Simblreen 2024 Gift #2: Françoise Blouse for teen-elder
For the second gift, I'm excited to bring you my first more complex frankenmesh project! This is a combination between the Store Worlds Collide Outfit and the High-end Stylist Outfit from Ambitions. I really liked the frilly collar and blouse of the former, but hated...whatever was going on with the sleeves. So I went ahead and ripped the arms off the Stylist outfit~
As a sidenote, I think the red preset looks amazing 🥺
⚠️ Issues: I did my best to minimize it, but some exaggerated poses may feature clipping between the shoulder and the collar ruffles. This top also works best with high-waisted bottoms that are tighter around the waist; I tried to make it as loose as I could and let it sit lower than the waist seam, but more than this would make it would look goofy if paired with something more form-fitting.
For teen-elder females. Everyday, Formal, Career, Maternity. Not enabled for random.
4 channels, 3 presets. The first preset has a recolorable brooch, the other two have no brooch but do have recolorable buttons.
Original items not required.
Recommended: the gorgeous vintage conversions by @joojconverts, but especially the skirts in this set.
Also see: the Prairie Set by Aminovas contains a blouse that's very similar to this one! The sleeves, waist and textures are a bit different, though.

Several items, repurposed into functional hampers
While digging around my to-do folders, I came across this "maybe" project that I decided to try my hand at. There was a bit of a learning curve, since I haven't had to deal with geostates in years, but I eventually got the hang of it.
All three hampers come in two versions:
regular: these collect clothes only from the rooms they're in.
super: will auto-collect all laundry on the lot, so only one hamper is necessary per lot. These require NonaMena's Super Hampers script!
Both versions require the Ambitions EP! You can have both the regular and super versions installed at the same time, if you want. They all come in 3 presets. Readme file included in archive.
Issues: some hampers' textures may look blurry while you're recoloring them/in CASt mode, but they look fine in Live Mode.

Ambitions Reward Medals Basegame Compatible & Buyable
I got this as an ask from anon and it seemed quick & easy enough, so here you go. These are wall decorations, unrecolorable, can be shifted up & down the wall, cost $50 and can be found in Sort by Room \ Bedroom, Living, Dining, Office (under Wall Decorations for each) and Sort by Function \ Decor \ Wall Decorations. They won’t interfere with the regular medals obtained through the professions/careers. You don’t need Ambitions to use them, and they won’t show up with the Ambitions icon in the catalog.

The Ultimate CAS Catalog Overhaul - for real this time!
@lorasandolasbycz asked:
Hi! I love that you made ridiculous sims 3 outfit hiders. Is the procedure with putting them in and getting them to work just the standard? Put the package in sims 3>mods>packages ? For some reason the ridiculous outfits are still in my game. Thanks a bunch!
Well this turned out significantly longer than I anticipated 😂 I did notice that those hiders weren’t working anymore for some reason, but figured it was just my game being pissy, so I left them up and went through ALL sim CAS items again to reorganize them (it was long overdue anyway). This is what I’ll be posting here. It’s a long-ass post, so check under the cut for details.
This applies for all EPs minus ITF, and for HELS. Also I did not initially mean to share these, so only the hairs have previews (because I gave them custom thumbnails). All of them are default replacements, meaning you need to have the EPs/SP for them to do anything. You can put them in any folder you want, as long as it’s under Mods\Packages.
Folder link (hair retextures + CASP recategorizers)
Read under the cut before downloading!
Hair retextures
The hair retextures are only for the hairstyles I decided to keep! Not all hairstyles are retextured! No, I won’t be doing more. Yes, you can use my textures to retexture your own. Yes, I kept the mullet hair from the Basegame. Who do you take me for? [ click for HQ version of the collage above ]
IMG edits
I use these alongside other IMG and mesh edits: [x], no UL stencils, [x], [x], [x], [x], [x], [x], [x]. Basegame: a merged version of all my texture edits: 1, 2, 3, 4. Ambitions: this edit for the low-level stylist outfit: 1. Island Paradise: stencil-less version of the male vest, plus this: 1. Late Night: a few specular edits, a stencil-less version of the muscle shirt, plus this specular edit: 1. Showtime: specular edits of two dresses. University Life: stencil-less version of the male hoodie, plus this: 1.
CASP edits
Recategorizers and hiders for sim CAS content - tops, bottoms, outfits, shoes, accessories -, all ages. Open each package in S3PE and use S3OC to see which item is which; there are over 1.5k entries so I have no time to go through every one of them again. At most I can show you how part of my catalog looks (see photoset above). Note that I also use Nraas Master Controller to compress the catalog so that only one preset is displayed.
Pets Riding Leggings Edit (BottomEP5RidingPants)
This is an edit that gives all the channels the same color (the mask is intact so they can still be recolored as usual) and rearranges the presets so that the all-black one is first. It comes with EA-match thumbnails to reflect the color changes. It applies to both genders, teen-elder.

Smaller dressers
Continuing from @packagedblyss‘s work (shoutout!), here are dressers from the expansion packs (minus ITF)! As opposed to the smaller desks, these dressers truly are 1-tile only and this time I kept their original presets.
The most challenging part were the vanity-type dressers since moving the vertices of the parts where the mirrors connected to the “body” would screw up the UV map, so I had to resize them with that in mind. The mirrors ended up quite small for the sake of maintaining proportions, but I think they would look cute as toys for kids! I normally place armchairs beside them anyway 🙂
There are 16 dressers, from all EPs (minus ITF) and HELS.
Details - all the dressers are basegame compatible; - they be found in the same categories as the original dressers; - they cost roughly 50% of their 2-tile counterparts; - the Egypt dresser actually had a hidden third stencil, which is a combination of the other 2. I enabled it and added a fourth preset, with recolorable handles; - I included 2 variations of the Late Night wardrobe: one as tall as the original, and a shorter one.

Smaller desks
Hi again! I remembered Blyss’s 1-tile dressers and thought “why not try this with desks?”. A lot of desks (especially the basegame ones) look too wide and, when placed to the left of a bed, don’t allow sims to use that bed if another sim is using the desk. So. Much. Arm. Waving. So, I made the meshes smaller and adjusted the bounding boxes and the placement of the slots. They still show up as 2-tile objects, but they’re 65% the length of the original desks (I tried making them 1-tile but most clipped with some chairs and didn’t look good).
Edit: I forgot to mention—there are 17 desks!
Routing - If placed next to a bed, sims will be able to use the bed while another sim is using the desk (2-tile desks don’t allow this if placed on the left side of the bed). - You can place two desks right next to each other and sims will be able to walk between them (though only if there’s no other route).
Details - all the desks are basegame compatible; - can be found in the same categories as the original desks; - they cost roughly 50% of their 2-tile counterparts; - some desks come with 3 custom presets (the ones which I really hate the original presets to). You can see them in the previews; - the Dorm Desk from UNI actually had both an overlay and a stencil enabled at the same time for the books, so I left the overlay for one preset and the stencil for another; - they don’t interfere with the regular desks.

Some small stuff I’ve had for ages but didn’t release because it’s so minor I’ve been debating whether or not to release it at all. Because the textures on the small gift box were so tiny and bad, I ended up remaking them completely; while it doesn’t look great now either, it’s at least...better? I guess.
The plastic ball is just the baseball without the overlay and made recolorable, (1 channel). You will find it in Outdoor / Outdoor Activities, for a price of $3.
The basegame (BG) gift box is the one that Omni Plant seeds arrive in, and the Ambitions (AMB) one is just a random decor item. You will find them both in Storage / Misc, for a price of $20. They each have 3 channels. The AMB gift box does not require Ambitions.
The gift boxes require Treeag’s Storage mod to work as Storage. Otherwise they won’t have any interactions (and could be used as decor if you want).

Here you go, anon :) And hell yeah, we do! (for reference) Female and male Stylist hairstyles coming soon.
Issues: these hairs are badly made! 1. You can see fragments of mesh (? idk what that is) which are normally somewhat obscured by EA’s shitty textures. Sadly, IDK how to fix them. 2. Since the hair is wispy, the roots are sometimes visible through the strands. Might want to keep the roots close to the base color. 3. The tips of the long hair clip into the sim’s body. Not a problem for females, but males have a bulkier body mesh, so expect that.
I also threw in a hairstyle from Island Paradise that I thought was better made than these (the one from the first preview).
+ Teen - Elder unisex. + Custom thumbnails only. Separate packages. + Enabled for more categories (e.g. Outerwear), including Random. + Will conflict with CASP edits of the same hairs (recategorizers, hiders). Since Arisuka’s versions were CASP edits, these retextures will conflict with her recategorizers.

Surprise CC time! Today I bring 2 career rewards + a debug decor item from Ambitions, converted to functional dollhouses! Now your sim kids (and adults) can play with a traditional manor, a modern skyscraper or a spoopy graveyard!
This project was a bit more challenging to do since they all had some kind of issue: the graveyard and tower meshes were facing a weird way, and Sims would clip through the manor. It’s been a while since I’ve touched these, but I do remember rotating the meshes for the first two, as well as moving the slots a bit behind and making the tower recolorable.
Issue: the sims’ hands will float in midair where they would normally place their hands on the dollhouse, but they don’t do it too often and you could chalk it up to them reaching out if you’re taking screenshots :)
Details:
+ They don’t require Ambitions and won’t interfere with the career rewards if you do have Ambitions. + Up to 2 Sims can play at the same time. + They all cost $250 and you can find them under Kids \ Toys. + The tower and manor are recolorable (4 channels), the graveyard isn’t.

Playing journalist and police officer Sims comes with the added “perk” of having to go through a looot of grinding to advance to the top levels. Reports and reviews are an important metric of the Police and Journalism careers and give no Writing skill in return! Now they do, and they are also slightly fun to write :)
These are made for patch 1.63 and above. There’s only one visual issue: the skill and completeness progress meters will overlap. Nothing to be done about that.
Edited resources (ITUN): Police reports: WriteReport_Computer, WriteReport_HoloComputer Journalism reviews: WriteRabbitHoleReview_Computer, WriteRabbitHoleReview_HoloComputer Stakeout reports: WriteStakeoutReport_Computer, WriteStakeoutReport_HoloComputer
I’ve separated the mods so you can pick and choose. You can have all of them at the same time, and all of them increase the Fun motive.

Edit: just to clarify (damn you, rushed descriptions!), these objects have inventories. You can use them to store produce, gems, metals, bugs etc.
This is the winner of the second round in the poll (which is still open!): more decorative crap to fix, lol. They took a bit longer to test because I wanted to iron out some things before releasing them, and I’ve been fairly busy IRL as well. Next up: recolorable Seasons Easter eggs!
DR = default replacement, require the specified EPs, will replace EA versions NDR = non-default replacement, don’t require any EPs, don’t replace anything
Both DR and NDR versions require Treeag’s MiscStorage.package file to work, otherwise you won’t have any interactions. In that respect, they can still be used as decor if you want. The WA and IP treasure chests only come in NDR variety because I didn’t want them to interfere with the chests in tombs and dive lots.
Details:
+ You can find all these items under Storage \ Misc in the catalog. + The archives contain both the DR and NDR versions of the items, except for the basegame items (DR only) and the WA and IP chests (NDR only). + The items have separate inventories, so you can have a cabinet dedicated to fruit, another dedicated to gems, another for vegetables etc.
Download the items:

As you can tell, I’m on a texture roll, haha. This download contains some University textures and two fixed textures from the basegame and Ambitions (they had a few annoying grid lines left there by mistake, as a result of the patterns being made through this procedure):
1. Monte Vista pavement (terrain paint): fixed. Default replacement only because it’s part of a patch, it doesn’t require the Store world. 2. AMB pebbles (terrain paint): fixed. Comes in DR and NDR versions. 3. UNI pavement (terrain paint): a bit darker and crisper than the original. 4. UNI Weathered Wood (pattern): found under Wood, horizontal and vertical versions, recolorable with 3 channels -- you can see how these look on the armchairs and bookcase in the first pic. 5. UNI Dark Bricks (pattern): found under Masonry, recolorable with 4 channels. They were initially dark green, but I recolored them.
All the terrain paints show up under Stones & Pavers.

I was NOT planning on doing this but, while looking for something for another project, I came across these terrain paints that seem to be used in Twinbrook, the world that came with Ambitions. As they don’t appear in the catalogue, I assume they’re used for the world rather than lots. So I made them basegame compatible and usable as regular terrain paints :) The archive contains the four terrain paints above: the two at the top are the Ambitions ones, and the greener and very green ones are variations I made. You can find all of them in the Grass category. They are not default replacements! Download them all here

I seem to find something I’m displeased with like every day, haha. This time I was annoyed that I couldn’t reposition the sketches made with the architect’s drafting table from AMB, so I looked through the files and made this small mod. Requires Ambitions! I edited the workbenchDraftingCanvas object. Download here

Do you play large families with a lot of laundry and are tired of clothes taking forever to dry, especially on the clothesline? Yeah, me too. Here’s a mod that reduces the time necessary for the clothes to dry by half, 5 times, or to one hour. Conflicts with anything that edits the DryerCheap, DryerExpensive, DryerDorm, DryerVenueLaundry and Clothesline XMLs. Built on patch 1.63 but should not cause problems with other patch levels. Applies to all the laundry items in AMB, and the dryer from UNI. EA values: clothesline (CL) - ~12h, cheap dryer (CD) - 1.5h, expensive dryer (ED) - 45min, dorm dryer (DD) - 45min, laundromat (LM) - 45min 2x faster: CL - 6h, CD - 45min, ED - 20min, DD - 45min, LM - 20min 5x faster: CL - ~2.5h, CD - 18min, ED - 9min, DD - 18min, LM - 9min 1 hour*: clothesline, dryers and laundromat dry clothes in one hour
Download
2x faster | 5x faster | 1 hour
* the time for drying in the expensive dryer and laundromat venue was actually extended by 15 minutes for this version Edit: well, crap, here’s to more updating mods! Please redownload if you downloaded before this edit, I forgot to edit a condition for when the clothesline is placed outside >.<
