one night in Gotham, there’s some sort of disruption, strange magic, or curse. all of the Batkids go down and come back up with powers that reflect their vigilante personas in some way. Dick can fly, Jason has super strength, Tim can read minds nearby, etc. they freak out, try out the powers a little, and decide to return home early from patrol because Bruce is gonna be pissed, right? he’s going to want to figure this out and study it. Duke is laughing his ass off all the way home (he got called for backup while they were processing) and enjoying a boost to his own powers.
they get home and Bruce isn’t in the Cave. he’s not in the Manor, and Alfred doesn’t know where he went. Duke gets a hit on the distant grounds, out by the lake. It’s Bruce, but not Bruce. whatever strange kickback of magic/power that gave them their new abilities is nothing compared to this.
Gotham has possessed Bruce, in every single way possible. he’s perched on a cliff overlooking Gotham, dressed only in sweatpants, uncaring of the cold. his eyes are sunken pits into Gotham’s foundations. his teeth are the gleam of bone. he is so beautiful and so terrible, all at once.
their new abilities, these powers, are a boon. they’ll take back Gotham from the night, as he foot soldiers. but they will never have Bruce — Bruce — ever again. that is the price.

Okay..here me out-
The JL finding out about Phantom due to him being trapped in his eldritch primal form (four arms, lots of wings, eyes, spacey and basically biblically accurate angel).
But it's not because of a fight or anything.
It's because happy fluffy feathered eldritch decided to take a dust bath on the Fucking Moon. Just confused JL watching this eldritch creatures wiggling and flapping up moondust cause his wings are itchy and HE IS SO HAPPY TO BE IN SPACE.

I have seen the headcanon that Elrond (+ the other Peredhel in Luthien's line) can turn into birds like Elwing. This is an amazing idea, but I don't think it gets used nearly to its full potential. Consider, Elrond in the Second Age is Gil-Galad's herald. A herald does a lot of things, including delivering the king's proclamations. You know, like a messenger. Like how humans have used messenger doves before. He's also sometimes called Gil-Galad's minstrel.
I raise you, Gil-Galad dictating his latest diplomatic letter to bird Elrond and then (lovingly) throwing him out of the window so he can fly over and deliver it. Ambassadors going to Gil-Galad's court and being very confused when a strange bird none of them can identify is introduced as the court minstrel. Also Gil-Galad being absolutely insufferable about how a "little bird told him" about all the latest diplomatic gossip. Elrond encourages all of this behavior. They're horrible enablers for each other.

Prompt 193
Once again I put forth cryptid batfam. But with a Marvel crossover. Because why not.
See Gotham isn’t really talked about by the others in the US. The other cities ignore, ignore, ignore as best they can manage, pretending that if they don’t see it, it doesn’t exist.
That being said, they aren’t completely oblivious to it either. Oh they don’t believe the tales and whispers that come out of the place, because if they were true surely someone would have done something. But they are aware of things like Wayne Industries or Drake Enterprises, right up there with Stark’s.
Both of which are based within Gotham, though have plenty of things outside the dreadful city as well. Now the Drake couple were constantly seen at galas outside of New Jersey before their tragic demise, but the Waynes? Never once have they been seen outside their city for a single Gala.
Which makes this invite that one Tony Stark get to one of the Gotham Galas incredibly surprising. Suspiciously so actually, but he has the option for a couple plus ones. His team might be interested- Shield definitely would, seeing as Gotham is a complete blackout on their files. And from his hacking he’s discovered that any information gathering attempts of theirs have failed.
But really, how bad can it be, it’d only be a couple days after all.
Okay what is that fucking thing on top of the building-

Some ideas for some sneaky otherkin gear, I suppose?
Tumblr media
So, multiple eyes first! Glasses with more than two lenses and eye themed jewelry!
Tumblr media
And wings!! Wing themed glasses and puffy/flared sleeves!!
I know it's only two things, but when I come up with more ideas, I'll reblog this with the updates or something, lol! Hopes this helps!!
(Also, as a side note, there is a thing called hoof shoes, for all you horses or unicorns or pegasus ((idk if I spelled that right)) or who/whatever else wants to look them up!)

Does anyone else enjoy sleeping on their stomach? I just lay in my nest with my blanket on my back and I can just feel my wings splayed out comfortably and I find the idea of laying on my back horrible cause I don't wanna mess up my pretty wings. It also makes my dog brain happy to be laying down with my arms tucked and nuzzling into the pillow.
Idk, sudden realization why I adore sleeping on my stomach. Especially when my cat enters with in the blankets, makes me feel like my wings curl around him too.

Bonus Penguin: The Albino Penguins were bred by the Elder Things long ago, but their purpose is unknown. They eventually lost their eyesight and pigmentation after moving to the subterranean ruins when Antarctica froze over.

Whenever Numenor experienced a plague or outbreak, Elrond came, without fail, to treat the sick and offer the people of the island comfort. He did it for many reasons– to honor the legacy of Elros and his descendants, because he sometimes considered the Numenorians more his people than either elves or men, because he was a healer who believed deeply that all life had value.
Of course, treating mortal plagues is a hazardous business– especially for a part-human medic who is just as susceptible to the disease as his patients.
Elrond, never one to be dissuaded from trying to save lives, tries to find a way to protect himself from the infection while being able to treat his patients. No one in Middle-Earth knows exactly how mortal diseases spread, but it's clear that it spreads from the healthy to the ill– through bad air, coughing, infected blood, or some other means. So, Elrond has to find a way to not make contact with or breathe the same air as his patients. While treating them.
Eventually, he settles on a set of robes that leaves no inch of his skin uncovered, along with heavy, opaque veils and a mask of his own design for his face. The mask– full of athelas flowers to purify the air– is fashioned in the shape of a bird as an homage to Melian, who was said to have healing powers. He made the main piece mask with his own hands, carved it from dragon bone– sturdy, and thought to have protective powers against against diseases and curses. The eyes are made of dark tinted glass that glows faintly– a gift from Celebrimbor.
In all fairness, Elrond did not realize how creepy the bone white mask and fully-black outfit was, especially given his general aura of strangeness ad birdlike mannerisms. He had bigger concerns at the time. That said, his outfit, which kept him from getting sick even during the worst of the outbreak, was soon adopted by many of the Numenorian healers. Over time, the story of the plague doctor shifted became part of Numenor's legend– that healers dressed in such strange outfits to frighten disease away. In that way, the odd, birdlike appearance of the plague doctors soon became a comfort to the Numenorians, rather than a fright.
As gifts for helping with various outbreaks over the years, Elrond also got several plague doctor masks that were decorated, more for style than for purpose. He wears them at fancy elvish events sometimes, just to mess with everyone. And whenever he heads off to Numenor, he always makes sure to bring his full plague-doctor regalia, just so the people there will know he's always there to protect them from any lurking plagues.

How does Lamb deal with children in the cult? (I personally smothered those little shits in love just to get them up to lvl 7-8 from the get-go) They give off the vibes of something mildly eldritch tickling an infant with way too sharp claws, but I'm curious about your take on it.
They are very kind to the younger kids, sometines even watching over some of them if the other followers are busy w work around the camp (they are busy too but they dont mind, it reminds them of old times)
Lamb likes to tell scary stories and legends to the older ones too.
