So. I know I don't have a lot of followers here. But I need to.. try. I need to do something.
These are two of my horses, Patti and Nimue. They are currently in the ICU- something happened, no one is sure what, but both of them just.. stopped drinking and colicked.
Patti, the brown mare, is 24- she's starting to stabilize and improve. The golden filly is Nimue, her granddaughter, and she's 4- shes... not stabilizing as quickly or as clearly though she is showing improvements.
I literally just had an animal veterinary emergency last month so I am.. struggling. And I don't mind if I have to go without some things for a while, but I have to give them both every chance that I can. They deserve that and so much more. So-
I'm offering these services for sale. If you can't purchase or commission me, please please spread and share this as much as you can.
Furthermore if you'd just... like to donate, this is the link to my ko-fi. Please just consider donate because I am so serious that every single dollar helps.
I'm so sorry to ask. My own job doesn't pay entirely well, and I haven't yet finished studying for my Masters to get one that pays better. And I can't give up on them. I won't.

Guess whose broccoli burps landed her in the ER at 2 am. I’ll give you a hint. It wasn’t me.
It was only 1/4 cup cooked broccoli with nothing on it but apparently that was enough to upset her tummy big time. She was restless all night. Not pacing or retching but wouldn’t settle and go to sleep. At 11 pm I gave her some Omeprazole incase it was a tummy ache but she wasn’t showing any other symptoms until 2 am when she started to have some bloating, stomach pain and diarrhea (she NEVER has diarrhea).
I gave her max dose of Simethicone before driving across town to the emergency vet. By the time we got there she was burping repeatedly in the vet techs face (who still deemed her the favorite patient of the night bc she’s so good at the vet 🥲) It was some bloating but not GDV. They said I did everything right & gave the proper medications for the situation and they were kind enough not to charge me for bringing her in.
Ironically I already had an 8 am vet apt scheduled for sedated xrays. They said as of now it’s not an emergency but to get extra X-rays during that apt just in case. That’s in 2 1/2 hrs. I haven’t slept all night and as soon as we got home from the ER Mandana started retching. It freaked me out all over again but she stopped soon after and is sleeping soundly now. She’s gonna have the best sedated nap tomorrow and I’ll be lucky to make it there and back in one piece.

This is my retired service dog, Meatball. She’s 9 years old and has been with me for 4 years. She got me through an abusive relationship, years with chronic illness and pain, and serious mental health issues and has never left my side.
She also has chronic health issues, like chronic ear infections and UTI’s that are usually cleared up without a problem using antibiotics and a vet visit. This time however; the antibiotics wouldnt work.
I’ve gone to the vet three times for the same issue in the past three months, including an emergency visit late at night due to swelling in the side of her face that will not go away despite how many antibiotics she’s been taking.
This infection just keeps coming back. After the most recent swelling and emergent vet visit, the doctor told us that without a surgery (that we can’t afford) Meatball isn’t going to recover. We’re trying stronger antibiotics for a long time to try to see if that helps and prevents the infection from spreading further, but without the proper scans and surgery, it’s likely that we’ll have to put meatball down to prevent her infection from spreading and killing her in an even more painful way.
I’ve made a gofundme to help raise money to help meatball get this life saving surgery so she can have a good senior life with me.

Hey everyone I don’t normally do this but my sons service dog needs to go to the vet. He stopped using his back to legs and we have to carry him outside and back. My son is currently taking emergency commissions to help pay for the vet bill.
Here is how to get a hold of him to commission a piece. Every bit helps even if it’s just a reblog thank you.

⏰ 🚨 attention please🙏🚨
I am Dr. Mohammed Aldeeb,🩸💉 a dedicated specialist in emergency medical care from the Gaza Strip.
💊 🩺🩹
For years, I poured my heart and soul into my work at Al-Shifa Hospital, striving to be a doctor of great repute,
caring for the wounded and the ill with compassion and skill.💉🩹
However😥,
the devastation of war disrupted our lives and prevented us from serving our patients at Al-Shifa Hospital😣💔,
forcing me to leave my cherished home and the familiar walls of the hospital that had become my second home, a place of comfort, peace, and beautiful memories of my work.😔
As I left behind the echoes of laughter and camaraderie with my colleagues, patients, and friends,😰
I embarked on a painful journey southward. I bid farewell to the streets where I grew up, the corners I sought refuge in😥😭💔, and the colleagues who felt like family.
Memories of my formative years and the countless lives I touched during my tenure at Al-Shifa 😣and other medical facilities, such as Friends of the Patient Hospital and the Indonesian Hospital, overwhelmed me as I struggled to come to terms with the upheaval.😔😥
Despite the adversities that besieged me,
I held fast to my dream of becoming a successful doctor. 😀😁✌💚
I was fortunate enough to study medicine at Al-Azhar University, from which I graduated and later served as a teaching assistant, imparting knowledge to aspiring medical students with unwavering dedication. 😀🙏🖤
The idea of specializing in internal medicine drew me back to Al-Shifa Hospital, but sadly,
the brutal war destroyed it, shattering my hopes. In the midst of the chaos and destruction brought by war🥺😣💔
I sustained multiple injuries and narrowly escaped with my life. 🥺
The sanctuary of my home, a place of peace and beautiful memories, was completely destroyed, leaving my family and me impoverished and homeless. 😣💔😰
Yet, amidst the ruins, a glimmer of hope persists as I continue my work at Al-Aqsa Hospital😀, extending a helping hand to those in need without expecting anything in return. I draw strength from the humanity and love instilled in me by my teachers and mentors during my years of education and service.✌😁❤
Today, we find ourselves taking refuge in a humble tent, ⛺ 😭😣💔
stripped of our possessions and livelihoods. The loss of my job, my home, and some of my loved ones is a heavy burden to bear. 😢
Nevertheless, I refuse to succumb to despair, holding on to the belief that brighter days lie ahead.
With a heavy heart, I reach out to you🥺🙏💚
dear reader, seeking your assistance in securing safe passage for myself and my family from the chaos and brutality of war in Gaza. 🥺🙏🇵🇸🍉💔🖤💛💝
With your kindness and generosity🥺, I hope to reclaim the path to achieving my medical career, 🩺💉🩸
becoming a specialist in internal medicine, and returning to help my people.
This would enable me to provide care for my loved ones and contribute to the healing of our wounded nation.Your compassionate aid would mean the world to me and my family.🥺🙏❤🇵🇸✌

Why Regular Wellness Exams Are Essential for Your Pet’s Health
At The Ark Animal Clinic, we believe that prevention is better than cure, and that’s why regular wellness exams are a cornerstone of our veterinary services. These routine check-ups are not just about giving your pet a clean bill of health—they’re an essential part of ensuring your furry friend lives a long, happy, and healthy life.
What Are Wellness Exams?
Wellness exams are comprehensive health check-ups that allow us to assess your pet’s overall condition. During these exams, our experienced veterinarians perform a thorough physical examination, checking your pet from nose to tail. We look for any signs of potential health issues, assess their weight, skin, coat, teeth, and overall behavior, and make recommendations tailored to your pet’s specific needs.
Why Are They Important?
Regular wellness exams are crucial because they help detect any underlying health problems early, when they are easier (and often less expensive) to treat. Many conditions, such as dental disease, obesity, and even heart issues, can develop slowly without obvious symptoms. By scheduling regular exams, you give us the opportunity to catch these issues before they become serious, ensuring your pet remains in optimal health.
What to Expect During a Wellness Exam
During a wellness exam at The Ark Animal Clinic, you can expect a comprehensive assessment of your pet’s health. We’ll discuss their diet, exercise routine, and any changes in behavior you may have noticed. We may also recommend vaccinations, blood tests, or other diagnostics to ensure your pet is protected against common diseases and conditions.
Tailored Care for Your Pet
Every pet is unique, and so are their health needs. That’s why we tailor each wellness exam to your pet’s specific age, breed, and lifestyle. Whether you have a playful puppy, a curious kitten, or a senior pet, our team is here to provide the best possible care every step of the way.
Book Your Pet’s Wellness Exam Today
Don’t wait until there’s a problem—schedule a wellness exam for your pet at The Ark Animal Clinic today. Regular check-ups are the key to a long, healthy life for your furry companion. Contact us to book an appointment and give your pet the gift of good health.

After the emergency happened on the way home from our road trip, I realized I needed to be able to see Mandana while she is in her car crate.
Her old Ruffland was front/back and I could check on her through the door that was facing towards the front seat. The new Ruffland is front/side. She can get in through both the back and the drivers side which is nice but now I can’t see her and that was terrifying when I thought she might be having anaphylaxis.
I have a vet appointment tomorrow morning to get her aquapuncture and discuss maybe having an epipen on hand but we also went ahead and installed a backseat camera. It was inexpensive, easy to set up and gives me so much peace of mind. For all I know, a bee sting might send her into anaphylactic shock on our way home from the park and I might not even notice something is wrong without the camera.
Another benefit is that it will be easier to notice her behavior change if she alerts while I’m driving. I haven’t decided exactly how I want to go about car alerts but this should help with that for sure.

How to Handle a Pet Emergency: When to Go to the Vet
As pet owners, our furry friends are family members, and their well-being is our top priority. Just like humans, pets can experience emergencies that require immediate medical attention. Recognizing when to go to the vet during a pet emergency can be crucial in ensuring their health and safety. In this blog, we'll cover essential steps to handle a pet emergency and discuss preventive measures such as Wellness Care, Pet Vaccinations, Pet Surgery, and Pet Dental Care to keep your pets healthy.
Recognizing a Pet Emergency
Pet emergencies can range from accidents to sudden illnesses. Here are some common signs that indicate you should rush to the vet:
Difficulty Breathing
If your pet is struggling to breathe, it's a sign of a severe problem that needs immediate attention. Causes can range from choking to respiratory infections, and swift intervention is crucial.
Severe Bleeding
Excessive bleeding, whether from a wound or an orifice, is a serious emergency. Apply pressure to the wound with a clean cloth and get to the vet as quickly as possible.
Unconsciousness or Seizures
If your pet loses consciousness or experiences seizures, it could be due to a number of critical conditions such as poisoning, head trauma, or epilepsy. Immediate veterinary care is necessary.
Persistent Vomiting or Diarrhea
While occasional vomiting or diarrhea can be normal, persistent episodes can lead to dehydration and indicate a more severe issue like poisoning, gastrointestinal obstruction, or infections.
Difficulty Urinating or Defecating
Struggling to urinate or defecate can be a sign of a urinary tract infection, blockage, or other serious conditions. This requires prompt veterinary attention.
Sudden Collapse or Weakness
If your pet collapses or suddenly becomes weak, it could be a sign of a heart problem, internal bleeding, or other critical issues that need immediate medical care.
Steps to Take During a Pet Emergency
Stay Calm: Your pet will sense your anxiety, so staying calm will help keep them calm.
Assess the Situation: Determine the severity of the emergency and whether immediate vet care is necessary.
Contact Your Vet: Call your vet or an emergency animal clinic to inform them of the situation and get advice on what to do next.
Transport Safely: If you need to take your pet to the vet, ensure they are secured and comfortable during transport.
Preventive Measures for Pet Health
Prevention is better than cure. Regular check-ups and preventive care can help avoid many emergencies. At Brunswick Animal Hospital, we offer comprehensive Wellness Care, Pet Vaccinations, Pet Surgery, and Pet Dental Care to ensure your pets stay healthy and happy.
Wellness Care
Routine wellness exams are essential for detecting health issues early. Regular check-ups allow vets to monitor your pet’s health and catch any potential problems before they become emergencies.
Pet Vaccinations
Vaccinations are crucial in preventing infectious diseases. Keeping your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date protects them from potentially life-threatening illnesses like rabies, parvovirus, and distemper.
Pet Surgery
From spaying and neutering to more complex procedures, pet surgery can address various health issues. Post-surgery care is equally important to ensure a smooth recovery and prevent complications.
Pet Dental Care
Oral health is often overlooked but is vital for your pet’s overall health. Regular dental check-ups and cleanings can prevent dental diseases that could lead to more serious health problems.
Conclusion
Handling a pet emergency requires quick thinking and immediate action. Knowing when to go to the vet can make a significant difference in the outcome of the situation. At Brunswick Animal Hospital, we are committed to providing top-notch care through Wellness Care, Pet Vaccinations, Pet Surgery, and Pet Dental Care. Regular preventive care is the best way to ensure your furry friends live long, healthy lives.
Remember, if you ever find yourself in doubt about your pet's condition, it's always better to err on the side of caution and consult with your veterinarian. Your pet's health and safety are worth it.
