UNESCO World Heritage Sites of India:
1. Taj Mahal:
Undoubtedly one of the most iconic symbols of India, the Taj Mahal stands as a testament to eternal love. Located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, this pristine white marble mausoleum was commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Its intricate architecture, intricate carvings, and the mesmerizing play of light during sunrise and sunset make the Taj Mahal a must-visit destination for any traveller.
2. Red Fort:
Situated in the heart of Delhi, the Red Fort, or Lal Qila, is a historic fortress that served as the main residence for Mughal emperors for nearly 200 years. Constructed using red sandstone, the fort is a remarkable blend of Persian, Timurid, and Indian architectural styles. The Red Fort hosts the annual Independence Day celebrations of India on August 15th.
3. Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park:
Located in Gujarat, this UNESCO World Heritage site encompasses the archaeological remnants of a medieval capital and the hill fortress of Pavagadh. Recognized in 2004, it showcases a harmonious blend of Hindu-Muslim architecture and culture. Highlights include the Jami Masjid and intricately carved temples on Pavagadh Hill, offering a glimpse into the historical and cultural significance of this unique site.

Our ELLORA CHARI (simone ashley) is looking for their TWO ROOMMATES. they DO NOT need to be contacted (but you can if you want to) and you can contact them @tctteredwings! this connection is currently open.
Type of connection: Platonic
Name: UTP
Age Range: 25-30
FC suggestions: UTP
Connection trigger warnings: N/A
Connection information: Ellora’s been living with this pair for a couple of years now. They were all looking for somewhere around the same time and it just worked out. They could have been friends for longer or met around the time they got the apartment, I’m really up for anything. If either of them are also employees at the Central Park Zoo, too, that could be fun. I see them as a pretty close trio, who are happy to hang out with one another whenever and frequently have movie and takeout nights together. They’d definitely be there for one another when times get tough, too.

[simone ashley, cis woman, she/her, ALONE TOGETHER, MUSE B! ) – Is that ELLORA ‘ELLE’ CHARI I spotted in new york city? rumour has it they’re 27 born on FEBRUARY 28th and have been in the city for ALL THEIR LIFE! I think I’ve seen them around THE BRONX and working as a KEEPER AT CENTRAL PARK ZOO! They’re really known for HAIR PULLED INTO A SCRUFFY BUN, DIRTY BOOTS BY THE DOOR, PREFERRING ANIMALS TO HUMANS but that’s for you to judge. I hope they like the city!
IN A NUTSHELL; preferring animals to humans, hair pulled up into a scruffy bun, an addiction to sour patch kids, dirty boots by the door, a tendency to move toward sarcasm, kind of judgemental, a gentle heart deep down, 80s pop music played real loud.
tw: acephobia
Name: Ellora Chari Nicknames: Elle Age: Twenty-seven DoB: 28th February 1997 Occupation: Keeper at Central Park Zoo Romantic/sexual orientation: Aromantic/asexual Birthplace: Long Island, New York
IMMEDIATE FAMILY.
Parents: Amit & Leela Chari Siblings: One younger sister Children: None Pets: Currently none, but she has plans
ABOUT.
Ellora was born in Long Island to second-generation American-Tamil Indian parents and had a pretty dull upbringing overall. She was never about to lie over that.
Both her and her sister were left to their own devices for the most part, their parents busy with jobs in the medical profession. Elle, however, had other ideas for her own future.
It became apparent quite early on in her life that she didn’t really enjoy being around people all that much. She didn’t have too many friends, her closest companions her younger sister and the family dog.
School went by slowly, awkwardly, it didn’t take her long to realise she wasn’t exactly the same as the other girls her age. While they were talking about boys ( constantly ) she was thinking about anything but. She had no interest, no crushes, not even when it came to celebrities. Her best friend was obsessing over Harry Styles and questioning why she wasn’t doing the same; Elle, meanwhile, was researching what she planned to do after school, considering jobs with animals.
In the end, she went through her entire school life not caring about boys at all. Naturally, she began to question if that meant it was girls instead, which she realised, of course, that it wasn’t… there was just nothing there.
Her first kiss didn’t happen until seventeen and she’d almost wished it hadn’t. She still regrets even allowing it to happen.
Her full attention went to her education after that, training up in various animal care and zoology courses, keeping herself as busy as she could. Animals had to be the way.
By the time she graduated she’d picked up a job at the Central Park Zoo working in the conservation department. She’s moved through various different areas there, but is now the main keeper for the meerkats.
With work being her main concern for most of her young adult life, it wasn’t until her early twenties that she made any kind of attempt to work out her sexuality again, finally landing upon aroace, although that took a long time. Her mother’s very against it, will constantly tell her how it’s a phase and she’ll meet the right person; she refuses to believe at of it. Elle knows she won’t, not in that capacity, yet the older woman continues on.
It makes sense, her not understanding of course, but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt Elle deeply every time the conversation comes up. She does her best to ignore it, but it's safe to say it's put a strain on her relationship with the older woman.
