darkrai's dex entries are either 'it's misunderstood and can't make friends because of its nightmare powers :(' or 'it's EVIL it HATES YOU it gives NIGHTMARES to EVERYONE' or ambiguous and the pokemon masters game has this problem where the pokemon are just not very sentient in the writing most of the time so it's hard to pinpoint what exactly cyrus's darkrai feels about him
my hc that the darkrai in the game is just lonely and hangs out with cyrus cuz he's the only freak on the island that 'likes' (liking things is for people with spirit but he won't admit it) the void nightmares every night
Darkrai looked at Cyrus and was like "hmm. you seem like a freak. let's be best friends"

You know what??? I think Pokémon really went off with the category of designs that's just "looking like a human woman in a dress". I know people are horny for some of these designs but I must stress I care a 0 amount about that. It's not my motivation, nor does knowing about it ruin these designs for me. I just like them.
