You stood in the kitchen, tapping your phone frustratingly. Your nose scrunched up as, once again, another error message popped up on the chat screen. The group chat between you and the two Johnny Cage's had been wiped clean a few days ago, and there seemed to be no way to recover it. Your call history was out of whack too.

"Bah!" you huffed. Whatever, you'll make a new chat later. The only hard part was finding a new meme to name it after. Oh, well.

"Shinnok, I'm headed to work," you called. Shinnok rose from the couch a bit, having been draped in a blanket. He grunted, turning away from you. You chuckled in return. "Stay out of the snack drawer while I'm gone."

"I'm not going to touch your damned chips.." Shinnok groaned, nuzzling back under his blanket like a pouting child.

"I'll hold you to that."

And thus you left, ready to slave away at the office. Again. God, you hated it here..

Minutes later, when Shinnok knew you were long gone, he rose from the couch. Immediately, he began pacing the length of the apartment, hands behind his back, and muttering impatiently.

"Where the hell are those irksome pests…?" he growled under his breath.

A round of knocking sounded from the door, and Shinnok quickly waved a finger to unlock it. The older Johnny Cage entered through the threshold. He gave Shinnok a once-over, not exactly fond of the memories the fallen Elder God gave him.

"About time!" Shinnok huffed.

"Yeah, yeah, don't get your balls in a twist," Johnny sighed. He put his hands on his hips. "The other me is downstairs breaking [Y/n]'s lease." He pointed at Shinnok sternly. "Do not ask how."

"Yes, whatever. Did you do what I said to do?" Shinnok asked, hands balled behind his back.

"Yeah, the land is squared away."

"Good. Let's not delay."

One very straining teleportation spell later, Shinnok and Johnny stood on a hill overlooking a large plot of grassy land. Layers of mountains sat far off in the background, each shades of blue and gray. It was secluded, untouched, and far away from honking cars and overpriced rent.

"Perfect," Shinnok said. He then turned to address Johnny. "You said you had photos?"

"Yep. Here." Johnny handed Shinnok his phone, where he'd pulled up various images from across all of [Y/n]'s social media. All the images were house-related, and there was a clear theme. Shinnok nodded.

"Very well," he said. He tossed Johnny back his phone and let his magic glow in his hands.

"Soo.." Johnny began. "You really think this will make you stop wanting to do things for [Y/n]?"

"Of course it will!" Shinnok spat. Johnny wiped some spit off his face. Shinnok huffed. "It will work. I know it. If I give that mortal what they desire most, I will be free of their wretched spell."

Johnny sighed. [Y/n] really had him wrapped around their finger, huh?

"All right, do your thing."

"Johnny, what the hell?" [Y/n] asked. As soon as she'd gotten home, movers were packing her things, with the younger Johnny Cage standing in the middle of them and making sure things were going okay.

"Good news, Jailer of Shinnok. You don't have to live here anymore!" Johnny said. He pointed to the hallway, making the movers march your stuff out of the apartment and down the hall.

"What?" You stutter, hands waving about confusingly. "The hell do you mean? Where's Shinnok?" You asked, not having spotted him at all since you arrived. "Johnny, where's Shinnok?"

Johnny put his hands on your shoulders, turning you and pushing you out the door despite your protests. "Your househusband is fine; just follow me to the helicopter."

"The fucking what?"

One very, very long helicopter ride later, you were miles away from New York. The blinding skyscrapers had been replaced with wooded mountains, and the sounds of cars and people were long gone. Now birds and bugs of all kinds chirped about, leaving you in near-complete peace. The only reason it wasn't completely peaceful was because the house sitting in the field in front of you was a complete giveaway to what had happened. As the movers unloaded your things from their own helicopter, you took a deep breath before turning to Shinnok.

"Why?" you asked.

"Why what?" Shinnok replied. You sighed once more.

"Why did you conjure me a house?" you said more specifically, keeping your tone light and questioning. You knew what this was about; hell, you've suspected it ever since Shinnok got his head reattached. You just never said anything so as to let him figure it out first.

Judging by his answer, he still hadn't, and he was still so oblivious to his own damned feelings.

"I wanted to," he answered. Both Johnnys gave each other a look while you pinched the bridge of your nose. Yes, you were grateful for the house. Ecstatic even. But the fact that Shinnok was still so clueless wasn't even fun or endearing this time. It was just…

"You wanna kiss me so bad it makes you look stupid!" You blurted it out then and there. The younger Johnny was quick to pull out his phone and press record before you continued. "Shinnok," you spoke more softly, taking the fallen Elder God's hands in your own. "For someone so old, you really are dumb. You've lived with me for three months now. You've cleaned the apartment, you've cooked meals with me, you've eaten meals with me, and you taught me bone magic.." You huffed. "You've not even threatened the realms since you gained your body back. I swear to the gods, you are so, so stupid--"

A pair of surprisingly soft lips shut you up, and a pair of hands pulled you just a bit closer, pulling both of your faces out of the line of sight of Johnny's camera. It was a quick kiss, but that didn't mean you wouldn't melt into it, which you did fairly fast. Fucking finally..

"Enough, you're making my chest hurt…" Shinnok said in an accepting tone as he pulled away. His eyes were much softer now—not that most people would be able to tell, but you. In turn, you gazed up at him with a lightly wrinkled nose and a soft pink glow on your face.

"You could've warned me," you mumbled, earning a grunt from Shinnok.

"I could have," he said, placing his hand on your cheek. Your face was so soft. "But I like this expression on you."

"Clearly.."

Shinnok snorted, his lips tuning up in a smirk that made you roll your eyes. He took your hand and brought it to his lips, giving a kiss to the back of your hand.

"Now, come along. I put hours into this home of ours, and I will be giving you the grand tour," he said. Still holding your hand, he walked away with you, leaving both Johnny's behind. The younger Johnny was miffed he didn't get his picture, and the older one crossed his arms with a nod.

"Y'know, I think this will work," Older Johnny said.

"Work how? I missed on my pic..." Younger Johnny whined. The older one hit him on the back of the head.

"I mean [Y/n] and Shinnok. I really don't think we'll have to worry."

Younger Johnny groaned, shaking his head. "Whatever, old me. But I am not the one who's explained that," he pointed to Shinnok and [Y/n] entering their new home," to Raiden."

"Oh..." Older Johnny's face fell. "Uh, flip a coin?"

Shinnok led you throughout the house, showing you everything he so meticulously put together just for you. He was proud of himself, and you could tell so.

It was such a relief, honestly. As soon as Shinnok understood how badly he liked you, he went into full devotion mode for you. When he got around to showing you the bathroom, he hummed with his chin in his hand.

"I'll have to make the shower bigger; it's not nearly big enough for two."

"You--huh?"

"Also," he turned, taking you in his arms. "I hope you know I no longer intend on sleeping on the couch."

The way your nose wrinkled as you blushed would never get old to him. The way you made his chest ache would never get old to him. The way your hand felt in his would never, ever get old to him.

He smiled.

"I apologize for taking so long to see how much you've grown on me," he said, leaning down to kiss your cheek. You sighed with a chuckle.

"And I'm sorry for making you do all the cleaning," you said. "I'll help out--"

"No," he cut you off. His hands trailed from your arms, down your sides, and to your hips. "I fully intend to do all the cleaning myself." His face leaned in closer, and his lips met yours in a much, much deeper kiss than before. His hands squeezed your hips—not nearly enough to hurt, but definitely enough to show his devotion. When the kiss broke, he let you recover, looking at your dazed face. Then he leaned in to whisper," Of course, I expect to be fully compensated for my devotion to you, my dear."

Why did Runningbrook get shot? That’s a pretty horrifying way to die, especially if any other cat was nearby to see it happen :(

It was!

So this time, the Suburban Expansion of TNP is getting overhauled. I've actually sat down and worked out a couple human factions; the

Land Owners (Windovers)

Unnamed Development Company (Devco)

The Scientists.

The cats won't be able to notice that there isn't just one group of humans at play here, but you will be able to notice them if you pay close attention to what's happening during the first part of TNP. The three groups interact very differently with Clan cats.

The FIRST group at play here, and the one that isn't a player for very long, is the Windovers. It's openly known by the locals that the cats in the woods are 'a bit strange', especially the farmers near WindClan. The Windovers own that land, and lease it out to various hunters and visitors and such.

But they've been approached by Devco, who want to expand Chelford by purchasing their land.

Problem that the Windovers have: If it gets out there are sapient cats, complete with religion, war, and possibly even tool use (rumored but unconfirmed) there's going to be a HUGE problem in selling it.

SO they're trying to 'quietly' deal with the pests. First they poisoned the rabbits, knowing that they eat those. That worked a bit. Next, they tried to scare them off by actively setting deadly animal traps, and taking shots as if they're pest rabbits. That was how Runningbrook died.

(If I end up moving away from gun, she will end up dying to some sort of snare. The point here though is that it's a, "Wait! They're trying to hurt us!" moment)

Around this point, the sale goes through and suddenly Windover persecution stops. NOT their problem anymore, THANK god, Windovers Exit Stage Right.

But at this point, the Clan cats are well aware that they are being actively targeted. Several cats were poisoned, injured, or outright killed. Devco begins development, first cutting through the trees near the Thunderpath, and eventually bringing in the Bulldozer

Which, Speckletail deals with! Buying them just a bit more time. Suddenly, it's calm for a bit, like they're "mourning their monster."

But THIS is actually the moment where Millie's Radio Collar begins; a cat attacking a construction worker is not something that can be ignored, it's all over the news, "CAT ATTACKS BULLDOZER, CLAIMS LABOURER."

(The Windovers got out just in time, they KNEW something like this was going to happen but now it's Devco's problem)

So this is where the Scientists come in. There's a huge clamor over this, Locals saying, "THE CATS ARE SPECIAL," others saying they need to be removed and rehomed, in any case, it's agreed that the White Hart west of the road needs to be de-catted before construction continues (though construction continues to the west, where ShadowClan is)

And this is when the "round-up" efforts come in, where there are live traps, a big white tent set up, and the cats are going to get weighed, tagged, and studied.

These guys are peaceful and DO NOT want to hurt the cats; but the Clans don't know that. To them, humans are a monolith and they're now terrified of them.

From here, the story returns to normal. A coordinated effort from the Clan cats frees the cats they've captured. Graystripe is the only one the scientists are able to hold onto, by slamming the door of the van just before he can leap out. Millie is later released with him, wearing a radio collar accurate to the tracking tech of the time.

And that brings us to the way humans interact with Clan cats now! The team tries to keep their distance to not stress them out any more, using trail cams and staying several hundred feet away while observing them.

Piggy health update 2.0

We've ruled out constipation as the cause of her issues, she's been on a laxative for a while and has only gotten worse, she's not constipated anymore but is still vomiting daily. I removed my mango tree from the apartment to see if that would help but no luck. I got a new bag of food and thoroughly washed her food container and bowl. I even bought a new window A/C unit.

I was about to just accept that she has IBD and do the invasive testing required to get an official diagnosis but my mom suggested she go back to their house for a while just to make sure it's not something in my apartment. She's probably going to go there for 1-2 weeks probably to see if she stops vomiting. There could be something we can't see like mold, pests, bad water, etc that's causing her to be sick here.

I don't know what I'm going to do if it is the apartment tbh, I'm locked into a year lease and also don't have the time to apartment hunt and move again with school starting in a few days. She's my ESA so I can't just be without her until my lease ends, either. Hopefully if that is the issue the landlord will be reasonable.

"I missed you to." Rubbing soothing circles of his tense back.

"After today I won't be able to hug you. He's coming home" chifuyu said still not letting you go.

"We forgive but can't forget huh" you whispered

"Yeah" he said sniffling a little as Though he was trying to hide his tears.

"Come on I just made coffee" you said letting go of your junior and walking into the apartment he bought for you even though you said you could get your own with your job. You still remember him arguing with you saying baji won't forgive him if his living girlfriend would be living in some corrupted pary of town when chifuyu could have put her in a better and safer apartment. You only played your bills water, electrical and every other convenience you needed. No need for rent because he bought the place for you.

"I haven't been here since I got this place for you." He said looking around like it brought back some memories for him. You poured out another cup of coffee and handed him the fresh cup. Your food already heated you toon it out pulling two sets of chopsticks out handing him the extra to eat along side you. He pulled two dishes from the dish rack on the sink and placed them on the island in the kitchen. Both of you shared the take out and drank your coffees in silence. Once finished he said he would do the dishes for you while you bathe and changed your clothing to go on your trip with him. You took your shower and changed into the clothing you out. You didn't hear a sound in the kitchen assuming chifuyu finished the dishes you walked out of the bedroom and into the living room. You saw him with a dish towel in hand drying off his wet hands as he stared at the framed photos.

"Ready?" You asked shocking him slightly.

"Yeah" he looked to you and then back at the photo he was looking at before throwing the dish towel on the nearest surface. "Sorry we gotta go. You don't mind getting that do you" he said pointing at the dish cloth.

"Gee chifuyu thanks for the lesson in I will be picking up after him everyday." Chifuyu chuckled.

"I came with the car I'm leaving you. I'll call one of the guys to pick me up later" he said pulling out an alarm remote alone from his pocket.

"Where's the keys?" You said stopping to pull your shoes on and grab your purse as he did the same with his shoes.

"It's keyless." He said.

"Really?"

"Can you stop being skeptical about advancement in technology" he said offering you his arm. Accepting the small gesture he led you to the car he said he wanted to leave to you. It was definitely imported and looked very expensive.

"Chifuyu why are you giving me this very expensive car. I know nothing about head kinds of cars." Started panicking a little he gave your hand on his arm a gentle squeeze with his free hand to calm you a little.

"It's ok I'll take care of you and him" he said with a small sad smile. Disarming the car he made sure you were seated first in the passenger seat and strapping the seat belt around you closing the door and then running to the driver side. He strapped himself in and pressed the start ignition button next to the steering. Checking the time it was now 9 am.

"Just enough time to get some essentials alone" you mumbled. He mumbled his yeah and the journey began. He helped with getting things a man would need and loaded the car trunk. Then continued to the prison. It was 12 pm on the dot.

"You think he left already?" You asked looking nervously at the prison door.

"I met him last week he said he would wait for us" at the same time the big gates swung open slightly and the said man walking out with his small bundle. Chifuyu pressed the horn and said man looked up with his sandy brown eyes. Leaning over to look out the window with chifuyu. "Kazutora!" He called his name.

"I'm nervous fuyu" you whisper to the young man.

"Don't be" you climbed into the back seat and twiddled your thumbs together.

"Hey guys" kazutora said climbing in and strapping the seat belt on.

"Hi" you and chifuyu said together. You in the back seat an embarrassed mess. Not expecting him to be there so close in the flesh. Chifuyu drove off again and the both of them having casual conversations as you stayed quiet. Looking at the side view mirror outside you noticed he was looking at your reflection secretly. When your eyes made contact he gave a small smile and continued to speak to chifuyu. Covering your face with both hands you smiled like a little girl. Working up the courage now you stuck your hand between the seat and car frame itself to touch him. You felt his shirt first then moved a little further more and made contact with his flesh he jumped a little but regained composure. He pushed his hand between the seat and car frame as well to wrap his index finger with yours as he and chifuyu still talked about toman and taking it back. Chifuyu glanced in the rear view mirror to see that you were now leaning on the passenger seat figuring out what was happening he just smiled a little at you and focused on the road again.

"Kazutora."

"Yes chifuyu."

"I'm leaving name Chan to you. Please protect her. Please love her. Please be at her side till death do you guys apart." Looking at chifuyu surprised

"I promise to be everything to her. Please leave her to me" kazutora said. "I love her I love her with all my heart. Thank you for taking care of her up till now."

"Yeah let's get you something to eat" chifuyu said pulling into a drive in. And placing an order for the three of you giving kazutora his credit card to pay at the window. When he returned the card to chifuyu he shook his head no. "We got you some essentials but you still need clothes and stuff. Take that card and go shopping for clothes and stuff with name Chan tomorrow for yourself." Chifuyu said digging in the fast food bag for a packet of fries as he drove and packet between his legs.
