Most people do not know what to make of Elizabeth.

Her Vulcan colleagues found no fault with her, and never assumed she was more then she said, yet in some ways humans had always been more perceptive. She enjoyed indulging in the subtle smiles and jokes that surprised yet delighted them.

While the circumstances of her birth were announced over a hijacked broadcast, her continued existence had been kept relatively classified, and so many people had assumed she was the ramblings of a xenophobic madman with too much power.

She preferred it as such anyways. Being raised on a series of Starships by StarFleets finest officers granted her a certain freedom, a familiarity with diversity and a distance from Xenophobia that she found herself increasingly grateful for when she set out on her own.

She wondered what that would have been like, being told she should not exist.

The announcement of S'chn T'gai Spock is a sensation, an achievement for interspecies relationships that most believed unprecedented.

One of her colleagues, familiar with her first career as a science officer, came down to engineering to ramble in her general direction. Lizzie found this conversation increasingly disturbing.

"This is not an experiment, Dr. Fir-tho. It is a child." The doctor stopped, flushing a deep red and meeting her eyes with a nod.

She watched the doctor exit engineering at a clipped pace, and logged off for break. She had a few arrangements to make, and a trip home to request.

Premise

Elizabeth T’Les Tucker is saved by Doctor Phlox’s more ethical interpretations of Dr. Arik Soong’s genetic code writing. It also ignores Trip’s death as depicted in the final episode of ENT, “These Are the Voyages.”

Timeline

Liz was made in 2154. Due to her genetic instability, she was hospitalized in a secure facility, with mostly denobulan and human scientists in charge of cataloging her medical needs.

Her first port was installed a few days after her first birthday in June of 2155.

In 2157, Trip and T’Pol choose to raise Lizzie on earth and remain in service of Starfleet. Trip became one of the lead developers of high-yield warp, experimenting with warp 7 in the middle of the Romulan Wars. T’Pol served in Starfleet intelligence for a brief stint as a tactician before becoming a cultural liaison at the Vulcan embassy.

She entered Starfleet Academy in 2172.

Elizabeth is disabled due to the mistakes in her genetic coding. In 2175, after several failed simulations, she was informed that she couldn’t be in space for the periods of time required to sustain a mission. After completing her studies, Elizabeth chose to serve in different positions. She becamse an engineer like her father in 2177, concentrating on the Shipwright Division. In 2184 Elizabeth expanded her contributions by becoming an Academy professor, teaching different classes: the Vulkhansu language, flight history, theoretical engineering, and her infamous astrophysics class.

With the medical advancements in the 2230s, specifically in hybrid cases, Liz underwent now-possible modifications to her omni-port that could sustain her without constant medical check-ins. With this upgrade, Elizabeth could safely take deep space assignments, which she did for the first time in 2235. Her father was very proud to hear she’d chosen the engineering department yet again.

She ranked up to Commander in 2245.

On April 5th, 2263, on the two hundredth anniversary of First Contact, Lizzie accepted a position refurbishing an old vessel class for improved service, the often-joked about J-class.

Elizabeth and her team were scrutinized for the deaths of several cadets and the decommissioning of Fleet Captain Christopher Pike after a critical accident aboard the Republic in October of 2269.

After working against a bureaucracy overrun by hidden Terra Prime agents, Elizabeth joined the crew of the USS Progress in 2273 as Captain Pike’s Science Officer.

- A backstory

Two years after the death of her father and many medical scientific experiments via Doctor Phlox, T’pol gave birth to a set of Half Vulcan twins. Elizabeth and Charles Tucker IV. They grew up in Palm Harbor, FL around the corner from their Human Grandparents with their mother, with very frequent visits to Vulcan.

Elizabeth and her brother would enter primary school at grade 4 at an early age- even by human standards. They would start fourth grade at age 7. They would graduate from high school at age 16 and after a hard fought year they would enter the Vulcan Science Academy at 17 and graduate four years later at 21 then joined Starfleet much to the amusement of their mother.

At Starfleet Elizabeth would double major and double minor. Her primary major was on the Command Track and her secondary was in Astrophysics. Her primary minor was linguistics and her secondary was physics.

Every ship that she served on was in the capacity of pilot until she got her own captaincy after several long years of serving. For ten years she was Captain of a Nexus class Ship before finally taking a step away and being given the rank of Admiral at Yorktown where she served in that capacity for ten more years before taking up the mantle of Ambassador of Earth.

Lizzie’s shaking as the woman reaches out to touch her, pulling back a little, the woman must either be unaware of Vulcan’s touch telepathy or unaware that she’s half Vulcan. She whimpers and watches her with her big blue eyes, trying to figure the woman out.

“I-I’m Elizabeth, Elizabeth T’Les Tucker the first.” She mutters. “Where am I? This doesn’t look like my ship, I-I think I was kidnapped. I escaped from… from somewhere but I don’t know where I am but I want to go home.”

      --- The name is familiar, like something out of a history text she’d studied at the Academy, but she pushes the thought to the back of her mind; there was no way a child of this age would have been alive long enough to be mentioned in a history text. Kathryn instead focuses on trying to find the FACTS. Where was the girl from? Who were her parents? And how did she end up in the Delta Quadrant? She looked human, or close enough to it, and as far as Kathryn knew, Voyager was the only Federation ship in this part of the galaxy.
