Note
I didn't realize it had gone through as a submission my bad 😂
Inquisition LIs reaction to hearing their Inquisitor through a door saying things like "you are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, you are a gift from the Maker, I love you, I'd die for you, etc.", thinking they're with someone else and running in, just to find out the Inq. is talking to a baby nug/Mabari pup they snuck into Skyhold?
“Romanced Companions reacting to Secret Baby Nug/Mabari Pup”
Here you go and thank you again, @queer-edmundpevensie for the ask! Also, more jokes!
When the Inquisitor asked Bull if he had a spare plug they could use, he said “Sorry, I don’t have any Chargers.” (Maybe a little sorry)
-Lord Lex
Cullen
”I- Honestly, I can’t even blame you for your choice of words. He is handsome.”
-Was split between being upset and feeling remorse. If indeed you had found someone else, you would most definitely deserve someone better than him but you could have at least told him. Pleasantly surprised to find the nug/mabari. Maker forbid if it’s a mabari because he will dote on that thing, saying how your “true love” is a very good boy.
Josephine
“Love, who are you talking to-? Oh! Aren’t they just the sweetest!”
-Didn’t doubt you for a second. She knows that if there was something wrong with you two, you’d tell her. Also, your wording was a little strange for if you were talking to someone else. Suggests on getting it a collar. You actually might be the jealous one when you find her cuddling it more than you.
Solas
“...”
-What was he expecting? Not this. But he has full fate in you to know you wouldn’t go behind his back if your feelings had changed. Honestly a little jealous of the mabari/nug. It’s actually kinda cute- wait, how did you even get it into Skyhold? Oh well. He’ll also tell you about how, in old tales, different animals used to run through Skyhold so having it here just makes sense.
If they go missing, it’s because they started following Solas around. No, he doesn’t know why.
Cassandra
“Inquisitor, I-!...How did you manage to get that here?”
-Yes, she was a little irked that you might be with someone behind her back. And yes, she does feel horrible that she’d assume the worst. She’ll admit what she was thinking was going on and apologize. Cassandra, to most people’s surprise, is a big softie when it comes to animals so her confusion and irritation is put on hold when your chosen creature looks at her with them big ol’ eyes.
The Iron Bull
“Well, Varric owes me money.”
-He knew from the beginning that you snuck it in. But hearing you talk in such a way to it did make him pause. If you two are only fooling around right now, he doesn’t mind and doesn’t care who you sleep with. Now, if you’re his kadan, might be a different story. But, again, he knew you had the creature somewhere and that certainly sounds like how you’d baby an animal. Lo and behold, he was right and Varric has less pocket gold. Also, if you don’t stop him, he’ll carry the animal around like a baby.
Dorian
“Dearest. Amatus. Love of my life. My chosen partner….What the fuck.”
-One of the only people who puts up with your shit anymore. He’ll be one of the people who is severely split. Yes, you deserve better than him, knowing his history and how he can act sometimes. But also how dare you go behind his back when he has given you his heart? He has to pause to let his heart settle after walking in on you cuddling the thing before he very irritable tells you to watch your wording.
Sera
“Alright, what the fuck! Who are you talking-? Wait, that’s not a person.”
-Fully thought it was someone else and wanted to rain hell on them. So it was a little shocking to see your door kicked open and Sera holding a jar of bees at the ready. If you choose a mabari over a nug, she’ll put the bees away and start petting it, acting like nothing happened. Now, if you choose a nug, she’ll make a disgusted face and back away. Not very fond of nugs, but fond of you.
Blackwall
“I’m gonna admit it, I thought there was someone else in here. Glad to see I was both wrong and right.”
-Same boat as Cullen, he kinda expected you to find someone else by now. Hurt his feelings a bit to know that you might have a secret admirer other than him. Does not find it funny (ok, maybe a little) if you name the beast after him. It’s even more funny to see him try to watch his step around it, especially a nug, as he would not like to step on the creature that has your affection.

Going Riding with Edmund Would Include
-
Tumblr media
AHEEM sorry it’s been awhile please don’t come for me okie?
Anyways
You and Ed had been working quite a lot and needed a break from your royal duties
Edmund invited you to go on a riding date
Not that kind of riding
Riding horses, and he wanted to take you all around Cair Paravel
He wanted to show you all his favorite places to go to, and let you enjoy the beauty of the area
So, after you were saddled up, you took the rest of the day enjoying the sunshine
And, it was quite beautiful
The perfect day, really
There was so much to see, you couldn't possibly do it in one day
Hills, beautiful, strong trees, and the ocean stretching out to nothingness
Flowers were growing, and the wind was soft and the air was balmy
You stopped for a moment on a hill to have lunch, cuddling under the big branches of the tree
Ed had taken time to prepare this entire lunch for you, and it was quite delicious
He had made sandwiches and packed fruit and cheese, and a small bottle of wine
Edmund gave you soft kisses here and there, and the way he looked at your made your heart want to melt
You wanted to stay in this moment forever, if possible
You spent time guessing cold shapes and relaxing under the sun, letting it warm you from your toes up
You waited there, letting your horses graze, until the sun began to set
The hill gave you a perfect view of the sun over the water- the ocean seemed like it was on fire
It cast orange and pink colors around the sky, and Edmund gave you a huge kiss as it finally slipped below the horizon
But soon, you had to return to the castle
Ed helped you up and onto your horse, and you both raced back to the castle
Whoever lost had to pull a prank on Peter, who had been quite grumpy lately
Your stallion, however, was much faster- leaving Edmund in the dirt and cursing your name
“Have fun with Pete, Ed,” you said with a sly smile
Grumbling, he gave you a quick peck on the forehead before heading off to antagonize Peter.

Here are some random thoughts of mine about Pevensies and Golden Age (Part III):
• Queen Lucy peels fruits with her dagger.
• Most of the Queen Susan's dresses have low backs because she doesn't like it when her dresses stop her movements.
• High King Peter breaks so many things in Cair Paravel because he thinks he can fix things without getting help and sometimes it ends up with accidents. One time while he was trying to fix the chandelier, it fell down from the ceiling and there were glasses everywhere in the ballroom. Queen Susan was really mad.
• Queen Lucy and King Edmund are excellent farmers and they grow delicious fruits and vegetables. They have huge garden that only belongs to them and they spend time together there for hours.
• They still visit Mr. and Mrs. Beaver and have dinner with hem. It is now very hard for them to fit in but they still eat with the beavers. They talk for hours, share memories, have fun and laugh. Kings and Queens feel free and childish when they are with the beavers.
• Narnians living in Cair Paravel sometimes see men leaving King Edmund's room.
• And female fairies leaving Queen Susan's room.
• High King Peter trains baby centaurs sometimes. Because he gets on with babies/children very well, baby centaurs love him. He teaches them how to use a sword. When they duel, he tests their limits but always loses on purpose.
• King Edmund is loved by forest fairies. The fairies think King is respectful and so lovely. They offer him their special food, they give him flowers, they teach him their magic. King loves them too. He always listens to them, solves their problems, and protects them.
• No one can dance in the way Queen Lucy does. When she dances, the ground that her bare feet touch glows. It is hard to see what she is doing because sometimes she can dance so fast. But it is impossible not to look at her when she dances. From time to time, her hair colour changes while she is dancing.
• Queen Susan adores baby animals and she spends time with them. When a baby is born, she visits the family and brings so many gifts for the baby.
• Speaking of the gifts, Queen Susan is actually very generous to everyone and is an excellent gift giver. She always find what you exactly need or wish to have.
• All of the water fairies watch when High King Peter swims. Well, the reason is not hard to tell.
• Queen Lucy throws tea parties for satrys. Sometimes her siblings join them too. She herself prepares the food for the parties.
• Kings and Queens eat too much. Their bodies change and grow, therefore they are always hungry. Narnians are surprised while watching them eat. They eat so fast and too much. Their favorite foods are pie and anything that involves potato.
• Queen Susan has natural solutions to every kind of physical problem. You have an acne? Here, take this cream that she's just made. Your skin is dry or oily? Here, she has another cream for that too. There is a wound on your arm that is itchy? Don't worry, Queen is here.
• They exhange their crowns. Queen Lucy mostly takes High King's crown. King Edmund wears Queen Susan's. Queen Susan wears her sister's and High King takes King Edmund's. They like it when people are confused when they see the youngest wearing the biggest crown.
hope you like it! please tell me what you think. ♡
requests are open.
love, andrea. ♡

The Speech
1k words - Gay! Edmund Pevensie  x Male! MLM! reader
There was always something different about Edmund Pevensie. The dark haired boy who moved to the city a few years ago. You couldn't say for sure much about his past, but he was very close to his three siblings. You knew him fairly well, you two had chemistry together, but you were much closer to his sister, Lucy. Aside from chemistry, you were in the speech and debate club, which you participated in the speech part of, with Edmund much more into the debate part. You were also part of GSA, but he never came, which was expected.
"Keep up y/n" - yelled Lucy. You two were doing the mile run, and you had slowed your pace. “I hate having to do this!” you yelled back. Lucy laughed and slowed her pace so that you could catch up to her. About two minutes later you finished just a second after her. “Good job you two!” your p.e. coach shouted at you two.
As you drank from your water bottle, you heard one of your classmates say something about “that english kid’’ You figured they were referencing Peter, the more popular of the two boys, until you heard something else. “I heard he broke up with that girl, the blonde, and she doesn’t know why” which startled you. Edmund had been with that girl for a least a few months now, and it had seemed to be going well. “Oh well” you thought, he’s probably too busy with school or something like that. That's what he always told Lucy whenever you and her tried to hang out with him.
The period ended about 10 minutes later, and you headed to Chemistry. You took your usual spot next to your childhood best friend. “Did you know that Ed broke up with his girlfriend?” you casually asked. “Yeah, half the school knows, and that girl started a rumor that he is gay” they responed while rolling their eyes. This shocked you. A bunch of thoughts ran through your head “That's not true, is it?'' you responded. They were going to say something, but then the bell rang.
“Good afternoon class, today we will be doing a lab.” your teacher announced, and everyone groaned, including Edmund. You looked at your childhood best friend, and immediately realized they were looking at their crush. They looked back at you and asked “Do you mind y/n if I, um…”, which you responded with ‘Oh yeah go ahead”. They headed over to the table their crush was sitting at.
The relaxation hit you a moment later, you didn’t have a partener. “Hey” said a voice coming from behind you. You spun around, and realized who it was: Edmund. “Do you need a partner?” he asked in his usual confident tone. You responded relieved “Yes, thank you for coming to my rescue.” You two headed over to grab goggles, then started to heat the solution up.
As the experiment progressed, mixing and measuring solutions, Edmund only spoke when necessary and when talked to, which was incredibly frustrating. “Why did you break up with her?” you asked, and was answered with “Why do you want to know?” in a tone that almost seemed as if he was nervous. Almost immediately, you started to blush, but when you went to respond he cut you off with “We need to finish this lab”. You both finished and cleaned up the lab in silence, and went your separate ways to do the lab conclusion and write-up.
You spent the rest of the day thinking about Edmund, his response, and the rumor. Could he be gay? Maybe it was just a rumor, you kept thinking, but when you thought of the possibility of it being true, you felt weird about it, almost happy.
Lucy texted you after school ended “you want to go to a movie?” You replied with “sure, meet up at your place after speech and debate.” Then something hit you like a bus. Edmund was going to be there, and you were going to practice your informational speech on the Stonewall Riots. What a perfect topic for the current situation. Then you got a text, from Edmund of all people - “do you want to practice at my house?”, which was odd, you two never spent time together outside of school related things or group gatherings that Lucy had invited you to. “Sure” you responded, wondering why.
When you arrived at the Pevensie’s home, you noticed that all the cars were gone. You thought at least Peter and Susan would be home. You also noticed Lucy’s bike was not there. “She’s at play rehearsal of course” you muttered to yourself. You rang the doorbell, and a few seconds later he opened the door.
“... and none of the modern LGBTQ+ movements would have been possible without the throwing of a brick, the match of the fire for rights'' you finished strongly. You were hanging out in the living room, and as soon as you ended your speech, Edmund started to give feedback, most of it positive, but a few points to work on. The next thing that came out of his mouth surprised you “I thought it represented how it had benefited people like me well.” Then he paused. “ I mean the community” he stammered out, but you’d already realized what he meant.
“You are gay.” you said in a shocked tone. “Well I mean that's great! I guess we have more in common than I thought”, but when you met eyes with him you saw the same fear you felt the first time you came out. When he stood up and approached you, you expected a thank you, maybe even a hug, but when he kissed you, you were shocked. He kissed softly, and it lasted a few seconds. He backed off, and seemed to study your reaction. “I’m sorry I shouldn’t have done th-” but you interrupted him with a kiss. Maybe someone would be joining you tonight for the movie with Lucy.

Somebody To Love | Peter Pevensie
Tumblr media
Warnings: some mature language
Pairing: High King Peter x Princess Reader
Time: Golden Age Narnia
Summary: Being a Princess from Calormen doesn't necessarily mean you act like a lady. But you yearn for somebody despite that and at the ball Queen Susan set up for your twentieth birthday, you found that somebody. Except it was someone you didn't expect.
ººººº
"Your Highness, please get down from there before you fall." Your Lady-In-Waiting, Rosa, called from below you.
You gave her a laugh. "Oh, come on, Rosa. Where's your sense of adventure?"
"Down here with me on the ground, where you should be." Rosa huffed as she slipped her slippers from her feet and began to climb the tall evergreen tree you were sitting in. "Your Highness, if your parents were here, you would get a good scolding for this."
"Well, I guess it's a good thing they're not then. Besides I don't need them to scold me because Susan will do it for them." You replied as you gave her a childish grin when she sat beside you.
"Your Grace, we really must get down from here. Queen Lucy is looking for you with King Edmund." Rosa breathed as she clung to the tree. The poor girl hated heights. "Your birthday guests are waiting for your appearance."
You sighed as you looked below you. Your slippers were beside the tree trunk, nestled in a knot in the roots protruding from the dirt. You then looked at your feet and how dirty they became from being barefoot.
"Oh, alright." You were reluctant about it, but you began to climb down the tree. As you did so, you made sure that Rosa was alright. Allowing her to stay right above you, in case she fell you'd be the one to break her fall.
It didn't take more than a minute or two to be safely on the ground. You helped Rosa down the rest of the way before you gave her her slippers. Rosa smoothed out her skirts after she slipped them on her feet. She combed the leaves from her hair and turned to you with her hands on her hips.
You glanced up as you grabbed your slippers. "What are you looking at me like that for?"
"Y/N, how on Earth do you expect to find a husband when you behave like a boy?" Rosa pursed her lips as she glared at you.
You were going to give her a snide reply in return until you heard the sound of Lucy dashing towards you. "Y/N! Oh, we've been looking everywhere for you."
"I told you to check the trees, Lu." Edmund said as he appeared close behind his younger sister.
You rolled your eyes before you stuck your tongue out. "Very funny, Edmund."
"Oh, Y/N, you are covered in dirt." Lucy reprimanded. "You need to go take a bath before the ball. Come on."
Edmund shook his head as he let Lucy drag you back into the castle. "Lucy, leave Y/N alone. Let her have her fun. She's turning twenty."
Rosa laughed as she watched Lucy pull you around. "She does love her childish endeavors."
"If you want to mock me for climbing trees, then from now on I'll laugh at you when you try to sing when you bathe, Rosa." You shot back. Not from anger, but to pick fun at her in return.
"At least I can sing." She shot back in kind.
"I prefer sparring with Edmund and Peter," You'd be damned if Rosa kept it up. "I don't like girlish things, big deal."
"Then don't expect to be married anytime soon, Your Grace." Rosa bowed to the three of you and turned on her heels to inform Susan of your return. Plans had been made and Susan was a stickler about keeping things as agreed. No matter how much you didn't like being at most of them. Council meetings, festivals, balls (sometimes masquerades), even holidays. But you were a people pleaser so you always went anyway.
Lucy and Edmund were stunned at the words that they heard. And even more stunned that you didn't reply. You always had a comeback.
Lucy saw it then. The way you stared at your hands and nails. Lucy watched as she led you to your chambers, she saw the way you dug the dirt out of your nails and then the way you rubbed your hands together, letting dirt particles fall to the floor.
Lucy swallowed thickly before she carefully placed a hand on your own. "Don't listen to her, Y/N. You'll be married one day, I know you will. Even if you don't think so."
You hummed in response and looked at the two Pevensies through the reflection of your vanity's looking glass. "Oh, please, don't feed me that, Lucy. I grew up around boys and now I can barely go five minutes without getting filthy like one. I was sent to Cair Parvelle for your sister to make me a lady." You looked away from your reflection. "What's the point?"
Edmund noticed what Lucy had then. He saw the way you rubbed dirt off your face and pulled leaves out of your tangled hair. He watched you in the mirror and saw just how much Rosa's words stung. Then he felt anger bubble up in his chest, you and Rosa may not think it, but he'd be honored to marry you. Despite your tendency to run around barefoot, roll down hills, and climb trees. He liked that stuff too.
So did Peter.
And Peter was standing beside the open oak door, listening. And he watched from around the door jamb as Lucy combed out your hair. Edmund took the leaves and threw them over your balcony.
Peter didn't believe his ears. How could you ever think you wouldn't get married? Despite your unladylike adventures outside the castle walls, you were someone truly remarkable. You could do anything he could do, but still act like a lady. And maybe you didn't notice that, but he did.
Even at eighteen, you were just as adventurous and spontaneous. Always trying to get your hands dirty with him and Edmund, always doing something to get dirty in the gardens with Susan and Lucy. And Peter was sure he'd join you in your escapades if he wasn't the High King.
Peter took another glance around the door and saw you slip into a silk robe as Lucy led you away to your bath. Edmund sighed and hung his head as you disappeared and Peter turned on his heels and walked away before Edmund saw him.
Peter found the ballroom in no time and made his way to Susan and some other nobles talking to her. When they noticed Peter coming their way, they all bowed. Susan smiled at her brother and dismissed herself. She looped her arm in his and gave him a sideways glance.
"Who were those men?" Peter asked as he walked with Susan around the room, inspecting gifts, foods, drinks, and decorations for your birthday.
"Suitors," Susan replied vaguely, gauging his reaction. When Peter didn't respond, she gave a cheeky smile. "But I suppose you want to know for who, don't you?"
Peter glanced at his sister before he shrugged. "Are they here for you or Lucy?"
Susan shook her head with a laugh. "No, not at all. They're here for Y/N. They all heard she was turning twenty and wanted to meet her."
Peter felt his jaw clench and his teeth grind. He spared a glance to the group of noblemen across the room. Some were chatting and sipping wine, others were watching the entry ways to see you arrive. Peter guessed some were sons of nobles and others must have been divorced or unmarried men who needed a new wife to help them create their line of succession.
Susan nudged Peter's side and he turned his head to look at her. "What is the matter, Peter? She has to be married soon."
"Not necessarily." Peter could make you a better match than those boys and old men. "We could let her stay here and be happy instead of marrying her off to someone who'll force her to change who she is for them to be happy."
Susan stopped walking and made Peter halt. "What's gotten into you?" Susan was far from stupid, let alone ignorant. But she suspected much about Peter and the way he acts when you're mentioned. "Don't you want her to find somebody?"
Peter sighed and turned his head to Susan. "Of course, I do, Su. But they won't love her like I know I can. I'd treat her better than they could."
"Peter," Susan breathed, her smile growing wide. She was so worried about you not finding the love of your life that she hadn't bothered to see that maybe he was closer than you assumed. "You love her, don't you?"
Peter sighed heavily as his heart beat became sporadic. Yes, he did. High King Peter the Magnificent loved you. He didn't know how it happened, but in the two years you've been in Cair Parvelle, something had made him love and care for you.
"Susan, I do. And I don't want her to go. I want her to stay here. With me." He answered, letting Susan see his heart. "I'll marry her instead."
"Marry who?" Lucy interjected as she arrived to stand beside Susan. In the last six years, Lucy grew to become as beautiful as their sister. It always showed when she dressed up. But behind Lucy was you and Peter noticed you walking across the ballroom floor, looking nothing like yourself. Then you got stopped by a pair of hands from one of the princes he saw earlier and Peter felt his hand fall to the hilt of sword.
Susan whispered in Lucy's ear and Lucy grinned at Peter. "Oh, Peter. She'll be so happy to hear that."
Peter wasn't listening, he was walking towards you and the Acherman Prince. Susan grabbed Edmund's elbow as he arrived and pointed to the scene across the room. Edmund nodded and walked on the other side, investigating the scene.
You pulled and clawed as the Prince's hands tried to keep you from getting away. Who did this fool think he is? You turned around and tried to push him away, but nothing worked. This boy must be built like a minotaur.
"Prince Zarek, I must insist you get your hands off of me." You beat your fists against his chest and sighed.
Prince Zarek gave a laugh of pure mockery. "You don't put up much of a fight, do you?"
You scoffed, "At least I don't fight like a girl, you prick."
You swung your head forward and it connected with his nose. You heard a crunching sound and then a shout of pain. You rubbed your forehead and looked at the Prince. "I said to get your hands off of me."
You fixed your skirts and your tiara before you continued to accept and decline dances. Peter watched you exchange pleasantries with your birthday guests and smiled. You were just as remarkable as he always thought. And you certainly just proved that.
As you finished dancing with an older noble, you grabbed a goblet of wine and drank a few swallows. You wiped your mouth with the back of your hand and paused when your eyes met his gaze. Peter chuckled as your face began to pinken. He made his way over as he exchanged greetings with other nobility. He took your wine and drank the rest.
"You are quite the little fighter." Peter mused as he smiled at you. "Who taught you that?"
You snorted as you put your hands on your hips. "Don't make me inflate your ego, you know it was you, Peter."
Peter laughed as he set the empty chalice back on the table. He held his hand out for you to take. "Care to dance with me?"
You felt your neck and ears burn, surely as red as you thought they were. You were just glad that you looked better than you did thirty minutes ago. Lucy made you look as beautiful as Susan and as girlish as herself. In a light green dress with silver linings and trim and high heeled shoes, you looked like the princess you were supposed to be. As uncomfortable as the things were to wear, you supposed you should be thankful that Lucy made you look good enough to have Peter dance with you.
You hesitantly put your hand in his and smiled. "It'd be a pleasure, Your Grace."
Peter hummed as he pulled you into the middle of the crowd. He put a hand on your waist and the other still held yours as he danced across the floor with you.
"You look beautiful, you know." Peter murmured as he twirled you in a circle before pulling you back into his arms.
You scoffed as you gazed at him through your lashes. "As opposed to when I don't?"
"No. You look beautiful all the time, even covered in dirt with leaves in your hair." Peter stopped your waltz and spun you to face him again. His words reached a place in your heart that never thought it'd be filled. You looked away from him then and he smiled at the utter innocence of the action. "You don't believe me, do you?"
"I don't know. Nobody else thinks so, so why should you?" You replied as you stepped away, but still close enough for Peter to touch you.
Peter reached out and tucked a piece of fallen hair behind your ear. "Because I know you and I want you to know that if you decide to marry one of the suitors here for you, I'll let you even if it breaks my heart to see you do so."
You felt breathless as he pulled you closer again and you welcomed it. Peter had always been extremely attractive to you, from the moment you heard stories about the boy to the moment you met the man. Sandy blonde hair that looked soft enough to touch and blue eyes to drown in with muscles in the right places, Peter grew up to be the image of a king and he was a complete gentleman.
"Can I kiss you?" He whispered softly, cupping your face in his hands. And he smiled when you nodded.
The butterflies escaped their cage as Peter's lips met yours. They fluttered wildly as your hands clutched the silky fabric of his tunic, pulling him closer. Peter wrapped his arms around your waist and held you against him.
Peter broke away and stared at you with a grin on his face. You looked as breathless as he felt. Your eyes were closed as you touched your lips and he loved how he was the one to kiss those lips first. But the words you said is what made him weak for you.
"That was my first kiss," you said wistfully as your eyes opened to look at Peter.
"Happy Birthday, Y/N." He replied as he kissed you a second time.
You hummed contently as you felt better about your unnecessary worries from earlier. As much as Rosa may think you weren't a Princess worth marrying to any Prince, it seemed a High King wanted you despite all your unladylike activities. And knowing that was enough for your heart to belong to Peter. And it did.
Peter knew he could love you better than anyone else could. And he knew he'd treat you better. And he'd be damned if he didn't prove it to you. He would. Everyday, he would.
So he danced with you for the rest of the night and he laughed with you and he kissed you over and over again. And across the ballroom, from their place by the balcony, the three youngest Pevensies grinned as they watched you both.
They were as happy as you both felt. You both found the love of your life and it was each other. You were in good hands and so was Peter.
And soon they joined you both, dancing with you both as a family. Letting the night fill with love, hope, and joy.

My King — Edmund Pevensie x gn! reader
Tumblr media
Summery: Reader finds out Edmund read their diary, but it leads to feelings being confessed.
tw: None
wc: 1.3k
Master List
Tumblr media
Sitting down on the green grass I wrote. I wrote in my diary about these strong emotions that were hard to control otherwise. I was trusted to make a plan for the upcoming battle against the Telmarine and their evil king. Yet my emotions were getting the best of me. Due to me being more of a high rank working along the kings and queens of Narnia I have become close to them. I see them as a friend which is highly inappropriate. Yet they treat me as a friend as well. Especially King Edmund and Queen Lucy.
I took a deep breath in and slowly let it out. The smell of the forest calming down my racing heart. The thought of King Edmund was definitely more than a friendly one no matter how hard I tried not to. He was the one I was closest to, for we would stick around each other like glue. I was able to come out here without anyone noticing me. Mainly to write into my diary, but also to gather my thoughts.
I know people think diaries are dumb. 'Why would you put your deepest secret's on paper for all to read?' One reason, that being it cleared my mind. It was like getting a weight lifted off my chest. Sad? I'll write down why and not have to bother anyone. I'm madly in love with the King of Narnia? I'll write it down so the urge to blabber it to someone would leave.
I stopped writing, finishing the passage with a 'see you next time old friend'. I closed the leather bound book and looked up at the blue sky above me. Writing did help me, yet my thoughts are still slightly cluttered. I found a way to think of nothing yet everything at the same time. I was snapped out of my thoughts by the sound of feet approaching me. I glanced to my left to see sweet Queen Lucy smiling at me.
"There you are!" She exclaimed running up to me. "We got worried when we couldn't find you!"
"I'm sorry to worry you my queen," I said bowing my head.
"How many times do I have to tell you to just call me Lucy?" She said with a slight pout. "What are you doing out here anyways?"
I looked back up at the sky before saying, "I needed to clear my mind, get some fresh air."
She sat down next to me, "What's on your mind? You can tell me! I'm good at keeping secrets!"
I looked back at the young girl and smiled. She was such a sweetheart.
"I'm not sure if I should," I said nervously.
"Pleaseeeeeee," She whined out giving me puppy dog eyes. I looked away, the urge to tell someone how I feel greater than ever now. I let out a sigh hoping to Aslan that I don't regret what I'm about to do.
Opening the brown book in my hands I flipped to the last page I wrote in. I pointed out the paragraph for her to read and fidgeted with my hands as she did so. Each word she read she seemed to brighten up more and more. It honestly seemed like she was about to explode with happiness. Once she finished she looked at me with a bright gleam in her eyes.
"Please don't tell anyone qu- Lucy," I begged with desperation clear in my eyes.
"You should tell him!" She squealed out with a bright smile.
"He's a king! Of Narnia!" I exclaimed with a bright blush. "He's from another world, it would never work."
She frowned, "You can always try."
I frowned as well and looked down at the grass we were currently sitting on, I raked my hands through it thinking everything over. I could try, for however much time left we could make memories that would last forever. I bit my lip feeling overwhelmed by the situation.
"There you two are!" Exclaimed the familiar voice of King Edmund. "Why didn't you come tell me you found her Lucy? I was getting worried something happened to the both of you."
I felt my eyebrows raise and my cheeks flush hot. He just cared about me as a friend...or an important part of the war, nothing more. He looked over at me and his chocolate brown eyes looked so warm I felt like I was melting. The freckles that littered his cheeks so prominent against his pale complexation. His dark brown hair looking soft as ever. His plump lips- NO! I shouldn't think about those things.
I heard Lucy giggle causing me to look away from the small staring contest first. She winked at me and left causing my heart to beat faster, scenarios running wild through my mind. I kept my stare on the ground below us, not trusting myself to look back into his eyes.
"Hello my king," I spoke out softly. "I hope Lucy and I did not worry you too much." I glanced up and saw a fiery blush make its way onto his face before I looked back down.
"Wh-what were you two talking about?" He asked walking closer to where I stood.
I felt myself fluster, not knowing what to say "You," I blurted out like an idiot. I looked off to the left noticing that Lucy was watching us. Edmund and I were just friends, so why was there so much tension between us?
"All good I hope," He joked, now standing right next to me.
I let out a slight laugh and nodded, "All good."
"I've read it," He blurted out causing me to look up at him in horror. There's only one thing that could mean. He's read my diary, the things I held closest to my heart. "I-I didn't mean to, I thought it was just a normal story and continued to read, but I realized a little to late it was your story."
My heart was racing and my hands were shaky. My body felt weak and I felt dizzy. No, no he can't know. The slight confidence that Lucy helped me gain vanished in that instant. I put a hand to my head stumbling back slightly still not comprehending it. You may think that it's not a big deal, that I'm over reacting. Try to understand how someone you care about opened you up and read you just like a book, that they now know you much better than you wished they did.
I felt him hold me up gently and help me sit on the ground. So many emotions were running through me at the same time, I don't know how to react.
"I-I'm really sorry (y/n)," He said quietly, voice slightly cracking.
I looked over at him and noticed that he seemed close to tears, "It's...it's fine." I took in a deep breath, trying to calm myself. "H-how far did you get?" I asked, my voice sounding shaky.
"Far enough to...to know how you feel about me," He blushed glancing off to the side. I felt my heart drop, literally.
"I-I'm sorry King Edmund," I spouted out frantically. "I know it's inappropriate and I shouldn't feel the way I do!" I felt like crying, my eyes watering. I placed my head in my hands, hoping I could shield myself from his rejection.
"I love you (y/n)," Edmund said. Those four words seemed to stop the world. He grabbed my hands revealing my face, a few stray tears falling down my cheeks. I looked at him with wide eyes and my mouth hung slightly open. "I want to be with you for as long as possible."
The space between us was suddenly gone as he put his lips onto mine. It was a slow and passionate kiss expressing our feelings we held for each other. I put one of my hands on his neck trying to bring him even closer if that's even possible. We pulled apart slowly, not rushing to open our eyes. I looked over his beautiful face once more, it seemed even more breathtaking up close.
"I love you too my king."
