, and only bought as many of the AAs and AAAs as necessary. I was prepared to be disappointed, but they work too well for that! And this is coming from a guy who has to scrape for every penny to exist.
If you need AAA, you do have to buy the AAA versions, of course, because they are so much smaller than the AA, and no adapters for those.
Speaking as a generally broke person, for who many times there is no money to even think about for things like batteries, especially when they are needed most, so I research any and everything before I lay out money at all now, and when I’m pleasantly surprised by something, I feel it my civic duty to tell other broke people (and those not so broke) about it.
Right now, things are tighter than tight. But if my flashlight goes out tonight, I know I don’t have to dig through the change jar to buy batteries. If you have something that uses batteries that you HAVE to use, to lay out $$ for batteries regularly, these Eneloops are the best rechargeables I’ve ever had.
The original four AAs I bought as a test over three years ago are in this radio now. Still going strong. I know that in these past three years I would have had to spend more money than the initial layout to get these.
