Bambi the Elf Prince AU:
Bambi Álvaldur is a young, gracefully built, beautiful Light-Nature elf prince of Alfheim in the United Regions of Forrest Kingdom. The only heir of the Great Prince Albrénean and his wife Frida, his birth was celebrated by not only the Alfheim, but also other regions’ magical creatures in the kingdom. Raised by his mother Frida and nanny Mena with their guidance and nurturing care, he shared most of his childhood with his best friends, Thumper the Dwarf, Flower the fairy, and Faline the nature elf girl who developed a crush on him at first sight.
In the Winter, Frida took her son to the borders where they could enjoy a picnic day without prying eyes, but was targeted by slave captor, a human, who attempted to take both of them to sell them as valuable slaves to human nobles. However, Frida had her son run away and risked her life, the gunshot alarmed the elven soldiers forcing the human to return to human realm, leaving Bambi motherless. Too young to understand the death, Bambi was informed by his father Albrénean that his mother can’t be with them anymore as the young prince was to be raised by the Great Prince. Despite not having much interaction, Bambi was determined to be approved by his father as proper heir. Recovering from mother’s death, Bambi encountered two elf boys; Ronno and Karus. Ronno wanted to befriend Bambi and his friends, but his arrogant and boastful persona has left a less than pleasant impression. Meanwhile, Karus was introduced to Bambi by his father as the Wood Elf prince would be helpful with his future. While Ronno claimed he will lead the dark elves and would have Faline as future mother to his offsprings, he didn’t antagonize Bambi much as Karus helps Bambi with his lessons and training. Despite the personality differences, they shared good friendship while maintaining his routines as the heir to Alfheim throne.
However, by coming of age, Bambi was confused and hurt when his friendship with Karus and Ronno ended; Ronno occasionally berates and taunts Bambi’s compassion for weakness as Karus became cold towards him, essentially quitting as Bambi’s supporter while being helped by his parents to be Faline’s suitor. However, Bambi never shown resentment towards Faline. Realizing Faline had her eyes only on him as she remained loyal to him just as Thumper and Flower are, Bambi starts reciprocating her love. Soon, Bambi was approached respectively by Karus and Ronno who challenged him for Faline’s hand and he agreed. Bambi admitted that while he admired their strength, he didn’t want to be treated as a person who needs to be protected as he wanted both of them to take him seriously when they were hesitant to land a serious/fatal blow on him. Eventually, Bambi won each fight he had against them. According to the law, whoever questioned future heir’s right to the throne lost from battle was to be executed. But, Bambi spared their lives, claiming that would be waste of their potential for the good of kingdom and knew that they never went against him with full hate.
In coming of age ceremony of Bambi, it was interrupted when he was informed that human landlord and his troops were approaching their realm. With the human landlord and his troop approaching, Gobo—who had positive view of humans during his childhood—decided to go to them and negotiate in peace as everyone else attempted to stop him. The tragedy strikes when the landlord killed Gobo, signaling his troop to mercilessly chase after all magical beings for his conquest. Alarmed but calm, Bambi dispatched all strong army of elves, orcs, and other magical beings to fight back while protecting Faline from human soldiers. Taken by the ethereal beauty of the young elf prince, the landlord injured Bambi with the firearm. However, despite the injury, Bambi continued to lead his people and others to safety as his father went to fight against the landlord, whom he recognized as the man who murdered Bambi’s mother. Searching for his father, he, Thumper, Flower, and others saw Albrénean cornered and had his spear broken by the landlord. With a bow and arrow tossed by Thumper, Bambi aimed at the landlord and fired as the arrow hit right into the corrupted human lord’s eye, preventing him from killing the Great Prince. As Karus and Ronno took Albrénean away, Bambi watched the human lord fall off from his horse and cries in pain. Instead of finishing him off, Bambi coldly turned away leaving the human’s fate unknown (but permanently disabled and traumatized once returning to human realm).
With aquatic elves and other water beings putting out the fire, Bambi partook in restoring the destroyed prefectures and bring the life back in the kingdom with help of his betrothed Faline, his friends, proving himself as a rightful next Elf Great Prince of the United Regions of Forrest. Although he had negative memories of humans since childhood, he have been notified the humans from local human village close to the border have been defending their realm and paid respect to Frida’s resting place. With a grateful smile and overcoming the long years of fury towards human, he knew not all humans are evil and decided to contact the said village’s kind and wise Elder.
Spin-Off “Perri and Annerle” AU:
Setting after the event of “Bambi the Elf Prince” AU, Bambi appear as newly crowned Great Prince as his father decided to abdicate the throne to his son. The main character, Perri the fairy girl was present in the blessing ceremony of Bambi and Faline’s children Geno and Gurri’s birth, with her mother among the magical citizens. As a friend of Flower, Perri accompanied him and his wife Petunia to deliver the flower gifts to the new Great Prince. Noticing the strange but welcoming scent of human from Perri, Bambi has taken an interest as he privately asked her if she had met a human. Perri confessed she actually become friends with the sweet human girl named Annerle who saved Perri’s mother. Soon, Perri has become a lady-in-waiting as her former playdate Porro became a palace cook.
Later, when Annerle accidentally transported into the realm where United Regions of Forrest is, Perri quickly led Annerle to the palace introducing her to Bambi. It was revealed that Annerle have been believed in the existence of many magical beings, due to her grandparents telling stories about them. Although Ronno was openly disagreeing, Bambi and Faline decided to let Annerle stay in the palace and often visit as long as she doesn’t tell other humans about their world, which Annerle promises.
Bambi realized that it has been centuries in human world since the great fire and defeat of the human lord, and how the human world has changed, by Annerle’s modern clothes contrasting to the humans he have encountered. Noticing Perri pondering about love, Bambi initiated the conversation for his fairy friend by asking Annerle how does her world’s humans love, flustering Perri, Porro, and Mirro. Unaware of flummoxed looks on Karus and Ronno’s expression, Annerle simply replied while there are some cases people find love through conditions of wealth, status and looks, many humans just falls in love regardless of who they are, adding that even humans of same genders can get married, much to Bambi’s fascination and Perri’s curiosity. When Annerle asked the same question, Bambi replied that while genders didn’t matter, his world is repressive in relationship when it comes to interracial ones and the relationship between magical beings and humans were hostile, in which Annerle understands. Occasionally, Bambi watches the friendship between Perri and Annerle grew, even listening to Annerle’s venting about her crush Lukas Grassi, the art student of same age.
When Annerle visits again, Bambi noticed her grief-stricken state. Being perceptive yet calm, Bambi asked if it was about Lukas. When she was silent, he assumed correctly that something unkind has happened to him. In which, Annerle tearfully told him Lukas was killed by his abusive stepfather Ludwig week ago and refused to move on. Feeling the same grief he once felt by his mother’s death, Bambi comforted her as his father Albrénean encouraged her to always remember Lukas as he is always in a special place in Annerle’s heart. When being discouraged to avenge Lukas, Annerle asked Bambi how did he handle his grief. Bambi answered that time heals as he wasn’t alone, decided to love the ones who stayed with him, even if some of them once hurt or betrayed him. His words struck in Perri’s heart, made her realize that she loves Porro; the one whom she spent most of her life bonding, fighting, reconciling and shared their pain with.
In the end, during the wedding between Perri and Porro, Bambi was one of the guests as he gave both of them a marital blessing. Noticing a familiar young man, Bambi led him to Annerle, who was shocked to see the man; it was Lukas, who was believed to be dead. It was revealed that Lukas had to live a secret life as a werewolf in a form of conditional spell when he wanted to escape poverty by becoming a successful artist. When Annerle and Lukas happily reunited, Bambi smiled and left with his family, resuming to his duty as the Great Prince with content.

My mizurui au!!! Time-changer
okay so I think my mizurui au was pure trash so I'm remaking it!!! With more info!!!
now time to info dump!!!!
It takes place in the 1600's, Rui is a simple villager in Europe, she is 19 years old, and sick, in this AU she also has long hair, she is best friends with Tsukasa, another villager who writes plays in his free time, and has 2 younger siblings who he adores(Saki and Toya live with him in this AU). Due to Rui's sickness, she needs to be taken care of by Doctor Kusanagi. Kusanagi guesses that Rui will die soon due to the disease. When Rui is about to sleep, her heartbeat stops and Kusanagi thinks Rui has finally died, but no. Mizuki is the goddess of life, with her strings she controls how long mortals live, she sees that Rui has a lot of things left that she can do, and doesn't feel like letting her die quite yet, and so, she doesn't cut the string, letting Rui live, but she is now less human, as her heart still doesn't beat, and the only reason she is alive is because of Mizuki, basically living in a corpse now, like a zombie. Kusanagi reports that Rui is somehow alive to Emu, and rumor spreads that Rui has been cursed by a witch and is a zombie. Ena, the goddess of beauty and death, sees this happening and doesn't like Mizuki's decision, and wants to let Rui die like she should've.
Bonus info on characters!
Mafuyu is the goddess of memories, winter, and the past and Kanade is the goddess of rebirth, future and desire.
Tsukasa is a young man(20) with a younger sister(Saki) and brother(Touya). His parents died 3 years ago of natural causes (the life expectancy wasn't that long back then) and so Tsukasa has to take care of his family himself. He met Rui while bargaining on the market for bread. Tsukasa enjoys to write poetry and plays when he is bored under candle light.
Emu is a young maiden, she is part of the Otori family who rules the village, sometimes she gives her extra money to the poor. Shes expected to be the next ruler when her father dies. Emu is also 20 years old.
Nene is a doctor, and the best one in their town, she serves the royal family and all the villagers if they pay a price, she is 21, and lives in the royal quarters. She currently takes care of Rui and Emu's father.
Rui is a young villager, she is very bright. Rui is 19 years old and horribly ill. She has long purple hair and is friends with Tsukasa. When they were kids, they would play together at Tsukasa's house.
An is Touya's friend, and her family sings songs for the royal family.
Mizuki is the goddess of life, she has a basket of strings, inside there is an endless amount, each representing a humans life, when she cuts the string, the human dies.
Ena is the goddess of death and beauty, she makes sure the balance of dead and alive is always kept, but there was once a maiden she favored...she doesn't wish to speak of what happened, but she will make sure Mizuki doesn't make the same mistake, and balance is kept.
also might make character ref sheets when I get the motivation, but for now @kaedahara-kazuhas-leaf has made some very great designs for Ena and Mizuki which you should totally check out if you are interested!
YEAH!!!!!!!
feel free to ask questions
I rewrote this at 3am so there might be some mistakes!

if i cant draw them.
Tumblr media
then ill explain them. (GET READY FOR A SEMI-SIZED, NO TYPING QUIRK POST UNDER THE CUT BECAUSE I LOVE THEM. im pullin out the proper grammar n all man.)
Kohane's family go on holiday(/vacation) one year to a seaside town. In the town, a fairly famous painter and his family live, the Shinonomes. There's Akito, who is normally found with another young boy and a young girl (all around Kohane's age) (Touya and An, if you couldn't guess) while the older child of the two found herself mainly by the shore, painting until dusk. Ena.
Kohane, one night, decides to sneak out of the house when she sees the moon shining down upon the sea in such a way that she had to take pictures of it to show her dad when she got back. So, taking her camera and and bundling up (it's cold. of course she's not just gonna go out in her pyjamas like in the movies, she's not gonna go and get a cold just for a few photos!) she left, shutting the door of her parent's holiday home behind her to venture out to a cliff by the building. That was always a good thing about where her parents' had bought the place, it was so close to a cliff side that they didn't have to go far to take breathtaking pictures of the sunrise or sunset.
However, the moon wasn't the only thing that caught her attention. There was a figure laying upon the shore, an odd shape where it's legs' should be flapping in front of it. The silhouette was familiar to Kohane. Long, wavy hair, two buns either side (she could only assume. why would anybody only put one bun up in their hair??) and an easel not too far from it. Was that... No. It couldn't be, right? It couldn't be Ena...
During her time away from her real home, Kohane had gotten to know Akito and his friends', and the four of them had created a small group together. With this, Kohane had also got to know Akito's sister better. The two had a lot in common, and would find themselves drifting towards eachother when Akito wasn't around. They frolicked across the edge of the sea. Or, well... Kohane did. Ena never stepped foot into the water, constantly making excuses about how cold it was or that she needed to finish a sketch so badly that she couldn't just leave it for a few minutes. It all made sense to Kohane now.
She found herslef wandering down the stony path that lead to the actual beach, walking across the sand barefooted, holding her sandals in one hand with her camera secured around her neck, calling out to the brunette. It was almost like magic the way Ena's legs rebuilt themselves so that she was bipedal again, standing up and rushing to Kohane with a look of terror on her face. She warned Kohane of her misfortune, about how if she told anybody in the small town about her, that she would be shunned for life. Kohane stuck to that promise, vowing never to tell a sould about what she saw.
It seemed the two only got closer from that day forward. Kohane started hanging out with Akito much less, now focusing on Ena more than anything. A lot of her cameras storage seemed to be taken up by the brunette, not that she cared. Candids of the girl painting by the shore into the twilight and blurry photos in return of Kohane herself filled the camera. A picture or two of Ena could be found deep in the storage of her in the water, hair splayed around her as if she were an angel.
The day that they first kissed was a surprise to nobody. The sun was going down and the beach was deserted apart from the two girls. They were laying against the sand, Ena picking up a shell once in a while and throwing it across to be swept away by the tide. Kohane rolled onto her side, admiring the older girl. The way her hair formed a dark ring around her head, her chestnut eyes shimmering in the moonlight. Her cheeks flushed with the thought of her lips on Ena's, heart pounding and brain turned to mush. Ena noticed the girl's trouble. Of course she did. She was good at picking up on that kind of stuff.
To the surprise of nobody in the town, Ena had fallen head over heels for the blonde girl, constantly doodling her in her sketchbook, only to be flustered and rub the drawings out.
(ILL FINISH THIS LATER I PROMISE IVE WRITTEN SO MUCH MY BRAIN JUICES. ILL PUT A SUMMARY 4 THE REST OF IT THO. basically they kiss and they are really really gay until Kohane has to go back home boom done i just need to... write all of that. eventually.)

And while we're thinking about Ena and Avrian, I've added to their intersecting lore.
To recap: Ena Lavellan and Avrian Mahariel meet at the Arlathvhen two or three years before the Blight. They hit it off immediately and get along very well. But the Arlathvhen only lasts a short time - my headcanon is probably a week, ten days, that range - and clans Lavellan and Sabrae head separate ways, as to Ena and Avrian. They are each other’s first real loves and first heartbreaks.
Addition to the lore: they discuss staying together, after the Arlathvhen. You come with me to my clan. I’ll go to yours. They’re young enough to consider the impulse - like, 19 or 20 - but also old enough to seriously think it through.
And ultimately, to stay together, one of them would have to leave their clan, and neither of them are willing to do that.
Avrian has too many people he loves too dearly. Ashalle, who raised him after his parents passed. Merrill, his dear friend. Tamlen, his brother-not-by-blood. Avrian bears the vallaslin of Mythal, and he is very serious about what it represents to him: being a protector of his people. His people are all Dalish, all elves, but especially his clan. He can’t bring himself to walk away from them, no matter how much he likes Ena.
And Ena has too many people she loves too dearly. Arassan, her fellow hunter and mentor. Esti, her sister-not-by-blood. Deshanna, her mother, though their relationship is often complicated. Ena bears the vallaslin of Andruil, and she is very serious about what it represents to her: to be a hunter is to be a provider for her clan, and yes, a protector of her people as well. Her people are all Dalish, all elves, but especially her clan. She can’t bring herself to walk away from them, no matter how much she likes Avrian.
And both of them realize, respect, and love this about the other. They may not have clicked as well as they did if one or both of them was the type of person who would leave their clan for someone they have known for ten days. They are kept apart by what draws them together. They can't begrudge each other for that.
In one worldstate - in my canon worldstate - they part ways after the Arlathvhen, and carry on. Years later, Ena finds out that the boy she’d loved when she was young died in the blight, and she thinks that he could have lived if he’d come to Clan Lavellan, and she thinks that she could have died if she’d gone to Clan Sabrae, and she knows neither of those things could ever truly have happened. That is not who she is. That is not who he was.
In another worldstate, however. They are both wrenched away from their clans - Avrian only a few years after the Arlathvhen, Ena more than a decade later. Their duty and responsibility to their clans are supplanted by a duty and responsibility to the world. They can’t go home again. They are too changed by what they’ve been through, what they’ve endured and lost, what they’ve learned.
Avrian chose duty and responsibility to his clan over Ena; years later, he allows himself to chose Morrigan and Kieran over duty and responsibility to the wardens. (In part. He still leaves to search for a cure for the calling. This is for himself, to see Kieran grow up. This is for Alistair, his human-brother-not-by-blood. This is for Velanna and all the rest. Avrian can never fully set duty aside.)
—Ena catches a glimpse of this. She meets Morrigan and Kieran. She thinks for a moment of what could have been - and she knows it never would have been, and she asks Morrigan if she and her love are happy together. Ena drinks from the Well of Sorrows, inadvertently sparing Morrigan from being bound to Flemeth - paying the price herself, but sparing Avrian and his little family. A strange circumstance, to somehow have done one last favor to someone she loved more than a decade ago.—
And Ena chose duty and responsibility to her clan over Avrian; many years later, she chose to disband the Inquisition and lay down her duty and responsibility as the Inquisitor. But she has a different duty now, to stop Solas, to change his mind if she can, and if she can’t? - well, we’ll find out how her story ends and what she chooses.

toya's dad : i support your decision to turn away from classical music. do whatever makes you happy...though i will apologize for pushing you away from classical. i may have pushed you too hard
toya, who was forced to take breaks even if he wanted to keep going: you didn't...
ena's dad: doing art is difficult. getting criticism for your art is almost harder. i want you to know that even everyone doubts you, if you doubt yourself, i'll always believe in you. artist to artist, i think you can grow into a strong artist and person.
ena: dad....
rui's mom: when i was young, i was seen as weird too. when i met your dad, i knew i had found someone who could understand me. but...it's still hard being different. you have to bridge that gap to make friends, rui. nobody else will do it for you.
baby rui:...bridge the gap?
rui's mom: mmhm. people like us need to work to not be seen as weird. it's unfair, i know...but it's necessary. [ruffles hair] just be careful who you show yourself to, okay? people can be cruel [kiss]
baby rui: okay...
tenma mom: don't you want to be something more... realistic? oh, you could be a doctor! i know you're smart enough for it
tsukasa: mom 😑
tenma mom: i'm just saying...plus, it could really help our your sister
tsukasa: ...she's better though.
tenma mom: of course, of course. but if something should happen...well, a 'star' wouldn't be much help, would it?
tsukasa: 🫠🫠🫠
an's dad: it really is disappointing to see you give up like this, an
an: :// i'm not giving up. i'm just taking a break.
an's dad: hm. you have so much talent...what would nagi say at you squandering it?
an: [miserable shrug]
mafuyu after months of misery: mom, i don't think i want to be a doctor
mafuyu's mom: oh?
mafuyu: it just doesn't feel right. i've been working so hard but nothing ever feels right. i'm sorry. [fourth focus card] i'm sorry
mafuyu's mom: sh, sh, sh mafuyu, it's okay. why are you getting upset?
mafuyu: i'm disappointing you...
mafuyu's mom: ? honey, you're not....
i do like the novelty of a parent swap au. aka the good parents are more flawed and the "bad' parents are more supportive. unfortunately this would mean over half the cast would have mommy and daddy issues since the canon parents are pretty great

Now that I’ve been left alone for 5 minutes with my thoughts, I’ve started thinking up names for my monsties as a s/I into the WoF universe, and I start off with a Nergigante (gonna call him Dirt as a joke on Grima/grime :>) which takes some time for Alwin and especially Ena to get used to.
Then once they’ve just gotten used to Dirt I show up again and Alwin is like ‘oh god what now?’ And I’m like
Me: got a new Monstie! They’re called Ultra or Vio!
Ena: Oh, like Violet?
Me: Nope! Like Ultra Violence!
And then I get kicked out the village bc it turns out Violence is a White Fatalis

Question, what Harold backstory? He seem nice fellow.
He is very nice!
Okay so I dont have a fully finished backstory on him but I do have enough info for a post.
So as far as its known, harold does have relatives though only one is known which is his sister T00X
Tumblr media
(Though T00X is mainly an ENA oc, we decided to give her connections to LiminalSpaces anyway because of some of the characters in it, formerly being ENA ocs. Also me and @daiz-callie really just couldnt not make them siblings because they had so much similarities
And I've also made it true that they do have ages. Since I've made child designs for them
Tumblr media
Their current ages are just unconfirmed because I'm indecisive as hell.
And heres where my current version of Harold's backstory comes in.
Harold was born with this permanent grin on his face. He wasnt able to move his mouth at all but still speak. Harold was always self conscious of this smile of his and always tried his best to hide it. T00X, his older sister, would always be there to defend him (though doing it very aggressively). One day when Harold was still very young, he ran away, being too afraid of facing others (and also powers and strength he had discovered that he never knew he had). Basically he did something. I just haven't figured that part out yet. This soon caused something to happen (another thing that I havent branched on yet) that would lead to Harold ending up in a dark, empty void. No sound, nobody around, pitch black. Harold would be stuck here for years.. no way to get out. (My logic for this is, what Harold is is unknown and definitely not an ENA like T00X. But he is unable to eat or drink things since he can't open his mouth, so he doesnt really need to consume things to survive) as time went by, Harold would kind of.. play around with his abilities.. see what he could do. He could draw things in the air with his hands, he was able to blend himself in with the void he resided in.. soon enough he found out how to enter different worlds. He could finally leave.. or atleast he thought he could. What I mean by this, is that when he left this void, after years of being trapped, he'd find himself in a place where there would be nothing. It was still a place, but it was empty.. eerily empty.. liminal. This would happen a few times. He would go back to his void, and when he leaves, it's another one of these spaces. This went on for days, untill one day, when he was lurking in the shadows of one of these spaces, he heard footsteps... somebody else was there.. he began to panic as he stumbled back. Though this made enough noise (because haha metal legs) to where whoever was there, to hear him. There he saw who was soon known to be Oli. She would see the glow of Harold's pupils in the darkness, and his indistinguishable grin. Oli, being the brave soul she was, approached Harold. But harold was actually very scared and made a sound he didn't know he was capable of, after not speaking (or having to speak) for so long. A screech. This only made Oli hesitate for a brief moment, but continued. She claimed that she wouldnt hurt him.. and she didnt. When she was right in front of Harold, she greeted him and held out her hand.. Harold felt a warm comfort from who was still a stranger to him. But he revealed himself from the darkness and shook Oli's hand. She would proceed to chat with him, though harold was too afraid to respond back so he remained silent. Though he did write his name in the air (one of his powers), and that's how Oli learned his name. Afterwards, Oli would show Harold around what she called liminal spaces. She created these empty spaces in time. It was her power. Though these spaces could never generate life, people could find themselves in them and call it their home. This is how she discovered other friends who now reside in the liminal spaces she's created

I'm gonna talk about my sekai au's body swap episode because yes
I'm only gonna talk about what I wanna because I don't wanna talk about stuff I haven't been thinking about or whatever
Sorry for uh clogging anyone's dash with tsukasa talk but here we are
So like tsukasa is prolly high key in sensory hell. Because you see he's the type of person who is almost always moving in some form but here's the thing
He has a tail
So like you don't really notice it so it just looks like he's sitting or standing still meanwhile he's doing them little tail flicks
But like
Ena (the person who he has the swap with) does not
And like tsukasa is just sitting here ridiculously over stimulated and he doesn't know why or how to stop it
Like he's never fidgeted with a pen or something. He always would look at people who fidget with stuff but like he didn't know that that was supposed to help with this kind of stuff.
So like he's just sitting here dying from just sitting still. Not to mention that uh normally his hearing is actual ass because of his hearing damage. Like he can usually hear everything fine and he hasn't really noticed that he can hear less then he used to be able to. But like now that he's Ena, a person whose like able to hear normally he's just sitting here like "why tf is there so much noise. Is this a normal thing. Why is there like so many small noises. It's not like they're loud but I can't stop focusing on them it's giving me a headache" or something like that.
ALSO Akito and An (An had a body swap with yukina who as we all know is akito's twin sister) are trying to teach him to like talk at a normal volume because he's gotten so used to having to talk super loud to actually be heard by people.
(Man off topic but I'm listening to ayano's theory of happiness rn and I am like crying. I literally cry every time this dumb song plays💀)
Also now tsukasa is actually like remembering the concept of height and that there are like short people and tall people because like it's not like he didn't know it's just that he had kinda forgotten ig. Like when you remember again just how much taller one of your online friends would be than you.
(Update I'm listening to dead and seek now. Man this song is so good. People need to give it more attention. It's prolly one of the most underrated kagepro songs I know. Like it's good come on people. Ig people just don't like ayano's dad and like fair 💀)
Oh yeah I forgot to mention but au tsukasa is uh a little guy. I mean it. So like not gonna go into his backstory here but something happened to him when he was like 11-12ish and now woopsies he's 11cm now (I always forget how many inches that was... Like bro I live in the us. WHY DON'T I REMEMBER IT IN INCHES. idk I think it was like 4.25 inches or sum).
So like he's got that little guy thing going on
Ok on to fun stuff he does during the body swap episodes.
He prolly downloads genshin on Ena's computer because he needs to do dailies. Que him having to learn how to play genshin on a normal keyboard and mouse. He'd prolly jump on stream and be all like "hey gang I think I might have possessed someone🤯. Like I didn't know I could do that😯. I didn't think I was a ghost but like guess I'm here now😜"
He prolly would be like "shi- since I'm like a hashtag girl now I should get Kiki (Akito) to make me a cosplay. This is a very important opportunity that I should use to it's fullest to wear cool clothes."
He'd prolly spend like forever in the bathroom trying our different hair styles with ena's hair. Since like when he was young he would style his sisters hair when it was at that length, but he had never styled hair on his own head when it was at that length. So like he's having fun with that meanwhile An and akito are prolly fighting for the second bathroom because they both need to do their long morning routines or whatever.
Well maybe I should rap up on my first post about this
Uh ok ok that smokes that that's a rap🤯/ij

Kurthnaga had always had Rajaion and Almedha when he was young, until they had both gone, leaving him all alone in the empty halls of Goldoa's palace. Ena and Gareth were always around, of course, but it wasn't the same. He adored Ena with all of his heart, loved and cherished the woman who would have become his sister-in-law. She was one of the few close to him in age, and he was almost certain that there had been a time once when they were children where they had been wholly attached at the hip. But she had never quite made the transition from dearest friend into sister.
And Gareth was his guardian. Never much a brotherly type.
But Naesala...
Kurthnaga cannot help but to imagine a Goldoa where he had been around, almost like an older brother even though by all accounts Kurthnaga was the far older one. It's a funny thought, but it wouldn't have been an unwelcome one, especially to his ever curious younger eyes.
He takes the raven's hand, tugging him forward back into the festival, "Of course! Come on!"

History Bites: What a Wonderful day for some disaster Weddings
Tumblr media
In History Bites, I pick the best moments of history and the antics historical figures in order to give you inspiration for your WIP. Think of History Bites like prompts, only juicer and 90% accurate (results may vary).
We shall begin this ceremony with probably one of the most awful weddings of all time. George, Prince of Whales (Wales)/King George IV got himself into a bit of debt. His dad George III promised to pay it off... only if he married Princess Caroline of Brunswick. George Junior agreed but there was a problem. He was married. To a Catholic. Which was a no no. The marriage of George Jr and Catholic Maria Fitzherbert was dissolved and George was free (legally though not emotionally) to marry the Princess. The first meeting days before the wedding did not go well. George took one look at Caroline and asked for a glass of brandy. She didn't like him either, he was hardly a catch being unfaithful, a glutton, a wastrel and hardly princely at all. George was so plastered on their wedding day that two nobles had to hold him up. He sobbed throughout the entire ceremony. The marriage was not happy but more on that later.
Another horrible husband steals the crown. Henry VIII was three wives down when he was persuaded to wed again for state reasons. He cast his net around Christendom but no sensible brides were biting. Henry's councillors eventually set their hearts on Anne of Cleves, the sister of the Duke of Cleves an influential noble in the sprawling Lutheran states. Hans Holbein painted Anne and sent the portrait onto the King who was enraptured and sent for Anne to be his wife at once. Anne arrived in England after a short delay, scheduled to meet the King a few days later. But Henry being the romantic he thought he was decided to ride to the castle she was staying to meet his future bride. Dressed incognito he went over to Anne and kissed her. This was an old trick of Henry's but it didn't work. Anne was offended and Henry left in rage calling her every name under the sun, shouting how she smelled and looked like a horse. Henry looked for a way to get out of the marriage but no remedy was found in time. Sombrely he told his gentlemen preparing him for his wedding, “If it were not to satisfy the world and my realm, I would not do that I must do this day for none earthly thing.”. The wedding did go smoothly unlike the short marriage even though the bride was two hours late to the ceremony.
Princess Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg or Queen Ena fell in love with the heir to the Spanish throne. Despite some misgivings about the the suitablity of the bride and the couple's different religions. But Ena and Alfonso decided to make a go of it. The wedding ceremony itself went OK but on the way back a bomb exploded near the carriage, killing most of the couple's attendants and guards. Queen Ena was splattered in blood head to toe, meaning no photos were released after the wedding as usual.
In order to try make peace between the kingdoms of France and Navarre, two countries divided by religion, each side proposed marrying Henry, King of Navarre and Marguerite, the sister of the French King. The wedding itself went great and was a rich spectacle that drew thousands of Catholics and Protestants to the city to watch. But a few days after the wedding, violence erupted in the city and thousands of Protestants were slaughtered in the St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre. Henry and Marguerite were never the warmest couple and eventually separated to take other lovers.
Marie Antoinette was only 14 when she left her home to wed the Dauphin of France in 1770. The French were in charge of making the wedding gown and they made the grandest gown a royal bride ever wore in French history made of white and silver satin and drenched in diamonds. Problem? It never fit her. It was too small and there wasn't enough time for alternations. They laced her into the dress so she had to walk down the aisle with a gap in the dress. When she signed the wedding contract, she famously blotted her signature which was seen as an omen of ill tidings.
The Roman Emperor Caracalla was not a nice guy. He decided that the Romans should probably bury the hatchet with the Parthians, one of Rome's enemies. Caracalla proposed a marriage alliance between himself and the Parthian King’s daughter. At first the King dithered but was soon won over by the assurances and gifts the Emperor sent. He agreed to the match and Caracalla came to the Parthian capital for the wedding. There was a great celebration to welcome the Emperor to the city ahead of the wedding. At the Emperor's signal, the Roman soldiers who came with him got out their seats and began killing every Parthian they could get their hands on. The King got away but war broke out.
After WWII Princess Elizabeth or as she is known today, Queen Elizabeth II set her heart on marrying handsome Naval Officer Prince Philip. The November Wedding is remembered as a success but the morning was not a success. Queen Mary, the Princess's grandmother lent her the Fringe Tiara to wear. A lovely gesture but the thing was thirty years old. The tiara broke the morning of her wedding. The Queen Mother calmed her down and sent the tiara to the jeweller with a police escort to have it fixed. The tiara was fixed and the wedding went ahead.
All was not going well for the English royals. King George II and his wife the boss ass Queen Caroline of Ansbach really hated their son. They thought that marrying him to Princess Augusta of Saxe-Gotha would bring them all closer together. The bride arrived in England carrying her doll, she was sixteen. In order to scotch any ideas that Frederick would marry his mistress, Augusta was trussed into her wedding gown and marched down the aisle. She was young and unable to speak English, so Queen Caroline stood next to her and translated. Augusta, overwhelmed at the stress, vomited all over her wedding gown. As her new mother in law tried to help, Augusta puked on her as well.
Philip of Macedonia, Alexander the Great's dad, had conquered Greece but Greece was not his best friend. Philip wanted to make himself more popular with the people so he hosted his daughter Cleopatra's wedding in Greece. It was a great big ceremony with everybody enjoying the festivities. Philip was well on his way to making some new buddies. The pinnacle of the day was meant to be Philip’s arrival at the wedding games. Everything was going well until somebody straight up stabbed Philip. Not perhaps the best thing to happen at a wedding afters.
Ever think you're having a shitty day? Let us talk about the wedding of Prince Amadeo of Savoy and Maria Vittoria dal Pozzo. The first thing that happened was one of Maria’s servants hung herself in the room where the wedding gown was chilling. Maria had a new one made, thinking that would be that. No. An officer riding with the couple passed out from sunstroke and fell off his horse. Not so bad? After the wedding, one of the Prince's friends shot himself accidentally and died. The train the couple were meant to go honeymooning on hit a snag, literally it ran over the guy in charge of the station. The wedding party decided to head back to the palace to chill. On the way, one of the lords fell off his horse just as the newlywed's carriage was rolling by so splat...

Bambi the Elf Prince AU:
Frida Jordottir is a wise and loving mother of Bambi the young elf prince, and faithful wife of the Great Prince Albrénean. Prior to Bambi’s birth, during her childhood, Frida was from Jordottir family, a noble family clan of Nature elves. Her nanny was mother of Ena, whom she became a sworn sister with. With her another friend Mena, the three were very close they promised to stay together even in adulthood.
During her archery practice in the secluded glade within the forest, Frida noticed the presence and able to locate where it was, only to see a handsome prince Albrénean injured. Unaware of his true identity, she insists on tending his wounds and the pair bonded. In some occasions, they would encounter at the same place and practice magic or archery together, even chatting cordially. However, in the coronation day where all elves gather to witness, she was shocked to see Albrénean was the light elf prince. Discouraged to learn that many elven beauties wish to wed him, she felt unsure to be his significant other. However, Albrénean approached her and asked for her hand in marriage, much to surprise of her family. Among the previous Álvaldur family, no prince have ever married through love. However, as even Frida had suitors, he needed to fight and win to prove himself worthy as her spouse. Battling five elven men of good families, Albrénean won from trials of archery, magic, and combats. Not much later, Frida married Albrénean and the two elven clans became a ruling families of Alfheim.
Years went by, Frida carried Albrénean’s child and reunited with her friends Ena and Mena who were starting to work as head maid and nanny respectively. During pregnancy, Frida and her friends witness Albrénean’s effort to united all regions of magical beings into one kingdom, ending the racial conflicts between them for good. Despite being guarded all-time, Frida interacts with citizens amicably as they congratulate her pregnancy. She encountered Lady Harrison who had just given birth to son, naming him Thumper, because her son have been thumping his legs during pregnancy AND after childbirth; a story which Frida begins to ponder about naming her child. When the day happened as Frida gave birth to a son, she noticed how small he was compare to other elven babies. Nonetheless, Frida lovingly welcomed her son to the world. In the day of celebrating their son, Albrénean and Frida thanked the citizens for their wonderful gifts. When toddler Thumper curiously approached and asked her what is the name of new prince, Frida replied “Bambi”, a unisex name meaning “little one”.
Since Bambi’s birth, Frida raises her son in the Great Princess quarter of the palace. Normally, once the heir grows, he needed to live separately from his parents and raised by nanny. However, due to his small height compared to average elven children, Albrénean allowed his wife to raise their son while Mena could accompany them. Through Bambi’s early childhood, Frida was delightfully surprised how her son was learning quick with speaking and reading. Whenever Bambi returns home from playing with his friends, she would listen to small adventures he had with them. At one point, Ena visited the palace with her daughter Faline who immediately developed a crush on Bambi, much to both mothers’ amusement.
During mid-Winter, Frida noticed Bambi’s curiosity of the season and—as always—taken her son outside to experience it with his friends. One day, as the nature begins to slowly grow and the weather was less cold, Frida took her son to the border of realm where the nature has already blooming. During so, she noticed unwelcoming presence and urged her son to run; a human was targeting both her and Bambi. To keep her son safe, she decided to run to different location, luring the human. When the gunshot was heart, alarming Albrénean and his troops, it was revealed the human shot Frida killing her. Before the human could retrieve her body, he was surrounded by armed elves forcing him to leave. Frida died with relieved smile, able to rest to know her son was safe. Her death drove a huge shock and grief to the entire United Regions of Forrest; Bambi was too young to understand death as Mena became caretaker while helping Albrénean to develop father-son bonding.
After Frida’s funeral, Frida has been mentioned from Bambi and his father; Albrénean told his son about how he met Frida and added that both used to practice archery. Bambi responded that his mother taught him magic, but wished to learn archery as well. At one point, Faline’s foster brother Gobo—half human, half elf who went missing during Winter—revealed to be alive, returned and explained Bambi, Faline and their friends about humans’ positive side. One of the young elves, Ronno refused to believe Gobo’s opinion of humans and indirectly brought up the death of Frida; claiming that if the human is good, that murderer should at least grovel at their feet and atone for murdering the elf queen. However, Gobo said the humans he met were not the same man but actually villagers living close to the border. Conflicted, Bambi wondered how his mother would think of humans overall.
When Bambi came of age, during the ceremony, the human lord dragged his troop to takeover the United Regions of Forrest, believing Frida was alive and hidden somewhere; the lord was the same human who shot Frida and—since elves were immortal—wanted her for himself. When the human lord spotted Bambi, he noticed how the young elf prince strikingly resembled Frida’s beauty and decided to abduct him as his beautiful elven slave, obsessively chases after him but was stopped Albrénean. Recognizing the human lord as his mother’s murderer, Bambi avenged her by shooting an arrow right at the man’s eye causing him to fall off from the horse, his fate left in hands of great fire. Although the human lord narrowly escaped, he would be spending his entire life blind and traumatized as a consequences of his crimes.
Spin-Off “Perri and Annerle” AU:
Frida was posthumously named “Unforgotten Nature Elf Queen of Alfheim” as Bambi succeeded the throne. Both Álvaldur and Jordottir family remained as ruling families of Alfheim, Bambi and Faline’s daughter Gurri resembled her grandmother’s childhood persona and talent in archery. Much later, when Annerle was mourning Lukas and asked Bambi how he overcame with his grief, Bambi told her about his mother and how he lived up to her teachings to remember her maternal love. Witnessing Bambi comforting Annerle, Albrénean and Mena mused how Bambi was becoming like his mother not just physical traits, but also observant and nurturing personalities.

A Lull in the Sea
Hello all! Below you are going to find an in depth discussion of my thoughts from rewatching one of my favorite series, A Lull in the Sea/Agi No Asukara. This anime was recently put onto Netflix and is 26 episodes long, so if you’re looking for something to watch, I HIGHLY recommend it.
Now I’m more posting this for a discussion and for my own thoughts. So if you want to discuss this anime with me feel free. Also feel free to read or ignore at your own discretion, as there is probably going to be a lot down below.
So let’s dive in!
So during my rewatch of this show I was yet again captivated by the animation of the show. It is absolutely stunning and beautiful. It’s so vibrant and captivating. There are moments where they hit some darker times and the color is dulled out but in the best way to match the moods! They also even had Manaka’s eyes dulled during the last few episodes. It’s a show of love and life. It’s a very good slice of life and has some very good comedic pieces to it.
And during this rewatch, I always thought Tsumugu was hot, but realized just how hot Lord Uroko was too. I don’t care if he’s a scale of the Sea God, 10/10 would bang.
Anyways, if we push the animation aside, the story line is very interesting. We get a series that gives us their own culture and problems. There is a history and hate between those of the sea and the surface. It can honestly be compared to racism in a symbolic way. But what I truly love, is how they learned to embrace their differences and come together. We see this more in the children even though they were raised with the same beliefs as their parents. But instead, they chose to follow their own beliefs and do away with this hate for the people from the sea/surface. The adults still have some tension between them towards the end, but when the people of the sea went into hibernation you can tell they cared for them. So when the people of the sea finally woke up you still see them arguing and bickering, but it’s obvious they are attempting to make amends. That or it’s very likely they just wanted them to feel like nothing changed drastically, either way they still tend to have a lot hate relationship but we no longer see them fling these hateful terms at each other such as pig or fish.
There was so much development for these characters, which some of them progressed a bit quicker than I would like but it’s what they could do with the amount of episodes.
For example, Hikari. He is the son of the chief priest. In beginning he is an irriational, emotional driven character. He can be immature and lashes out a lot, especially with Manaka. But they give us a glimpse to his depth as he cares for Manaka and acts this way with her to help her learn from her mistakes. But we do see his mature side where even though he is conflicted, he’d let Manaka be with Tsumugu if that’s what makes her happy. But this comes in time, as he is still fighting with his emotions and wanting her to be with him. We do see his first step in better development when it comes to his sister Akari and when she wants to be with a man from the surface. This is what kicks him into wanting Manaka to be happy even if it’s not with him. This is Hikari’s turning point as a character. We see him slip now and then, but he continues to progress. And when he wakes up he progresses an extreme amount. Which I dislike for a matter of three days we see him mature faster than he has in the entire series, but it’s more the fact I believe the writers thought his character would try to make up for the last five years by doing what he can in a short period of time subconsciously.
The character we see change the most though in my opinion besides Hikari, is Manaka, Miuna, and Chisaki.
Manaka at first is this very clumsy girl who is a bit afraid to speak up. However she won’t hesitate to call Hikari out when he’s being mean. This definitely stems from being childhood friends and him often picking on her. She is also very, VERY conflicted in her feelings. Through the series we don’t ever fully know who she is interested in until close to the end. Which makes sense- she is 14. She is given this person who is completely new to her along with the surface. But upon my second watch I realize it’s more of the fact that he is the first person she meets from the surface. So in that aspect Tsumugu is special. However her feelings for him are not the same and we are hinted this when she is comparing him to the sun.  Another thing I have come to realize is the reason she acts the way she does towards Hikari. When Hikari hugs her and confesses to her she runs off and seems uninterested. Which makes Hikari believe even more she loves Tsumugu. But again, she is 14! It’s the fact she doesn’t know what to make of her feelings yet. She is processing these feelings and emotions, having to learn what she feels for Tsumugu and for Hikari. On top of this Chisaki said she didn’t want things to change. If Manaka had admitted her feelings once she does comprehend them, things would change. Now, feelings aside, we do see her develop into being a more outspoken girl. She becomes more confident with herself and her feelings.
As for Miuna, she starts of a child. She wants everything to go her way and when she learns of Akari and her father, Itaru, she wants Akari to go away. She doesn’t want her to become her mom in fear of losing her mother for a second time. But we do watch as she learns to accept Akari’s role after speaking with Hikari. It’s obvious she deeply cares for Akari, which can be seen when they learn of hibernation. She wants her to stay with her but she would rather her be safe sleeping in the sea and reverts to trying to getting her to leave. But this time it’s more for her mother’s safety. After the five year jump we watch as she navigates her emotions and love, just like the others before her. She learns of the pain that comes with loving Hikari, but we watch her as a 14 year old give, force him to admit his feelings for Manaka, so she can face the rejection and later on grow. She does everything to help him be happy even though parts of her don’t want him to ever be with Manaka or for her to return. And when she goes into the sea, we see her recognize all these emotions in the sea. Because she connects with Manaka’s ena that’s floating in the sea because of her own love for Hikari, but also the sheer pain of loving someone. And when Manaka’s ena is restored, we see those two make a full connection to the Lady Ojoshi’s feelings which help the Sea God as well. Because Miuna forces herself to accept the reality and learn to heal her wounds, she is able to help Manaka and the Sea God.
Now for the final character I’m going to discuss before having a small discussion on a few other things....
Chisaki. The character who fears and rejects change. Yet she is ironically the one who changed the most. She is unsure in the way she speaks with her feelings. She is conflicted like the others when it comes to her crushes. She loves Hikari even though she knows he won’t return her feelings. She fears if she admits her feelings to him it will change their friendship, as if he were to admit his feelings for Manaka. She doesn’t want things to change even with everything rapidly changing around her. She rejects the reality and tries to keep everything the same. We see this when she’s upset with Kaname for making Hikari admit he loves Manaka. We also see Tsumugu point out to her that she is uncertain in the way she speaks. But as the series progresses she learns her voice. However continues to reject certain changes. Such as during the five year jump. She’s grown into a capable, young woman. She knows she will always love Hikari, because a lot of people still hold those feelings for their first loves. She will always love him because he was such a huge part of her life. But she learned of her feelings for Tsumugu. But being the person she is, she’s hesitant with that kind of change. She doesn’t want to move on because she still wants to believe the others will return- and when they do she’s worried she’s changed. She’s worried that they have changed and everything wouldn’t ever be the same. But their bonds remained the same, there were aspects of her that remained true. And we see her hesitance even more as her friends start waking up. Hikari still doesn’t have Manaka, and when he does, he doesn’t have her heart. She doesn’t want to be the only one to be happy when the person she first loved is suffering. She admits this to Kaname. She is afraid to be happy, but towards the end we do see her learn to accept her love and happiness that she can have with Tsumugu. She begins to embrace what has changed and treasures everything around her whether they are feelings or experiences. Also, I really love how Tsumugu helps her realize these things as well. He knows she is hesitant to admit to her feelings, but he remains understanding and patient. (I might just make an entire post on them alone because they are my OTP)
Now for a small discussion. I happened to be on Pinterest, being pin happy and saving a LOT of A Lull in the Sea stuff to my anime board. In this process I came across a few posts that I wanted to put my thoughts on.
One of them was saying they dislike how Miuna acts like she is the main character sometimes replacing Manaka. First off, Manaka is not the main character. They do not soley focus on one character. They focus on Hikari, Manaka and Miuna. Hikari and Manaka are the main focuses before the time jump. Then after the five year gap we see them focus on Miuna and Hikari. The reason they cannot focus on Manaka is because she was fucking hibernating. They cannot focus on her because of this. Not only that, but they wanted to show the progression of Miuna as a character. She was at first the main focus until Hikari came back. They also focused some on Chisaki as well.
I had also seen someone say Tsumugu is stiff with Chisaki and shows emotions with Manaka. While I can understand this, there are some issues.... He tries to help Manaka because she isn’t as mature as the rest of them and is far more careless. He sees this. So he is goofy with her to help put her at ease. With Chisaki, he can be more blunt and forward with her because even though she has some childish tendencies, she is more mature and grown than Manaka. Not only that, but I’m sure he’s going to try to act more mature and cool with Chisaki, because he likes her.
And lastly, someone stated that they were sad at how at the end Chisaki isn’t Manaka’s best friend anymore and only cares for herself and Tsumugu. And they said that Miuna is a better friend because she actually cares. Like are you serious??? Chisaki will always be friends with Manaka and care for her. However, she has CHANGED and grown in the past five years. She is a 20 year old woman. Of course she couldn’t be there more for her because she couldn’t go to middle school anymore. She was attending nursing school and has other duties as an adult to tend to. The fact someone truly believes that she doesn’t care for her makes me laugh. Chisaki cares for Manaka. She is the one who tries to do mouth to mouth with her. She always cares for Manaka. Now for making her seem self-centered, that is completely illogical. Chisaki cares more for others happiness than her own. She was willing to sacrifice the relationship she could have with Tsumugu because Manaka lost the ability to love. She always knew of Manaka’s feelings and feared things changing if she dared admit her feelings for Hikari. Granted we do see her admit them and get rejected, but we still see her care for Manaka. As for Miuna being a “better” friend because she actually cares.... Obviously they just hate Chisaki’s character. Which in my opinion is one of the most relatable. Maybe because I have some similarities with her character. But Miuna and Chisaki are both good friends to Manaka. They just seem closer because Miuna they are the same age and can go to school together. They both care for Manaka and her well being. They just have different ways as they were both on opposing sides about Manaka having lost the ability to love.
Anyways, I need to wrap this up. So if you read this all, uhm, bless you because I realize this is a lot lol. But if you’d like me to do a ship list from this show and further discuss my OTP from the show I’d be happy to. And if you have any further thoughts or wish to discuss something in regards to this show with me please do!

-
Shuichi’s hand lingers on the doorbell as he waits for someone to answer.
The mansion is huge, and as big as the family is, there are only two maids, so it takes quite some time until anyone comes to open the door. It’s quiet all around- the house is in the suburb areas of Sapporo, and not many people of similar status come out at night. At this time of the night, Shuichi is the only one on these streets, alone.
Moonlight smiles down at him, like a gossamer veil of pearl-like periwinkle silk hanging over the area, stray strands of the light winding around the lamp posts and illuminating the rooftops of the mansions. It casts a soft ivory sheen over the greenery lining the streets, the daisies shining a lilac colour as Night’s onyx cloak of darkness attempts to camouflage it. The tar-like fog of Night reaches towards Shuichi, clouds of billowing obsidian mist flooding towards him, starting to fill him with anxiety and doubt, but he’s barely affected- he knows that his best friend is always with him no matter what, and the thought alone comforts him and strengthens him against the attacks of darkness.
Snow is falling from the sky as the ever cold and unforgiving wind whips around Shuichi with its iced daggers and snowy blades, beating relentlessly at his face, and he holds his coat closer as his scarf spins around, tossed by the wind. Despite the cold it brings, the snowflakes are graceful, twirling in an elegant dance as they land lightly on the flowers, on the grass, covering the cobblestones on the pavement, leaving piles of alabaster fluffiness on the sides of the road: it leaps everywhere, coating the roofs and falling, like dimmed meteors, the spears of the stars, onto Shuichi’s hands. He shivers from the contact- it’s freezing cold, and he’s not wearing gloves- but he smiles at the serenity of the moment nonetheless. It’s cliche, but he likes watching the snow fall. There’s something mesmerizing about how the droplets of softened ice sway to the rondo of the wind, how they fall almost uniformly but there’s a natural irregularity to it that makes it ever so interesting to watch. People normally think of snow as something beautiful and soft and lovely until they come into contact with it and dismiss it as annoying, but Shuichi doesn’t. He just loves it, loves the silence it seems to naturally bring, loves the tranquility of its nature.
There’s a poem he really likes, Quieter than Snow, by Bertie Dorherty, that he heard when he was in school. It’s a poem he always thinks about when he sees snow (which is rather often after he moved to Sapporo), even though he knows the poem isn’t actually about snow and is actually rather eerie. He’s never been much of a literature person, being more of a science kid than language, but Kaede, and surprisingly Maki both studied the subject as an elective, and the latter taught him the poem during one of their study sessions with Kaito. It’s somewhat creepy, in his opinion, and sends shivers down his spine, but it’s beautifully written, portrays silence and the strange feelings of feeling alone in somewhere that shouldn’t be, perfectly. The same silence always comes with the falling of snow, and even though Shuichi knows snow absorbs sound and that’s why everything seems so quiet around it, he can’t help but think of the poem.
It takes two minutes until the doorbell is answered. The oakwood doors creak open as Shuichi looks over, and lets a smile spread across his face as Sora opens the door, her face lighting up along with the porch, which is immediately submerged in the light streaming out from the entrance hall.
“Shuichi!” the young woman exclaims, and walks forward to pull the man inside. “We’ve been waiting for you! Sorry it took so long and sorry for leaving you in the cold, Akira was crying and everyone was fussing over her and all…”
“It’s no problem,” the man assures her, and her face relaxes. Shuichi changes into his indoor shoes- he smiles as he sees the shoes with his name clipped on them. He doesn’t live here with Rantaro’s sisters, but he’s over so often that they’ve prepared everything for him in case he drops over anytime.
“Everyone else is in the living room, I think, you’ll probably find whoever you’re looking for there.” Sora smiles at him, and then disappears into a corridor, no doubt off to the sewing room- Shuichi remembers Rantaro describing her as the most creative person he knew, and Shuichi completely agrees. Sora is an avid fan of textiles and sewing, and works as a fashion designer- she’s rather famous here in Japan, actually, and her designs are always popular. He’s seen some of them himself, and found himself extremely impressed- it’s like she weaves her outfits out of strands of moonlight and threads of sunlight. Naoko told him once that she recognized the necklace he wears upon seeing him because of the string the sea glass is strung on, and that it’s one of Sora’s special designs, woven out of the finest silks into a durable pearl-coloured string, and simply was irreplicable.
Despite how large the mansion is- Shuichi finds himself constantly surprised with the vastness of the Amami fortune no matter how many times he’s seen it in action- he’s been around enough times to know his way around. He finds his way to the living room easily, knocking lightly on the oak doors.
This time, his call is answered fairly quickly. The doors open to someone throwing their arms around him tightly. “Shuichi! We’ve been waiting for you!”
“Minori,” he smiles as he greets Rantaro’s youngest sister, the girl a whole eight years younger than he is. She was three when she was lost, according to Rantaro, and was only found four and a half years ago when she was sixteen. She’s an adult now, and Shuichi feels a pang of guilt in his stomach for not finding her earlier, but he pushes the thought away. “It’s great to see you, too.”
The teenage girl smiles happily as she releases him, and lets him into the room. The living room is vast, with dark chocolate coloured glossy floorboards, and beige pillars with gold swirled in them extend to the tall ceiling metres above him, arching to the middle of the ceiling. On the ceiling itself is a mural of the night sky and all the constellations, which glow in the dark when the lights are off, and a large light shaped like the solar system dangles from it. Further down the room, a carpeted spiral staircase, its handles painted gold and embedded with topaz stones that fracture the light and project tiny rainbows everywhere, leads up to a balcony overlooking the living room, connecting a few rooms together. It’s a gorgeous design, and even if Shuichi’s been here many times over the years since he’s found half of the siblings, which was when this mansion was bought, he still marvels at it every single time.
Rantaro’s sisters are scattered all over the room. In the middle, Ena and Akari are pouring over some drawings as Akari, ever the artist, adds small details to a painting, and in one corner of the room, Hanako is playing Mario Kart with Shiori and Inori on a large screen, and Shuichi watches, smiling, as Shiori crosses the finish line first, letting out a cheer, and her eyes turn to him. She laughs as she waves at him, and calls for her youngest biological sister, who is still behind Shuichi. Minori gives Shuichi’s hand a squeeze before she heads on over to her two biological sisters, who welcome her with hugs, and her second oldest sister. In another corner, Yuki is lounging on the bean bag chairs in the reading corner, back against the shelves overflowing with books, a pile of novels on the ground next to her, and typing away on her computer- Yuki’s a writer and poet, and Shuichi likes talking to her about plots and stories, and her books are always really beautifully written and interesting. She’s talking to Naoko as she types, and the other girl is finally smiling and laughing again, like Rantaro told him she did when she was small. The young woman had been through countless hardships and was even forced to help with numerous kidnappings, and it’d taken them ages to persuade her to come back to Japan. Initially she’d refused, and Shuichi and Amaka were forced to leave without her, but two months later, she’d appeared on the mansion’s doorstep, seeking refuge after deserting her slavers. Amaka had taken her in without a single moment of hesitation, and Shuichi was beyond relieved it had worked out okay. Naoko’s now studying translation, and she’s truly talented in the subject- Shuichi finds himself constantly impressed by her ability to speak fluently in so many different languages.
He’s an only child, Shuichi is, but being with Rantaro’s sister lets him in on the feeling of being an older brother to these lovely young women. They seem to treat him like an older brother too, and even though Shuichi wouldn’t dream of ever replacing Rantaro (and he’s sure the girls won’t either), he feels welcome with them. Like they’re family. Akari calls Shuichi her brother in law, and so do a couple of the others, and even though Shuichi feels vaguely uncomfortable with it- after all, he never had the chance to confess to Rantaro when he was alive- but he grows used to it after a while.
Some of Rantaro’s sister, like Ena and Hanako, aren’t always home- they stay in where they were lost for half the year or so, reunite with the family they built there while lost, so Shuichi especially enjoys and cherishes these times when they’re all home and the family is (almost) complete. It’s also why he loves the autumn and winter seasons so much- it gives him time to spend with his newfound family. He spends as much time as he can spare with them, gives them what they want, does everything he can for them, for Rantaro’s sake, for their brother who never got the chance to reunite with all of them.
“Shuichi!” he turns to see Kaede appearing at the top of the staircase, her signature bright smile on her face as she rushes downstairs and forward. He does the same, and they meet each other in the middle, Kaede reaching to embrace her childhood friend, the closest thing she ever had to a brother in her childhood days, and vice versa.
He’s always found it rather interesting and surprising that Kaede found love in one of Rantaro’s sisters- Amaka, in fact, who’s probably in one of the children’s rooms right now (probably Akira’s , their adopted daughter). It’s like fate always meant for Rantaro and Shuichi to become family, in one way or another. He remembers Rantaro telling him the meaning of the name ‘Amaka’- heaven’s song, and that’s probably what she is to Kaede, who’s a pianist and adores music. She loves her wife a lot, after all- that much is evident, by how Kaede’s eyes light up at the mere sight of Amaka, how she caters to her every need, how she looks at her wife with nothing but adoration.
“Kaede,” he greets her. “What did you call me here for? It’s past nine already.”
She frowns a little, and gestures at one of the rooms that connect to the balcony. “Your godson wanted to see you. He’s refusing to sleep until you come by.”
Shuichi sighs, but a smile is on his lips. He loves his godson, adores spending time with him. He isn’t surprised this happened, actually- with his mother, Rina, off on a week-long exchange trip to Korea (she’s a teacher in a primary school) and his father accompanying her, and his mother’s twin Riku staying the night at her girlfriend’s, the three year old’s bound to feel scared. He gestures to Kaede to leave it to him, and as Kaede beams and thanks him before heading up to her daughter’s room, he makes his way towards the one of the far left, with its door ajar.
He knocks, and enters his godson’s room. It’s painted baby blue, and photos are hung all over one of the walls, of different countries and the young boy’s twelve aunts, and a few of Shuichi and Kaede and Rantaro. Toys are littered all over the floor, and a white bookcase is built up against one of the corners of the room.
The small boy is curled up in a nest of pillows and blankets, and as Shuichi enters, he looks up, and his face brightens. “Shuichi!” he says in greeting, and he sits down on the bed, smiling.
“Hey, Taro,” he strokes his godson’s hair softly. It was incredibly sweet of Rina to name her son after her deceased brother, and even sweeter of her husband and her to name Shuichi godfather when small Rantaro was born. The boy has his mother’s silky blonde hair that looked just like the manifestation of sunlight, and the cerulean blue eyes Shuichi found ever so familiar (Riku and Rina has the exact same eyes), and even though he doesn’t look like his namesake, Shuichi can see the Rantaro he knew in the young boy, in his quiet thoughtfulness and love of adventure, and Shuichi loves him for who he is. He knows, that up above, in Heaven, Rantaro’s looking down on this child, and smiling.
“I don’t wanna sleep,” the boy says, and Shuichi can see the terror in his eyes, the fear he carries of sleeping without his parents by his side for the first time ever. “I can’t sleep, not without Oka-san here, Shuichi, I want her here with me-”
Shuichi ruffles Rantaro’s hair as he says soothingly, “You know your mother can’t be here with you tonight, Taro… she’ll be back very soon. You know, she’s probably looking at the sky right now, where she is, and wondering if you’re asleep yet, worrying if you’re too scared to sleep alone, or if you miss her too much. Your mother loves you a lot, you know that.”
Rantaro’s cerulean eyes are large, and beautiful, as if they hold miles and miles of oceans in them, but at this moment the waters inside are wild and rogue, waves splashing and crashing down from high up, and they look into Shuichi’s desperately as he leans into his godfather and hugs him tightly. Shuichi hugs back, trying the best he can to comfort the terrified boy.
At last, Rantaro says, his voice muffled by Shuichi’s clothes, “Shuichi, tell me a story.”
He complies, starting to rise to get a storybook from the bookshelf, but Rantaro clutches onto him tightly. “Taro, I can’t get a book if you don’t let go,” he tells the boy softly, but the three year old still holds on tight.
“I don’t want just any other story, Shuichi, I’ve heard most of those books before,” he says, “you read them to me, remember? I want a story about you. About- about Uncle Rantaro.”
Shuichi widens his eyes in surprise, but he smiles, giving in to his godson’s request. He finds himself talking about Rantaro (the one who is his best friend) and him meeting, laughing slightly when he reaches the point where Rantaro waited for him for the entire night just to apologize for something his father did; he talks about how they met up every week at the coffee shop, how they had unintentionally gotten into the same secondary school; he talks about their trips to find Rantaro’s sisters, about his first kiss, about the one time they succeeded and brought Rina home; he finds himself smiling bitterly as he goes onto talking about how Rantaro had died saving Rina in the bus crash, laughing briefly at how he shut himself in, and he tells his godson about how he found his closure. But most of all, he talks about Rantaro as a person, and as he talks he sees his best friend in his mind, with his comforting smile, the constant sadness present in his pretty lemongrass eyes, his windswept, tousled hair, and how he was always so selfless and kind and caring. He finds himself unable to stop a tear from rolling down his cheek as he tells small Rantaro how his namesake cared for his sisters, for everyone around him, and tiny Rantaro listens attentively, engrossed in Shuichi’s stories.
“He died so your mother, and you, could live,” Shuichi tells the boy. “He’d be so happy to see you living today, he’s probably smiling down at you and watching everything you do. He’s always with me, and he’s always with you.”
Rantaro (the young boy, that is) is silent for a moment, and then he says, “why’s the ending so sad?”
Shuichi’s caught off guard, “Huh?”
“Why couldn’t Uncle Rantaro have lived?” the boy asks. “Why did he have to die in the end and make everyone so sad? Why can’t he and you just, I don’t know, live happily ever after?”
Shuichi laughs a little as he pats his godson on the head lightly. “Rantaro, but it is a happy ending.”
The three year old tilts his head, confused, “But he died! You were so upset, and Oka-san was upset, and everyone was sad over it…”
“Happy endings come in all shapes and sizes,” Shuichi says quietly. “Rantaro may have died and left us, but he died protecting his sister, one of the people he loved most. He died protecting your mother, and you, and he achieved his purpose perfectly- look, you and your mother are leading a life that’s full of happiness, see? Your Uncle Rantaro would’ve been so happy if he was here now. Besides, his greatest wish was to find all his sisters, and even if he died before he could see everyone back, they’re all safe and sound now, aren’t they? His death isn’t the end of the story, just the part that shocked everyone, the plot twist that makes the story worth reading. We’re living out the end of the story now. We’re living out his happy ending.”
Shuichi touches the sea glass around his neck. He doesn’t need it anymore, not now, for now, he’s finally letting go, letting the guilt and grief and everything stay in the past. His memories of him are dear, and are important to Shuichi, but Shuichi now knows, now realizes, that he doesn’t need the sea glass to prove to him that Rantaro is there with him.
Because Rantaro isn’t only in the sea glass. He’s everywhere, in his sisters’ smiles and laughter, he’s there in Shuichi’s happiness and there to guide him when times are rough. Rantaro is in his heart, a lamp to guide his way in the dark, the path of moonlight on the sea so Shuichi can pass through safely. Rantaro is there with Shuichi no matter what.
He hesitates, and then unfastens the necklace around his neck. Reaching out to take his godson’s hand, he puts it there and closes his hand gently. “Take this, Rantaro. It belonged to your uncle, to someone I loved very much, and when I was wearing it, I felt his presence with me, and it comforted me and gave me strength when I needed it. But now, it’s time to pass this on. Put it on, and your uncle will always be with you, and he’ll guide your path when you need help, and you’ll never be alone. Remember, when you touch this, that you aren’t alone, and you have me, and your mother and father, and all your aunts.”
Rantaro looks at the necklace, seemingly touched, and he looks up at Shuichi. “Could you help me put it on?” he murmurs, and Shuichi smiles, taking it and easily clasping it around Rantaro’s neck.
“Now go to sleep,” he tells his godson, who smiles and nods.
He stays there after he turns the lights off, watches his godson drift off into the land of dreams, and places his hand over where the sea glass used to be. It feels strangely empty, without the necklace he’d worn for years, but Shuichi’s no longer afraid of the dark.
“You’re much braver than I remembered,” a voice whispers from the doorway, and Shuichi turns to see Kaede standing there with a smile on her face. “I’m proud of you, and Rantaro would be, too.”
Shuichi stands, and walks out to meet Kaede. They stand on the balcony, overlooking Rantaro’s sisters living out the childhood they lost with each other. “I’m just doing what Rantaro would’ve wanted me to do,” he says. “I’ve found all of his sisters, brought them all home, finished his last wish. Rantaro wouldn’t have wanted me to be stuck in the past, or to never move on after his death. He’d want me to live his ‘happily ever after’ for him, and that’s what I'm doing now.”
Kaede laughs. “And to think that this is the same person who yelled at me when I tried to get him to move on all those years ago,” she teases him.
“Hey! I was busy being traumatized back then!” he protests, and Kaede ruffles his hair as he ducks away, laughing.
He looks out over the handrails again, and can’t help but smile at the sight of Rantaro’s sisters- his sisters- as they mingle, and live, and write out their own happy endings. They were all once lost, torn apart by fate, but they all rewrote their destinies and managed to reunite.
Now, it’s Shuichi’s turn to rewrite his destiny, to live out his happy ending for Rantaro. He touches the spot where the necklace used to be again, and smiles,
and knows in his heart that Rantaro will always watch over him.

List of my dnd npcs
Sal Tercers: A young paladin water genasi, a descendant of a Silver Dragon. He's lawful good, very kind and sweet. He's got dragon hoarding tendancys, and his current hoard was inherited for his 7th great grand mother. He's got pale blue skin, but vitiligo that's silver in nature, as well as tiny dragon scales around his wrist. He's learning sorcerery, and his favourite colour is purple
Sorra Liliac: A young fighter girl that's also a water genasi. She's lawful good, but often seen as rude to the players. She's a brute, and works directly with the king of her town. She's very close with Sal, that she knows the exact location of his hoard. She's got long, dark blue hair she keeps tied up, as well as light blueish purple skin. Secretly, she wants to be a bard but also she can not turn away from serving her king.
Peter Tercers: Little is known about his past, besides what Puck has figured out. However my players follow my blog so it'd spoil the fun if I told it now. This water genasi is 18 years old physically, but was trapped in the astral plane for a hundred years, making him 118. He's a rogue, and a Haunted One, who's chaotic neutral but just wants himself some peace. His hair is bright Purple, which blends in very well with the Waters of Trivyn. His skin, also, is pale blue with silver patches of vitiligo, and silver dragon scales on his wrist. He saves our players from potential and sudden death in the astral plane, before later "dying" in the House of Haunting, a building containing homebrew monsters in the Plane of Thought. However, it is revealed that he did Not die, but rather "reborn" by Thoth. He received a gift, a blue velvet robe, and also accidentally kissed puck (not that he's complaining). The little pieces of childhood he's shared was that he wasn't a good kid, that he had an elf aunt, and that he had 1 brother 2 sisters.
The Robed Figure: Little is known about the robed figure. He is linked to the presence of the Orbs used to guide and teleport our players to and through the planes of reality. He is extremely powerful, though to what extent we do not know. Puck is the only one who's been able to see him since he first met them, since Puck has truesight. His robe is made with blue velvet material, and he's non corporal.
Kalamari: a darkmantle who was dragged into this mess by a really good Deception check, mostly useless except for being cute and adorable. I have nothing for this rock squid, except for the fact it died once but not really. Still lovable.
Pine Daeran: the first monster of the campaign, who was seduced and then adopted by Ena Daeran. He tags along with the players as they went on adventures pre-campaign, and later received a huge amount of hitpoint to his max by the Robed Figure (literally gained 54 hit points to his 2 max.) Pine later on gains Warlock-like powers from an unknown source, and gets himself into a lot of trouble. He cast True Seeing on Puck, which accidentally became Permanent. He's also cast Foresight on Puck and Fen, but it was a very strong spell. Puck gt a vision of Peter dying, whereas Fen got a vision of a rose path lined with a white picket fence and a strong urge to win. Puck is also the last one to make it through the House of Haunting, and also the Only One, in which he was killed by the god Is'is and reborn in the blue circle. He is literally 15 months old.
Illana: Outside of Ena's flashback, little is known about Illana. She met Ena when she was 19 and Ena was 100, so they were roughly within the same maturity level. They were roommates at Cleric school, and she was very happy, sweet, excitable, and pretty. Ena had a crush on her, however 8 years after meeting Illana it was discovered that her home was Burned and she dies there. They buried an empty casket. Illana has pale green hair, green eyes, pale blue skin that was dotted with silver vitiligo. She also had silver dragon scales on her wrist. Through math, Illana was 26 to 27 when she died. Ena has not shared any information to her companions about Illana

“The name’s Marcas. Marcas Murtagh.”
Aed couldn’t help but interject,
“I thought you said you’re a selkie.”
“Yeah but my name’s Marcas.”
His sister looked up at the stranger with awe. “You mean what Gran talks about sometimes? The faeries?”
Marcas gave a lazy smile. “Yep.”
Aed noted the barely contained excitement radiating off Ena. He held back a groan as she patted him on the leg.
“Aed look he’s got a coat! We gotta take his coat so he can stay with us!”
The boy’s smile wavered and he drew his cloak closer.
“Ena, that’s stealing.”
“But that’s what everyone does in the stories right?”
“Argh…Ena just...go somewhere else right now. Come on.” He grabbed the stranger, Marcas, and tugged him toward the staircase,“and don’t even try coming in!”
“What happened to kicking me out?” Marcas now was the smug one.
“I’m still going to do that,” Aed retorted tossing his wet clothing save for his boxers on the open windowsill before going to his closet to grab a new sweater and jeans. He didn’t dare change in front of Marcas, but out of pity he thought to offer the other some actual clothes before he kicked him out of his room. He looked back at the other teen and noticed that, curiously, Marcas’ cape was dry. On closer inspection he did see that what he thought was a hood was in fact a-
“Aed, would you and your friend like some tea?”
“Mammy see the sealcoat? See?”
Jesus Mary Joseph. He just told her and now Ena got his own Mother into the mix. The two stood by the door, his Flann Carrick a graceful brunette with piercing green eyes.
“Tea sounds lovely, Miss.”
“He’s not a friend, Mam. He’s some guy who followed me home from the beach... I was just about to give him clothes and get Dad to kick him out.”
The older woman raised a brow examining the stranger for herself, said stranger pulling his cloak closer. After a long pause she tucked a stray lock behind her ear and sighed giving her son a stern look with piercing blue eyes.
“Aed, did I not raise you right for the past 17 years? You welcome strangers into your home, not shut them out,” she turned to the dark-haired teen, her expression softening, “it looks like you're from out of town. Are you travelling with anyone?”
Marcas thumbed his cloak and shot Aed a sheepish expression, “No miss. Just looking for a bit of sustenance, and good company.”
The sudden change in the other’s behavior, this sudden vulnerability, was intriguing. Aed didn’t quite know what to make of it.
“We can certainly do something about food. I’ll send up some tea and things and you may join us for dinner. The other thing you’ll have to explain yourself more, dear, but we’ll do what we can. For now, Aed do give him some clothes, and be a gentleman. I know today was difficult, but your own situation is no excuse to be cold to others.”
Chivvying Ena out his Mam gave Aed one more look before shutting the door. There was a silence while the teen hastily dug into his closet completely avoiding eye contact as he handed Marcas a set of clothes. He turned away once more as the other began to unfasten his sealskin. Coat. Whatever. It dropped revealing a muscular, yet extremely thin frame.
“Thanks.”
“Uh yeah. I’ll be back when you’re done,” Aed knew his ears were beginning to turn red as he swiftly walked into his closet and shut the door behind him, his mind turning. The selkie thing was starting to become more convincing. Obviously this guy had no human sense of decency!
---
While he was in the closet Aed quickly changed pants. It felt much better to be dry once again. He heard a knock and opened the door. Marcas was smirking at him for some reason. The other’s cloak was absent, and he properly dressed, but Aed’s clothes didn’t suit the him at all. Aed’s height and Marcas’ stockier frame made for a tight awkward fit and... the human made fibers seemed to not quite mesh with the teen in general.
The redhead folded his arms and scowled at Marcas.
“You won. There.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah. You’re staying for dinner after all.”
“Yes...I owe your family one.”
“Hmph. I’ll keep that in mind.”
“Ring ring! Tea n’ snacks” Ena’s muffled voice piped up from behind the doorway.
Sighing Aed went to open the door. He held out his hands for the drinks, but his sister walked right past him nudging some papers aside with the tray to make room. Aed took the cup he was offered and sipped at it.
“Thanks... you did this just so you could bother him again, hm?”
Ena huffed turning her back to him in order to hand Marcas his tea, “At least he’s nicer than you’ve been all week. Hey if you become my brother would I turn into a selkie too?”
Marcas chuckled and accepted the cup. He patted the young girl on the head with his free hand before grabbing two biscuits, “‘Fraid that’s not how it works, but I appreciate the good words, Ena.”
“Aww…” Regardless, Ena smiled as she made her way toward the door, “Mam said if I helped with dinner I’d be able to choose dessert, so gotta go! See you later, Marcas!”
“Thanks for the tea.” As quick steps retreated down the hallway the room became silent once more. The long-haired teen shoved his hand into his pockets looking around the room.
As he followed Marcas’ line of vision Aed hopped off his bed and started tidying. His room had grown extremely messy after graduation. Old clothes were mixed with his notes, and data from past presentations were slopped across his desk. His floor had become a bit of a mine field after he threw his rock collection when he was in an especially foul mood. He was glad his Mam hadn’t said anything when she came in, but the guilt was beginning to settle.
He heard footsteps wander over to somewhere and saw Marcas staring out his window. Shoving the rocks into their proper box he joined the other. The strip of sea that was visible from his room was what held the teen’s gaze. “Miss it already?” He joked lightly. Marcas only grunted in response before turning his attention back to redhead. The boy smirked before taking even more biscuits.
“Wanting me to go back isn't very hospitable. I’m so hurt.”
“Speaking of that,” Aed thumbed the edge of his sweater sleeve as he continued “...Why did you follow me home? I’ve just been...well...a bit of a jerk to you.”
The teen’s expression turned strange once more, “You called me, mistake or not.”
He wasn’t elaborating for a reason, but Aed knew enough when not to push. After all they barely knew each other and he should be nicer to Marcas. He tugged at a knot of string inside his sweater sleeve as he entertained a thought.
Don’t all selkie stories end in tragedy?
