Who: @meicarrillo
Where: Event - Lucky Joe's Stand
Emily moved herself into the line at Lucky Joe's. She loved bagels and coffee was one of her weaknesses so she was quite a regular at the store. It was only once she was in the line that she noticed who was now stood behind her, "Mei," she grinned. The woman was her boss but Emily still liked to consider her a friend. Mei had taken a gamble on Emily, and Emily made it her job to repay her for that everyday, by being the best she could be. "Good to know I'm not the only one with a weakness for bagels."

So, for ArtFight this year I had a "Design A Demigod" section to help me get the designs for these 500+ campers I've been working on to flesh out the camp population throughout canon, and to my delight, I got thirteen* designs out of it, which I am very grateful for! I've now managed to give all of those kids their own icons in my own style (and assigning them their names and/or beads where necessary), and am now showing them off because these original designs were all amazing!
*I can count, I promise - one of these was given to me outside of ArtFight, because this is not a thing that is limited to ArtFight and more info about the project will be at the bottom of this post if anyone's interested!
The kids shown here are...
Top row, left - Maria Waltz, daughter of Terpsichore. Original design by @worlds-oldest-teenager
Top row, middle - Penelope Oswald, daughter of Morpheus. Original design by @kitsartblog
Top row, right - Chimere Neal, daughter of Hypnos. Original design by @txny-dragon
Second row, left - Enya Tolliver, daughter of Hephaestus. Original design by @saszor
Second row, middle - Rhys Garcia, [unclaimed] child of Aphrodite. Original design by @choconoru
Second row, right - Oli Blair, son of Athena. Original design by @paradisepudding
Third row, left - Aidan McKinney, son of Hephaestus. Original design by @paradisepudding
Third row, middle - Sirius Blecher, child of Hephaestus. Original design by Inkandquill150 [Instagram/ArtFight]
Third row, right - Naomi Rose, daughter of Aphrodite. Original design by LovelyNight [ArtFight]
Fourth row, left - Kei Winship, child of Dionysus. Original design by callie0hpee [DeviantArt/ArtFight]
Fourth row, middle - Emily Brown, daughter of Eris. Original design by acrophyll [ArtFight]
Fourth row, right - Georgie Bond, daughter of Demeter. Original design by @krystalguitarthemums
Bottom row, left - Aoife Kearney, daughter of Ares. Original design by @austinwehaveaproblem
Bottom row, right - Grace Faraday, daughter of Athena. Original design by @austinwehaveaproblem
So what is this project?
Basically, I'm populating the entirety of the camp from 1998 through to 2020 for fic reasons. I've worked out all the kids' names, parentages and camp dates, and have opened the floor for people to help come up with visual designs for all of these kids. If there's any general interest on tumblr, I'll put up details of what I'm looking for later.

30 Covers, 30 Days 2023: Day 20
Day 20 is represented by Science Fiction novel I Am Not Unseen by YWP writer Emily Brown! This cover was designed by the amazing Catelijne van Middelkoop!
I Am Not Unseen
Claire lives in a world where a small amount of people have superpowers. Unfortunately, she does as well.
She is invisible, inaudible, untouchable —and she's been trapped like this for the last 6 years, with no way to be seen. Even her own brother doesn't know she's alive.
Then Tam moves to town, the boy who sees things that aren't real — or so they say. But Claire knows it's not true, because as they both find out, he sees her. He's the only one who sees her. Can Claire truly be seen again? And can Tam set aside his fears to help a girl he's only just met, a girl who may not even be real?
About the Author

Emily has wanted to be a writer since the day she learned that books are created by people, and has not changed her mind.
Her goal is to be a published novelist, and she hopes NaNoWriMo will help her finish her first draft.
About the Designer
Catelijne van Middelkoop is a third generation Dutch designer and co-founder of Strange Attractors Design, a trans-disciplinary research studio known for its experimental and nonconformist approach to critical design practices.

Who: @cleostjamess
Where: Thornberry Adventure Park
Emily was all but dragging Cleo around the adventure park, which wasn't much of a surprise given the entirety of their friendship. Emily was loud and overconfident whereas Cleo was quiet and measured. Emily had basically persued Cleo for months before they'd become friends, she'd perserved until Cleo had finally given in. If Emily was known for anything it could be her commitment. Emily could see that Cleo was a good person, and she liked to be surrounded by good people.
She moved towards the candy floss stand, Cleo's hand in her own, "okay, so I need sugar and then we need to go and see the Giraffes," she declared, "sound good with you?" she asked. Emily loved animals, sure she'd rather see them in the wild but she'd done her research and Thornberry did a pretty good job at rehabilitation.
