Eh... I don’t know, although I want to have time to finish drawing something.

Carrot, if you can see this, I screwed up.

Back in the New Year, I wanted to make art with you and your characters, but I didn’t have time

Then I decided to just at least draw some art of you and your characters - again I didn’t have time

And now, I only have until Friday to draw you and the characters! (well... Heh, April 5th is my birthday, so your ending was a shock and a gift to me, heheh)

Here's the concept art

Although, the first option was similar to the New Year, because there are only OW(OC) characters

There is a funny thing about how I decided to arrange them. I will try to find. But the joke is that you, Carrot, are like a tree - the beginning of your games.

Easter - branches from you from your left shoulder.

Our Wonderland - branches from the right shoulder.

If not you, we would hardly have seen your wonderful games with such content and plot!

You make people happy and inspire them to create - that already says a lot, hehehe!

And I was glad that I also surprise you with my works 🦊✨

And if it weren't for your game "Our Wonderland", I wouldn't draw again... In fact, your game influenced my life. Hehehe, because your game even helped me make a logo, the desire to understand Blender, and even writing a plot (this is all at university)!

August Art Prompts, Day 2: Underwater 🪼

to be 100% clear i have not watched the show the only way i have consumed it is through dashboard gif and fanart osmosis (the best way to absorb a show whose primary strength is its aesthetics, in my opinion) and @firstmatedville yelling at me about how much he hated the first episode. if anyone gets on my ass about how i'm getting details wrong i am simply not listening <3

gonna put this under a cut bc as usual my writing is the opposite of brief (also, tagging @norheavenorhell for this!!)

so!! the two biggest issues i have with wednesday are the explicit inclusion of ghoulies and monsters and the fact that wednesday and morticia have the world's worst relationship. so right out the gate, i am removing all explicit references to the supernatural and making them actually. y'know. like each other

i actually Do love the idea of a wednesday addams boarding school mystery bc you Know girlie would thrive in that capacity, so i'm keeping that aspect, but we're gonna make it some Spicy political commentary bc Why Not

plot kicks off kinda like the musical where wednesday is going through her Normal Girl era and decides she wants to see the world for herself, so she Asks to be sent to a normal school and strike off on her own for awhile. and while her parents are understandably a little nervous about being empty nesters they want her to be happy, so they strike out on getting her enrolled in the best school they can find since Obviously they want her to learn the most she can

this school turns out to be a very prestigious boarding school, mostly full of shitty rich kids and like. a Few people there on scholarship, so the dynamics are Interesting to say the least. wednesday tries her hand at being unassuming and like. just an average student that isn't overtly spooky goth. but it turns out Real Quick she hates it, especially bc she's watching the more obviously quirky and weird students get So Bullied and she's like. i'm scary. i can do something about this

she and enid meet bc wednesday sees enid getting picked on and decides to try to chase the richboy shitheads away so they'll leave enid alone. and that's how they become friends!! enid wants so much to be an artist but her parents are rich capitalist types and don't understand this, and she's Such an easy target for her peers? bc she dresses in pastels and really doesn't fit in. so once wednesday shows her that you can be confident in being strange, enid flocks to her and they understand each other so well

they're both outsiders!! who find power in being nonconformist and offputting, although in two very different ways? wednesday's dark and grim and revels in being intimidating, while enid's eyestrain-y and poppy and likes amplifying those bright parts of herself So Loud whenever she can. and so wednesday helps give her the strength to stand up for herself!!

but also we have a murder mystery to get to, so.

placing a tw here for vague mentions of right wing political ideology stuff because i have a bone to pick with the radicalization of young white men and that's gonna come out in a goth tv show allegory (nothing overtly specific, just getting the tone. also i am by no means a political scientist or sociologist and this isn't meant to be too in depth? i am just a humble writer with opinions)

not bothering with telling this in chronological order bc i wanna talk about my Reasoning for this.

this sort of school environment just seems like. the kind of place you'd get a lot of young republican types with very few checks in place, which of course leads to the type of young white men we see so much in the news for various acts of bigotry. and so our main antagonist is someone like that, who slipped through the cracks and feels entitled to this sort of violence

people around the school start turning up dead. there doesn't seem to be much pattern, other than that these people are usually a bit on the fringes of the school ecosystem. but worst of all, wednesday keeps receiving these cryptic almost-warnings for each death, slipped under her dorm's door. at first she thinks they're nothing but then they always precede a death and have just enough Hinting that she's like. okay someone is fucking with me

so she and enid start investigating while also just. navigating the school environment. along the way, other people who are also on the social outskirts sort of team up with them bc they too feel unsafe or have received strange warnings and it turns into a little team effort of the ragtag group of weirdos tracking down a murderer while evading the adult authorities that seem to be barking up all the wrong trees.

i haven't decided on many specifics between the beginning of the investigation and the dramatic finale, so let's take a quick break to talk about a couple recurring gags and plot elements that don't really fit in with the full chronology!!

recurring gag #1: the thing's hand just appears around corners to hand wednesday things/point at clues/sign mean gestures at her (none of that disembodied shit either, he is emerging from shadows)

recurring gag #2: a large cadre of the supporting characters are fester in different wigs and costumes. guidance counselor? fester. janitor? fester. maid/cleaning staff? also fester. he is checking in on his girl :)

recurring gag #3: enid gets a few Creature jokes just because she is a profoundly hairy girl and i love her so much

recurring plot point: wednesday is pen pals with morticia to talk about her experiences at school and it is very very sweet bc wednesday is so very open with her and talks about her struggles and stuff? and morticia is excited bc her little girl's got a crush!! and on someone delightfully weird!!! but at some point wednesday's catching her up on all the murders and is like "i'm really stuck and i'm scared and i need help" and morticia just mails her a fucking sword

also morticia and gomez keep asking after enid bc they absolutely adore her and at the end of the show after enid and wednesday get together they send a care package back to the addamses full of polaroids of them together and a few pieces of enid's art they can frame (at some point enid goes home with wednesday over break and the addamses commission her to paint this mural in their house and it's So Bright and hurts to look at and it's the most treasured piece of artwork in the house)

anyway back to the real plot

the little team of investigators has taken to doing group sleepovers in wednesday's dorm so they can work together and sleep in shifts to keep watch over each other. which leads to a lot of enid and wednesday sleeping in the same bed or being up late by themselves, so y'know. slowburn. and i think the killer sneaks into their midst, pretending to help them (he may or may not flirt with wednesday but she is just like. "......what")

fast forward to the school dance bc i do love the vibes of the dance scene and i want to keep one. they're worried the killer is gonna strike and are keeping their eyes open, and at some point the killer comes to wednesday and is like "i learned something dangerous but we have to be careful about it" and leads her away from the group and once they're alone he's like "surprise it was me the whole time bc i suck as a person and feel like the world owes me bc i am god's special little boy"

and of course wednesday's like "holy shit it's You???" and she's honestly terrified. she left her sword back in her dorm and none of her friends have noticed she's missing and and their last suspicion was in the complete wrong direction so it'll take forever for anyone to suspect he killed her

but what's this!! it's enid with a steel chair!! (actually it's wednesday's sword)

she manages to incapacitate the killer for a second and helps free wednesday and then it's two lesbians and a sword plus an insufferable guy with a knife. big fight!! enid may or may not Bite Him at some point because she's just a little bit feral. eventually the teachers find them with the killer bloodied but still alive on the floor and wednesday and enid Also blood soaked and in tattered dresses and holding a bigass sword. the killer is whisked off Somewhere (rich kid jail??? idk) and enid and wednesday are just like. holy shit we lived

at some point wednesday goes "how did you Find Me??" and it's like. enid noticed she was missing Immediately and went to check her room and when she wasn't there she just sort of. Figured It Out. and tracked them down (also, insert joke about werewolf bloodhound nose). and as the adrenaline wears off wednesday just collapses in enid's arms for a hug and then kisses her. because they still deserve to be lesbians!!

they get ushered to the infirmary of course, but after it's determined that they're basically Fine, just shaken, they sneak out to go back to the dance and kind of revel in the fact that they're Alive and In Love and they dance so weird and so big and enid dips wednesday for a kiss and they're all still covered in blood and their dresses are in Shreds but who cares. and eventually they stagger back to wednesday's dorm and curl up in her big gothic four poster bed together and sleep for like fifteen hours

and that's basically it?? vague ideas about the addamses kind of helping enid's parents get better at accepting their daughter and wednesday and enid giving each other makeovers and enjoying silly little dates of various kinds

this is the better version of wednesday that lives in my head and i hope you like it!!!

i haven’t watched wednesday and i don’t intend to start but does anyone want the better version that lives in my head

Happy ending of the OW Arc and my birthday!✨

this day is both sad and joyful

It’s sad because our favorite short story is finishing its story, and I’m moving from 20 to 21... Scary

But the happy thing is that the torment of the characters will be over! And that I managed to draw at least some art:D

@just-a-carrot , thank you so much again for creating and sharing parts of yourself in this story!

The characters feel like they are alive, like us, ordinary people (even though they are older than us🤣)

The story is that even in adulthood, there can also be problems, experiences, and thoughts about the past: Did I live well?

Like the same question for me: Did I live this year well? Do you regret it?

A story in which we saw different types of people, their past, and who they became (and also teaches us how not to behave)

Story - in which we can see ourselves. See from the outside or see your reflection in the characters.

The story, when you, Carrot, shared with us.

First Easter, now Our Wonderland, but I am sure that the story is not over, and there will be the same good story as the past (If the thought of it comes to you, of course!)

In addition: “The author’s work will live forever as long as people remember and talk about it."

There is no need to be afraid to create, there is no need to be afraid to try, experiment. Because creativity, art is the same way to show our thoughts, history and feelings ✨

We had problems, trials, but we get through them, with loved ones or ourselves.

Still, Carrot, thank you so much for inspiring me to create, albeit so often, but the desire and motivation to draw.

Because, I love to draw. Create. Give people happiness :3
