Do you do all your pieces digitally?👀 just curious bc you get some WONDERFUL textures on a lot of them. I’m such a big fan of your art, it’s always so cool and beautiful, no matter what your subject is. Fan girling over, but if you do them digitally is it photoshop then? Or procreate?
Much love, i hope you have a great day
🦊
Hey thank you so much :) ! Yes they're all done digitally on Krita and Ibis Paint! I use Ibis Paint to do the sketches and set down the colors (with blurring marker 1 brush) the textured part with rendering is all done on Krita the bruses I use are dry bristles, dry brushing and RGBA 04 Impasto
The main brush I use is R T Masked 2 from a free bundle I found online now I don't remember where I found it but the name might be " Radian pack large bundle" the other brush I use from the same bundle is R FR Dirty :)
When I really want something to pop or have an Extra textured look I draw it on a separate layer than use Kritan sharpen mode which you can find when you click on Filter then Ehance !

Can it be thats constant use off Dark Magic helped in someway to surppress specfic emotions?
In Virens case, he lost over time the kindess and insight he had and regained it after being purifed of it after death. Which explains why he cut ties with Aaravos and Claudia.
By Aaravos can be the same, due being the inventor of it. Why he still loves Leola, his century-long use of Dark Magic propably ehanced his desire for revenge and thats he lost the focus over time.

Every so often I think of an au where Aven ends up adopted by Gopher Wood alongside Robin and Sunday.
It would ehance the halovian sisters motivation. Sunday would be even more motivated to create a world without pain if her little brother was a survivor of genocide and was so violently stripped of his culture and family. Robin would have a even more motivation to advocate for peace and end conflicts without violence and death.
Also I feel like if Aven was unhinged when he had nothing to lose, he would be even more if he had people to protect, bcs he is not losing another sister.

'For so sworn good or evil an oath may not be broken and it shall pursue oathkeeper and oathbreaker to the world's end.'

Thorsten Oakland, one of the noblest of the Northmen, greeted the Lady Elara of Golodhrim, with a small head bow.
"You needn't bow, my friend" Elara said touched by his gesture. She knew that it was a custom to bestow honour to her and her kin.
"I wish we had met in other circumstances" Thorsten said offering the elfin lady a seat under the great oak tree.
"Thank you. I also wish we had met for a solstice celebration. But, dark times are ahead of us and we have no time for anything else, I'm afraid." Elara sighed a little.
"There is one celebration I hope you'd stay for." Thorsten said with a sweet glitter in his eyes.
"What?"
"The Folkmoot has made me a Jarl." Thorsten replied. "Tomorrow is the feast of Sigrblót, too. I would love you to be my guest of honour."
"Oh, yes. Sumardagurinn. First day of summer. Light winning over darkness. I've forgotten about what time of year it is wirh everything that's going on." Elara said.
Thorsten could tell by the way the sparkle in her eyes dim that she was not a bearer of good news.
"There is a name that we found among the old Valar scrolls that kept appearing again and again. The Sagas like you said spoke of a child half god, half human." Elara said.
"Melkor had a child then after all?" Thorsten looked at elfin straight in the eyes.
"It appears that way" Elara replied.
"The name?"
"Heolstor" Elara said.
A short silence followed. Both knew what darkness would come to pass. And they would be ready. In her heart, Elara was weary for the man, as he was not immortal and didn't get the gift of ehanced life. "You are not obliged to follow us in this war. I'm here to talk about a wall that we decided to build to keep your people safe."
"A wall?"
"Yes. If you agree. I mean - if the Folkmoot agrees. I cannot see you perish - not you" Elara put her hand on the Northman's.
His eyes shot down at the elfin's silken hand on his, and then at her mild eyes, softest brown infused with green, as if she held the new spring growth inside. They were the forest floor and the gentle flowers, somewhere to rest and breathe.
He exhaled. His other hand folding hers."We made the oath full realising that the day may come when we needed to make good on its promise, to prove that for all that is sacred we are willing to pay with our own lives, and in doing so Gods will keep our souls safe."
Elara's eyes watered. She nodded and squeezed his hand lightly.

SOLDIER Mako Infusion/Enhancement Headcanon(s)
In my ideas, mako infusions are given as intravenous (IV) injections and subcutaneous (Sub-Q) injections, Sub-Q because while IV disperses throughout the whole body rapidly, Sub-Q will be injected into the fat under the skin, and that takes much longer to ‘invade’ the system.
This is important because mako is a foreign substance. The body actively attempts to metabolize it and get rid of it. For this reason, IV and Sub-Q enhancements are used in conjunction to space out infusion sessions and keep higher levels of mako in SOLDIER systems for longer.
Mako when injected gives a burning, stinging sensation because it’s incredibly toxic. Since mako cuts SOLDIER lifespans drastically, it’s safe to surmise that mako irritates the tissue it comes in contact with (and yes, blood is a tissue).
SOLDIERs aren’t allowed to take certain drugs prior to infusions, such as blood-thinners because they can cause excess bleeding.
Mako, because of its toxic nature, doesn’t have the most pleasant effects at first. They go away as a tolerance is built up, but to start off, especially when SOLDIERs first begin recieving the infusions/ehancements, such as unthriftiness, weakness, muscle stiffness, inflammation, headaches, dizziness, lack of coordination, etc.
The symptoms go away as SOLDIERs build tolerance, and over time, the body begins to become overwhelmed and it stops recognizing mako as a ‘threat’ or pathogen and just begins to allow mako to coexist in the body, even if that’s not great as mako often acts as a competitive substance in the body and can cause other health issues, especially issues due to mako taking the place of other molecules that are supposed to be in the body.
It varies based on individual, but I imagine mako infusions occur more frequently at the start to overload the body on purpose (forced coexisting), so probably at the start every 4-6 weeks, then probably every 8-12 weeks.

Okay, this is a bit longer than I expected so the ask intended for @daz4i has turned into its own post. huh. Context:
Tumblr media
[also this is not proofread or anything. I am literally just putting words together]
I pulled up the related manga chapter to quote it, but Fukuzawa’s ability, All Men Are Equal (the name is important too!) is described as “ability of inhibition (!) that grants a person control over their own (!) ability”, with the requirement being that said person should be considered Fukuzawa’s subordinate. Given the general nature of abilities and how much of them is a direct reflection of a given ability’s owner, the distinction between who is and who is not a subordinate is based on whom Fukuzawa himself considers one, and therefore the whole “must pass the ADA entrance exam (<- aka align with ADA’s values etc because that is also a part of exam evaluation or whatever)” is more of a self-imposed limit, since Fukuzawa himself could only consider someone as his subordinate (speaking of which, i wihs i knew Japanese so I could get into the original terminology used and not base everything of translations) if they are not only just working for him, otherwise such an extensive hiring process with personally fitted exams wouldn’t be such a necessity for him, but also someone sharing his values and being of respectable character. That is where “All Men Are Equal'' comes in for me - despite “subordinate” implying position of submission, for Fukuzawa it comes with sharing a common ground, not someone to follow his orders, but someone he trusts to act towards the same goals as him even on their own. I would get more into how that is influenced by irl Fukuzawa’s philosophies, but it is too late for me to go and reread his works right now, I’ll be real. TLDR: 1) it suppresses abilities 2) making them easier for the owner to control -> giving said owner more agency 3) and is influenced in his belief of general human equalness etc.
Fukuchi’s Mirror Lion is, at its core, the ability of the same type - let’s call it “stats boosting”. It enhances the potential/efficiency of any weapon he wields. The “weapon” in that case is a very broad concept - it involves things conventionally understood as weapons (example - sword), a rock he picks up, his own fist, even living beings like Bram (question mark on “living”) and. the entire Humankind Army (with Holy Sword and One Order respectively etc etc). Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that just as with Fukuzawa’s ideas of a subordinate, Fukuchi is limited by what he himself considers his weapon. Your weapon is your tool. You are the one controlling it. Going back to Bram, Fukuchi is the one wielding him. There are no shared grounds or values or respect here. His ability enhances instead of inhibiting, yes, but it also takes control from anyone but Fukuchi. Allow me to mention the inspiration behind the ability for further illustration, a kabuki titled Kagami Jishi / Mirror Lion. It tells a story of a young lady chosen to perform the lion dance during the New Year celebration and getting possessed by the lion spirit as she practices the dance. ”Gradually the spirit of the lion entered into her and took complete charge of her limbs. [...] Finally the dancing maiden disappeared altogether, leaving only the rampaging spirit of a lion” <- quote from a summary by A.C. Scott. Taking source into account, the notion of Fukuchi taking control over what *or who* he considers his weapon is very intentional, and is definitely a reflection of the trauma Fukuchi got during the war, both in commiting atrocities and war crimes on command of government (in that, his ability can be seen as reclamation of control and agency) and in going through this alone (see - without Fukuzawa, who refused to join him). Where Fukuzawa can put trust in his subordinates and their actions, Fukuchi has learnt he can only depend on himself. TLDR: 1) it ehances abilities (in its broader meaning, not just Abilities abilities) 2) but gives full control in Fukuchi’s hands <- strips of agency 3) and reflects his general attitude of seeking control
Clearly, Fukuzawa’s and Fukuchi’s abilities are as much of polar opposites as abilities of the same “type” can be, which reflects their shared history as much as their individual views - they used to be best friends until making a cardinally different choice in life, putting them in vastly different life situations and, eventually, on opposing sides.

i'm not in a current mindset where High Honor Arthur is better than Low Honor. To me they are both canon.
Here im talking about full on Low. Not helping John get his family we're talking about the hardcore Arthur.
I mean i love high honor for obvious reasons but the low option is actually pretty interesting in terms of how he deals with his own turmoils and emotions.
He's a man who openly calls out Dutch on his bullshit and hypocrisy while being aware of his own bad way and doing nothing to change that because he is dead on about him being unable to change and collect himself. The good in him is not sufficient to try harder and help from the bottom of his heart.
It feels like he tries to help himself coming to term with how cruel and unforgiving he is but i'd argue that it's not the case-- he's not helping himself, he is bringing himself down. TB didn't gave him a new outlook on life; it cruched him and made him bitter for being a fool and he feels like there is nothing he can do and he surely won't do it, because he don't want to do it.
I don't think it only comes from a place of apathy but more from fatalism
He doesn't see himself as a bit of good not only because he never done anything remotely selfless, but because Arthur is a man who values how poeple think about him to certain degree-- how people praise him or loath him. The low honor path ehance that fact in a unsane way: he was fucked over by the man he thought as his father, the man who praised him and called him son. And he is bitter. He is simmering in his own anger and foolishness that it dulls his own sense of justice. His own turmoil revolves around how love is intrinsect to loyalty. I'm sure he doesn't even believe people truly loves him. Why would they?
He doesn't even want to aknowledge that Tilly's going to miss him you know? He stops her short. Doesn't want to hear it.
He never had a chance to internalize what he felt and wanted cause he didn't see himself like that. Arthur being someone who cares for people is a core theme of his character but if you, as the player, chose not to dig deeper and try to end the cycle of violence, it won't end well. Each path is plausible with the life he had.
He had good in him, but somewhere along the way it gets buried and muddled.
So now i want to talk about returning to camp for the money in full Low Honor
He arrives, fights with Micah etc etc Dutch.
But one thing really clicked for me when he said "ive come back to get back what's mine"
Not only Arthur is selfish presented during a Low Honor route, but him getting back what's his can be read the obvious way-- Blackwater money, the only thing keeping them from getting back out West, the thing Dutch kept to himself with Micah's help. Arthur was betrayed by his father figure and even dying wanted to take it as a prize for how much he did for a man who deceived all of them and especially him.
So what about Micah? Well, all of the above is applied to it. Micah's the rat, he fucked the gang, fucked his entire life and fucked the rocky foundation of Dutch's way that possibly wasn't even real from the beginning.
So technically, it's not really a Redemption. He's not repenting for his sins as his last action is driven by selfishness and revenge.
He does not want Micah to die by his hand for the sake of the gang.
It's personal.
So, if the game is about Redemption-- and he wants to cope what''s his;
Where is it? Where is the beackon of light?
Well...Redemption is also a financial term for repayment.
That's the redemption of Arthur, killing the rat and taking the gold his is own Pony up to Dutch and Micah for allowing all that shit that happened.
But it never comes. Dutch's doesn't kill Micah when Arthur orders him to, and Micah gets to walk away after shiving the shit out of him in the heart and back.
Not only he doesn't get any personal Redemption but he doesn't get to give payback.
Ain't that tragically hilarious.
He thought he lived a sinful life, and he died a sinful death. There's no redemption. He's not allowed.
Don't get me started on the meaning of the stab wound, one in the heart for the love he had for Dutch who got crushed-- and one in the back by the betrayal of his father figure by the man whom he trusted more than his own son-- the real rat

Sliding this docket across the table for the Volescu Appreciators in the chat.
This is a lovely fic about the PresvationAux squad doing a gift exchange. Murderbot struggles with the task and who comes in to help out? Our sensible and worm-averse ole' reliable Dr. Volescu.
The fluffy friendship flavor is really ehanced by the gentle touch of existential angst. It's a good fic.
