I was wondering why Eiji Togashi wasn't at the Saber cast reunion- though, to be fair, neither was Asuka Kawazu (Mei), and she and Shuichiro were practically joined at the hip at one point (due to being part of the same agency and actually sharing a manager, though Asuka's switched agencies now). Rina Chinen (Sophia) wasn't there either but I saw her give Shuichiro a birthday shoutout... So idk what's going on there 😂

Ichigeki review! And you almost will certainly ask, what, my dear, is an Ichigeki? Yes, I will explain:

I’m still on my little Machida Keita/Akaso Eiji rabbithole kick, simply because I cannot shake Cherry Magic from my existence, and I’ve been pretty vocal about how disappointed I’ve been in some of Machida’s more normie/cishet roles, simply because I don’t think the scripts leverage his range. (This does not quite apply to Akaso, as I think....shhhh... that Akaso is the stronger actor, and he’s had a lot better roles thrown at him more recently, including Maiagare, Ishiko to Haneo, and Hiru.) Three Star Bar in Nishi Ogikubo was actually better than Machida’s other, more recent cishet roles, as Super Rich and Teppachi really fell flat.

However, I ABSOLUTELY loved his work in 2018′s Life as a Girl, which was prior to Cherry Magic, and I think that show was a nice preemptor to showcasing the chops that he threw down, along with Akaso, in CM.

So my review of Life as a Girl touched upon how I learned about the show -- through Tumblr, obviously, as a “based on your likes” recommendation post that called Machida’s character in the show a “himbo,” and of course, that’s going to pique my interest. Really quickly, because I’ve already written about this, but Machida’s character in Life as a Girl was as a bumbling classmate to the main character, played by Shison Jun, who is in the process of transitioning to female.

Machida nailed himbo very well. Slightly physical comedy, demonstrating a range of emotions that went into and out of the bumbling, supposedly masculine role that he inhabited. He wove in and out of this structure of being the masculine man next to his classmate that was formerly a man -- he nailed that balance as a means of offering tremendous compassion and companionship to his close friend. I loved it.

So anyway, why am I bringing this all up? It’s because he was GREAT in Ichigeki.

Ichigeki (one strike/one kill) is a manga about a peasant-turned-samurai in the last year of the Edo period, 1867, who joins a group of villagers assigned to disrupt another group of samurais who are involved in warring factions with the Shogunate. NHK dramatized this manga earlier this month as an hour-and-a-half Japanese New Year’s special.

I usually just don’t do period dramas -- in part because I feel really guilty that I’m not deeply familiar with Japan or Korea’s history (although my VERY, VERY FIRST K-drama EVER was Dae Jo-young, which an ex-boyfriend got me into, l.o.l.). And as well, the previews for this New Year’s special didn’t quite give an indication into how the material would be treated -- was it going to be heavy-handed serious, an ode to past history with a sad ending, kind of dull and boring and condescendingly educational?

No -- it was SO GOOD! I’m not sure if the manga was written this way, but this special had a LOT of comedy in it. I truly did not know what to expect -- the show is led by an EXCELLENT Sometani Shota as a stout villager, dealing with his moral and ethical inhibitions regarding fighting for wealthy lords who don’t give a shit about his life or of those of his team. And Machida plays a character named Ichi (not related to the title of the show), an overconfident villager who finally finds a path out of his impoverished life by way of hopefully becoming a samurai -- all at a time where the samurai are literally about to become extinct.

The show is structured as being told by a Japanese storyteller, and again, I really don’t know that much about the tradition behind this kind of storytelling, and I wish I did -- but if there are poop jokes, badass women fighters, lots of sake, and many shirtless dudes, well, then, I’m all in, fam. It was a VERY digestible and fun watch, and I highly recommend finding and watching it. Machida was in classic himbo mode, lots of comedy and brashness, and he nailed his role hilariously. The entire cast was great. (Including this guy, Kudo Asuka, who was also in Teppachi with Machida -- and he’s a motherfucking FARMER! A farmer-actor! We need more farmer-actors.)

If you’re still in a holiday mood, go watch Ichigeki, it was really good and a nice interruption to the usual-usual. I hope Machida’s next dorama, which will be Fixer on WOWOW in the spring, allows him to expand out of himbo and give him the kind of dramatic step that Akaso has now had in a few shows himself. We shall see -- fingers crossed. Love the Cherry Magic dudes so much.

S.U.I.T.S - Terran's Hidden War

TERRAN 28 - FESTIVITES

Miyoung commented, "You appear dreadful."

"You're not being helpful," I groaned. I kept an ice pack pressed against my head as Isabel worked on healing me. “How long was I out?” “At least half an hour.” Isabel answered.

"And, how did we perform?” I groaned.

"They graded our battle report with a C," Isabel responded.

quickly got off the infirmary bed and stumbled forward. My vision almost faded to black again before Isabel caught me before I could fall and held me upright.

"Well, whatever Xaba did really drained me," I gasped for air.

“You need to sit, Kobayashi.” Isabel demanded.

“I’ll be fine.” I gasped. “Let’s go.”

I took my time leaving the medical bay as my body felt sore and there was no way to hide the pain. It took a while to leave the ship entirely. We entered Bertha's garage where Viktor was inspecting inventory before he noticed us.

"Viktor knew you would be okay," he exclaimed loudly.

"You're more cheerful than ever despite being beaten up," I groaned as I walked past him. He joined us as we left the garage and met with Charles who was waiting for us.

“Thank you for the warm welcome, Charles.” I chuckled. “But let’s not do that again.” We shook hands again.

“The Empress won’t surprise you anymore.” He chuckled. “Follow me. I assembled the others into the war room. The meeting will start as soon as you join them.” We followed him to the war room. He used the same path for a bit until he changed directions to another building adjacent to palace we entered.

We entered a beautifully designed large empty circular space where our footsteps echoed with each step we took. We were truly amazed by its design. After a few seconds, it finally registered that Xaba stood in the center of the room and next to her were Bayu and Nala, but it took a bit longer to notice that there were others sitting on the circular terraced three-level staircase nearby.

Someone caught my attention from my peripheral vision and took a glance at the figure. It took a couple minutes to realize it was Sho waving at me and next to him were Nanako, Hideki Andrew, and Kumiko waving at me. It wasn’t just them but also Aikawa Eiji was invited by Noxolo. Not only that but sitting next to Kumiko was Asuka giving me a subtle smiling wave. We quickly joined them in the empty seats. My teammates introduced themselves to my friends while I quickly sat next to Asuka.

Kumiko teased, “The boyfriend isn't afraid to show that he misses his girlfriend.”

“Leave him alone, Kumiko,” Asuka whispered. I noticed her blushing as she wrapped her arm around mine. She also teased with a smile, “I'm not afraid of what I have.”

Taking a moment to look around the room, I noticed familiar faces from my mission around the world. Nehir was sitting next to Koh Tan alongside Jade DuPont and Anita Patel while there were also new faces I hadn't met yet. Counting up to a thousand SUITs agents filling the seats in the war room made it clear that this was a serious situation if Xaba had called for reinforcements. The agents present were veteran fighters who had lived for thousands of years, alongside a small group of newcomers who had joined twenty years ago.

Charles joined Bayu and Nala at the center of the room, positioning himself behind Xaba but facing in the opposite direction. Bayu and Nala took a few steps to the side from the center, now facing the audience. Meanwhile, Xaba stepped forward from the center and turned towards the audience. As if on cue, the doors closed, windows shut tightly, and lights dimmed. The surrounding conversations abruptly ceased as a bright light illuminated from the ground at the central spot.

Xaba spoke confidently, "I appreciate your acceptance of my invitations, SUITS Agents." Her voice echoed throughout the war room. "I had sent out invitations to specific agents and received a greater response than expected." She surveyed the war room as she continued speaking. "Agent Nehir and Jade DuPont, I want to express my gratitude for your dedication to the SUITs Organization and for being allies to United Africa."

Jade stood up. "I have discussed your current situation with Blackstone CEO, Gaston. We are currently deploying half of our units to the front line in U.A. It may not be a large number, Noxolo but it's better than nothing.”

Nehir added. “I’m not the one to talk as I am not the oldest member of SUITs in this room but we have your support. SUITs will honor your words and have another million units at your disposable and another million units reserved.

Xaba eagerly responded, "I am more than willing to receive additional assistance on the front line. I also want to extend my thanks to Issei Kobayashi, Asuka Shigihara, and Kumiko Kobo's teams for accepting my invitation. You may be wondering why a group of young agents is here amongst the veteran agents."

Asuka and Kumiko exchanged whispers. I muttered along with them, "I definitely am.”

Xaba continued speaking. "Your teams caught my interest during your campaigns, especially Mr. Kobayashi. Although I am occupied with domestic problems, I still keep up with what is happening in the SUITs Organization despite being independent from them. I hope you and your teammates are feeling well after our recent encounter.”

I spoke clearly. “Thank you for the unexpected introduction, Empress Xaba.” I cleared my throat.“We are still relatively new to SUITs Organization and we seek experience and guidance from our veteran Agents as well as from XABA SECURITAS.”

With clarity in my voice, I responded respectfully: "Thank you for the unexpected introduction Empress Xaba." Clearing my throat slightly before continuing: "We are still relatively new within the SUITs Organization and we greatly appreciate gaining experience and guidance from veteran agents like yourself and Xaba SECURITAS."

"Please call me Noxolo, just like Jade does," Xaba interjected with a softer tone compared to before. She chuckled warmly, emphasizing equality within the organization. "The title Empress is given by the citizens of U.A."

She then shifted the focus back to the situation at hand, her tone returning to its previous state. "Now that introductions are complete, let's discuss the current situation. Admiral Charles Miller?” "Thank you, Empress," Charles said. "A few weeks ago, we intercepted an encrypted message sent by 'The Superior Old One' of North Sovereign Africa to their ally." Charles played the audio, and as he did, a figure of the Superior Old One emerged from the glowing ring in the center.

As the audio played, two more figures emerged from another glowing ring. I quickly recognized Zaporg standing beside one of them. The Superior Old One spoke, saying, "Greetings, General Viphons. Zaporg has lost his fleet during his mission on Earth, and he is urgently requesting reinforcements from you. I am also requesting a portion of your fleet to come to my location to suppress the increasing threat from the South. I will ensure that Zolxi is satisfied with controlling this insignificant planet." The audio ended at that point.

"Standing before you is Altus Xaba, 'The Superior Old One' of North Sovereign Africa, and the so-called 'God King, Tefari Xaba, of the region that borders United South Africa," Charles explained. "General Viphons, as most of you now know, is known as Jack of Spades, and Zolxi, using his Earth name Durante Russo, is known as Ace of Spades and is the leader of Deck of 52."

"The God King Tefari Xaba's message was approved when we intercepted it a week ago," Charles continued. “It’s believed that General Viphons is sending 10 warships to his location under General Stakil’s leadership, Viphon’s 10th in command. It is predicted that Tefari Saba will have five million reinforcements with his one million loyalist in the front line. We have less than 48 hours until they arrive.” The figures disappeared, and the room suddenly became more vibrant as it unveiled a colossal wall and active troop movements.

"Allow me to clarify what you are witnessing at this moment," Charles stated. "The wall before you is a real-time representation of an immense structure spanning from the west to the east, encompassing the entire stretch between the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean." He highlighted that it provided comprehensive details about the front line and weaponry positioned atop it. Continuing his explanation, Charles added, "Presently, we have one million active troops, hundreds of thousands of personnel vehicles and aircraft, with many more being added to our front line. We have three million reserves on the ready. Additionally, we are receiving reinforcements from Blackstone, as well as half a million regular SUITS joining our forces. Despite these increased numbers, we recognize that our forces are thinly spread; nevertheless, we will exert every effort to suppress any invasion that Empress Xaba envisioned for the Unified Nation.”

Charles continued, ”While it is true that we possess superior weaponry thanks to SUITS Organization, it's important not to overlook Tefari Xaba's utilization of technology that is on par with SUITS technology. This is precisely why unifying Africa under Empress Xaba has been progressing slowly.”

“My brother wants to overwhelm us in this war 3 to 1. Then it is an even fight!” Empress Xaba passionately interjected her thoughts by stating. “I have witnessed Africa being divided for centuries by powerful countries and alien threats; thus I am determined to unite it by countering my older brothers' ideologies and their corrupt nature. The global media has labeled me as an Immortal Witch and ridiculed my ideas out of fear for my ambition. My brothers attempted to assassinate me under false claims that I am a blood-sucking witch queen in the South. The Northern African citizens have been indoctrinated with beliefs that I will harm them if imprisoned because they do not know my true nature - which is one of peaceful amalgamation for Africa. I shall persist in my vision until Africa stands united as one.”

Charles, Nala, and Bayu clapped their boots together in perfect unison while pressing their fists onto their chests. Their voices echoed throughout the room. "Empress Xaba Maxim is the embodiment of a Unified Free Africa. XABA SECURITAS Maxim is here to protect the Empress and uphold her values!" Despite only being three individuals speaking in unison, their words were powerful enough to send shivers down my spine. I watched as SUITS Agents clap their shoes together and pressed their fists onto their chest, showing respect for Xaba's values. It was shivering, as they were also unified boot clapped echoed in the room. Asuka and Kumiko followed the same and I followed right after.

I watched the footage of Zaporg and Mio escaping Hawaii before they completely went off the grid. They reappeared at the North African border a week later and sought help from General Viphons, with assistance from Tefari Xaba. This made it difficult to trace them using SUITs technology, as they were granted asylum.

I was at the bar watching the footage, I was joined by Nehir Dogan, Aikawa Eiji, my teammates, and my high school friends—Hideki, Andrew, and Sho. Viktor was not with us at the bar; instead, he was engaging in an arm wrestling match with Ingrid Hoffman and participating in a beer drinking contest at a corner table. Ren and Amy were spectators closely watching them. Unfortunately, Viktor seemed to be losing every match. I hope he does not suffer from alcohol poisoning.

While at the bar, I happened to notice the news on the TV hanging on the wall. It was broadcasting Noxolo's speech, but I noticed a global news station playing in the corner as well. Unexpectedly, a reptilian creature with mechanical four legs emerged from behind and joined us behind the bar. This surprised both me and my friends.

"You're not dreaming, Kobayashi," Nehir said reassuringly. "His name is Rax, and he hails from Cotorus, the homeland."

"What?" Rax growled, incredulous. "Have you never come across a crocodile walking on all fours and talking?" He chuckled. “What would the water sacks desire?"

"The finest drink in the Milky Way galaxy, Rax," Nehir replied. Aikawa and I expressed the same preference.

"Coming right up, Rax special!" Rax laughed amusingly as he departed.

“Don’t worry, Rax is always like this.” Nehir spoke.

I noticed Miyoung and Isabel left, I asked , “Where are you going?”w

"We need to freshen up," Isabel replied. "The Gala is in a couple of hours, and us ladies need to look our best.”

"Is that why the guys are all dressed up in formal attire?" I wondered.

"You're too fixated on the current situation," Sho said jokingly as he wrapped his arm around my neck. "Empress Xaba not only invited us to our impending doom but also treated us to wine and dine before sending us off to our death." Sho chuckled.

"That's not exactly the best way to describe it," I sighed.

"Plus," Isabel interrupted with a teasing tone. "I want Miyoung looking gorgeous for her lady crushes."

Miyoung stuttered as she was pushed out of the door. "They are just my long time friends!”

Isabel gazed directly at me and playfully remarked, "Don't fret, Kobayashi; Asuka has something extraordinary in store for you." She gave me a wink and then departed from the bar followed by Amy.

Sho taunted, saying, "The boyfriend hasn't laid eyes on his girlfriend in months and is probably having some naughty thoughts. Oh boy, what surprise awaits you at the Gala." He chuckled mischievously.

Hideki forcefully reached over and grabbed Sho off of me, his tone stern. "Sho, refrain from prying into his personal life," he scolded. They then proceeded to walk away and joined Viktor and Ingrid in the corner.

"Young love," Nehir chuckled, sipping his drink. "Relax, Kobayashi, or Asuka will sense your emotions from miles away." Nehir teased playfully.

"You're not making it any easier." I took a moment to calm my racing heart.

"Kobayashi, your report looks outstanding," Jade entered the bar, fascinated by my dossier. She scrolled through a list of achievements my team had accomplished in the past couple of months. "Since the last time we met, I have noticed that you have become more confident and display leadership qualities."

"I'm not entirely convinced," I replied, taking a bite of the snack I had ordered.

"Nonsense, Zion Aurelien, you should be proud of your accomplishments," Jade insisted. I stared at her in confusion. "Or, as everyone on Terra commonly knows him, Shiro Watoga. Despite his human-like appearance, his species shares a close resemblance to our gene pool. They are akin to our ancient ancestors, although delving into the specifics would take a lengthy process. One thing I can share with you is that Zion's planet has yet to be charted in Earth's Observable Universe."

Nehir redirected the conversation, stating, "In any case, we are running late for the party. I'm not particularly fond of galas, but it's crucial that we attend this special event to avoid upsetting Empress Xaba."

Jade interrupted and corrected him, explaining, "Actually, this is an important occasion for the younger generation."

Rax returned with three uniquely crafted drinks that appeared extraordinary. I noticed two glass waters next to me and Aikawa. Without hesitation, Nehir took one of the drinks and consumed it all, emitting a satisfied gasp. "It has been quite some time since I last had this, back in Xeanides. How is your brother, Xas, doing?"

"That fool is doing exceptionally well with his tavern, despite causing significant trouble with the local authorities, our enemies, and even our friends," Rax chuckled. He glanced at us with a wicked grin. "Kids, try the drink before it loses its freshness. You won't regret it." He laughed.

Aikawa and I exchanged nervous glances before reaching for our beverages. Carefully, we clinked our glasses together before gathering the courage to consume the mixture. However, we immediately regurgitated the drink and desperately reached for glasses of water to cleanse our palates. Rax found amusement in our reactions, laughing as he remarked, "That's exactly how Nehir reacted when he tasted Rax's best brew!" He continued chuckling, taunting, "You'll grow accustomed to it eventually!" With that, he strolled away, his laughter echoing from the depths of the kitchen.

We stepped through the palace gate and found ourselves in a vibrant and brilliantly lit courtyard of Xaba's palace. The atmosphere was electric, exuding an air of sophistication that felt far beyond our usual experiences. Despite wearing an outfit that made me feel like a million dollars, I couldn't shake the feeling of being out of place. I observed stringent security positioned strategically throughout the area and on the rooftop of Xaba’s palace.

We ascended the stairs and found ourselves in the atrium of the palace, which mirrored the grandeur and sophistication of the courtyard. I couldn't help but notice SUITs agents seamlessly mingling with both locals and staff members. Nehir and Jade diverted from our group and joined another as they were warmly welcomed with glasses of wine by the staff.

We were instructed to wait at the staircase in the center of the atrium as more guests poured into the palace from the courtyard. I gestured to some SUITs members whom I recognized from my journey. From its marble floor panels to its enormous glass chandelier overhead, it felt as if I was intruding upon someone's privacy. I glanced at Sho when he suddenly gasped audibly. He wasn’t the only one, Aikawa had that look in his face. Following their gaze, I noticed a group of beautifully dressed ladies descending down the staircase.

Asuka immediately caught my attention among the crowd, with her sleeveless and strapless dress that confidently showcased her bare cleavage and toned stomach. My heart raced as she exuded extravagance in her outfit, complemented by charming accessories that accentuated her stunning appearance. It had been almost two years since our last encounter, and her sheer beauty left me speechless. Her hair was elegantly tied up in a bun with a stylish hair tie.

However, my focus was abruptly diverted when Nanako walked past me. "We're looking quite extravagant ourselves, Kobayashi," she casually remarked.

Just then, Kumiko approached and whispered to me, "Your infatuation is quite evident, Kobayashi. You're practically drooling." As she came into view and bashfully covered her stomach with her arm, startled by Kumiko's comment, I instinctively wiped the saliva off my lips. In a playful manner, she took a step back and added teasingly,"I enjoy teasing you," sticking out her tongue before walking away.

Miyoung linked arms with Isabel and enthusiastically joined in the revelry, adopting a taunting tone. She exclaimed loudly, "Oh Mr. Kobayashi! I could genuinely sense your nervous excitement all the way from our room." Impersonating the popular teenage girls from TV shows, Isabel and Miyoung giggled and directed their fingers towards me, making every effort to disconcert me, before they sauntered past. Aikawa playfully nudged me and strolled away, leaving me in solitude.

"Don't be shy," Asuka giggled mischievously.

Feeling my face turning red with embarrassment, I nervously glanced down at the floor. Suddenly, I heard someone calling my name - it was Asuka’s voice. Her dress heels came into view as she repeated my name again softly this time. Unable to bear looking at her directly in the face, I noticed a change in tone as if we had known each other for a long time. Her voice became gentle and warm as she called me by my first name: "Issei?" In response to hearing this familiar address from her lips, I slowly looked up.

First came into view was the exquisite sight of her beautiful sleeveless strapless dress before revealing her captivating smile on her face. Our eyes immediately locked onto each other, and for a brief moment, everything else around me faded away as I focused solely on her.

She glanced away briefly before speaking again: "Issei, you're embarrassing me too." Once more locking eyes with me she added softly: "But I don't mind, because you're mine." My heartbeat raced even faster than before.

“We get it, Kobayashi.” Nanako abruptly spoke. “You don’t have to show it off.”

“Ya’ll ain’t helping.” I stuttered nervously, looking away from Asuka.

They paid no attention as they walked away towards the throne room, leaving me with Asuka near the stairs. I cleared my throat and mustered up the courage to speak again.

"I must say, you look absolutely stunning," I managed to stammer out.

Asuka giggled, took a step forward, and wrapped her arm around mine. "You're cute when you're nervous."

"I haven't seen you in person for almost two years," I nervously admitted. "What am I supposed to do?"

"Stay by my side tonight, Issei. Can you agree with that?" She asked me. I eagerly agreed. "Good, now let's join the others."

With our arms locked together, we walked towards the throne room making small talk along the way until we noticed Nanako and Kumiko standing near the entrance door instead of inside the throne room. We joined them.

"You two done flirting?" Nanako asked mockingly. "I liked it better before you guys started dating."

"They were flirting even before then," Kumiko added with a teasing smile.

"Guys, let's not do this here," I pleaded with them.

“No, I would like to hear more.” Asuka smiled. “This is the only time I can boast about this.”

We followed them into the extravagant throne room where everyone had gathered. We stood out among them all but didn't mind as we grabbed some finger snacks and champagne while chatting away as if we hadn't seen each other since high school ended years ago. Sho and Hideki joined us shortly after, allowing us to catch up on each other's lives without mentioning any sensitive topics or work-related conversations – just casual updates about what we're currently doing in our everyday lives. I truly missed spending time with them all.

Suddenly, a silence fell upon the room as everyone's attention shifted towards the doorway where Noxolo Xaba made a grand entrance accompanied by her known aides, exuding an extravagant aura in her dress. I noticed two mischievous wooden creatures playfully jumping by her side. All eyes followed her confident stride as she walked towards the center of the room and took her place on a grand throne chair across from where we were standing. Along her path, she gracefully reached for a champagne glass, maintaining her regal entrance until finally settling into her majestic seat. She turned to face us, gently holding onto her glass with both hands.

"To my esteemed guests," Noxolo spoke with authority and warmth. "I want to express my deepest gratitude for accepting my invitation to what lies ahead in the coming days. But for tonight, let us celebrate our gathering with joyous events among familiar faces from our past." Our gazes briefly connected before she looked around at everyone present. "And also among new faces." Noxolo raised her champagne glass and we all followed suit. The night continued on.

She spoke warmly, "I hope you are enjoying yourselves?" The girls were immediately captivated by the two cute creatures hopping beside Noxolo.

"Thank you for the invitation, Empress.” I spoke

"Issei,"Noxolo said gently. "Call me Noxolo." She tapped her glass against mine in a toast.

"They're so cute," Asuka squealed as she squeezed one of them. "Do they have names?"

"No, but you can name them," Noxolo replied.

"In that case, I'll call this one Love because of its small cat ears," Asuka said excitedly gesturing towards one creature.

"And I'll call this one Bug because it doesn't have cat ears," Kumiko added pointing at the other creature playfully

"I hope you enjoy the festivities," Noxolo said, taking a step forward and whispering in my ear. "If you require any privacy, feel free to utilize one of the rooms." She gave me a playful wink before walking away, leaving me perplexed about her intentions.

I noticed two unexpected individuals joining our group. The first person was Amy, but the second person was a stranger whom I had never seen before. The unfamiliar face spoke, saying, "Kumi we should go and greet the others.”

“He called her Kumi?!” Asuka let out a noticeable gasp as she hovered her hands over her mouth.

"Taishi, can't you see who I'm with? I am catching up with my friends." Shyly, Kumiko responded, “And it’s Kumiko, not Kumi.” I discreetly looked at Asuka who was still in shock.

"I believe they can wait," Taishi remarked as he reached out for Kumiko's hand.

"Tai," Kumiko complained in a whisper while walking away, "this is so embarrassing." Asuka audibly gasped again. “She called him Tai” I joined Asuka in her surprise when I saw them holding hands. We watched in shock as they walked away, accompanied by Amy.

"I suppose Kumiko forgot to mention him too," Nanako sighed.

"Join us, Ito," Taishi called out.

Nanako observed, clearly annoyed, before walking away. “He calls me by my last name but casually calls her by her pet name," she remarked.

Asuka let out another gasp. “Pet name?!” She whispered excitedly.

I asked, "Did she tell you about him?”

Aikawa said, "I believe it was a few weeks after Kobayashi embarked on his mission when I coincidentally encountered them at a SUITS meeting. They appeared to be affectionate compared to when I first saw them."

Asuka exclaimed, “She has a boy toy" She added mischievously, "Perhaps I should playfully tease her later."

Aikawa discreetly nudged my arm a couple of times, hinting at something unusual. He suddenly parted from us, glancing back briefly before joining the rest of the group. I noticed the mischievous expression in his eyes before I turned around and joined the others.

Eventually, it became apparent that we were left alone in our little corner of the room. We fell silent and listened to the conversations happening around us. Even for Asuka and me, being physically alone felt a bit awkward.

She cleared her throat nervously. "Issei... how about we leave this place?" Asuka looked at me intently, locking eyes with mine. She continued shyly, "Noxolo mentioned something earlier when I was getting ready upstairs - there are private quarters we can use just for ourselves."

My heart raced as I was left speechless. She seemed equally nervous about suggesting it to me. I quickly glanced at Noxolo sitting on her grand chair talking to one of her guests. She locked eyes with me briefly and subtly raised her glass towards me before returning to their conversation. I felt a tug on my arm. Asuka moved closer to me ,she whispered softly near my ear: “Just for tonight?” She took a step back but still held onto my dress sleeve, gently tugging me towards the door.I instinctively followed her out of the throne room and into the hall.She grabbed my hand and led us across the palace where there were no guests in sight.

Asuka tugged on my arm, bringing me back to reality. Moving closer to me, she whispered softly near my ear: "Just for tonight?" After taking a step back while still holding onto my dress sleeve, she gently pulled me towards the door. Instinctively following her lead, we left the throne room and made our way through the palace where there were no guests nearby.

She entered the room without looking back, and I followed suit, closing the door behind us. The distant music had faded, leaving us in silence. It was just the two of us now, and the atmosphere felt tense and awkward. My attention was drawn to a bed in the corner.

"Asuka?" I called out softly, hoping for a response, but she maintained her silence. Slowly and delicately, she reached for the zipper at her waist, unfastening it and allowing her dress to gracefully slip off her hips and fall to the floor. Revealed were her well-defined buttocks, adorned with a captivating panty. My gaze then shifted as she grasped the zipper on her top and slowly pulled it down, effortlessly revealing a captivating strapless bra. I watched as she took off the hair tie that was holding her bun in place. Asuka delicately shook her head, causing her hair to cascade down gracefully until it reached her waist. As her hands skillfully reached for my belt, I reached behind her to unhitch the clasp of her strapless bra. She slid off my belt and discarded it while her bra descended to the ground, unveiling more of her captivating breasts. With my loose pants, Asuka delicately rested her palm on my stomach before slowly slipping her hand between my pants and underwear, all while maintaining eye contact. She whispered, giggling, "It seems you're quite mischievous down there, you naughty boy." Wearing a mischievous expression, she bit her lip and continued, "No need to worry, I can be naughty too." Asuka playfully winked at me before withdrawing her hand.

Asuka firmly gripped my hand and led me towards the bed, stopping right in front of it. Her captivating eyes continue to lock onto mine as she gracefully settled on the bed, pulling me down beside her. Vulnerably lying there, she exposed her delicate body while I positioned myself on top. She embraced me by wrapping her arm around my neck and pulling me closer. "Ever since that night in your room during the competition," she softly murmured into my ear with a seductive tone, placing kisses on my neck. "I have yearned for this moment." Ahhh I can’t ever wake up for this dream, I’m pretty sure was a song that I sang on the first broadcast of New Nogizaka Star Tnajou. I had only just debuted and at that time that was the first time I had appeared on tv.

We wore this cute outfit, and sang while dancing… and watching myself in the screen I thought to my self “is being an idol really just a dream?”

I barely made it into the auditions for a group that I longed to join, Nogizaka46. It was then that my dream started and since then I’ve been unable to wake up from it.

To be able to be doing a lot of magazine shoots is something that most idols aim for. I don’t know anything about this line of work, but since joining Nogizaka as an idol I’ve come to know the world and the jobs that come with being an idol.

Appearing on TV, being published in magazines, radio, SNS and stream about myself…

It’s amazing.

I’m still a million miles away from reaching my senior members, and I don’t even feel like I’m close to reaching the other 5th generation members. They’re overflowing with talent, they’re cute and on top of that they’re hard workers. No matter how much effort I put in it’s still very difficult to catch up to them.

New Nogizaka Star Tanjou! LIVE in Kobe, I was asked to do the vocals for JUDY AND MARY and YUKI-sa’'s ‘JOY’. Ever since it was decided that I would be performing this song I was very worried, happy, delighted and pained.

For me this is an important song. Deep inside, I feel like I did the best that I could at the level I’m currently at and I gave it my all.

I hope you were able to smile and enjoy my final song that I will be singing this year.

The day I met Ito Marika-san

The other day I went to Ito Marika-san’s solo exhibition “MARIKA ITO LIKEA EXHIBITION LIKEA” 🎧✂️

The second I entered the appearance of the world was so powerful and the level of perfection really charmed me.

It was so bright, on top of that the control of the colors and images and together with the still images and her expression were amazing.

Ito-san’s individual PV and the art she did while being a member even before I joined is something I really looked up to.

After joining, I drew self portraits, and because I liked looking at it I listened to a lot of Ito-san’s stories.

And I’m so glad that I was able to go see this solo-exhibition!

I haven’t seen her since the 10th YEAR BIRTHDAY LIVE, and this is the first time I’ve talked to her, she was so kind, and on top of that she’s like so absolutely downright beautiful ( ᵒ̴̷͈ωᵒ̴̶̷͈ )✨️

Each page of the illustrated book had a different aura to it, thank you for kindly welcoming me.

I’ve been to many exhibitions for people that I know, but it’s been a long time since I’ve been swallowed up by such powerful repesenations. Having that sensation was really nostalgic!

Ever since becoming an idol this world is something that I forgot about, which one is really my true reality? Where are my dreams? I became kind of lost

(For me they’re both important and amazing things in my life)

But, when I don’t know something, other people pull my hand and I know they’ll bring me down the right path.

ON the way home from Shibuya Parco, I went by Oslwald Ito-san’s regular Chinese restaurant

There were so many people there I couldn’t get in, it looks so good though ( ´ ཫ ` )slurp

ONe day a fan asked Ito-san about Ikeda while eating
