Seven Spires veröffentlichen neue Single und Video

SEVEN SPIRES veröffentlichen „The Old Hurt of Being Left Behind“, die dritte Single aus ihrem kommenden Studioalbum „A Fortress Called Home“, das am 21. Juni über Frontiers Music Srl veröffentlicht wird. Der Track wird von einem neuen Musikvideo begleitet, das unten zu sehen ist. Frontfrau Adrienne Cowan äußerte sich wie folgt zu dem Song: „Dies war der erste Song, den wir für ‚A Fortress Called Home‘ geschrieben haben. Er entstand aus einem ergreifenden Klavierstück aus meiner Ideensammlung und wurzelte in der Musik und Geschichte von Edward Elgars 'Sospiri, op. 70'. Es ist ein Stück, das für mich oft wie der Schmerz des Verliebtseins klang. Und - ich finde, es liegt etwas so Zerbrechliches und leise Schönes in den schmerzhaften Qualen, wenn man einem anderen wirklich seine Seele offenbart. Inspiriert von dieser Gegenüberstellung haben Jack und ich unser Bestes gegeben, um die Hoffnung im Schmerz, die Melodie im Chaos und die Sanftheit in der Brutalität einzufangen. Ich denke, der Titel sagt im Grunde alles aus.“ A Fortress Called Home", das vierte Studioalbum von SEVEN SPIRES, ist der mit Spannung erwartete Nachfolger von ‚Gods of Debauchery‘ (2021) und treibt die für die Band typische Mischung aus symphonischer Power und extremem Metal auf neue Höhen und zieht den Hörer dabei in die tiefsten Abgründe. Adrienne Cowan kommentiert: „Während des Schreibens dieses Albums habe ich die Leere zweimal besucht. Ich weiß nicht, was das andere hervorgebracht hat. Es ist hässlich. Ich liebe es und ich hasse es, und ich denke, es ist unser bisher bestes Werk.“ A Fortress Called Home“ wurde von Jack Kosto produziert, abgemischt und gemastert, der dazu Folgendes zu sagen hat: „Wenn unsere vorherigen Alben dich auf eine emotionale Reise mitnehmen wollten, die wir selbst entworfen haben, zwingt dich dieses Album dazu, dich mit der Reise zu konfrontieren, die du selbst gemacht hast. Viel Glück und viel Spaß!“ SEVEN SPIRES' anstehender Tourplan für 2024 beinhaltet ein Headline-Set beim Mile High Power Fest in Denver, CO, im August und ihre allererste Headliner-Japan-Tour mit Lords of the Trident im Dezember. SEVEN SPIRES ist eine amerikanische Symphonic-Metal-Band aus Boston, MA. Seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 2013 am Berklee College of Music haben sich diese besten Freunde mit auffallend emotionaler Filigranität und unerbittlichem technischem Können eine Heimat in den dunkleren Ecken der melodischen Metal-Welt geschaffen. Hunter x Hunter Characters as My Favorite Classical Pieces of Music

Gon: Symphony No. 8 (Unfinished), Movement 1- Schubert

-This piece was written to represent the wide range of emotions felt in the city the composer lived in through the people he met

-Gon is a boy who puts his heart on his sleeve without fear

-He also allows the people he meets to open up to him and show him their emotions

-He’s met a lot of people basically; he’s the protagonist, after all

-The only difference with Gon and this piece is that Gon would probably be mad that it was left unfinished

-He would probably find a way to finish it somehow, too

Killua: Scheherazade, Movement 2- Rimsky-Korsakov

-The Scheherazade suite is the epitome of adventure and storytelling, and belongs to this wild kid

-Starts out light and charming, moves to a darker, heavier section, then finishes off strong and loud

-Overall, it encompasses each side of him; it’s mature, but still childlike and whimsical

-Scheherazade (both the story and the suite), has a lot going on in it, and the depth it holds never fails to fascinate me. 

-I could write an essay on how much I admire Killua’s character complexity omg

Kurapika: Sospiri- Elgar

-This piece is depressing as hell; it reflects the composer’s thoughts as he lived through WW1, and is seeping with pain. It conveys a lot in a short time span

-Sospiri does not portray its emotions quietly, and eventually bursts with color, just as Kurapika does

-Kurapika is easily my favorite character, and it’s an understatement to say that he’s tormented by what he’s been through

-I really want to give him a hug pls :(

-(I’m also playing this piece rn and wanted to find a way to add it in hehe)

Leorio: The Nutcracker (Specifically Act I)- Tchaikovsky

-Alright, I know The Nutcracker is basic, but I really enjoy it

-It’s very sweet, playful, and recognizable

-This part in particular is my favorite, and I gave it to Leorio because I feel that he resembles a march? If that makes sense?

-He has a bright personality and a large presence, just like a march :)

Hisoka: Carmen, Act IV: Entr’acte- Bizet

-This is the one that motivated me to make this post

-Honestly, I think the music speaks for itself

-It’s playful and teasing and abrasive

-I really like this song for him as a villain (because he’s one of my favorite villains based on his design and personality)

-Still not going to simp over him, though

Chrollo + the rest of the Phantom Troupe: Piano Trio No. 2, Movement 4- Shostakovich

-This piece is unnerving and intimidating; it’s perfect for a villain

-It also starts out really quiet and it reminds me of the times where Chrollo seems trustworthy

-It’s also a very angry piece of music, sometimes described as classical metal

-Chrollo and the Phantom troupe scare me but I like them anyway

-Another piece for them is Danse Macabre , but I thought that putting it would be too obvious

BONUS: the Zoldyck family- Dance of the Knights from Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev

-Fun fact: the HxH soundtrack quotes a lot of classical pieces, and this is one of them

-Just listen to the beginning of the Zoldyck theme and compare it to the piece above- it’s really cool once you can point it out in both pieces!

I’ve fallen hopelessly in love with Edward Elgar’s Sospiri op.70 and the idea that Philip Pullman wants it to be the piece of music that plays over Lyra and Will’s farewell in the Botanic Gardens in Oxford is hauntingly beautiful and just too painful to think about right now.

條通之 “華燈初上”，原本只有也是窄巷子的六條通。此片之

稱為 “條通”，是後來擴散的結果。當時的女侍一般並不特別打扮，

媽媽桑之外，一般日語曚渣渣，學花道一說是戲劇效果。

混久了相當懂得日本的人來客去，比如同理心的安慰 ：「上班辛苦

了 ！」，實在談不上一般台灣酒店的粉味程度。主要在雅士都飯店

對面巷口（六條通）進去的右邊。後來對面開始出現兩、三家穿禮服，

開高叉，一個個都高挑美麗的店家。日本人下班後喜歡喝一杯是文化

習慣，當年的六條通比較像是日本的 スナック。

約 30多年前，一星期總得報到 3、4 次，沒什麼小菜，主要是飲酒

聊天，卡拉OK。他處不敢說，這裡純屬個人交情，沒有店家安排

的出場規則 ；女生原自家中經濟陷入困境，不過都是個人相當崇敬

的台灣女兒。 日本租界在這頭，美國租界在雙城街那頭。家住附近，只進去過

一次，這裡屬於美國的 Bar 。當年越戰美軍來台度假，忘了是一或

兩個禮拜，就由不知是店家還是專業人士安排，包吃包住包旅遊

包睡覺，整套收費。 60多年前，除了老市區的 萬華 與 大稻埕，整個台北市差不多都是

日本家屋，包括當年國民政府來台的大小官員，分配的宿舍都是日本

家屋。在日治時代，屬於大正町，是日本官員的宿舍。比如 何上將軍

好像是在充��舊書香的牯嶺街。 中山北路在 60多年前，從有著蔣經國官邸的長安東路這頭望去，

只是一條泥土路，這就是 敕使街道。有趣的是以中華路（鐵路 原為

古城牆）為界，俗稱的 “城內”，與城外的 “西門町”，就相當能

彰顯殖民意義。戰後再次改元，改町為街道，自然不在話下了。
