Out of the Abyss Crew being themselves as ever:
Under duress the big paladin lady (Ekata) just picks up the lil guys (Stool the myconid and Bart) and runs.
Ace and Toad roll high against a few Nothics and their stupid evil gaze. Nothics may STARE but they stare right back.
For reasons Bart has to shove a big-ass dragon egg around that's almost as big as him (it involves slightly abusing his magical ring and connection to his patron).
Bart, despite being a fucking warlock, repeatedly fails charisma rolls for some mysterious reason.

Had a thought.
What kind of creature do u think I'd be???
(To me u seem like an elf vampire)
i probably seem like an elf vampire because of. well. crispin from treebury upon avon and. he's an elf vampire. (i'm not either of those things sadly.) but you also have very elf vibes !! perhaps even some type of sprite or fairy. something magical (:
#random asks#(oh fuck that reminds me of writing ekata. i've done some of that. might put it onto the blog as just the document)#(i have to work on crispin himself instead of his family. maybe i'll do that. later)#(but his family history is so fascinating to me !! and i love talking about. treebury vampires)#(they're so much fun.)

Umm Hellooo,
So I was wondering are there any canon children of Mitra dev and Varuna dev or Agni dev and Soma dev.
Also I love absolutely anything you post here it makes my day ☺️
Omg hiii Im so flattered thank youuu
Okay so they do have canon children
Mitra-Varuna's offspring - Agastya and Vasistha
2. Mitra-Revati's children - Utsarga, Arishta and Pippala
3. Varuna had many kids too - Srutayudha, Pushkara, Sushena, Bala, Sura, Andharmaka, Dakshasavarni Manu, Varuni (goddess of wine, and yes, she is sometimes separated from her Varunani form), Bhrigu (sometimes) etc.
4. Agni-Svaha's children - Pavaka, Pavamana, Suchi. In the Devi Bhagavat Puran, the names are different. They are Dakshinam, Garhapatyam and Ahavaniyam.
5. Agni has other kids too - Nila, Agneya, Draupadi, Drishtadhumnya, Bhrigu, Subrahmanya, (Ekata, Dvita, Trita from water), and Skanda (initially).
6. So with Soma, if we consider him as a separate deity from Chandra, then I'm not really sure, because at that time he was rather a bachelor ladies-man. But if we synonymize him with Chandra then....
7. Chandra-Manohara's children - Varchas, Shishira, Prana, Ramana
8. Chandra-Tara's offspring - Budh
9. He also has a daughter called Jyotsnakali.

as it got a good reception, I am here to share more about the hack with toxic yaoi Jagens(Off anon this time!)!
It’s called Sword of the Fairy King. It takes place on a currently unnamed continent. This world consists of two dimensions living in parallel: the upper world, populated by the humans, and the Otherworld, populated by the fairies(also called the elves). They used to war for millennia for unknown reasons, until a new Fairy King decided on a policy of isolation to prevent more war. This state of affairs continued for hundreds of years, and the existence of fairies faded from the memory of humans. But, in the present, the Fairy King abruptly stopped their policy of isolation, and began a war against the surface.
The two lords are named Edmund(I’m using my name for him), the son of Duke Falstaff of the human kingdom of Ekata, and Scathah, an aspiring general of the Fairy Kingdom. Over the first six of each of their chapters, they will come closer and closer to conflict, and in chapter 7, they’ll fight. For that chapter, you’ll have to choose which army to play as, and the two armies will fight. The goal of that chapter will be to have your lords talk to each other. If you kill any of the other armies playable units, THEY WILL BE DEAD. So you’ll have to try to avoid combat with the enemy units while getting your lord across the map to talk to the other. After that, they’ll realize that this war is founded on lies, and will work together to defeat the Fairy King.
Meriadoc is the Jagen of Edmund’s army and is a knight of house Falstaff, and Starbuck is the jagen of Scathah’s army, and is her mentor. Starbuck is going to leave the party after chapter 7, and is going to be re-recruitable in a paralogue where they duel.
The other two units I’m sure of are the Christmas cavaliers of Edmund’s army, Magaidh and Lachlann. Magaidh is a butch. Lachlann is a twink. Magaidh has yuri with the early game Pegasus Knight. Lachlann has yaoi with the mid game Wyvern Rider. I love them.
anyway! That’s my in progress rom hack!

WLW Book Recommendations
Happy Pride!
Recommendations are under the cut due to the size of this post. The books listed below are:
The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon
Crier’s War by Nina Varela
The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri
The Winter Duke by Claire Eliza Bartlett
Ace of Spades by Faridah Abike-Iyimide
Seven Devils by L. R. Lam and Elizabeth May
Malice by Heather Walter
The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon (high fantasy)
Yes, this book is a monster, but it is well worth your time. Told from multiple perspectives spanning a huge fantasy world, an ancient evil is waking up, and humans must be prepared. This book does a great job of blending many different cultures into one narrative, and the way it deals with organized religion is better than any other book I've ever read. While this is a fantasy over a romance, the sapphic relationship in this book is top tier. It develops slowly and naturally; it's not big and sweeping like a lot of romance in fantasy, but the smaller things really come through.
Crier's War by Nina Varela (high fantasy)
In a fantasy world, humans are ruled over by automae, artificial beings that were initially created by humans but have now taken over as the 'superior' beings. Ayla's family was killed by the king, and she vows to take revenge by killing his own family, his only daughter, Lady Crier. I find the history of the automae very interesting in this book, and Crier's story in particular has a lot of good reveals. While this is an intense high fantasy, there is a bit of humor in it. Told from both Ayla and Crier's perspectives, I find it incredibly funny that a human girl is scheming how to assassinate a princess while said princess is experiencing her first crush on said human girl.
The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri (high fantasy)
This book is set in a world inspired by ancient India, and tells the story of a maidservant and princess. The maidservant has a dark past that involves illegal magic and old societies, and the princess has been imprisoned by her cruel and despotic brother. This book is very much on the slower side, but some people prefer that. Similar to Priory, this book is told from multiple points of view, not just the two main characters. The unrest in the kingdom is slow and creeping but happens steadily and realistically. Also, concerning the romance, I actually quite like that the two main characters, Priya and Malini, don't exactly have a very healthy relationship.
The Winter Duke by Claire Eliza Bartlett (high fantasy)
One of my favorite books, The Winter Duke is about Ekata, one of the many children of the duchy of Kylma Above. All she wants to do is leave this place and her family to pursue her dreams of scholarship, but when her family falls into a permanent sleep the day before her departure, she must step up to rule. As someone who loves political fantasy, this book is right up my alley, and yours too as long as that's something you like. I really like that this book explicitly states that Ekata has zero interest in men romantically and is only interested in women. Her romance with Inkhar definitely brings out the YA aspects of this book. Ekata is forced to grow up so quickly, it's nice to see her have a crush and get flustered over it like any teenage girl.
Ace of Spades by Faridah Abike-Iyimide (mystery thriller)
At a predominately white private school, the only two Black students are targeted by an anonymous texter, Aces. Though they have nothing in common, they team up in order to uncover Aces and protect their secrets. Plot wise, this is by far my favorite thriller I've ever read. It's tense, it'll keep you on the edge of your seat, and it discusses institutionalized racism, especially in academia, masterfully. One of the main characters, Chiamaka, has a great sideplot of coming to terms with her sexuality. However, when it comes between her safety and her romance, I love that she keeps a level head on her shoulders and always chooses the former. (There is also MLM rep in this book with the other POV character.)
Seven Devils by L. R. Lam and Elizabeth May (space opera sci-fi)
An intergalactic empire spreads across the universe, and it's up to a ragtag group of rebels to stop it. Eris was once heir to the entire empire, but she gave that up to be part of the Resistance, and one mission may be the deciding factor in the universe's continued freedom. While Eris is technically the main character, this is fundamentally an ensemble cast with multiple perspectives. This book has quite a bit of LGBTQ+ representation, including a sapphic relationship between two of the POV characters. While not a huge focus of the book, their relationship is sweet and touching.
Malice by Heather Walter (high fantasy)
Malice is a retelling of Sleeping Beauty following Alyce, the Dark Grace, who is reviled but used by all in the kingdom of Briar. Alyce dreams of escaping Briar until she starts to master her powers and meets the Princess Aurora. I will admit that I prefer the plot to the romance in this book for the most part, but the ending really gets me sometimes. Alyce's powers and her people's history are so interesting, and Aurora is a great, understanding, and kind love interest.
Stay tuned for more pride recommendations all throughout this month!

Well, hello there!
I am working on a Fire Emblem ROM Hack, and this is a blog for that! The ROM Hack being called, as the blog name implies, The Fairy King's Sword.
This game takes place on the continent of Skotika, which is split between four countries.
The Kingdom of Ekata, ruled by King Dagult, known as the home of knowledge.
North of Ekata, the Triumvirate of Finnidas, ruled by a trio of democratically elected lords, a great mercantile hub of the continent.
In the far west, The Holy State of Gilvar, a theocracy devoted to the worship of the divine dragon Nidhogg, ruled by Archbishop Elgos.
And in the centre, the Empire of Fragia, the largest country on the continent, ruled by Emperor Trajan.
A tenuous peace has been kept between the nations for a very long time, but, while returning home from negotiations with Fragia's general Agrippa, Edmund, the heir of Ekata's House Falstaff, is embroiled in a plot that will shatter the tenuous balance on the continent.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the humans, there exists an entire parallel world to their own, populated by the fairies. And the fairies are preparing to march to war with the surface world, at the command of the titular Fairy King, Morrigan.
The Otherworld is split between two nations:
The High Kingdom, ruled by the Fairy King, that dominates the west and the King's authority is virtually unquestioned. But on the other side of the Sea of Dragons is the Elvish Confederacy, a group of rebels who fled the High Kingdom long ago. Between them is the Wilds, virtually unexplored and incredibly dangerous.
Now, to introduce our lords:
First, Lord of the Human world, the aforementioned Edmund, Prince of Falstaff. He is a Mage Lord, or, a mounted Mage. His personal weapon is the Flamegale.
And then Scathah, Lord of the Fairy World. She is an aspiring general of the High Kingdom, and with the help of her mentor Starbuck, she wishes to aid the Fairy King in his war. She is an Elf Lord, or an umounted swordsman, and her personal weapon is a simple Rapier.
For the first several chapters, you will alternate between both lord's armies, as they come closer and closer to conflict.
And the Fairy King himself, architect of all that is to come.
Anyway! More information to come! And if you have questions, just send it in!

SO - Out of the Abyss Crew is... uh, well they did make it out of the Abyss! Briefly! After a very near TPK! Now, after meeting with their contacts and making new ones, they have to go back and deal with those darn demon lords.
Althea ribs Bart about the state of his (non-existent) underclothes "You know he's Donald Duckining it up in there!"
Ekata and Bart discuss how to relate their adventures to the dwarven king they're about to meet. She is not shy about her tastes.
Ace, the space case, seems to always roll shit or nat 20s on wisdom checks and apparently he knows EVERYTHING about Waterdeep.
Schmoozing with the leaders of various factions, everyone hits it off really well! We gained all sorts of allies, advantages, and new tools to play with... and then there's Bart.
Bart is not having a good time:
(He truly does not mean to be like this.)

03.10. My Lule. Oh, here's your Ekata.
You were crying, I heard, which is quite unlike you. At least I think you were crying. You're always at the door here, talking to me. You were always so interesting to me, Lucjan, when we were children! You never cried very much, unlike the little ones in this house, namely the youngest girl, Helmi. What a sensitive child indeed. You never did smile either really, did you? And I was your opposite - as if my heart were on the outside! Constantly throwing fits over the littlest things. A tempest Bojana called me (though we called her Janica, remember? Oh, how she disliked it. She much preferred her regular name, Bojana-Leptirica. But I think it's nice, and matches us, Lule and Ekata and Janica. Imagine if you were a Lulica instead! Really). I was quite irascible, I think that's the word, but I'm what she would call "softer" now, certainly. Two enneae and a bit I've lived, and it's certainly made me more reasonable. Though it's not very much, is it? How old is our Janica? She must be hardly seventy, still young as we are. I do think you ought to come in sometime if you cry so. Lord Ruusu may be so kind as to open his doors to welcome you, Lucjan, the brother of his Katariina. I never liked that much and I'd rather the family called me my name Ekaterina, or Ekata, as you do. But you never refuse the name they give you, as it's a good name, and it's very distinguished and proper. Maybe they'll name you something as well. Something like Luukas. I'd like Luukas. And we'd be Katariina and Luukas, certainly, what a thing that is! - Your Ekata
