Daily reminder that fruit and veggies don't have to be "healthy" to be nutritious. Drink that fruit juice from concentrate. Eat that jam and nut butter. Use fruit and vegetables out of a can. Eat a dessert with fruit in it. Snack on salted nuts (in moderation) or dried fruit. Literally any way you can get fruit and vegetables into your body is better than none at all.

If fresh fruit and veg aren't available to you, take too much energy to eat or prepare, or if you just can't bring yourself to eat them, whatever way you can eat them is good enough.

Neil created s2 to set up everything that needs to happen in s3.

He literally orchestrated an event for us (much like the ball) to see in the next season. So yes, I do believe there are Clues hidden in s2.

okay, I'm crowdsourcing advice for a minute, so bear with me and please lend some words if you have any:

I want to get out of the house more. Like, on a regular basis. Weekly, maybe. Preferably, I would like to be interacting with people—the same people—every time, for... like... accountability, but also because I am hoping to put myself out there as the 21st century's most neurotic platonic Casanova. Uh. Making a friend or more out of this would be desirable. But I think if I go out with the intention of making a friend, I will be disappointed.

So. I want to go do something, for that something's own sake. I don't want to go be fake once a week hoping to get a friend out of it.

However, the beautiful state of Iowa is a bit cultureless, and I am too introverted and easily overwhelmed for this world (e.g. going to bars is probably not gonna be my thing). So.... I guess.... any suggestions? opinions? thoughts on making friends in general, or finding good activities as an introverted adult, in general?

oh yeah, also: I am poor. that's a factor. so. signing up a class or similar is not a great option right now.

Thinking about horses and riding and how everywhere I've been they encourage you to hit or threaten to hit the horses if they don't comply and the trainers yelling at you if you want to be gentle and how not one trainer i saw thinks about changing the environment to facilitate what the horse actually LIKES doing or taking in account herd dynamics...

have you ever tried to consider that they never dated before lone trail because it would be unrealistic with the timeline and the events and also because it would be overshadowing the actual truth of why they couldn't get along

where do you go for 5 miles? i want to walk more but my area is cut up by super loud roads

I am very lucky that the area where I live has a really nice very long walking/ biking trail that’s like a mile away from me exactly so usually there. My college town I used to live in until 2023 didn’t have that so I just mapped out some of the quieter back roads until I had a go-to 5 mile loop. if you’re mapping out a long walk loop really anything goes it’s nice when it’s quiet and it’s nice when there’s at least one convenience store in case you get hot or want a snack

I love this conversation in Sky 3rd. Osborne's like "whaaaaaaaaaaaaat? we'd never do something so gauche as invading other countries by military force. all the countries that Joined Us of Their Own Free Will just so happened to have such Horrible Crises break out beforehand that they asked us to send in a Peacekeeping Force, and who are we to deny them our benevolent help? really we're doing everyone a favor."

Really this door is one of the best in 3rd, because this whole time you've only heard of Osborne in the background as the architect of everything terrifying about Erebonia and he drops in out of nowhere just to show the Liberlans that he can do that if he wants. He basically tells Olivert that he can set everything on fire if he wants to and dares him to do something about it. He's both incredibly polite and incredibly threatening at the same time. Fantastic set up for Trails of Cold Steel.

Also he just looks evil as hell. You know this guy has an entire department dedicated to kicking puppies.
