Three ships: I only really have 2, markhyuck and renhyuck. markhyuck have so much history between them, and knowing they've actually kissed irl.. 🤭 I also really like the renhyuck ship. In some ways I think their personalities are even more compatible than markhyuck, although they don't have that strong bond of shared suffering.

First ship: I acutally didn't really participate in any fandoms for a long time. I think the first ship I actively thought about was in 2017-18, magnus and franziska from the tv show 'dark'.

Last song: 'iykyk' by xg. i love the vibe of it :)

Last movie: it's been so long since i watched a movie omg! i wanna say it was rewatching the 'prince caspian' movie from the narnia series.

Currently watching: 'ridley', it's a british detective show. i'm a bit obsessed with british detective shows... 'ridley' isn't the best, but i'm scraping the bottom of the barrel at this point lol. better detective shows i've already finished are: midsomer murders, unforgotten, three pines, bosch, shetland, dci banks, broadchurch, whitechapel, and of course sherlock. i do prefer the modern-set ones because i find the forensic science really fascinating.

Currently reading: 'six of crows' by leigh bardugo. i'm like 50 pages from the end, and really enjoying it. i'm a sucker for adventures with a side of romance.

Currently eating: a cinnamon-raisin bagel with cream cheese :P

Currently craving: chocolate. always chocolate. also a cup of tea lol.

As you fell through the dizzying portal, you fell into a field of flowers.. as you raised your head up, you saw a familiar figure in the distance. A child in purple, his golden crown glistening in the sun's gentle rays which seeped through the tree that shaded him. As you approached the child, the young one's head cocked up suddenly, his eye sockets widening in fear as he held his book tightly, his hands trembling as he sat down in front of him.

He was confused by your actions, but when you asked him about his name, he stuttered before speaking up, his voice in a low yet quiet tone, "I-I'm Nightmare.. t-the guard-dian of negativity..." He stuttered, he seemed afraid and almost glaring at you, as if he was trying to see if you were planning to hit him.

As you smiled, he calmed slightly, his eye lights rested a bit as he let out a question, "Do you not fear me..?"

hi omg yes it is!! along with being a common phrase and a cool tie in because rox is a songwriter, i did get the idea listening to the boys like girls song! i love them soo much and so many of their songs radiate rames energy to me!

i think i've mentioned this before but when i first started writing tasw it was originally called every little thing she does is magic (my notes app idea page + a different early playlist is still called this lol) and i wrote the first 12ish chapters under that name but the day i decided to publish it, like fate, the blg song came on and i thought it sounded much better :) from that came the evolution of roxy's school drama to the brand new day plotline !

think i made the right choice lol?

i had a vibes playlist for the earliest version of my story, one with a more classic rock focus instead of punk/pop punk but put she's got a boyfriend now on there originally because i knew the dak/roxy plotline would be occurring from day one - a little bit of angsty james vibes that still wound up in the published version :) while that original playlist is no more, she's got a boyfriend now is on the chapter title playlist!

(and if you were wondering, the james pov counter part to tasw is named after his girl friday by the academy is... !! i liked that they were parallel + both used common phrases :)) (it's also one of my favorite songs ever lol)

i'm doing my best not to get too pretentious about my music taste in the story but literally all i listen to is pop punk and boybands so there's no way it wouldn't show up eventually...
