Alright. I used to disapprove of Evelyn's relationship with Alex due to Alex killing R, but now that R's been revived I'm willing to give it some more thought. And since as a polycule we make decisions together, I bring forward the following question:

Mom just started playing Elex II and she is so upset with the way Jax looks in this game. She was in love with him in the first game lol

So I've been playing Elex and it's sequel lately. Gotta say, I'm loving certain aspects of it! (and absolutely hating the combat) But I do have a few gripes I wanna get off my chest.

So first off, why do I have to team up with worst character ever, Ray? I wanted to off that guy the moment I found him! He stole my stuff, left me for dead, and when I finally caught up to him he wouldn't even tell me who he sold it to! Just wanted me to "let it go", oh sure, I'll let it go. Let this axe go right into your- WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE'S ESSENTIAL?!?

Ugh. Anyway, I also don't know why this game tries so hard to get me scammed? Outlaws, from the moment I meet them to the final quest, are always trying to screw me over. I may just do a run where I wipe them all out just to get a little revenge on them for always trying to swipe my money and the game treating it like "I'm" the one who's missing out.

Lastly, why is it that it's so easy to make enemies in this game? I could accidentally hit someone once when fighting a huge group of monsters, put my weapon away, and still get attacked by every member of that faction! Not to mention if you have a companion (it's a must in this game if you want to survive at low level) they will escalate the situation by killing as much as possible! And then I get blamed for it! I could easily lose affection with someone because they killed an important person of their own faction! And god help you if you walk into somewhere you're not supposed to be. The group of armed guards blocking your only exit are gonna make it real hard to leave before everyone turns agro and- whoops! There goes your friend, murdering their own grandma again! How very dare I allow that to happen.

But seriously, despite everything I had fun with the first game and I'm liking the second pretty well. Lots of chances to start a new game and join a different faction or test out different loadouts. And the story! No spoilers, but figuring out how things fit together was pretty cool. The whole game could use a little more polish, but it's way better than the game rating said it would be.
