Honestly, Idky I drew this but so far, I'm having a love-hate relationship with this. If you couldn't tell, I tried to draw Totl (yet his hair looks exactly like Gidget's- Will fix in two billion years).

But what if one does not want to give the joy back? What if one of the heroes wants everyone to suffer?

What if that peculiar hero...wants to bring nothing but pain.

What if he wants the whole world to shatter, make everyone feel the pain he went through?

Why should they be happy while he suffers?

Sit down dear child as I shall ramble on about this W.I.P au of mine. Also, note that this is like in mid-Post OW (yeah, as I said a W.I.P)

AHEM-

So, in this small Crossover au. Nester and Easter both moved to a small town, wanting to make a fresh start. Well, Nester does. For, Easter, he does try to get used to the new life, living with Nester but still has problems with the locals. Big problems. Nester works at this shitty restaurant, to provide for the two of them.

Nester met Orlam first then Genzou. He met Orlam while working at the restaurant, having a nice small conversation here and there despite the 'invitations' Orlam was giving him. He's like that one friend you make during Adulthood. When introduced to the rest of the group, Nester felt quite welcomed and safe. HOWEVER, when Nester rambled to Easter about it, he wasn't really pleased. Especially whenever Nester talks about Iggy. Easter seemed quite annoyed whenever Nester talks about Iggy, how Iggy does this and that and Yada Yada.

With the beloved injured trio, Olie often stays in contact with Easter, as he works as a teacher in a school for blind people. Totl works at a large packaging business, despite him being half deaf. Mugwort works as a guitarist, only at some local bars. He's part of a band, which the group doesn't really appreciate him much. Mugwort does try and not let that get in his way though. Even if life keeps slamming a crowbar in his face ಡ⁠ ͜⁠ ⁠ʖ⁠ ⁠ಡ.

Totl and Mugwort rarely are in contact with Nester and Easter. Though, both do try their best but due to stress, Mental health and their work, they barely have the time to. D:

I mean, Mugwort will try and visit the two brothers here and there but that's like once a month or so. The trio hasn't met the Wobbles (the OW group), but does hear slight bits about them from Nester. Easter often complains about them.

There were a few incidents Easter had with the group, whenever meeting them. Mostly towards Genzou and Iggy, which led to Nester leaving Easter at home whenever invited to Bucks Barbeque or anywhere the wobbles were at.

I am considering trying to make a small itty bitty fanfiction bout this AU, especially when I have so many ideas for it. :3

Then I decided to just at least draw some art of you and your characters - again I didn’t have time

And now, I only have until Friday to draw you and the characters! (well... Heh, April 5th is my birthday, so your ending was a shock and a gift to me, heheh)

There is a funny thing about how I decided to arrange them. I will try to find. But the joke is that you, Carrot, are like a tree - the beginning of your games.

Easter - branches from you from your left shoulder.

Our Wonderland - branches from the right shoulder.

If not you, we would hardly have seen your wonderful games with such content and plot!

You make people happy and inspire them to create - that already says a lot, hehehe!

And I was glad that I also surprise you with my works 🦊✨

And if it weren't for your game "Our Wonderland", I wouldn't draw again... In fact, your game influenced my life. Hehehe, because your game even helped me make a logo, the desire to understand Blender, and even writing a plot (this is all at university)!

So, Easter and Totl were originally supposed to be gay? I kinda figured, considering the whole "knight" thing (what is it with you and gay knights Carrot LOL) but now I may or may not have gotten curious. What were you planning with them exactly?

i think i pictured it mostly on totl's side. i never had any kind of concrete ideas or plans tho 💦 i think it mostly just would have been pushing it a little more, like a line or a moment or something that made it a bit blatant/clear on totl's side of things. nothing brand-new but more like just something within the scenes already there. maybe in something in the scene before the attic scene. as a game, easter in general already didn't have a whole lot of like, interactions or extended dialogue between the chars. so there is a lot i think that is left a bit vague or open to interpretation already 🤣

I only just finished the sketch for now (and I will probably change/fix some things (especially considering I'm still not sure if Easter's Escapades™ would have happened in this AU, so I might have to take out some organs haha oops)), but I really wanted you to see this considering this concept has been occupying my mind for the past 3 days.

Nester is a Human Tank.

Olie is an Elf Bard.

Totl is a Human Archer.

Mugwort is a Half-Orc Mage.

i've never dreamed up any AUs with the easter cast before tbh, mostly because easter was kind of a one-and-done thing and i left game dev for a while after it so it wasn't swarming my head constantly the way OW does.

i absolutely love these!! these feel so accurate??? SOBBING now i'm imagining them getting up to shenanigans as well (even tho the story of easter doesn't quite allow for that perhaps as much LOL) i really love the sketches!! they look so cool, and i love the designs of the outfits! 😭💕

How old is the Easter cast? I assume they're younger than the OW cast, but I want to make sure.

in my head the easter cast has always been in their 20s???

so not quite as old as OW cast but still "older" in comparison perhaps to many similar games 🤣

without thinking about it too much or checking to be sure it's consistent, i would put them at maybe:

easter: 26ish

mugwort: 27ish (older than easter at least)

totl: 27ish (older than easter at least)

olie: 25ish (slightly younger than the others)

nester: 23ish (the youngest)

I must say, that seems like a good method to get names for your characters! I did notice a slight reuse in names from Easter to Our Wonderland, like, for example, Mugwort's last name being Krills, transferred to Bucks later on, or, if I remember correctly, Totl named the rat he found in the pipes "Iggy" (perhaps I'm wrong but that's how I remember it).

Regarding the name Bordelle, there is something you should be made aware of. That the word "bordel" in French has an actual meaning. When used as an exclamation, it is generally a swear word, and is nowadays more of a colloquial way to refer to a mess. But the reason it's a swear in the first place is because a "bordel" was one of the names used for these "prostitution buildings" back in the days (sorry, I can't remember how you call those in English).

So my overanalyzing French brain cannot help but see the name "Bordelle" as a feminized version of a word that means "prostitution house". Which is HORRIBLY IRONICALLY TRAGIC regarding Gidget's arc 😭😭

I hope this doesn't make you uncomfortable, but I thought you had to be made aware of that. Although it's definitely me overanalyzing random stuff as always 😭😭

I never dared to ask but... Why is Gidget's last name Bordelle? How did you land on that? Because, as a French person, I must say I was taken aback (to say the least) when I found out that "Bordelle" was their last name!

I'll be real, all I did was play around with sounds in my head what might sound good with their name, and I liked how this one also sounded similar to the name of a camp I went to as a kid that I have fond memories of

the majority of my names, especially last names, are just me doing random sounds in my head and seeing if they sound good and fit well with the first names. I think genzou's last name is the only one I didn't do this with as I wanted it to be a real Japanese name. the rest are like made-up names (like all the names in Easter, too)
