Steve and Eddie work together in an aquarium, and Eddie is losing his mind. He's in love, he's got the most embarrassing crush, but Steve doesn't even notice him.
They barely interact, and Eddie only knows Steve's first name. He doubts Steve knows he exists, he's just one of many tour guides (but he's amazing with kids and especially teenagers, so he's actually a great tour guide, thank you very much!)
Back to Steve. Steve, with his lean muscles, easy smile, thick hair and beautiful, but somehow sad eyes. That Steve.
The Steve who works in the aquarium as a merman.
Eddie could watch him for hours, floating in the tank with grace Eddie didn't know existed, with his sparkly yellow mermaid tail, flowing hair and chest hair, and that man can hold his breath for so long? Think of the options, the possibilities!
The mermaid show is insanely popular among all the kids and teens, even adults. His best friend Chrissy was the one who recommended Eddie to the aquarium, she's the main mermaid, and god, if Eddie wasn't gay, she'd have him at her feet. She always looks so effortless, twirling underwater in her emerald green mermaid tail, spinning around Steve. They make such a beautiful pair, it makes Eddie want to weep.
Fortunately, she's already in a happy relationship, so Steve is reportedly still single. Chrissy makes Eddie massage her feet in the evenings - he offered, they're cramping from a bad fit of the tail - and graciously answers all Eddie's reasonable questions, such as "how do his hands feel?" ("Wet. We're swimming, remember?").
She keeps telling Eddie to ask Steve out, but Eddie isn't stupid. That man is the god Poseidon himself, and Eddie is but a humble crab in his kingdom. So he admires him from afar, longing, pining and making Chrissy's head hurt.
But Steve's just so good with kids, Eddie can't keep his mouth shut. He always mutters something to Steve as he's ushering the kids away. "Great show, sweetheart," or "I love that smile, Stevie," or "need help getting that tail off?" He's only a man, and no one can hear him.
Except for a nosy tour coordinator listening in through his earpiece, Robin Buckley. She also happens to be Steve's best friend, Chrissy's girlfriend, and a menace to society.
And maybe one day she tells Steve to just smooch the tour guide, maybe she spills a few of the longing whispers and wishful stares, but she's only human too. A human who's had to listen to Steve's ramblings about the cute guy who always pulls the kids' attention like a magnet, who even through the blurry glass tank seems to be having an amazing time. Steve sometimes asks Robin for an extra earpiece and listens to the rest of Eddie's tour after the show. He loves his enthusiasm. Once Eddie even drew a heart on Steve's tank, can you imagine that, Rob?!
Maybe Robin and Chrissy have to work together to give the two idiots what they need, because Eddie considers himself too nerdy and plain for Steve, ans Steve thinks he's too dumb and shallow for Eddie.
Maybe Chrissy fakes slipping into the mermaid tank and drags Eddie with her. Maybe Robin is there and quickly gets Steve to jump after him. Maybe she makes the innocent mistake of insuating that Eddie can't swim.
And maybe, when Steve and Eddie are back on firm ground, confused and wet, Chrissy splashes them with water and asks if pretending that it's mouth to mouth resuscitation would help, or if they can finally kiss and stop pining for each other.
And one more maybe...maybe in a few weeks, when Eddie ushers the children away after the show, he kisses his palm and presses it against the tank, and watches Steve do the same, before he can give him a proper kiss after their shift.

I'm all for the angsty overhearing a conversation trope where it's all sad because of a misunderstanding. But I also love the opposite. Overhearing a conversation where the other person is just singing their praises. Especially with Steve and Eddie.
Like Steve being very aware that he likes Eddie, but way too afraid of rejection to actually do anything about it. So he just pines away, and gets closer and closer to him with the full expectation of it never going anywhere. Until one day, he comes to pick Dustin up from Hellfire too early, and he can hear everyone talking through the door. About him. But mostly it's Eddie, his loud voice carrying across the room. And he's just raving about him, and somehow managing to bring him up in conversations that have nothing to do with him.
Do you remember that time Steve saved my life by shoving my guts back into my body? Yeah, that's the level of skill and luck you're going to need to survive this.
Did you guys know that Steve actually gave me this background music? He's weirdly knowledgeable about classical stuff. Isn't that cool? He's so smart and-oh, yeah, the merchant agrees to the deal.
So uh, is Steve maybe seeing anyone? He isn't right? Like he would tell me if he was, wouldn't he?
And he doesn't give a single fuck at the collective groaning of the group whenever he gets going, never failing to pull out the I almost Died saving the world with you card to get them to shut up. And by the time it actually ends, Steve is a glowing, blushing mess who can't stop smiling.
Or the other way around. With Eddie full on assuming he has 0 shot because Steve's, Steve.
The golden boy who could obviously never be into him like that, or any other guy for that matter. So he doesn't do anything about his feelings, he just hangs out with him more and more and falls for him more and more, waiting for the inevitable day when he gets a girlfriend and his fantasies could finally die. Except one day, he spends the night at Steve's, but he isn't in bed when he wakes up. He goes to find him, just to hear him downstairs loudly talking to Robin. Because neither of them know the concept of inside voices when they're together. And he waits at the top, listening in just for the fuck of it, but mostly because he doesn't want to interrupt.
"I just feel like bed sharing the way you guys do is gay as hell," Robin sighed, "Especially at your age. Also, should we even be talking about this with him in the house?"
And before Eddie has time to freak out over that and the possibility he's gotten caught with his feelings, Steve is already answering, "I know right? And don't worry about it, he sleeps like the dead. But I don't know what to do about it. He still hasn't done anything. Am I just reading this whole thing wrong?"
"Well you could try making the first move instead of trying to trick him into doing it," Robin tried.
"And ruin our friendship incase I'm wrong? Yeah, no. Besides, I go like, full dumbass around him when I'm nervous. He's too hot. I'd probably walk into a wall in the middle of professing my undying love."
"Yeah," Robin sighed, "You probably would."
And Eddie is just having a moment upstairs. A full on I think I may have to jump for joy moment. Or even, I think I'm five seconds away from squealing like a teenage girl moment.
Yeah, I like that shit.
#steddie#steddie fic#stranger things#steddie ficlet#steve harrington#eddie munson#cutsy bullshit because im struggling so hard with my fic#i do actually love the misunderstandings trope#but i also love accidently confessing within ear shot

Eddie has strong feelings for Steve. Feelings he thought he had gotten rid of once Steve rescued him from hell. His hatred of him didn't even make sense, even before all of this. So, because he's a jock he has to be a jerk like all the rest? Eddie had made an assumption about him and Lucas just like they made about him. He hated that he had done that. It hadn't been his proudest moment. Now, those frustrating feelings are resurfacing, which is ridiculous because not only is he a good guy, but he is also a complete dork as well and he's so fucking great with the kids. He should be happy that he's friends with him, so why does his stomach feel like there's a bird trying to get out of its cage when he looks at Steve?
"Eddie, man, why are you scowling at me?" Steve asked.
He was hanging out with Steve, Robin, and Robin's girlfriend, Vickie. It was supposed to be a nice, casual get-together. Of course, Eddie had to ruin it.
"I hate you!" Eddie burst out.
There was silence in the living room as everyone stared at him. Steve looked hurt. Robin looked angry, and if Vickie wasn't holding her back, Eddie was sure she would rip out his throat with her bare hands.
"What?" Steve asked.
"It doesn't make any sense why I do, though!" Eddie burst out. "Because you're a great guy! Fantastic even! When I look at you, I get these feelings in my chest that annoy the fucking shit out of me. Everything about you is so fucking perfect like a goddamn prince out of a storybook! With your perfect hair, your perfect eyes, and your perfect teeth. My God, you're even great with the kids! When you talk about going out on dates, I hate that, too! I know you're just trying to do that to get over Nancy. Speaking of Nancy, I like her and all, but when I think about you two together, it makes my fucking skin scrawl! What the fuck is that? I mean, I like Nancy, but fuck, the idea of you two together makes me want to rip off my own eyebrows and eat them! Jesus H Christ! There's no reason for me to hate you, and yet somehow . . . Wait, why are you guys laughing?"
Vickie was giggling into Robin's shoulder while Robin laughed into a pillow. Steve was laughing with his hands over his eyes.
"He's so cute!" Vickie laughed.
"Why are you guys laughing at me?" Eddie asked. "Stop it!"
"You poor Dingus!" Robin laughed.
"What?!" Eddie asked.
"You like me, Eddie," Steve said.
"Yeah, I like you, but I also seem to hate you," he sighed.
"No, I mean, you like me," Steve said, standing up.
"You said that already," Eddie replied.
"Alright, can I do something so I can get my point across?" Steve asked.
"Yeah, do whatever you want to me, man," Eddie said and Steve grinned widely.
"Within reason, Steven!" Robin exclaimed.
Steve cupped his face and kissed him. Eddie gasped, a jolt of what felt like electricity shot through him. He liked it. The kiss was short and to the point. Steve pulled away.
"Oh, I like you! Oh, thank God! I thought I hated you! Wait, am I gay? No, I still like like girls. . .hold on, give me a minute," Eddie said, raising his finger to do invisible math in the air.
"You like this man, Steve?" Robin asked as they watched Eddie erase something.
"Oh, yeah," Steve replied.
"I've never actually seen someone figure out their sexuality before," Vickie said.
"Oh, I had a chance to do that with Steve. It was a wonderful experience. Definitely a lot less stupid than this," Robin said.
"I like both!" Eddie exclaimed, clapping his hands together. "And I like you!"
"I like both too, Eddie, and I like you too," Steve laughed. "I'm bisexual."
"Bi - sex - u - al," Eddie said like, drawing out the words, and he shook his head from side to side as if rolling the word around in his head. "Yes! Me too! Bisexual! Does this mean this is a double date now?"
Steve grinned, sat down on the love seat, and pulled him into his lap.
"Definitely," Steve said.
"Let me tell you, I feel this huge relief now that I know I like you," Eddie said. "I can't believe I thought I hated you!"
"Dingus!" Robin giggled.
"How long are you guys going to laugh at me about this?" Eddie pouted as Steve shook with laughter beneath him.
"Forever!"
Eddie buried his head into Steveâs neck as he laughed with them, sighing in contentment when Steve kissed his forehead.

Itâs not that Steve didnât want a tattoo.
Heâd wanted one for years. Just something to piss off his parents the way they pissed him off constantly.
Asking when heâd find a girlfriend (he wouldnât, heâs gay), when heâd find a better job (he liked his job as a guidance counselor), when heâd move out of the tiny apartment he shared with that girl who couldnât give them grandchildren (Robin gagged at the mere thought of any of that).
But Robin promised sheâd go with him when he made this appointment a month ago and sheâd just cancelled at the last minute. Something about a work emergency.
She didnât have a work emergency. She worked at a Starbucks.
He knew what she was doing. Itâs what she always did.
âI just wanna get you out of your shell! People should see the Steve that I see!â
Robin did get a different version of Steve, one that didnât feel like he had to hide his surprisingly bubbly personality. His students got a calm, kind counselor. But everyone else?
Theyâd be lucky to get a smile during a conversation.
He wasnât, like, an asshole.
He just had asshole tendencies.
Robin called him her Oscar The Grouch.
He allowed it because deep down, he knew it was true.
And now he was even MORE grumpy because he had to get this tattoo alone. In a place heâd almost certainly be the outcast in his glasses and business casual attire. With people judging him for not already having tattoos and piercings at the age of 27.
Robin owed him.
When he walked into the shop, he was surprised to hear classic rock instead of heavy metal. The front counter was covered in pictures of bands Steve didnât know, tattoos he would never get, and signs that had enough vulgar words to fill up the swear jar he kept in the apartment for shits and giggles.
Nervous was an understatement.
A head popped around the corner, bright smile lighting up the face of a man who looked like he belonged here.
âBe right there!â
Steve didnât bother to say anything because as soon as he started to respond, the head was gone.
He frowned, but figured the guy might be with another client and he was pretty sure they had rules about touching things with their gloves on. At least, he hoped they did.
He stared down at the picture on his phone.
It was small, simple. Something he wouldnât even have to cover up at work.
One of his students drew it for him last year when heâd missed some work because of the flu. Heâd only missed two days, but because he so rarely missed, his regulars were pretty worried about him.
His regulars being three students who sat with him during their lunch period to avoid bullies.
It was a sun, with beautiful yellows and oranges combining into a near perfect circle, small lines randomly jutting out and fading into nothing.
It was beautiful art.
And he was getting it permanently etched onto his body.
He loved his students, what could he say?
The head popped back around the corner, interrupting his thoughts again.
âSorry for the wait. I had a customer on the phone. How can I help ya?â
âSteve Harrington. Here for a 6:00 appointment?â
The guy beamed at him, nodding along.
âPerfect! You said you already knew what you wanted?â
Steve held up his phone to show this still nameless guy the picture.
âYou want the colors like that?â
âIf you can.â
âIf I can, he says! Of course I can! This is really nice. Did you make this?â
Steve snorted, but he wasnât that amused. This guy was like a ball of energy and Steve was already exhausted.
âNo. One of my students did.â
âOh, are you a teacher?â
âGuidance counselor.â
âThatâs cool! So you, like, make sure the youths of today are on the right path? Keep them interested in the right things?â
Steve blinked at this man.
âI guess, yeah. So can we uh, get startedâŠâ
âOh shit! I always forget to introduce myself to the newbies. Eddie.â He held out his hand towards Steve to shake. Steve stared down at it for a moment, knowing his face was doing that judgy thing Robin always warned him about, but not being able to stop it. âNot a handshake guy?â
Steve cleared his throat, finally reaching his hand up to shake Eddieâs.
The rings on Eddieâs fingers were cold against his own, his grip was strong but not the type of string that made Steve uncomfortable.
Eddie was smiling at him. He never stopped smiling, this guy.
It was kind ofâŠcute. Steve would never admit it to anyone, but the way Eddie just seemed genuinely happy was really doing it for him.
That was annoying.
When he finally remember to let go, Eddie was already turning around to grab a piece of paper from the shelf behind him.
âIâm just gonna have you send that to this email,â he pointed to the contact info on the piece of paper heâd grabbed. âAnd Iâll get it printed on transfer paper so we can get started.â
Steve nodded and sent the picture as requested.
He ignored the shaking of his hands. It wasnât a big deal. Itâs just a tattoo. Most adults have them. Robin had four. Eddie here seemed to have hundreds.
Eddie must have noticed his visible anxiety. He felt Eddieâs hand on his arm, squeezing gently.
âFirst tattoo?â
âIs it that obvious?â
âNah. Iâve just done a lot of first tattoos.â Eddie pulled up the picture on his own phone while he spoke. âI promise itâll be easier than youâre thinking.â
âIâm not worried about the pain.â
Eddie glanced up at him quickly, then back down at the phone in his hand.
âItâs just permanent, ya know?â
Eddie let out a laugh and held up both of his arms, fully covered in tattoos.
âI know. Thatâs whatâs great. Nothing in life is permanent, but these are. Even when youâre long gone, these will still be on your body.â
Steve hadnât thought about it like that.
Permanence was something heâd always struggled with. Itâs why he was so standoffish according to the two therapists heâd tried talking to. His parents had never given him an idea of what someone staying around was like, his friendships all ended when he realized he wanted to be a better person than they were capable of being, and his only serious relationship ended when he was ready for marriage and she wasnât.
Heâd been through a lot of personal growth since then, most of it thanks to Robin and some experiences at the gay clubs she took him to, and now he felt better about who he was.
He just didnât think anyone or anything would stick around.
Robin was proving she might, but only time would tell. Plenty of time for Steve to fuck it up.
âYou can still back out, man. I wonât charge you the cancellation fee or anything.â
Oh, how nice. Eddie thought he was a wimp and wasnât even gonna follow his own policy to let him back out.
Thatâs shameful. He was ashamed.
âNot backing out.â
He folded his arms in front of his chest, trying to tone down the glare he could feel on his own face.
Eddie threw his hands up as he waited for the printer to finish.
âAlright. Just letting you have an out.â
Eddie looked over the few copies heâd printed, all slightly different sizes, and then lined them up on the counter facing Steve.
âWhat size were you thinking? Whereâs this going?â
Steve pointed to the middle one, barely an inch wide.
âI was thinking my wrist?â
Eddie smiled at him.
âSounds good, sunshine.â
Oh. That was not good.
That little thing his stomach just did?
Nope. Not good at all.
Eddie walked around the counter and gestured for Steve to follow him around the corner.
Steve found himself in awe of the room he was walking into.
Heâd never seen such variety in anything. Some of it resembled the front counter, but there was also a Bob Marley poster, a rainbow flag, a whole wall of funny bumper stickers, and graffiti along the ceiling.
It was certainly a lot for the eyes to take in.
Steve kind of loved it.
He even let out a smile.
He quickly hid it away again when he heard Eddie hit his hand against the chair.
âGot it all clean already for ya. Just take a seat and get comfy.â Eddie reached over grab some gloves from a shelf before he sat in front of Steve. âGonna put this on you first. Make sure the placement is good. Then Iâll shave that area and get all my stuff ready to go. The tattoo itself probably wonât take more than an hour, and most of that will be shading these beautiful colors. Need anything before we get started? Water? Bathroom? Snack?â
Steveâs head was spinning.
Eddieâs energy was relentless, and he had a smile on his face the entire time.
Steve couldnât help smiling back at him.
âIâm good. Thanks.â
Eddie nodded and started humming along to the song playing over the speakers.
He went through everything quickly, but still took his time explaining everything. Steve was kind of grateful he didnât have to sit in silence; His brain wasnât his friend when there was silence.
âAlright, sunshine. If youâre good, Iâm good.â
Steve felt his face heat up, blush spreading from his cheeks to his neck.
âIâm good.â
And then he started.
It was sharp, the needles carving ink into his skin causing a new sensation up his entire arm. But it was alsoâŠgood?
Heâd expected it to be painful, maybe even go numb. He hadnât expected the pain to feel like this.
He lost focus. Everything felt distant and blurry, but in a sleepy way, not in a pass out way. Steve felt himself smiling slightly, but didnât have the energy to stop it.
He was watching Eddie work, but wasnât really seeing anything beyond the way his fingers splayed his skin tight and the tattoo gun left ink behind.
His eyes closed at some point, but he wasnât asleep, the faint buzz of the tattoo gun keeping him present enough to stay awake.
âHey, sunshine. Doing alright?â
âHm?â
He tried to focus in on Eddieâs face. Eddie was very close. He was holding his wrist.
Steve was still here.
âNeed a break?â
âNo. Iâm good.â
Eddie chuckled. âIâd say so.â
He continued, and Steve let his mind wander again. It was nice to drift. Heâd never felt this relaxed before, not even during the massage Robin got him for his birthday last year.
âAlright, sunshine. Youâre done.â
Steve looked down at the tattoo now covering his wrist.
It was beautiful, even better than the picture.
He started to cry.
If he wasnât so far gone, heâd probably be embarrassed or angry about it, but surely other people had cried after a tattoo before. Maybe Eddie would just ignore it.
âOh, sweetheart. Do you not like it?â
âNo. I love it.â Steve took a shaky breath, then another. âItâs beautiful. Thank you.â
Eddie was rubbing his back and smiling sadly down at him.
âIâm glad you love it. I just have to wrap it up and go over some care instructions, okay?â
âOkay.â
Steve was never this vulnerable, not even with Robin. He was pretty sure sheâd only actually seen him cry once when a student moved away.
His whole thing was that he didnât show emotions. His job required it to an extent, though he was always caring to his students, giving them smiles when they came in to make them feel welcome.
But here he was smiling and crying to a stranger over a tattoo.
âSunshine?â
âYeah?â
âGot you some water. I need you to look at me while I go over the instructions okay?â
âOkay.â
He felt himself coming back down to earth as he looked at Eddie, a soft smile making Steve focus in on his mouth.
âThatâs good. Keep this wrapped for four hours at least and longer if youâll be outside. When you take it off, make sure you wash it with antibacterial soap gently and then use moisturizing lotion, unscented is best. If you need some, I can give you some. Make sure to keep it moisturized over the next week. Itâll peel a little, thatâs normal, but if you see anything thatâs a lot of color falling out or something, come see me and I can fix it. No long exposure to direct sunlight for at least 4 weeks, and use sunscreen on it if you think you will be.â He took a breath and smirked. âGot it?â
âUm.â
He handed over a paper with a laugh.
âItâs all right here. I just needed you to come back down from space. Drink your water and relax for a minute. Iâll go get the card reader.â
Steve did as he was told, enjoying the way the ice cold water helped him focus back in on his surroundings.
With the focus came the grumpiness. He was crashing from his adrenaline high, and his first instinct was to pout.
He didnât think he was visibly doing so until he heard Eddie snort from a few feet away.
âWelcome back. Sorry to burst your bubble. If I didnât have another client in 20 minutes, Iâd probably have let you stay there for a bit. Seems like you needed it.â
âI. What do you mean? I was just zoned out.â
Eddie froze where he was typing something into his phone.
âHave you neverâŠ? Oh. Jesus Christ. Okay. Well. I donât.â He looked genuinely concerned about what to do. âOkay. I donât feel comfortable letting you be alone yet. Do you have someone you live with or who can hang out for a bit?â
âMy roommate had a work emergency or sheâd be here.â
Steveâs arms were crossed again, but the pull of the wrap around his wrist reminded him of the dull ache he was still experiencing. It made him shiver, but he couldnât explain why.
âOkay. Can you stick around for a bit? Iâve got an office with a couch in the back.â
âAre you gonna tell me why?â
âEver heard of sub space?â
âLikeâŠthe kinky thing?â
Eddie facepalmed.
âYeah. Like the kinky thing.â
âI mean, Iâve heard of it. Why?â
âYou just spent the last hour in it.â
Steve was usually pretty good at keeping a pretty stoic face, but his jaw dropped.
âNo I didnât.â
âSunshine, you were gone. I donât think Iâve ever seen someone that deep from a tattoo before.â
âIf this is just a way to get me alone in your office or somethingâŠâ
âSteve. I know you donât know me, but I would never do that. If I wanted to get you alone, Iâd just ask you.â
âIâm sure Iâd say no.â
âExactly. So youâll stay so I can keep an eye on you?â
Steve shrugged. He didnât have anything else to do and Robin wouldnât be home for hours.
âI guess.â
Eddieâs eyes were practically glittering.
âGood. Go lay down, sunshine. Iâll bring you more water in a minute.â
So despite Steve having no idea what just happened, and barely any idea who Eddie even was beyond a talented tattoo artist, he made his way to the office and curled up on the couch.
Pout firmly in place because he was still Steve, after all.

âTonight is the night,â Nancy says.
She says it with so much gravity that it makes Eddie look up from his spot on the couch, drawing his attention away from the email heâs reading (lyrics from Jeff that he wants input on). He whistles.
âDamn, Nance, you look good,â he says. She has her hair and makeup done and sheâs wearing her favorite dress, the one that looks black until the right light hits it and reveals itâs actually purple. Eddie may be as gay as they come, but he can recognize that she looks sexy as hell. âThe night for what?â
She takes a deep breath. âIâm going to ask Robin to be my girlfriend.â
âHell yeah!â Eddie says, putting his hand out for a high-five. She returns it before sitting on the couch next to him. âYou have a date tonight?â
âNo, remember? Itâs the party.â
Right. Nancy spent twenty minutes the other day trying to convince Eddie to come with her to the party that Robin and her housemates are throwing. He refused. Heâs met Robin a few times and really likes herâand he knows Nancy is completely head over heels for herâbut heâs not big on house parties where he doesnât know anyone. Especially because itâs a guarantee that Nancy will abandon him immediately to be with Robin.
âDo you think thatâs a terrible place to do it?â Nancy asks, âAnd do you think itâs too soon?â
Eddie shrugs. Heâs shit at relationships, so he doesnât know the rules. âI think youâre fine,â he says, âYou guys are clearly crazy about each other. I think you could take her to, like, a sewage plant and ask her to be your girlfriend and sheâd still be over the moon.â
She gives him a tiny smile. âWill you please come?â she asks. âIâm just so nervous about it and it would really help to have my best friend there.â
Unfair. Sheâs giving him her biggest doe eyes. It shouldnât work on him because he knows she only makes that face when sheâs trying to manipulate him. But even though he knows what sheâs doing, sheâs just so adorable. He canât say no to her.
He sighs. âGod, fine,â he says. He looks down at his worn out t-shirt and hole-riddled sweatpants. âI probably have to change, huh?â
Forty-five minutes later, Eddie is circling the block looking for a spot to park. Normally Nancy drives when they go somewhere together because she hates his driving, but he insisted tonight because he has a feeling that sheâs going to end up staying the night and he doesnât want to be trapped. As they drive, Nancy has been giving Eddie the rundown on Robinâs housemates. Thereâs Max and Lucas, the couple who are Nancyâs brother Mikeâs age. Sheâs convinced that they would get along really well with Mike and his boyfriend Will, so she keeps trying to figure out an organic way for them to meet. She tells Eddie that she invited them to the party but never heard if theyâll actually be there. Then thereâs Steve, Robinâs best friend who works with her at the same library where Robin and Nancy originally met (because Nancy was doing research for a story and had to access the archives for some records that were never digitized). Nancy keeps telling Eddie that she thinks heâs either going to fall madly in love with Steve or hate his guts. So Eddie guesses heâs about to find out which one itâll be.
He finally finds a spot on the street around the corner. He squeezes his van into the tiny space and puts it in park before glancing over at Nancy. She looks nervous, taking slow, even breaths to steady herself while her hands shake.
âHey,â he says, putting his hand out. She puts her hand in his and he squeezes it tight. âYouâve got this. Robinâll be a goddamn idiot if she says no.â
She gives him a small smile. âThank you,â she says, then tosses her shoulders back. âLetâs do this.â
They get out of the van, where Nancy makes him stop so she can fix the collar of his battle vest thatâs standing up. Itâs a pretty warm night, so heâs had to forgo his favorite leather jacket plus vest combo. Instead, itâs just the vest over top of a Nekrogoblikon t-shirt paired with his favorite black jeans. He feels really underdressed next to Nancy, but she told him it was fine when he showed her the outfit for approval.
Inside, the house is pretty packed. Right away, Eddie sees that Mike and Will made it after all, along with Willâs sister El. Theyâre all sitting side by side on a couch talking to three people who are sitting cross-legged on the ground in front of them.Â
âThatâs Max and Lucas,â Nancy tells Eddie, pointing out two of the kids on the ground. âNot sure who the other one is.â
As they get closer, Mike glances up and waves. But the group seems pretty engrossed in their conversation, so Eddie and Nancy move deeper into the house.Â
Eddie feels Nancy clench his wrist. âThatâs Steve,â she hisses, nodding significantly in the direction of the kitchen. His eyes find the guy sheâs pointing out, ladling punch into a red Solo cup andâ
Fuck.
Heâs the most beautiful guy Eddieâs ever seen. Nancy way undersold him. He gets that thereâs a certain amount of leeway he needs to grant to her as a lesbian since she canât really tell, but come on. Eddie could be full on blind and still recognize that Steve is unreal. His swooping brown hair catches the last of the setting sun coming in through the window and turns it all shades of honey. His eyes are the same, amber in the dying light. And itâs like his face has been sculpted from stoneânot marbleâsomething better than that. Some stone they havenât invented yet because nothing else currently on this earth could capture him.
Belatedly, he becomes aware of Nancy laughing at him. Somehow, she can always follow his thoughts. Always knows when heâs composing terrible sonnets in his mind. But just as sheâs opening her mouth (definitely to make fun of him), Robin appears in front of them. Eddie watches her cheeks flame as she looks Nancy up and down.Â
âHi, Nancy!â she says, âGlad you made it!â
âOf course I did!â Nancy says, eyes practically turning into hearts and popping out of her head. âI wouldnât miss it for the world.â
Robin reaches her hands out to grasp Nancyâs. âYou look gorgeous,â she says, âI love that dress.â
Eddie can tell this is going to veer into territory where he canât follow very quickly, so he cuts in. âHey, Robin, nice to see you.â
Robin blinks at him. âOh, hey!â she says, âI didnât see you.â
That was apparent. Not that Eddieâs upset about it. He loves seeing the two girls like this, loves that Nancy has found someone who matches her intensity.Â
They get through the bare minimum small talk (work is good, yes they all watched that new episode of that show, yes it was crazy), but Eddie can see that Nancy and Robin want to be alone. So he lets Robin drag Nancy away, presumably to her bedroom. And now he just needs to figure out what heâs going to do now that the only two people he knows here are preoccupied.Â
Well, thatâs not entirely accurate. He knows Mike, Will, and El. He looks over, but theyâre no longer sitting in the living room. He scans the crowd for them and sees Mike and Will have moved to the kitchen (apparently Steve has moved onâthatâs unfortunate) where theyâre talking to Lucas and the other guy Eddie doesnât know. Eddie makes his way over to them, stopping by the punch bowl on his way.
âEddie!â Mike says as soon as he sees him. âLucas and Dustin here play D&D. Can we invite them to Hellfire?â
Eddie crosses his arms and surveys the two guys, sizing them up. Dustin looks like the type, with a Star Wars shirt and a goofy grin. Lucas looks way too athletic to be into D&D though. Not nearly enough of a loser.
âI donât know,â he says, âAre you guys any good?â
That causes both boys to launch into tales of their various past exploits on campaigns, apparently not giving a shit that theyâre yelling over each other so Eddie canât tell anything theyâre saying. He feels the passion, though.Â
âAlright,â he concedes, âYou can sit in for a session. If youâre good, weâll let you stick around.â
Whooping, Mike and Will high-five each other, then Lucas and Dustin.Â
âWhereâs your sister?â Eddie asks Will.Â
Will nods over to an adjacent wall. âOver there talking to Max and Steve,â he says. Eddie follows his gaze and sees the trio. More specifically, his eyes are drawn to Steve. Heâs so goddamn beautiful, even in the artificial light now that the sun has disappeared below the horizon.Â
Well, isnât this a perfect opportunity? âIâm gonna go say hi,â Eddie says casually, nodding in farewell to Will, Mike, Lucas, and Dustin. Then, red Solo cup in hand, he starts heading in the direction of El, Steve, and Max.Â
In a way, itâs just too damn predictable.Â
Eddie is walking toward the group, feeling pretty good, doing his best to look cool and nonchalant. Heâs about five feet away and Steve glances up, eyes flicking over him. And Eddieâs so caught up in the euphoria of being seen (and maybe admired?) by Steve that he completely misses someoneâs purse on the ground. He trips over it, doesnât manage to right himself, and goes sprawling. To add insult to injury, he doesnât manage to keep hold of his cup of punch and manages to spill it all over himself and Steve.
Great.
âFuck, man, Iâm so sorry,â Eddie says, hopping to his feet and putting his hands out like he canâwhat? Wipe away the bright red punch from Steveâs white shirt? God, heâs so stupid.Â
Steve is looking down at himself in surprise, then back up at Eddie. âItâs cool,â he says. Fuck, his voice is so sexy. Eddie canât believe that the first thing he did when trying to approach this guy was spill punch all over him. When did he become such a mess?
Max laughs. âI told you not to wear white, dingus,â she says. Steve scowls at her.Â
âOnly Robin gets to call me dingus,â he says. âAnd you told me not to wear white because you think I look ugly in it, not because you thought I would spill on it.â
Max shrugs. âDifferent reasoning, same end result,â she says breezily.Â
Alright, Eddie is definitely gonna need to befriend this girl as soon as he stops wanting to die of mortification. If that happens.Â
âSeriously, man, Iâm so sorry,â Eddie says, âI can, like, buy you a new shirt, orââ
Steve waves him off. âSeriously, itâs cool,â he says, âHonestly, I got this shirt in a pack of five from Target so itâs not a big loss.â He looks over Eddie again. His all black ensemble probably doesnât reveal the punch as much, but Eddie can feel the wet patches sticking to his skin. âCâmon, Iâll lend you something to change into.â
Not about to complain about the prospect of seeing the inside of Steveâs room, Eddie follows him down the hall and through a door. Itâs a nice bedroom, tidy without feeling sterile. There are posters for bands on the wall that Eddie doesnât listen to but doesnât disrespect either. An acoustic guitar is leaning against a desk thatâs stacked with neat piles of books. There are twinkle lights along the bedframe, giving the room a cheerful glow. And itâs a comfy looking bed, with a thick white comforter and fluffy pillows.Â
Stop staring at his bed, you absolute creep.
âIâm Eddie by the way,â Eddie says, looking back over at Steve. Who is very shirtless. Apparently having peeled his wet shirt off, heâs now standing facing the closet. Goddamn. The smooth expanse of his back is on display, toned and freckled. Eddie wants to bite it.Â
Steve looks over his shoulder at Eddie. âYeah, I know,â he says.Â
âYou do?â
âYeah.â Steve grins, turning more fully around. Donât stare at his chest donât stare at his chest donât stare at hisâ âAfter Robin met Nancy she made a whole ass PowerPoint of her Instagram photos. Youâre in some of âem.â
Eddie feels a little flustered that Steve knew who he was before Eddie knew him. What did he think? Did Steve think he was good looking? Or was he even paying attention? Then Eddie wrinkles his nose, the rest of the context registering.Â
âA whole PowerPoint, huh?â Eddie asks.Â
Steve shrugs (his shoulders are so pretty, fuck). âYeah, itâs kinda what we do,â he says, âAnything significant happens, we share it with each other in excruciating detail. And Robbie knows Iâm a visual learner so slideshows work pretty well.â
âFair enough.â
Steve turns back to the closet and rifles through the hangers. âGood news is I think weâre about the same size,â he says. He produces a plain black t-shirt. âDoes this work?â
âIâll take whatever you give me,â Eddie says (God, he hopes that comes off less horny than it sounds to his ears). âIâm the one who spilled punch all over us.â
Eyes fixed on Eddieâs chest, Steve comes back over. Eddie resists the urge to cross his arms over himself. But obviously, Steveâs just looking at the stains, not him. âYour vest was mostly saved,â Steve says. He touches a spot below one of the buttons on Eddieâs chest, making Eddieâs heart leap into his throat. âThereâs a bit, but I think Max has some stuff for stains we can borrow.â
âCool,â Eddie says. His voice definitely sounds unnatural, and he thinks Steve notices, eyes flicking up to his. Those pretty, pretty eyes. Up close, his eyelashes are so long. And his face is dotted with moles. Eddie wants to touch every one of them. âIâm not really that worried about it,â he chokes out.Â
Shrugging, Steve hands him the black shirt. And then he just stands there, watching. âUm,â Eddie says. Does Steve really expect him to just strip down right in front of him? He canât present his incredibly mediocre shirtless self to the most beautiful man heâs ever seen.Â
Steve lifts his eyebrows. âWhatâre you waiting for?âÂ
âUh, nothing,â Eddie says.Â
This isnât weird. Right? Itâs only weird if he keeps acting all weird about it. But he can be all cool and casual about this like Steve was. So he shrugs out of his battle vest, draping it over the desk chair along with the borrowed shirt, and then tugs his own shirt over his head. Steveâs standing a little closer than Eddie realized, so his arms bump against him as he untangles them from the shirt. Totally fine, totally normal. Totally not gonna obsess about the feeling of Steveâs skin against his for the next 3-5 business days.Â
As soon as Eddie has laid his shirt over his battle vest, he feels featherlight fingers brushing over the demon tattoo on his chest. He sucks in a breath, frozen to the spot. What is happening right now?
He risks a glance at Steve, whose eyes are trained on Eddieâs tattoos. âI was curious what these looked like up close,â Steve says, âI should admit I actually have seen you shirtless before. I kind of stalked your Instagram.â
What? Thatâs not computing. First of all, Steve, most gorgeous man to ever exist, stalked Eddieâs Instagram? Second of all, Eddie has shirtless pics on his Instagram? He doesnât have the confidence to post that kind of thing. Except no, there is a picture on there from when he went to the beach with Gareth and Jeff a month or two ago. But what? Steve has seen it? And it was significant enough for him to remember?
Steve looks at Eddie, eyebrows furrowing. âIs that creepy?â
âNo, butââ Eddie shakes his head. âMe?â
âYeah.â Steve grins. âI think youâre pretty.â
Maybe Eddie hit his head when he fell. Maybe heâs hallucinating this. Maybe heâs gonna wake up on the floor out there, and Steve calling him pretty will all have been a delicious, far-fetched dream. Because thereâs just no way.Â
âYou think Iâm pretty,â Eddie says. When Steve nods, Eddie almost laughs. âAnd have you happened to look in a mirror recently?â
Steve laughs. âYeah,â he says, âBut somehow, Iâm not my own type.â
He keeps leaning in closer and itâs making it very hard for Eddie to come up with something intelligent to say. He should make a joke or something to prove that heâs very cool and collected, but his brain turns more and more to static the longer he stares into Steveâs eyes.Â
âUm,â Eddie says. Clever. Whatâs wrong with him? He doesnât usually get this flustered. But then, he doesnât usually talk to guys who look like Steve.Â
Steveâs smile is very self-satisfied as those gossamer fingers of his trail down past Eddieâs tattoos and brush over his nipple. Eddie takes in a sharp breath. âYou often invite strangers who youâve been stalking into your room to get âem shirtless and feel âem up?â he asks, aiming for aloof and entirely missing the mark.Â
âHmm, just the ones that spill punch on me,â Steve says, pinching Eddieâs nipple slightly. âAnd just the ones that I catch staring at me.â He leans in, putting his mouth inches away from Eddieâs ear. âI donât think youâre as subtle as you think you are.â
Unable to resist any longer, Eddie slides his hands around Steveâs waist. His skin is so smooth, so velvety. âWho says Iâm trying to be subtle?â he asks.Â
Grinning, Steve wraps his free arm around Eddieâs neck and pulls him in. Eddie kisses Steve eagerly. His lips are heavenly, so much softer than most guys Eddie has kissed. He tastes like strawberry lipgloss and punch. And he kisses like they have all the time in the world, which maybe they do. Nancyâs off with Robin somewhere, so thereâs no reason Eddie needs to rejoin the party any time soon.
They wind up on Steveâs bed, Steve on his back under Eddie. Eddie gets the fingers of one hand tangled in Steveâs hair. So silky, just like everything else about him. The man defines the word soft. It makes Eddie a little crazy, makes him want to dig his teeth and fingers in, ruin the undisturbed perfection. He goes after Steve hungrily, attacking his jaw and throat and collarbones like heâs starving. Steve seems happy to let him, pulling Eddieâs hips down flush with his and rolling his own hips gently up.
Eddieâs just thinking that heâd be happy to never stop kissing Steve exactly like this when thereâs a knock at the door. He pulls away and looks at it while Steve sighs.Â
âI have to answer that,â he says, sounding resigned.Â
âYou sure you have to?â Eddie asks, brushing the hair back off Steveâs forehead. He looks sort of wrecked, red marks already starting to form on his neck.
Steve nods. âIf itâs Robin or Max theyâll just let themselves in after thirty seconds.âÂ
He edges out from under Eddie and crosses over to the door. Eddie feels vindicated that he has to adjust himself in his jeans before opening the door a crack.Â
âHey, Robbie,â he says, âWhatâs up?â
âSteve! I have huge news!â Robin says from just out of sight. âNancy asked me to be herâwait, why donât you have a shirt on?â
Steve is forced back as Robin pushes the door open farther and pokes her head in. She looks over at the bed, sees Eddie, and grins. âOh, thatâs why,â she says, mischief in her voice.
âHey, whatâs up?â Eddie says, trying to sound casual.Â
âEddie?â He hears Nancyâs voice from the hall, and then her head is appearing in the doorway next to Robinâs. As soon as she sees him, she gives a triumphant laugh. âI knew it!â
Eddie buries his face in his hands, sure itâs burning.Â
âAlright thatâs enough,â he hears Steve say. Then thereâs the overlapping protests from the girls before the door clicks shut again.Â
Removing his hands, Eddie risks another glance and sees Steve coming back over to the bed, shaking his head. He slides onto the mattress next to Eddie and puts his arms around him. âCan you believe them?â he asks, not quite managing to hide his smile.Â
Smiling back, Eddie pinches Steve in the side. âYou sure you should have closed the door on them?â he asks, âSounds like they had big news.â
Steve shrugs. âItâs fine,â he says, âThey can tell us in the morning.â
âMorning, huh? Think weâre gonna be occupied until then?â
Smile turning devious, Steve kisses Eddie once before rolling him onto his back. âI think I can come up with a couple things to keep us busy,â he says.Â
And as Steve kisses him again, Eddieâs pretty sure he agrees.

I present to you:
Tommy and Josh are friends. Somehow after some calls they got friendly and at one point decided to just hang out after exchanging numbers and texting for a while. They clicked. They found out they both were gay and it's so easy to finally have a friend that gets it.
So at one of their hangouts after the hurrican thing Tommy talks about the stunt the 118 pulled and he is like making fun before he talks about this guy being a literal golden retriever, trying to encourage the them and Josh just laughs and says "That's Buck alright." And Tommy just slowly turns to Josh with a look, a look that Josh has come to know and Josh goes "No Tommy, no."
And Tommy is all like "I didn't even say anything!"
And Josh is like "I get it trust me. First few times I meet him, I also crushed but that man is straight and also a giant idiot. His heart is too big and he wouldn't know how to turn you down. As his friend, I am telling you do not."
And Tommy goes "fine" and then they continue on with Tommy telling Josh about meeting up with Eddie and Josh makes a joke about the two army guys obviously bonding.
Cut to like three weeks later (They have both had different shift schedules and Josh has helped Maddie with the wedding) and they meet up after the restaurant date and Josh can sense something is wrong with his friend.
He wants to probe but Tommy just says "Thought I had a chance with a cute guy bit turns out he wasn't ready for something" and Josh gets it. He's been there, it sucks sometimes and he just offers his friend a shoulder to lean.
Another two weeks pass and when they meet up again Tommy is smiling. Like his nose scrunch smile which he only does when he is really smitten and Josh has truly only seen it once. So he immediately goes into questioning mood but Tommy just laughs and says "You know that cute guy? I think he is ready" but he won't elaborate further. And Josh is trying but Tommy just keeps giving vague answers and wow, Josh truly has never seen Tommy like this and feels a swell of happiness because whoever has his friend smiling like that better be good and worth it.
Josh also coincidentally has a meet up with the Buckley-Han family (they are already married to him basically) and he notices how Buck is glancing at his phone a lot and having this goofy smile and wow. He makes a joke about Buck having found a new girlfriend and Buck sort of freezes and now Josh feels bad but then he smiles such a soft smile it kind of hits him in the chest when he says "I am seeing someone and I am really happy." Cut to Chim wanting to probe but Buck not bugging and Josh just feeling happy for his friend. Maddie suddenly turns and ask "Did you want to bring them to the wedding?" and Buck kind of sheepishly replies "I already invited them." And Maddie softly chuckles talking about how gone her brother is and Josh is suddenly aware that Buck is using only they/them which isn't weird but it's not how Buck usually talks.
And Chim pipes up and says "With how much time you have been spending talking complaining about Tommy before, I have no idea where you suddenly got a date" and OMG.
Buck flushes a bit, Maddie laughs and Josh slaps a hand over his mouth to stop a giggle coming out.
Buck notices of course he does and when they are done later he pulls Josh aside and wants to talk but Josh just throws himself at Buck, hugging him.
"If you break his heart as his friend I have to hurt you. But as your friend, I couldn't be more happier for you" to which Buck kind of melts, chuckles and returns the hug.
On the way home, after some more heartfelt words because he knows how difficult and hard this can be, Josh stops the car at Tommy's flat, knocks up a storm and pushes past Tommy only to explode in the hallway as soon as the door is closed.
"YOU ARE DATING EVAN BUCKLEY AND YOU DIDN'T THINK TO TELL ME!"
And Tommy is a bit flabbergasted and laughs to which Josh kind of gets upset and says "I love you, I am fully in support of your relationship, I couldn't be happier, he is a catch but damn, are you telling me I could have had a chance?"
Which just causes a ridiculous laughing and giggling fit between two grown ass adults that Josh and Tommy will be happy to deny ever happened.

I really think Eddie would propose to Steve every time they go to a restaurant just to get free dessert
because this man is a menace
Oh man, he wouldâve only started doing it after gay marriage was legalized too.
Itâs romantic when Eddie tells the waitress at Enzoâs that itâs Steveâs birthday for free tiramisu. Itâs their one-year anniversary and even though they can barely afford the meal, Eddie insists that they go. He makes the reservation months in advance, saves up all his money, and even dusts off Wayneâs one good suit so he looks nice.
His car battery unexpectedly dies a few days before and Eddie kinda already knows that he isnât going to be able to afford the meal and dessert, but he is going to make damn sure Steve gets his fancy Italian cake. And he does, after a whole song and dance that colors Steveâs face pink.
Steve gets the last laugh when it turns out Eddie doesnât like the coffee flavor of the tiramisu.
Itâs sweet when Eddie accompanies him and Hopper to a specialist Dr. Owens recommended for Steveâs worsening symptoms. Itâs sweet when Eddie holds his hand while they wait for results and sweeter when he insists in all his grand Eddie Munson fashion that today actually is Steveâs birthday and he deserves â nay, it is his god given right as a hero of this goddamn country  - to have cherry jell-o.
Itâs cute when on that same trip, Eddie lies to the hotel staff that Steve just got engaged so theyâd send complimentary champagne and chocolate covered strawberries up to their room (though they were bunking with Hopper so not too romantic).
Itâs funny when Eddie tells every restaurant they stop at in every city they visit that itâs Steveâs birthday so they can get free ice cream when theyâre twenty-somethings traveling the world on a nationwide tour.
Itâs so fucking embarrassing when, for no reason other than his own amusement, Eddie tells their waitress that theyâre waiting for Steveâs girlfriend to arrive. He says that Steve is going to propose and Eddie is there to capture the moment on his camera, and could they have champagne ready for when she gets there?
No one arrives because there is no girlfriend, no ring, no proposal, and the restaurant staff keep giving Steve sad sympathetic looks. Eddie spends the entire night laughing his ass off and is pleased as punch when the restaurant gives them the champagne for free.
The first time Eddie gets down on one knee at a restaurant, theyâve been legally married for sixteen days. They are not teenagers anymore. They are in their forties but Steve canât even find it in himself to be mortified at all the people staring at them because Eddie is asking him to marry him (again) and Steve wants to (again). They get a round of applause and a free chocolate cake.
The second time Eddie does it, Steve threatens to kill him. Eddie asks âbut youâll marry meâ and Steve angrily says âyes, of course, duh.â They get side-eyed and peach cobbler.
The fifth time Eddie gets down on one knee in the middle of a restaurant, Steve cuts him off half way and says, âSir, this is a business meeting. I am your co-worker.âÂ
#love the thought that both the Enzo staff and the nurse at the hospital know when Steveâs birthday is but humors Eddie because heâs clearly#putting in a lot of effort to get Steve a dessert#eddie munson tiktok saga#steve harrington#eddie munson

Okay this one is a spoiler
Noir being a sort of big sibling to the other spiders. PB may be the team dad, and Ham is the weird gay uncle, but Benj is the team big bro.
He teases Pavitr about how he acts around his girlfriend's Dad, but he's also keeping a close eye on the guy just to make sure he's a good person
Margo's trying out a new style? You look like you're going out for a night in my world. Then the moment someone says anything vaguely negative about her style he's rolling up his sleeves.
Gwen's having trouble with people in her school? Keep your Pops' old colleagues busy, Gwendy, Benji's gonna have to run away from the cops when this is done. The only person who's allowed to give Gwen trouble is him.
He mocks Hobie's British accent, but is always backing him - when Hobie's out doing stuff, Benj isn't far behind, with loaded guns and a desire to eat the rich.
Miles is tied up by Miles G (MG)? Listen up, you are family material, but until you accept the dynamic, the only one allowed to beat up Miles is me, wait in line.
He goes straight to Peni's world to kick the shit out of whoever thought a fourteen year old, probably nine when she started, piloting her dead father's mech was a good idea. That doesn't stop him from calling her all forms of short.
He learns to style everyone's different hair textures, he looks into fashion and make up, he stands up for the spiders, even if he's probably like almost nineteen. He starts learning Hindi and Japanese, he shows an interest in their interests, he sings russian lullabies to Mayday to get her to sleep. Miles looks at him hopefully so he sings to the rest of them too. Mass cuddle piles, he falls asleep alone and wakes up covered in spiders
He tries to be the big sibling he wishes Teresa and Eddie were. He says I love you a lot, and he reiterates how proud he is of them all the time, even for minor things like remembering to eat or going to sleep at a good time.
He's this close to telling Miguel to back the fuck up to his face, and he will find a way to punch Spot into next week or die trying.
He will cry if they cry.

Buck coming out to Maddie:
Just kinda pure chaos, total sibling energy, as it should be, heâs talking about his date with her and about how it went horribly awryâŠ
Maddie immediately assumes that Buck was on a date with a married woman!? Like ok, but WHY THOUGH?
Then Buck says âhe left me outside the restaurantâ, and Maddieâs like âhold upâŠback this up a second, letâs go back to the pronounâ because Buck kept leaving out that he was on his first date with a man (Tommy).
Buck being like âyeah, ok I was on a date with a guy, but thatâs not the pointâ HOW IS IT NOT THE POINT EVAN! Then Maddie starts to get why Buck is so worried about lying to Eddie.
Buck bringing up that heâs an ally again and Maddie saying âso now, youâre more than an allyâ. Which is exactly what we all yelled at the screen the first time we saw the date scene, because itâs true! (Like come on now Buck! You kissed the guy!)
And of course this moment:
And Iâm sure this had us all laughing our heads off, because no Evan it is not normal straight male behavior to âcheck out a hot guyâs assâ! đ€Ł
Sir, are you openly admitting to possibly checking out your best friendâs ass at some point, because I think he definitely counts as a hot guy and he definitely has a cute butt! đ« đ€
I digress⊠after the second shock of her morning of learning that Buck had a date with Tommy, (the same Tommy he was complaining about to Maddie only a couple days ago)âŠ
The scene, of course, ends off with Maddie being the wonderful, supportive QUEEN of an older sister she is and tells Buck to tell her everything about the âhot pilotâ. l love them so much!
And Buck gets all smiley and shy and adorable because he really likes Tommy! đ
Buck coming out to Eddie:
Then we have this scene, and I feel like itâs the complete opposite from how he came out to MaddieâŠ
Eddie is over at Buckâs place trying to avoid his girlfriend and his catholic guilt and doesnât know what to do about it.
Eddie says, that Buck and Tommy got the right idea of just hanging out (guys being dudes), he however, is completely oblivious of the (dudes being gay/bi) part of their plans.
(Please tell me you know what Iâm referencing in the red text)
Buck somehow manages (in a much smoother way than how he told Maddie) to tell Eddie that when he ran into them at the restaurant that they were actually on a date!
I think that the first thing Eddie said was âwait, Tommyâs gay?â Like heâs shocked about Tommy, but not Buck?
(I suppose though, it makes sense that Eddie and Tommy didnât talk about their sexuality when they hung out, like itâs not necessarily something that needs to be brought up purposefully. It shouldnât matter anyways. If Tommy felt like it would have effected their friendship he probably would have said somethingâŠ)
Clearly, Eddieâs totally fine with that and goes on to reassure Buck that nothing will change between them. As we can see a few seconds later when Eddie teases Buck a little after hearing he basically got dumped halfway through the date.
And of course that brings us to these wonderful moments:
Eddie being a supportive KING! We love that for him! And of course Buck and Eddie, the sensitive, vulnerable guys they are now start to have a nice little heart to heart chat about Buckâs feelings for Tommy.
Buck says âI kinda canât stop thinking about himâand gets all smiley and shy and adorable again because he really likes Tommy! đ
We get Eddie telling Buck to call Tommy because thereâs no way that once Tommy actually gets to know Buck that he wonât love him like the rest of the team! Also talking some sense into himself along the wayâŠ
And the hug! Itâs my life, itâs my everything!
(other than Buck and Tommy being super adorable and holding hands at the end of the episode, anywayâŠ)
Just this whole scene between Buck and Eddie was so warm and soft and loving⊠but like this hug was just so beautiful, chefs kiss. The way Eddie turned as he was about to leave and just thought âI canât leave without giving Buck a hugâ I CANâT!
They love and care about each other so much you can see it in how they look at each other, theyâve been through so much together their friendship is amazing and beautiful and I love it so much!
Who knows what could happen in the future with Buddie⊠maybe they become romantically involved, maybe they donât. I donât care as long as we get more moments like this between them in the future!
The situation they find themselves in at the end of the episode though⊠well I guess weâll be waiting until May 2nd to find out what exactly happened there⊠đ«

Season Two Halloween AU Part Six
Part One, Part Two, Part Three, Part Four, Part Five
Synopsis: What if Eddie had been at Tina's Halloween Party in Season Two? Featuring Steve!Whump, Stancy Breakup, and Eddie just trying to keep up with all these new revelations about who King-Steve actually is...
As always, thank you thank you to the lovely Jess @strangersteddierthings for letting me inundate you with spoilers and general Stranger Things/Steddie screaming!
[CW: Period Typical Homophobia from the antagonist, violence, gore, bodily injury, Billy Hargrove is his own warning.]
***
Shit.
Shit, shit, shit.Â
Eddie takes a step closer to Steve, but Dustin is faster.Â
He pulls on the jacket sleeve, taking Steve to the window and Eddie can't even find the words to say to make him stop.
He wants to tell Dustin to give them a second, he wants to press pause on this whole horrible night and ask Steve to explain.
Because in what world did this make sense?Â
There is no possible way Steve is gay, and even if is, the guy is fresh off of being dumped by his girlfriend just days before.Â
On top of that, they're all running on fumes from a day searching for Dart, fortifying an old school bus, laying the Demodog trap in the junkyard, and finally coming back to the Byers to make their plan.Â
Eddie's stomach growls at the sudden thought and he realizes just how hungry he actually is after all the adrenalin and running around they've done.
If Eddie is this tired and hungry, he can't imagine Steve is faring much better, he's not thinking straight.Â
He can't be.Â
Because if he was, if he had meant it, and Eddie just--
"Oh shit," Steve says lowly from the edge of the intact window. He presses against the wall, keeping himself out of sight as much as he can, "what the fuck is Hargrove doing here?"Â
"That's what I'm saying," Dustin hisses, his eyes wide, he sticks close to Steve's side, away from the window and turns to Max, "what the hell is your brother doing here".
Max shoots Dustin a look and for a second Eddie thinks she's going to tell Dustin off before her face suddenly pales.
"He can't know I'm here, he'll kill me".
Lucas shifts closer to Max, knocking his shoulder into hers before turning his attention back to Steve, "he almost ran us over once, we were on our bikes".Â
Their bikesâŠJesus.
It hits Eddie suddenly that they're just kids, all of thirteen years old, with an unpredictable asshole standing just outside their door.
Steve sighs suddenly and squares his shoulders, his big hazel eyes move from Max, to Lucas, to Dustin, and Mike, before finally landing on Eddie. His brow pinches in the middle as his expression shifts into the same determined one from the day before.
But this time there is no nail bat in his hands.Â
Shit.
"Steve, dont," Eddie says, darting across the room towards him, but Steve is too quick for him.
He reaches for the door and unlatches the bolt, "stay out of sight, all of you, I'll be right back".
It's a promise Eddie isn't sure Steve can make.
The kids immediately move towards the edge of the window before Eddie whispers out a sharp, "Go to the boarded one shitheads, he's going to see you".Â
Eddie shakes his head at the four identical eye rolls, but the kids do as he says and make their way to the far window he and Steve just closed up.Â
There are enough gaps between the wood slats that they can see Steve make his way to the path as Billy steps around his car.Â
"Am I dreaming or is that you Harrington?"
The cherry of his cigarette glows in the dark as Billy takes a long drag before flicking it into the street.Â
"Yeah it's me, don't cream your pants," Steve's voice is steady, the smooth lilt of his 'King' voice takes over and it's so different from what Eddie has come to realize is Steve's normal speaking voice that it throws him for a bit of a loop.Â
Just how much has Steve been pretending all this time.
Moonlight casts shadows over half of Billy's face but it doesn't hide the way his lip pulls over his teeth or the dark glint in his eye as he pulls off his jacket and tosses it through the open window of his Camaro.
"I'm looking for my step sister, little birdy told me she was here," Billy says, a sneer pulling at his mouth as his eyes scan the house before landing on Steve again, "which would already be weird enough, and now I find you here".Â
"I'm doing a favour for Mrs. Wheeler and Byers, babysitting, I don't think I've seen your step sister, what's she look like?"
Eddie can't see Steve's face from this angle but the words come out smoothly, no stumbles with the lie.
But Billy stares just a little too long for it to have properly landed.
"You do favours for people like that huh," Billy laughs, ignoring the question entirely as he takes another step closer. He and Steve are similar heights but Billy has a good twenty to thirty pounds of muscle on Steve and Eddie begins to sweat at the manic look on Billy's face.
"You're something else Harrington, I don't think I'd be able to stick around if my girl fucked someone else--"
"Your sister's Not Here," Steve bites out through gritted teeth. He steps into Billy's space, his shoulders high with tension and anger, "leave".Â
Billy laughs, a low dangerous sound, "you know, this whole night's been giving me a weird fucking feeling Harrington".
Billy tips his head back and leaves it there for just a moment and Eddie watches as Steve relaxes for just a second too long, tilting his head in confusion.
"And I think you're lying to me".
Billy punctuates the words by slamming his hands into Steve's shoulders, knocking him clean off his feet.
Steve hits the concrete hard, managing to roll enough for his shoulder to connect with the ground first rather than his head. He manages to sit up slightly, looking at Billy now with a mixture of surprise and fear in his wide eyes as he shifts to look back at the house.
Billy smirks and leans over Steve, "I'm just going to see for myself, told you to plant your feet pretty boy".
He stands up to his full height again and kicks Steve in the ribs. Hard.Â
Eddie curses quietly as Steve curls in on himself and makes a horrible retching sound, but there isn't time to worry about Steve as Billy comes lumbering up the front path towards the Byers front door.
Which is unlocked.
Eddie hadn't even thought to latch it.
"Hide. Now!" Eddie hisses at Max, she opens her mouth to argue but Lucas gives her a push to the shoulder and looks at her with pleading eyes.
"Just go okay?" Lucas whispers, pushing her again towards the kitchen.
She shoots Lucas a fierce glare over her shoulder and disappears around the corner.Â
Eddie steps back towards the kids, putting himself between them and the door, just in time for it to crash open.Â
Billy looks around the room, frowning slightly at the boarded up window and all of the drawings covering nearly every inch of the place like vines, before his gaze lands on Eddie and the kids behind him.
"Well, well, well, this is quite the party here huh boys," Billy sneers, kicking the door closed behind him.
"A private one," Eddie manages to keep his tone even as he takes a step closer, drawing Billy's eye away from the kids, "what do you want Hargrove".
Billy scoffs and tries to step around Eddie, yelling at the top of his voice as he moves, "Maxine! You got three seconds to get you skinny ass out here before I bring you out myself".Â
Eddie mirrors his path, blocking his movement.
"Who the fuck are you talking to man, I guess thats what happens when you take too many balls to face huh?" Eddie says with a mocking laugh in his voice, he lets the corner of his lip rise in a cold sneer.
Billy glares, "that's rich coming from a queer like you," he lifts his hand to shove Eddie's shoulder roughly, but Eddie's dealt with assholes like Billy time and time again and heâs expecting the push.Â
He stays standing, keeping himself between Billy and the kids.
Billy shakes his head, "I don't know why you're involved in this, are you revenge for Byers or something? I ain't here for you or your little boyfriend out there, freak".Â
"Just leave us alone!" Dustin shouts, drawing Billy's eye for the first time.Â
"Yeah fuck off!" Mike screams as Lucas stands up, glaring venomously at Billy. He has his wrist rocket raised, armed with a piece of jagged wood from the broken window.Â
"Sinclair," Billy's eyes narrow as they land on Lucas, "if I find out Maxine is here because of you--"
"You'll what?" Eddie growls, he hears a door open softly behind them but keeps his eyes on Billy, not taking any chances.
Billy seems to hesitate, his eyes dropping down to Eddie's fisted hands before rising again to meet his gaze, "Max already knows what happens when people don't listen, but I guess I'll have to show you the hard way Munson".Â
Billy moves like a viper, his fist rears back and swings forward so quickly that Eddie barely has time to react, catching the punch in the jaw as he tries to move out of the way.Â
"Sonovabitch," Eddie hisses, cradling his face. His vision swims as Billy reaches for his shirt collar, but the second blow never comes.
Billy's hand falls as Steve appears, barreling into Billy, shoulder first like a linebacker, sending them both crashing into the floor. Billy's head smacks into the linoleum, forcing a low groan out of him.
Steve recovers quicker, rolling off the other teen before rising to his knees. Heâs breathing hard and holding his ribs with one hand while the other braces on the coffee table as he stands up.
"Holy shit," Dustin laughs out breathlessly as Steve limps closer, moving into Eddie's space.
"You guys okay?" Steve asks softly, he lifts his hand up towards Eddie's aching jaw but stops just shy of touching him. He blinks once and moves away again before turning to the kids.
They all freeze at the sound of a wild laugh behind them.
Billy runs a shaking hand through his mullet, slowly sitting up, scoffing when his fingers come away red.Â
"Finally!" Billy crows, "the King Steve I've been hearing about shows his face, where was he when I gave you that black eye yesterday huh?"Â
Billy wipes the blood from the side of his head on his jeans and laughs again, a horrible cackle that seems to echo around the small space of the living room. He paws at something on the floor as he manages to roll over onto his knees, breathing hard.
"Let me give you some advice Harrington,â Billy says through gritted teeth, bracing one hand on the coffee table while the other remains strangely hidden behind his back.
Steve says nothing, moving himself to stand in front of Eddie and the kids. Billy stumbles slightly and shakes his head as he manages to get his feet back under himself.Â
"If you're gonna hit someone, make sure they don't get back up".
By the time Eddie sees what Billy has clenched in his hand it's too late.Â
Billy swings his hand out and catches Steve in the temple with an ashtray, the ceramic shatters on impact sending pieces of pottery in all directions and embedding several into Billyâs hand.Â
Eddie's heart nearly stops at the wet crunch it makes as Steve's head whips back at the impact. He crumples limply to the floor, his head bouncing once against the linoleum before Steve lays still on the living room floor.
Eddie feels like he's underwater. Like time has slowed down and he's sinking.
He doesn't realize he's moving until he's in front of Billy, until he's gripping the edges of Billy's shirt in his hands, until he's shaking him like a ragdoll.
Eddie's never felt such overwhelming rage and fear, its coursing through him, burning him up from the inside out.
Steve isn't moving.
There's only coherent thought playing on a loop in his head.Â
He's dead, he's dead, he's dead.
"Billy!" A small voice cuts through Eddie's yelling, when had he started yelling, from the kitchen door.
Billy's face tips towards it, his dazed eyes widen slightly and his lip curls back in a feral smile.
"I fucking knew it," Billy slurs out as Eddie throws him to the floor.Â
He laughs again and again, his head bleeding freely now, red lines drip down his face.
Max takes a shaky step into the living room; she ignores Lucas yelling at her to run and continues forward, Will's second dose of sedative clutched in her left hand.Â
Max pushes past Eddie, drops to her knees and plunges the needle into Billy's neck with a roar. Eddie watches as Billy flinches at the impact and lifts his hands to frantically rip the needle out.
"What the fuck?!" He whispers, trying to sit up but his shaking arms only drop him back to the floor, "what did you do?"
"Made it so you can't hurt my friends," Max says lowly, she trembles as Eddie helps her stand and directs her towards the boys who immediately fold her into a hug between the three of them.Â
Eddie keeps his eyes on Billy until his breathing smooths out and his unfocused eyes finally close before heâs on his feet. He crosses the room in two strides and drops to his knees in front of Steve, letting his uncle's voice run through everything he ever taught him about first aid.
Don't move them, keep them talking, keep them warm.
Eddie's hands shake as he reaches out for Steve's neck and feels for a pulse, trying not to look at the blood coating Steve's face or the shards of ceramic in his hair.
"Is heâŠ" Dustin says beside Eddie, startling him. The whole house has gone eerily silent as the kids finally make their way towards them, they don't crowd him the way Dustin has though.
Eddie swallows and moves his fingers slightly until he finds it, a thin reedy pulse.Â
He's alive.Â
Eddie feels his eyes sting and a wet hysterical laugh falls from his mouth. Steve is nowhere near okay, but he's alive.
He's alive.

Chapter 4 (5k) under the cut
The day of the wedding arrives with an almost surreal sense of calm. The venue, a charming garden nestled behind a quaint bed and breakfast just out of town, is adorned with delicate fairy lights and fresh flowers. Eddie stands in front of a mirror in a small, cozy room, adjusting his tie for the tenth time. He takes a deep breath, trying to steady the nervous energy buzzing through him.
Chrissy, his best person, just like Robin is Steveâs, stands beside him, offering a reassuring smile. "You look great, Teddy. Steveâs going to swoon when he sees you.â
He looks at his best friend in the mirror and gives her a small smile. "You know it's not like that, Chris."
She hums. "You keep saying that, but I don't know. Yeah, you're getting married so he gets his inheritance, I get it. But that's not what the way he looks at you says, honey."
"Chris -"
"I'm just saying. He was flirting with you when you two first met, so he must think you're hot."
"Yeah, and I blew it," Eddie reminds her, his voice forlorn. He's still kicking himself over how stupid he was, how prejudiced he was, not realizing that this great guy was hitting on him and blowing his chance by being a jerk to him.
By the time he finally realized that Steve was actually a good guy, he had already backed off and stopped all his earlier attempts to get to know Eddie. Eddie had gotten the message loud and clear. He was too late, and Steve had already moved on.
A knock on the door interrupts their conversation. Eddie is glad, especially when he sees whoâs standing in the doorway.
"Wayne!" he exclaims, jumping into the older man's arms. "You made it."
The manâs laughter rumbles against Eddieâs chest. "I told you I would be here, son. It's not every day your nephew gets married, is it?"
Eddie sinks deeper into the warm embrace, inhaling the smell of Old Spice, cigarette smoke, and the laundry detergent his uncle has been using for as long as Eddie can remember. It smells like home.
Eddie reluctantly pulls away from Wayneâs embrace, his heart feeling lighter. âIâm really glad youâre here, Wayne. It means a lot to me.â
Wayne pats Eddieâs shoulder affectionately. âWouldnât miss it for the world. Now, whereâs this Steve fella Iâve been hearing so much about?â
Eddieâs stomach tightens at the mention of Steve. âHeâs probably getting ready~~.~~ Let me introduce you.â
They make their way through the cozy hallways and out into the garden. The atmosphere is cheerful, filled with laughter and the scent of blooming flowers. They turn left to Steve's dressing room and when they knock, Robin answers with a busy expression, a tie pin between her teeth. Eddie spots Steve in front of the mirror, nervously adjusting his tie.
âSteve!â Eddie calls out, his voice steady but with a hint of excitement. He's unexpectedly nervous about introducing Steve to his uncle. Wayne is his only family, the man who raised him like Eddie was his own son, and his opinion means a whole lot to Eddie. He's always wanted Wayne to be proud of him, and he can't help but hope that he'll approve of Steve.
Steve turns, his eyes lighting up when he sees Eddie. He walks over, his smile widening as he notices Wayne but Eddie can tell by the crinkling of his brows and the tense line of his shoulders that Steveâs just as nervous as Eddie is. âHey, Eddie. This must be your uncle.â
Wayne steps forward, extending a hand. âNice to finally meet you, Steve. Iâve heard a lot about you.â
That makes Steve pause, even as he reaches for the offered hand. "You did?" he asks, sounding way too surprised and incredulous, and Eddie winces.
Well, yeah, Wayne may have had a front-row seat as he went from being angry about how unfairly hot the jock who invaded their apartment is to being distraught when he realized that said jock is actually really dreamy and sweet and that Eddie is such a fucking idiot for blowing his chance with him.
Not that Steve needs to know any of this. Eddie had told Wayne an only slightly altered version of Steve's cover story, so he hopes Wayne won't bring up Eddie's pathetic pining and mooning.
Steve catches himself, and as he shakes Wayne's hand firmly, his expression becomes warm and welcoming. "I wanted to say: Nice to meet you too, Mr. Munson. Eddie's told me a lot about you, too."
Wayne just chuckles at Steve's fumble. âPlease, call me Wayne, youâre part of the family now,â he insists, his eyes twinkling with genuine interest. âSo, youâre the one whoâs been making my nephew all starry-eyed, huh?â
Eddie feels his cheeks heat up, and he tries to brush it off with a laugh. âWayne!â
Steve chuckles, a slight blush coloring his own cheeks. âI guess so. Eddieâs been pretty special to me too.â
Wayneâs smile widens, and he looks between the two men with approval. âWell, itâs good to see you two together. Eddie deserves someone who appreciates him.â
Steveâs eyes soften as he glances at Eddie. âI appreciate him more than he knows.â
Eddieâs heart skips a beat at Steveâs words, and for a moment, he almost forgets about the ruse. The sincerity in Steveâs eyes makes him wonder, just for a moment, if maybe he isnât the only one harboring some very real feelings.
Wayne claps Steve on the back, breaking the moment. âIâm looking forward to seeing you two tie the knot. If you ever hurt him, though, youâll have to answer to me and my shotgun.â
Steve nods solemnly. âI understand. You have my word, Wayne.â
Wayne gives a satisfied nod before turning to Eddie. âAlright, Iâll let you two finish getting ready. Just wanted to say hi before the ceremony.â
Eddie watches as Wayne heads off to mingle with the other guests, feeling a mixture of relief and anxiety. He turns to Steve, whoâs still watching him with that same warm expression.
âYou okay?â Steve asks softly.
"Yeah, just nervous," Eddie admits, running a hand through his hair. "This all feels so... real, it's fucking with my head a little bit, I guess. It's weird that our friends and family are all celebrating this special day with so much, I dunno, enthusiasm. They're all so happy for us, Steve."
Steve steps closer and puts a reassuring hand on Eddie's shoulder. "I know. And I feel bad about lying to them, too. I wish we didn't have to, but..." he trails off, and Eddie knows he means to say that he doesn't want to get any more people involved in what is really a scam. But Eddie can't help wishing they didn't have to lie because it's real.
"I get it, Stevie. And I'm fine. All in, right?"
Steve takes his hands and squeezes them. "All in."
The ceremony itself is a quick affair. The officiator is an elderly woman, who speaks in a warm and calm voice about marriage and promises, about sickness and health, about sacrifices and the blessing of a life full of love and joy and laughter. Eddie can hear a few sniffles from their friends and family, but he only has eyes for Steve. Steve, who looks so handsome in his black suit and fitting bowtie, his hair tussled artfully and his hazel eyes shining with emotion. Itâs not real, a voice inside his head reminds him, but just for this moment he quiets it and enjoys the feeling of having the man heâs actually in love with look at him like that.
When itâs time for the vows, Eddieâs voice trembles slightly, but his words are steady and heartfelt. He talks about how much Steve has been surprising him again and again, showing him so many unexpected sides of himself. When Eddie had thought Steve to be just another rich asshole jock heâs proven to Eddie how heâs caring and brave, opening his heart to Eddie when all his previous experiences taught him not to.
âAnd I canât wait for you to keep me on my toes for the rest of our lives,â Eddie ends. He means it. If he has any say in it, heâll happily have Steve prove him wrong for as long as he lives.
Steve blinks back tears as he takes Eddieâs hands. His vows sound just as heartfelt, just as real and tomorrow, Eddie will probably overthink what it all means. But today, he lets his heart enjoy them.
After their vows they exchange rings, and the officiant pronounces them married. As they kiss, the garden erupts in applause and cheers and Eddie can hear Dustin whoop and Jeff whistle loudly. He feels a wave of happiness and relief wash over him and sees the same sentiment reflected on Steveâs face.
He nudges him, the grin loud in his voice. âThat wasnât so bad, wasnât it?â
Steve shrugs, aiming for nonchalant and failing miserably because of the answering grin splitting his face.
âYou think your grandma wouldâve liked it?â Eddie asks and Steve laughs out loud.
âOh she would have hated every second of it.â
âGood. Thatâs good.â
âYeah, it is.â Suddenly, Steveâs much closer than he had been seconds ago, their noses almost touching. âThank you, Eddie. For everything.â And then Steve kisses his cheek, his soft lips gracing the arch of his cheekbone in a way that feels more intimate than the quick kiss they exchanged when the officiant told them to.
The reception is a blur of laughter, dancing, and heartfelt toasts. Robin and Chrissyâs are both hilarious, while Wayne chokes up a bit when he asks Steve to take good care of the only son Wayneâs ever had. Steve takes Eddieâs hand and squeezes it while looking at Wayne and promising him to always look out for Eddie and care for him.
Even Captain Hopper says a few words, and Eddie can tell how much that means to Steve.
The night ends when Eddie falls asleep with his head on Steveâs shoulder, slightly drooling on his husband's lapel. Steve half-drags, half-carries him to their room and helps him undress to his underwear before Eddie crawls under the sheets. When Steve offers to sleep on the ground, Eddie is too tired to argue. Instead, he just pulls back the blanket on the other side of the bed and makes grabby hands at him.
Steve chuckles softly and slides into bed next to Eddie. The last thing Eddie feels is Steveâs breath against his nape as he tells him goodnight. He falls asleep with a smile on his face.
The next morning, they enjoy breakfast with their closest friends and family. The air is filled with laughter and the clinking of dishes as everyone shares stories from the previous night. Wayne presents them with their wedding gift - a two-week stay at a cabin situated by one of the Great Lakes in the area. It's the same place where Wayne used to take Eddie for fishing trips when he was a boy.
âThe cabin,â Wayne tells Steve, âhas always been a special place for Eddie and me. I thought you two could use some peace and quiet after all this excitement.â
Eddieâs eyes glisten as he accepts the gift. âThanks, Wayne. That means a lot.â
Steve places a hand on Eddieâs shoulder, his own smile warm and genuine. âIt sounds perfect. Thank you, Wayne.â
As breakfast winds down, Eddie and Steve find themselves surrounded by well-wishers. They say goodbye to everyone, exchanging hugs and promises of phone calls and visits.
Wayne pats Eddie on the back. "Take care of each other up there. And don't forget to fish.â He adds with a deadpan look.
Eddie groans in embarrassment. "Oh my God."
When everyone but them and Robin and Chrissy have left, Eddie feels a mixture of excitement and nervousness. They're supposed to go back to Steve's apartment, while Chrissy and Robin will go back to Chrissy's apartment. He moved in with Steve the week before, and they both helped Robin move in with Chrissy. He was glad that the wedding had taken up a lot of their time and energy, enough to distract Steve from missing his other half too much.
That will change now, but at least they have two full weeks at the cabin for Steve to get used to having Eddie around a lot more.
The drive to the cabin two days later is filled with lighthearted banter about music and comfortable silences as Steve and Eddie enjoy the scenic views on their way to their destination. It feels easy between them, and Eddie curses himself once again that he could have had this for years. Like Elizabeth Bennet, his own pride and prejudice got in the way.
When they finally arrive, they're greeted by the sight of a quaint cabin nestled on the shore of one of the Great Lakes, its surroundings offering a sense of peace and seclusion. There are no other cabins in sight, and Eddie knows from all the times he's been here with Wayne that the nearest neighbors are about 15 to 20 minutes away on foot, and the nearest store is in a small village about 20 minutes away by car.
"Your uncle was right, it's perfect here after all the stress and excitement of the last few weeks," Steve says as they gather their belongings from the car and approach the cabin. The lake is right in front of them, the sun reflecting off it in a way that Eddie has come to associate with endless summers spent here fishing with his uncle.
"Yeah, don't tell him I said that, but Wayne's usually right about things."
Steve mimics zipping his lips, earning a laugh from Eddie.
As they step inside, they take a tour of the small cabin. There's a decently sized open kitchen and a living room with a small couch and a dining table. No TV, which wonât be a problem because Eddie brought his laptop. The bathroom is equally small but has a rather big walk-in shower, something Eddie canât help but imagine testing out with Steve. Him on his knees in front of Steve, while droplets of water rain down on them, catching in the thick patch of chest hair and running down towardsâŠ
âEddie,â Steve calls, ripping him from his fantasy.
âWhatâs the matter?â he calls back, quickly hurrying out of the bathroom and towards the only room they havenât checked out yetâthe bedroom.
Which he quickly remembers has only one bed. Eddie had slept on the couch when he had been still small enough to do so and later on an air mattress they brought along.
Steve glances at him with wide eyes and then back at the small couch in the living room, immediately offering to take it. Eddie shakes his head.
"It's fine, Steve. We've shared a bed before," Eddie tells him with a reassuring smile. His cheeks heat with the memory of Steveâs warm breath against his nape before he fell asleep on their wedding night. When he had woken up the next morning, Steve had already been gone from the bed, something he mourned for the five minutes or so it took Steve to step into their room with only a towel slung around his hips. The sight had been the best consolation prize he couldâve asked for.
Steve looks at him, relieved. "If you say so. Just don't hog all the blankets."
Eddie grins. "No promises."
They unpack their bags and settle in, the cozy cabin quickly feeling like home. The first few days fall into a blissful routineâswimming in the lake, taking long walks along the shoreline, cooking meals together, and watching "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" on Eddie's laptop.
On their second afternoon, while preparing lunch, Eddie tries to impress Steve with his nonexistent proficiency in making pancakes. This earns him the heavenly sound of Steveâs laughter as his sad attempts to flip a pancake end with batter splattered everywhere.
"You're supposed to flip it, not fling it," Steve teases, wiping batter off Eddieâs cheek. Eddie's cheeks heat under his gentle touch.
Eddie chuckles, shaking his head. "Hey, I'm trying. Cooking was never my strong suit."
Steve smiles, handing him another spatula. "Well, lucky for you, I'm a great teacher."
And he is, even if the way he presses himself up against Eddie's back, the way his big hand rests on Eddie's wrist as he holds the pan, is unfairly distracting. Eddie messes up a few more times, mostly because he gets caught up in the way Steve feels, smells, and sounds every time he gives Eddie instructions in a soft yet firm voice.
When Eddie finally gets it right, Steve's praise sears itself into his brain, altering his brain chemistry irrevocably.
âSee? Youâve got it!â Steve exclaims, his voice filled with genuine pride.
Eddie grins, feeling a warmth that has nothing to do with the stove. "All thanks to my amazing teacher."
Steve laughs, leaning in close. "I knew you had it in you."
Eddie canât help but flirt back. "Guess you'll have to keep teaching me things, then."
Steveâs eyes sparkle with mischief. "Oh, I plan to."
They fall into an easy rhythm, working together in the kitchen, their movements synchronized as if they've been doing this for years. The cabin becomes their little sanctuary, where the outside world seems to fade away. It's easy to forget that this is all just part of their ruse because nothing about the way they act around each other feels fake.
One evening a few days later, they walk along the lake, the setting sun casting a golden glow over the water. Steve skips stones across the surface, watching the ripples spread outward, and Eddie is once again reminded of Steve's past as a high school jock. However, the thought doesn't bring up the old resentment. Instead, he feels a little jealous and a lot turned on by the competent way Steve masters things like flipping pancakes or skipping stones.
"You know," Steve says, breaking the comfortable silence, "this place is really special. I'm glad Wayne thought of it."
Eddie nods, admiring the way Steve's eyes reflect the fading light. "Yeah, it brings back a lot of good memories. When I first came to live with Wayne, I was angry all the time. At everyone. Mostly at myself, I guess. It probably wasn't easy for Wayne, the way I shut him out and acted like it was such a burden to live with him. He brought me here about a year after I moved in, and at first, I thought it was his way of punishing me for my bad behavior. Turns out, forced proximity helps you get over some stupid hang-ups pretty quickly. We've been here every year since, until I moved out at 20."
Steve listens to the story in silence. When Eddieâs done, he says, âIâm glad you had Wayne growing up.â
"Yeah, me too. The old man's got a big heart and he loves taking in strays. Before you know it, he'll be calling you âsonâ and forcing you to watch baseball with him every season.â
âThat sounds pretty awesome, actually.â
Eddie laughs. "It is. Though I have to warn you, he's a die-hard Cubs fan. Thereâs no escape from it."
Steve chuckles, tossing another stone. "Well, Iâm a White Sox fan, so Iâm sure weâll have plenty to argue about."
Eddie raises an eyebrow. "Oh, a White Sox fan? This is going to be interesting."
Steve grins. "Trust me, I can hold my own in a baseball debate."
Eddie smiles, feeling a warmth in his chest that has nothing to do with the setting sun. "You're a good guy, Steve."
Steve looks at him, eyes softening. "So are you, Eddie."
They share a quiet smile before continuing their walk, the air filled with the sounds of nature and the occasional splash of a fish jumping.
Eddie cannot remember the last time he felt so at peace with himself and the world.
Later that night, they find themselves sitting side by side on the bed, sharing a bowl of popcorn as they immerse themselves in yet another episode of Buffy. By now it has become part of their routine, all their days ending the same way. The first night, they had kept their distance, but the small screen and the growing familiarity between them soon made them sit closer and closer.
Now their backs rest comfortably against the headboard, their shoulders occasionally brush against each other, and their legs rest comfortably together under the blanket.
"I gotta say, Angel was always meant to be with Buffy," Steve suddenly supplies, apropos of nothing.
Eddie scoffs and turns to look at him in disbelief. "Oh, come on! Are you still stuck in the 90s? Spike was the one for her, no doubt about it."
They both reach for the popcorn bowl, their eyes never leaving the screen as Buffy and Angel dance together at Buffy's prom.
"But, Eddie," Steve insists, "Angel had depth. He understood Buffy's inner turmoil like no one else."
Eddie shakes his head, a smirk on his lips. "Depth? Please. Angel was brooding half the time, and when he wasn't, he was busy being melodramatic about his curse. Spike, on the other hand, embraced his vampiric nature and challenged Buffy in a way that Angel never did."
As the scene ends, Steve gestures to the screen. "But Angel had this epic love story with Buffy! They were soulmates, destined to be together."
"Soulmates, shmoulmates," Eddie retorts, leaning closer to the laptop. "Buffy needed someone who could stand toe-to-toe with her, someone who wasn't afraid to call her out on her nonsense. Spike did that and more."
Steve reaches for the beers on the floor next to him and hands a fresh one to Eddie, who gives him a grateful nudge with his shoulder before taking a sip.
"Yeah, but Angel was her first love. You can't deny the significance of that," Steve argues, taking a sip of his own beer.
The argument makes Eddie smile involuntarily because it's such a Steve thing to say. He's a romantic at heart, one who doesn't do a very good job of hiding it.
Eddie nods in agreement because he can see Steve's point, but then he remembers Steve's story about the first girl he loved and how the breakup left him pretty messed up. "First love doesn't always mean forever love, Steve. Buffy grew, she changed, and so did what she needed in a partner. Spike wasn't always what she wanted, but he was what she needed and I think deep down she knew that and it scared the hell outta her."
Steve looks at him with an unreadable expression and says, "Maybe you're right. I guess love is pretty scary."
Feeling like they're no longer talking about Buffy Summers, Eddie clears his throat awkwardly. "Yeah, it is," he agrees, reaching into the popcorn bowl just to have something to do.
Steve seems to have the same idea, because suddenly their fingers brush against each other as they reach for the same handful of popcorn.
The moment their fingers touch, it ignites a spark, an electric charge that leaves them frozen in the moment, their eyes meeting in the dim light cast by the laptop screen. The world seems to pause, time standing still as Eddie recalls the story Steve had told everyone. It had sounded like such a funny cover story to explain their sudden and unexpected marriage, but now Eddie doesnât feel like laughing.
His heart hammers against his ribcage as he leans in closer, his gaze instinctively drawn to Steve's lips.
"Steve," he whispers, his voice a soft undertone barely audible against the background noise of the laptop.
"Yeah?" Steve's voice matches Eddie's in volume, his breath a warm whisper against Eddie's skin.
His heart still pounding, Eddie swallows, nerves and anticipation causing his voice to tremble. He knows what he wants this moment to mean, but once he acknowledges it, there's no going back.
Steve's courage must be rubbing off on him because he still asks the question that's been on his mind since their conversation in his apartment. "Do you... do you ever wonder what it would be like if this was real?"
Steve's eyes search Eddie's face, his own a complex mix of hope and uncertainty. Eddie feels like he's seconds away from a heart attack as he waits for Steve's answer. When it comes, Steve's voice is barely audible; Eddie reads it as much from his lips as he hears it.
"Every day."
Hearing Steve's answer, Eddie's breath hitches and he feels a tidal wave of emotions he can no longer suppress. "Me too."
Later, Eddie couldn't tell who leaned in first, and honestly, it doesn't matter because in that moment, it's clear they both want it. As soon as their lips meet, it feels like the universe has aligned and everything falls into place. The way Steve's lips feel against his is nothing short of divine, so maybe Eddie needs to rethink his stance on soul mates and destiny.
While the first press of lips is soft, even tentative, the kiss quickly deepens as they pour years of unspoken feelings into it.
When they finally pull away for air, they are both breathless. Eddie laughs softly, the sound a mixture of disbelief and pure joy.
"Just like your story, huh?" he whispers, the corners of his mouth lifting in a smile.
Steve grins in return, his thumb gently tracing Eddie's cheek in an intimate gesture. "Yeah. Only this time it's real."
"It better be," Eddie says before leaning in to capture Steve's lips once more. They share another kiss, and then another, until the bowl of popcorn between them is forgotten and the laptop screen goes dark.
The next morning, they wake up tangled together under the sheets. Eddieâs head rests on Steveâs broad chest, their legs entwined and Eddie hugging Steveâs torso like a pillow. Steveâs left arm is wrapped around his waist while his right hand cards through Eddieâs hair, indicating he's awake.
Last night was real, is his first coherent thought.
When Eddie lifts his head, he feels Steveâs breath hitch and his arm around his waist tighten. The hand in his hair stops its gentle ministrations, and Eddie makes an involuntary noise of protest.
Steve laughs softly at him and continues. âMorning, sleepyhead.â
âWhat time is it?â Eddie half asks, half yawns.
âAlmost noon. I was waiting for you to wake up because you were using me as your own personal teddy bear and I didnât wanna wake you.â
Eddie feels his cheeks heat up and hastily tries to untangle himself from Steve, but is stopped by strong arms.
âI wasnât complaining. In fact, I really like it. Youâre cute like that, even when youâre drooling on my shirt.â The soft kiss to his forehead matches the fond tone of Steveâs voice.
Snuggling deeper into Steveâs embrace, he asks, âSo yesterdayâŠ?â
â...has been something I wanted to do for a long time.â
Itâs hard to believe, Steve wanting to kiss him for so long. Maybe for as long as Eddie has wanted to.
âWhy didnât you do it before yesterday then?â
He feels Steve shrug underneath him. âFigured you didnât want me to. When I tried to flirt with you, get to know you, you made it pretty clear that you werenât interested. So I stopped. Tried to act like I didnât think about kissing you every time I saw you.â
This time, Eddie lifts his head to look down at Steve. âI am such a fucking idiot, Steve. You shouldnât want to kiss me. When we first met I was so sure you wereââ he pauses and Steve helpfully adds, âa rich asshole jock.â âYeah. Took me a while to get over myself and realize you were nothing like that. When I did, it seemed like you already moved on. I was too scared to get rejected, especially because I wouldâve deserved it. So I acted like I didnât think about kissing you every time I saw you.â
Gazing into each otherâs eyes, they both burst out laughing.
âGod, weâre idiots,â Steve laughs, rubbing his nose against Eddieâs. Then, his eyes suddenly widen. âMax can never find out! I had to promise her that I wouldnât let this turn into âone of those rom-com clichĂ©s where everything goes horribly wrong because no one just talked to each other.ââ
The sound that leaves Eddieâs mouth is half laugh, half groan. âWe shall never speak of this then.â
And just because he can, he steals another kiss from Steve before his face and tone turn sober.
âOnly Chrissy and Birdie know about our idiocy. In a way, your story about how we got together is true, just the timeline is a bit different. How about we just come back and live the married life weâre supposed to?â
Wrapping his strong thighs around Eddieâs waist and bringing their groins together, Steve smiles up at him. âIâd love that,â he says, kissing Eddie. Deep and dirty and hungry.
They donât leave the cabin for the rest of the day.
One afternoon a few days later, lying on a blanket by the lake, Eddie turns to Steve, propped up on one elbow. "What's next on the agenda when we get back home?"
Steve thinks for a moment, then smiles. "Honestly? I don't know. I just want to be with you. We'll figure the rest out as we go."
Eddie feels a warmth spreading through his chest. Still, he has to ask. "Who are you and what have you done to Steve?"
Tracing Eddie's slightly sunburned cheek with his finger, Steve laughs softly. "He just learned that good things can happen when you don't plan for them. Like falling in love and marrying that person before learning that they might even like you back."
"Love you back,' you mean," is all Eddie says. He presses a quick kiss to the soft skin of Steve's stomach before settling back down on the blanket.
As the sun sets, casting a warm glow over the water, they sit in comfortable silence, watching the world change colors.

i see people keep saying since we got tommy people start to hate on eddie and it can not be farther from the truth, cuz what does tommy has to do with eddie treating his gfs like shit???
the main reason im not eddieâs fan anymore is this and heâs been like this since the day ONE!
i know he is troubled and obviously has mental health issues but being mentally ill can justify things to some extent.itâs like he doesnât learn!
tommy was awful in s2 and i hated him for it but now we know he was in a bad mental state back then but even knowing this dose not justify what he did/said what is important however is that tommy has changed from what he was back then and he doesnât make those mistakes anymore.
stop glossing over eddieâs awful behavior with his gfs and blame someone who has nothing to do with anything for it.
if taylor and abby did buck dirty eddies girlfriends literally did nothing wrong!
lmk when eddie start treating them right and iâll be his number 1 fan again.
and donât give me that âhe gay he doesnât know how women worksđ€Șâ bullshit cuz you donât have to have some specific sexual orientation to not leave your disable child and wife multiple times.

wiggly worm wednesday đȘ±
shout out to @someforeignband for encouraging this brain worm madness
(donât know if iâve posted anything from this yet so if i have pretend like itâs the first time youâre seeing it đ«¶)
hereâs a moment from my Twister / Storm Chaser AU
âââââââ
Robin was full of questions when he got home. Steve debriefs the whole interview, conversation, whatever it was.
âEddie sounds hot,â she says halfway through, âand that's coming from me, a capital L Lesbian, I donât know how you survived.â
Neither does Steve, to be honest. Heâs known heâs gay since Nancy broke up with his senior year. Being with girls in a more intimate way just seemed like a chore to him, Steve just thought thatâs how everyone felt. That was until Nacy screamed in his face about how obvious it was he never enjoyed being with her like that, how he needed to get checked out medically because any guy would ruin his own pants just to feel her up behind the bleachers. And yeah, so maybe Steve never really understood why his friends were so obsessed with their girlfriends until he and Tommy drunkenly made out on graduation night and Steve saw stars when Tommy started making breathy sounds and grabbing Steve in ways that made him feel light as a feather and heavy as a brick at the same time. And, yeah, they never spoke about it again.
âYeah well, Iâm not trying to get into something right now Robs, especially not with my much older new boss.â
Robin lets out an exasperated sigh, âSteve you are no fun! Just because you donât want to buy does not mean you cannot window shop. A daily dose of eye candy is good for the soul.â
So Steve has a small, tiny, minuscule crush that's not even a crush on Eddie. Heâs attractive and he clearly knows it. Steve is sure everyone in this town has Eddie on their hall pass list.
What didnât help this budding crush that's not a crush was Eddie showing up on his doorstep at one in the morning about a week later.
âHiya Steve, time to go, A big storm forming a few hours away, If we speed we can make it in time before any rotation starts,â He says quickly, letting himself into the apartment.
He was in a cut-up Dio shirt that stopped just below his belly button and showed off his muscular arms. His worn jeans sat on his hips perfectly creating a perfect peek-a-boo for Eddieâs happy trail. And oh and Eddie now had thick and heavy rings on that made his hands look so much⊠more. Steve had to take a deep breath and force his eyes to stay up.
This is just embarrassing he thought to himself Youâre not fucking thirteen Steve get it together.
Eddieâs eyes rake over him darkly. Steve looks down at himself suddenly very aware of only being in a pair of boxers and he turns around without a word and goes to his room to change. When he reappears he sees Eddie standing in the middle of the living room looking around like heâs afraid to break anything.
âSo howâd you know which apartment was mine?â Steve asks.
The older man turns to look at Steve, now properly dressed âSteve, itâs not too many people moving in, just had to ask the night shift front desk what room âthe new kidsâ lived in,â he says with a sly smile, âand I happen to know Tracy personally so it wasnât difficult to get her to give up the information that she definitely definitely should not just be handing out.â
âââââââ
I want to see everyoneâs worms!! YES EVEN YOURS! if you see this youâre tagged đ«”

So I read a comment from a Buddie tiktok video that basically says that after Buck's Bi storyline, everyone agrees that Buck is Bi and Eddie is gay.
Now it got me thinking, and I know I'm most likely late in saying this as many others have realized it already. But in my defense, I stopped watching 911 after I finished Season 3 and just continued watching S4-S6 the past few weeks so I can catch up and watch Season 7.
So, I just want to point out and express what I've noticed from the past seasons (especially in S6), and what I realized after reading that comment that they've been hinting about Eddie's lack of knowledge when it comes to relationships. The 118, mostly, tells him that he lacks experience and all because he'd only really been with Shannon. Now, in Season 7, they are pointing that out again.
What I'm getting from that is that he didn't really have the opportunity to explore within himself before. He married Shannon when she got pregnant. Then his life after that just got focused on Christopher, especially after Shannon left (and most especially after she passed away).
Eddie wasn't given a chance to know who he is and what he wants and needs in life. He just assumed he's straight because he was with a woman before. When he started dating again, his mind thinks that he's only attracted to women because that's all he knows. So it never occurred to him that he could be attracted to a man.
But the thing is, none of his relationships after Shannon ever worked out for him (we all know Marisol will soon be gone). Just like what happened with Anna. That was his stable relationship after Shannon in the show. But what happened was he had a panic attack when he realized how easy and "ready-made family" they were.
But what he never realized is that with Buck, everything is also easy and they are also a "ready-made family." Hell, he even made Buck as Chris' legal guardian, and they effin' raise Chris together. They're already co-parenting. But Eddie is comfortable with all that with Buck and he accepts it and he is happy with it. You can add all the Jealous Eddie moments in there towards Buck's girlfriends before.
So yeah, what I'm saying is that yeah, Eddie could really be gay and he just never considered the possibility. Maybe he never got attracted to any man before because there was Shannon. His mind already thinks he loves Shannon and that was the right thing. And when he meets Buck, he gets attracted to him, gets attached to him, cares for him, and loves him, but the only problem is that the setting in his mind is set on him being straight and all his feelings for Buck is just because they've become best friends. So, he doesn't realize and acknowledge those feelings in a romantic way.
I think they're hinting at it more now and will approach that storyline for him (about his sexuality). Hopefully, they would and that will ultimately lead everything to Buddie. I just want them to approach it naturally if they're ever going in that direction though. Give Eddie time to realize everything and accept it and himself first (maybe even him seeing other men first and figuring himself out) before he accepts his feelings for his best friend.
Yeah, so that is all. I know I'm late to this but I just want to express my thoughts and feelings. (Yes, this means, I have no one to talk to about this other than post it here haha)

This Is why we can't have nice things - Eddie Munson
part 5
NOTE I am adding a new character his name is Alex and he is on the basketball team i imagine him as Conrad Fisher
It's been 3 weeks since I got kicked out of Hellfire, Cheerleading was going good I had the attention I wanted. Eddie had to deal with the Basketball team giving him shit in class and at lunchtime he got into 5 fights this week alone Im surprised he hasn't been suspended yet.
Jason was throwing a party today after his basketball game I was obviously invited knowing Eddie this will be a good opportunity to sell drugs. He will be there.
I was in the locker room changing from my cheer uniform to the dress I got for the party today it was a satin dress that hugged every curve in my body.
"Are you gonna wear that for the party?" Robin asked I was nervous it showed a lot more skin than I would have liked.
"Yes, is it bad should I go home and change it?" I said panic attacking my expression
"girl if I was straight I'd be gay for you in that dress." she joked knowing I knew she was gay.
"Really thank god," I sigh in relief. "Eddie will go crazy for it" she smirked "ROBIN" I smack her shoulder playfully "What don't tell me you are not wearing it for Alex," she said in defence.
yes, I wore it to make his blood boil I mean he is a man after all. It wasn't the fact that Eddie kicked me out of hell fire that enraged me is how he acted after we fucked this is why we can have nice things.
"How are things with Vickie," I asked trying to change the subject.
"I think she likes me Im not sure it's just the looks she gives me is so weird I don't want to fuck up what we have over me kissing her or telling her how I feel I'm trying my best to keep my chill." Robin yaps
"Relax take a breath just look out for hints and ask questions that might lead you somewhere. "
"I saw you with Alex the other day after chemistry." She said closing her locker she wore baggy jeans with a cute top.
"I was helping him with some homework" I giggled following her out to the school parking lot "was that homework included kissing him?"
"I didn't kiss him he kissed me" I clarified Alex was sweet and kind he wasn't like the other guys on the team he is cute but I don't know he might just pity me. The rumours started after hellfire that I was a victim of Eddie's cult or that I was groomed but Eddie was Almost 4 years older than me so our age gap wasn't a big one I turn 18 next week.
"So take your chance he is hot you are hot and clearly isn't as complicated as Eddie." She said opening the passenger side of my car.
"if he asks me out I won't say no. " I turned on the engine.
"Good!" she exclaimed.
...
The party was big everyone in school was there i lost Robin 10 minutes into the party. It wasn't long till Alex found me and got me a drink.
"Can we go somewhere quiet?" he yelled through the music I nodded in response he took me to the backyard of the house it was much quieter there.
"I want to ask you something," he said to me his eye focused on mine it was enchanting. the realisation hit me he was gonna ask me to be his girlfriend I saw that coming from a mile away we had been spending so much time after class for the past 3 weeks he was handsome and kind but I didn't want to shut him down I think might develop feelings for him the only thing was stopping me was me being hung up on Eddie speaking of which my glanced at him in the corner of my eyes he was making out with a blond girl I couldn't place who she was but he was looking at me and Alex focused on us more than the girl with him.
"Sure ask away" I chuckled nervously my heart was beating faster by the minute. "I really Like you Y/N" he stated "I like you too Alex" I sheepishly answered he was nervous. " I want to ask you if you want to be my girlfriend" his voice deepened. Eddie was still looking at us raining on my parade
"I would love to be your girlfriend." I smiled he kissed me Alex kissed me it was soft and gentle like he was afraid to break me.
his hand slid on my cheeks deepening the kiss it was passionate not hungry and urgent, it was nice.
we went back to the rest of the party Alex yelled something through music to his friends I gathered that he was telling them that he asked me out and I said yes The next thing I knew I was crowd surfing.
god, this isn't how I pictured it going.
"Toast, toast, toast!" they cheered at me one of them giving me a drink and Alex carrying me on his shoulders
"Here is a toast to my real friends they don't care about the He said She said!" the crowd roared "And here is to my baby he doesn't care about what they are calling me lately." I scanned the room my eyes falling on Eddie the crowd going silent knowing where eyes looked "And here is to you because forgiveness is a nice thing to do" the crowd started murmuring Alex looked up at me confused until I started laughing so hard I if it wasn't for Alex holding me tight I would fell "I can't even say it with a straight face" they all started laughing cheering and drinking all the drinks in their hands. Alex dropped me down on my legs giving me a kiss
I took a glimpse at Eddie where I could swear I saw steam coming out of his ears. This is why we can't have nice things
