Oh. Me. Gosh. The post about the misspellings of Elias's name made my brain give birth.

Elias being a triplet. His other siblings are Elian, the smart one, and Elisa, the talented one. And growing up, he felt like he could never be on their level or ever impress their (really uncreative when it comes to naming) parents. Elian has the turquoise hair, Elisa has orange hair, and Elias has lavender pink hair

Elisa is a dancer/choreographer💃. She is very artistic and can sing, dance, paint, all that shit. Despite being the favorite, she spent a lot of time trying to get away from their parents' judgemental gaze, either at dance practice, extracurriculars, or hidden in her room doodling. She's neutral about Elias and thinks Elian is too intense.

Elian is a business owner and a workaholic (see the eyebags?). He was an honors student, won spelling bees as a kid, and probably got a scholarship to yale or some pompous ass school like that 🙄. If Elisa was busy, he was the one their parents showed off to friends and coworkers. He doesn't mind Elisa but thinks Elias is pathetic and enjoys feeling above him.

And finally, Elias. The second he turned 18, he did his best to get the hell away from them all. His parents either ignored him or told him to be more like his siblings, to find a passion and stick to it. He felt despised b his family and became self-destructive since he just wasn't good enough.

(Tried to make Elias sorta rugged with bushy brows and a beard so that he's the exact opposite to his pretty brother)

I love the idea of Elias being born in a normal ass house with normal ass parents and a normal ass community so just imagine you have these older siblings who are just extremely extremely talented at what they are doing who set the bar waaaay too high. Like imagine both Elisa and Elian won scholarship with their respective abilities which in turn makes their parents expect the same level of talent from Elias

Like somehow these two normal people managed to birth two geniuses who managed to accomplish crazy stuff with their limited resources, so the parents would expect Elias to do the same on his own but Elias is mediocre at best at whatever he tries so they get disappointed in him…

I doubt I’d make this canon because for Elias to turn into who he is today I need him to be someone who was kinda spoiled for his looks growing up which kinda crippled his ability to develop skills and caused him to put way too much importance into his looks (since that’s the only thing people cared about him) but like this is such a funny idea I want it to be an AU

Height Comparison Tag

I use the main characters of my story just write

I try to incorporate the height in my story just write because it helps me making the characters more original. That's why I present you * drum roll * a rough picture of the main characters heights!

( I used a website for it but I don't know which one. It's been a couple months since I did this. But I actually started my comparison by making a collage in canva (below the cut))

From left to right:

Evette is roughly 1.60 meters

Juniper and James are about 1.73 meters (June likes boots so she would appear a bit taller than James)

Dean is something about 1.78 meters

Calvin is almost 2 meters tall, maybe a few centimeters smaller.

I have someone else (Elian) in the main cast but they don't have an exact height. Elian is a bit taller than Juniper but definitely smaller than Calvin. Eves best friend was almost as tall as Calvin in my first draft, but I made him smaller, being around Dean's height now.

My old references (with pictures from Pinterest). The pics I used are no face claims. At that time, I tried to find poses that would match their personalitys, because I wanted to draw them standing together (spoiler: I still haven't done that)

Elián and Selina were drawn back then in 2018.

I was about to do my formation cycle and I was thinking all the process of being an artist and having your own portfolio. Watching a lot of portfolios made by wonderful artists, made me realize some of their projects were about giving life a story, myth, or book.

So I was doing some exercise and research about old legends and myths. And how back then they explained how things originated in the beginning like the sun and the moon. And besides the titans Helios and Selene (Mena), there was this old tale about 2 lovers. And then I was thinking about rewriting this story and explaining it in my way.

He was tired.

Hed had nothing for days, maybe weeks. His memory had been fuzzy for a while now, things constantly moving around and crossing over. He couldn't remember the last time he'd seen Taylor.

He was so tired, that when the door slammed open, he could barely bring himself to jump.

He looked up, eyes searching around for his captor. He sounded so mad.

He gently slid his knees underneath him. He was being yelled at. He knew that. The words never truly went in, just washed over him. He used to try and understand, but it was always the same. A bad day at work. Someone cut him off in traffic. He just needed to unwind. He always said them as if they were reasonable excuses.

Hands against the wall. He understood after so many times what he had to do, he'd done it every single time before this one. For every too long line at the grocery store. For every coworker who ate too loud in the break room.

He heard swish behind him, and he let out a gasp before he was even able to process it. White pain spread across his back, following the line that had been stuck across him.

Almost as soon as the first had hit, the second came down, and then the third. He lost any breath he had in him almost immediately, heaving for air, trying to quieten the sobs that fell out of him, quick turning into screams. There was nothing else he could do but listen to his wails grow louder and more desperate, hearing himself form words he didn't know he knew how to form.

Dean was playing basketball with some friends out on a public court, messing around and having fun. He wasn't taking the game too seriously, but they were keeping score. One of his friends took a bad shot, and the ball went rolling away toward Elian's feet. "Hey- over here" he called out, holding his hands up so he could toss the ball back. "We got room for one more if you're up for a game" he offered

A few days ago I finished reading To Kill A Kingdom and I'm totally IN LOVE ❤️❤️❤️ and I have a huge obsession with this wonderful book. I have always been a "sea" person and the mermaid theme is one of my favorites but To Kill A Kingdom exceeded my wildest expectations. What I felt while reading it is indescribable, seriously I can't name it. I keep going back to my favorite parts now, I just can't tear myself away from this wonderful book. I also admire all the amazing fanarts that Alexandra shared on her Instagram (btw the authors of the fanarts - you are brilliant and mega talented people)

Lira and Elian... MY GOD HOW I LOVE THEM ❤️❤️❤️ you can't even imagine it - they are my favorite couple (they are also in my 1st place when it comes to the heroines of the books I have read so far). I also love Kye and Madrid (shipped them from the very beginning). I recommend reading To Kill A Kingdom to everyone with all my obsessed af heart ❤️
