I absolutely love your writing and I was wondering if you could write something about Spencer reid and reader who have just started dating and they get into their first ever argument and it’s a bit angsty but cute(?) cause he gets all worried while reader is more experienced in the relationship department so she (or gn!reader, your choice) doesn’t worry as much cause she knows it doesn’t mean they’re over? And then he gets all pouty and clingy when they make up cause he hated being far from her sm🫶 I know its very specific and idk weird so its totally okay if you don’t wanna write it but I’d really appreciate it!!!

spencer was not expecting you to leave. to argue, to complain, even to berate, but to leave? the thought the didn’t even cross his mind.

the argument had started over something stupid, probably like a teasing remark that had gone too far, or the fact that he had been nagging you about doing the dishes. he wasn’t sure. all that filled his mind now was the fact that you walked out the door and slammed it behind you. he wasn’t sure where you went to, or if you were coming back.

yet, he was frozen in place. his knees had begun to shake as tears started to well up in his eyes. for a genius, you are really fucking stupid, he thought. he couldn’t believe he blew things with you, already.

you two hadn’t officially been together long. only around 3 months, but had spent much more time together prior to that. he was truly falling for you, something he wasn’t expecting to do. he loved the way you laughed and the way you listened to him. he loved that you were always there to greet him with a wide smile and a tight hug when you he came back from cases. he loved being around you and he loved the positive energy you put out.

and he just ruined all of that over some stupid argument.

spencer was rarely one to be unsure. after all, he is a genius, so there wasn’t many things he didn’t know. but, standing alone in front of his apartment door, he was clueless. should he run after you? should he wait it out? should he start packing up all of the things you’ve left at his apartment over these three months? he didn’t know.

so, like with most things he didn’t know, he was going to research. sure, to the common person googling “what to do after a fight with your girlfriend” would be corny, maybe even a little dumb, but not to spencer. when he couldn’t figure stuff out, he found other sources that could. so that’s what he was trying to do now.

much to spencer’s dismay, he was met with a whole bunch of editorials. not a single academic paper, dissertation, or research project had been conducted on the topic. so, he took what he could get and began reading over the newest People Magazine article titled “steps to making your girlfriend happy after being a bad boyfriend”.

he wasn’t sure how long he’d been reading, or how many different pop culture magazine websites he’d accidentally signed up for on his old desktop by the time his phone rang. it startled him, but he moved quickly to get it, assuming it was hotch calling him to come in for a case.

his heart sped up but his stomach dropped when he saw your first name, with the little otter emoji next to it. you had picked it, spencer didn’t even know there was an otter emoji.

his thumb slid over the answer button as quickly as he could move it, but once he brought the phone up to his ear, spencer couldn’t find any words.

the line was silent for a minute. you weren’t sure if he was even breathing on the other side. you wanted to give yourself time to cool off, separate from spencer. his little remark about your poor cooking skills had gotten to you, and you didn’t want it to become a massive argument. you didn’t know that spencer had spiraled after you left.

“are you going to come over or what?” you couldn’t help but let the residual anger you were holding slip out. despite this, spencer’s breath caught in his throat. you heard him take a deep exhale before saying, “you want me to come over?”

the desperation in his voice was so apparent, it broke your heart. any anger you were holding onto, or any bitterness about the comment he made completely wiped away when you heard spencer’s voice. you guessed that he had probably been crying. you softened your tone, and spoke slowly as you answered him, “of course i want you to come over, spence. we don’t get to have two sleepovers in a row very often.”

spencer’s hand was shaking as he listened to your words. he thought for sure you were going to break up with him. all he said was, “i’m on my way.” before hanging up.

you shouldn’t have been surprised at spencer throwing himself in your arms when you opened the door for him. he always craved physical touch, despite his fear of germs. he knew you and he cherished you, and all he wanted was to be close to you.

your hand snaked around his back as he buried his head in your shoulder. you tried to pretend you couldn’t feel the tears escaping from him. he wasn’t sobbing, there was just other way for him to have the emotional release he needed than to allow his tears to fall. your hand rubbed lovingly over his back, letting him adjust to being back with you.

“i’m so sorry,” he muttered against you. his hands were balled up between you two and you could feel him nervously squeezing his fists tighter. “spencer, it’s okay,” you assured.

you pulled away from him, only to wipe his tears away and move his hair out of his face. despite his height, he looked so tiny and vulnerable. “i didn’t mean to upset you,” he whined. “it’s okay,” you repeated, grabbing his hand to move him to the sofa.

you sat across from him, but he stared at the floor. “i thought you were breaking up with me,” he muttered. his voice was quiet and gentle. you couldn’t help but laugh at his statement. “why would i do that?” you moved closer to him, tucking his hair behind his ear to get him to look at you. “i-i don’t know! you just left and you were angry and i thought you weren’t coming back,” tears were filling up his eyes again as he finally met your gaze.

“spence,” you cooed, “couples fight and sometimes they need space. a little argument like that is nothing. we’re okay,” you promised him. he nodded, then reached out to pull you into his chest. “i don’t like when you storm out like that,” he said. “‘m sorry,” you mumbled against him. he just nodded and pressed a kiss to the top of your head.

The "butsubutsu-tenten" manner lasted almost 30 years. He had to attend the funeral of a relative's child and there he lost the specific visual reference of human dead bodies.

This is where I live as well. Putting aside A and him having to get out of that relationship, Luke is just now getting the opportunity to come into his own career wise and it seems like from the… peculiar… moves he’s making (avant garde/editorial photo shoots vs commercial, not having jobs lined up, trotting around Europe, no consistent SM strategy, not figuring out how to keep his personal life in check before everything falls to shit), that he is still experimenting and figuring things out. I’m doubtful that he is as ambitious as Nicola, which I think actually lends itself to them being right for each other, but he has to figure that out for himself. I responded to a comment on ao3 about the Izutsumi and Laios convo in the most recent chapter of NRBTS, and while I'm feeling self-indulgent, I thought I'd also share the response here.

Just some ramblings about my thought process for the scene, and in particular what Izutsumi might have "wanted" from Laios that he wasn't quite able to identify:

The Izutsumi convo... I didn't want to be too explicit about it, because I think sometimes its good to let things be not totally spelled out (especially in Laios POV), but I do think in retrospect maybe it's a little too vague. So I'm going to indulge in some extra editorializing, as a treat: The context (in my head) is her history with Shuro. “People in charge love to act like they don’t have any say in things" is the core of it, really... she likes and respects Laios, but she's learning to navigate a world with both more freedom and more limits than the one she's spent most of her life in, and I think dealing with a freshly minted noble is complicated for her! Shuro's inability to stand up for himself made him, you know... kinda complicit in the rotten situation she was in. As such, I think she'd have complicated feelings about the things that anyone in power says they "can't do," even if it's someone she's on better terms with. ANYWAY that's all unspoken in the scene itself, but that was my thought process. I think on some level what she wants is for Laios to stand up for himself and do what HE wants to do... even though she knows that wouldn't even necessarily be good for anyone, and even if the context isn't the same as with Shuro. It's messy, and she's still figuring this stuff out for herself. So I just wanted to honor that a bit. Honestly I wish it was easier to include more Izutsumi stuff in general in this fic... I love her sm but there are already lots of characters and I do want to keep the plot at least SOMEWHAT moving forward in each chapter/scene....

just took the warmest nap with my cat now and also had some really strange dreams. i’ll list here what i remember of it

• there was this dog.. a pink poodle? that my neighbor owned and treated like a daughter but in his own house she was a human baby and at mine she was a tall lanky pink well groomed poodle for some reason

• there was some type of music festival going own inside of a school/hotel? strictly with sm artists.

• nct dream was performing and i got really close to the stage very easily and found a friend of mine there (that doesn’t even like kpop)

• after the concert ended assad zaman(?) took pictures of the people in the audience (he was taking pictures of every roll of chairs?) and for some reason some members of nct 127 were there too, johnny was literally right beside me. he hugged me for the pic <3

• i was walking around the hotel afterwards and saw taeyeon in one of the hallways and she was like skipping around and i got the courage to talk to her. she was really sweet asking me when i became a fan and all. then some random guy appeared and started talking about something i don’t remember but he was definitely mansplaining something. another girl appeared to talk to taeyeon too and she was really confused

• anyway the guy left and i asked the girl if she could take a pic of taeyeon and i and she said yes. taeyeon started to pull me around the room and i thought she was looking for like a good place or lighting.

• we decided to take the pic laying on a couch and while we posed the couch turned into sand and we were at a beach? we still took the pictures but i was like a magazine editorial shoot

Hey there! First time running into your account, and by God! I love your Starfire content! One burning question - since we know Starfire is a model under the alias Kory Anders, what do you think that life as a model would be for her based on her character? How would she handle clubs/parties? What would her IG handle and followers count be? What would she model for? How would she cover up her superhero identity given she’ll be followed by simps?

I'm not going to pull any panels for this because I'm feeling very lazy! I love this question sm, though, because Kory's modeling career is very interesting to me + inspired me to pursue my own for a time!

Kory is only incognito as a model very early on in her career and, at some point, the Wolfman-Perez team quietly dropped that aspect and any time she was modeling, she was openly herself w/o anything covering her eyes. her career isn't really touched on much outside of the handful of photoshoots we see--like her early denim photoshoot, a beach shoot with Donna, etc.--and also outside of her being recognized by the press for both her modeling and her status as the resident alien princess superhero on Earth (which is why Dick, instead of Kory, is almost always incognito when they go out together after a certain point in NTT and then New Titans)

as for her life as a model: Kory is 6'4" and, in most depictions, is thin in the extreme meaning she would have no trouble finding editorial work and walking some of the most high profile shows. her modeling career isn't super serious in the comics, so I don't see her modeling for most of the year but she would absolutely end up being the muse of either an established or up-and-coming fashion house. she's not a model you see in product photos, she's a model you see on the cover of Vogue, a model you see in editorials in local and international fashion magazines, etc. etc. her career would be relatively easy in that she doesn't have to go looking for jobs and she probably doesn't have to go to casting calls (which are literal hell sometimes). I think modeling would be like a fun hobby for her more than a job because she doesn't have to do it all the time and would get the highest paying jobs, which supplement her income for most of the year.

her IG handle would probably just be @ koryanders or koriandr because, as mentioned previously, she doesn't seem to have a ton of interest in covering up her identity. she's definitely one of the models that has upwards of a million followers because she's been on Instagram FOREVER and I think she would eventually go on to do public speaking which would draw even more people to her page. I also don't see her going to parties/events beyond the requisite events or events that she personally is really drawn to. meaning, she's going to go to after parties and she'll go to events thrown by friends or by her agency or to events that she absolutely knows Donna is going to be at but I don't think she would be interested in parties that strangers throw, ykwim?

I think that she would eventually form her own sort of mother agency, while still modeling for the agencies she's signed to, as a means of providing younger models with an opportunity they may not otherwise get.

It's unfortunate, but I don't side with the complaint this time. Lin should know better, Doyoung fans look up to her.

Noone wanted to slight Doyoung intentionally. It was toughtless from the layout designer/the team responsible for the albums, but it's a very very common mistake. It probably arose from the designer not knowing the kind of binding that would be used for that particular album version. A spread (2 page illustration/photo) is perfectly fully visible in magazine type of binding, for example.

I think there was a similar case with Taeyong's face on a group picture in the past.

Yes, in a perfect world the binding would be taken into consideration, a test copy printed for a final check of colour and mistakes, the group photo sized down for Do's face to not fall onto the seam or excluded altogether. Unfortunately, we don't live in a perfect world, and the communication between an editorial team and a printing company is always bad.

You imagine SM as one being with one head. In reality it is a complex of hundreds of chains of command and projects ran simultaneously. People are overworked and become unattentive, deadlines press into making shortcuts, subcontractors delay delegated to them jobs, things fall apart here and there. Those albums are probably printed in China, then they need to be completed with pocas and CDs, which, perhaps, happens in Korea. Afterwards those albums need to be sent to the shops. And maybe the copyright team prepares the info about songs and authors with a delay, and thus the layout is completed last minute, and then there is no time for a test copy. Or the machines that print one binding versions are occupied with a big order, and the printhouse offers an alternative, and SM's side has to change all the plans, which results in 2-page illustrations becoming an issue.

I do not like that SM can't sort out their album problem. They get better, than they fail again. And they will probably continue to fail again and again, because they are not a publishing company, they have young layout designers that are still gaining experience (we saw those girls in tours of Kwangya), and the company always finishes everything last minute due to fast-paced factory production. However, I also don't have it in me to hate the company for that.

Fans should point out the issue to SM in a calm customer review manner. It might be corrected with additional print. Not oh and ah among themselves, persuading each other how SM hates Doyoung a 100th time.

I think the repack was not well planned, but they still made one bcs they could tell ppl wanted it, so it was pushed out half hearted. Lets now set the bar reaaal low they thought. If ppl had given up and we skipped this release, waited until a real new concept (maybe a mini?) i wonder if we might have dodged this mess

i cant believe i didnt recognize the motel but i havent seen that mv in yearsss. ok just went back and watched it and i guess the only part i should have recognized from the ay-yo teasers is the empty pool but otherwise i dont think i would have realized without you telling me bc they mostly used different areas of the motel.

my memory is a bit fuzzy with the details of the repackage timeline but im pretty sure we were told a while ago that there would be a repackage so thats why everyone was expecting one (or maybe not, maybe we just assumed there would be one). i really dont know what kind of strategy they were going for with this awful repackage. but sm are no strangers to delays so i dont get why they couldnt have just delayed it a few more months if they needed more time.

the 127s DO need a career refresh. wayv and especially dream both feel fresh and interesting at the moment even with dream currently promoting a 90s cover song. their concepts feel distinctive and characteristic of their respective subunits and both have progressively evolved over time in a way that makes sense. 127's concept just feels stale :/ i think the 2 baddies concept photos were ALMOST THERE with the jack henry inspired photography especiallyyy his rosalía pics and rob pat pics for gq. i think they could have really pushed the visuals. i would LOVE to see 127 with a bit more edge to them. and instead of worrying about staying as pretty as possible. theyre already pretty they dont need to worry about that. i want to see them be INTERESTING and PUSH THE BOUNDARIES for whats the norm in kpop ok i have a vision. dpr ian is a wonderful example of what im talking about, though i would like to see 127 go with a bit more editorial/futuristic/luxury branding.

there are also some really great korean photographers too who have done really interesting work that i think would fit 127 like:

cho gi-seok, an icon. everyone knows cgs! and for a reason! i especially love their matrix inspired series it would be sooo good for 127 but their other futuristic/tech shoots are perfect for 127 too

pakbae is also great and while they focus more on fashion photography, they do occasionally work with idols for magazines. i love that they always throws a few interesting and unexpected images

go won tae has done plentyy of idol photoshoots that you would probably recognize.

less, aka kim taekyun, my tried and true. has also worked with a bunch of idols and with sm for superm and solo taemin and baekhyun concept photos in the past. i also love his editorial shoots but i'll just show some of the work he's done with sm. i think he could do something REALLY interesting if only sm would allow it
