Where are my bsd tma crossovers and aus!? Like what the fuck are you guys doing this has so much unexplored potential. I don't care if you do it with abilities or without, I just want my bsd tma au fics, and not just trying to make the bsd characters into the archive staff, or just having the bsd characters show up in the archive and beat everythings ass including the entities somehow even though the entities can't be beat EVEN with gravity, because Oh mY gOD sO sTroNg. No no no no I want to see them struggle, I want to see one of them get trapped, taken by the buried, went to the circus of the other and never come out, or something that is new and not one of the avatars from the og podcast, just something, even better don't have Ranpo figuring it out immediately, because number 1) that is just unrealistic even by Ranpo standereds, Ranpo is a man of logic, even if he does make some lapses in logic, but those lapses are possible to the world they are in, and we only really take them as lapses because we can't see Ranpo's process of thought, if we could see his thoughts then these lapses would probably make sense, however metaphysical entities (or possibly just one entity with a lot of variation) made of the fear of all living beings is nowhere near logical even in a world with abilites, which is another problem for Ranpo, because any avatars or weird shit could be blamed on abilites, of course it can't just be blamed on abilites forever, there are archives after all (archives and not archive because in the canon of tma there are shown to be multiple archives, which also brings up the possiblity of multiple archivists at the same time, which is something i chose to believe in) and there wouldn't be archives or at least not to the public, if none thought what they saw was supernatural. Ranpo also wouldn't have access to the actual archive only the library where there is barely anything of actaul note, which brings me to number 2) it could make Ranpo an eye avatar, now why isn't Ranpo already an eye avatar? Because he's never actually had to try, he always figures it out in just a few seconds so he's never really felt that drive to know, never had that feeling of curiosity or the need to know even if it kills you, because he has always known, but now he doesn't, there is to much missing, he can try and find solutions that might work but none of them feel right, like there is some missing puzzle piece that he can't for the life wrap his head around, this has never happend before even with Dazai, though he struggle figured out most of it at least, not this time, this time he has nothing, no idea of what is going on, he is stuck in a desert and ever time he thinks he sees water, or just some kind of salvation it turns out to be a hallucination, a concoction from the mind of a desperate man, and this is where shame sets in, because if he can't solve something so simple then could he really call the greatest detective, and this shame transforms into that need, that need to know even if it kills him. Now there is a lot of places you can take this idea, will Ranpo go to his local spooky eye place? Will he be a freelancer? Well it is almost a guarantee that he will drive away the other members of the detective agency with his obsession. Of course you can come up with your own ideas. This is just one of many ideas i have, and i am probably also going to post some of them too. Now onto a real question how are avatars going to attack ability users, well the entities are very adaptable, in the og podcast they just had to deal with normal humans, now however since there are gifted they are most likely going to make stronger avatars, plus because of gifted the avatars will have to be smarter about how they go about their hunting, also there are probably also going to be gifted avatars, but case and point the entities and avatars are going to adapt, so they will always be at the top of the good chain. 🐾 During this phase, they can't feel your emotions. You can cry on sad moments till your throat hurts, or laugh so loud, that at least five streets heard you, but for characters you will remain as a gaze of an emotionless entity in the sky.

🐾 Only character, who are you talking about, can hear you, even if the second character is near the first. (Example, only Atsushi heard, that you were praising him for saving Kyouka, while Kyouka was standing near him).

Consequences: Armed Detective Agency and Port Mafia are creating an alliance to find a way to your world.

🐾 The Guild has joined the union. After the Cannibalism arc, Rats also joined. After Perfect Crime - Mushitarou and Gogol. The Government are looking, if there are more Self-Aware characters, but also can be considered a part of the group.

Consequence: No more plot chains. Characters can do anything they want.

Atsushi - The Avatar

I thought it would be fitting since Byakko is implied to be reincarnating????? Also the Netflix preview got me excited.

AU Premise

**None of the canon characters from ATLA or LOK are gonna be referenced UNLESS it’s to justify bending rules.**

Republic City exists, but it’s less western base, bc I didn’t like that lmfaooo (Basically Yokohama but as it was in the 1930-50s). White people???? Huh?? Ig they exist now??? 😨

Lore Plot:

Red Lotus killed the last avatar because they wanted to find the new one, for some enlightenment reasons (IDK radicals man). The hunt for the new one wanted to take and raise the new avatar to push their own agenda. The man that did it, passed down his legacy to Fyodor (water), and he was the one to find Atsushi. Atsushi was around 5-8 and was from the northern water tribe. Atsushi’s parent was the moon’s spirits guardians (funny ha ha bc his’s design in literally Yin and Yang to Aku). Fyodor takes Atsushi, and isolates him with the other spiritual believers. They raise him, misinforming him greatly over what being the avatar actually means. Though he has a pretty good connection to his bending, Fyodor being his water bending master. They located somewhere in the north-pole.

In this time, everyone is looking for the avatar, but in like that way where you are like “here kitty kitty pspspsp.” And they even have a bounty for him. Bring him back alive ofc! In this, Dazai (Air) and Yosano (Water) are adopted siblings from a young age from Mori (Fire). Dazai at 18 splits off and becomes a traveling nomad, bc he fucking felt like it. Yosano was 14 when Fukuzawa (Air) saved her. Mori would make Yosano blood-bend, and so when she got free, she swore to never blood-bend again. She now uses her bending, and became one of the best healers.

The Armed Detective Agency works similar to canon in this, but has a specialized duty to find the avatar and turn them over to the white lotus. It’s extremely hard to get into the ADA, and forces benders to really push themselves. (In a way higher than the police force) Dazai joins, and is basically the ADA’s lost cat that goes away and comes back with something either helpful or cursed.

Dazai got leads on Fyodor bc Atsushi accidently used the avatar state when he found some new (and/or) prob figured out what happened to his family. Dazai basically yoinks Atsushi from the isolated village, running back on all fours with the weretiger dangling from his mouth /j. Dazai shows up, drops the avatar off, then bounces. Even though Fyodor’s spiritual training and water-bending was severely indepth, Atsushi lacked alot of common sense. Atsushi’s abuse in this is more intense psychological punishment more then the physical one in canon. He’s.. alittle messed up, but besides the point. Regardless how much bad stuff he went through, he was genuinely sweet. The stress of the truth tho, threw him off balance, so he is hesitant to go into the avatar state.

Atsushi’s bending teachers / relationship

Water: Fyodor. Strictly mentor and caregiver. He sucked at caring for Atsushi’s needs, and only was interested in talking when Atsushi asked about spirtual connection and Philosophical debates. Spent most of his childhood till Dazai yoinks him at 18

Earth: Kunikida. He sucked at it originally, but Atsushi was so determine, he ends up asking for help to connect. Atsushi warms up to him, looking up to him for strength.

Air: Dazai. The third one, and he’s stressed. Dazai runs circles around Atsushi, causing so much mental strain. Atsushi gets frustrated, and nearly gave up, but Dazai manages to get a mutual understanding.

Fire: Kyouka. Though younger, Kyouka was the fastest firebender. She constantly beat Atsushi when the Port Mafia sent her out. (He gets saved by the ADA a lot lol)

Character Mentions

Ranpo: A none bender. Works with the Republic City police force, but spends most of his time with the ADA. He actively helps them get around the police.

Akutugawa: Earth Bender. He can bend metal, and is actually really scary (..er?)

Chuuya: I go back and forth between earth and fire. And I think earth bc of his boom boom, smash kapow moments in canon. I thought fire cause hehe red.

Nikolai: Air. He’s that one guy that does flips and is nearly impossible to get a hold off. Boys a slinky. He’s Fyodor’s right hand man… they even… KISS?

I said I was going to make this post a couple of weeks ago, so, uh, well. Here it is

right, so, Mori. I don't want to say that he has a Elias-like role going on, because I think that would be an insult to my dear Elias, but he does. He's the Elias of this au

In the Port Mafia, Mori prefers if none of the executives are permanently associated with any entity other than the Web (his patron). They can be touched by other Entities, of course, hardly anyone goes into this kind of business without coming into contact with one of them, but the only Avatar he has recruted that is not from the Web is Chuuya. And well, there's Dazai.

Dazai who he purposely groomed into being of the Eye. He'll be much more useful that way, Dazai is already very good at manipulating people, with the unlimited information provided by the Eye he will be absolutely perfect! So yeah, he made Dazai an Archivist. Not that Dazai didn't notice what Mori was doing, he just didn't care enough to do something against it.

The only person who cared was Oda, dear Oda, touched by the End but never really let himself get lost in it. Oda, who Dazai saw the life leave his eyes like a cloud of darkness draining out of his soul. Oda, who would rather die than live as a monster, a monster Dazai himself was Becoming.

So Dazai ran away, thinking that perhaps the process could still be stopped. Dazai wasn't in the habit of being so foolishly hopeful, but it was a nice feeling for a few days, a few ignorant days before he needed to understand that one doesn't have to literally die to Become, and Dazai had died the day he finally tried to escape. And that's what condemned him.

I remember back when FFVII was new, there was this whole fan outcry about Aerith's death. And there were fansites and things all over the place about secret codes to bring her back, or theories about how she wasn't Really dead. I mean it was a Big Deal. Aerith died, and she stayed dead the rest of the game.

While Cait Sith has this whole dramatic self sacrifice scene around the temple of the black materia. And then you get out of the temple, pick up the materia, and wha-hey, here's Cait 2.0 bouncing up to greet you!

And the game writers did this on purpose, or so they said. They were Commenting on the cheapness of video game death, or something like that. So Cait Sith's death and 2.0-ness was playing it up, while Aerith stayed rock solid cold because that drove home the seriousness of the situation.

And I think about this quite a bit when reading BSD of late. Because in the beginning it felt like death was a real danger. We were even kind of afraid for Dazai, drowning in the river. But by the end of the Muersault bit it's become utterly dismissable. "Yeah, I know. He's drowning in a room without an exit. Falling sixty stories in a steel trap. Shot in the head on camera. He'll be fine."

And now it's "Oh. Yeah, they've been chopped into mincemeat on camera. I'm sure it'll be okay. Just wait a few more chapters and we'll see how the trick is done."

That has to be a deliberate narrative choice. Asagiri's spent a hell of a lot of time cheapening death more and more over the course of the series, and I can't help but think that the fact the main macguffin of said series is a reality-rewriting book has a lot to do with this.

Like...over the course of the series...they've all become like Dazai. No matter what happens to them, death isn't going to happen. Like Dazai's just...ahead of this particular curve. (And, like Fyodor, he would be. Most of the cast don't want to die. They wouldn't push that line. But Dazai's been trying to die since he was fifteen and yet nothing. ever. works....)

What happens if you realize you're a main character in a story, and the author doesn't want to let you die?

And Atsushi is if anything the avatar of that kind of story. Didn't Yosano say it? "It's not regeneration. It's like the injury never happened in the first place." Atsushi's had that kind of Wile E Coyote immunity from the beginning. He's the protagonist. He has literal plot immunity.

What if...what if Fyodor's goal this entire time has been to render the story so ridiculous that it must be rewritten?

There is no real trigger for these days unlike the other ones, these days are just bad simply to be bad. His senses are heightened to the point of overwhelming overstimulation; his brain is foggy but coherent enough to send him down a dark and a very deep tunnel if given the chance; his fingers twitch and itch to grab something, anything that could be used to inflict harm on himself; despite his half working mind for everything else, it works 100% just for paranoia to the point he has to keep checking behind himself because the feeling of eyes on his back is achingly uncomfortable. ↪ Ryuunosuke works in the Port Mafia Studios as a V-Tuber. No one knows of this, except for Gin and the Port Mafia company.

↪ Gin works as a V-Tuber designer for their customisable avatars. Her job is able to grant the two of them a small house near their university.

↪ The siblings go to Yokohama University, the one that most of the cast go to as well.

↪ Atsushi and Kyouka would live together and Kyouka would definitely cook because Atsushi probably has no idea how to / burned the kitchen down before in a pathetic attempt to. Most of the time they just have take-away.

↪ Poe mainly spends most of his time at home, all holed-up in his room, writing horror stories and mystery fanfiction. One time, Ranpo asked him to write a romance story and it actually blew up.

↪ Kouyou owns a small flower shop. Her adoptive son, Chuuya, sometimes helps out when he has time. Dazai, one of Chuuya's school-mates, one which he doesn't particularly like, once came into the shop looking rather lost. Chuuya had helped the brunette find a fitting bouquet of flowers, and they didn't speak of the incidence since.

↪ Kouyou worked at a preschool a long while ago, which is when she had met Kyouka. Other people that went to the preschool include Kenji, Kyouka, Elise, Q and Karma.

↪ Chuuya wants to be an actor and is in the same university as Dazai.

↪ Ango works in the Government and rarely goes home at all, being the workaholic he is, so usually his work college, Mizuki Tsujimura, has to take care of him.

↪ Oda used to own a bookstore called The Flawless Bookshop and had met Poe and Kunikida before through his occupation. They were regular customers who sometimes stopped by to chat with Oda. Now that Oda has passed away, Dazai manages the bookshop whenever he can.

↪ Kunikida would definitely be a maths teacher at a private school who specialises in algebra. He lives alone and his house is probably very organised and tidy.

↪ I feel like Dazai would be his very annoying neighbour that Kunikida tries to avoid at all costs (but obviously fails in).

↪ Dazai majors in Business Studies as well as Economics.

↪ Kenji helps out in An Encouragement of Learning by keeping everyone cheerful and marking the scores. Fukuzawa shows his appreciation by giving the boy glasses of milk whenever he drops by.

↪ Kenji actually lives with Chuuya and Kouyou and helps out with the flower shop whenever possible. Both Chuuya and Kouyou absolutely adore and treasure the blonde.

↪ Tachihara is a famous V-Tuber working under the company Port Mafia Studios. He lives with Higuchi and they go to the same university (Yokohama University).

↪ Usually, they bicker a lot. Tachihara and Higuchi had both had a slight, small (very insignificant) crush on Gin and strangely, they actually bonded over that.

↪ Higuchi likes eating Sakura Mochi and Cherry Blossom Dumplings. They, like Atsushi and Kyoka, go to the local crepe café to get the snacks. Tachihara and Higuchi split the payment are share the food.

↪ Several people have mistaken the pair as a couple, much to their amusement. Tachihara likes to jokingly flirt with Higuchi, and Higuchi likes to shoot pick up lines at the other. However, their relationship is purely platonic.

↪ Kajii is a lab scientist. He's basically the BSD Dottore equivalent. He locks himself in his lab all day to work on his projects and incoming reports. No one really knows much about him, except that he likes to talk really loudly and in complete, utter nonsense. He comes out of his lab-cave at night only to get a hot bowl of Chazuke.

↪ Paul and Arthur live together and both work under Port Mafia Studios. However, Arthur works in the economic part of the company and Paul works in the business part, like a spokesperson / ambassador (public speaking). They play chess on weekends and sometimes volunteer in the schools / community whenever they can.

↪ I don't know why, but I think Yosano would live with Ranpo and Fukuzawa and would be currently studying / getting a doctor degree.

↪ Ranpo and Yosano are seen as a sibling duo to their neighbours!

↪ Fukuzawa works in his office room all day, organising his small business on tutoring (An Encouragement of Learning). Ranpo likes to assist whenever he can by getting small treats for him.

↪ Mori owns the company Port Mafia Studios. He spends lots of money on people who design the avatars. Elise even gets her own avatar because she thought they looked really cool.

↪ Hirotsu works in the Port Mafia Studios, doing most of the paperwork and managing the connections. He thinks it's quite a boring job, but it's nice to see different recruits and get to know them.

↪ Higuchi is almost like a privately hired scout for Port Mafia Studios. She finds people that fit into the requirement for V-Tubers.

↪ The Tanizaki siblings live in the same apartment complex as Fukuzawa, Ranpo and Yosano. Naomi works at the same café as Lucy and I have a feeling Junichirou would work in The Flawless Bookshop. Junichiro also works part-time in a tutoring company called An Encouragement of Learning.

↪ They enjoy going to the local park often together. Sometimes when the evening is warm, the siblings get ice cream together. Naomi's favourite flavour is strawberry or taro and Junichirou likes vanilla or mango best. Sometimes, they even see Kenji, Kyouka, Elise, Q and Karma in the playground and wave to the little group as they pass.

↪ Fyodor, Sigma, Nikolai, Bram and Mushitarou live together. I really like the idea of combining the two groups together and how singularly, their energy is kind of muted, which together, they would all be a chaotic mess.

↪ They all share one house. Their neighbours often file complaints about how much yelling would come from the house on Saturday evenings, when the five would play card games / poker. The complaints got so bad that Kenji had to literally knock onto their door (only to get a goofy clown in his face).

↪ The Hunting Dogs minus Fukuchi and Tachihara (aka Teruko, Jouno and Tecchou) reside on the university campus. They love practicing Martial Arts in their backyard and sometimes they help out with the community. Other times, they go along their street with hand-baked cookies and offering a packet to each household.

↪ Jouno and Tecchou cannot cook nor bake. Teruko enjoys being able to feel helpful and also able teach them something new, as she takes Food Tech and Studies, as well as Maths.

↪ Jouno and Tecchou both take English, although I feel like Jouno would take Geography as well and Tecchou would take History, too.

↪ Aya Koda and Bram randomly met at the local park one fateful evening. It was a rather comical first-impression; Bram was swinging on a kids' playground swing and Aya and Q wanted to go on. The two had an intense staring match with a lot of yelling and Q screaming in the background.

↪ Now, Aya and Bram go to arcades on weekends. Q sometimes tags along with them and they spend all of Fyodor's bank credits on plushies and the like.

↪ There isn't much known about Shibusawa either, like Kajii. The man usually just stays in a university dorm on campus, but he studies Fashion Design Tech and is really good at it, especially the designing part of the criteria.

↪ Dazai claims to see Shibusawa and Fyodor at an ice rink together once. He reckons they were professional skaters and told everyone who would listen that he joined them. Nothing is really known about that recount.

Hello! This is my fanfiction recommendation blog. The fics in this blog were written by various authors from AO3, Quotev, and Tumblr. If you're looking for fics posted on Wattpad, please go to my Wattpad profile and check out my reading lists.

This blog isn't dedicated to any particular fandom, so don't be fooled by whatever my blog's current theme is. I post what I like. My main criterion to determine whether or not I post a fic here is whether or not I want to reread a fic someday. I'm a simple woman. (This blog is basically my library.)

Most of the fanfictions here are female reader or OC inserts. It's quite rare for me to post character/character fics because it's also rare for me to read character/character fics. Also, most, if not all, ships are straight. If they're supposed to be a gay ship, one of them is probably genderbent. Sorry. If that's not your cup of tea, you're free to click/tap away. currently watching: i just recently finished the latest season of bungo stray dogs. recent developments i.e. dazai's (not so) death was the driving force behind me starting this season. i'm watching the one-piece live-action too and started avatar with my friend because i never watched it growing up.

currently reading: aristotle and dante dive into the waters of the world - benjamin alire sáenz (i think i've been reading that for 3 months now), these violent ends - chloe gong (started a month ago), 1Q84 - haruki murakami (i've been reading that for over a year but bought the book in 2016 - started and stopped several times, reread the 1st chapter thrice but now i'm on book 3 - phew)

currently working on: more job applications....the grind never stops TT

current obsession: the unreal unearth hozier album. it's been over a month since it came out but i can't stop listening to it. i'm so excited to see him this december ahhhhh!! i'm still obsessed with trigun but now that bsd s5 finished airing, maybe that too

It's okay, I will answer your questions, it's not a problem at all.

1. SAGAU stands for Self-Aware Genshin AU. In this AU characters from Genshin Impact are self-aware and see Player as Teyvat's Creator and worship them. Have a bunch of sub AUs. The most popular sub AU - Imposter AU, where Player, after being transported into Genshin Impact, are being hunted, because Genshin Impact characters think, that they are an imposter. Can include a real Imposter, who get into Teyvat before Player and are the one, who ordered to hunt them. Imposter AU have their own list of sub AUs.

Self-Aware BSD AU was inspired by SAGAU.

Also, I have some fics about Self-Aware BSD AU x SAGAU Imposter AU Crossover.

Crossover AU plot in a nutshell - One year ago, Imposter got into Teyvat, destroyed Celestia and pretended to be a Real Creator. Imposter have a good reputation, and almost everyone trust and worship them, except for few people. A year passed, and, one day, Reader were transported into Teyvat. Imposter ordered to capture Reader and brought Reader to them. Reader were hunted for a month, until they got caught. After a week of torture, Reader were almost executed, but, right before the deadly strike, they were transported back to the real world.

Reader returned severely traumatized, both physically and mentally. And, while Yosano's ability cured them, Reader still have nightmares, afraid of Mori, have panic attacks and don't want to tell anything about what they went through in Teyvat.

Another month passed, and Capitano, Harbinger from Teyvat, got into the real world, trying to re-capture Reader. After he was dealt with and interrogated, BSD Cast learned about what Reader have gone through.

BSD Cast decided to punish everyone, who have hurt Reader.

2. Guiding Light is a nickname BSD Cast call Reader. Despite being mentioned in Yosano's entry for the first time, in AU's "lore" Dazai was the one, who came up with it.

Where it came from?

From two things.

1. Reader have a sort of an avatar in BSD World. A shapeless floating blob of light, called Little Light. Little Light is an embodiment of Reader's emotions. When Reader read light novels/manga, Little Light will follow after characters. During one part of Dazai's and Oda's "adventures" in "The day I picked up Dazai" novel, Little Light float before the duo, acting as a guiding light.

2. Reader like all characters and talked to them during emotional moments. Reader's words help BSD Cast, who feel empty/angry/lost feel better and realize, what they should do next, a.k.a. go to the real world to Reader.

Reader was called Guiding Light for the first time, when they cried with Dazai at the end of "Dark Era" novel.
