regarding romance involving your characters, im aware you've talked about how you likely wont engage in making content surrounding that topic (WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY FINE obviously), but do you mind if others do? i personally find a lot of enjoyment in those kinds of scenarios and itd be good to know if thats something you're fine with when it comes to your own creations. (im sure you get enough asks about romance already, apologies!!)

Short answer: sure, I don't mind if people want to make romantic-themed art or writing with my characters. It's flattering!

I don't really have much in the way of hard limits when it comes to depictions of my characters (not counting nsfw/kink art, where I'm also pretty permissive but want to be communicated with in advance), but here are some personal boundaries when it comes to how people treat me, the human:

My characters aren't able to be "claimed" by people for exclusive shipping purposes (either with other characters or for self-shipping). When people get jealous of either other people who want to ship themselves or their characters with mine, or jealous of the characters' in-story love interests, it creates a highly uncomfortable situation for me.

I'm happy for people to enjoy their romantic fantasies with my characters, but I am not included in that bargain. Liking my character does not mean one knows or is in any kind of relationship with me, platonic or otherwise (especially not otherwise).

Likewise, I probably won't reciprocate a lot of self-shipping or Your OCxMy OC type stuff. Of course I'll comment and appreciate the effort and the expression of being interested in my silly stories! But I won't necessarily make a lot of ship art in return or trade head-canons or what have you (again, I just am not super into shipping and I have my own story stuff I already don't have time to draw orz).

My characters aren't made to be boyfriend material. I also have not drawn/written/shown every part of their awful personalities or actions. In the future, I might reveal something about them that makes them unappealing or unsexy. People can ignore the unpleasant qualities I give my characters in their fantasies/fics, but I won't change how I write or draw the character to make them better suited to someone's tastes (yes this is something people have asked me to do).

I feel like stating some of these things makes me look a bit neurotic, like "oh come on, that's not going to happen," but unfortunately all of these things have happened to me before when people got, I guess, a liiiittle too romantically invested in my characters.

So really, I don't have many boundaries in the way of content. Go forth and write or draw or just imagine what pleases you (general you). Write them getting married, having unrequited crushes, being one of the last survivors of the Titanic and sacrificing themselves so that the other character can live her best life beyond their doomed romance, etcetera.

All I ask is that the appreciation is centered on the character as an imaginary being, and I, the real and very boring human woman, am largely ignored in the equation and not pulled in to do matchmaking, officiate any weddings, or act as a conduit to manifest a tulpa.

The Inherent Eroticism of Big Mechs

Hey! I'm looking something of a writing/rp partner, I have lots of experience writing and improvising, and while text-based roleplay is relatively new to me, I have done it before. I'm looking for someone interested in building up the world and narrative around our characters, creating tension and buildup to make the eventual climax as exciting as it can be!

The inherent eroticism of piloting a 20 foot tall humanoid machine cannot be understated. Trapped in the cockpit of a metal machine, baking in the heat of its reactor and ignoring the ache in your bones as you push machine and body to their limits. The tension of rival pilots, the bond of pilot and engineer, the contrast of an envoy and their bodyguard, all wrapped up in a larger-than-life (and larger than house) armored package. I'd love to explore how, at the end of it all, after fighting tooth and nail in this metal body, isolated away in the cockpit, the pilot must leave its protection and become exposed to the world once again.

I'm happy to work together on the details, but heres some prompt ideas if you'd like a jumping off point!

Two pilots, each one the top of their program, cross paths when their respective nations decide to play a wargame. As the two fight against each other and beside each other through each challenge, a rivalry grows and tensions rise, each individual trying to prove themselves the better. In the end, how will the tension break?

A pilot and their engineer, deployed far off in a remote base, are forced into a sudden game of cat-and-mouse as unknown soldiers swarm the fort. With only a mech to hold off the enemies - and a cockpit barely large enough for the two of us - how will we survive the danger, let alone escape? And, perhaps, the question of how the attack even happened will have to be answered too.

An envoy of peace, a light of hope in the bleak shadow of war, holds the key to what could finally bring this conflict to an end. The only thing left is to reach the capital, but when our transport is shot down deep in no-mans-land, that light faces dangers that threaten to snuff it out. As the envoy and their guard press onward, how will their different outlooks clash? What dangers face our travels? What really destroyed the transport? And at the end of it all, if we even make it out alive, will it even matter?

I love a plot with thrills, twists, drama, and action, what pushes our characters together and what pulls them apart? I would like to explore the relationship between them and their possible romance.

Here are some short descriptions of plots I’ve been thinking about BUT I love world building and coming up with something together would be fun too:

The story is a bit more towards the dark side, it's basically someone who has been struggling with his addictive past and it still follows him throughout his life. But because his past he gets flashbacks and moments where he sees a face, and he tries his best to find that person again and to remind what really happened when he was younger.

Once he finds the man who he has been having flashbacks from, the two try to find out who they were together and why they parted ways.

It is more kind of psychological with a tad bit of drug use and drama.

Development Questions for Couples!

Not well. I'm sure there's a piece or two (or a few...) on her carrd's writing page that's about the abject horror of realizing that someone matters to her now. Jak doesn't want to care about people! That's someone else who can hurt you, or be taken away, or betray you, or... whatever else. She's a deeply paranoid person whose lived experiences tell her that people are in it for themselves - they get close to you to use you, then leave. It's dog-eat-dog, and very rarely does it turn out otherwise for her - even through all the RP I've had, everyone leaves! They quit the game, or they don't get ERP, so they ghost me... and then Jak is also ghosted! This has only gone on to further compound this outlook she's had ingrained in her from her backstory - people hang around for a bit, try to use you, then leave if they can't/as soon as they get what they want. Hell, she spent forever trying to wrap her head around caring for a Hyur, then he told her he was dying... then the player left the game, so Jak was left very soon after he effectively said he loved her but he was dying. How is that supposed to make her feel? Another ex used her company, her gang, and her money to get a new wardrobe, to start his own business, and to seduce a much younger man, all while abusing Jak and trying to force her to be someone she isn't... then he left her for this guy.

Her lived experience with letting people in has gotten her abandoned, or stalked - only one person has ever followed through longterm, and that's the guy in her bed! But suffice to say, even making friends with her is a huge deal - romance/sex is effectively off the table these days anyways... but all of this has only served to prove that 'friends' haven't ever been worth it any more than lovers have been.
