What is the worst book you've ever read (can be any genre)?
Here's what I wrote on March 1, 2015 about this piece of crap:
If you have some time and wish to take some sort of action to protest falsehoods and outright lies and tabloid "journalism", go down to your local bookstores and take every copy of Edward Klein's Blood Feud: The Clintons vs. The Obamas that you can find and place them in the fiction section.
This book is 300 pages of fabricated quotes from unnamed sources, and I recognize that Edward Klein has no shame, so he doesn't care what he writes or what I say about it, but Regnery Publishing ought to have at least a handful of standards. The shameful thing is that, by publishing a book like this, Regnery discredits -- by association -- all of the other serious, talented, and worthy authors who also have released books under their banner. Chris DeRose had his book Founding Rivals: Madison vs. Monroe, the Bill of Rights and the Election That Saved a Nation published by Regnery and it is a fantastic book. DeRose is a talented author, a real historian, and a true journalist, and he doesn't deserve to have his legitimate, important, deeply-researched, wonderfully-written work tainted by being released by the same publisher who also releases blatant lies and cowardly fiction like Edward Klein's book.
This isn't the first time Klein has written a patently untrue "book" filled with fictitious quotes that are all attributed to -- naturally -- unnamed sources or "anonymous insiders". In fact, if you do a Google search for "Edward Klein", the first page of results includes articles about how despicable he is. Not enough of those articles also place blame squarely on his publisher, even though Regnery also published the package of lies that came out directly before Blood Feud. And this isn't a political thing, either. If you check out the articles that delve into Klein's bullshit, you'll find that much of the criticism is from Conservatives, including Sean Hannity, Fox News, Rush Limbaugh (!), and other Conservative sources that also find his lies to be ridiculous. If you write a book bashing the Obamas and the Clintons, you really have to be terrible and discredited if the articles feature headlines like Even Fox & Friends Doesn't Buy Ed Klein's Latest "Bombshell" (UPDATE: Limbaugh Is Skeptical, Too)
Again, the publisher deserves a big segment of the blame, as well. Edward Klein should be throwing his bullshit at the wall and screaming at clouds, but Regnery Publishing believes that he's worthy enough to have his outright lies published and sold, as if he was on the same level as the legitimate historians and writers that they also publish.
Since Regnery Publishing wants to treat Edward Klein like a real writer and Blood Feud like a real book, I guess I'll go ahead and officially review it. So, here is my very official review of Edward Klein's Blood Feud:
Blood Feud: The Clintons vs. The Obamas by Edward Klein (Regnery Publishing, 2014) is garbage that sat out in the sun all summer. Also: it is shit. If you want to experience Blood Feud, or any of Edward Klein's writing, really, I'd suggest going to a dog park, collecting all of the crap deposited by the dogs that visit the park for a full week, putting it in one, large garbage bag, and then taking it to the city dump. Then, take that big garbage bag full of week-old dog crap, empty it on the biggest, nastiest pile of refuse that you can find at the city dump, light it on fire, dive into the flames, make up a bunch of absolutely, positively, ridiculously unbelievable lies, and then shoot yourself. There you go: Edward Klein's "journalism", but with a happier ending.
You can probably find Blood Feud at your local bookstore, but if you buy it, I'll come to your town, kick down your door, berate you for purchasing the book, make you read out-loud some of the blatant and ridiculous lies that Edward Klein attempts to pass off as direct quotations, ask you what you think about that garbage, demand to know why you gave somebody money for that garbage, put the book on the floor, rub your nose in it as if you had gone to the bathroom on the rug, force you to rip all of the pages of the book out and flush them down the toilet, berate you once again, and then put your door back on its hinges just so I could kick it down again for good measure. So...don't buy it.
P.S.: It's also worth nothing that unnamed sources told me, "Buying Edward Klein's book directly funds the work of ISIS, particularly when it comes to video editing for propaganda purposes, food and fuel, ski masks, weaponry, and executing apostates." I can't confirm any information about the person who said that or the validity of their statement, but that's how all of the quotes are presented in Klein's books, so it must be true.

[This post is a series of images from an infographic by the Slow Factory Foundation originally posted May 2021. The first image is a photo with text over it. The photo shows a massive fireball in the middle of a group of buildings, with a massive black cloud rising from the flames that is bigger than the buildings themselves. The building just behind the fireball is low, rectangular, and lit up bright orange. Behind that building, there is a city lit up at night. Hundreds of buildings stretching into the distance, a thousand glimmering lights.]
What is happening in Palestine is not complicated; it's settler colonialism & ethnic cleansing.
Debunking Misinformation around Palestine.
Myth ❌ Palestine and Israel are in "conflict."
Fact ✅ What is happening in Palestine is settler colonialism, military occupation, land theft and ethnic cleansing. A conflict means there is equal footing, which is not the case. There is an active oppressor (Israel) and an oppressed (Palestine). A colonizer (Israel) and a colonized (Palestine). This is not a conflict.
[Three images of headlines with the word 'conflict' crossed out in red ink.]
Note: According to the Congressional Research Service,
Israeli military occupation has been supported by US aid with $3.8bn a year paid for by U.S. tax dollars since 2016 for the next 10 years.
It's also supported by other colonial countries including Canada, Australia, France and Belgium.
Myth ❌ Before Israel came to Palestine, it was "just a desert" and Israel made the desert green.
Fact ✅ Before the occupation of Israel, Palestine had green, rich and lush land. In fact, Palestine respected the biodiversity of their Indigenous land: Palestinians were producing 92% of Palestine's grain, 99% of its olives and 95% of its melons to name a few.
Since Israel's occupation, biodiversity has decreased. Israel removed Indigenous plants from the land to plant European Invasive species. This phenomenon is called green colonialism, which has been discussed in depth by many, including Naomi Klein in "Let Them Drown."
Myth ❌ Sheikh Jarrah is the only neighborhood in Palestine that is in danger.
Fact ✅ Israel has been gradually stealing Palestinian land, destroying and ethnically cleansing entire Palestinian villages, violently displacing families and building illegal settlements on top them since the first Nakba ('catastrophe' in Arabic) in 1948, where almost 600 Palestinian villages were destroyed, Palestinian history erased and half the Palestinian population were expelled from their homes.
Myth (cont'd.) ❌ Sheikh Jarrah is the only neighborhood in Palestine that is in danger.
Fact ✅ Over the past few decades, the state of Israel has continued the settler colonial project, and Sheikh Jarrah is the latest and not the last neighborhood being violently threatened with dispossession, which Israel has no legal right to do.
[Images of a map showing the drastic decrease in Palestinian landmass from 1946 to 2019. In 1946, Palestine was 99% Palestinian land. In 1947, it decreased to 40%. In 1967, to 30%. And in 2019, less than 20% of Palestine is Palestinian land. The remaining areas are being encroached on by occupied Palestinian land, meaning occupied by Israelis. The rest is Israeli land.]
The mainstream media has been supporting these myths by spreading misinformation that conceal Israel's ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestine by saying it's a two-sided conflict, framing Palestinian resistance as terrorism and normalizing the state of Israel.

There are other reasons why environmentalism might have looked like a bourgeois playground to Said. The Israeli state has long coated its nation-building project in a green veneer – it was a key part of the Zionist ‘back to the land’ pioneer ethos. And in this context trees, specifically, have been among the most potent weapons of land grabbing and occupation. It’s not only the countless olive and pistachio trees that have been uprooted to make way for settlements and Israeli-only roads. It’s also the sprawling pine and eucalyptus forests that have been planted over those orchards, as well as over Palestinian villages, most notoriously by the Jewish National Fund, which, under its slogan ‘Turning the Desert Green’, boasts of having planted 250 million trees in Israel since 1901, many of them non-native to the region. In publicity materials, the JNF bills itself as just another green NGO, concerned with forest and water management, parks and recreation. It also happens to be the largest private landowner in the state of Israel, and despite a number of complicated legal challenges, it still refuses to lease or sell land to non-Jews.
...
The JNF is an extreme and recent example of what some call ‘green colonialism’. But the phenomenon is hardly new, nor is it unique to Israel. There is a long and painful history in the Americas of beautiful pieces of wilderness being turned into conservation parks – and then that designation being used to prevent Indigenous people from accessing their ancestral territories to hunt and fish, or simply to live. It has happened again and again. A contemporary version of this phenomenon is the carbon offset. Indigenous people from Brazil to Uganda are finding that some of the most aggressive land grabbing is being done by conservation organisations. A forest is suddenly rebranded a carbon offset and is put off-limits to its traditional inhabitants. As a result, the carbon offset market has created a whole new class of ‘green’ human rights abuses, with farmers and Indigenous people being physically attacked by park rangers or private security when they try to access these lands. Said’s comment about tree-huggers should be seen in this context.
...
But this only scratches the surface of what we can learn from reading Said in a warming world. He was, of course, a giant in the study of ‘othering’ – what is described in Orientalism as ‘disregarding, essentialising, denuding the humanity of another culture, people or geographical region’. And once the other has been firmly established, the ground is softened for any transgression: violent expulsion, land theft, occupation, invasion. Because the whole point of othering is that the other doesn’t have the same rights, the same humanity, as those making the distinction. What does this have to do with climate change? Perhaps everything.
We have dangerously warmed our world already, and our governments still refuse to take the actions necessary to halt the trend. There was a time when many had the right to claim ignorance. But for the past three decades, since the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change was created and climate negotiations began, this refusal to lower emissions has been accompanied with full awareness of the dangers. And this kind of recklessness would have been functionally impossible without institutional racism, even if only latent. It would have been impossible without Orientalism, without all the potent tools on offer that allow the powerful to discount the lives of the less powerful. These tools – of ranking the relative value of humans – are what allow the writing off of entire nations and ancient cultures. And they are what allowed for the digging up of all that carbon to begin with.

So much good to listen to in today’s show: Klein tries to make sense of her doppelganger and riffs about denialism, cooptation, victimhood, the rupture between words and meaning…..Burtynsky puts capitalism on a point, literally. Kopecky tries to makes some sense about who isn’t showing up, why he is, and why we should.

The Think Tank Random Headcanon List
Two people asked for this so that means it happening 👍 your welcome, most if not all of these r prewar/brain tank
-this one’s pretty supported in canon but think Dala likes fashion and dressing up🫶. I love giving her a fun little outfit
Yay
-0 had back pains pre brain tank. Also a lot of fatigue. The certified professional sleeper. When he’s working on projects in his home he tends to do it lying on the floor.
-this one’s basically canon but 8 has arithmomania. I say basically canon bc things in his house in Higgs often come in sets of 8, as well as his house being the 8th house despite there not BEING 8 houses. I think this would also extend to counting to 8 on his fingers when he’s nervous and such.
-tied in I also believe 8 has ocd. Borous has bpd.
-Dala was pretty reserved growing up, as she grew up/especially in the looped personality she became for lack of better terms “bolder and more flirty” as compensation for having been so withdrawn previously.
-I am wishy washy with a lot of gender headcanons for characters, my brain kinda just goes well idk if they’re trans but they’re not Not trans. However I do feel quite definitively that Dala is nb transfem, and Mobius and 0 are trans men.
-I think all of their names have some tie to the names they had pre recursion loop. Canonically both Klein’s name and his prewar last name start with K. I think the other’s names have similar ties.
-on that note, I think Borous’s old name (/just his family in general) has Painfully Russian origins. It makes his McCarthyism thing so hilariously ironic
-I think 8 is Canadian, but he only lived there pre annexation of Canada, he was working at big MT and living at Higgs once it happened.
-0’s old last name used to be “O’something” and people still used to call him Dr. O then and he still hated it. Doomed fate
-re: Mobius being trans, i think his first name was Edward. He named himself after Dr. Morbius from the movie The Forbidden Planet
-Klein is a big wine guy, like obvious there’s wine bottles strewn about his house, but I mean like. He’s the kind of guy to just know things about every kind of wine.
-Klein is probably the best dressed after Dala, I think he just tries to be professional for the most part. 0 thinks he’s fashionable but he isn’t. Already mentioned but Mobius dresses like an old lighthouse keeper. Cableknit sweater and the works. I think he’d also like antique pipes
I’m probably gonna alter the Klein outfit but yeah you get the idea. Doodles
-I feel SO STRONGLY ABOUT THIS. But 0 and Borous went to high school together. 0’s one line mentioning Borous in high school was just way too telling.
-Klein and Mobius need reading glasses. Dala used to need glasses, didn’t wear them throughout her childhood until like college, and then switched to contacts after college
-The think tank are all very close and got along much better prewar than they do at the time of the game. They kinda Jean-Paul Sartre No Exit’d themselves and their personalities are stuck in an endless loop. To say the least they started getting on each other’s nerves after 200 years. But this isn’t to say they didn’t still bicker or anything prewar
-8 never really liked talking much. Possibly having selective mutism. This was mostly fine for him because pre brain tank you have facial expressions and hands and hand gestures that kinda make up for not talking at times. After the brain tanks he was kind just. Forced to talk to relay information. His speech was extremely awkward and stilted, which combined with the above head canon is why Dala made that comment about how they like him better now that his voice modulator is broken.
-they all have autism of some flavor tbh. To me. In my autistic mind.
-dead animal ment.// but I feel like Borous was that kid who like poked at dead squirrels and shit as a kid. It frames the Gabe and cyberdog thing well lol
-I’m an 8/0 head so I think they worked together a lot. Even if it’s not on the same project they would just do thinks at the same time together.
-the mentats on Klein’s bedside table are Mobius’s
-0 used to be a super big fan of House and RobCo when he was in high school. Obviously that is no longer true
-0 excels at making robots that are smaller. He doesn’t want to acknowledge this though. Muggy and his walking eyes (w/ wild wasteland) are both pretty small but they work well. The larger scale securitrons he’s tried to make obviously. Do not.
-I think the lounge music theme for the radio was a collective choice, but I feel like Dala especially likes music like that.
-Klein and Mobius used to play games like chess or checkers or card games “outside” in Higgs old person style.
-post brain tank one (woah) Klein has fleeting feelings of missing someone or something he can’t recognize. Any memories tying it to an image of a person he doesn’t quite remember. His brain just doesn’t connect that it’s Mobius and he usually just pushes the feeling down whenever it happens lol
If I think of more I’ll add them.

vedic astrology observations
in my previous post, i had observed how pisces rashi and bharani nakshatra gives a native immense acting ability, here i'll provide more examples!!
the legendary indian actor, dev anand was revati moon
ewan mcgregor has UBP sun
James McAvoy has UBP mercury and venus with mars in revati
Anya Taylor-Joy has either UBP/Revati moon and most likely UBP/Revati rising she also has mars and ketu in Revati
Jessica Chastain has UBP sun with mercury and venus in Revati (amatyakaraka and atmakaraka respectively)
michael fassbender has Revati sun and venus
daniel day lewis is a bharani stellium (sun, mercury and venus)
humphrey bogart was a bharani ascendant
3 time Oscar winner, Frances McDormand is bharani moon and ketu
8 time nominee and 2 time Oscar winner, Cate Blanchett is bharani ascendant and has venus in Revati
Joaquin Phoenix, the absolute GOAT has UBP moon
Cillian Murphy has Jupiter in Bharani atmakaraka and Ketu in Bharani as well (they're conjunct)
2. expanding on my previous observation as to how many Punarvasu & Pushya women play mistresses/home wreckers or are involved in such dynamics in real life, here are a few more examples;
Revati & Rohini are two other nakshatras that crop up often
Marion Cotillard played Pablo Picasso's mistress in the movie Midnight in Paris. in real life, she was accused of having an affair with Brad Pitt when he was married to Angelina Jolie (this is a speculation). She has Pushya moon conjunct Saturn and Jupiter in Revati as her atmakaraka
Dorothy Dandridge's best known role is that of a seductress and here, in Tamango she plays the mistress of a naval captain. She was Punarvasu moon and Pushya rising
Anouk Aimee often played vamps/seductresses and in one of her most iconic roles in La Dolce Vita, she played the mistress. She has Revati mercury conjunct mars (her amatyakaraka) She was also rumoured to have had affairs with manyyy people including JFK
Carla Bruni (yes, the woman whose face Bella Hadid stole) has a very chaotic romantic life. She was in a relationship with Raphael Enthoven and was formerly his father's mistress 💀She is Punarvasu rising
Lou Andreas-Salome was a psychoanalyst, essayist and intellectual. She was muse and lover to some of the greatest European minds of her time (and all time) including Freud, Nietzsche and Rainier Maria Rilke; these men were absolutely obsessed with her and she was a major influence on their work. She has Ketu in Punarvasu
Wallis Simpson, the woman for whom King Edward abdicated his throne, thereby forever changing the course of history was still married to her second husband when she met Edward. She has Mars in Revati as her atmakaraka and Jupiter in Pushya (exalted)
Meghan Markle, the woman for whom Prince Harry left the royal family is Punarvasu rising. She has mercury conjunct rahu in Pushya
Eartha Kitt, the complete siren & seductress, who had affairs with Orson Welles, Paul Newman & James Dean and many other businessmen and heirs was a Punarvasu moon. She was a dark skinned mixed race woman who had established herself as a sex kitten in 50s & 60s America after having grown up in abject poverty; she did something that was impossible and then took it to a new extreme and became the nation's obsession
Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy was muse to Calvin Klein & Ralph Lauren and met her future husband JFK Junior when he was still dating actress Daryl Hannah (unsure if they began dating at this time). Their marriage was short lived as they both tragically passed away in a plane crash in 1999. She is remembered for her timeless style. She was Punarvasu moon.
Asia Argento played the titular mistress in the movie The Last Mistress, she has Jupiter in Revati atmakaraka and Saturn in Pushya darakaraka
3. I had previously observed how moon ruled/jupiter dominant/cancerian girlies tend to have a large chest 👀
now ill talk about what placements give men a naturally wide, broad, big, buff and bulky frame and body😌😋
men who have prominent Mars/Jupiter/Cancer placements are naturally big, buff and bulky and have wider frames 😌 another important factor is the involvement of a large yoni animal (buffalo yoni, elephant yoni & cow yoni imo)
Hasta & Swati have buffalo yoni
Revati & Bharani have elephant yoni
UBP & Uttaraphalguni have cow yoni
(others have already discussed how our yoni animal influences our appearance so i wont go into that; just know this much, the bigger the yoni animal, the bigger the guy)
i did not mention Mars in my post about voluptuous women because Mars influence gives a big, broad frame and does not really guarantee big breasts or curves (unless affected by other placements) so its very yang in nature
(obviously other placements will also impact a native's appearance and you can look like this and not have these placements as well!!)
let's start with the legend himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger. he has Pushya sun, Punarvasu stellium (mercury, venus and rising) you can say its the steroids making him look this way (im sure they were involved in his Mr World era) but the man is in his 70s and he's a tall, broad shouldered bulky guy😌so go argue with the wall
Sylvester Stallone is Punarvasu sun and Saturn in Pushya darakaraka. He has Chitra moon conjunct Jupiter
Vin Diesel is Punarvasu sun and mars in Chitra. He has Ketu conjunct Swati ascendant
Dwayne Johnson has Chitra rising with venus & mars in Mrigashira, saturn in Rohini and ketu in Pushya
Jean Claude Von Damme has Chitra sun & rising, Uttaraphalguni moon, mercury (atmakaraka) and venus in Vishaka
Steve Howey, Punarvasu sun amatyakaraka, jupiter in Mrigashira atmakaraka, ketu in Revati and mercury in Pushya

Namjoon aka Father of Kpop has Mars in Punarvasu as his amatyakaraka and tropically most likely has Moon in 1h. Anyone who has seen those tiddies knows there is an undeniable cancer influence at play 😋🤭 He has mercury in Hasta, venus & jupiter in Swati and Ketu in Bharani 😋😋

Name: Esther Park | 박별 Park Byul Geburtsdatum: 02.07. Gender: weiblich she/her Sexualität: maybe pansexuell (tbh habe ich mir darüber noch keine Gedanken gemacht.) Pairing Option: Yes.
🥀 foodie. ✨
🥀 hates coffee but loves café. Banenmilch ist toll, aber das Iced Americano? Ew.
She can't get enough of them. Dafür würde sie auch stundenlang vor einem Geschäft campen. what a loser.
🥀 writer's block. Klassischer Lit Student, i think? Egal ob novel oder short story, gerade will einfach nichts gelingen.
🥀 refuses to be the female lead. Rich CEO? She doesn't have or want to have main character energy, nicht mal second lead energy will sie lol.
🥀 act like an angel and dress like crazy.
🥀 she can beat you up, but won't.
Somehow she got a bronze medalist winner.
Can I make it anymore obvious?
🥀Persephone Themen: Tod, Blumen, Jahreszeiten, Dunkelheit, Granatäpfel. (She loves her plants, aber hat keinen grünen Daumen.)
