My path to becoming a psychologist was not a direct one. Immediately after college, I worked as a business community organizer in the United States Peace Corps in the West Indies. Then, I returned home and joined the United States Naval Reserves. After the military, I worked in corporate America as a loan manager. hypnotherapy - I know what it is but at the same time I don't. Would a hypnotherapist be able to loke guide us to the void?
It’s a good question but might take a little explaining. So hypnotherapy is kind of an unregulated field. When someone wants to become a doctor, massage therapist, teacher or similar profession, they have to take a set curriculum of classes and become licensed by a federally accredited board, and remain up to date with their licensing and certifications.
When someone wants to become a life coach or hypnotherapist, there is no real standard, no board, no licensing requirements. You don’t even need any kind of professional training or licensing to be a life coach or hypnotherapist (which is kinda scary tbh)
I took a one-year coaching certification course in 2019 so I am “certified” in life & success coaching, EFT, hypnotherapy, NLP, and TIME Techniques - meaning I now have the knowledge to practice these techniques on myself and my friends/family/clients/whatever. But I only learned some basic hypnosis techniques and have a couple of scripts so I could record my own or guide others through it.
I did enjoy my class and I did learn a lot. But it’s kind of a meaningless piece of paper because the entire industry is unregulated, anyone can make their own coaching course and their own methods/techniques and tell people they’re certified in whatever they want. It’s pretty much just a free-for-all.
So all that to say, just because someone is a hypnotherapist doesn’t actually mean they know what they’re doing. They would have to continue their education beyond the basics to learn more advanced techniques and have much more experience.
I was not taught any techniques that would be helpful for entering the void or guiding someone else to it. Since most people in general don’t know about the void state, finding a hypnotherapist who knows about it would most likely be hard to find.
I do really like hypnosis tho and it works well for me, so a couple weeks ago I was looking on YT for a guided hypnosis for the void and I did find one, like only one. “Extra deep hypnosis - into the void”. Although I’m not sure if she knows exactly the power of the void, it’s meant to get you into a deep thoughtless state of relaxation.

I tried it once and she is a very good & skilled hypnotherapist. It is a safe & effective video and I plan on trying it again to enter. But as a warning, her channel has a lot of bizarre NSFW hypnosis videos too, so don’t go looking around her other videos unless you are 18+ and want to be shocked 😂😂

UP, Sherman Hill December 1966
Less than 2 months old at this point, half of Union Pacific's C630 fleet lifts a train over Sherman Hill in December 1966. The 10 locomotives delivered in October represented the last order UP would ever place with Alco. They remained in service until 1973, at which point they were retired from the roster and sold to DM&IR.

How about a Headcanon for Priscilla "The Killa" Paddock and her daughter Pearl please?
Surprised I didn't get this one way back but here's a few that's been in my head since the finale
-Priscilla helped refuges out of Newtopia when the castle rose up, she was lucky to be on the outskirt of the city and didn't deal with any falling debris but rushed in to help when needed.
-Priscilla fought a bunch of Frobots while saving folks who were trapped in the ruins, either by debris or by being captured by the frobots. She began wearing their metal armor as a warning to them to not mess with her.
-Pearl stayed back at the refugee camp at first but trained hard and eventually snuck her way into the city to help her mom. Pri didn't like her eft being in danger but knew that she couldn't stop her and so helped train her even more.
-Pearl met Bella the Bellhop and they bonded while in camp. Tho' they'd go down different paths after the war, they still meet up occasionally
-After the war Pearl started training to become a gladiatorial fighter and even began touring around the continent with her mom as her couch/manager. This eventually lead to her meeting Polly while stopping off at Wartwood.
-Priscilla eventually retired and opened her own dojo and also manages several professional fighters. When the Trio came back, she had a rematch with Anne and Sprig...it was brutal
-Pearl and Polly became pen pals and when Polly went to move to New Newtopia to be closer to her new research lab, Pearl offered her place for Polly to use since she (Pearl) didn't use it that much as she's often on the road.
-Priscilla likes Polly but plays up the "what are your intensions with my daughter?" act whenever she's talking with her.

Awakening, part 2
While he swam to the shore, Ombra looked back and around. He reached a simple and sad explanation: the capital suffered from some disaster that turned it into a lake and crystallised the surroundings into spiky, tortured shapes. But when he arrived near the shore, he changed his mind. This area had weathered several disasters. There were trees where they hadn't grown before and rusty remnants of unknown elongated machines scattered about. He was sitting waist-deep in the water and right behind him was something gigantic — a building or some other machine, with the dead body of a Great Dragon wrapped around it like an exquisite ornament. Ombra turned once more and shivered. The Crystal Tower stood, regardless of any disasters, as awkward (or, as Allag said, beautiful) as ever. It looked menacing and out of place standing there, surrounded by a completely new landscape…

The sounds that he heard from further along the shore did not remind him of a bustling city, tirelessly rebuilding itself after a catastrophe. The noises of wild animals meant there were no people nearby. He now had another problem: where could he get some clothes? Fighting partially naked to attract attention is a gladiator's job, but it's not very useful in the wild.
Ombra could not sit under the rock outcrop forever. He had to get to the shore and at least find shelter before he went looking for people. Нe swam to a place where he could just walk up, so he did not have to climb to get out of the water. The ground was stone with patches of grass and moss on it, but his feet were not used to it, so he had to be careful not to injure his heels. Ombra easily avoided snakes that rustled and efts that stomped around, being hectic in their own way. But then only the senses he had trained as a gladiator saved his life: someone attacked him from behind. Ombra rolled away and looked back to find out that it was a giant with an axe, long hair and a face without a nose. The axe caught his attention, for it was his favourite weapon in the arena. The giant roared something indistinct, though Ombra felt that some words were surely from the common language. He rolled again, to get closer to the giant. The sudden enemy's short legs might not be an obvious target, but as a gladiator he had fought unarmed, and the kneecap was always a weak point. The speed at which his blood boiled in the heat of battle was reassuring: his appearance might have changed, but his strength, skill and reflexes remained the same. Fighting completely naked made him even more energetic, for in such a state Ombra could not afford to miss a blow. But large creatures were always noticeably slower than smaller ones, and his fast-made plan succeded. The enemy's kneecap was broken, the giant fell on his knees and the gladiator landed the final blow to his head, right on the almost missing nose. Ombra immediately jumped away to avoid the potential counter, but the giant died quickly, groaning before falling to the ground with a loud thud. So he picked up the axe, but the giant's loincloth was dirty and too big for him. He found a clean piece of it and, struggling, tore off enough to cover the most sensitive part from random hits and branches.
Looking around to see if he had attracted the attention of the animals, Ombra suddenly saw a wide trail. Could it have been made by giants? He walked to it and looked in both directions: one led straight to the spiky crystals among the fallen tower domes, and the other to the human-built wall: the gates in it were too small for giants. The choice was obvious, and Ombra went to search for people, feeling his feet begin to ache. The trail might turn into a road one day, and it was already too hard to walk barefoot. The closer he got, the more he saw of the wall. There was a watcher and guards, definitely well equipped — and no giants.

The guards looked at him with curiosity and awareness, but seemed to see no danger in him. Ombra exhaled in relief. He would not be able to handle two armoured enemies with only an axe anyway, and it was good to know that the people here, whoever they were, did not see strangers as enemies. The talk with guards was even more relieving. They spoke a common language with various accents and word changes that did not cause misunderstandings. The guards heard the giant's roar and believed Ombra's simple story of being robbed on the road and not even knowing where he had ended up. With the warmth usual among warriors, they welcomed a naked man who had defeated a giant, and guided his next steps in the new world. The place was called Revenant's Toll. It was a place for adventurers (whatever the guards meant, probably mercenaries?) of all kinds, and Ombra could get some help there to start a new life, for this small town was built for that very purpose.

So, we know the Shadow is made up of two people: the powerful entity itself and its host.

This theory is mainly based on the conditions of Bastian's curse. Why did the Shadow allow Bastian to leave after catching him in the cabin and why did it decide to wait until he turned 33? Sure, its reason that Bastian was still much too young to be of any use to him is valid, but why wait until his 33rd birthday? Couldn't the Shadow have immediately took him back once Bastian hit adulthood at 18??

And, as far as we know, 33 isn't a significant number in this universe so why that number?? Once his 33rd birthday came, he wasn't even immediately turned into a shadow, just had multiple nightmares and hauntings over the course of a week or two before it FINALLY came for him.

In EFTS, when Bastian and Laia were running towards the portal back to Hidden Town, the entity (separated from Ezio at the time) was using a lot of its power to restrain the two and have them turned into shadows immediately. But when it was fused with Ezio/the dad, it wasn't in any hurry to turn Bastian into a shadow. I'd like to think that since Ezio was able to separate from the entity (through the help of Erduval's Eye), the entity has not fully fused with Ezio's soul like it did with his dad. Because Ezio was only 3 years into the position of host when this happened, the process must be a slow one.
My theory is that Bastian's father (the host at the time of the curse) tried to negotiate with the entity to delay his son's transformation into a shadow for as long as possible without pissing it off. The entity may be more powerful of the two but the host could theoretically influence some decisions here and there. He agrees to the age of 33 so that Bastian could enjoy his childhood and be able to experience adulthood before the curse would drag him right back in. The father might have even thought of finding a way to reverse the curse before the inevitable 33rd birthday came. This is where Ezio's studies came in.

The Shadow may have tricked Ezio into studying Shamalu and other forms of dark magic in guise of finding a way to save his brother but it is actually training him to become the next host after his dad has been completely fused into the entity. Once Bastian turned 33, Ezio tried his best to delay his transformation as long as possible, just like his dad tried to do. He could've convinced the entity to just keep Bastian in Penumbra and just leave him alone there. And even during Bastian's escape attempts in Another Shadow and EFTS, the Shadow ONLY GAVE HIM WARNINGS AND JUST LEFT IMMEDIATELY.

For an entity keen on turning people into as many shadow slaves as possible, it sure is giving Bastian a lot of passes before getting impatient and finally snapping at the climax of EFTS.

Shaky hands–a stark contrast to his perfect posture and confident façade��clutched at the orange sphere within them as Minyong entered the familiarly cold and quiet evaluation room. His usual warm grin graced his lips the moment he was given his cue. The subtle rasp of his husky voice resounded throughout the room as he did his best to project enough for the camera to pick it up, feigning the utmost confidence in his choice of performance. “Hey guys- I’m Jang Minyong, a 20 year old trainee of 2 years from Jeonju.” He gave the basketball a bit of a toss, effectively allowing it to spin on his middle finger.. ”And I’m uh-” His gaze finally fixated on the camera before him, his words stammering shortly after. He followed with a nervous laugh before pushing through with the rest of his introduction. “Sorry, meant to say that my goal is to debut as an idol that can produce his own music, and bring a sense of calm and belonging to anyone who’s having a rough time in their life. And though it's a little challenging, I'll continue to strive to be the idol that you can look up to. Someone who can make you smile and laugh even on your hardest days.” He raised an arm up to allow the basketball to glide down his arm, across his shoulders and to his other hand. “And today? I’m going to sing the beginning of crush sunbae’s nappa while spinning this basketball,” He gestured to the ball with his now spare hand, “the entire time– hopefully.” Truth be told, his entire routine was last minute– In fact he had only picked the song a mere 30 minutes before entering the room so he had no clue how it was going to turn out. Minyong emit a charming laugh before clearing his throat, and flicking the sphere up and onto the tip of his middle finger again; his hand wobbling from side to side to keep his finger centered on it. Naturally (aka much to his dismay) , the performance went well. The chorus eft him in perfect timing to the instrumental that played in the background. From looking at him alone, it was obvious that he was in his element and enjoyed singing this particular song. Flickers of excitement flashed across his features as he cockily jammed to his own tune, managing to even throw a bit of stilled dancing ( if that’s what you could even call it ) into it without disrupting the ball's rotation. His deep register complimented the flow of the sing-rapping – and he didn’t know it yet but that form of delivery was going to become his favorite. When his performance came to an end, he bounced the basketball and caught it before performing an exaggerated bow towards the camera, “Please keep rooting for me, everyone! Once again, this is Jang Minyong, signing out!” He threw up a peace sign and waved at the camera, successfully managing to playfully show off a few tricks with the basketball before the video finally cut out.
