Elaine kiss Booker or Murph
Elaine’s cheeks tinge pink at the unexpected question, and she resists the urge to press her hands over them. It is like this person has been watching the office, and knows about the handsome men who work with her! At least they did not ask about all three guys—that would be more embarrassing than she wants to admit too!
Tumblr media
“Oh come on,” She laughs and rubs lightly at her face. “Like either of those guys would want to kiss me! Let’s be real here!” Still, the question demands an answer. Despite the pink quickly turning to red, she finds herself seriously considering her options. In the end, only one choice stands clear. Even if Murphy is cute, and kind, her answer will always favor Booker. Dropping her eyes shyly, she bites down on her bottom lip before confessing. “If I had to pick between them, I’d pick Dennis. Not that he’d ever notice, what with the supermodel types he likes to go out with!” she quickly adds on. “I’m just his secretary. Guys never seriously notice secretaries—just in a kind of casual way, or if they want to harass us. Dennis is too nice to do the latter, and well…” She trails off quietly, eyes focusing on her haphazardly stacked pen cup. “Like I said, he likes to go out with supermodel types…”

Elaine Feeney || How to Build a Boat
Booker Prize Longlist 2023 I am not quite sure about How to Build a Boat. At times I felt it was getting a tad over the top. On the cover of my copy Douglas Stuart claims that How to Build is ‘a gorgeous gift of a novel, hopeful and full of humanity’. I agree with it being hopeful and being full of humanity. Maybe I would have appreciated its literary quality more if it had been less full of…

Booker and Elaine's daughter @avictimofthejazz
Tumblr media
Name: Ellie Denise Booker
Fc: Gina Gershon
alias: Madeia (Cunning) Andras (Marquise of HELL) Booker,
(gang crime name) Coffin Booker
Shrewd. She whole-heartedly takes after Dennis Booker. Her outward appearance is MENACING but like her father, she's a massive SOFTIE. She loves helpping innocent people while putting the hurt on JERKS who deserve it. Her left ear is riddled with multiple FAKE piercings and she has a tattoo of a skull on her right hip. She dresses in a beat up black leather jacket and wears only mascara for makeup. Danger hardly fazes her.
There are bits of Elaine in her. She excels with being a secretary and snoop.
Works for the NEXT GEN of Jump Street. Her FATHER hates it. It puts him on edge given how badly he burned out from the same unit.

Encouragement Statements For The High points and low points Of Life
Tumblr media
It's completely common to require a portion of energy to a great extent when life gets you down. Some of the time the perfect statement of f encouragement উৎসাহ নিয়ে সেরা উক্তি is all you really want to make something happen.
Cart Parton broadly expressed, "Figure out what your identity is and do it deliberately." That doesn't mean it's in every case simple. Encouragement is the activity of giving help, certainty, or trust, and we as a whole need it occasionally.
Among individual and expert obstructions, it's occasionally simple to feel like nothing is going right and we have all been there. Fortunately, scholars, thinkers, writers, and others have shared endless elevating statements for quite a long time.
However, these uplifting statements don't need to be held for just the awful days. Go ahead and add one to a card and send it to a companion, message one to a collaborator, or use them as an Instagram inscription (we as a whole realize statements work best, right?).
Whether you're searching for something to elevate yourself or looking for a delicate suggestion to ship off a companion, let this assortment of support statements lead the way.
Short Encouragement Statements:
1."We will come up short when we neglect to attempt." ― Rosa Parks "If you have any desire to lift yourself up, lift up another person." ― Booker T. Washington 2."Empowering somebody to be altogether themself is the most intense method for cherishing them." ― Kalen Dion 3."Achievement isn't conclusive, disappointment isn't deadly: the boldness to proceed with counts." ― Winston Churchill 4."Through discipline comes opportunity." — Aristotle 5."Make it a point to surrender the great to go for the extraordinary." ― John D. Rockefeller 6."Support is like water to the spirit, it makes everything develop." ― Chris Burkmenn 7."It is during our most obscure minutes that we should shine to see the light." — Aristotle 8."Our main need is somebody who will motivate us to be what we realize we could be." ― Ralph Waldo Emerson
9."At the point when you have a fantasy, you must get it and never let go." — Hymn Burnett 10."The sky is the limit. The actual word says 'I'm conceivable!'" — Audrey Hepburn
Encouragement Statements From Writing
1."At the point when your fantasies are greater than the spots you regard yourself as in, in some cases you want to search out your own updates that there is something else. Furthermore, there is in every case more sitting tight for you on the opposite side of dread." — Elaine Welteroth, All that anyone could need: Asserting Space for What Your identity is 2. "Whatever happens to you has a place with you. Make it yours. Feed it to yourself regardless of whether it feels difficult to swallow. Allow it to support you, since it will." — Cheryl Wandered, Small Gorgeous Things: Counsel on Adoration and Life from Dear Sugar 3. "The delight of life comes from our experiences with new encounters, and thus there could be no more prominent bliss than to have an interminably evolving skyline, for every day to have a new and different sun." — Chris McCandless, Into Nature 4. "Assuming that you look the correct way, you can see that the entire world is a nursery." — Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Mystery Nursery 5. "Rather than agonizing over what you have zero control over, shift your energy to what you can make." — Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
Positive Reasoning Statements 1."Every day comes bearing its gifts. Loosen the strip." — Ann Ruth Schabacker 2. "In each day, there are 1,440 minutes. That implies we have 1,440 day to day chances to have a beneficial outcome." — Les Brown 3. "You and you alone are the main individual that can carry on with the existence that composes the story that you were intended to tell. Furthermore, the world necessities your story in light of the fact that the world requirements your voice." — Kerry Washington 4. "I need to be in the field. I need to be courageous with my life. Furthermore, when we settle on the decision to dare enormously, we join to get our butts kicked. We can pick mental fortitude or we can pick solace, however we can't have both. Not simultaneously." — Brene Brown 5. "Try not to fear disappointment. Try to flop to track down ways of succeeding." ― Lailah Gifty Akita 6. "There is in every case light. If by some stroke of good luck we're sufficiently valiant to see it. If by some stroke of good luck we're adequately courageous to be it." — Amanda Gorman 7. "It's something superb to be hopeful. It keeps you sound and it keeps you tough." — Daniel Kahneman 8. "To be clear dear, not all good change feels good in the first place." — S.C. Lourie 9. "When you overcome your apprehension, nothing is ever all around as hard as you naturally suspect." — Olivia Newton-John
10. "Who do you invest energy with? Criticizers or encouragers? Encircle yourself with the people who trust in you. Your life is excessively significant for anything less." ― Steve Goodier

booker longlist day 10/11:
okay i do like this one so far like the style is a bit experimental but not in an overly pretentious "i'm going to make my book 95% incomprehensible" way
so i went into this pretty much blind but i knew it was about a boy searching for his mother and i took that pretty literally so imagine my surprise when the mom died like right after he was born
reading progress has been a bit slow and i'm still blaming work even though i'm off now bc a massive wave of exhaustion hit me yesterday and i think that was backlogged exhaustion
sidenote i've seen people are getting their hands on the one to-be-published book (prophet lane) and the streets are saying it's incredibly difficult to read god help me this longlist is out to kill me this year
longlist progress: 6 out of 13
pages read (day 10/11): 56

Note
if Booker xElaine had a kid
Name: Julian Peter Booker
Gender: Male
General Appearance: Julian has a slighter build then most guys. He got Elaine's brown hair, instead of Dennis's black hair, but his hair is a bit straight and unruly like his dad's. Unlike either of his parents, he has to wear glasses, and this has given him a 'nerdy' appearance.
Personality: A living example of 'still waters run deep'. A quiet, hard-working student, who is good at math and wants to be an engineer, few people realize that Julian has his dad's streak for insanity. If left unchecked, he is on the road to being a mad scientist.
Special Talents: Julian can get anything mechanical or robotic to work with a bit of tweaking. Likes to build battle bots, and find places to fight them against other bots.
Who they like better: Julian tends to gravitate toward Elaine a bit more, finding his dad a touch intimidating. He is not afraid of Dennis, by any stretch of the word, but he feels like he is not 'manly' enough to make his dad proud. He tries his best, but often feels like he is lacking.
Who they take after more: Despite gravitating toward his mom, he is 100% Dennis's son in a somewhat different wrapper. He just does not realize that yet.
Personal Head canon: Julian would 100% build his own electric chair in shop class if he could get away with it.
Face Claim: Owen Vaccaro

Accidentally deleted the ask, but @jeanharlowseyebrows asked #2 for the book ask game
2. Top 5 books of all time
I always feel like I'm forgetting something when listing favourite books, but in no particular order:
1. The regeneration trilogy by Pat Barker
Yes it's technically a trilogy, but i couldn't just choose one and the whole series is phenomenal. With every book gaining a booker prize nomination, the series is deeply well researched and are the sort of books that leave you asking yourself philosophical questions.
2. America is not the heart by Elaine Castillo
A book about family, immigrant identity and language, America is not the heart, conveys big emotions and themes through small moments and actions. It's also uses language in a really interesting way that furthers its themes.
3. The traitor baru cormorant by Seth Dickinson
It feels a little strange including this book when I haven't read the rest of the series, but even as a stand alone it's fantastic. This is the sort of book that almost demands a reread because of how the ending recontextualizes what came before it. It's also one of the most well done depictions of colonialism in fantasy I've ever seen.
4. The pull of the stars by Emma Donoghue
I'm not someone who really has favourite authors per-say, but putting together this list made me realize how much I like Emma Donoghue's writing. Donoghue's skills really shine because of what a narrow focus this book has: set over a few days, primarily in one room.
5. The Wonder by Emma Donoghue
While also being historical fiction by the same author, the wonder is a far more cinematic and cerebral book than the pull of the stars. Which is why it makes sense it got a film adaptation. However, in my opinion, the book does a better job at executing its events and themes and their intricacies.

Incorrect Quotes: 21 Jump Street:
crazed killer: We have Booker
Elaine: Let me speak with him
killer: Go ahead, you’re on speaker
Elaine: you're such a dumbass, how the hell did you manage to get yourself kidnapped AGAIN?! Do you KNOW how much I’ve paid in ransoms this year?!!!
