♫ The Starlight Festival in Rivendell was a night to remember, filled with the shimmer of lanterns casting soft, golden light across the shimmering landscape, and the music of harps, flutes, and voices intertwining in harmony. It was a time when even the most serious of Elves couldn’t help but be swept up in the magic of the evening. The air was alive with an unspoken sense of celebration, with laughter ringing through the valley, and Lindir, as always, stood at the heart of it. His music enchanted all who gathered, his voice a calming presence that seemed to pull at the very soul, and tonight, his performance was no different. The crowd watched with rapt attention as he strummed the strings of his harp, lost in the beauty of his craft. But you, perhaps a little more affected by the wine than usual, stood near the back, caught up in the magic of the evening. The music felt as though it was wrapping itself around you, pulling you closer to Lindir’s voice. It was a spell, a song that moved through you like a current, and without fully understanding why, you found your feet moving, guided by the music and the overwhelming pull of the moment.
♫ The crowd seemed to blur as you swayed forward, your vision narrowing to Lindir at the front of the stage. His hair, dark and falling in perfect waves, framed his delicate features, and his hands, graceful and fluid, moved expertly over the strings of his harp. His concentration was absolute—he was lost in his performance, his back straight, his eyes focused on the strings in front of him. There was no hint that he even noticed you drawing closer, his entire being wrapped in the melodies he was creating. And then, in an instant, the music no longer mattered, nor did the world around you. The moment felt like it stretched, and before you could fully register what was happening, your body moved of its own accord. You closed the distance between the two of you in a heartbeat, leaning forward, and, as if swept away by an unbidden impulse, you pressed your lips against his. It was sudden, a bold move that was uncharacteristic of you—a kiss that broke all the propriety and restraint you’d known. And then, just as suddenly, you pulled back, your heart racing from the unexpectedness of it all.
♫ For Lindir, everything stopped in an instant. The music, the laughter, the rhythm of the festival—all of it vanished as he froze. His mind struggled to catch up with what had just happened. His eyes widened in shock, unable to process the sudden intrusion of your kiss. The warmth of your lips lingered on his, but his body was still locked in a state of complete disbelief. His heart leapt into his throat, thundering loudly in his chest as his face turned a deep crimson, almost matching the soft glow of the lanterns hanging above him. His pointed ears, usually so serene, flushed a bright shade of pink as well, betraying the depth of his embarrassment. His gaze flickered briefly to the crowd, and for a split second, the realization hit him with a visceral force: this was not just a private moment. This had happened in front of an entire audience. The world seemed to tilt on its axis, and the weight of all the eyes on him threatened to crush him under its intensity. His worst fear had come to life—exposure. He was no stranger to the spotlight, but this was different. This was not the performance he had prepared for. It wasn’t part of the planned act. In an instant, Lindir’s carefully cultivated control slipped through his fingers like sand, and all he could feel was the burning sensation of humiliation flooding through him. His hands, trembling slightly, faltered as they reached for the strings of his harp. He stammered, struggling to regain his composure, but his voice failed him. He didn’t know what to say, what to do. His mind, usually so sharp and composed, had gone completely blank. He tried to find his next note, but it was as if the music itself had disappeared. His heart beat wildly in his chest, and for a moment, he didn’t even know if he could breathe. Desperation, confusion, and panic surged within him as he cast a quick glance toward the crowd. They were still staring—some in shock, others whispering amongst themselves, but all of them waiting for him to react. It was like being caught in a dream, one where he was powerless to change the course of events. His body moved of its own accord. In a moment of panic, Lindir pulled away from the edge of the stage, stepping backward so quickly that his foot almost caught on the edge of the platform. His hands fumbled to place the harp back in position, though his fingers were stiff and clumsy.
♫ “Continue without me,” he muttered, his voice strained and barely audible. His words were not directed at anyone in particular but to the musicians who were still playing behind him. He couldn’t focus. His mind was too scattered, too overwhelmed by the moment to continue. His gaze shifted back to the crowd, still watching him, waiting for him to recover. But he couldn’t. His composure, so carefully guarded, was shattered beyond repair. With a near frantic urgency, Lindir bowed his head and began to step back further into the shadows, his feet quick, almost stumbling in his haste. He didn’t even glance at you, couldn’t bear to meet your eyes in that moment. His only thought was to escape, to put as much distance between himself and the spotlight as possible. The music played on behind him, but the silence in his mind was deafening.
♫ Once backstage in the garden of Rivendell, hidden from the eyes of the crowd, Lindir leaned against the cool stone walls, pressing his palm to his forehead, trying to calm the storm inside him. His breath came in shallow gasps, and though the crowd’s murmurs were muffled, he could still hear their whispers echoing in his mind. What had just happened? What did it mean? His pulse raced, and the heat in his cheeks refused to abate. He wasn’t just mortified by the kiss itself—no, it was the exposure, the attention that had accompanied it. He couldn’t fathom why you had done it, or if it had been a mistake. All he knew was that he was drowning in a sea of confusion. The warmth of your kiss lingered on his lips, and his mind couldn’t seem to shake it. Something stirred deep inside him—something that both frightened and intrigued him—but his own self-consciousness overwhelmed it. He didn’t know how to process it. His head spun with embarrassment, and for the first time in a long while, he felt completely out of control. It was a feeling he wasn’t used to—and one that made him deeply uncomfortable. In the solitude of the backstage gardens, Lindir stood, trying to calm himself, but it was no use. He needed time. Time to process. Time to recover from the unexpected onslaught of emotions that had caught him entirely off guard.
♫ Time passed, though it felt like an eternity, and the festival continued without him. Eventually, the laughter and music faded into the background as the night grew darker. You, too, found yourself retreating from the crowd, seeking solace or perhaps an answer to what had transpired. It was then, in the quiet of the backstage area, that you found Lindir, standing with his back to you, his posture stiff, his shoulders tense. His eyes were closed as if he were trying to block out the world around him. When you approached, he didn’t turn, as though afraid to face you—or perhaps afraid of what he might find in your eyes. Finally, after a long moment, he exhaled shakily, his voice barely above a whisper, the words almost trembling with the vulnerability he rarely allowed himself to show. “I… I did not expect such a… sudden gesture,” he confessed, his hands fidgeting at his sides as if he were unsure of what to do with them. His gaze remained averted, staring at the ground in front of him. “I… I apologize for retreating so quickly, but… I was not prepared for… that. And with so many watching…” He swallowed hard, as if trying to steady his emotions. “Please, do not think poorly of me. I… I was not offended… only… overwhelmed.” For a moment, there was silence between you, the weight of his words hanging in the air. Lindir’s voice quivered slightly, betraying the anxiety that roiled beneath the surface of his composed exterior. His eyes flicked upward toward you, a nervous glance, before they quickly darted away again, as if afraid to hold your gaze. His discomfort was palpable, and yet there was something else, something deeper in his eyes—something that spoke of confusion and uncertainty, but also a spark of something more, something he didn’t quite know how to name.
♫ Despite his shyness and the shock of the moment, he couldn’t entirely hide the warmth in his expression, the faint glimmer of vulnerability that flickered beneath his usual reserve. “I… I do not know what to think just yet,” he admitted quietly, almost to himself. “But I cannot deny… that what you did… affected me. Perhaps in ways I cannot yet understand.” His words were soft, unsure, but there was an openness in his voice that you hadn’t expected. In his flustered state, the barrier he so often kept between himself and others had lowered, if only slightly, and the rawness of the moment had exposed a side of him that was rarely seen. “I… I need time,” he said, his voice trembling slightly, as he finally looked up at you, his gaze steady for the briefest moment. “Please, be patient with me.” And as Lindir, the ever-composed minstrel, stood before you, still shaken but honest in his emotions, you sensed that this unexpected, vulnerable moment might be the beginning of something deeper between you both—something that would take time, understanding, and perhaps a little more courage from both sides to fully explore.

➳ The Starlight Festival was a night that would forever be remembered in Lothlórien, the realm of the Elves bathed in the soft light of the stars above. It was an evening of reverence, where the Elves honored the celestial bodies—those ancient lights that had guided their people for eons. Songs were sung, stories were shared, and the air was filled with an otherworldly energy as the Elves celebrated the constellations, weaving tales of the Firstborn, the Valar, and the timeless beauty of the stars. Haldir stood at the edge of the gathering, as he always did. As a sentinel, his duty was to protect the lands of Lothlórien. His eyes were sharp, his senses alert. Despite the festive atmosphere, his posture was stoic and commanding, ever watchful for any sign of danger. He stood just outside the main circle of revelers, the flickering lantern light casting shadows across his face, his silver hair catching the glow of the stars above. Every now and then, his eyes would shift toward the group, ensuring everything was in order, his gaze lingering on the movement of the dancers or the hushed conversations that drifted on the night breeze.
➳ You, on the other hand, had immersed yourself in the warmth of the festival. The wine had loosened your usual reserve, and you found yourself swept up in the joy and music that filled the air. Elves sang ancient songs with haunting melodies, their voices intertwining with the rustling of the trees. You were surrounded by friends and revelers, each lost in their own reflections on the stars, but your eyes kept drifting back to Haldir. As the evening wore on, the effects of the wine began to take hold, and the world around you felt a little softer, a little more daring. You giggled to yourself as you swayed slightly to the rhythm of the music, your eyes catching Haldir’s stern yet watchful gaze. There was something about the quiet sentinel standing alone in the shadows that intrigued you—a quiet strength in his stoicism that you found strangely magnetic. And tonight, under the spell of the wine and the soft moonlight, you felt emboldened.
➳ A mischievous thought crossed your mind, and before you could second-guess yourself, you made your way toward him. The movement of the crowd seemed to part in front of you as you drew closer, your steps slightly unsteady but your heart racing with excitement. Haldir was caught off guard as you approached him, his eyes narrowing as he saw the mischievous gleam in yours. He straightened slightly, his instincts flaring, but he remained still, knowing that he could easily keep watch and remain alert. You, however, had other plans. Without warning, you reached up and kissed him. It was a sudden, daring act that caught him completely off guard, your lips pressing against his before he could react. His eyes widened in shock, and for a brief moment, time seemed to stand still. His breath caught in his throat, and the cool evening air seemed to freeze around him.
➳ His body stiffened, his hand automatically reaching out to steady you, though it lingered uncertainly, not sure how to respond. His mind raced, trying to make sense of the bold, unexpected gesture. He flushed slightly, his cheeks tinged with an unexpected warmth. This was not the Haldir who remained composed and in control, always vigilant. No, tonight, this was a Haldir who was thoroughly disarmed—caught between surprise, confusion, and something else he couldn’t quite name. You pulled away, grinning cheekily, your breath still light from the wine. The moment hung between you, and for a heartbeat, you both just stared at each other, the tension palpable. “What are you doing?” Haldir finally muttered, his voice low, though it had a slight edge to it—almost a mix of disbelief and something more soft, something vulnerable. His eyes flicked quickly to the surrounding elves, making sure no one else had witnessed the kiss. He muttered under his breath, as if trying to make sense of the situation, “You’ve made me vulnerable… in front of the stars.”
➳ Despite his words, his hand remained on your arm, and his fingers tightened slightly, as if he was making sure you were still standing, still alright. His usually stoic expression had faltered, replaced with a flush that was difficult for him to hide. He cleared his throat, trying to compose himself, but his gaze flickered back to you with an unspoken question—one that he couldn’t quite ask. “Did you think this was wise?” he added, his voice now tinged with something that wasn’t quite frustration, but more concern—an odd mixture of reprimand and care. The flush on his face deepened, though it wasn’t entirely from irritation. “I do not believe the wine has done you any favors.” You let out a breathy laugh, your tipsy grin widening as you took a small step back, admiring the way his usually controlled demeanor was starting to crack under the weight of the unexpected kiss. Haldir, ever the protector, straightened, but you could see a slight shake of his head, a frustrated yet amused chuckle escaping his lips. “You are a distraction I did not plan for,” he said, shaking his head as if trying to dismiss the moment, but there was a glint of something softer in his eyes. He wasn’t angry, not truly—just flustered, unsure how to react to something so outside of the norm for him. A small part of him was irked—by the suddenness, by the boldness—but a much larger part was… well, charmed, whether he liked it or not.
➳ Haldir turned his gaze away for a moment, his jaw tightening as he rubbed the back of his neck in an attempt to regain composure. He could already feel the weight of his brothers’ teasing in the back of his mind. Rumil and Orophin were bound to notice his discomfort, and the teasing would be relentless for weeks. He could already hear Rumil’s mischievous laughter, hear the way Orophin would press him for details with that knowing smirk. “Well, this will be something I will never live down,” he muttered under his breath, though it was more to himself than to you. But despite his frustration, he couldn’t quite stop the small smile that tugged at the corner of his lips. Though he would never admit it, a part of him enjoyed the way you had shaken him from his usual stoic reserve. You had thrown him off balance, and while he would undoubtedly scold you, the brief moment of shared connection—however unexpected—left something lingering in the air between you. “What will I do with you?” he finally sighed, his voice tinged with something warmer than before. It was a playful sigh, one that hinted at his growing fondness, despite the teasing that was undoubtedly coming his way.
➳ As if on cue, the sound of light footsteps reached your ears, and a familiar voice called out from behind you, tinged with amusement. “Well, well, look who’s making moves,” said Rumil, Haldir’s younger brother, his grin wide and clearly enjoying the spectacle. His eyes flickered between you and Haldir, mischief dancing in his gaze. “I didn’t think you had it in you.” Before Haldir could respond, Orophin, the elder of the two brothers, leaned in, his expression filled with amusement. “Haldir, you’re a bit more popular than I thought. Or should I say… ‘charmed’?” He raised an eyebrow playfully, clearly relishing in the moment. Haldir’s eyes narrowed, flicking between his two brothers before settling back on you. There was a quiet exasperation in his gaze, though beneath it, a warmth you hadn’t expected. He sighed, his voice low and resigned. “This will be talked about for weeks,” he muttered, knowing full well that his brothers wouldn’t let him live this down anytime soon. Rumil, practically bubbling with laughter, slapped a hand on Haldir’s back with exaggerated sympathy. “You should know by now, brother, that you’re always a target for mischief.” He couldn’t hold back his chuckles as he spoke, clearly enjoying his brother’s discomfort. Haldir shot him a look that was sharp but carried no real malice. “I don’t remember inviting you into this conversation, Rumil,” he replied, his tone pointed, though there was a flicker of something softer in his eyes, a playful spark that belied his apparent irritation. As the teasing continued, you could see Haldir’s stoic composure beginning to waver, though he tried to hold his ground. He looked back at you, the teasing and jabs from his brothers not seeming to bother him as much as he might have let on. There was something different in his expression now—a softness that, despite his embarrassment, felt more genuine than ever. His lips quirked upward into the faintest of smiles, and there was warmth in his eyes as he stepped closer to you.
➳ “You may have caught me off guard,” he murmured, his voice soft but filled with a quiet amusement, “but I’ll be the one getting the last laugh, I suppose.” His words were teasing, but there was something undeniably fond in the way he said them—an acknowledgment of the playful chaos you’d stirred in him. Even as his brothers laughed and nudged him, Haldir remained, his posture a little less rigid, a little more human. He wasn’t just the stoic protector anymore. For the first time that night, you saw him not as the unshakeable Marchwarden, but as a man caught off guard—embarrassed, yes, but still able to smile and enjoy the humor of the moment. His cheeks, though flushed red, betrayed no hint of real annoyance, and as his gaze lingered on you, the teasing from his brothers seemed to fade into the background. In that moment, despite the laughter of his brothers ringing in his ears, there was an undeniable tenderness in the way he looked at you. His soft smile, the light in his eyes—it was as though, for all the teasing, for all the jest, he was still deeply affected by what had just transpired.

The warm glow of lanterns strung high in the trees bathed Rivendell in soft, golden light, casting flickering shadows against the smooth bark of ancient trees. The Elder’s Lore Gathering was at its height, the melodic hum of elven voices blending seamlessly with the gentle strains of harps and flutes. The gathering was steeped in tradition, yet it exuded a warmth that felt almost timeless, as if the moments of joy and wisdom shared here tonight would echo through the ages. The elders, seated in graceful circles near the heart of the gathering, recounted tales of the Valar, the Eldar, and the shaping of Middle-earth itself. Their voices, smooth and resonant, seemed to weave themselves into the very air, filling the evening with the weight of ages. Despite the solemnity, mirth was not absent from the gathering. Younger elves sat further back, exchanging sly smiles and quiet laughter, their reverence for the event tempered by the effervescent joy of the occasion. Light, silvery laughter carried through the trees, mingling with the music and the rustle of the wind. Platters of fine food and goblets of Rivendell’s exquisite wine made their rounds, the sweet aroma of elderflower and honey mingling with the crisp freshness of the evening.
✧ Elrohir, however, had chosen to linger on the outskirts, leaning casually against the trunk of a towering mallorn tree. The goblet of wine in his hand caught the light, its deep crimson hue gleaming against his fair skin. His sharp silver-grey eyes roamed the gathering with an air of detached amusement, his smirk faint but ever-present. These moments of shared history and culture meant something to him, though he would never say as much aloud. His dry sense of humor, a shield against the weight of responsibility and grief he carried, often made him an observer rather than a participant at such events. Elladan had vanished into the throng hours ago, likely finding some excuse to avoid the gravity of the elders’ tales. Elrohir, however, remained, his presence unobtrusive yet steady, like a silent sentinel. His gaze shifted to you as you wove your way through the clusters of elves, your laughter rising above the hum of voices every now and then. The wine had clearly loosened your inhibitions; your steps were lighter, your movements a little more carefree than usual. You hadn’t failed to notice him watching you, his smirk deepening slightly each time your eyes met. Something about the way he leaned there, poised and self-assured, had drawn your attention again and again throughout the evening. He was magnetic without trying, and the wine in your veins only amplified the pull you felt toward him.
✧ The night deepened, the lanterns’ glow warmer and softer as the hours stretched on. Buoyed by the festive atmosphere—and the liquid courage coursing through you—you finally made your way toward him, your heart racing despite yourself. Elrohir noticed your approach immediately, his sharp gaze flicking to yours, a single brow arching in curiosity. As you neared, he straightened from his lean, his smirk widening ever so slightly as he regarded you. “You look as though you’ve been enjoying the wine a bit too much,” he remarked dryly, his voice low and smooth. The faint amusement in his tone was underscored by something gentler—an almost imperceptible warmth that only someone who knew him well could detect. His silver eyes glimmered as he tilted his head, waiting for your reply.
✧ But words didn’t come. Instead, driven by a boldness that teetered on recklessness, you stepped closer, closing the small gap between you. Before he could say another word, you leaned up and pressed your lips to his in a quick, daring kiss. The touch was fleeting—barely a breath of contact before you pulled back—but it was enough to leave you both stunned. Elrohir froze, the goblet in his hand forgotten as his eyes widened in surprise. For a moment, he simply stared at you, his sharp features softened by the sheer disbelief of what had just happened. Your face flushed deeply, the heat rising to your cheeks as the reality of your boldness hit you. For a heartbeat, the world seemed to still, the hum of the gathering fading into the background. Then, his expression shifted. The initial shock gave way to a soft, almost disbelieving laugh, the sound low and warm. He reached up, brushing a strand of hair from your face with gentle fingers, his touch lingering. “I did not expect that,” he murmured, his voice softer than before. There was no reproach in his tone, only a quiet amusement mixed with something deeper—something tender and unguarded.
✧ “You’re more than a little tipsy,” he added, his lips twitching into a lopsided smile as he wrapped an arm around your waist, steadying you with an ease that spoke of how natural it felt for him to do so. His warmth enveloped you, his presence grounding despite the flurry of emotions swirling in your chest. “A surprise attack, is it?” His words were teasing, but the look in his eyes betrayed the depth of his affection. There was no trace of mockery in his tone—only a playful fondness that seemed to draw you in further. Despite his humor, Elrohir’s gaze lingered on you, searching your face as though trying to commit this moment to memory. His usual guarded demeanor had melted away, leaving him open and uncharacteristically vulnerable. He tilted his head slightly, studying you with an intensity that made your heart skip a beat. Then, with a quiet chuckle, he pulled you closer, his arm tightening around you protectively. “Next time,” he murmured, his lips brushing the top of your head, “give me a little warning. I’d like to be prepared for such bold moves.” His voice was soft, almost intimate, the teasing edge giving way to a warmth that left no room for doubt about how deeply he cared for you. As he held you close, shielding you from the curious gazes of those nearby, it was clear that he wasn’t letting you slip away—not tonight, not ever.
✧ But then your hands began to wander. Emboldened by your lack of restraint, your fingers slid along the edge of his tunic, skimming the fabric with an almost mischievous intent. Elrohir stiffened slightly as your hand brushed against the bare skin beneath, his sharp intake of breath barely audible over the hum of the gathering around you. “Careful,” he warned softly, his voice lower now, though there was a thread of amusement woven into it. He caught your wrist with gentle but firm fingers, stilling your movement. “You’re far braver than I gave you credit for tonight.” Despite his words, the faintest flush crept into his cheeks, a rare crack in his usually unshakable composure. He tilted his head, studying you with a mix of exasperation and undeniable fondness. “If you’re trying to test my patience, you’re doing a fine job of it,” he muttered, though his smirk betrayed his amusement. He released your wrist, instead pulling you closer against him to keep your wandering hands in check. “You’re far too drunk for this kind of mischief,” he added, his tone softening as his free hand rested lightly on the small of your back. Despite his attempts at restraint, there was a flicker of warmth in his eyes—a vulnerability that rarely surfaced. He leaned down slightly, his voice dropping to a near whisper. “If you want to scandalize the entire gathering, you’re certainly on the right path,” he teased, his lips brushing the crown of your head. “But I think you’ll regret it come morning.” His arm tightened around you protectively, his dry humor giving way to a quiet tenderness. “Let’s get you back to the table,” he murmured, guiding you gently but firmly away from the crowd’s curious gazes. Though his words were measured, his actions spoke volumes—his hold on you steady, his presence warm and unyielding. Elrohir’s usual guarded demeanor had softened, replaced by a rare openness that hinted at just how deeply he cared for you, even amidst your wine-fueled antics.

⭒ The air in Rivendell was crisp with the touch of autumn, the golden hues of the trees glowing faintly under the soft light of lanterns strung throughout the festival grounds. The fragrance of fallen leaves mingled with the scent of warm spiced wine, and the gentle hum of laughter and music blended with the rustling of trees in the cool evening breeze. It was the Rite of the Autumn Dawn, a cherished elven tradition that marked the changing of the seasons—a time of reflection, renewal, and celebration. The festival was alive with joy. Elves danced beneath the shimmering lights, their silvery voices carrying songs older than the mountains, while others shared tales of years long past or toasted to the beauty of the fleeting autumn. The evening had stretched late, and the wine flowed freely, loosening the perfect poise of even the most graceful Elves. There was a warmth to the night—a sense of community, of fleeting mortality even among the immortal.
⭒ Elladan stood beneath one of the great trees lining the festival grounds, the leaves above him a cascade of gold and crimson, catching the glow of the lanterns as though alight with fire. He was the picture of ease, his tall frame relaxed, a half-full goblet of wine in his hand, and an irrepressible grin on his face. He thrived in these moments of lighthearted revelry, and it showed in every bit of his posture and energy. Throughout the night, he had been the center of more than one challenge—racing against other Elves, initiating ridiculous bets, and, most famously, engaging in a loud, dramatic exchange with Elrohir that had sent his brother storming off to the quieter edges of the gathering. Now, Elladan was content to watch the revelry around him, his sharp eyes scanning the crowd for more trouble to stir—or perhaps for someone who looked like they needed his particular brand of mischief. When you approached, the slightest hint of a stumble in your step, Elladan noticed immediately. His keen eyes caught the flush in your cheeks, the loose way you carried yourself, and the sparkle of uninhibited delight in your gaze. A grin broke across his face as he straightened slightly, tipping his head toward you with a mockingly scandalized air.
⭒ “Ah, there you are!” he called warmly, his voice effortlessly cutting through the din of the festival. “I was beginning to think you’d disappeared to drink all the wine yourself, leaving the rest of us to thirst.” Your response was playful, but the wine had slurred your words enough that Elladan had to step closer, his grin broadening with every faltering syllable. His long, dark hair, faintly catching the lantern light, brushed against your shoulder as he leaned in to catch your words, his presence a commanding mix of playful confidence and mischievous charm. Elladan laughed, the sound rich and warm. “I see you’ve embraced the spirit of the festival,” he teased, his eyes glittering as he studied you. “Though, I fear you might be no match for me if you can’t even stand properly. Should I fetch a chair for you? Or perhaps I should carry you to save you from yourself?” He set his goblet down on the grass beside him, entirely focused now on teasing you mercilessly.
⭒ It was in that moment, as he tilted his head back to laugh at his own joke, his guard completely lowered, that you struck. The wine emboldened you, and the playful energy of the festival seemed to whisper encouragement. Without hesitation, you grabbed the front of his tunic, tugging him toward you. The look of startled confusion that flashed across Elladan’s face was priceless—but it lasted only for the briefest of moments before your lips met his in a daring, wine-sweetened kiss. Time seemed to pause. Elladan froze, his body going perfectly still as if he’d been struck by lightning. His eyes widened, shimmering with disbelief, and you could feel the moment he registered what had just happened. When you finally pulled back, the stunned silence only lasted a beat before Elladan’s theatrical instincts took over. “By the Valar!” he exclaimed, his voice ringing out loud enough to draw a few curious glances from nearby revelers. His hand flew to his chest in a gesture of exaggerated indignation, his expression one of mock horror. “Such impetuosity! Such audacity! What would Erestor say if he saw this scandalous display?” He gasped, his sharp eyes glancing around as if searching the crowd for Rivendell’s sternest advisor, his performance growing more ridiculous by the second.
⭒ The sight of him, so over-the-top and utterly unbothered, sent you into a fit of uncontrollable laughter. Elladan caught your mirth like it was contagious, his lips twitching into a wide, boyish grin as he stepped closer, lowering his voice to a conspiratorial murmur. “I shall never hear the end of this, will I?” he said, his tone dripping with mock despair, though the glint in his eyes betrayed his delight. For a moment, it seemed as though he was going to lean in and kiss you in return, his grin softening just slightly, his eyes flicking briefly to your lips. Your heart raced, and you braced yourself for the touch of his lips again. But then—true to Elladan’s irrepressible nature—he pivoted at the last second, a devilish gleam lighting his face as he stepped away. “Catch me if you can!” he called, already turning and darting into the crowd. His laughter rang out like a bell, bright and carefree, as he disappeared into the sea of lanterns and dancing figures. He turned back once, his dark hair streaming behind him and his grin dazzling as he added, “Let us see if you can top that, my bold friend!” For a moment, you stood frozen, caught between laughter and disbelief at his antics. But Elladan didn’t wait—he was already weaving through the festival with the grace of a stag, glancing back every so often to make sure you were following. The challenge had been issued, and there was no doubt he expected you to give chase, his competitive spirit as infectious as his laughter.
⭒ You barely had time to process his sudden departure before you were stumbling after him, laughter bubbling up even as your legs wobbled from the wine. Elladan’s sharp eyes didn’t miss a thing, and he glanced back every so often, a teasing grin lighting his face as he saw you struggling to keep up. Once, you nearly tripped over a root, your hands flailing wildly as you caught yourself against the edge of a wooden table laden with empty goblets. Elladan’s laughter rang out again, and he slowed just enough to call over his shoulder, “Careful! I don’t think the trees will forgive you if you knock over their wine!” You huffed, brushing yourself off, but couldn’t suppress the wide smile that stretched across your face. Each time you stumbled or bumped into someone—eliciting good-natured chuckles from the nearby Elves—Elladan only laughed harder, his steps slowing just enough to keep you within sight. “You’re doing wonderfully!” he teased, his voice light and playful as he darted around a lantern-lit tree. “Though I might suggest a bit more grace! You’re supposed to be chasing me, not crashing into everything in your path!” Despite your clumsiness, you couldn’t help but laugh along with him, the thrill of the chase and the warmth of his laughter making your heart soar. Every time he turned to glance at you, his grin was so full of mischief and delight that it felt impossible not to be swept up in his energy. The crowd seemed to part for him like water, while you stumbled and wove your way through, your cheeks aching from smiling so much. And yet, despite the wine, despite the obstacles, you felt alive—fully immersed in Elladan’s playful chaos, chasing the brightest star in Rivendell’s autumn night.

Hii^^
Your Námo fic was such a fun read, but Mina… you turn every person I don’t like into ones that I would die for✨ You can’t make me simp for everyone… it’s not fair 🫣
Also, I have a question~ Which Elf would own cats, dogs or other exotic animals (parrots, snakes etc.)?
A/N: ✨️That’s a special ability of mine✨️ I have superpowers, and I’m glad that you enjoyed it ☺️. As for which elves would have interesting pets apart. Also, I’m not good at knowing the names of different domestic cats, so excuse my lack of knowledge 🫣
Cats...
— Maedhros (the very fluffy ones), Caranthir (probably a panther), Curufin, Finrod, Egalmoth, Rog (I know it might be odd, but just pick this giant being cuddly and soft with a kitty), Erestor, Beleg (a panther), Gwindor (a black cat bc he needs good laughter from their antics)
Dogs...
— Celegorm (I can see him having lots of others, but being a dog person sticks out the most bc of Huan), Amrod, Amras, Argon, Beleg, Elladan
Birds…
— Feanor, Maglor (parrot), Fingolfin, Fingon (eagles esp after saving Mae), Finarfin (goldfish; to obv lol), Ecthelion (swans), Egalmoth (peacock)
Horses...
— Celegorm (ofc), Caranthir, Amrod, Amras, Fingolfin, Fingon, Argon, Angrod, Aegnor, Glorfindel, Beleg, Elrohir, Elladan, Gil Galad, Elrond
Fishes...
— Celebrimbor (a nice pond filled with a variety), Turgon, Finarfin, Finrod, Galdor, Elrond
Others...
— Celegorm (a wolf bc why not), Galdor (rabbits/bunnies/turtles), Maeglin (ferrets/weasels/mole), Thingol (deers/elks/reindeer), Beleg (a capybara and wolf as well; the entire forest of animals probably lol)

MGiME but OC has transmigrated/isekai'd into a heartbroken Gilraen after Arathorn's death.
OC to herself probably: No, you cannot moon over your own child! That's so gross. Legolas though... Yeah no, he's your kid's bff, get yourself together woman!
But what can OC do? She's 23 feeling 17, a widow of a man she doesn't know, and the mother of a 2-yr old Aragorn! If she cannot be a 10th walker, then she's gonna make full use of her high status and meet all her favourite characters!
So when Elrond welcomes the mother and child into Rivendell for protection, he expects a woman barely functioning through her grief: so deep was the love between Arathorn and Gilraen.
But what Elrond gets instead is a woman who flirts with him!!?? And Glorfindel?! And Erestor too??!!
(Though curiously, when Elrohir tries to trifle with her, emboldened by her rather over-friendliness with every elf of importance in the vicinity, he is treated to her motherly fussing instead, much to Elladan's amusement.)
When the company of Thorin Oakenshield passes through, you can bet your ponies that OC!Gilraen is hanging out with the dwarves instead of hiding away, fawning over His majestic Mr. Majesty, Thorin, and trying to join his quest.
(She doesn't. Little Estel puts a stop to that madness by pouting and wobbling his lips until tears glisten in his silver-grey eyes and OC!Gilraen has always been a simp for Aragorn, be he 10 or 88. She still slips a love note to Thorin before he leaves, warning him about his impending doom, which promptly gets lost in the goblin caves, washed out as it was in the rains, changing nothing.)
Just... Aragorn growing up with a mother who is full of life and love for him. A mother who would look at him and see her favourite person in all of Arda, instead of a ghost of someone she held dearer than life.
(And when he is named Elessar and crowned king, OC!Gilraen is there, 102 but looking barely a decade older than him — more a sister in the people's eyes than his mother. And OC may be a centenarian, but holy hell, that silver fox over there, is that the Prince of Dol Amroth!!??)
#OC would be 120 and have the same reaction for Thranduil#modern girl in middle earth#gilraen#aragorn#lord of the rings#this needs to be written someday#slightly anti gilraen i feel... but honestly kudos to that woman for raising my longest character fixation ever#JustBizarre

Elladan Version below.
⚔️𝓔𝓵𝓵𝓪𝓭𝓪𝓷
✧ The Start of Courting Elladan’s approach to courting is all about playfulness, spontaneity, and affection. He’s not one to hide his feelings—his interest in you would be clear from the start, but it would come wrapped in layers of lighthearted teasing and charm. His natural charisma would draw you in, and you’d find him seeking out moments to be near you—whether it’s through a spontaneous horse race, playful challenges, or shared adventures in the forests of Middle-earth. His mischievous grin and constant teasing would be his way of showing affection, while also ensuring that you’re always close by. He would keep things fun and exciting, never too serious, but always meaningful. Maybe he’d challenge you to a race through Rivendell, just to steal moments together, or offer to teach you how to hunt, ensuring that his presence is a natural part of your every day. His love would be direct but never forceful, and he would enjoy seeing you engaged in his little antics, knowing it’s his way of slowly drawing you closer.
✧ Elladan’s love would be expressed through playful acts of service—nothing too subtle or quiet, but always genuine and full of energy. He might help you with practical tasks like caring for your horse or gathering supplies, but he’d do it with an exuberance that ensures you can’t help but smile. He’d often make these moments lighthearted, perhaps teasing you about your lack of skills with a bow or joking about how fast he can run compared to you, all while making sure you’re taken care of. If you were in need of comfort, Elladan’s approach would be to distract you from the hurt with his infectious humor and constant affection. Whether he’s tickling you in an attempt to cheer you up or showering you with quick, teasing kisses, his priority would always be making sure you know how much you’re cared for. He’d never let a moment go by without showing you just how deeply he feels for you.
✧ Quiet Moments and Intense Affection Though Elladan thrives on fun and excitement, there would also be moments when his deeper, more serious side would come through. When you’re upset or in danger, he’d know exactly how to switch gears, shifting from playful to protective and reassuring. He wouldn’t retreat into silence but would instead focus on comforting you with his presence. Maybe he’d pull you close and softly speak words of reassurance, reminding you that he’s there to protect you, no matter what happens. These intimate, quieter moments would be where his love shines brightest—not through grand gestures or flamboyant acts, but through his unwavering presence and care. When you’re together, whether in a crowd or alone, you’d feel his affection radiating from his every glance, touch, and word. He’d be just as likely to kiss you in front of everyone as he would to whisper something sweet in your ear when it’s just the two of you, making sure that you always know how deeply you mean to him.
✧ Elladan would be fiercely protective of you, though not in a quiet, reserved way. If someone flirted with you or put you in danger, he wouldn’t stay silent or distant. Instead, he’d step in immediately, firmly asserting his presence and ensuring that you’re safe. His protectiveness would come with a sense of confidence—he knows what he’s capable of and would stop at nothing to make sure you’re secure. However, this protectiveness would always come with a layer of affection. His care for you isn’t just a duty; it’s deeply personal, rooted in his love and emotional attachment. He’d do whatever it took to ensure you felt safe and valued, without ever being possessive or overbearing. His love would never feel suffocating; rather, it would be a constant, steady presence in your life.
✧ Braiding Hair Together One of the most intimate and tender acts Elladan could offer would be braiding your hair. For him, this would be more than just a practical task—it would be a quiet moment to show you how deeply he cares. Unlike the playful and energetic ways he often expresses his affection, braiding your hair would be a gentle, thoughtful act. He would ask to braid it in his own subtle way, perhaps with a teasing remark, but you’d sense the deeper meaning behind it. His fingers would move carefully through your hair, each touch tender and intentional. Elladan would show his affection through these quiet, personal moments—moments where his usual exuberance softens, and you get a glimpse into the true depth of his feelings. As he braids, there would be no rush, just the two of you together, surrounded by the peacefulness of Rivendell. His usual mischievous grin would soften into a genuine smile as he carefully twists the strands of hair into a braid, the act itself a gesture of trust and care. If you ever returned the gesture, braiding his hair, Elladan would react with a mix of surprise and contentment. He may act slightly shy at first, not used to being on the receiving end of such tender care, but soon he’d relax into the touch, appreciating the quiet intimacy between you. His playful nature would still shine through, even in these moments, and he’d likely laugh, commenting on how you’ve made him look even more handsome than usual. But beneath the humor, you’d know that he treasures these moments of tenderness with you above all else.
Fluffy/Sweet elladan Moments
✧ Spontaneous Adventures: Elladan would take you on impromptu adventures, perhaps suggesting a quick ride through the forests of Rivendell or a playful challenge to see who can catch the most game during a hunt. His enthusiasm for life would draw you into his world of spontaneous fun, where every moment spent with him feels like an exciting new chapter in an ongoing adventure.
✧ Small Acts of Affection: After a long day, Elladan might surprise you with something sweet, like a bouquet of wildflowers he’s gathered during his travels or a small treat he’s carefully picked out just for you. His affection would be shown through these little, thoughtful gestures that let you know he’s always thinking of you, even in the busiest of times.
✧ A Warm, Protective Hand Around Your Waist: When walking side by side, Elladan would casually place his arm around your waist or drape it over your shoulders, pulling you closer in a protective and affectionate manner. This simple, loving gesture would show that he’s always there to keep you close, physically and emotionally, even during the most ordinary moments.
✧ Frequent, Playful Smiles: Elladan’s smile would come easily and often when he’s around you. Whether it’s because of something funny you said or a playful teasing exchange, his grin would be wide and infectious. His laughter and bright smile would be a constant presence, a reflection of the joy he feels in your company.
✧ Tender Conversations Under the Stars: After a long day of activity, Elladan would invite you to sit by a fire or beneath the stars. The two of you would share quiet, intimate conversations, where his usual playful demeanor softens into something more vulnerable. You’d find him listening attentively, offering heartfelt words of comfort and understanding, showing you just how deeply he cares.
✧ Quiet Support: If you ever feel troubled or anxious, Elladan’s presence would be enough to ease your worries. He might not always have the perfect words, but his warmth and steady presence would provide the reassurance you need. His gentle hand on your shoulder or a soft word of encouragement would be all you need to know that he’s there for you, no matter what.
✧ Unexpected Love Notes: Although Elladan is often full of energy and humor, there are times when his affection would come in the form of a sweet, handwritten note. Maybe he’d tuck a note into your bag or slip it into a book you’re reading, telling you how much he cares or making a playful comment that reminds you of a shared memory. These notes would be a precious reminder of his deep affection, even when he’s not around.
✧ The Rare ‘Meleth Nín’: The moment Elladan whispers the words “Meleth” (my love) to you, it would be a truly special one. He doesn’t often speak so seriously, but when he does, it’s always sincere and meaningful. His voice, usually full of playful energy, would soften as he confesses his love to you, making that moment feel like a treasured secret between the two of you.
✧ Laughter Together: Elladan’s laughter would be one of the most delightful sounds to hear, especially when it’s shared with you. Whether he’s laughing at something you said, teasing you playfully, or recalling a funny story from his past, his laughter would be full of warmth and joy. Those shared moments of genuine amusement would be filled with lightness and connection, making you feel like you belong in his world.
✧ Shared Meals: When Elladan shares a meal with you, it’s more than just about food. It’s a moment to relax and enjoy each other’s company. He would tease you about eating too much, offer you the best portion of something, or just casually check in to make sure you’re well-fed. His focus would be on making the meal an experience to share, with his attention entirely on you and the moment.
✧ Long, Meaningful Stares: Elladan has the ability to look at you in a way that makes your heart skip a beat. Whether in silence or during conversation, his gaze would lock with yours, filled with affection and admiration. Those moments of eye contact would speak volumes about how he feels, showing his deep emotional connection to you. He doesn’t need words—his eyes would say everything.
✧ A Sweet Kiss on the Cheek: In moments of tenderness, Elladan might lean in and place a soft kiss on your cheek, just a quick, sweet gesture of affection. It would be something gentle and unassuming, but you’d feel the sincerity behind it. The kiss would remind you that you are cherished, and no matter what else is going on in the world, you are always loved by him.
✧ Holding Hands in Public: Elladan would be the type to take your hand in public, unashamed of showing his affection for you, even in front of others. Whether walking through the halls of Rivendell or exploring the woods, his fingers would gently interlace with yours. His touch would be warm, grounding, and comforting, making you feel like you’re his most important person in the world, no matter where you are.
Extra bonus - him braiding your hair
✧ It was a warm, quiet evening in Rivendell, the last light of the day casting a soft golden glow over the valley. The sounds of the bustling city had quieted, and the tranquil melodies of the river below filled the air. You were sitting by a stone bench in the garden, your fingers absentmindedly twining through the ends of your hair, letting the cool evening breeze play through the strands. The day had been long, but the evening promised a moment of peace. Elladan, ever the playful and energetic soul, had noticed you sitting alone. His sharp eyes caught the sight of you, and with a mischievous grin, he approached. His usual exuberance was tempered by a rare softness today, an unspoken quietness in his steps as he drew closer. “Do you mind if I join you?” he asked, his voice light but with a touch of sincerity that you recognized, a reflection of how comfortable he felt in your presence.
✧ You smiled up at him, giving a small nod. “Of course, Elladan. It’s peaceful here.” He sat beside you, the subtle scent of pine and fresh air clinging to him, the warmth of the day still lingering in his skin. For a moment, there was only the sound of birds settling into the trees and the soft rustle of leaves. Without warning, Elladan leaned forward and gently brushed his fingers through your hair. His touch was warm, almost electric, sending a small shiver through you. “Your hair… it’s always so beautiful,” he said, his voice thoughtful, almost as if lost in the act of simply being close to you. You glanced at him, feeling your cheeks flush slightly under his gaze. His fingers were delicate but sure, parting your hair as if admiring the texture, and then, to your surprise, he spoke again, more quietly this time. “Would you let me braid it?” he asked, his voice carrying a certain softness, a request rather than a command. “It would be an honor, if you’d allow me.”
✧ There was something vulnerable in his request—something tender that you didn’t often see in the usually spirited and adventurous Elladan. It was a moment of connection, of shared intimacy, and you nodded, touched by the sincerity behind his words. As you moved to sit more comfortably, Elladan’s fingers worked with gentle precision, gathering your hair into sections. His touch was careful, patient, as he began to weave your hair into a braid. You could feel the closeness between you both, the warmth of his body near yours, his breath faintly brushing the back of your neck as he worked. Every motion was deliberate, the strands of your hair slipping through his fingers with ease. His lips were occasionally curled into a soft smile as he concentrated, his eyes flicking between his task and your face. The quiet moments stretched, and with each second, you found yourself more and more relaxed, comforted by the stillness between you.
✧ You didn’t mind the silence. It was filled with the sound of his steady breath, the faint rustle of the braids as they took shape, and the rhythm of his fingers as they braided your hair in a pattern that felt both familiar and new. There was an unspoken closeness in it—a quiet, affectionate bond that neither of you needed to voice aloud. When the braid was finished, he tied it off with a ribbon he had pulled from his pocket. “There,” he said softly, his fingers brushing over your hair one last time as though to check his work. “Perfect.” You turned to face him, your heart fluttering at the sight of him so close, his blue eyes shining with a tender affection that softened his usually playful features. Without thinking, you reached for the ribbon in his hair—a loose tie that was starting to slip free—and gently began to undo it. Elladan’s eyes widened in surprise, but the playful glint was back in his gaze, even if there was something deeper beneath it. “Ah, so now you intend to braid my hair as well?” he teased, though there was no real protest in his voice.
✧ You smiled up at him, your hands moving through his dark, wild hair, gently brushing and untangling the knots. The playful banter continued between you, each of you teasing the other in that easy, affectionate rhythm that had come to define your relationship. As your hands wove through his hair, Elladan let out a soft laugh. “This is… rather unexpected,” he said, sounding both amused and deeply touched. “But I can’t say I mind.” He tilted his head back slightly, letting you work, his eyes softening as he met your gaze. When his hair was braided—an intricate, delicate plait that suited his wild, untamed spirit—you both leaned back against the stone bench. You sat close, your bodies warm from the shared moments, and the evening sun dipped lower, casting a gentle glow over the two of you. Elladan, his hair now braided just as yours, turned slightly to face you, his arms reaching out to pull you closer. His hand found yours, and without another word, he nestled his face into your hair, pressing a soft kiss to your temple. The gesture was simple but meaningful—a quiet expression of affection that spoke volumes.
✧ “You’re incredible,” he murmured, his voice low but full of admiration. You leaned into him, resting your head against his shoulder, and together, you sat there in comfortable silence, wrapped in the quiet intimacy of the moment. His arm slid around you, pulling you closer as you both simply held each other. The world outside faded, leaving just the two of you, basking in the warmth of the shared moment, your hearts as intertwined as the braids in your hair. And as the night settled in, you both stayed there, content in the simple yet profound bond you had created through these small, shared moments. There was no need for grand declarations—your hearts already spoke clearly in the quiet intimacy of being together.

Elladan Version below. (reader/you are his lover). Featuring what I wrote below is: Building a Snowman (With a Twist), Snowball Fight, Sledging Adventure, Snow Angel.
⚔️𝓔𝓵𝓵𝓪𝓭𝓪𝓷
Building a Snowman(With a Twist):
⭒ The cold air of Rivendell was crisp and invigorating as the first blanket of snow settled over the valley. The trees were dusted with white, and the faint outline of mountains stood tall in the distance, their peaks veiled in mist and snow. A perfect winter day, the kind that begged for laughter, mischief, and snowball fights. You and Elladan had found your way to a quiet clearing, the scene peaceful save for the occasional sound of crunching snow underfoot as you worked together to build a snowman. The two of you were practically shoulder to shoulder, your hands cold but nimble as you rolled snow into giant balls, carefully stacking them atop one another. Elladan’s long, graceful fingers moved with ease, shaping the snow with practiced elegance, but it was clear that his focus wasn’t purely on perfection—there was mischief gleaming in his eyes. “Ah, perfect!” he declared, stepping back to admire the snowman’s form, his breath visible in the chilled air. His usual grin, full of mischievous charm, was wide as he adjusted the snowman’s scarf, the ends playfully flaring in the breeze. “Now that’s a snowman I can get behind. But, you know,” he continued, his tone taking on a teasing edge, “I think I can make it even better.”
⭒ He stepped around the back of the snowman, his movements smooth and swift as he began gathering more snow, packing it with an almost too much enthusiasm. His back was turned to you, but you could hear his soft chuckles under his breath as he worked with a growing sense of purpose. “What are you up to back there?” you called, your voice filled with curiosity but with an amused undertone, aware that Elladan’s plans often came with a twist. “Just you wait,” Elladan called over his shoulder, his voice playful. “I’m making a masterpiece. You’ll see.” His eyes glinted as he packed the last bit of snow, stepping back to survey his creation. When he turned back to face you, his grin had grown impossibly wider, and you could feel a laugh bubbling in your chest as you looked at the new addition to the snowman’s figure. A perfectly shaped, round “booty” now adorned the snowman’s backside, the soft snow curved just so, creating the illusion of a cheeky, almost playful rear.
⭒ “Ah, perfect!” Elladan said, hands on his hips as he admired his work. “This is art, if I do say so myself.” He gave the snowman’s ‘booty’ a light tap, making a soft crunching sound as if patting it with approval. “What do you think, darling? A little extra snow for flair—really gives it… character.” You stifled a laugh, shaking your head at the audacity of his creation. “Elladan, you didn’t—” “Of course, I did!” He stepped back, his gaze flicking between you and the snowman as if presenting a finished masterpiece to the world. “Wouldn’t you say it’s quite… caked?” He winked playfully, leaning in to give you a gentle nudge with his elbow, his tone full of mischief. You could hardly contain your laughter at the absurdity of it all, and as you tried to catch your breath, Elladan suddenly grew even bolder. Without warning, his robe fluttered around his waist as he lifted it up, exposing his own backside with a cheeky grin.
⭒ “Does it match?” he teased, his voice laced with a challenging playfulness, giving you a sly wink. His actions were so absurd, so full of mischievous charm, that for a moment, you could hardly believe what you were seeing. The sight of him standing there, robe lifted in defiance of the chilly winter air, was enough to send a wave of laughter through you. He held the pose for just a moment longer, his eyes sparkling with amusement as he glanced back over his shoulder at you. His playful smirk never wavered. “Well? Does it have the same effect?” It was impossible to stay serious for long in his presence, and your laughter erupted once again.
⭒ As Elladan lowered his robe with a satisfied flourish, you couldn't help but laugh, the warmth of your affection for him only growing. His playful antics always seemed to get under your skin in the best way possible, and you couldn't resist joining in the fun. Without warning, you reached out and, in a swift movement, slapped his backside-much as he had done to the snowman. Elladan yelped in mock surprise, spinning around to face you with a raised brow, his eyes flashing with mischievous delight. "Ah!" he exclaimed, feigning indignation. "Is this how you repay me for my art?" His lips quirked into a smirk, and before you could react, he was pulling you close, his arms winding around your waist. "I suppose I deserved that," he murmured, his voice low and teasing. You smiled, leaning into him, feeling the rush of warmth between you despite the cold air. "A little artistic flair deserves to be appreciated," you teased back, your fingers brushing over the soft fabric of his robe. "But you're not getting off that easily, Elladan." And with that, you both shared a quiet, playful moment, the laughter of your shared antics blending with the gentle winter winds of Rivendell.

Snowball Fight:
⭒ The world around you was a quiet, winter wonderland, the snowflakes falling gently from the sky and covering the earth in a pristine blanket of white. The trees, draped in layers of snow, seemed to stand watch over the quiet scene, their limbs heavy with frost. Rivendell had been peaceful all day, but the quiet was soon interrupted by the sound of playful laughter that rang through the air. You stood facing Elladan, your hands already clutching tightly onto freshly packed snowballs, ready for what promised to be an epic battle. The glint of mischief in his eyes was unmistakable, a look you knew all too well, and it was clear that this was going to be no ordinary snowball fight.
⭒ Elladan grinned mischievously, his posture relaxed but his focus sharp. His dark hair, tousled by the breeze, framed his face in the most disarming way. The snow caught the light in his hair, making him seem like he had just walked out of a winter’s dream, his lips curling into that familiar smirk that always made your heart race. “You ready for this?” he called out, his voice filled with playful challenge. He raised his snowball with ease, his fingers expertly shaping it into the perfect sphere. “I don’t plan on going easy on you, love.” Before you could even properly respond, Elladan was already launching his snowball at you with expert precision. It soared through the air, narrowly missing you by inches as you ducked to the side, the powdery flurry of snow landing behind you. You shot him a quick grin, already pulling together your counterattack.
⭒ “Oh, it’s on now!” you declared, your competitive spirit fully awakened. With a quick flick of your wrist, you sent your own snowball hurtling toward him, watching as it collided with his shoulder, the soft snow splattering across his tunic. He didn’t flinch, only giving a hearty laugh in response. And just like that, the battle was in full swing. The snowballs flew faster now, each of you dodging, ducking, and hurling them at the other with increasing intensity. You both were so caught up in the excitement that time seemed to slow, the only sounds being the laughter in the cold air, the crunch of snow underfoot, and the occasional soft thud of snowballs meeting their target. But soon, the playfulness of the battle began to shift. The competitive edge that had driven the snowball fight quickly turned into something else entirely—a mischievous, playful wrestling match. Elladan’s grin never faltered as he sidestepped your next throw, quickly closing the gap between you. He lunged forward, grabbing you around the waist and sending you both tumbling into the snow, the cold sting of it a distant feeling compared to the warmth of your laughter.
⭒ Elladan’s face was inches from yours as he pinned you gently in the snow, his breath quick and warm against your skin. “Ha! You thought you could win?” he laughed, the playful glint in his eyes dancing like firelight. “Think again, darling!” Before you could react, Elladan scooped up a handful of snow and shoved it directly into your face, his grin widening as you spluttered in surprise. The snow was cold, but the laughter it sparked was even warmer. You quickly retaliated, gathering a handful of snow and shoving it right back at him, laughing as it landed in his hair, sending flecks of white cascading into his face. “You think you’re the only one who knows how to play dirty?” you teased, your voice breathless from both the laughter and the sudden rush of the moment.
⭒ Elladan’s grin only grew wider. “You’ve got some fight in you, love,” he said, his voice full of admiration and amusement. “But let’s see how you handle this!” With that, he piled more snow onto your face, covering it completely with a playful, dramatic flourish, as if he were claiming victory over the battle. But as he leaned back, his eyes sparkled with that same mischievous energy that had started this whole adventure. “I think we’re both covered in enough snow to make a snowman by now,” Elladan said, his voice teasing as he finally pulled away, standing up and brushing the snow off of his clothes. His grin was ear to ear, his expression full of triumph and joy.
⭒ You lay there for a moment, still laughing, covered head to toe in snow. “That’s it, is it?” you said, trying to catch your breath. “I think I’ll just need a few more rounds to make sure I win next time.” Elladan reached down a hand, offering to help you up, his smile still unshakable. “Oh, don’t worry, love,” he teased, pulling you to your feet. “You’ll have your chance. But for now, I think I’ve earned the title of Snowball Champion of Rivendell.” He winked at you, clearly enjoying his victory, but there was a softness in his gaze—one that matched the warmth of the moment, despite the chill of the snow around you.

Sledging Adventure:
⭒ The winter air in Rivendell was sharp and invigorating, the snow-covered landscape glistening under the pale light of the midday sun. The hills were perfect for sledging, and you and Elladan had taken full advantage of the opportunity, racing each other down the slopes with wild abandon. Elladan had always been competitive, but today, his energy was off the charts. His laughter echoed through the valley as he pushed off the top of the hill, his sled carving smoothly through the snow as he shot forward, a blur of dark hair and bright eyes in the frosty air. “Ha! I’m winning this one, no doubt!” he shouted, his voice full of excitement, the wind making it difficult to hear him clearly but impossible to miss the challenge in his tone.
⭒ You grinned, already feeling the thrill of the race, your heart racing in time with the speed you were picking up. You had been neck and neck for most of the run, but just as you started to pull ahead, you heard the familiar sound of Elladan’s sled behind you. A quick glance over your shoulder confirmed that he had picked up speed, his grin wide and full of mischief. “Not so fast, love!” you called, your breath visible in the cold air as you leaned into the sled, trying to push yourself even faster. But just as you reached the bottom of the hill, Elladan’s sled came roaring up behind you, faster than you’d anticipated. With no time to react, he crashed straight into the back of your sled. The sudden impact sent both sleds careening off course, and in an instant, you found yourself hurtling through the air before landing in a soft, snow-covered heap at the bottom of the hill. The cold snow exploded around you, and you blinked a few times, dazed but laughing uncontrollably. You could hear Elladan’s infectious laughter above you as he tumbled into the snow beside you, his arms flailing before he landed next to you with a loud “oof.”
⭒ “Well…” Elladan began, rolling over onto his back with a dramatic sigh, his voice tinged with mock innocence. “I didn’t mean to do that, but I do make a great landing pad, don’t I?” You couldn’t help but laugh, the sound of his voice mixed with the exhilaration of the crash and the joy of being caught up in his antics. As he brushed the snow from his hair, his mischievous grin only grew wider, his deep eyes sparkling with delight. Without warning, he scooped you up into his arms and pulled you close, wrapping you in a quick, tight hug. “Guess you won’t win this round, my love,” Elladan said, his voice playful and warm against your ear, “but I’m still happy to finish in style.”
⭒ You could feel his breath warm against your skin as he brushed a handful of snow from your face with a teasing glint in his eyes. His touch was gentle yet filled with that same playful energy he exuded in everything he did. The cold air and the snow didn’t seem to matter, not when you were wrapped in his arms, laughing and glowing with the thrill of the moment. “Maybe you’ll win the next one,” you teased, still breathless from the crash, “but only if you don’t crash into me again!” Elladan winked at you, his face a picture of amusement and contentment as he leaned in just slightly, his smile never wavering. “Oh, don’t worry, love,” he said with a mock-serious tone. “Next time, I’ll give you a head start. But I can’t promise I won’t still catch you at the last moment.” And just like that, the competitive spark ignited again in both of you, each eager for the next race, knowing it would be just as full of excitement, laughter, and the occasional unexpected tumble.

Snow Angel:
⭒ The soft, fluffy snow covered the ground in a serene white blanket, and the chill of winter had settled into Rivendell’s quiet, snow-covered landscape. The sky above was a muted shade of blue, with the occasional flurry of snowflakes drifting lazily down from the heavens. The world felt peaceful, almost magical, as you and Elladan lay side by side in the snow, letting your laughter ring out in the cold air. It had been a morning of pure mischief and joy—snowball fights, playful races, and now, this, the peaceful yet whimsical creation of snow angels. You glanced over at Elladan, his dark hair tousled by the wind and his face flushed from the cold. His deep laugh still echoed in your ears, a sound you would forever treasure. His eyes twinkled with an easy, relaxed joy as he observed your work, his head propped up on his hand, his expression tender. “You’ve made such a beautiful angel, my love,” he said, his voice soft, with a touch of admiration. He smiled at you, a smile that reached his eyes and made your heart flutter. “It almost seems like you belong in the heavens.”
⭒ You smirked at his compliment, feeling the warmth of his gaze but knowing exactly how to make the moment even more amusing. As Elladan laid back in the snow to make his own angel, you seized the opportunity to get a little more creative with your work. You had already been plotting a mischievous twist to this moment. The peace and calm of the morning felt like the perfect cover for a little harmless fun. Elladan was so carefree, so relaxed in his enjoyment of the moment, that he wouldn’t suspect a thing. While he hummed contentedly, enjoying the peace of the winter morning, you got to work. With careful precision, you used your finger to carve into the snow around his angel’s form, shaping what appeared to be horns at the top of its head. You twisted them upward with a deliberate flick of your wrist, then added a playful, wickedly curved tail that snaked its way from behind the angel’s legs. A satisfied grin spread across your face as you stepped back to admire your work. The once innocent, serene angel now looked more like a mischievous demon, a playful impish creature with devilish horns and a wicked tail.
⭒ You barely had time to stifle your laughter before Elladan noticed. He had been so caught up in his own creation, but as soon as he turned to look at yours, his sharp eyes widened, and his brow arched with playful suspicion. “What have you done, hmm?” he asked, his voice full of mock disbelief, though the twinkle of humor never left his eyes. He leaned up on his elbows, his gaze flicking back and forth between you and the snow angel you had so carefully altered. “This angel looks a little… different now.” He slowly sat up, brushing the snow from his tunic and his hair, his deep laugh now bubbling from his chest. His gaze fell upon the horns and tail, and his face lit up with a mixture of shock and amusement. “Is that… a tail? And horns?” He threw his head back, laughing heartily as he ran a hand through his snow-covered hair, the sound echoing in the stillness of the winter air.
⭒ You tried to keep a straight face, but it was impossible. Elladan’s laughter was contagious, and his amusement only made the whole situation more delightful. He finally looked back at you, his expression now one of mock disbelief. “You’ve turned my angel into a demon, my love.” He paused, still grinning. “But I can’t say I’m disappointed. Perhaps a little devilish side suits me just fine.” Elladan’s smirk was infectious as he slowly got up from the snow, brushing the remaining snow from his shoulders with a nonchalant flick of his wrist. He moved toward you with that same playful gleam in his eyes, his every step confident, like a prince of mischief. Without a second thought, he leaned down, pulling you toward him with a roguish grin. “I’m your snow demon now, love,” he whispered, his voice low and teasing, sending a shiver down your spine. “And I’ll do my best to keep you in the mischief you deserve.”
⭒ Before you could respond, he pulled you closer, his arms wrapped around you in an unexpected but entirely welcome snuggle. You gasped as he stuffed snow into your cloak hood, lifting it over your head with a triumphant smile. “You didn’t think you’d get away from me so easily, did you?” His voice was full of playful mischief as he rested his chin on the top of your head, the snow crinkling under his touch. You squirmed slightly in his grasp, trying to brush the snow out of your hood, but he simply tightened his hold, leaning in and pressing a soft kiss to the top of your head, the snow between you both providing an odd but comforting barrier. His playful smirk never faltered as he glanced down at the demonized angel. “I think this demon looks far more at home in the snow than that poor angel did,” he teased, and for a moment, you both lay there, nestled together in the snow, content in the warmth of each other’s presence and the fun of the moment. Despite the cold, the mischief in Elladan’s eyes and the warmth of his affection made the winter day feel infinitely more special.

Having Nightmares And Elladan Comforting You
Request: Hi! I love your writing so much and was so glad to see you've opened your requests. I was hoping I could please request a fluffy fic or headcanons with Elladan trying to comfort his partner who's having a repeat of the same nightmare each night? I'm such a simp for him and I'm so glad to see him on the list of characters you write for. Thank you :) - @snowsoothsayer
A/N: I was torn between writing this as a fic or a headcanon, so I merged both. All the other attempts at making it a fic turned out too angsty and I didn't want to give you that since you wished for fluff.
·⊰ As a heavy sleeper, it will take a lot to get Elladan to notice your frantic state beside him, whining and fighting around the bed as your dream becomes more graphic and terrifyingly vivid. While you were experiencing a nightmare beyond your wildest comprehension, he was still fast asleep.
·⊰ When morning rolls around and he turns to feel your presence beside him, he will be met with the imprint of your body and a blanket halfway torn off the bed. It was not an uncommon event for him to wake to an empty bed next to him given your job as a healer. You were required to be up and running early.
·⊰ Unbeknownst to Elladan, you were sitting outside on the balcony all night, baring the harshness of the cold to keep you awake. It was not the first time you had faced that nightmare and no matter how much you attempted to take herbal teas to reduce the hallucinations and vividness of the dreams, nothing worked.
·⊰ The entire day, you would appear as a walking zombie with severe dark circles under your eyes, yawning every few seconds and resisting the urge to find sleep. Due to your differences in duties, if he wasn’t up before you, then it was up and it was rare that your paths crossed. Hence, throughout the day, he could not discover your frightened state.
·⊰ When night falls, he would notice the panicked disposition you were currently in and question you on your distressed state. “Why do you look like someone gave you two black eyes? Did someone try to paint you as a raccoon? Is work getting difficult, do you want me to speak with my father?”
·⊰ All his questions melted your heart and made you laugh at his specific ability to fit a bit of humour into the mix. But not wanting to worry him with your nightmare because he had essential duties and couldn’t stay up all night, you would shake it off with a lie of being tired and not getting enough sleep. “Don’t worry, I’ll take a few days off to rest.”
·⊰ Finding your response reasonable, Elladan would not find anything suspicious about it until he does experience a hit to his body during the night. It takes a lot to wake him from his slumber, so it explains that your nightmare was awfully terrifying. Flying from his sleep, ready to strike at the intruder, he is met with your frightened body warding off whosoever.
·⊰ A few shakes and calls of your name would take you out of your nightmare and immediately into Elladan’s arms, trembling. The grip you held onto him was unlike any other and in that instant, he knew not getting enough sleep and being stressed was not the complete answer.
·⊰ Elladan would allow you to hold him as tightly as you wish without complaint for as long as you desired. He needed you to see he was your safe haven, and that the threat was gone. Expect his voice to become soft like petals as he caresses your skin and sends you sweet, reassuring words.
“It’s alright, it’s alright. I’m here now and nothing is going to harm you ever again. I’m here meleth, I am here.”
Elladan’s second act is to lie with you on his chest and rest your ear above his heartbeat, using it as a soothing method to relieve your frantic state. Your entire body was trembling with fear, and it pained him to witness you experiencing this. He’s aware that you’re in no state to speak about what you envisioned.
“There, there, meleth. Everything is alright now. Whatever or whoever it was, I’m here to save you from them,” he cooed into your hair while he littered dozens of soft-petal kisses.
Both arms wrapped around you, one rubbing your back and the other cradling your head to his chest. The faint scent of peppermint and oranges radiating off his body gave your mind an extra sense of security. Your arms tightened around his upper body, though he could bare the constriction of your arms, he was willing to take the pain if it meant removing yours.
“Elladan,” you sniffled, “if I needed saving, would you be there?”
Your question was enough to ring bells in his head about what your nightmare was based on, a fear of yours you once unfortunately experienced. It was how he met you. It wasn’t the first time he learned that you suffered nightmares and dreamt about your incident, but it was new for him to realise that as its one-year anniversary approached, it became stronger.
Nothing wasting a second to give you any sense of false hope, he courageously responded with pride and valour, “I would give my life for yours in a heartbeat.” The hands that rested against your skin constricted around your body and pressed you closer to his chest, removing any ounce of spacing. In response, he felt your body sagging against his as the tension easily dissipated. Part of him felt horrible that he couldn’t remove the accursed dream out of your mind and the other part wished that he had found you before the more horrid things happened.
“Oh, my little meleth. My sweet, sweet, little lovable meleth, don’t you know I’m your knight in shining armour? I’m your saviour! I’m the strongest elf there ever were!” he boasted and joked, though he was quickly put in his place by the last statement.
Giggling at his eccentric remarks, you were appalled when he made the statement of being the strongest. As much as you knew he was lifting your spirits out of the pit, it was enough to make you correct him. “You are far from the strongest Elladan,” you informed, “if it’s anyone, it’s Lord Glorfindel, the Balrog Slayer.”
“Who says I can’t fight a Balrog?” he shouted.
“Me, because you’ll probably get pulled by your hair like Lord Glorfindel did,” you giggled.
Offended by your statement, he jerked his head back dramatically and gasped, “Excuse me! I’m trying to be all heroic here and you’re not letting me. You’re dragging me!”
“Back down to earth to be humbled,” you snorted. Your mood was improving despite the lurking images of your nightmare in the background, Elladan’s sense was humour was enough to fight them off.
“You are the worse supporter ever.”
“And you are the best.”

The fact that I actually would do this but I've got no time at all to write a full fic about this so here's like a vague idea on how I wanted it to go.
I wanted to follow the plot of WandaVision but with my own sort of twist. Honestly, I wrote this when I should be revising for an exam tomorrow. But my simp a$$ just couldn't resist.
It starts with Tauriel in the Modern World (basically ages after the Third Age) so around our time now. She's looking at a public ad about some artefacts found in Europe that looked a little too elven.
Legolas and Gimli didn't sail as well as Thranduil and most of the Silvan/Sindarin people under him. But they only found Tauriel literally during World War One.
Tauriel works in British Intelligence but focuses on national based threats. A sort of desk job. She once was in the army but she got injured quite a while back and got ptsd.
Legolas meets with her (he says that there's something fishy going on somewhere).
Coincidentally, her boss tells her to go to the same place Legolas tells her because some British citizen went missing and the Swiss asked them to be discreet and have someone fly out.
Tauriel meets two guys just outside the town. One is an investigator whilst the other in a consultant with technology and energy.
And just like how WandaVision Episode 4 goes, she gets sucked in and finds herself in Rivendell.
Inside is Elrond, Lord of Rivendell. His wife, Celebrian, is preparing for the summer festival. His children, Elladan, Elrohir and Arwen are all together, helping out. Glorfindel, Erestor and Lindir are there as well.
During the chapter, Tauriel meets Celebrian. Tauriel's backstory is that she came with Legolas and the Elves of the Greenwood for the festival. Celebrian sees that Arwen and Tauriel get along quite well but wonders how Arwen knows Tauriel as Arwen has never been to the Greenwood. Arwen shakes her head and tells her that she has and that she might be simply forgetting.
When the festival happens it shows a lovely depiction of the family. Tauriel during the time sees an odd person constantly in the crowd looking at her but ignores it. Elrond approaches her and asks how she is finding Rivendell and says she loves it here, though it seems too unreal for her.
By the end of the evening, fake Legolas proposes to her and she declines, realising that this was wrong and that this couldn't be real. She runs away, with Elladan and Elrohir passing her but she continues until she meets with Elrond.
As for Celebrian, she shares a moment with Elrond before bumping into Lindir and Erestor, who are both in a heated conversation but stop when Celebrian is there. Celebrian is slowly becoming aware now.
Tauriel and Elrond meet and she breaks down and tells him what's just happened. She tells him that this shouldn't be real and that this must be a dream. However, Elrond is shocked that Tauriel knows and this shakes Tauriel awake, getting a hint that Elrond is aware that the people that are here are supposed to be gone. She is confused and wonders if this is really him but deep in her soul she could tell it's the real deal.
In Elrond's viewpoint, he apologises to her that he had given her enough chances to stay but she cannot stay anymore. He asks guards to take her away and leave her at the edge of the borders.
Celebrian comes in and wonders where Tauriel had gone. He tells her that the party from the Greenwood have left.
Tauriel is thrown out of Rivendell and is found by Mister Gillian aka Ereinion Gil-Galad, who should be dead and in Aman. Gil-Galad tells her that he was the one who tipped about the intel and had found her once during his return with Celebrimbor aka the dude who was forced to come back and sort out whatever shit someone did with his rings.
They return to where Celebrimbor and Ereinion have been staying and find Legolas, who had found them and realised they were elves. The two older Noldor elves tell them that they have been sent back by the Valar to sort out whatever's been stirring in Middle Earth, not realising how much has changed.
Tauriel reveals to them that Rivendell is inside the village and that Elrond's been keeping them hostage. Somehow his dead daughter and wife are alive and the others have no recollection about the world has changed.
They get into an argument on how to kind of tread through with it. Celebrimbor knows he has to destroy the ring that might be possessing Elrond to do all of this but Ereinion wants to do it without killing anyone or destroying the place.
Legolas on the other hand doesn't them to do anything or else it would risk danger for all elves hiding in Modern ME. Tauriel thinks it is something deeper and that Elrond's doing it for his grief.
Back to Celebrian and Elrond, Elrond knows that outside the valley: someone now knows and he now doubts his choice of kicking Tauriel out. He meets with some healers as Arwen wants to help with the Dunedain and their affairs. That is when things begin to develop and he is realising that fake Arwen is developing to love mortality again.
Celebrian is now starting to realise things aren't supposed to be. After the summer festival, she notices some of the staff and Dunedain merchants and people passing through are acting odd. She begins to wonder why her parents haven't met in a while and why none of them knows about Sauron and the war.
Back outside, the human who was with Ereinion has told the Swiss government about hostages in the town and now humans are involved. Ereinion, Celebrimbor, Tauriel and Legolas are now tied up and can't reveal anything. The human that had been with Ereinion tells them that now it's a national threat, but Tauriel lashes back and says that there are people inside and that it's not simple.
Legolas gets worried and calls his father, worried that they would become exposed.
That piece of son Hayward guy who is in charge of the operations tells them that if they can't get through then the best course is to bomb the place. All of them are terrified but they are forced to watch.
Elrond reveals himself for the first time in the real world, telling them that if they even dare to try to get in or destroy Rivendell he will do all he could to keep his family safe. He sees Ereinion and Celebrimbor and wonders why they are here but ignores it. He leaves back inside, knowing now that something is going on and wondering why they were alive.
Elrond refuses Arwen to leave Rivendell (secretly knowing she isn't real and that she would actually just dust away). Celebrian notices how stressed Elrond is and confronts him on why she wouldn't allow their daughter to simply be happy. They begin to argue with Celebrian beginning to press at Elrond why certain things are not as they seem. It is when Lindir arrives to inform that someone has come.
Elrond summons them into the study and dun dun dun! Elros fucking Tar-Minyatur arrives and greets him with a hug.
Elros's cameo in the valley really fucks Celebrian's brain and she is now concerned and confused, especially now when Elrond isn't sure as well how he made Elros come to life. It's a weird reunion, as Elros is nothing how he remembered.
Celebrian meets with Glorfindel, who subtlety tells her that they are hurting and that he had only stayed because of Elrond. He subtlety tells her to go beyond the borders. She follows through and passes.
Outside the temporary enclosed camp, Tauriel and Celebrimbor see Celebrian struggling and beginning to disintegrate. They fight through, revealing to themselves as elves to the humans. Legolas and Ereinion are arrested with them. The head of the humans ask what they are and if they were the same species as Elrond. They refuse to say anything but Celebrimbor is a little too proud and tells them that they will all die if they don't try to let them help.
Tauriel is still too stricken at everything going on. She is reminded by the offer Elrond had secretly given her, offering to make Kili alive if she would go inside and make the rest of them come in.
In Rivendell, Elrond realises that Celebrian is outside the border and decides to expand it - revealing to the readers that he is using not just Vilya but his own badass Maia Magic.
A dark and sinister voice inside Elrond's head tells him that now the only way to save his family is to do what he should have done thousands of years ago and have control of the rest. Elrond prepares his house to defend itself.
We now go back to Elrond's true backstory and how we came to this. After Arwen married Aragorn, it is a few years later that he chooses to sail for Valinor.
Elrond travels with Bilbo Baggins, Frodo, Gandalf and Galadriel. Elrond is acting different since the destruction of the ring but not in a tired sense, which in doubt causes concerns from Galadriel and Cirdan.
Unbeknownst to them, Elrond has been hearing voices since the destruction of the One Ring. A voice that tells him that his children were going to choose mortality and would never sail.
At the last minute, he declines his offer and tells Galadriel that he will wait with his sons. Galadriel frowns but says nothing and reminds him that Celebrian will be waiting for him.
Elrond returns alone to Rivendell. Lindir and Erestor have left though Glorfindel stays. He stays in Rivendell, hearing about the news in Gondor and Arwen having a child. It was then he receives a visit from none other than beach cryptid himself: Maglor.
Maglor and Elrond talk. Elrond has mixed emotions about why Maglor disappeared. Their conversation ends with Maglor leaving him having asked why he chose not to sail with Galadriel and the other Ring Bearers.
Elrond tells him that even if he goes, he would never feel at home in Aman. His entire life has always been in Middle Earth and it was where he had made his family and has in the end lost them. Choosing to go there where the family he does not know well felt lonely and isolated. He would choose to go only to see Celebrian but something stops him.
In the middle of the night, he visits Celebrian's tomb. It is revealed here that everything in the stories about Celebrian has been a lie and that Celebrian had died due to her wounds from the orcs. In a way, Celebrian would be embodied back into Aman but the grief had taken such a heavy toll on him that he never said much of it.
Elrond's power explodes and he recreates Rivendell, purely preserving it. With the help of Vilya, he creates copies of those he loves. Throughout the years, he does what he could to hide Rivendell from both men, elves, hobbits and dwarves. He has taken people in and began to grow Rivendell back to its former glory, often having to kill those who break through their enchantment.
Within it, only Glorfindel and Maglor know. Maglor was able to escape and was powerful and trusting enough with Elrond to not be controlled, allowing him to get external help once he realises that Sauron has had Elrond by the leash with his ring all this time.
Outside, Tauriel and Celebrimbor escape the expanding borders but Ereinion and Legolas get sucked in. Tauriel and Celebrimbor meet Thranduil secretly. Thranduil demands why a Feanorian is with her and she tells him that he was sent by the Valar to sort out what he did. They plan to try and get in, with Tauriel offering to go through. Thranduil refuses, he has always considered her as his daughter, but Tauriel tells him that she has Celebrian's trust and that she can get through.
Celebrimbor begins to see an odd resemblance between her and Feanorian twins, asking Thranduil who Tauriel's parents are. Thranduil says nothing but it hints that Tauriel has some Feanorian blood somewhere mixed with her Silvan genes.
Tauriel heads through, trying all she could to fight to keep her mind. When she gets in, her first instinct is to find that shadow that had been watching her. The guy actually gets to her first, taking her to a secret part of the extended land and reveals to himself as Maglor.
Maglor asks what made her even try to get in. Tauriel tells him that she needs to tell Elrond that he needs to stop or else he would expose them to the rest of the humans. Maglor tells her that she is far behind with info and that Elrond knows exactly what he is doing and that he is long gone. He tells her that Sauron's last part of his soul is now in Vilya and has been feeding off Elrond's grief and pain for years.
Celebrian wakes up and notice that things have escalated. Elrond isn't himself (or basically his real self yanno) and tells her that their home is being threatened. She tries to believe it but after remembering what happened, she knows that this isn't right and that the people here don't deserve to be under control.
Elrond decides to have Celebrian be watched by Elladan and Elrohir and she is frustrated. She notices that Ereinion is here and wonders how? Using her own elven magic and the extension of Elrond's, Ereinion wakes up is still wondering how she's even alive. Ereinion tells her the truth of her existence, that she was supposed to be dead but somehow her soul disappeared from Mandos. As did Arwen's, Elladan's and Elrohir's.
Maglor and Tauriel plan to try and get to Celebrian and see if she could persuade her to talk to Elrond and not try and do a Morgoth/Sauron.
They succeed by fighting Elladan and Elrohir, getting Celebrian and Ereinion out of wherever they've been talking. Celebrian catches up with what's been going on and that the humans outside are going to destroy the place once Elrond decides to open Rivendell and expand it.
Elrond and Elros are preparing. Elros begins to slander a lot of names, like Maedhros and Maglor - even their biological parents. Elrond begins to wonder how Elros exists but realises that the voice in his head sounded eerily like him.
Fake Elros reveals to himself that he is a mix of Sauron's and all the pain, grief and anger Elrond had in himself. His own magic made his body, just like how Elrond's memory created Celebrian and Arwen. He had forced humans who drove into Rivendell into other members of his household.
Elrond's memories are now flooding his mind. How he created the place, Maglor and Glorfindel submitting to him and trying all they could to find a way to take the ring. Elros/Sauron tells him that his pain hurts the humans. As Elrond realises what he's done, he is now torn on losing his family or doing what is right.
Legolas is found by Glorfindel and they do some duel. Legolas does a bit of calibration by hitting Glorfindel in the head a little too hard. Glorfindel, wondering what the hell has been going on, follows Legolas to find the others.
Lindir finds Elros and Elrond together, Elrond doesn't know what to do but Elros gets impatient, deciding to use Lindir as leverage. Elrond fights him, using his power to stop Elros. Lindir dies (very sad, anyway) but during the duel, he realises that Elros has now obtained Vilya. (They don't know that Arwen saw this all go down oop).
Outside, Thranduil and Celebrimbor confront the humans and they realise that the borders of Rivendell are now beginning to fall and crack.
Inside, Elrond's magic is beginning to be transferred. What is holding the borders are breaking, just like how Sauron/Elros wants it to go. It's all going downhill at this point for this anti-hero villain boy.
As Elros leaves, Elrond tries to follow him but is stopped by Glorfindel and Legolas. They tell him that he needs to stop now before he could expose them to the world. Elrond doesn't have time and literally duels both of them. Glorfindel overpowers him in combat but with his power, Elrond subdues him and kills him. He injures Legolas, leaving him behind (sorry bro).
Maglor, Tauriel, Celebrian and Ereinion are now in a pickle when they find Arwen who informs them that people have entered and that people are starting to panic and remember. Tauriel and Ereinion give the three some time to go to Elrond and Elros.
The twin brothers fight. Elrond understanding now that the more anger he fuels, the more powerful Elros becomes. He understands now that the only way he could stop it all is to do what was right. And in a midst of it raining, Elrond slices Elros' hand and smashes the Ring. Sauron's last bit of his soul is destroyed and leaves Middle Earth. Elrond is left realising he just kinda killed the person who looks like his brother and himself.
He is found by Celebrian, Arwen and Maglor and wonders how they are alive. Maglor tells him that even if the ring has been destroyed, it was consequently Elrond's own magic that kept this all.
Celebrian, Arwen and the twins reunite with Elrond. He understands that he can't keep doing this and that if he wants to keep the rest of their kind safe he needed to release the torment from these people.
Elrond slowly takes down the enchantment. He and Arwen have a talk where he tells her that she will grow up and find a mortal man to love forever. He says goodbye to the twins as well, knowing that they will also find love and peace in their life.
Celebrian and Elrond talk for the last time. Celebrian tells him that she was always real to him and that despite the fact their children will never see Aman, she tells him that there is hope waiting for him on a boat. Elrond knows deep down he might never be even allowed anymore after what he had done but tells her that they will see each other when the world is at its end.
As the enchantment lifts, Celebrian tells him to live and enjoy what is out there.
The place returns to a desolate and empty valley. Maglor is waiting along with Tauriel. Tauriel is reminded of Ravenhill once more. Maglor embraces his foster son, telling him that it is alright and that he understands. Tauriel is in tears seeing the two, hearing that Maglor will be there when he is ready to confront what is there.
As Elrond approaches them, he recognises Ereinion and Celebrimbor in the distance, along with Legolas and Thranduil. He knows from their faces that he would never be accepted back into Aman.
Tauriel stops him before he disappears into the forest, giving him her number and telling him that if he ever needed just someone to talk to, she was there. Elrond, knowing Tauriel's backstory, nods and leaves.
The elves thankfully are safe. Thranduil pays the Swiss government (because he's that fucking rich) to not say a word.
When Legolas is out of the hospital, Tauriel visits him. Apparently, Ereinion and Celebrimbor are going to stay and try to find a way to help Elrond out, though they don't really know where he is and that they'd have to catch up with all the new shit going on.
Tauriel and Celebrimbor talk where Celebrimbor tells her that she might be related to him and Maglor really far back. She's shocked but isn't. She tells Celebrimbor about Kili and how she would have accepted to stay. Celebrimbor smiles, remembering Narvi all too well.
It ends with a sort of open ending. Tauriel turned up wandering in London to finally see that exhibit and realised that the blade she saw in the ad was actually some letter opener or a dagger.
A voice behind her tells her that the name of that blade was called Sting. And that it was once used by a dear friend of theirs. Tauriel turns around...only to find an old man carrying a crutch. She asks warily how he knows that name.
The old man smiles at her and just tells her that he knows quite well, asking her afterwards if she would like to accompany him on a journey.
The END
Bruh, when I think about this it sounds so crazy but honestly, I just needed to get this out. If you have any ideas let me know. Just to let you know, this idea is free to take. Just kinda let me know or just @ me somewhere.
That open ending is supposed to allow a sort of return of Elrond where he kinda continues to make bad decisions. He might try and find a way to break into Mandos or go beyond the unknown. You never know. He'll do anything to get his family back in my opinion.
The urge to just write a dark!Elrond fic just for my own satisfaction and that he would be such a hot anti-hero/villain just to keep his family safe. 😌💅👌🏼
#elrond#elrond peredhel#tolkien#fic ideas#i could have made this into a full fic#but this gal has too much on her plate to make it#but she's too desparate to not inform you of her ideas#elrond is a boss as bish#and we stan him#i don't believe in the glorification of murder and mind control#but i do believe in the empowerment of elven zaddies
