[I decided to do a side-to-side comparison of how far I’ve come during the time a little bit before Stormblood, to now that we are a few months away (arguably) from Shadowbringers using the same tool as last time.

You can tell I have taken a liking to leveling classes. And all of them leveled without jumping potions because they are way too costly for me.

Also for whatever reason, the DoH/DoL classes are all fucked up. I do not have Carpenter at level 50. My classes are GSM 26, WVR 70, CUL 68 and BTN 70. Guess they all got moved to the side?

It was, overall, incredibly fun. And I got a bit emotional looking back at my first steps into Stromblood...May the upcoming expansion be just as exciting to wait for.]

WARDROBE MEME - IREINE VILAUCLAIRE

I take a time to do it because I also hoped the screens would give the feelings and spirit behind every fashion choice! (Nah, I’m a libra, we’re this kind of people XD). Anyway, just a quick explanation about everything (under read more):

1- Scholar glamour: this is the outfit I use mostly because it’s my main job and it’s probably the one I love more. It’s somewhat tribal in its feeling because Ireine didn’t live in big cities, she’s a duskwight girl whose family lived in caves for a long time. So this is what she would use: you can see some patterns that will repeat on the other outfits, such as feathers and jewelry and the soft and blue colors with the tenacity of leather.

2- Summoner glamour: this is new, but I also love it. Same pattern with the scholar outfit (nice gems on jewelry, belts, leather  feeling of something rustic), but also somewhat different: purple instead of blue and black instead o white, even if they’re other pair of boots, it’s still made of good leather.

3- Housing glamour: oh, this one has a nice story in canon for it - it was actually made by her cousin, Ejaux Daserain, he made one for her, for himself and for her husband, and they’re so warm and soft she uses it home all the time with some comfy boots too. Again, it has feathers and a homemade air going on around.

4- Bedtime glamour: probably the most soft touching glamour? You can see some lace, creamy fabric, delicate pattern, it’s not something she would usually before, but now that she’s married and have her own home she feels she can definitelly use this king of thing and she feels pretty, graceful and beautiful wearing them, so she will. She bought the first pair of stocks for her wedding night (her friends made her buy it) and now she have a taste for it.

5- Formal attire glamour: again, even when she’s going all formal and dandy, you can still feel discern the pattern going on: it has delicate fabric, yes, but also featers and gems and some leather and it’s in a greyish blue. She was raised in the woods, afterall, not on Gridania nor Ishgard, and she doesn’t see herself in one of their formal dresses or anything else too heavy and constrict.

6- Beach time glamour: this one is fun! Their house is by The Mist, so now she can go to the beach whenever she wants, but it’s still with some caring: her skin is too fair for the sun, shoe her husband makes her wear this huge hat here she put a nice carnation flower to give some colour, and even the swinsuit is made to cover more skin. She also applies tons of sunscreen and some cream after.

I had a lot of fun taking those and thinking about it, I didn’t even realize the pattern going on until I saw them all side by side, to be honest, and it’s kinda nice and funny to see and realize your character has a strong opiion on what they’re dressing. [HELLO, I FINALLY GOT WHM TO 70 and realized I never quite shared that I did get RDM to 70 like. Almost a month ago now, B U T, here, have celebratory screens! :D]

Wardrobe Meme: 6 Shades of Noodle

[I was tagged by @thebookofireine and even before seeing her own version of this meme, I had seen so many going around the dash that I had vaguely started thinking about which of Ejaux’s gearsets I would actually show in here.

Just like her, I will add a bit of a bio about his clothes beneath a read more :>]

1. A Fresher Dragoon: It might not be a surprise to discover that Ejaux doesn’t like showing skin. In fact, the more covered he is, the happier- However, having spent a long time coming and going into the Steppe (something that does happen when your life companion’s a Qestir), he decided that adopting something easier to walk about with (at least for the time over there) would have made his life easier. Thus the extra skin showing.

2. Sharpshooter Fancy: While he doesn’t work for the Skysteel Manufactory per se, he sometimes visits it to get his gun and sets checked. He loves the goggles too much to forsake them and considering he is not a war-going gunslinger, his clothes are mostly comfortable for open field hunting and/or training. Also, he looks fancy as hell, which counts as bonus points.

3. Everyday Noodle: He loves ponchos. They make him feel warm and safe and it’s very easy to curl up on the sofa when you’re wearing one- He loves them so much he actually made some for half the people he knows, both as a way of showing affection and as a way of thanking them.

4. City Adventuring: That is sort of a common/formal look that he would use to go around or attend events: it’s comfortable, doesn’t look flashy and is sure to make him pass by without attracting any unwanted gaze. So perfect for some serene grocery shopping in Gridania, too.

5. Working Steppe By Steppe: During his many visits to the Reunion, he got himself a full set of Kudzu clothes, as they keep him incredibly warm and aid him during his long sessions of eternal fights against ruined hems, teared off sleeves and claw cuts on his clothes.

6. Something Went Wrong: This is not what he had in mind when he ordered a comfortable and easy-to-treat gathering set to the Leatherworker guild, but alas they delivered this and he didn’t have the heart to say no.
