Comedy is an evolving medium, while some classics will continue to permeate, as the expanses of culture and comedy continue onwards, some others get lost in the archives or the occasional rerun. One such example was The Three Stooges from the early 20s to the 70s, which entertained many with their antics, but reruns can only bring in new fans for so long. It makes me wonder how many Hal vs Spiders the show has had.

Meanwhile....the teaser screenshot wasn’t actually the reason I wanted to highlight this episode. It’s the surprising way Francis reacted when faced with an opportunity to make things easier for himself. The only catch was he would be taking advantage of his boss. 

(I’m actually wondering if it’s because of Lois sticking to her guns as an example or it’s just Francis’ disposition. I like the reminder though: a rebel isn’t automatically someone who’s dishonest)

FRANCIS You have no idea? I've never worked on a ranch in my life.

ZEKE Really?

FRANCIS Yeah. I've never even been near a horse you don't put quarters in.

ZEKE Oh, that's great. Listen, you know, you stepped into a gold mine here. I mean, the people who run this place are absolute idiots.

FRANCIS Oh, I don't know. They seem really nice.

ZEKE 'Nice' isn't thw word for it. I mean you don't do a lick of work and they'll still pay you.

FRANCIS You're kidding.

ZEKE I'm telling you, all we got to do is watch each other's backs and we can milk these people for all they're worth. What do you think?

FRANCIS looks at him for a moment, slacked-jawed.

FRANCIS I think you're fired.

He turns and grabs a bridle and stirrups from the wall of horse tacks.

FRANCIS Now, excuse me. I'm going to find out if this is for me or the horse.

ZEKE just watches his new boss leave. Jaw dropped.

"Ctrl" is a web mini-series starring Tony Hale and Emy Coligado (malcolm in the middle). Based on the Sundance winning short film "Ctrl Z" , with the same actors, its about the human desire to have a "ctrl z" or undo button in our lives and Stuart here is living the dream after someone accidentally spilled Nestea over his keyboard. 

In the third episode, Stuart admits to his fellow employee, Lizzie, that he harbors a longtime crush on her and she shows that she feels the same way by kissing him. Because he doesn't want to wait for the second kiss, Stuart presses the ctrl z multiple times, but not realizing that he has to express again  his heartfelt monologue of his love for her. The above gifs show that he should have waited for that second kiss after work, after all.
